Welcome to the country of Aliasia. Here we humans live and work together with mystical creatures known as pokemon. Pokemon like humans come in many shapes and sizes and interact with humans in different ways. From aiding us in the fields to helping us defend our homes pokemon are a daily part of life here in Aliasia. I am scholar Spruce and I have made it my life’s mission to study these incredible creatures. As such I roam the country to see as many kinds of pokemon as I can. But enough about me who are you?

Oh so your mother is a witch. While that does have the potential to lead to some difficult circumstances it also has it's own benefits. Even if civilization may not be your best friend you may find it easier to find an ally in wild pokemon. After all pokemon have always been more inclined to listen to those with a more mystical nature. Anyhow this is the fate that you have been born to, but it may not be all that fate holds for you. For much like the seasons the natures of man and pokemon often change. No go forth and see what fate has in store for you.

You wake up to the scent of mother brewing another one of her potions in the next room over. Sighing you rise out of bed thinking on that strange voice that invaded your dream, but for the life of you it remains out of reach. As you step out of bed you are almost blinded by the light reflecting off Fe’s shiny metallic body. As you gently shake her awake Geisty, mothers Gourgeist, appears in your doorway signaling to you that your mother wished to see you. So you pick up Fe and head into the next room. In it you see your mother standing over her cauldron.
“Morning son, I hope you had a good night’s rest as I need you to head over to the city to trade these potions for me”, she says pointing to 5 glass vials with a blue mixture in them. “Now I know you were planning to hang out with your friends, but if you do this I will give you some money to go buy what you want.”
At that moment there is a knocking at the door signifying the arrival of your friends. As you look to the door Geisty hands you a bag and pushes you to the door. Resigned to your fate you open the door to see…

Your friends Cornelius Silva and Chris Red. Cornelius is wearing a cloak that is lined with Ninetails fur and as always is wearing his family seal on his right hand which is currently resting on the pommel of his sword. In the hood of his cloak you notice Imperius napping. Beside him Chris is in a plain but serviceable tunic with his shield hanging off a strap slung over his shoulder and his spear in hand. At his feet is Spike who is wearing a bandanna that matches the one on Chris’ forehead.
“Greetings Donn”, says Cornelius, “I hope you are ready for the training that we had scheduled. Chris was finally able to get the training field ready for us to use.”
“About that”, you begin, “Well you see my mother wants me to head to the city to go sell these potions so I won’t be able to do any normal training. However if you guys want to we could train on the way there.”
“Well that is a rather large change of plans, but I think that that might be doable”, responds Cornelius while Chris just nods. “Now if it wouldn’t be too much of an issue could we possible stop by the farm there is something that I would love to show you guys and it could possibly make the trip easier.”

“Sure why not I see any reason to not go their especially if it could make our lives easier”, you say as you head out the door. The three of you manage to get half of the way to town before you here an unfamiliar cry. All of a sudden a Vulpix runs from out of the bushes before its legs are bound by some string. The Vulpix falls down and shifts into a black creature with red markings. From behind it comes five Spinarks whom open seeing you begin to move towards you menacingly.

Everyone take on a different Spinarak. Preferable the closest ones. This way we can hope the farthest can't reach us yet.
So basically:
Donn -> Spinarak 1
Fe -> Spinarak 2
Cornelius -> Spinarak 3
Imperius -> Us as a group if this works. Else Cornelius.
Chris -> Cornelius preferably, Imperius too if it works.
Spike -> Spinarak 4

You quickly leap into action striking at the Spinark closest to the tied up pokemon. You manage to land a direct hit slashing the tiny bug across its back. It tries to retaliate by launching a needle from its forehead, but you manage to move to the side quickly enough. However the success that you had is not shared by the rest of you friends. Cornelius moves to attack the third Spinark with Imperius lending him her power, but it leaps out the way launching a needle towards your friends face. Luckily for him Chris manages to intercept the needle with his shield protecting Cornelius from harm. Spike tries to blitz the fourth Spinark but it manages to dodge and when Spike comes to a stop it shoots a line of thread around Spikes leg and connects it to the floor restricting spikes movement. However, Fe got the worst end of it as when she tried to tackle the second Spinark it managed to dodge out the way causing her to bump into a tree and while she was disorientated it and the fifth Spinark launched needles at her, and though they don’t do much you can see that she is not in the best shape.

You pull out one of your mud-slap tags from your bag. As you begin to channel energy into the tag you notice that things are not going that well for your friends. Chris tries to spear the Spinarak at your feet and despite its weakened state it manages to dodge out of the way and launch a needle at Chris which hits him in the shoulder. Spike tries to help out Fe by striking the fifth Spinarak, but once the thread that was attached to him slows him allowing the Spinarak to dodge, but, luckily for Spike, its counter needle misses. Fe once again has no luck with the second Spinarak who dodges the mud-slap and in retaliation spits out thread and binds her hind legs to the tree behind her. Determined to succeed you release the energy you placed in the tag at the third Spinarak which just shot a needle at you. The mud-slap stops the needle the Spinarak manages to slide out of the way rather quickly.

“Um I seem to be in need of a spot of assistance”, as you turn to the sound of Cornelius’ voice you see the young noble on the ground with thread wrapped around his legs. Imperius is on the ground besides him with its mouth webbed up. The fourth Spinarak is moving towards the two of them cautiously. Things are not going so well for you all.

Fe tries to get out of the bounds and mud-slap the Spinarak that is attacking Cornelius.
Cornelius shall defend himself against the approaching Spinarak.
Imperius shall tackle it.
Chris shall attack Fe's Spinarak, too. Maybe focusing on a few instead of spreading out our attacks is better.
Spike shall then Quick-Attack the fifth one again. Maybe we're luckier this time.

Unfortunately the moment you turn around you feel a sharp pain in your shoulder and a hot sensation begins to flow from it. Pushing through the pain you move to attack the spinarak. Once again the bug dodges causing you to stumble to the floor. Before the spinarak can take advantage of your position Chris’ spear darts towards it nicking it across the back. As you rise to your feet you look over to see Cornelius and Imperius’ situation has worsened as the fourth spinarak has been joined by the first and they have managed to bind Cornelius’ legs and arms to the ground forcing him to struggle on the ground. Imperius charges towards the fourth spinarak, letting out a muffled cry, but the small bug once again proves its agility by quickly dodging around her while shooting its thread. The little bug gives the thread it made a quick yank binding its legs together. All of a sudden you see a blue streak rush towards the fifth spinarak sending it flying towards the first. It lands on the firsts back on its back knocking the first spinarak out. Spike comes to a stop with a rather pleased look on its face though it quickly changes to a more serious one once it sees the situation.

The fourth and third spinarak are fine, the fifth is heavily wounded, and the second is lightly
injured.

Donn takes on the fifth Spinarak. This should do to take it out.
Fe Mud-slaps the second one.
Cornelius should try to break out of his bounds and attack the fourth Spinarak.
Imperius should try to break out and tackle number four.
Chris should attack the second one after it got mud-slapped. Should make it easier to go for the kill.
And Spike should try to Quick-Attack the fourth one. It worked one time, why not a second one?

You pull away from the spinarak that just gave you so much trouble instead electing to attack the recently flipped over spinarak. You quickly make your way to where the fifth spinarak is flipped over. As you move to strike at it you feel your arm being caught by something. You quickly look down to see that a line of thread is attached to your arm and it is held by the third spinarak. You try to move your arm despite the thread, but you are struck once again by a pain in your shoulder. Thanks to your current predicament the fifth is able to bind your legs together which will make it difficult to move. You look back over to where Fe was bound and see that she managed to struggle free of the binding. She fires a mud-slap towards the spinarak. The little bug manages to dance out of the way and fires a stream of thread towards at Fe sealing here mouth shut. Chris tries to strike at the creature before it takes advantage of the situation but it manages to leap out of the way once more and as it does so you swear you see a smirk appear on its face. Over by Cornelius you see that Spike is trying to strike at the fourth spinarak and though it dodges its distraction creates an opportunity.

“Let’s go Imperius”, shouts Cornelius as he gets up pushing through the threads around his arms and legs hobbling towards the spinarak, “We can’t let it mock us like this”. As the spinarak staggers back it fumbles into the path of Imperius who, freed from its bonds, charges at the spinarak sending it into Cornelius’ way. Cornelius raises his sword and for the first time he manages to slash it putting it down. The battle is beginning to turn, but you still aren’t in the best of situations.

The third spinarak is fine, the fifth is heavily wounded, and the second is lightly injured.

You try to strike at the fifth spinarak once more and this time you are stopped by nothing. Your knife slashes down ending the insects menace. You turn behind you to try to go for the third spinarak who stopped you from attacking the last time, but you see that the situation is beginning to take care of itself. Spike charges the third spinarak at a blinding speed launching it into the air. It flies over toward Chris who tries to hit it with his spear, but the spinarak twists to the side barely dodging the swipe of his spear. Unfortunately for the spinarak it falls towards imperius who charges at the falling creature sending it flying into a tree.

“The tides are in our favor”, shouts Cornelius as he charges at the spinarak who was attacking Fe. Hearing his cry the spinarak turns to face him and dodges out of the way. However, before he manages to strike back at the noble he is hit from behind by a tackle from Fe.

Weary from that surprisingly difficult battle you walk over to the strange black pokemon clutching your injured shoulder.

“So what do you guys think we should do with this pokemon”, you ask you two friends as they join you.

“Well we could take it to the healers, leave it or kill and skin it for its pelt. Personally I don’t like the third one as that would be both messy and tiring, especially after all that we just went through. Oh, and speaking of what we just went through, let us never speak of this again”, he says sighing as he sheaths his sword and picks up imperius cradling her in his arms. You see Chris nodding in agreement as he begins to pet and praise Spike for a job well done. As you begin to ponder the issue you feel Fe rubbing her head against your leg. “Okay guys let’s bring the pokemon. I mean we did go through all of that to save it”, you say as you pick up the small creature and place it in your bag besides the potions and your four remaining tags. The three of you quickly rush to town. As you rush through the town gates you see some of the gaurds on duty wave towards Chris and Cornelius, but the three of you keep rushing bumping into a fair number of people on your way through town. Then you see it, the town healers run the Morleyson family. As you step in you are hit by the smell of herbs and berries reminding you of your own house whenever your mother works on a potion.

“Are you just going to sit around and stare or did you have a purpose in coming in here”, says an aggravated voice knocking you from your thoughts. You look to the direction of the voice to see Jonathan Morleyson sorting through some berries with his unusually colored ralts. “If you wish to see my parents head into the back room, and leave your weapons before you go in.” The three of you listen to him and head in through the door into a room where the stench of herbs is more powerful with every breath you take seeming to make you stronger.

“Oh dear, you seem to have been caught in one nasty fight”, says Mrs. Moorleyson as she steps from out her herb closet, “Luckily for you Joy can help you”. As she says this her Chansey walks over to you from behind her. Joy walks over to the three of you and waggles her finger sending out a rejuvenating pulse at the three of you and your pokemon. Joy then walks over to you and pokes you in the shoulder and all of a sudden the pain in your shoulders fades. “Is that all that you will be needing”, asks Mrs. Morleyson.

“Well about that”, you say as you lift the pokemon from your bag, “We found this pokemon passed out in the forest could you help it?”

“Of course that will be no problem, but I will need some help from my son”, as she says this she rings a little bell and Jonathan walks in with his ralts riding on his shoulder. He places his hands on the pokemons forehead while joy does the same thing that she did for you for it. After she is done Johnathan takes his hands off its forehead looking towards you.

“He says that he thanks you for saving him and that he would like to ask for some help. You see his pack was attacked by a group of people and he and his mother managed to get away. However, she was caught and he would like your help in finding her.”

“I will help him, after all I have to head to the city anyway for my mother. It won’t be too hard for me to keep my eyes out for a place where she might be hiding,” you say smiling at the little creature whose face brightens at your words.

“Okay then I will assist in your search”, says Jonathan as he picks up a bag from a hook.

“Wait why do you want to help us”, asks Cornelius with a surprised look on his face.

“Well for starters I want vengeance against the people who did this to his family. Also, unless you have recently developed the ability to talk to pokemon I am the only one here who can talk to pokemon which would make this search easier”, he says as he lifts has ralts into the bag, “Oh and so you know the pokemon is called a zorua and my ralts is known as Isis, and for your own safety do not get in the way of her and food”, with these words he places the pokemon into your bag.

With Jonathan following behind the three of you head to the farm on the outskirts of town. “Hey Jonathan does he have any idea where his mother might be hiding? Also, would he be fine if I called him Coyote”, you turn your head to ask him

Johnathan gives the small pokemon a glance and says, “He would be fine with that name if you really insist on calling him that. Also, his packs den was in one of the caves in the forest so she would probably be somewhere around there”.

You begin to hear the sounds of a large group of pokemon and turn your head back just in time to see a group of ponyta galloping by. As you enter the farm you see a ponyta is standing by itself with Lisa Bartha, the farmer’s daughter and her bunnelby.

“That is what I wanted to show you all”, says Cornelius with a smile, “You see thanks to my families position I now have a ponyta”. With that he leads you all over to the ponyta and Lisa. Lisa see all of you walks the ponyta over with a sad look on her face.

“Take good care of Ember okay”, says Lisa mournfully as she hands Cornelius the reigns, “She’s one of the best ponyta’s we have ever raised.”

“Don’t worry I will take great care of her”, replies Cornelius as he takes the reigns with a smile. At this Coyote decides to peak out of the bag catching Lisa’s attention.

“What’s that pokemon”, she asks confusion plainly written on her face as she leans towards the small figure in your bag.

A. Tell her what he is and your mission
She seems chill enough.

As far as feedback goes, I like the feel of this quest so far, though the combat scenes are a bit harder to get through. Maybe think about separating the larger paragraphs into smaller chunks?

And this may be an unpopular opinion, but I don't think we should have complete control over our allies and their Pokémon. Let their individual personalities take over, and they do what they feel is best, unless we somehow attain a leadership position.

“Well Lisa this is Coyote, and he is a pokemon called a Zorua”, you say as you point to him, “the four of us have decided to help him find his mother after they got separated by some hunters.”

“Really that sounds pretty darn neat”, she says with a look of amazement on her face, “Do you think that I could come and help you. I am really good with pokemon I might be able to help find them. I also could help care for Ember while you all are searching.”

“That does sound rather useful”, says Cornelius looking rather thoughtful as I turn to look back at him, “The decision ultimately lies with you Donn. However, if you want my personal opinion I feel that she could be helpful and I would love to have someone help me take care of Ember.”

You look back at Chris and Jonathan who both give a shrug and return to what they were doing. Jonathan examining the Ponyta’s and Chris drops to the ground to do pushups with Spike.

“I see no reason you can’t join”, you say. As soon as those words are out of our mouth you see here face light up with joy.

“You mean I really can join”, she says with a smile that engulfs her whole face. She lifts up her Bunnelby and begins to spin around with it, “Did you here that Digger where going to go on a real adventure now. Not just one around the farm, but one like in the stories. We might even meet a prince. This is so wonderful we have to get ready right now.” With that she rushed off into the farm house kicking up dust behind her.

“I will be completely honest with you I did not expect that to happen”, mutters Cornelius looking at the house with confusion written all over him.

“Well if you knew her better you understand one simple thing about her”, Jonathan says looking away from the Ponyta’s, “She adores adventures of any kind. In fact she is one of my families most visited people because of that. She has a good heart, but she can get herself into some rather idiotic situations at times”.

As soon as Jonathan finishes saying that Lisa comes running out of the house with a pack as big as she is. “I’m all ready to go”, she says barley breathing, “So where are we heading first? To a bandit’s nest, to fight a Salamance, or are we going to go to the capital.”

“Well we were going to head over to Vert city to turn in some potions my mother made first”, you manage to say before she can continue.

“That sounds swell. Now let’s all get a move on there’s adventuring to be done”, she says marching away. The rest of you follow her onto the road and begin the journey to the city.

As the five of you make it to the edge of the forest you notice something strange around you. To begin with the sounds of wild pokemon that had followed you for most of your journey begin to fade away. On the path ahead is littered with signs of a recent passage by a large group of people.

“Coyote says that he can smell his mother here”, says Jonathan as he begins to look around, “Though he can’t tell exactly how long ago and the scent is one of many. It seems that the hunters came out this way.”

“That means that this is the first of many clues that we will find on our journey”, spouts Lisa who begins to look around the forests edge for anything that could be used as a clue, “We should probably hurry who knows what those scoundrels could get up to before we stop them. For all we know they could be plotting to overthrow the whole kingdom. We must do everything in our power to stop them”.

“As delightful as your enthusiasm is Lisa”, begins Cornelius as he stares at her with a look of sleight annoyance, “We don’t know where they went or where they are going. Even if we could find out this information we can’t know their numbers or what pokemon they have, if they even have pokemon. So I personally would suggest that we continue onto the city and once we are done there we come back with some assistance to search for these hunters. After all who would jump to help when I announce that I will be giving an award for whoever can find the hunters. Which idea do you think is better Donn mine which will certainly lead us to victor or hers which lacks in certain areas?”

With him presenting you this choice you begin to look around and see Jonathan not even paying attention and instead picking around a bush. He looks back at you and gives you a look that shows his disinterest in the situation and goes back to rummaging in the bush.

“What do you think Chris”, you ask trying to get another opinion and deflect pressure from yourself.

“Well Lisa’s plan would most likely lead us to the hunters, but as Cornelius said it could be dangerous. However, Cornelius' plan though safe would most likely make it harder or find the hunters. So it is really a choice of do you value safety or speed in the endeavor”, he says pushing the problem back at you.

“How about we go with a combination of both of you suggestions”, you say stepping between the two of them, “Cornelius could you please ride Ember to the city and get some assistance while we go to find the hunters.” He gives you a look and begins to open his mouth to speak, but before he gets the chance you interrupt him saying, “I understand that it would be dangerous, but we have to find Coyote’s pack and this is the best chance that we have. Don’t worry though we won’t be reckless and if there are too many of them we will get away.”

“Fine I guess that could work”, Cornelius says as he gets onto Ember, “Make atrial for me so I can lead the help to you. Hopefully it will not come to this but if the worst happens I shall lead the charge to save you all.” With that he gallops away toward the city kicking up dust on his way.

“Okay then where should we start looking”, asks Lisa jumping around, “Should we all split up and search for clues. Oh what will be our signal for if we find them. I am really good a whistling so you will definitely be able to hear me”. You consider what she said as she starts whistling rather noisly.

“I think we should all search the woods together”, you say causing Lisa to quit jumping.
“But why,” Lisa asks turning her head to the side, “If we all split up that means we could find clues quicker”.

“That may be true”, you reply, “However, if we split up it will be more likely for us to run into the hunters, and like Cornelius pointed out earlier we have no information on them. If one of us was caught off guard by them who knows what could happen”.

“Okay then I guess that makes sense”, says Lisa with renewed energy, “Now let’s go”.
Lisa begins to walk away, but before she makes it into the bushes she stops and begins to glow blue. You look around and see Lisa sitting in Jonathan's bag outstretched and eyes glowing.

“Lisa before you go off allow me to say something”, says Jonathan who looks up from the bush he was examining, “I believe I may have found the path that they have taken”. He points to the side of the bush saying, “I found fur that seems to be similar to Coyote’s. In addition to this the grass is flattened and littered with more of it further down the way”.

At his words Coyote leaps out of your bag and runs to through the bushes.

“Come on we can’t let him get caught alone can we”, you shout as you begin to follow the little creature everyone following close behind you.

As you run after Coyote you slash the trees on the right of you remembering what Cornelius said. All of a sudden you see that Coyote has stopped and has begun to tremble. The four of you slow down and come up to them. Once you reach him you hear some voices and lean to the side to catch a view of them.

“Why did we have to get stuck with catching the damned thing”, says a hunter with a scar across his face.

“You know why you idiot its cause you had to open your stinkin mouth and piss of the boss”, says the angry looking hunter standing across from him, “now the boss is gonna give us all these dumb jobs”.

Suddenly you hear a howl and see in a corner of the clearing is a large black creature with crimson hair that is hunched over on two legs in a tiny cage. You notice that Coyote seems to be growling now confirming your thoughts that it must his mother.

“Time to shut the stupid thing up again”, says the angry one as both of the walk over to the cage and pick up their axes allowing you to notice the Zigzagoons at their feet. This seems like it would be the best time to strike if you want to and Coyote is only barely not running at them.

You pull out one of your tags from your bag and begin to place energy into it. Seeing you do this every one else begins to charge them. Chris and Spike rush out first attacking the angry hunter with Spike dashing quickly at him. Unfortunately he misses hitting the cage calling catching their attention. The angry hunter tries to turn around shouting, but it is too late for him as Chris’s spear causing him to fall back as Chris pulls it out.

You finish gathering the energy and fire the mud-slap at the angry hunter’s Zigzagoon. However, as it was alerted by his master’s death it manages to dodge out of the way. But due to its attempt to dodge it rushes into Fe’s charge. The impact is audibly and the Zigzagoon slams into the cage, and though it manages to get back up it looks unsteady on its feet.

You look over at the scar bandit and see that he is having a much better time of it. The bandit and his Zigzagoon are charging at Lisa who managed to somehow trip. The Zigzagoon charges first, but is intercepted by Digger who counter tackles it leading to a stalemate.

“Useless critter, I guess I’m goanna have to take care of you myself little girl”, says the hunter as he lumbers over to her. Out of nowhere a pebble hits him in the head.

“I really wouldn’t be saying that if I were you”, says Jonathan as he emerges from the bushes with a pebble in his hand, “Isis if you would so please silence him that would be delightful”.
At his bidding Isis’ eyes begin to glow once more, becoming a dark red. The scared bandit begins to clutch his head in pain and falls to the floor.

“Don’t worry”, remarks Jonathan as he walks over to the bandit smirking, “You will live as we need information, but afterwards who knows.

You begin to wonder what you should do now, but are inturpted by a crashing sound. As you turn towards where it came from you see Coyote in front of the cage I pain. He gets up and tries to charge the cage, but it doesn’t do much more than hurt him.

You decide to finish of the Zigzagoon you were fighting. You rush up to it and slash at it with your knife, but it once again dashes out of the way and into Fe’s tackle.

Sighing you turn to see how Lisa did with the other Zigzagoon. As you look over you see that she is still on the ground, but she is closer to the Zigzagoon than she was before. Digger however is making up for his master as he knocks the Zigzagoon into Spike, who comes rushing at it. With it taken care of the fight is over.

You look over at the cage with Coyote’s mother in it and try to see what you can do, but Chris has already taken care of it. He has begun to chop at the cage with the axe of the hunter that he killed. Before he lands the final blow however Coyote leaps at the breaks that he made smashing through it and into his mother. He then begins to cuddle with the larger creature making noises of joy.

“Well I will say this that man had a decent mental defense for an idiot”, says Jonathan pulling your attention over to him, “I wasn’t able to get much information out of him before he passed out. However, I have two important pieces of information his bosses name was Gareth and he is hiding out in the forest mine.”

“How did you ever get that information from him? I didn’t hear anything from him”, you ask as he begins to pet Isis.

“Simple really, Isis can read minds. I just asked the right questions and had her see what thoughts came into his head. It is a simple and easy process”, he says with a rather unnerving smile, “He is still alive though just in case we need anything else”.

Hello I am here and I shall start writing.

You head over to Coyote and his mother to see how she was. As you head over the mother, noticing your approach, backs off, pushing Coyote behind her, baring her claws and growling at you. Seeing his mother react this way Coyote rushes out in front of you and yips at his mother. At this she calms down and goes back to cuddling with Coyote every once and awhile she shudders in pain.

“I guess my services are needed over here”, says Jonathan as he walks over pulling one of his potions out of his bag”.
He walks over to the mother, who flinches as he walks over, and he places his hand on her head. The mother calms down and he gives her the potion to drink. Almost instantly her wounds fade away and she seems to gain new strength.

“Okay lets head back over to the forest edge”, you say as you begin walking around the camp, “but first let’s see what we can find”.
You all get up and search around the camp for anything useful. After a couple of minutes searching you come back together with what you found. Together you the 2 axes the bandits had, 2 bolas, 2 nets, 2 empty bags, and 25 gold pieces which you split up equally with you holding onto Cornelius’ share.

With all of this done you walk over to Coyote to say goodbye, but before you get the chance to do so Jonathan walks over to you.

“Don’t say goodbye”, he says looking over at the two creatures, “just yet they would still like some help with saving their pack so they will be traveling with us. Oh and before you say anything they shall take the appearance of people so as to not bring any attention, and just so you know the mother is what is known as a Zoroark”.

As you look over at the two you see that in place of the two pokemon is little black haired boy and a older women with a similar features and longer hair that goes red closer to its end. The 4 of you and the two pokemon walk back to the forests edge with you and Chris using the bola’s as ropes to bind your prisoners arms and legs and carry you between you. When you get back there is nobody there leaving you with some choices.

“We should probably start heading to the city”, you say, “After all we did send Cornelius over that way. Who knows we may run into him on the way there”.

With that you all begin to head to the city. After you have gone for a decent distance you stop to rest from carrying the bandit and the activity of the day. Behind you comes a mighty growling noise shocking you. Leaping up you turn to see Lisa holding her stomach
embarrassedly.

“Sorry I’m just really hungry”, she says looking downcast. All of a sudden he face brightens again, “Wait a minute”, she says as she begins to rummage through her pack, “I just remembered I pack some sandwiches just for this situation”. She passes them out and Jonathan grabs some berries from the bushes on the side of the road and feeds them to the pokemon.

Suddenly, you hear hoof beats and look up to see Cornelius with a raven haired boy behind him with a strange pokemon following him begin ridden by a red haired lady in knights armor with a blue haired swordsman riding with her.

“Hello every one you gracious hero has arrived”, says Cornelius as he comes to a stop, “I managed to find assistance so we can go and take care of those idiotic bandits now”.

“Well you would be rather late on that Cornelius”, you say with a grin as you get up tossing him the pouch containing his share, “we took care of the ones that Coyote could smell. Luckliy for you we still have to get them out of their base, the forest mine”.

“Do you know the number of bandits there or their pokemon”, asks the Red haired knight stepping off her strange black and white pokemon which gives of some sparks every couple of seconds.

You begin to say you don’t, but before you can you are interrupted by Jonathan who says, “If the memories of Coyote and his mother are reliable then they have around 10 bandits with an assortment of pokemon. The leader of these bandits has an Ariados that is in charge
of some Spinaraks”.

The knight taken off guard by his words takes a moment to respond, “This bandit leader sounds like a bandit that we have been chasing for a while so we will gladly help you, but one question more. How did you read a pokemon’s memories”, asking warily.

“It is a gift that I possess and have possessed since I was a child though Isis her has made it stronger”, he says as he begins to rub the head of the tiny pokemon.

“Okay then as we have agreed to help you we will let you decide. Would rather head to the city to drop off your prisoner or head directly to their lair now”.

“I think we should strike now be for the have time to be aware that we took out those people”, you say, “But what do you think we should do with our prisoner”.

“Well Storm here can carry him if so let us get moving”, says the Lady Knight as she moves over to the prisoner. She lifts him up and tosses him onto to the pokemon and ties his arms and legs with rope she had in her bag. “Oh”, she says turning towards you, “We have not even properly introduced ourselves. I am Mary and my pokemon is this Zebstrika”, she says as she rubs its neck. “The swordsman’s name is Evan and his partner is a Charmander”, as she says this she points the blue haired swordsman about your age who you see is carrying a strange orange creature with a flame on its tail. “The black haired one is a mage and his name is Alexander and partner is a Noibat”, as she says this the black haired teen shakes his head and you see that his pokemon is purple with large ears, Zubat like wings, and small legs.

“Well it is nice to meet all of y’all”, says Lisa as she jumps, “I’m Lisa and Digger is my bunnelby. Jonathan is over there with the Ralts and the bag, Chris is the one with the spear and Riolu, and finally the one you were talking to is Donn and he has an Aron”, as she says this she points to each of you in turn and you all nod. “Now that we have gotten acquainted lets head off with that she marches off into the direction that you just came in and promptly falls over. As you all quickly head over she just jumps up, smiles, and continues
on her way.

The 10 of you make your way through the forest and make good time while doing so. Just as you are about to hit the forest edge you hear some voices coming from the bushes.

“What the hell happened over there”.

“What did it look like you idiot. Jeff and Tod got taken out and now we got to report it to the boss. Let’s just get this over with”.

The speakers emerge from the bushes. There are three men all identical with identical looking Poocheyenas and a fourth man with a Pidgy on his arm and a bow slung over his shoulder.
Before you can do anything the man with the Pidgy catches sight of you and shouts at the other three.

“Looks like we got ourselves some new marks”, says the one at the head of the three as he pulls out an axe, “It’s time for the axes bothers triple attack”.

The first of the bandit brothers tries to run at you swinging his axe, but before he gets to use it Fe rushes at him. He jumps to the side and right into a bola that you threw tangling his legs and bringing him to the ground. His Poocheyena tries to take advantage of Fe’s position by Rushing at her though Chris and Spike get in the way causing him to hit them instead.

“Have at thee you filthy bandits”, shouts Cornelius as he charges at the second bandit glowing alongside Ember from Imperius releasing energy. The bandit manages to jump to the side, but Cornelius is able to slash at him giving him a decent sized cut in the side.

You see that the archer is trying to tie a red thread to the leg of his Pidgy as he slips the thread on he stops, and puts his left hand to his head. You look over and see that both Jonathan and Isis have their eyes glowing and arms outstretched towards him. Despite this he manages to get the thread around its leg, but you can see he is in incredible pain.
Coyote and his mother stop concealing their forms and charge at the second Poochyena. The beast manages to dodge Coyote’s attack, but is instantly set upon by his mother who ferociously slashes at it with her claws killing it.

Mary with a grim expression and an axe with a long handle in hand charges at the third bandit with the body of Storm being coated in flames. The Bandit manages to dodge the horses charge, but Mary’s axe, crackling with electric energy catches him in the chest ending his life.

Alexander opens up a book and begins to recite some words. As he does this you sense an energy similar to that which gathers in you when you use your tags unfortunately it is interrupted by the third Poocheyena charging at him. However, before the bandit hits him the Noibat flaps its wings causing a gust of wind which sends the Poocheyena back.

“Uh a little help please y’all”, says Lisa pulling you attention to her. She is currently on the ground with the second bandits axe next to her
head and Digger lying beside her.

“Don’t worry girly”, says the bandit leering at her as he clutches his side with his left arm, “We treat pretty things like you right where I’m from. However the rest of all need to lay down your weapons else she may be a bit less pretty”, as he says this he presses the axe closer to her neck. Before anyone can do anything a cloud of smoke appears around him. You look over to see the Charmander spewing smoke from its mouth and Evan charging at the man’s position with his sword cloaked in flames that match the blue of his hair. He slices the man across the chest taking off the arm he was using to hold the axe off. Though the wound cauterizes instantly the man is dead before he falls.

The first Poochyena is fine while his master is tied up, the third Poocheyena wounded, and the archer bandit wounded with his Pidgy fine.

“Time for a second pass”, shouts Cornelius as he pulls Ember around to charge at the Poochyena. Even wounded he manages to doge the charge, but he is unable to dodge Cornelius’ strengthened blade with slashes it across the body finishing it off.

Alexander ones again begins to charge energy, and once again the third Poocheyena charges at him. This time however, Mary strikes at it with her axe finishing it off.

The Pidgy tries to fly away seeing how the battle has not gone well, but is tackled out of the air by the Noibat which allows you to slash at it as it flies by. However its pain doesn’t end there as he is set upon by both Coyote and his mother who finish it off.

You look around the clearing and try to see what you can find on them. You don’t really find much, but you pick up three more axes and the bows and 20 arrows that were on the archer. In addition there is also a key on the archer and together they have 45 gold between them which you all split evenly.

You all take a short break to catch your breaths. Jonathan starts to look over everyone, making sure that everyone is fine. Lisa walks over to Evan and begins thanking him profusely much to his embarrassment. Mary begins to brush zebstrika and places the first bandit as he struggles. Once she gets him on Storm electrocutes the bandit knocking him out.

“So they were the pokemon the whole time”, says Alexander as he looks over towards coyote and his mother, “What an interesting pokemon for it to have such an ability. I would love to study it later, but first we must go save the rest of them”.

With that you all set off with Mary leading storm by the reins. When we get to the clearing with the cave you see 2 men with spears standing in front of the cave. The man on the right has a spear and a Geodude and the man on the left with a bow and Zubat.

You, Jonathan, all share a look and you grab a stone while Lisa picks up the dead archers bow and puts an arrow to it. Alexander sees what you’re doing and understands, grabbing his book and gathering energy. As one you all strike each of you have varied levels of success. You and Fe manage to hit your targets with the Zubat getting hit in the face and the Geodude getting struck by Fe’s mud-slap. Jonathan and Isis have a similar level of success with the archer, who unlike the previous one they attacked falls immediately to their combined assault. However Lisa misses her shot with the Bow hitting the cave wall beside the spearman. Alexander tries to hit the Zubat, but thanks to your stone knocking it down he misses, while his Noibat hits the spear man with a gust.

Cornelius charges at the spear man, for once silent, with his sword at the ready. The man rushes to meet him with his pear down, but Spike rushes him, becoming a blur, and hits the man forcing him to drop the spear. Cornelius’ charge hits the man head on and he falls to Ember’s strengthened charge.

The Spearman’s Geodude is charged by Digger, Coyote, and Coyote’s mother and falls to Digger and Coyote before the mother can even hit it. Finally Evan charges the Zubat and slashes it down.

With the guards taken care of you search their bodies finding 10 gold between them, a spear, a bow with 20 arrows, a bottle full of purplish liquid, and a strange ring. You enter the cave and as you go further in you begin to hear voices.

“So we got the pokemon, what did our friends say to do once we have them”, asks the first man who has an eye patch over left eye, an Ariados in front of him, and 5 Spinaraks behind him.

“They said to transport them over to the Vermilion river, where it meets the river as soon as possible”, says a hooded man gripping a knife hilt with a strange blue pokemon with two claw like things near its face and a tail with two more moving around on legs. Also besides him is another blue pokemon with sacks on each check and an orange middle finger.

You once again go for a repeat of the strategy that served you well at the gate with a little bit of a variation this time as you grab on of your tags, leaving you with two left. Alexander takes notice of your tag, but turns back to his book and as one all of you release your attacks. Your mud-slap and the thunder from Alexander both miss their targets pulling attention over to you. But before the hooded man can react he falls to his knees crippled with pain and an arrow makes its way into his chest finishing him. The Noibat releases a gust at the pokemon that you missed pushing it back and allowing Chris to fire an Arrow at it.

Spike tries to follow up his master’s attack with a quick attack, but he misses as the creature dodges out of the way. Luckily for Spike Cornelius comes in and slashes at the creature finishing it off. Imperius, while still on the back of Ember releases a wave of energy to strengthen Ember. With the power received Ember charges into the Ariados knocking it back. Mary quickly follows up on the attack cutting the Ariados in its back. Digger hops over to the second Spinarak and rams into it sending flying back before it flips to land on its feet.

“Dammit you won’t take me out that easy”, the bandit leader says as he pulls a tag out of his pocket. Immediately he is charged by Coyote and his mother who savagely attack the man responsible for them being hunted. The man screams for a while before he goes silent.

Storm releases electrical energy but it hits nobody, but it does force Evan and his Charamander to dodge leaving them open. The blue creature takes advantage of this by firing a needle from his mouth hitting him in the side. Fe tries to help out Evan by using headbutt, but the creature smoothly dodges out of the way. The Charmander for its part mangers to take out the furthest most Spinarak with a small blast of flame burning it to a crisp. However he is hit by two needles from two of the other Spinaraks. The final one wraps up Spike’s legs in thread causing him to fall.

You rush at the Blue creature with knife in hand and Cornelius at your side. You miss your slash, but Cornelius makes his cutting him across the chest.

“Get out the way y’all”, Lisa shouts at the two of you causing you to dive on the ground. She releases an arrow from her bow that makes it’s into the creature’s neck finishing it off, “I got it yes”. Lisa does a little celebratory dance before noticing that there is still enemies and becoming more serious.

Ember charges at the Ariados once again knocking it over to Mary who finishes it with her axe.

The Charmander fires a small blast of fire at the furthest Spinarak burning another one. The Noibat gusts the first Spinarak knocking it out. Alexander releases a thunder attack and for the first time all day he hits something, landing a direct attack on the Spinarak. It teeters around and is finished off by Storm releasing some electricity.

“Well they have been taken care, but where are the pokemon”, asks Evan as he sheathes his blade. As soon as he asks this Coyote and his mother run it to the back of the cave. As you follow them you come into a room full of pokemon like Coyote and his mother all in cages. You all break open the cages and free the pokemon. With your mission complete you walk out the back of the cave and examine the main room. The eight of you begin searching around the cave.

I'm certainly up for further threads, though I can't say my reply time is as quick as I'd like.

I'd say it's a cool setting you have set up, and I like the various characters you have created. The problem I see is that events seemed a bit rushed, with less room for character interaction than early on. I know that combat can be difficult to work around, but don't be afraid to take some time between different scenes and conflicts.

Looking back through the thread so far, you had a very strong start, with some great conversation and an introduction to the setting and characters. Now that the first major encounter has ended, maybe take some time to get to know our character and his friends?

Regardless, have a good night, and hope to see more soon!

After searching around the room you all meet back together with your gathered loot and examine your spoils. On the bandit leader you find ten tags with five being purpled text and five with a light green text. He also has a bag with 5 more of the strange potions that the other bandit had, which as you have more time to examine seem to be antidotes. You toss two over to Evan who drinks one himself and gives the other to Charmander.

On the Hooded bandit you find 5 vials of strange liquid which you assume are poisons. Also, on him is a crossbow with 10 bolts, his cloak, and a letter signed your friend. When you grab his knife you notice that it and its sheath are made with a strange material. When you hold it up Mary gasps.

“That knife and sheath are made of aura metal”, she says surprised.

“What’s that? I’ve never heard of it”, you say turning to her.

“It makes sense that you have never heard of it. It is an incredibly rare material that can usually only be afforded by the rich. So why would a bandit have such a rare item”, she says looking confused.

“Well it appears that these Bandits have some very wealthy friends”, says alexander as he walks over, “If you would like to know your aura type I can show you once we are done”.

Together you also gather 80 gold counting the gold from the people at the entrance, which you split evenly between you. Giving you 46 gold in total. You also get two more empty bags, five bolas and 5 nets.

You gather to look at the letter which reads, “Gather up all the Zorua’s and Zoroark’s that you can and send them over to where the Vermillion river meets the Vert forest by the 20th day of the mouth and you will see your payment”.

“That’d be five days from now”, Says Lisa, “What should we do”.

You, Cornelius, Lisa, and Jonathan head over to Alexander who looks up from his book at the four of you.

“So I assume that you want me to examine your auras”, he says looking at you, “Fine hold out your hands and I will read them”.

He starts with Jonathan only touching them for a second before moving on. Next, he goes to Lisa who he takes a couple seconds with before moving to Cornelius. As soon as he touches Cornelius he pulls his hands back rushing over to you were the same thing happens.

“Okay that was unpleasant”, he says breathing heavily, “Jonathan as you can guess you have powerful psychic aura and Lisa you have rock aura. Cornelius you have a fairy aura and Donn your aura is one of ice both of which are uncomfortable for someone with a dragon aura like me”.

With that done you all walk to the front of the cave with the Zorua’s and Zoroark’s behind you lead by Coyote and his mother. As you get to the caves entrance you hear a barking behind you.

As you look down you see Coyote run up to you and leap onto you. He licks your face a bit and nuzzles you before jumping down to talk to Fe. He then runs back to his mother and together with the rest of the pack they rush off into the forest.

“He said thank you and I hope we meet again”, says Jonathan as he turns to you, “Well not in those exact words. Well any way we should hurry if we wish to make it to the city soon”.
With that you head to the city and for once make your way somewhere unharrassed. As you near the gates Mary speaks to you all.

“We have our own business in the city so we can’t go with you if you are going to do something else. When you are ready meet us at Lord Maximillian’s castle”, as she says this she heads into town with the prisoners.

You buy 2 potions for yourself and sell the poisons splitting up the money evenly leaving you with 51g. Seeing you do this leads to everyone else buying potions for themselves.

With your purchases made you head to Arcane Knowledge. When you enter the store you see a small crystal light up. Almost immediately a lady wearing a large hat walks over to you with a Kadabra and an Abra at her side.

“Greetings I am Mia owner of this fine establishment. What can I do for you my fine costermers”, with that see warps you all to the counter.

“Could you please examine these tags for me?” you ask as you take two of your new tags and show them to her.

“Well I can, but as I have never done this before you shall either have to pay 5g for each or promise to do me a favor. So what do you say”, she says giving you a piercing stare.

A. Pay up
B. Promise favor
C. Don’t

We've got only two kinds of tags needing to be identified, right? This would cost 10 gold overall. Seems like a fair price.

“Pay the price”, you say as you pull out 10g and hand it to her along with the tags.

“Thank you for you patronage”, she says as she takes the tags into her hands. She releases a small bit of energy around them then looks back at you. “It appears that this one”, she says holding up the light green tag, “Contains the move string shot. While the other one is a poison sting. Now would you like to buy anything”, she asks she hands you the tags.

Then I would say we should buy a pen, three ink and four tag paper, coming to at total of 30g, leaving us with 11g. I think this sounds good.
>>
>>903140
I agree with >>903616
Also, what does a spellbook do for us? Does it contain tags moves that we don't have, or is it a method for us to record more moves later on?

It records moves so you don't have to use tags which burn out with use. Alexander has one.

>>
You purchase a pen, 3 vials of ink, and 4 things of tag paper handing over 30g to the shopkeeper before heading out

“If you ever are in need of gold anytime soon stop by as my offer for work still stands”, she says to you as you head thorough the door.
The five of you walk over to the castles gate. At the gate are two guards who stop you once you get to it

“State your business”, says the guard on the right who’s Houndoom growls at you.

“We have come to talk with Lord Maximillian about a bandit issue. Three people should have come here earlier we are with them”, you say to the guard.

He looks you over for a couple of seconds before allowing you all through. You go through the gate and see Alexander waiting for you in the main hall.

“Follow me”, he says as he turns and marches through the castle. The five of you follow with Lisa looking around in audible wonder at the opulence of the castle. You have to admit she has a point as the walls are covered in beautiful paintings and there are impressive suits of armor decorating the halls.

The 5 of you follow Alexander into a room and find Mary and Evan sitting down with a man with light blue hair and a fine blue tunic.

“Ah hello my loyal subjects I am so sorry our meeting is caused by suffering on your half. I have heard most of the story from Lady Mary and Prince Evan, but I hear we have more some evidence”, he says turning toward you with a cup of tea in his hand

You quickly present the knife and its sheath to him. He takes it gently from your hands and examines the knife and the sheath.

“Ah yes if I had to guess I would say that this was most likely made in Tyrian, the capitol of the province of Dravian. It has all the makings of one of their finer blades, much like yours my good prince. Though that only makes it stranger that a bandit was possessing such a knife. Even if they robbed the owner anyone who has such a knife or event he funds to buy should not have any issue with bandits”, he says handing the knife back to you.

“Do you think it was the rebellion”, asks Evan who apparently is a Prince.

“I can’t say for certain now, but I would say it is a high possibility. It depends on what we find at river. Anyways”, he says looking at the five of you, “I have a proposition for you become knights under my service. I have heard from the young Prince how capable you are and I wish to have you in me service”.

At this Evan stands up, “I also have an offer for you. I to would like to have you in my service. You see I have been tasked by my father to find out more information on the rebellion and I could use capable people such as you all on my side so what do you all say”.

The two of them stare at the five of you. Each hopeful that you will join them.

The five of you walk away from the circle and walk over to the two figures each offering a monumental offer. One by one you each walk over to the man that you choose to follow with Cornelius and Chris walking over to Lord Maximillian who gives them a bright smile and leads them out of the room. While you, Jonathan, and Lisa go over to the Prince.

“Thank you for joining me”, says with a huge grin on his face, “From now one you will report to me, though you will be allowed a great deal of freedom in how you do your work. We will set out tomorrow to examine the river and check out local villages. So you will have a chance to see your families tomorrow”. With that he leads you out down the room and up the stairs into some rooms.

“Lord Maximillian has given us this entire hall for the night”, he says stopping at a door, “So sleep while you can. We have a lot of work to do tomorrow”. With this he enters his room.

You enter yours and see that there is a
sectioned of area for bathing, a luxury that you don’t always have. You quickly get into the tub and scrub yourself off before putting on the clothes that were placed on the bed. It's probably best to start a new thread, yeah. As far as twitter goes, it's up to you. It's not as necessary for quests that update regularly like this one, which has been daily so far. I'd say if you need to take some days off for work/school/whatever then twitter is a good choice.
I know jack shit about discord.
