Summary of the story (outdated) http://pastebin.com/5vNphiNS
Twitter: https://twitter.com/Stark1st

Last time we took some time off in the demon lands of Wa and hung out with your girlfriends before going to once again confront Mother. You were feeling emotionally conflicted and angered by Mother's behavior and refusal to understand you strangled her. After killing her you decided to bring the rest of the stolen children to the harpies for safe keeping. Once there you met with Queen Kanon immediately.
>>
“Yes Queen Kanon, I am sorry to ask this of you again, but we have managed to save the rest of the children and humbly ask that you allow them too to stay for a time.” Kneeling in front of the harpy queen you make your plea. After recently killing the woman who kidnapped you, you felt oddly robotic in your movements, but perhaps this is just a new form of restlessness.

Queen Kanon after some time staring into space acknowledged your request and thankfully allowed it. It probably helped that there was maybe half of the kids than last time. Getting the queen’s blessing you returned outside and gave your friends the go ahead, though it appeared that the children were already rushing to meet the others in the village.

The children seem to have adapted well to the village life, some harpies even taking them “under-their-wing” so to say. And literally in some cases as you watched a harpy woman walking with maybe four young children beneath her. You sighed in relief that bringing all of them here turned out to be best. Melo was rushing about between your friends berating them with her usual ways, but at the moment you didn’t really care to join in the escapades. Finding a nice tree you slide down it with your back until you were sitting down to take a breath.

Finally taking a moment to rest you take a breath and go over the events one more time in your head. “Did I do the right thing?” you wondered.

You received a reply to your thoughts, “Of course you did.” The voice of your shadow sister came to you as she appeared next to you in the grass. She further asserted, “That broad kidnapped you and all these others after killing most their family. She deserved it.”

Sighing, you respond, “Yeah… you’re right.” But there was something that kept nagging you about all of that. Killing so far to you had been only in necessity, at least until then. She may have deserved to pay for what she did but she had helped you through your, admittedly, “forced journey.”

“I know what you are thinking Onee-chan, and there is no point in dwelling on it. She was bad and you killed her, simple as that. Who cares what the others might think, you did what you had to. Just like how you and I team up to take out those girls all the time. You only do it because you need to right? Although it is also fun.” She licks her lips before continuing, “Honestly you should learn to let things go.”

You didn’t quite know how to respond to your words so you opted to instead just let them sink in so you understood them fully. “You okay?” came another softer voice over your shoulder. It was Yuki, looking concerned. “You look absolutely awful.” she says as she kneels down with a handkerchief to try and clean the dirt off you. When she does you notice that Kagehana seems to have slipped herself back into your shadow.

Yuki huffs as she continues trying to tidy you up, “What are we going to do with you, looking that way when you go meet the queen!” Yuki switches out a rag after it became thoroughly stained with dirt and noting your silence took a more serious tone of voice, “You holding up okay?”

“Well enough.” you huff out, “I was just thinking about what happened and if I did the right thing.”

“That’s a hard question. I wasn’t there, there but she did hurt all of us.” now tidying your clothes, “I hated her more than anyone probably, she killed dad and drug us all here, but she did assist us, or at least you.” Yuki pauses for a minute and casts her eyes to the ground in thought before addressing you, “I would say that I am alright with what you did. She killed a lot of people, and would have kept doing so if she thought you would fail. Plus there is no way you wouldn’t kill her without feeling threatened, besides the obvious reasons for you to hate her.” Yuki smiles as she helps you stand to fix up the rest of your wardrobe, “Almost there.” Her hands move to straighten your shirt, pants and skirt. “I trust you. Killing her was your choice and as long as you know you did it for the right reasons. After all this place would swallow us all up if we did things for the wrong reasons.” Taking her hands off you she announces, “Annnndddd, perfect. There now you look presentable for a royal audience, but someone had to rush off..” She sighed, “If only auriel could sends us back for a proper redo.”

You couldn’t help but giggle a tad at Yuki’s actions, “Heh.” Her over the top love of all things fashion makes it seem that she equally concerned with appearances as she does about you. “Thanks Yuki,” you said smiling. “Tonight though would it be okay if I were alone just to sort everything out, especially after all this.”

She smiles but still shows a small amount of concern, “There’s my strong best friend, but if you need me or the others we’ll be right next to you”

You smile and nod, “Of course.”

Yuki soon walked off and you spend the majority of the rest of the day making sure the kids were getting situated, though Aki and the others seemed to have it under control.

The obvious choice that day was the stay in the village for the night. Not only would it be comfy but you also could keep an eye on the new kids and make sure nothing happens. Night fell faster than you were expecting it too and you found yourself lying on your bed for the evening staring out the window and the moon. Your mind drifted back to what both Yuki and Kagehana had to say to you today and just before closing your eyes you thought…

>Kagehana is right, I need to just let some things go, I don’t want things holding me back
>Yuki is right, I only do things for the right reasons and should think about these things carefully

You roll your body over and think about Yuki’s words. Kagehana was more practical but you felt that taking the time to understand and think through your actions was still needed in most all cases. Mother was perhaps an exception, at least for now.

Regardless your mind began drifting to sleep.

That was until you were rudely awakened by someone screaming. You jolt up out of bed faster than your mind could operate and it took a second to fully gain your bearings and recognize that the screaming that woke up wasn’t just a nightmare but very real and outside. Outside your window, you notice smoke rising into the air and that the screams were not just from one person but from multiple. Hurring, you rush to put on your equipment as quickly as you could before busting out of the room. Unfortunately, something else busted in.

You clumsily, and awkwardly, ready your weapon, wearing only half of your lower armor and confronted the intruder. “Woah-woah-woah there.” said the intruder in an intimidated voice, “The Queen just wanted me to find you, and after about 10 houses I think I have.” They squint and gets a better look at you. “Yup, that’s you.”

“Melo, what is going on?!” you ask the harpy while still frantically trying to dress yourself.

“Big trouble is what?! First, there was a lot of,” She tries to gruff her voice and make scary expressions, “oi oi oi oi waaaagghhh… and then there were lots of ‘get them gitz and wer is she’ Before we knew it a horde of goblins had invaded the village raiding, pillaging and stealing away some of the small ones you brought.”

You yell in surprise, “What?!” and hasten your equipment of your weapons. As the smell of burning wood and leaves hits your nostrils, you asked frantically “Do you know where everyone else is?!”

Mele began to answer your question, “Helping where they can I assume, Queen just sent me to warn you. But now we should…. Look out!” She yelled as she dove into you forcing both of you to the ground.
>>
>>964409

“What are you doing!” you yelled, but then soon noticed the axe stuck in the wall straight above you. Melo rolls off you as fast as she could and helps you to your feet.

“You okay?” She asked, but she did not notice the bloodthirsty goblin with a dagger drawn rushing in after her.

“Look out!” You pulled Melo past you and reached out as fast as you could, far faster than a half awake body should, managing to grabbed the goblin's arm as he was about to stab Melo and with your sword in a reverse grip stab the little demon through the throat.

Your body beginning to fully register what is happening your breathing hastens as you look around, tossing the dead assailant outside the small home. After making sure no one else was outside you asked the harpy next to you, “Are you alright.”

She responds weakly with a “Yeah..” shaking slightly as she no doubt is thinking of what may have happened had you not been fast enough. For the moment though you were safe. Melo then asks with her still weak voice, “What do we do? The Queen told me to find you but after that… she didn’t say.”

Melo should…
>Come with you
>Get out of here
>Go back to the Queen

The MC should…
>Go help the human children, they just got out of perpetual prison and now they are under attack?!
>Go protect the Queen, if she dies the village might collapse
>Go and find your friends, you are concerned for them
>Quickly go and find the cause of this, if you can kill their leader then surely the raid will end
>>
>>964433

>Melo should...

>Go back to the Queen

>The MC should…

>Go and find your friends, you are concerned for them
>>
>>964610

Fully grasping your situation you grab Melo, “You head back to the Queen, I will do what I can here, okay?!”

She looks dumbstruck, “Lead out to ween?”

Augh. You shout, “Go to the Queen!”

Shaking from the force of your yell she grasps her bearings and nods, “Oh gotcha! Then I will be heading out!” she announced in an official voice with matching posture. She began to march out of the room, and into the open door.

Both concerned and annoyed you said plainly, “Melo please just head back to the Queen and make sure she is okay.”

“Roger roger” she salutes and clumsily flies off at surprisingly high speeds. You were a bit concerned for her due to her intellect but people like her managed to be luckier than most.

With Melo gone you scope out your immediate surroundings while getting your armor and weapons situated for the better. It took a bit of elbow grease and breathing techniques to calm yourself down while getting fully battle dressed. For a moment you cursed Wilhelms craftsmanship, as it was indeed fine arms and armor, but the outfit itself was a mess to put on properly. Far too many belts for your tastes. After Finally getting outfitted you prepared to head out.

Immediately around you were handfuls of goblins battling the city guard and the screaming of children could be here amongst the demonic battle cry of the goblins. These cries concerned you, but so did your friends who were still nowhere to be found. You opted to search for them before anything else. After all, if you were able to meet up you could more cohesively decide how to effectively fend off the attackers. You begin a light jog toward the human children part of town, for you knew for sure at least one of your friends would be over there.

There were many goblins running too and fro near the district. Most shouting incoherent babble and yells while others were attempting to break into homes. A group notices you casually running by, raise their weapons in the air and charge at you. Five versus one were never favorable odds, but you were on a mission to find your friends and nothing would stop you. Tightening your grip on your sword and your breaker you charge in and meet them head on.

Facing the goblins in a mad charge you met with equal killing intent, but yours was far more refined and calculating. Using your advantage of height and speed you dash around the charge slicing the head off the first attacker. Without losing momentum you twist and slice the torso of another attacker, finishing up with using your breaker as a bludgeon to hammer one into the dirt. Mindless attacking goblins are hardly a challenge for you, especially your multiple close encounters with death. Seeing their fellow raiders cut down had made them surprisingly lucid as their instincts now told them to run rather than fight.

You made sure the bandits were off before continuing your mission to find your compatriots. Dashing through the district you soon heard a familiar a jovial laugh as you saw three goblins fly through the sky and out of the village.

“C’mon more, more!”
“Calm down brute, there is plenty”
“Guys we should really be looking after the children here”

“Guys!” you called out to Victoria, Anna, and Yuki who seemed to have been working together. Yuki was busy trying to make sure the nearby children were alright while Anna and Victoria took pleasure in dispatching the simple minded attackers. “Haha, come at me you fucks.” Well, maybe Victoria more than Anna.

Quickly they noticed you and after Yuki tended to a child she quickly ran and hugged you, “Ohh thank god you are safe.”

You return the hug, “You too, Do you know where the others are?”

Yuki nodded, “Aki, Rozalin, and Taka are moving as fast as they can to help the children. Nessera and Serena are scouting for the leader and are picking off outlying raiders, while we were busy here moving slower and taking out the main body of the force. But do you know why any of this happened? It was all so sudden.”

“No, and I think the only one who will be the leader, we should find him.” The guards were looking out for the townspeople and queen, the faster members of your group were tending to the children, and the imps were taking care of the perimeter.

Protecting the children here would no doubt be more effective if the four of you assisted, but at the same time, the leader might die without your knowledge or worse escape. They may be able to lead you to the reasoning behind this attack. Though based on the use of goblins and their crazed screams and vocal inflections you already had an idea of who might be behind this.

For a moment you wonder why Victoria is still a human if she acts so much Oni like. Then decide that's not important and order your friends to defend the children. Globins are idiots and their leader itself will come after you if this lasts too long.

As much as you want to beat up the one responsible for this you feel that you should try and help the recently freed children above all else. Plus this way you get to meet up with most of the rest of your friends, which wasn’t a bad bonus in the ensuing chaos.

“Let's help the children like you all have been, and meet up with Aki and the others if when we can.”

Victoria seems all too happy to oblige, using her telekinesis to throw goblins into other goblins, laughing all the while. You really are wondering if this place changes people why she has yet to transform into something of a brutish Oni, but that isn’t important right now. Now it was protecting the kids.

Regrouping you ask Kagehana internally, “These goblins’ heads will explode if they betray their master, can you trick the curse they have into activating somehow? You are a shadow demon so I thought perhaps you might be able to do it.”

“Hmmm… sounds fun, I love it when you are creative like this.” The shadow demon snickered, “I don’t know how fast I can do it with the power I have at the moment, but I think I can help.”

“Good, do it.”

“Aye aye, Onee-chan.”

As you said that a goblin attempted to sneak up on you but this head quickly burst like a mallet smashing a watermelon. It was surely a harrowing sight if you had not known the source of the explosion, but you have grown numb to such displays regardless.

With your friends reformed you all do your best to sweep the area.

Although at times a little dicey with your combined efforts you were effective enough to fend off forces many times that of your current group while also saving children, though it was impossible to know just how many were taken and saved. Unsurprisingly Victoria excelled in your dealings tossing spears left and right and leaving a trail of dead, or soon to be goblins. Anna worked with her to continue the offensive while you and Yuki teamed up in helping the kids. Every Now and then a stray goblin would attack but have its head quickly blown off.

Thinking about the prospect of taking a prisoner it would be preferable, even if he won't say anything explicitly at least you know some people like Yaga who may help with interrogations.

As you worked your way through the village of fire you came to an angering sight. Aki, Rozalin, and Taka were holding off a mass of goblins from reaching 10s of children by themselves. Rozalin's ample armor and, assets helped but the goblins elected to make Aki their focus and she was being attacked voraciously. You also notice that Taka is actually unconscious on top of Rozalin and as you get closer you feel a pain in your skull.

Not taking the time to question the matter you run at the battle.

Charging in you felt your emotions blaze at the sight of your friends, especially Aki in such danger. The hand holding your sword began to blaze black flames, radiating dark energies. You hadn’t used your death magic skills in quite some time, but for some reason, it flared with your rage. Anything hit by the blade began rotting as the residual wounds would almost literally eat away at your foes. With speed and anger, you cut down any goblin who dared approach you or attempt to hurt Aki, easily killing 10 goblins in the process.

Victoria’s signature throwing skills were on full display with countless javelins sticking through her victims. Anna unfortunately was eager to keep up with Victoria’s assault but got too ahead of herself and actually got tangled up in a group of goblins who began to beat her. But thankfully they were slowly exploding around her thanks to Kagehaha who has gotten faster at tripping the curse’s failsafe. Yuki fired arrows when she could tagging outliers, but she focused more on assisting the nearby children.

Rozalin recognizing the support gained a second wind, flourished her sword and in a switch motion twirled and knocked to the ground the goblins surrounding her to make easy targets for Victoria who had taken the opportunity to pounce and pummel the unfortunate souls into the ground, smiling all the while.

Your sudden resounding success and your literal aura of dread convinced the few remaining goblins that it would be in their best interest to run. Once they were out of sight you took a deep breath as the black flames left your blade and you knelt to help your girlfriend, “Aki are you okay?” you said between breaths.

She coughed before taking your offered hand and answering, “Well as I could be, how are the children?” She turns to find that the kids, although terrified, were intact. Sighing she relaxes as you two notice Yuki bringing the other children you helped to the group for protection. Ash, soot, and fear covered their faces, but at the very least they were alive and safe.
>>
>>968070

The more you and your friends looked around it seemed that the goblins in this district quit the field. As such, your new task became the safeguarding of your now impromptu base of children when running rescue missions. Yuki, Aki, Taka, and Anna, Victoria had to stay to defend due to the amount of injured, leaving you and Rozalin to make missions.

“You looked so cool right then dear, why if we weren’t in a battle of life and death I would take you and-”
You kick her sides with your legs, “eyes forward.”
“Ouchy,” she said playfully and continued on as requested.

You and her were able to run and grab any children you could find while also making drive-by attacks on fleeing goblins. Over the course of your fast-paced missions you barely got any rest, but slowly you saw the sun begin to rise and the noise in the village died down. Fires were put out and soon you saw the guardsmen of the village, picking each other up as they slowly assess the damage.

Seeing that the worst has past and the guards slowly restoring order you and Rozalin both agreed to take a moment's rest. Tired you slouch over for a few moments, until a small voice came directly into your ear, “They are leaving you know.”

“AH!” You jumped in surprise at the noise and quickly raised your weapons. On the other end of your blade however, was Nessera. Ignoring your reaction she continued with her report, in her usual unamused voice, “They are fleeing into the accursed lands from the looks of it, and from what I could tell it seems their leader was that odd goblin with the scar across his chest. They are running with incredible speed for people of their height and they had a small group of human kids with them.”

She continues, “I suggest we give chase, they could easily lead us back to their base where we can end the threat. Though we must leave quickly, if not post haste.”

It had been a long night, but Nessera did have a point.

“No Nessera, what is most important now is securing oursevles here.”
“But they are getting away!”
“And if we give chase the way we are now, half asleep and bruised it will accomplish nothing. Not to mention this may all be a trap by that Master guy. If we are going to go fight them Neserra then we are going to need to regroup and attack with a large force. A much larger force…”

You think for a second about what you said. Could getting an alliance from all the races actually workout against the Master? They certainly do owe you favors for all the things you did for them and sure some of them like the scorpions, centaurs, and mermaids… well, the issue of mermaids and water maybe become apparent.

However, there were still those other factions that were rather hard to get along with. The dark elves in the south for one, plus the siren slavers in the eversong might still be a problem. Augh, thinking about this was proving more annoying than anything in your current state. Theoretically thought it should all be possible. But they would be under you, right? Would that make you Queen? I don’t know…. And we would need a base of sorts. Mother’s castle then? It's defensible and such but you would need to do something about the remaining vampires, and…. Aaahhhh. It’s just a bit too much for something all at once. You figure it probably a safer bet to talk about this with everyone before making any decisions.

It was at this moment and by the shocked and confused expressions on the faces of Nessera and Rozalin that you realized you had been saying almost everything you had been thinking. Embarrassed you stumbled and jumped of Rozalin in a panic, “So let's help the village out yeah?” Speeding off before you get a reply and relying on the few amount of fumes to run your body you start assisting the guards and villagers in recuperation.
>>
>>968283

Yuki got set up at healing duty along with the village healers, but she grew tired quickly, working herself ragged all throughout the night and now morning. She never complained once, but her body opted to give out and she had to stop after patching up one of the hundred villagers she had already seen. Needing rest she joined Taka in sleep while Anna, Victoria, and Neserra watched over them. Rozalin and Aki were surprisingly still helping out, though Aki surprise, surprise, was spending all of her time tending to the children as best she could, despite her injuries. The kids never stopped and neither did she, so to help her out you had Rozalin work as her partner, to at least relieve some of the pressure from her.

Taking another moment underneath a tree you sigh, thinking about the day. For the first morning of rebuilding, you would say it was as good as could be expected. Still, you had a lot of things running through your mind and on top of all that you had to go visit the Queen about all this mess. She also might provide some helpful advice should you decide on forming your alliance against the Master in the north. You tried to pick yourself up to head to your meeting but you felt yourself grow weak and your eyelids grew heavy, far heavier than usual. You forced yourself to keep awake but the more you forced the heavier you felt. You curse under your breath, “Dammit, why does this always happen…” as you try to use the tree as a crutch to stand. But after getting a foot planted strength leaves your arm and you slip down to the trunk to the ground. Losing conscious shortly after.

For Baba Yaga's ritual to transform someone into another species, can she do it several times to a person?

I guess a coldown time must be involved, probably at least a year.
>>
>>969132
I wonder if there's a way to make the transformation unchangeable permanently
>>
>>968374
Theoretically yes, but it may result in some... unexpected results

>>969132
The cooldown is really dependent on Yaga, she needs the proper ingredients for each individual change and it takes a large amount of magic to perform.

>>969140
If I understand right, then you just have to transform once and not attempt another one. Again attempting multiple transformations may have interesting results.

MC weird fantasies:

Kagehana becoming a shadow wolf girl, aka an evolved shadow demon with a wolf theme.

Anna blue oni, Victoria red Oni. Maybe little demon sister knows a way those two can become demons?

Become a Kitsune... after the Master of the badlands is dealt with.

Yuki becoming a Yuki Onna.

Adrian becoming a cute monkey monster girl.

Mother being revived somehow as Elena and becoming her little sister.

Destroy/Control/Hide the Shadow Orb and the Sun Orb.

Go to see how the guy turned cute centauress maid is doing and make sure she is acting like a proper maid/sex slave to the centaur princess.

Remember that her name is Maggie Carter, hence MC

Be the misterious Kitsune know as Mika some more.

Have Yuki and Aki accept the MC occasionally sleeping around... and them joining in the fun.

Get Aki into super resistant restrains and tame her.

Make Yuki more accepting of MC monster girl mentality.

Give Kagehana either her own body or make her shadow body real enough so she can have sex, not with the MC but with others.

Get Rozalin a girlfriend who isn't the MC.

Get the dragon lord of Wa pregnant with a baby?

Get Nessera and Serena a paid vacation.

Become a kitsune Taka would take as a role model.

Key item: Mother's doll, you keep it as a reminder of the fact you don't always get things to work

Orgy, excluding her little sisters and the imp girl.

Silence and darkness are what surrounded you in what you assumed was your inner plane. You had developed a tendency of falling unconscious after long or arduous fights but you were always greeted in these unscheduled naps by a rather judgemental voice. This time it was silent in your mind. Though you oddly found yourself once again at the quaint cafe table, a glass of fresh wine sitting on the table, waiting for a guest and drinker that would never come.

You found yourself oddly feeling a little lonely without the company but soon a voice responded to your feelings, “You know, now that the evil woman is gone it's just you and me in here Onee-chan.” Kagehana appeared in a pool of light shadow that moved like steam along the table. Once materialized the shadow demon playfully sips on the sitting glass of wine. After a quick taste, she recoils in disgust, “Such swil! truly she had no taste.”

“What’s going on Kagehana?”

“Hm?” She sets the drink to the side, “I saw you here Onee-chan and since she’s gone I figured I should keep you company. Do you want to talk about your feelings, recent events, or your friends? At least that is what you did with the other one.”

“You were listening?!”

“It’s not like I had a choice, I live here you know.”

She had a point. “Regardless of that it doesn’t matter now I suppose. Instead…” thinking about Mother had you reminiscing to just how that mental connection with her formed, with her casting a spell on your mind. “Let’s dig a little deeper in here together, Mother did something to me before you showed up which allowed her to talk to me like she used to, it's probably best to take a look incase there is something waiting for me.”

“Ohh sounds fun!” The shadow sloshes on the table, forming once again into mist before engulfing you, sending back into a meditative-like state which you felt slip farther and farther into your subconscious. “Found something.” Your shadow announced as after a short time you and Kagehana come to bright shining like in the darkness.

You asked yourself while reaching toward the light, “What is it?”

Touching the light you hear a voice, “This is? The mortal plan will fall!” it was soft and elegant but gave you a tinge of dread, “Mother?!” The voice continued, “No… if the mortal plane falls then so, might the rest… damnit. Why the hell did Aleister keep this a secret from me! No matter, we will just have to fix this, but how… a vampiric invasion wouldn’t work. Aleister already tried hundreds of years ago and Tepes and Bathory became persecuted by this ‘Church’.”

What is this? “If going over doesn’t work then let's bring them here and then send them back, but making them vampires won’t cut it. This planes humanity only persecutes those different from themselves, we need a human and they need to stay human…. Aleister was too trusting in his choices, instead, we shall steal and see how they react….”

“I found a child with promise, she already leads a troop of her fellows and defied me only hours after capture, perhaps she will be strong enough to stop this calamity… but if only we know what the hell it was! Will it be like their ‘holy’ texts say? A rider appearing on a white horse, ushering in armageddon and the end of days? Or perhaps a more natural desaster… I must continue to have my researchers look into this.”

“Darling progresses nicely, and rapidly. Already she has gathered a sizeble amount of companions and favors. Sending her back is likely our best bet, but she still needs to learn much more. Meanwhile, the gate has been malfunctioning, and communication with the other plane has been silenced. Instead, I shall turn my efforts of research to the other player in this game on the astral plane, the no named man of the accursed lands…”
>>
>>970448

“That man or the master as he is sometimes called commands a sizable force and is ruthless, but for what purpose? He doesn’t attempt to conquer or to simply destroy all around him. He calculates and plans but he never expands. Could he have something to do with this? All the while the little one has been gaining more and more power as they travel the land, assisting the other species, making it seems like these two forces will clash if this keeps up.”

“I have reached out to the man in the north but he has not returned my summons, opting instead to send little and bumbling idiots as emissaries. He insults me and all I am doing for the planes! Damnit, I am going to have to attend a personal audience wit him to find out what he knows. The fact that he answered my messages at all means he at least acknowledges me. Perhaps if we meet in person he may reveal more about himself and if he has any connection to the destruction of the planes. From what I can tell there is far more to him than a twisted and manipulative ruler in of demon forces, and the only way to know is to get closer, even if it means leaving the castle.

“But that will have to wait, darling is progressing with incredible speed and it seems her and her companions are coming back from their successful stay on the island. Even managing to establish a seemingly active governance system. I will have to leave tomorrow, darling has seem confused recently and probably wants to talk once more. Ahh, I hear them at the gate now...”

The voice cuts off and only silence hangs in the air. “W-What was that…” was all you could say in astonishment, retreating your hand to your side.

Intrigued, Kagehana gives her analysis, “Hmmm, if I were to say I would guess some fragmented memory of sort, I am no mage but that much I could take away. Perhaps she needed to plant something in you for your mental connections. Some part of her, and in this case her memories. But of course, they mean little now and they are only sticking around because your mana is subconsciously sustaining the spell.”

Kagehana continues, “This was all I was able to find besides your own memories that had Mother involved. A little spooky isn't it.”

“Yeah…” you had already had conflicting memories but now this was for sure someone else's memories in your head. It was jarring, to say the least.”

>There may be something we can do with these, I’ll keep them before heading back to reality

You give it some thought. “You know there might be something to do with these memory fragments. I’ll keep them for now.” But her soul isn’t here or anything right?”

“Definitely not, if that were the case then I would be able to sense it immediately. Plus she would have likely said ‘hi’ by now.”

“Good to know.” Now you decide it was time to properly thank Kagehana for all her help. You give her a gentle hug. For a time you have been suppressed, but now some of your devious intentions seem to be letting through as you gained a sly smile, “I have an idea Kagehana… how do you feel about hooking up with Rozalin or one of the other girls?”

“Mmmmhmm” she licks her lips, “It’s in my nature to agree, but why ask that now when we are here and all alone…” A tendril of her’s pulls you in. That went from zero to 100 real fast but you back peddled, “No no, I meant long term hook up so I don’t count.”

Your shadow sister looked disappointed and pouted, “aww hell. It doesn’t matter to me Onee-chan, I can only exist outside as long as I am tied to you for now anyways. I am getting stronger but not strong enough.”

“Fine, how about the planes any idea how those work?”

“Not a clue, other than you are from one and I am from another. Francy at the moment that is all I know or care to know about them.”

So much for serious conversation. Your grin slightly returns, “Also how do you feel about wolves?” She looks confused, “I keep seeing you as a shadow wolf girl for some reason or another.”

“Well good on you for having such an active imagination but I would like to stay myself.” She touted. “And wolves are fine I suppose, I did kill a number of them so I don’t think they are tough or anything.”

Poor sport, but it seems after denying her a go at you, she was acting rather childish about everything and you doubt you’ll get much more out of her.

“Alright then thanks, Kagehana, but we should get up about now.”

Your shadow nods and fades away as you are once again surrounded by darkness, but soon you awaken to the waking world once more.

Your eyes slowly open to the image of an increasingly orange sky from under a tree. It seems you were lucky enough to fall asleep for only a short time and wake up under the same tree. Yawning you stretch, making sure all your limbs operate how they normally do. Good as usual.

As you begin to stand you hear a young voice near you, “Ahh Hero!” a young man carrying various metals rushes over to you. “Hero, are you alright were you hurt at all during the attack.” Still rubbing your eyes open you are finally able to focus your vision and see that the young voice belonged to Wilhelm the famous town smith who created your custom arms and armor.

“Wilhelm. I am fine but it is good to see you are alright after the attack, the villages defenses would be poorly equipped if not for you.”

“Haha, please Hero, I am but a humble craftsman, and right now I am far more concerned with the rebuilding of the village. That is why I am collecting all this scrap. I can convert it into building material if cooked at the right temperature.” The master smith gazes at your torso, “Heavens look at such disrepair!” he shouted in shock. “I am busy at the moment but before you go you simply must stop by for a touch up on your weapons and armor. I understand that fights will, of course, wear the material but I will be damned if my masterpieces are not kept up to snuff… oh, that can wait, come see me later, hero.” slightly panicked he made his way back to his smithery. You know the young man meant well with his assistance in village repairs but his pride as a smith couldn’t let him not acknowledge your state. And why not? Wilhelm was a talented smith and he should take pride in his works.

Once he leaves you to dust yourself off as best you can and head to meet with the queen, slightly later than previously intended.

The Queen’s tree looked rather damaged but its interiors looked incredibly well kept, the guards must take their jobs seriously or their competency is incredible as Queen Kanon looked completely untouched, Although her aid looked to be in worse shape. Favoring her left wing Melo hopped across the room where she leaned on the Queen’s perch.
>>
>>970862

“Melo! My word what happened?”

“You know, it was weird, first I came back to the tree and decided I could at least try and swing at them on my way to get to the Queen. I swoop down and everything and I figured I had them. After all, people say swooping is bad. And it was bad for one of them, but there were much more, and one of them shot me with one of those crossbows. Ahh.” She shifted her injured wing to a better resting position against her side, to prevent putting pressure on the perch. “Though, I got a little worried when the medic said it was a non-fractal injury." Non-fractal? what the hell was that? Melo continued, "I thought I was doomed, I mean I don’t know math and who the hell knows what a fraction is? Turns out she said ‘non-fatal’ which was much better news.”

“Indeed,” the queen interjected, “You panicked and attempted to do simple math to the medic who you only made more confused.” heh, damn, it was hard not to smile at the thought of a harpy pleading to a doctor by doing addition or subtraction problems.

“But you are here for another reason.” The queen once again said, “Your group of human children fro my understanding are mostly accounted for.” The queen lowers her head, “I am sorry to hear about the small number that were captured...:”

“I am too, but there was no way of expecting such a random attack and I believe we performed to the best of our abilities.”

“I wish to think that as well. Searches and the reconstruction have started and I would ask that you all stay at least for a short time and aid in the efforts. I know that this is ultimately a selfish request, but without fear of a second attack and additional raid on the humans here we would feel far more at ease with the Hero in our camp.

>Agree, that is reasonable
>Decline, you have things to do
>Agree and pitch your alliance Idea to the queen and get her advice
>Decline and demand the Queen’s submission to your alliance, broken like this it may be the best opportunity to get them to follow you. (this option will require a vocal impute with reasoning, I will award a bonus based on the strength of it. No matter what though this will be a difficult roll)

"Okay I will stay and help. Say... how do you feel about an alliance with other races to combat problems like this? Kneeling you place your hand over your heart, “Very well your majesty, we shall agree to stay for a time and aid the reconstruction effort of the village.”

The Queen looks relieved to hear your words, “Thank you, hero, I will see to it that your accommodations are not lacking and that you will have full access to the utilities of the town.”

“You are too kind.” You pause, “Your majesty, if I may…. “ Thinking about the attacks and your time unconscious, maybe now would be the best time to start your plans to combat the master and his evil force, “...I wish to ask you of what you may feel about forming an alliance of sorts with other like-minded races and peoples.”

The Queen looks surprised, “An alliance you say, to fight off those that attacked us?”

“So to say yes… I have strong reason to believe that the force that attacked us last night belong to the No-Named Man of the Accursed Lands, or ‘The Master’ as some call him. He is growing stronger and his forces have begun to reach out beyond his dark lands and have been invading the lower plains. He has too many assets at his disposal and we would do well teaming up with others he threatens.”

Queen Kanon looks intrigued, “Interesting… and how do you propose setting up this alliance?”

“I have personally made connections with leaders across the plane and will call upon them for assistance. Some of them have been burned by this man before and would join us objectively. I also have a base in mind, but as of right now…” that was as far as you really got in your mental tangent, “Queen Kanon, I humbly ask that you aid in this alliance, and that, if I may be so bold, give me advice on how to properly operate one.”

She giggles lightly, “My, the hero asks the Queen for help? Since when in the stories has this happened?” After a short laugh she calms down and readdresses you, “I will think on it hero, I am… hesitant to send my people off to some alliance after so recently being raided, but the reconstruction may take some time and we will be able to talk more during that time, come speak to me whenever you like and we shall discuss the alliance.”

It wasn’t a clearly ‘yes’ but it was definitely not a ‘no’ either. “Thank you, your majesty! We shall see to the reconstruction efforts and I will be sure to meet with you often.”

The Queen smiles, “Thank you again hero, and I look forward to it.”
>>
>>981521

Standing up, you thank the Queen for her time before leaving to rejoin the others. They ask how your meeting went and after explaining to them your plans to stay here during the reconstruction and also talk with the Queen about an alliance. They all seemed tired and just nodded along with what you had to say. Which was pretty much what you expected given events. You friends are opting to take things one step at a time and would focus on the village before anything else.

Still, you all had at least a few days time to rest in the village in between the daily work and patrols.

“Hey, guys mind if I get your thoughts on a few things?”

Yuki answers, “You mean about the alliance against that man in the north? I think it's a good idea, he seems far too strong to take out ourselves.”

“Agreed,” chimed in Victoria, “Plus that means we get to fight in huge battles! With armies and shit! This will be way better than that damn stealth mission we did on that backward ass island!”

“Right but what about the people the others? The logistics?”

“Ohh that, who cares, they like us right? Then we just gotta show up and tell them about us and all.”

“I understand that, but how and where?”

Anna now takes time to add, “Well you said Mother’s castle at one point which is very defensible but the enemy is in the far north. Pooling our resources there may give him time to spread out in the north. As for how to contact everyone you could just use the hapries here. That would be fastest.”

“Yes.” Aki agreed but retorted, “but most of the other races don’t have talks with the hapries, them just suddenly showing up as representaties might jar some of the others. Instead, I think it would be most effective to send one of us to each of them as representatives. They know that we are with you and as your direct links they would for sure join. As for places to settle I sugggest the town between the two forests we visited once before. It is far less south than Mother’s castle, though admittedly less defensible. Plus it gives all the races a fair travel distance to meet up.”

Rozalin now adds, “If he is in the north then we should cut him off there. Aki and Dear both know a town at the base of a well-protected volcano. Using that as a base would be far more direct.”

“And far more dangerous,” Aki responded.

Rozalin shrugged it off, “Still someone is going to have to go up there. That volcano is far more valuable to us than mere soldiers, as it holds a beast with the strength of a whole army.”

“And what about the witch?” Nessera interrupts, “She too is quite valuable and her being so close to the border makes her capable of interference no? I saw we recruit her before anything.”

Yaga has been consistent in aiding you, and getting to Baeloric may prove difficult, but if not done soon it may be too late. Your mind begins to race with all the things being said right now. The voices of your friends began to rise as each started to point out each other's plans’ flaws or putting forth their own suggestions.

“Alright stop!” you said to everyone. “Thanks, but for now we should focus on rebuilding. I will think it over throughout the day.” Your friends grew silent for a while before they each began taking their own leave to see to the village. You sigh as you too set out to help the village, the entire time thinking over what was said. You could already tell that with everything going on, it was going to be a long couple of days.

Chopping away at some extra wood for homes you think deeply about your next steps, It was a lot to think about, but that is what you had the Queen for to ask any questions you may have. You think you have a pretty good idea of what to do, at least in the beginning.

After delivering the logs to actual craftsman you all meet up once again so you could all enjoy time resting. Taka still looked pretty injured but she had been coming around most of the day and looks much more like she is able to move properly now. Just in time for bed, though.

Reconstruction efforts are going fairly smoothly and there has been no sign of enemy activity in the nearby vicinity. Overall you would say that it was a successful enough day. At night before bed, you map out your plans on a piece of paper. Heading to Mother’s castle with your forces, which you planned to grab from everyone besides Wa and the Mermaids in Lake Biwa. The people of Wa had just got done fighting a war and you didn’t think the mermaids could be of much helpless the entire plane became suddenly underwater. Not to mention that whole genocide thing might still sting a bit.

Tomorrow you’ll talk with Kanon about most of that while aiding in the reconstruction effort.

The next morning you wake up early, at least compared to the rest of your friends who all seem to be knocked out and strung upon the ground of the small house you were all sleeping. Making sure not to wake anyone up you sneak your way through the pile of bodies and stretch once you are outside. You see a bolt of water rush by from the side of the house.

Peeking from around the side you see Taka breathing heavily while also picking up another ball of water with her magic and preparing to through it. “Taka, what is going on?”

“Onee-chan?!” She yells the ball of prepared water ends up hitting you directly in the face. Well if you weren’t sure you were awake or not before, now you know that you diffidently are no. “Onee-chan you should have said something…”

You thought you did, but you brushed it off, “That’s okay, I am just heading out to talk to the Queen here, is something up? You look like you have been at it for hours.”

Taka looks a little sad, “That’s because I have been.”

“What?”

“I have been up for 3 hours practicing, after my failure yesterday.”

“Taka no one can blame you for that, it was an ambush, they are meant to be unexpected.”

“No!” she yelled, “I trained with Shirabu for two weeks and yet I am still unable to do anything properly…” Taka begins casting another water spell, “It won’t happen again.” She throws the ball of water forward but after a bit of distance it pitters out and plops onto the ground. Taka’s breathing grew heavier as she prepared another attempt.

You stop her by grabbing her arm, “Stop, you are wearing yourself out and if you keep going like this you may fall unconscious.”

“But!”

“No buts.” You kneel down to her and change your voice to be softer, “Listen, I know you want to be ready but going to these extremes will only hurt you in the long run. If you use all of your magic before the battle practicing, then you won’t have any for the battle where it matters.” You hug her, “Please Taka, just take it easy for a bit while I sort things out here, okay?”

Taka lowers her head, averting your eyes in an almost pouting like act, “Okay…” she says almost begrudgingly, but earnestly.

“Good girl.” You ruffle her head, “I understand how you feel but don’t worry we’ll figure it out.”

Taka nodded and with her arms hanging heavy made her way back into the house, where you soon heard the flopping sound of a body hitting a bed full force. Least you hope it was a bed and not one of your other companions.

Anyways, tearing yourself from the thought you head off to see the Queen, who was busy overseeing the reconstruction of the ward for the human children.

“Queen Kanon,” you call.

“Ahh, Hero, come to discuss your plans, have you?”

“Indeed, but first how goes construction?”

“Surprisingly well. With no hindrance from lingering forces and with you all here, we have been able to put full attention to the reconstruction. If my craftsmen are correct we should be done in no time.”

“Wonderful.” That means you’ll be able to start your plans sooner than you originally thought. “Now, about the alliance, we spoke of… I believe that…” you proceeded to tell her your plans for the alliance, using mothers castle as a base, using her harpies as messengers and the end all goal of defeating the master in the accursed lands.

Listening keenly to your words Kanon nods, “Yes that would be the most protective course of action, but what of the castle’s inhabitants?”

“We’ll deal with them, we have… a history.”

“As long as you are confident then. Are we all to meet at this castle I suppose then? In which case, you will need to take Melo as my representative.”

“I’m sorry what?”

“I need to remain here for my people and to protect the remaining children in case of an attack. Until this alliance is solidified. Until I can guarantee the safety of the village I will not leave, but Melo as my royal assistant will be my representative.”

“Ohh, goody.” You can imagine the headache now.

Though from the way you two have been talking it sounds like Kannon is completely onboard with your plan. You thought she might be a tad more resistant but after suffering what she has, she was happy to aid in a chance to oppose the people that attacked them.

“Wait, does this mean?!”

She nods, “Indeed it does,” She extended her wing to your arm, “your alliance hereby begins, now.”

Taking her wing softly with your hand you perform a mutual handshake. “Thank you, your grace”

Filled with hope you shake her wing, but meanwhile smoke and hellfire were brewing in the distant plane.

"Why did you become younger? Didn't that strip you off much of your power?"

"I noticed the only way to truly influence MC is by giving her a little sister that does so."

Everyone jaw drops.

Now properly convinced it seems Kanon has thrown her lot in with that of your proposed alliance against the evil in the north. You and her each write letters to give her harpy messengers to the various species which you are trying to reach. You are a little concerned if the harpies will be able to find their way to the right locations but beyond Melo, Kanon gives her confidence in their ability, also given your surprising memory you are able to clearly describe the locations of the various races that you had helped. The Scorpions in the south, as was the centaurs. The goblins and harpies of course where you currently are. Speaking of which Wilhelm will likely prove a valuable resource for arms and armor, you doubt it will be the same quality to your own equipment but even mass produced Wilhelms crafts are sure to aid the cause.

Speaking of which you thought it best to take up the smith’s earlier pleas for a tune up so you went off to see Wilhelm before you left the city, and seeing as your messengers were recently sent out now may be the ideal time. You didn’t want to take your friend all away from their jobs during the reconstruction so instead you had everyone load up their equipment into a wagon that you and Rozalin pulled over to Wilhelm’s forge.

Rozalin occasionally complained on the way there but after you told her this was all she had to do, rather than work, she warmed up to the idea of pulling luggage around. Shortly you found yourself stepping into Wilhelm's humbly sized shop that looked to be highly disorganized with metal and scrap strung about.

Wilhelm from behind a desk calls out to you“Ahh hello there! Please do not mind the mess, Unfortunately, the amount of work the Queen has me doing has left little time for organization.”

“Oh, well if you are that busy then we could also return later. The items you wished to repair are not nearly as important as the village-”

“Wilhelm interjects, “Nonsense. The items I made for you all were passion projects and I would hate to leave them looking as they do now, plus working on them would be refreshing from all the metal framework I have been making for homes. Please follow me.”
>>
>>985353

Wilhelm leads you to the back room of the shop were the forge and smithery was and as he inspected the equipment he noticed something off and asked, “Where is the armor I made for that young man? They agile one which I gave armor styled after a monkey?”

“Ohh Adrian? It’s a rather long story…” Boy was it. “But ultimately he found a new home and is no longer a part of our traveling group. But you should not fear he is in very capable hands where he is now.”

“Ahh I see, pity I won’t be able to work on his armor, though, I had some fresh ideas for a touch-up design.” Examining the weapons and armor one by one he meticulously tested each and every part of the equipment. Taking mental notes of each item and how to go about repairing, polishing and shining them if needed. After his examination he told you, “This will take me no longer than the day, please return tomorrow or before you leave and pick them up.”

“Thank you kindly, Wilhelm, your arms, and armor have helped us a tremendous deal on our journey and we are truly honored to wear such finely made crafts.”

“Haha, thank you hero, but if only I could smith untarnishable items.” Laughing he begins putting on his protective clothing before taking your sword in his hand, “I will see you all tomorrow” he announced before turning to the forge and beginning his work.”

You thank the smith one final time before leaving. On the way back to your small house you are stopped by a guard who spotted you. “Hero, the Queen informed the guard to tell you of news from our scouts and messengers you sent earlier.”

Could something have happened, in a slightly nervous voice you ask, “What of them?”

“They have spotted some disturbances in the northern planes and forest of the Eversong. Reports say that craters of impacts are in the middle plain around a small hut, and the northern section of the Eversong is supposedly a flame!”

“What! But why?”

“We do not know, but the scouts say that a robed figure was spotted near the hut and a large bird apparently made of fire was seen near the forest.”

“A Robed figure and bird of fire?” “Azrazzor,” Rozalin reminded you. Ah yes, the fire elemental you fought in the accursed lands, but what was she doing outside the lands and why was she over in the siren filled forest? Also, that robed figure who could they have been and why were they near Yaga’s hut.”

This was concerning, you had planned to leave tomorrow for the castle in the south but these sightings may warrant examination. But if you stop at one of these spots you may be late to the meeting at the castle, which still lay in the hands of potentially hostile vampires.

Your mind started to race with the possibilities all these events could mean and what to do about them but there were far too many of them. After a short panic, you tell yourself to calm down and take time to clearly think about what may be going on here. First, there were the stolen children to lead you into a trap and now these two events that further encourage you to go check on them… the possibilities that these are also traps are far too high to risk anything and furthermore you feel it prudent to keep an eye on the whole village for spies.

You’ll have to tell Nessera and Serena about all things when you see them again, but for now its not a good idea to leave until you get your equipment back tomorrow. You also don’t want to head to any of these danger zones and decide to focus on the castle. However……

You thank the guard for informing you and while walking away you pull from your pocket the sphere Auriel gave you some time ago, “Auriel,” does this even still work? “Auriel are you there?”

A surprised old voice sounded from the orb, “What? Yes who might it be, ohh young one? Is that you?” One he realizes who you are he gets far more excited in his speech, “It has been some time, how are you? Did you find any new ruins or magics you perhaps are interested in?”

“Ehhh, not quite….” You say to try and curb his enthusiasm, “Listen Auriel, I know you don’t believe the No-Named Man exactly exists but his ‘force’ or whatever has attacked me multiple times, and now threatends the plane with an increasingly hostile force in the north. I am putting together an alliance against the force and I ask you for assistance if you can help it.’

“My, that is quite the first thing to say there. I’m more used to ‘hello.’”

“Auriel…”

His voice takes a serious tone, “I know, my research has pointed to time anomalies from the past linking to locations in the north, though the location is still a mystery to me… it has been growing more active as of late and from what you told me those months ago about that cloaked man from the human village before it burnt down, it may just be him. I do not know if he possesses the same threat that you ascribe him too, but I will help in stopping calamity.”

That was effectively a yes, “Great. Then can I get you to do one thing first? There is a witch named Yaga that lives in a small hut near the center of the planes at the border of the Accursed lands. Some strange activity is taking place there and I need to know what is happening. I would go myself but I need to lead the alliance in the south. Plus I think it may be a trap…’

“A trap you say… hhmmmm, then I will take utmost caution in my examination. Very well young one, I shall inform you of any anomalies.”

“Thank you, Auriel, I am truly grateful for your help.”

“Tis an elders duty to look after the young is it not?”
>>
>>985751

After that, his end cut out and you put the orb back into your pocket with your mind slightly more at ease about the situation. Sighing in relief you and Rozalin head back to your temporary home where you inform your friends about your plan.

Too many things were starting to happen all at once, so you instruct people to be paired up at all times with Nessera and Serena on constant watch duty. Tomorrow you would grab your equipment from Wilhelm and head south along with Melo to Mother’s castle and prepare it for alliance HQ. For now thought, we should be careful and continue as you have been.

The day and night thankfully proceeded without incident and soon you found yourself picking up your equipment from Wilhelm, after first looking over your shoulder for enemies, of course.

The young smith proudly announces while handing you the items, “Here you are all spick and span!”

That was an understatement. They were so pristine, clean and gleaming that you felt your hands themselves would soil the items. The blades were resharpened the armor polished and scuff free and overall the set looked as if it was freshly made.

“Thank you, Wilhelm, for your skill with a forge and hammer are quite unprecedented.”

“No no, thank you. Working on those really did get me energized for more crafting. I only hope now that these items will protect you in your battle.”

“Of course they will,” you affirmed, “these are the the arms made by a master smith!”

Bowing with a smile Wilhelm says, “You honor me, Hero.”

Wilhelm soon took his leave and before doing absolutely anything else you had everyone re-equip all of your equipment in case of sudden ambushes. Once your armor was properly on you went to announce your departure to the Queen, and also pick up her royal representative.
>>
>>985755

Kneeling before the Queen you start, “Your majesty, we go now to cement our alliance with the other nations and species in the south. You shall likely hear from use within the next few days, but until then I wish you and your forces the best in their efforts and pray for your safety.”

“And I, you.” She turns to her assistant, “Melo, you go now as an important representative, please be on your best behavior.”

Melo meet the queen’s words with a dignified salute using her injured wing, “Roger Roger your majesty! Aahhh….” she winced in pain from using her limb. Melo played off the pain and continued, “aahhh man I am so excited to go see all the other people! Let’s go!” she exclaimed , but ran into a room deeper in the tree instead of leaving.

You sigh and go grab her, but not forcefully like you wanted to, after all the injured are still fragile, though Melo was already pretty mentally fragile in most regards. After getting everything situation with your team prepared and your VIP on hand you wave to the village, queen and guards as you leave and begin your journey to the dark castle.

Travel has been kind to you as of late as you surprisingly don’t run into any issues as you all made your way down the castle. You did notice from a far distance smoke rising from somewhere, but you determined to stay on course for the castle.

Melo, unsurprisingly, proved to be a handful the entire way, constantly asking how come you all aren’t faster fliers and having to explain that you can’t fly and neither can she. You just hope she doesn’t ask or say these things once you meet with everyone. Beyond that the journey was quiet, but not a natural quiet. Either it was quiet due to your summons and everyone is busy gathering, or it was an ominous quiet with threats laying in wait in the nearby distance. Double checking over your shoulder constantly you continued on the path to the dark former residence of a vampire.

Coming up to the long bridge you notice distinctly there is a squadron of guards standing outside the main gate, and as they see you approach they brandish their weapons. You ready your weapons as well, just in case before speaking to the armed guard.

You relay to Kagehana in your head, “Help me be scary here, however you can.”

Holding your weapon firm you announce to those opposing you, “Your leader is dead, run before you end the same!"

one of the guard yells back, “Ha, you may have killed her, but there are far more of us than there are you. What makes you think you could possibly win?”

“Very well then,” You begin a slow walk across the bridge, as you do so Kagehana turns your shadow big and scary in the shape of a nine tailed fox with glowing red eyes. As you inch forward you can tell your intimidation tactics were working as you could see the guard who yelled at you was trembling, wobbling his sword.

Your friends slowly followed your lead. Yuki held Melo back and her mouth shut, so that she doesn’t ruin the moment. Kagehana then took the next step and altered the appearances of your friends giving them the appearances of various shadow demons with contorted limbs glowing eyes and the sort.

The guards fell to their knees as you approached further, until the throw down their weapons before you as you approached ever closer, “Please, please stop! Spare us!” they cried

Standing before them with a booming voice you announced, “You are unwanted here anymore at this dark castle. LEAVE! NOW! Do so and I will spare your lives.”

“B-B-But we have lived here for hundreds of years… where will we go?”

“That is unimportant to me. And I don’t think asking such questions in your position is appropriate. I will say it one more time, Leave! You have 30 minutes to vacate the castle. Anyone left behind will be killed, and any attempts of traps or magic will result in us finding and killing you.”

The vampires seemed frozen in place.

“I do suggest… that you hurry.”

Shocked into motion the vampires scramble to open the gate and begin flying madly throughout the castle. Sitting idly by the castle gate Kagehana released her illusion on your and your friends. You can hear her breathing heavily in your shadow, “Good job Kagehana, you can rest now.”

Those next 30 minutes felt frighteningly short, but that just may have been the enthusiasm the vampires showed to leave as fast as they could. By the time 30 minutes had been up the castle was already a silent fortress, without a single soul inside of it.

Walking into the empty castle Yuki releases her hold on Melo who began yelling, “What the hell happened? Why were you all shadowy and have glowy eyes? Why were you demanding Leafes then?”

Yuki began explaining as best she could since she knew you couldn’t be bothered to deal with her anymore, you had to focus on getting this place presentable to the coming guests. “Everyone I want you to sweep the house for either stragglers and things of note while we tidy up the main chamber for the meeting. Anna and Victoria you two act as lookouts. Yuki, you work on making Melo presentable and dignified for the meeting.” Barking out orders has become rather natural to you but manning a whole castle with about 10 people may be a little daunting.

Sweeping the castle for suitable furniture you were somehow able to find and cobble together enough tables to form a rounded table set up for a meeting, to take place. A few hours passed and you got the clearance that there were no remaining vampires in this castle. Breathing a sigh of relief you soon here Anna yell to you. “Forces on the horizon! I see Scorpion, centaur, Arachne. Small contingents lead by a single figure with a harpy messenger.”

You rushed to the main gate to greet the guests, first came the scorpionfolk headed by their Queen Sei.

“Sei.” you said surprised, “I had not expected to see you personally attended.”

The young queen smiled, “Being called upon like this I could hardly sit still, plus this will be a great show from my people that we are through with our ways of hiding away in the sand.”

“Well it is great to have you, please follow Rozalin, she will show you to the meeting room.”

Rozalin look surprised, “I will what now?” after a quick nudge by you and a look that said, “just go with it,” she changed her response, “I mean of course! Right this way your majesty.”

A short while later came the Centaurs, lead by the beautiful Azura and her handmaiden.

“Lady Azura, it is most wonderful that you were able to attend this meeting.”

“Indeed, but I must inform you that I will listen to what you have to say before us all before making a decision on behalf of my people. We have been fighting eachother for a long time, and most are weary of violence.”

“I understand…” bowing you allow Rozalin to show them to the meeting room.
>>
>>986443

Next came the Arachne lead by Fey, “Fey!” you called out, “I had thought to see you in the harpy village.”

“I was with my people escorting a trade mission from the dark elves in the forest at the time. I… heard about the attack a few days ago. I am sorry for the loss of life there. Should we have been there then maybe..”

“That is alright Fey. It is unfortunate that we were attacked that day, but it is more fortunate that you are here now, please come this way.”

That was all of the guests for the meeting, it felt a little short tallying up those you helped in your adventures in your head, but minus the mermaids, Wa and the individuals currently out of your reach these four were all you had. Though Melo technically also represented the Goblin folk who still lacked a king.

The royal and personal escorts of the representatives were sticking close their leaders and were nearly silent when you entered the room ahead of Fey. Reading the atmosphere Fey silently went to take her seat at the table with her guards standing behind her. Likewise, you did the same but remained standing when you reached your seat.

The air was stagnant and heavy, no one was attempting to mingle thought they all eyed each other, Melo looked to be the most active member of the representatives fidgeting in her seat as Yuki held her back from making any sudden outbursts. Looking across the table you began addressing the would-be alliance members,

Leaders of the people of the Astral Plane everyone here have things to lose if the Master of the badlands takes over the continent. He has slaved globins with magic so foul that makes their heads explode if they disobey. He even caused a volcanic eruption to destroy the globin capital and try to kill everyone out of spite when his Boss minion attempts to rule over all globins failed. You then look at Taka "Taka, please tell everyone how that man had recruited you."

Taka is surprised by your sudden request and as a result, locks up for a moment, but after a reassuring nod you gave her she began to reluctantly speak to the table members, “He originally came when I was about to be killed. He… had this aura, that made everyone near him believing whatever it was he said, and make you feel that you wanted to do everything and anything for him. And I felt that way no matter what… at least until I met Onee-chan.”

Looking up to you, you reassuringly place your hand on your head taking charge of the conversation once again, “It took strong and ancient magics to break the hold he placed on Taka, and some of the people who he has abandoned have been reduced to husks of people, looking no different than mindless slaves. Furthermore, he placed a curse in the form of a shadow demon onto me.” Placing your hand over your heart dramatically you announce, “This man only cares for his own gains and will trample over anyone or worse indoctrinate them. His forces have already begun rampaging in the northern mountains and raiding the villages further south. He must be stopped. He has a sizable force at his disposal, which is why I humbly ask you all here if you would be willing to come together to face this threat.”

A silence hangs in the air after your speech, it was a rather demanding thing you were asking of them so you understood the hesitation, but at the same time, you had hoped your speech to be met with some amount of cheering or applause. After the heavy air remains stagnant for maybe a minute unsurprisingly Melo was the first one to talk.

“I, the representative of the Harpy Queen Kannon believe this to be in our best internets...”

Yuki nudges Melo, before her eyes grew wide, realizing her mistake “...I mean interest! And that I, who represents both the Harpies and the Goblins of the north west put my forces behind this appliance.”

Yuki sighs whispers into Melo’s ear. After another brief moment Melo looked shocked and corrected herself, “Alliance!”

Well… at least she tried right?

Another silence hung in the air as the other leaders shifted their gazes to the monotone harpy, who clearly saying predetermined sentences, albeit, with a little personal touch.

The young Scorpion Queen broke this silence, “I do not personally know of this threat you are speaking of, but I would not question your intentions after all you have done to help our people. I too believe this alliance has merit.”

Azura added, “You have aided us before, and if you believe war is coming whether we like it or not, then I would prefer our tribes be prepared for this threat. I hereby pledge myself and my tribe to the cause.”

Fey was the last to comment, she looked hesitant at best during the start of your speech but after seeing the other two leaders agree she took a more relaxed expression, “We too shall assist, though I’m afriad we are far fewer than either of your forces.”

Sei responds, “That is the purpose of this alliance I believe, for us to add to each other strength.”

You jump back into the conversation nodding to Sei’s words, “Right.”

Taking a breathe you begin once more, “Then if I may be bold as to proclaim the alliance cemented?”

Azura responds, “I believe you may, but first I would like know know our fellow alliance members.”

“I’m sorry?” Aft first you were confused, but then it hit you. You launched straight into your speech without anyone knowing properly knowing the rest of the members.
>>
>>989425

Sei broke the ice once more, “Sei, queen of the Girtablilu, it is a pleasure to meet you all.” Smiling away she managed to reassure your panicked spirit. Following her, each of the leaders took their turn in proper introductions except Melo, who for the sake of not giving off a terrible first impression was done for by you. After all was said in done you all agreed that at least in name the alliance be founded. The members of each party began to mingle with the other and although incredibly hesitant to do so the leaders all showed wonderful examples of talking with the other species. Sighing in relief you feel your pocket begin to glow and buzz.

“?” You reach in and pull out the Auriels communication orb.

An old man’s panicked voice came from the glow, “Young one are you there?”

“Yes Auriel, what is it?”

“I have just checked on the hut as you asked and I found an old woman unconscious in side. She is still well alive and out of harm's way but her home appears a mess with all the craters outside telling a story of a great battle being waged here. “Best to stay with her there Auriel, but be careful we have no idea what might be going on.”
She might be a doppelganger for one, or some shapeshifter the Master has placed as yet another trap. You couldn’t be too careful any longer.

“Alright then, I shall tend to the quarters then… my word this place needs cleaning! Now that I think of it this place is surprisingly spacious given the exterior…. I must know how!” He cut out shortly after that. Despite his apparent distraction from the danger he may be in you knew he would be okay, a powerful wizard such as himself was not going to fall for some trick so easily.

Putting away the orb you rejoin the conversation, “Apparently Yuki was trying to moderate the conversation between the leaders in your stead, though Melo looked painfully confused. As her mouth lay agape at the large words Azura and Sei were speaking. Your friends casually began entering the wide-ranging conversations, acting as mediators following Yuki’s lead. You were about to join in the conversation with the leaders when Nessera’s hand caught your arm.

“Nessera,” you responded turning around to face the Imp, “Come to join in the talks? Or is something the matter.”

Unflinching as usual she responded, “We found a door upstairs, it has complex locks on it and runes engraved on it.

Looking at how well the mingling is going you think the others have a pretty good handle on things down here. “Alright, lead the way.” You turn to leave when you see Melo’s pained face one more time. “Damnit.” you walk over and feeling sorry for the poor girl you interject into their talks, “Parden me ladies, but I must speak with representative Melo for a moment, Right this way,” you say forcefully dragging her out of the group huddle, Yuki covering for you the entire time.

“Wow, thanks there, but what do you wanna talk about? Is it how boring all this is? Or are you excited that it worked… I know I should be but I just can’t get over what Yuki said earlier. I mean, she did beat me at a game of blindfolded tic-tac-toe so I had to listen to her and be quite. You know for some reason I always lose at that game.”

“Melo, please, you are free to be yourself but within reason, don’t break anything or bounce off the walls while we are walking.”

Getting some pep back into her step she agrees, “Sweet! Where are we heading?”

“To check on something.” Having her follow you head upstairs Nessera leading the way. You didn’t know what you expected to find at the door, so you stopped at where you all kept your things and equipped yourself, telling Kagehana, “Be wary,” as you approached. After getting dressed you actually had a thought, this was one of the rare times Nessera was without her daughter. “Hey Nessera, this is the second time you tried to make me go somewhere alone, how is your daughter doing?”

“Is that concern or suspicion…” she sighs, “She has been downstairs with Akitani and Taka invisible, she doesn’t do well with large crowds and usually needs me, but over time she has grown quite attached to Akitani and Taka, she should be fine.” She pauses before starting with an half-smile, “After all, we are all friends here right?”

Alright. Not wanting to question her further, you proceed up the stairs past Mother’s room and down a hall to where you found the door Nessera spoke off. It was covered in red runes etched across the stone door. Clutching Mother’s Mommy doll just in case you investigate.

Touching the runes your mind is suddenly shocked with a rush of memories, but they are not your own. You see through a woman's eyes as she works away at a desk near this very door. The woman is putting pen to paper with incredible speed writing of her thoughts and the gate. “The Gate lay behind the door he said… But the gate will only open on the eve of the red moon… damn. Why do these things have to be a once a year chances! Not to mention Allister's insane precautions for just the door to the gate. Only the head bloodline may perform the ritual to open the door, but I just wish it didn’t require so much effort and blood….”

You feel pain rushing to your head once the vision ends, grasping your head in pain you backstep away from the door.

Melo asks frantically, “Are you okay,”

“Y-Yeah, just saw something and I think… behind that door lies a gate… a gate… wait!” You jump up and press yourself to the wall searching its runes for further clues if that vision was right then what lies beyond this gate was… “Home..” you whispered to yourself. You jerk your head around the room and too the right of the door as was in your vision was a desk. Picking and pulling through the desk you look frantically for anything that might tell you more. You grab what you think might be the notes the woman in your vision was writing, excited at the prospect of their contents you open the scroll to find… more runes.

“Damn,” You are not a versed in runecraft or writings but this ancient tounge seems to be all that is written here, and on/about this door.

“Damnit I am so close!” you yelled to yourself as you pound the bottom of your fist into the wall next to the door.

“Young one?” came a concerned voice from behind you. The imp mother continued, “Is everything alright?”

“Y-Yeah… sorry. There is nothing we can do about the door right now but thank you Nessera for showing me.

Nessera keeps her intrigued/confused eye on you as she receives your thanks, “You are welcome”

“I guess we should head back down then…”

A groan came from beside you, “Do I have too?”

“That depends, do you want me to have to beat you at blindfolded tic-tac-toe too?”

She pouts, “Not really…”

“Then ou have to go.”

She sighs, “Fine.”

“It's okay, you only have to be there now, just to keep up appearances.”

She responded with all lack of enthusiasm, “Roger, roger”

On the way down you couldn’t help but feel frustrated, the key to heading home was right there in front of you, but you had no way in without some ritual involving a lot of blood surely detailed in the old carvings. There were only three casters of renown that may be able to read that writing, two of them are in a hut up north and the third is a broken individual working as a slave girl for your demon little sister. Oh well, this meeting was originally about fighting against an evil force, so maybe you should just focus on that for now.”

Heading back downstairs you unequip your gear and worm your way back into the mingling.

>Enjoy the gathering for what it is worth, maybe try to pick up some girls while you are at it, Aki and Yuki are too distracted anyways
>Try to get straight to business, after your discovery you are growing concerned
>Pull your friends away from the party and tell them what has happened
>Keep the door a secret, don’t want anyone else panicking about the prospect of leaving.

>After the fun, tell your team about the door.
>If you did pick on some girls, blame your monster girl like mentality and the fact that you are basically a 12/13? Has it been a year already? Forced to deal with stuff that you weren't ready for.
>Admit that you enjoy the seduction of other girls.
>Ask if there is some kind of shrink you could see because it doesn't look like you are getting over this on your own.

You decided to, at least for now, bury the thought of the door in your head and enjoy the time mingling for what it was worth. After all, this was a get together celebrating the coming together of these peoples to face a threat and you should try to have a little fun.

Speaking of fun….

Your eyes tended to wander about rather shamelessly throughout the evening. You did, of course, chat up the foreign leaders, Fey even took a moment to insist you see her tapestry she had been putting together. It was a fine tapestry, worthy of her species namesake, but you were far more interested in other forms of entertainment. Fey was beautiful and you had thought about hitting her up with ha proposition, but given her position perhaps now wasn’t the opportune time. Azura was in the same boat and Sei was strictly out of the question.

Instead, your eyes spot one of the non or half-Girtablilu with a well-endowed chest and surprisingly wide hips. After complimenting Fey on her work you eject from the conversation, claiming your need to use the restroom. Truthfully you just dived and dipped through the crowds to the lovely lady you had in your vision for most the evening.

You break the ice, “Ohh hello there, I know a good deal of the people here, but I don’t believe we met yes I am-”

“Ahh!” Her face seemed to light up when you were talking with her, “You’re the hero of the village, you defeated the former queen and opened the way for reopening the village!”

“Please, it was my pleasure to assist you all. I was just glad that I was able to help your people gain your place back in the village. After all, beauty of your caliber should not be confined to the slums of any town.”

She blushes, “Well I… thank you very much.”

“No need for thanks, I would just think it a shame to let your attractiveness unnoticed.” You offer her your hand, “If it weren’t too bold of me would I be able to ask you to join me for a walk, I very much wish to know more about you.”

“Are you kidding, of course! It isn’t every day you get to talk with the hero of the village!” Jumping at the chance she takes your hand and you begin your walk through the hallways of the castle. Chatting as you were you made further and further pushes and comments on her beauty. Soon she started to appreciate your figure commenting on your slender yet strong arms. This culminating in a visit to your bedroom in the upper layer of the castle, where you both agreed to get better looks at each other's figure.

As the door closed behind you two you wasted no time bringing the girl up against the wall and kissing her. You didn’t get a good chance to have sex since you left Wa over a week ago and you were thirsty. At first, she tried to put up a smidge of playful resistance but that all gave way in a matter of minutes. Feeling the strength leave her, you bring her over to the bed where you press up close taking special attention to caress her prominent breasts and ample buttocks. Your tongue entered her mouth were your saliva's began to mix. There was no stopping you at this point and as you continue, you felt your mind slipping further and further to pleasure.

That night lasted for hours as you were used to spending evenings with Aki and Yuki who would keep you rocking away for almost half a night, but the poor girl had far less stamina than your girlfriends. That’s not to say her lack of moment stopped you as you continued until you were satisfied.

Waking up in the morning you found the girl from last night still naked with you in bed. Smiling in euphoria. Relieved you stretch and think about the day ahead of you. Think though had to wait as you heard a knocking at your door and a voice, “Are you up yet? The leaders wanted to talk with you as soon as you are able.”

You to a sitting up position,“ Yuki? Ahhh oka, then I’ll be up in just a moment.”

The girl under you began to move, Yawning loudly as she did. You were surprised at the sudden movement and Yuki responded, “That tired are we?”

You nervously laugh it off, “Haha, yeah... “ You produce a long and exaggerated fake yawn, “I was never much of a morning person back home.”

“I know, and your mom once told me that there was only one way to get you out of bed on these type of mornings. You hear, almost in slow motion, the door handle turn and the latch click. Your eyes move at near inhuman speeds to confirm that the girl from last night was still semi attached to your waist under the sheets.
