And so the fire faded. Lords of cinder, valiant knights and other brave souls all lost to the age of dark. The cycle has ended.

Yet..

I can feel them ; the mighty vessels of brilliant flame clutching to old glory:

Mithrim , the whole shard. He is the vessel of the dark flame. The dark flame of man.

The Holy dreams of Livendagen . They are the vessel of the sacred flame, the flame of gods

Holy Knight Lukus , She is vessel the white flame. the holy flame of man.

Loaane, the unsavory beast . It is the vessel of the wild flame, the uncontrolled flame of beasts

The charred failures . The forgotten offspring of the witches of Izalith. The Vessel for the chaos flame.

And you, Vessel of Ash, You shall embrace these flames to start anew....to start a new age of fire.

Fair vessel of Ash, rise from your naught. Begin anew. Save us from the shackles of the dark age....

Flesh and bones surrounded your fragile soul. Warmth and comfort radiated from your true soul. Yet , Your new body was cold; your heart didn't beat. No... you didn't belong to the plane of man. you were something else....

"Rise from your naught, Vessel of ashes. Rise and aid us in our blight" these words resonated in your soul. you were surrounded by an endless sea of long forgotten ash untampered in ages. A corpse slept next to you. You felt some sort of familiarity with it; It held weapons and armour just for you....

An ash riddled club was by its side. You grabbed said weapon, it was crude and battered but it would serve you well; brute force solved a lot of problems in the past. You almost failed to notice a crackled plank shield strapped on its back, by the looks of it, it was liable to break at any moment but it was better than an empty hand.

You found a pile of Emberless Ash next to you, should you die. You will be reborn at this spot.... without your belongings of course.

"Transverse The Ashen end, Vessel of Ash, unbind me from my shackles and i shall serve you and you only." said words resonated in your head.

___________ Ashen End ____________

Seas of endless ash surrounded you, there was no sun to govern these forsaken lands; only the occasional gust and the distant cries of young and old hollows praying to be granted an eternal rest.

As you headed west, you found a trio of hollows pinned to the ground via a menacing great arrow. You gained:

x3 souls of a lost undead (100 each)

From the daunting hills, a great arrow was loosened, it struck the ground ahead of you. The greatarrow was like the previous ones you encountered. it made out of bones which oozed a sliver like substance. You head a rambling of an old man guarding an abandoned village, it echoed in the sunless skies.

"Turn back! Bringer of warmth, bringer of sorrow! you reign is over. the lords, the knights...eve..." he paused inspecting you with his stern eyes.

His skin was ashen like as his unkempt beard. Three great arrows were strapped on his back. He possessed great strength to carry and dispatch them despite his frail body.

"A woman was born from the ashes, she...she murdered everyone i hold dear. I killed her over and over again...until..." he started to weep.

"It doesn't matter now, once we are all united. I will earn my rest. Come now, my son. Your family awaits you!"

"Now, Let us rest my son. The Man from the Black Marshes shall bring your sister's soul soon." the old man rested on a wooden chair with lots of great arrows littered around him. Eventually, the old man succumbed to a deep sleep.

You rummaged through the rubble. You didn't find anything useful against fire. However, you did find an old Bottomless Box

>Bottomless Box
This old box has no depth, Use it to safekeep your belongings even after death

From the top of the hill, You found yourself over-viewing a fight to the death.

A man in primitive garb decorated with teeth, ears and other body parts. He wielded a bloody axe in one hand while the other was charred in his flames.

A woman, in a blue gentle robe. she hid her face under her hood. She had a measly dagger and a white staff made of wood. Both were fighting over a small chest next to them. This commotion attracted a large stray dog who was waiting to gnaw the wounded victor.

You descended down the hill as quickly as possible. This drew the attention of the stray dog. It barked as a response to this new threat.

The pyromancer lost his attention for a mere second after the bark. It was his last mistake....

The Sorcerer cleaved his head in one clean swipe of her flash greatsword... a dangerous spell indeed. She lied down on the ground watching you and the stray dog.

You shook your head "Shame, I will stay here then...perhaps, I will try my luck in Ioa's sea but not today." . She noticed you eyeing the souls littered around "Feel free to strengthen your soul. I care only for my father and my sister...."

After looting everything but the father's corpse and weapons, You got:

A young man was kneeling on the ground, his attire was bloodied . Looks like he was praying to his gods. He held a chime in his left hand and a mace in his other. Despite his young age, most of his hair turned white. a corpse lied next to him, a woman wearing the exact attire of his.

Alas, a ruined structure lied in the horizon. However, said ruins were surrounded by various hollows, chained together via their feeble necks forming a pitiful excuse for an obstacle.

One last thing, if you are new to this souls quest. I suggest you not to read my original one so you won't spoil yourself. there were a lot of different outcomes in this thread compared the original one.

That and it is a matter of intrest.

You stood on a top of a hill watching the slumbering beast. A lone figure was approaching you. He was a slim man who obscured his face under a silver mask with lots of engravings. He wore a silver robe of the same fashion and a black gauntlet with sharp talons for fingers. There was this strange aura around him....

"What do you have here?" his voice was somewhat sinister "Heavens, you will out breed us by this rate, children of Ash "

He saw the hostility in your eyes "There is no need to fret. I am Silverarm Regras. I noticed your slight predicament. Perhaps, you might need some assistance..."

Silverarm grinned as he was handling you a red eye orb "Do take it, child of Ash. Be it undead, hollow, unkindled....everyone lusts for souls. what better way to harvest these souls than to rip it out of your brethren?"

You now have the option to invade whenever you want, Just type -Invade- and it shall be done. No souls or equipment shall be lost upon defeat in other worlds.

you carefully made your way to the ruins where a towering figure stood alone in the middle of the courtyard. A giant of a man, Like his Watchdog, he was chained to the ruins itself. its arm were cut off and his legs were badly injured, A bloodied whistle was sewn to his lips. his voice was getting sore from endless whistles, it was more of a croaked wheeze by now. He was guarding the only entrance to the ruins.

>Fight Yhar, the handler

or maybe if we killed him we could take the whistle? either way though, i say we leave, and like you said, head west
>>
You kept heading west, You found a large fleshy snake coiling itself around some sort of an entrance . Corpses littered the scene.

The snake had no eyes, only a gaping maw and countless oozing wounds on its sides, the ground turned red from said wounds.

A woman with flaxen red hair and a creamy skin sat on a small rock over viewing this monstrosity. She wore a pesudo-chain mail around brimmed with coins of various shapes, sizes and origins. She had an eastern spear with a red fuzzy fluff ball near the tip, she had a smaller version of a katana near her hips. You weren't aware of its true nomenclature of course.

"Soh Mikay!" you interpreted this as some form of greetings. She raised a small cup to the air when you arrived. She seemed to be a bit drunk; she had a butterfly blush over her face.

"Good to see a fellow man in these lands! I am Lishro. What a lovely day to be alive! come, let us drink... to drown our sorrows with merry and joy!"

You sat down with the eastern warrior. The drink was cold at first but it soon warmed you from inside. Lishro laughed when she saw you sweating heavily.

"I am looking for someone, friend. Honorable Giznru....my...friend. He departed our home long ago to seek fame and fortunate. He wore a brilliant armour made from red scales. I am certain that he is still lurking in these lands. Have you seen such a man?"

Lishro took some time to form a reply "they call this place the Ashen End. It might be due to the Abyss surrounding the land...you have seen it, haven't you?"

When you told her about the watchdog, she was perturbed "Dogs are gentle , royal creatures. It pains me to end one's life....Lead the way..."

The two of you went back to the slumbering watch dog. You planned your next move ....

>Throw your fire bomb at it [14-20]

This time, the whistle had no effect. The watchdog was too hotheaded to oblige to the soothing whistle, it opened its gaping maw, ready to gnaw you both.

Lishro was quick on her feet; her shinning armour was dazzling and confusing to the lumbering beast. She would switch between her blades and spear as needed in the fight.

One wrong move was made, Lishro found herself were inches away from a myriad of sharp teeth pinned by its mighty paws. The watchdog dog paid little attention to you, Perhaps it was time to show the watchdog its grave mistake....

>Throw your savage axe at one of its eyes [15-20]

You threw another firebomb, as expected, it didn't do much but it attracted the attention of the Watchdog. it lunged at you with the sole purpose of gnawing your upper half.

Lishro grasped this chance and , She slashed one of its hindlegs afterwards.

The beast lost its balance, it tumbled on the ground. The eastern warrior gave it no rest or pity; she punctured its chest numerous times with her spear.

The Watchdog was mere moments away of death. It wheezed in agony.

+5000 souls

Lishro didn't want its soul and so you took it.

>Twisted soul of a Watchdog

A malicious soul of a great being, consume it to gain souls. Or perhaps....

Long ago,A simple man and his dog were among many to guard a beautiful sanctuary. When the drums of war echoed in this forgotten kingdom, The sanctuary was turned into a prison, a dungeon for the good and the wicked alike.

Yhar was granted a terrible curse by one of the prisoners which led to the current state of the sanctuary. He and his dog were bound to this place till the end of times.

Caution is a must; for there is still a handful of prisoners in the sanctuary.

Lishro sat down with you pouring more of her drinks "Sol Mikal! What an admirable show, friend! For a second i thought i was done for! To your health and fortune!"

Together, you drank. Lishro drank too much though. Soon, she delved into a well deserved sleep.

A scrawny little man was slowly watching you and Lishro from afar. When he felt comfortable, he approached you, he had various scales sprouting over his skin, he hid his uneven face behind a strange wooden mask. A small sack was snitched to his back and a crude dagger replaced his left hand.

"Greetings great vessel, I am kesp the bastard. You might have escaped death today but you will die over and over again. there is no doubt about it . Say, how will you fare against this harsh world with naught but your bare hands? let this troubles you no more! For my kin are known to be excellent scavengers."

He paused, giving little attention to your face; his eyes were pinned to your feet " For a measly fee, i can offer my help to bring whatever your corpse held. now, what says you?"

The bastard soon vanished but you could still hear him walking away.

The eastern warrior looked at the horizon "I suppose this is the time we part our ways; Honorable Giznru is yet to be found...."

She pulled off a coin from her armour and gave it to you "May fortune and glory stand by your side, friend!"

You entered the ruins with your axe and club. The handler didn't pay much attention to you, he was still whistling.

Although, he spent most of his days here on his knees. you couldn't even reach the end of his belly. When he grew desperate, the handler stood up.

"MMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!MMMMMMMMRAAGH!!!!"

The death of his beloved Watchdog triggered a tempest of pure rage. His sewn mouth was wide opened in a burst of old blood. he started to pull out the chains binding him only to flail it at your direction. One stomp of his might end you in a blink

Rubble greeted you at every corner. You had a sense of uneasiness while walking into empty hallways....gnawed bones, dried blood and ash riddled corpses didn't help either.

You heard something resonating in your soul "Closer, vessel of Ash, closer...." you found yourself at a lonely cell with a wrapped corpse, its left hand was extended in the air with a shiny silver ring around the second finger. You somehow wanted to land a gentle kiss on the rotten hand.

Her lips, her body language, her eyes.... all spoke of affection towards you.

You nodded in agreement, before descending further in the sanctuary. The firekeeper unlocked a small door at the end of the hallway via a simple touch. Warmth radiated from the large hall.

"As i live and dream!" the firekeeper cried over the sight of an actual bonfire .She collapsed from joy.
