You are Gurie Niamc, the daughter of a famous memefriend-slash-exorcist. When you went to bed you had just finished having dinner with a weird old man you just met who helped you train your weedle.

You look to the weedle, the bug pokemon slumbering under his blue nightcap in front of the frost covered window...

Wait? Frost covered?

You get up, stumbling out of bed in your skull pajamas as you look outside.

Wow, that's... that's a lot of white!
It's snowing! Despite you being pretty sure it wasn't even cold a few days ago it is now a winter wondercity outside.

>Christmas Seasonal event! In any random encounter roll, there is a chance of encountering a Ice type pokemon not native to the route or region. Other benefits may be provided as relevant

Well good thing you packed winter clothing... and summer clothing... and at least three disguises...

The point is, you are prepared to start your new day... just as soon as you have a plan!

>Contact Fly G, your a little late on the phone call but you are sure he wouldn't mind right? Right? You are so scared....
> Time to take on the Santalune gym! You can do it! Hopefully! Probably! Possibly?
>You'd get back to training but... you already did that! Maybe you'll just go play in the snow?

The past adventure: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/qstarchive.html?tags=Mimikyu

Gurie has at the moment a
+10 bonus to social rolls
+15 bonus to combat rolls

2/??? Hot guy phone numbers

Planny is now level 10 and knows night slash, confusion, teleport and double team, she is partly on the way to getting improved stats. Gentle nature

Mimikyu is level 13 and knows disarming voice, play nice, thundershock and phantom force. Lonely nature

Bedbug the Weedle is level 8 and knows string shot (upgraded to string room), poison point, leechlife and rest which he gets a evasion bonus while sleeping. Lax nature

Last thread was a big thread for Good gains... and by last thread i mean thread 4, thread 4.5 got you nothing except the gift of learning.

You decide that you might as well get what you've been pulling off over with, better you call then they call you after all. You dial Fly G's number in your holo, the coordinator Mc almost immediatly flickering into view.

"FINE A LEE, you have the common sense to listen to the G! Where the fuck were you bitch?"

Aww snap he's yelling you aren't good when they are yelly. You sniff under the verbal barrage.

"Hoe? Hoooooe? Eyes up at the G when the playa is speaking." G snaps, two flickering hard light fingers as G waved his hand under Gurie.

"Look, I ain't mad, well I am mad, but the G's mostly dissapointed. This is a bona fide op and you aint reelin in the fish when I asked? Now the G asked you fo a answer an you certainly tooked yo time to give one. So the fuck you wanna do now Gurie?"

>Sure lets be a idol

I'd certainly like to know if there is a contract involved.
If it is, then we should PROBABLY read it before agreeing to anything.
If not...
Well, then nothing can stop us from leaving if things get to much for us.

But asking Mimikyu about their opinion might help us in this decision.

You bite your lip under Fly G's verbal onslaught, the dude's right, you are trash. Trash who couldn't make a phone call, in fact why are you even a person if you can't keep a simple schedule you might as well just change your trainer class to Trubbish.

You feel your legs buckle but before you collapse into a sobbing fit you feel a small tug on your skirt.

"Rall?" Planny trilled worried, her psychic powers enveloping you in the mental equivalent of a hug. You feel better and bolster yourself against your foe you are going to tell him off an-

>44

"Bitch are you crying? The fuck? G should be crying over all the dead time you done wasted."
Oh right, you forgot you were kindof terrible at this. You bite your lip as you wipe the tears away.
"Um... no? I wasn't crying I just... am allergic to yelling."

"Bitch you were crying." G lowered his voice to match your shaking warble. "Now do you want in on the contract or not."

"Well... I don't think I'll be any good, at all. Even a little if we are honest... But you know who might be interested?"

You wake up Mimikyu, shaking the pokemon from their pile of pillows. "Mimikyu, would you like to be a star?"

"Star? Mimikyu can be a idol? ...Why?" The pokemon scratched its fake head with a shadow claw. "I'm not very good at stuff... even a little! I guess I can sing."

G sighed. "Arceus save me... look we will have a rookie tournament in Detourner Stadium in a few days, that shit ain't televised or nothing. Compete in that and see if the G's askin to much of yourself? Alright? G is out." The holo machine flickers off as you are left in your mild dissapointment with yourself.

You... guess you got a side quest figured out?

> Train for the tournament! Detourner way

I am so conflicted between training for the Tournament or facing Viola. Honestly in terms of the tournament, I'd say our largest obstacle is our anxiety/general fear of people. We're decent at making costumes and whatnot, but right now our main quest is the gym. I'll be back in a bit, I'm going to do some holiday shopping and I'm the anon who's trying to catch the shiny Budew for Gobble.

You wake up Bedbug, the bug pokemon curling under your winter jacket as you gather your pokemon to head off to the great unknown... or rather the great well known but not to you!

Santalune City Gym, the art gallery of ace photographer Violia. You aren't sure but you heard she uses bug types?

Oh wait there is a picture of a bug type on the door. Yup this is a bug gym.

You walk inside, noting the massive lovely art gallery, ooh look a close up view of a ledya.

You liked to think your a girl who can appreciate solid aesthetic when you see it and this girl sure seems-

There is a receptionist, a small slightly portly man sitting near two rhyhorn statues talking to some little girl dressed in a yellow parka. You cant see who it is under the hat but given how tiny she is she must be new on her adventure.

That's right you have to schedule an appointment to take a gym challenge.

Welp, you are doomed.

Cuttoff point was three anyway, so you guys got a 77.

"Alright ma'am." The secretary says, conversing with the little girl. "You've got zero badges so the first badge trial run will begin, there is a waiting period of 2 hours thank you for your time."

" Thank you." Wait you recognize that voice, the little girl turns around and you stare at the black soulless eyes of Debbie. " What a Merry christmas for me, first I get my appointment then best friend Gurie stops buy to give me my present." Debbie says tilting her head to the side. " You did give me a present right Gurie? We are friends and it's chrismas that's what friends do?"

You shake your head "Um... actually I was just here to schedule my appointment, I didn't um... its chrismas?"

Debbie blinked. "Yeah, it's snowing, thats how snow works, if it snows its chrismas, thats how Saint Delibird can get down the chimney."

You are... almost 100% sure thats wrong but you don't know enough about snow to argue it... You simply shrug and walk to the secretary, the man smiling as you walk over.

"Hello, champ-in-the-making, welcome to the Santalune Gym and Gallery, are you here to watch a match or particerpate?"

>77

"Um schedule one." You say handing the man your trainer card, the man swiping it.

"Alright Miss Niamc, the next available time is in 3 hours would that be alright with"

" Hey, hey." Debbie interrupts, pointing to one of the options on the board. " That multi battle option, if we do it do we both get the badge?"

The secretary looks behind him at the board listing the various availble battle formats. "Well... yes actually? Are you-"

" We are taking it! Right best friend Gurie?" Debbie tugs on your sleeve. " Right? Well?"

>Um... sure
>No

You sigh, you kinda don't want to but you know how Debbie gets when she has something in her head.

"Sure, lets do a team battle."

The man nods and hands you and Debbie your tickets to Debbie's two-o-clock match, that gives you roughly 2 hours to get lunch and train.

"We are going to decimate Bestie Gurie, you, me, Mr Chop Chop, Mr Smalls, and whatever you have! " Debbie is skipping behind you, you haven't seen her this happy since you made her that hat for Chrismas.

Debbie stops in front of you. " Hey, lets go look for pokemon, I haven't gotten to practice with Smalls yet, come on lets go."

Well... you don't have anything else to do so... why not?

You guys can vote on any ice pokemon that is not legendary, mythical or evolved, from Cryrogonal to Amura to Sneasel, however Castform and Rotom don't count.

http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Ice_(type)

Pick whatever you feel is the most Gurie, it is up to me to define the how it got there.

This 90+ bonus only applies to seasonal events, 100's shinies however are constant.

Incidentally, the next holiday special, which should be valentine, will be the same but for fairy types.
>>

Well, as of now, we have an assorted number of Fairies... umm... psychic is one, being Planny, then we have Mimikyu, being ghost and... fairy...

>>965659

Alolan Nintails has three and Aurous has the same four.

>>965680
Alola Vulpix, for a future Ninetails.
>>
>>965685

That's the spirit.
FUCK DEMOCRACY!
PRAISE HELIX!
Or something like that.

I'd do this.
We probably have enought time, and we can see how each and every pokémon acts and behaves.
Can't have a rampaging Dino around.

Observations should be relatively easy, as we have Suzie around.

And if mimikyu still decides to do the democratic thing, I'd go with Vulpix.

It's a mystical creature.
We are a hex Maniac.
What more can you expect from us?
Because I'm not sure if a dinosaur fits Gurie.
>>
>>965678
If it makes you feel better I don't know who you are.

>>965697
The real mystical force is the friends you make along the way anon.

So Yeb wants to use a Amura but it seems the most votes go to Vulpix so... writing. And by that I mean getting images.
>>
And I'm back to three, because I just looked at Alolan Sandshrew's resistances. I count eight, plus one immunity. Also, I double checked the gyms for Kalos. And that grass-type gym, let's go with Vulpix. I am swayed.

You trog through the snowy Detourner way, also known as Route 22, you look at the massive snow covered Rhyhorn track nearby, apperantly that is where the junior coordinator tournament is running in a few days. You can see construction around the stadium, looks like whatever G is doing, he's not doing it halfheartedly.

"Vuull..." You hear a soft cry nearby, behind a small cropping of tall grass.

You gesture to Debbie who follows you as you sneak in the field.

Prancing around in the snowstorm is a white fox pokemon, the small pup entertaining itself by jumping in a snowbank.

Debbie blinks... isn't that a vulpix? Aren't they supposed to be red?

A white vulpix... oh god... you found a SHINY! A REAL SHINY! This is huge, you have to have it.

There is only one real choice.

"Go Bedbug! Use String Shot!"

Bedbug fires a thick web of sticky silk, the Vulpix panicking as it finds itself suddenly covered in the stuff.

Yipping in alarm, the Vulpix trips into even more of the string, entangling it further until a sadly yipping fox whimpered inside a white mass of entangled thread. The poor fire type looking like a snowball with two blue eyes.

...You guess you won? That was fast. You toss your pokeball at the vulpix but it bats the ball away with a fan of white flame.

Looks like this snowball is still kicking... even if its not moving.

>Throw a second ball, whats it going to do? It'll tire out faster then you.

If we use teleport and double team in combination, we might be abled to confuse our little friend into following THEIR movement, instead of ours, as we throw pokéballs at it.

>>
>>965919

You know...
Up until now, we never really fought ANY Pokémon.
Mimikyu just... kinda happened.
Planny was our starter.
And Bedbug... well...

So why break the tradition?
If it doesn't want to, proceed with Planny.
I suspect that it will try to wiggle itself out of the net at some point.
WE CAN'T LET IT COME TO THAT POINT!
>>
You switch out Bedbug for Planny, the ralts teleporting behind the Vulpix as you just, lift Bedbug away from the battle. Hoo boy this is a heavy icicle.

You have a degree of options right now.

>Use Julie's Gateau on Bedbug?

Vulpix isn't aware of the switchin, the webball slowly waddling as the Vulpix attempts to roll away to freedom.

"Hey Vulpix? Do you want to come with me?" You wave the pokeball in front of it? "I can sew and stuff and make nifty outfits."

Ralts shimers in the air as the Vulpix finds itself surronded by two... 4... 8... 16 Ralts.

Squirming in panic, the Vulpix gives up, the snowy webball deflating as it acknowledges your superior numbers.

You toss your pokeball effortlessly at the nonresisting pokemon the vulpix's ball not even twitching as the webs fall apart without the pokemon inside it.

You caught a vulpix! Hooray!

Ralts looks to you, clearly stronger from the ordeal.

Weedle... looks the same, looks like incapacitation prevents someone from getting experience. A pity.

"So did you catch the vulpix?" Debbie walks over, a small cannister of Ice Heal, the antifreeze slowly melting weedle's ice cube.

Well not any vulpix, a few years ago you were human.

Were, until a unfortuate incident involving team aqua and Mt Pyre. Even you knew it was a accident you saw it on the poor grunts face. But well, I guess thats what you get for jumping in the way of a crunch attack. The mystics in Mt Pyre are powerful, its said their Ninetails can perform miracles.

But miracles can only do so much so now... here you are! It's not so bad though, you got to explore the world, part of Saint Delibird's wintery entourage.

Human pokemon are the same as pokemon pokemon with the exception of them having once been human. It's a hinduian reincarnation cycle, not a Mangian high fantasy reincarnation cycle.

If I wanted to explore the world as a reincarnation sue, id make a quest dedicated to that. RE: Human or something.

Worth noting Gengar was cursed for his abandonment, Weiss was turned into a pokemon in a attempt to save his life after he sacrificed himself for the greater good.

A little like a certain character in a weird manga i know.

Anyway writing. Weiss it is.

Special abilities (at least what I consider them as):
Mimikyu: Learn any Electro-based attack.
Planny: Leany any Sword related attack.
Bedbug: Increased evasion when using "Rest".

Ooooooh. Yeah you'll find these things as you explore.

Weiss's knack does pertain to their past however.

" So you are calling him Weiss?" Debbie says, slurping a packet of Instant Imakumi, the two of you having taken to visiting the Pokemon Center to heal up your newest catch before hitting the gym.

"Well... I mean, he's white right? He must be a shiny?" You rub Weiss's head, the pokemon purring over its bowl of rattata nibbles.

Debbie's face scrunches up. "Don't shinies sparkle when they move?"

"It's just from Alola." Mimikyu helpfully brings up from under the table, the ghost pokemon shoving its own meal under its cloak where the poor Fletch breast sandwhich vanishes without a trace. "They are all ice types over there."

Huh... and you thought it was special too. Weiss looks up at you, the pokemon's head tilt as it notices your confusion.

Well he's cute so its fine you guess.

You got only a few minutes before you have to hit the gym. Just enough time to get something to prepare.

You...

You decide to teach Weedle U-Turn, its a decent move and given how unfortunately hittable Bedbug seems it seems likely it may need a few more bail moves.

You slide the cd into your pokedex a video flickering on the screen that you hold in front of your curious weedle.

"Yo yo, everyone it's ya boy Guzma!" A young kid in a black jacket says, golden sunglasses atop his head and a house arrest bracelet on his leg.

"So the pigs say that for my parole I got to put in my hours of community service doing this stupid video. Which frankly is a load of tauros -"

The video flickers off for a bit, looks like the editing is sloopy as the guy comes back on screen, glaring at someone off camera. "Okay so Farty the kahuna here says I got to be 'school appropiate' or whatever kind of toolish thing he said. So... hold on line?"

The man nods as some off screen guy lectures him. "Alright U-turn? Why can't I have gotten Beat Up? Just cause im a bug user means i cant teach dark typ- okay okay fine." Guzma tosses a ultra boll, some weird bug pokemon quivering on the floor in front of him.

"Yo B-down my Wimpod here knows that sometimes to really slug someone to the face you gotta get outta a bad situation, that's why U-turn lets you switch out a pokemon after it connects, lets watch me wail on this stray dummy of this tool kahuna that arrested me for graffitti. Feel free to play along on some nerds in your own life."

Is... is this really okay? This Guzma kinda seems like a tool... nevertheless your Weedle follows allong eagerly, Weedle successfully slumbering away in a pokeball as Planny looks confused at a broken trash can.

You have successfully learned U-turn.... yay?

With time running low, you and Debbie walk into Santalune's gym, the man waving you down a poll, leading to massive basement rope course, Debbie standing next to you as you teeter 30 feet over a massive pile of pillows and cushions.

"In order to be a good trainer, one needs to display cleverness like a bug pokemon. With many weaknesses and few heavy damage moves, bug pokemon rely on status ailments and debilitation to manuver around pokemon. This pokemon gym seeks to imitate this." A woman's voice, you assume Viola's, announces over the intercom.

"Both you and your pokemon are suspended 30 feet above ground, the floor under us is heavily cushioned so that even a snorlax using bodyslam will sink comfortably in it, and is capable of withstanding a hyperbeam without damage. In addition suspended in the web are several items that can benefit you or your foes.

To help you acclimate there is one precurrsor pokemon battle you must face before facing me. Good luck and do your best to win the coveted bug badge!"

You nod to Mimikyu, the pokemon eagerly scrambling in front of you, wooden stick out as he glares at the two youngsters who have sent out a spewpa and ledyba.

You turn to Debbie who has sent out a azuril, the blue mouse bouncing eargerly on a large orb twice its size.

Your foes look tough but then again, you have four pokemon and they have 2. Not to mention whatever Debbie has.

You got a few options here:

>Go for a item, there is a webcapsule nearby (Adds a 10 difficulty modifier on your move)

>Thundershock that ledyba out of the sky.
>Play nice, distract the spewa
>Phantom force, whatever they are planing bail

"Mimikyu use thundershock!" Mimikyu raised its stick pointing it as the Ledyba frantically scrambled with its hands, a small barrier of pink appearing as a light screen is brought up, just before it cracks under the electrical onslaught like porcilin under a hammer, the bug pokemon twitching in the floor as your Mimikyu poked at a nearby web, the Mimikyu looking confused at a web covered rocky helmet.

The Azurill has knocked the spewa flying, the bug hanging in the air over the webbed drop by a mere string shot between cracks in the rope web.

"Mimikyu play nice! Weaken that Spewa."

Mimikyu looks at the pokemon dangling under the ropes... hmm how to be nice?? It lifts the rocky helmet it found and tosses it at the Spewa, the yellow helmet fitting snugly on the bug pokemon's head.

Well... that could have gone better...

Mr Smalls fires off a few bubbles, the attacks harmlessly bouncing off the light screen as the Spewa makes its way up the string, the pokemon's carapace taking a hard silver sheen as it uses harden as it inches up.

Now the pokemon has a strengthened defensive position AND a hat. Way to go Gurie.

Well that... could have gone better you must admit, but hey if you don't suceed the first time.

"Phantom force Mimikyu!" Your Mimikyu's cloak slumps to the floor as Mimikyu vanishes.

Meanwhile Mr Smalls seems to be effortlessly dodging the Spewa's pin missle.

"Smalls, Slam attack!" The Azurill trills in acknowledgement, the Spewa getting sent flying accross the room as the Azurill's oversized bubble tail collides with it.

The Spewa falls between the tracks, relatively fine but too far away to get back up for a long while.

The youngster sighs, "Well played you two good-"

Mimikyu, unable to see what is going on in the Distorted World, chooses this moment to rexist, a large shadowy claw emerging from nowhere as the celebrating Azurill gets swipped at by the dark phantasmal claw... which go harmlessly through the normal type pokemon.

"Gurie?" Oh Debbie's doing that sing song thing with her voice you are in trouble. "Why are you attacking my pokemon, are you trying to hog the gym badges to yourself?"

" And furthermore what were you thinking using play nice on a already weakened Spewa?" Debbie continued her rant as you silently pouted on the ropes.

"Is this really necessary? It's not like my ghost attacks can possibly harm your Azurill?"

" But you could have used thundershock which would have!"

"But I didn't!"

"But you would!"
"NU UH!"
"Ya HUH!"

You shove Debbie, the match quickly devolving into a slappy fight until Smalls and Mimikyu pull you two apart, you still huffy over the indignity before you and Debbie head over to the gym leader in angry silence.

A flash of the camera announces the arrival of two girls, a rather sporty woman in a white tank top putting down the camera.

"And another cute picture for the catalog, that fight you two had sure was fun to watch. And the fight after it!" The woman waves.

"I am Violia and this is my sister Alexa, we are the last obstacle between you and your first steps as a pokemon trainer, the coveted bug badge!"

Alexa nods, the pony tail girl smiling confidently. "Hope you are prepared, we don't intend to make this easy on you just because you two are new, if the prize was easy to get it wouldn't mean anything."

The two gestured to a wooden platform for you and Debbie to stand on, the somewhat more stable surface giving you some ground to balance on.

"Well then, the rules are simple, each of you must use your two best pokemon against OUR two best. If you win, you get to be the front padge article of the next issue of Winners Weekly. If you lose... better luck next gym!" The two leaders wink.

"Are you ready? Because its too late to turn back now." The pair hold up a pair of net balls.

Let's get a handle on his moveset!

please?
>>
>>969507

Hmm...
Who would we consider our best?

I'd say the service duo could show their true colours.

Not sure if getting Weiß out would help us.
We don't know 'em that well...
But it might JUST work.

Anyways, I'll stick to
> Planny
Unless we get another Weiß vote.

Let's learn Weiß later, when we aren't in the middle of a Gym challenge.
>>
>>969564
So two votes Weis, one vote Planny one vote not Weis
>>
>>969564

Who would you pick then?
Bedbug or Planny?
Or Mimikyu again?
>>
>>969564
Even if he faints we have 3 more pokemon... C'mon!
>>
>>969632
I don't think we get to use 3 more Pokemon.
>>
Unless you were including Debbie's Pokemon. Then we do get 3 more. I still wouldn't go for it, though.

> Weiss and Planny. Weiss first.
>>
>>969663
So right now looks like Weiss wins, I have to go for a little bit so the voiting still open if people want to consolidate their chances but so far it looks like a solid win for everyones favorite snowball.

So as apology, I will post Weiss's movelist ahead of time.

Snow cloak
>Ancient Power
>Hail
>Powder snow
>Ember

I hope you enjoy what you have because there is a chance we will not be able to continue for a little while. If necessary a thread 5.1 will be made if these interuptions become too frequent,
>>
>>969847
Okay… okay. Yeah, I take back everything I've said about Wieß. Son of gun will mop the floor, easy, with that move set (assuming we roll well). But let's not use Hail in a double battle, as I understand it, that's considered bad form unless your partner has an ice-type too.
>>
>>969847
So, we'll be spamming ember. Got it.
>>
>>970271
Bug types are also weak to ice and rock, so Powder Snow and Ancient Power also do super effective damage. Powder Snow also hits both opponents, and both Ancient Powder and Powder Snow get double damage against flying, a likely secondary type.
>>
>>970286
*Ancient Power, not Ancient Powder
>>
>>970286
I'd suggest going with Ancient Power, considering that it has a 1 in 10(?) chance of upping all our stats.
>>
>>970286
Bugs aren't weak to Ice. Ancient Power is the strongest option.
>>
>>971147
What the - hm. Looks like I misread the type effectiveness table. Ancient Power is probably optimal, then.

You stretch, reaching the pokeball compartment lined in your purse to withdraw your most recent pokemon. "Alright Weiss its show time." Tossing the ball into the air.

Weiss lands on the ropes rather nimbly, the definitely fire pokemon purring as it scales the ropes, it seems rather used to high places. Even though you are technically underground.

Next to your Vulpix Mr Smalls bobs on their perch as the gymleaders twin netballs crack in the air.

"Kit kit." The gym leader's surskit skitters on the webs, too eager to keep still.

"Dewewew" Oh god what is that thing? It looks like a alien is drowning in its own helmet. Is it okay?

"Dewpider! I picked him up while touring in Alola and thought what better way to make your first battle memorable then introducing you to new pokemon?" Alexa says, patting the water bubble, bubbles floating up from the pokemon's head. It seems happy you guess so... you suppose its not dieing.

You wonder what your vulpix can do...

>Its a fire type right? Make it do something firery!
>You remenber it using powder snow. Hit both of them, maybe you can freeze them again and end the first round right here.

"Weiss do... something magical?"

Debbie turns to you. " You don't KNOW what he does?"

You shrug as Weiss's eyes glow the vulpix slowly floating in the air as the nets under Weiss glows, the carbonfiber cords unraveling as the air around the pokemon shimmers, the sound of chimes slowly echoing in some ominous chorus as the cords snake alive, the ropes unraveling themselves several strands of the cords rip themselves off the wall.

"Well way to go Best Friend, you doomed the world." Debbe says middly amused from her seat as the sound of drums start to echo, a ghostly apperation of a man manifesting behind the vulpix. "Now Chrismas is never happening."

You... might have messed up a little? "Sorry."

The cords strike like snakes, the arena becoming a chaotic mess as the other pokemon fall under the arcanic onslaught, dewpider crashing into surskit as a cord unravels around the two pokemon pinning them as Azurill bounces off the wall, the mouse expertly bouncing a tackle off the wall to migate the damage.

You look at Weiss, the pokemon still floating a few inches of the net, the air still crackling with energy. Is this really the same pokemon you turned into a web ball.

The surskit trills next to the other pokemon, the air above you becoming cloudy as rain begans to fall, the two bugs looking somewhat better off then they did a few minutes ago as the Dewpider tossed several blue orbs in the air, Weiss flinching as the water attack collides into him, you guess the rain strengthens it?

Azurill's rebound tackle crashes into the dewpider, interupting its attack.

You did some... okay you did a lot of a lot with that last attack but the bug pokemon seem less damaged then the rest of the area, Weiss looks relatively unharmed and Smalls is slightly bruised. You certainly came out of that round better then the others but they are water types and it is raining. This likely isn't going to be that easy.

>Ancient Power, I mean you already fucked this arena up already why not go for gold.

Before you react the Surskit slams into your Vulpix, whatever trick Weiss did having made it something of a target as the Surskit's aqua jet jolts past the other person, swift swim making the pokemon a blur in the heavy downpour.

"Weiss powder snow!" You turn to Debbie. "That's not going to cause some big issue right?"

Debbie shrugs. "What's the wo... no it should not. Azurill helping hand"

Your vulpix yips as the air around it grows cold, the rainfall freezing in midair into snowdrops as Azurril spits out a small stream of water, the extra water adding mass to the large snowball that fires upon the bug pokemon.

The bugs weather the storm, the dewpider having been fiddling with the bubble. The surskit smugly attempts to dodge the attack... only to find itself slipping on the now frozen net as the snowball strikes it off the net into the cushion below.

Unfortunately out of bounds isn't a thing and given it's speed its likely going to be back up next turn.

The Dewpider's injuries seems to heal a little, it's watery bubble glowing slightly. It's still shivering however and your Vulpix's biggest injury right now is a muddy coat.

You got this.

>Powder snow again, if you freeze the walls that surskit will be done for.
>Hail, cut off that Swiftswim and weaken the dewpider;s... dewiness.

The surskit jets up the wall, using its speed to climb up the wettened surface, any moment now it will be back in the fight.

"Hey, Debbie...." You begin as Debbie turns her eyes away from the fight.

"Yes?"

"When I used a ice attack i froze the arena, making the surskit slip.... what if I freeze the wall Surskit is climbing on?"

Debbie smiles and it's... really creepy, "Ooooh Smalls? You see that Surskit under you?" The azurill squeeks in acknowledgement.

"Water gun."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SUPVj8b18Qs

The Azurill opens its mouth, spitting out a spray of water on the walls that drench the poor Surskit as your Vulpix follows up with a ice attack, the walls of the gym glistening as a thin layer of ice coats the walls, forcing the Surskit to skid all the way to the bottom of the arena, the poor bug shivering in the slush coating the ground.

Viola sighs as she withdraws the bug. "Well, thats one down for you." Withdrawing a second net ball a vivillion enters the arena, pink wings glistining in the air.

Your vulpix gnaws at one of the web pods, withdrawing a chesto berry... that doesnt really help you as the dewpiders bubbles rain down again.

Your still doing pretty well, though Smalls looks like he will need to switch out soon. That dewpider really hits hard and if your Vulpix wasnt glowing and resistant to water attacks youd probbably be out by now.

It also still seems to be regenerating... you wonder why?

"Weiss you know what to do."

The floating vulpix turns around and winks at you as the snow pitches into a blizzard, the rainfall failing to stay as droplets as air become thick with snow, knocking the vivillion as it becomes weighed down by the sudden snowfall, white powder escaping from its wings asit and the dewpider get covered by snow, collapsing on the ropes in piles of white that slowly stop moving.

Smalls walks over to the nearest pile, brushing a little away and revealing a pair of large blue crystals.

It looks like you froze the two of them.

Alexa sighs as she withdraws the dewpider. "Well looks like you got us on the ropes, but there is one last move to try."

She throws out a second Vivillion, its purple wings fluttering in the air as Viola noticeable did not retract her Vivillion... you wonder what they are planning.

"Vulpix use a fire move!" Your vulpix nods, its tails glowing red briefly as you just remenbered something.

Viola's viovillan spent its last moments spreading some white powder... maybe it wasn't snow...

Maybe stunspore? A sleep powder?

Alexa's Vivillon dodges a fireball, the ember touching the snow covered net.

>Powder.

The area explodes, Debbie blinking as the entire arena erupts in hellfire, Viola's Vivillion floating above it as the fire successfully thawed it.

"We were going to use Natural gift to set that trap off but you did it just fine yourself." Alexa yells over the crackle of the flames. You look in the corner where your Vulpix lays, having gone from barely injured to just watching a supereffective attack explode in its face. The vulpix yips softly as it struggles to its feet.

The poor boy is still kicking but you can here alarm bells go off, a stiff breeze would likely knock it down.

"Vivillion now! Use gust." And there it is, your Vulpix being tossed on your platform with almost precision wind churning. The Vulpix looks at you with blue eyes slowly raising a paw before settling on a small wink before it faints.

Well... you feel stupid but this IS a gym battle, you guess it makes sense for the pair to know some tricks you didnt catch.

The arena has gone from web to ruins to refridgerator to now wildfire, Smalls spending its time using watergun on the webs to create a small space of safety as the two moths hover over it. You have no idea whose job it is to clean this all up but you are beginning to see why appointments have to be scheduled.

You take out Planny's pokeball as Debbie decided to follow you, your Ralts floating amid the sea of fire with a honedge next to it.

The Vivillions flutter in the air, the air smelling thickly like cherim honey as Viola's lightscreen triggers followed by Alexa's Tailwind. The Vivillions flying picks up as their wings glisten with special reducing barriers.

You suppose the hope was that it would be too hard for a psychic to take down two speeding bugs with resistance to their ranged.

You nod to Planny, who, Honedge wrapped around her arm, begain to use teleport, a large number of clones appearing.

Vivillion's wings glow as their fluttering increased, a large hurricane created by the two bugs sending Ralts flying into the wall, Planny stumbling back up sleepily as Honedge's blade gleams with a completed sword dance.

Planny's not doing so well and the doubles have already been cleared off quite handily. The rain has also started sizzling on the heat of the burning net, causing a thin layer of steam to hide the two butterflies.

You aren't doing well right now but there is still time to change things.

>>973979
Oh no see, to specifically counter that, you can only try each badge ONCE as your Xth badge.

So lets use a weak trainer as a example, how about... Ash Ketchum.

So Ash beats Viola, hooray, and moves on to fight Dampe the Ghost gym leader in Unfortunately the ghost leader beats him so Ash can not get the Mourn badge as his second badge. Ash wants to try again but with him aware of the official team composition Dampe will not be able to adequately test Ash's bravery and instead Ash could effectively force break a win. Which won't fully display his SKILL only his determination.

So Ash goes back to Campier town and fights Xerosic for the Ambition Badge. Xerosic loses and Ash now has his second badge.

With the new badge Ash goes back to Dampe for a rematch. Seeing Ash may have improved with a new milestone reached, Dampe fights Ash and loses, giving Ash the Mourn badge.

This goes on until Ash fights Passie for the seventh badge and looses because he was distracted by her overwhelming... personality. Yeah.

So Ash can not get the Care badge as his last badge, he will have to get the badge from somewhere else, in this case Luminere City's Bonnie.

Except Bonnie wins, now Ash has no gyms remaining he can face. Thus his pokemon adventure is over.

But Ash says screw that and moves to Alola and starts the league all over because no one can tell him what to do.

And this is why Ash has a small but dedicated fan base in the PTC trainer fanclub.

This is also why people do not just force break there way into the champion ships.
And now you know all the new gym leaders.

Y'know what's interesting? Kartana, a Pokemon whose level-up movepool consists almost entirely of swording and sword-related techniques, gets Defog by level-up. Which would imply that fog can be cleared with a sufficiently powerful sword strike.

I propose combining Planny's Confusion with Honedge's Night Slash to form a "Vacuum Cut" and suck away the steam.

You look at the fog and fire, clearlly the terrain advantage has left you, perhaps you could overpower it somehow.

You nod to Planny who's horn glows as it begans its telepathic onslaught on Viola's vivillion, the bug pokemon watching as its world twitches and changes before its eyes. Granted with light screen up, such a attack was a mere distraction.

However, as Planny teleported above the bug, Honedge's blade glistening black, a distraction was exactly was what it was supposed to do.

Planny stabbed Vivillion with the dark blade, causing the bug pokemon to jerk erratically, its silver going while, burning powder crashing into the walls as the arena's traps were blown away.

Alexa's Vivillion charged Planny, its wings red as it hits Planny off with a solid struggle bug to the face.

Planny hits the ropes feet first glaring at the floating bugs. Viola's flight pattern erratic as the pokemon's damage forces it to struggle to keep up.

The rain has also finally stopped, which is great because your outfits all sticky from the downpour. You wish you didn't leave your umbrella with sebastian.
