Sorry about being late on this episode, I've been busy with vidija gaems and I kept waking up late, so whoops.

Last time on EDQ we did SCIENCE, found out our son may have lycanthropy, and are making a horrible abomination to nature with the help of Lorriana!

You yawn quite loudly and begin to blink your eyes slowly... You feel... Fur.
You wake up to see Chrysoula hugging you, and a passed out Lorriana in a armchair... She seems to have been reading and studying all night.
Oh, right. You were trying to figure out how to fix a certain part of the experiment's bone structure.

You also find that you are... Or were, sleeping on top of Chrysoula's breasts, which have some competition with Elizabeth's. Elizabeth's aren't as big (but are getting there!), but they are soft (for a half-dragon). Chrysoula's though are soft, plump, well-shaped, furry... Comfortable...

Fucking Flames is putting furfaggotry into your head. You sigh in minor disgust, and begin to get up.

...You know, have you ever wondered something?

What?

...Well... Why exactly does Chryoula likes hugging things while she sleeps? I mean, just saying.

...Who knows. Maybe she has a stuffed doll she once had or something.

I doubt it... But eh...

You can see it, can't you?

...Just a little. Anyways... What were we doing again?

...Working. Until we passed out.

Yeah...

You hear the bell ring, and Chrysoula says something and hugs you tighter. Judging from the way her closed eyes might be saying, she's having a dream. She also seems to be drooling...
And has you in a deathgrip. It's like every time you wake up some woman is hugging and clinging onto you and trying to suffocate you.

You sigh, and hear the servant walk down. He knocks onto the door of the library and enters... Your chief servant.

"Sir?"

"What?"

"Your erh... Wife is outside. And has abducted your children and is cuddling with them."

"Really?"

"...If reports are to be accurate, she's also kidnapped the regent."

"Oh."

"...Either way, your wife is distracting the servants and slaves..."

"Really? How?"

"...Excuse me my lord, but have you ever seen a breasted reptile before?"

You sigh. Of course everyone's staring at your wife's track of land.

"...Goddamn it."

"To be fair sir, they're a national treasure. But enough about women, but a few slaves have tried to escape. You know, of the yuan-ti variety."

"Oh."

"I believe they were assigned to the kitchens and have apparently dug a tunnel into the sewer."

Continued
>>
"Where was this tunnel?"

"Apparently in their hut."

"Who were the slaves?"

"From what we can tell, they were sisters and apparently enslaved during one of your raids. Catholic, and quite zealous."

"Oh."

"They didn't exactly have a high opinion of you after you killed that priest, and discriminated against the catholics, my lord."

"Really?"

"To be fair, no one really did."

"...Nice. Thank you for that."

"...Oh... And your concubine, Vilda, has sent you a letter telling you happy Christmas, and you have gotten a few letters... One group of letters from an elementary school, someone book writer from Florida who met you on a train to Germany or something and put you in a book... Yeah."

"Right. So anything else happening?"

"Well, the Labor Party has apparently... Well, called you out on corrupting the unions from a few years ago and the "overly nationalized media."

"Really now? The Labor Party is taking a stance on it?"

"Well, they claim the middle class is tired of having only positive stories about you, and them trying to spin everything in a positive light. They've also called you out on making the union bosses take a government paycheck and you disposing of the union leaders for the Butler's Union."

"Goddamn it, what's next... Uncorrupt unions? That's a nightmare."

"I also have some erh... Word. They've soared to the most popular party after saying that."

You... Raise an eyebrow.

"So they say something and they just... Boof? Go up to being popular?"

"Well... The Labor Party has plenty of public support but very little government support. The Conservatives on the other hand support the government but have very little public support."

"...So if they just call me out and be... Honest... They become popular?"

"Well... Yes? They have practically 64% support among the people, but record low support with half-dragons and Yuan-Ti."

"I see..."

"Meanwhile, nationalist sympathies are the highest in Yuan-Ti and Half-dragons... Connected? I think so."

"Well, that's nice to know."

"The Labor Party is... Well, it's hard not to like them. Also, just saying... Here's the most recent sexual harassment. It just came in the mail."

"Really?"

"You know, the standard. Twenty feet distance at all times."

"...This is dated from two years ago."

"They take a while to get filled out and sent throughout the positions of government..."

"Oh, right, right... I'll keep the harassment claim in mind."

"...Speaking of sexual harrasement, the two women you tumbled while in the middle of a bath..."

"Wait, how did you know that?"

"...I heard the story."

"Oh.'

"Well, apparently there were signs they were waterboarded and tumbled so hard that... Well, a professional doctor had to be called to stop the bleeding from their privates."

"Are they alright?"
>>
>>965201

"Well... Both are pregnant, but are in comas from the brute trauma. There's also a chance that they won't survive childbirth... Now, onto something more happy and positive."

"Such as?"

"Well, your wife summoning you... And quote for quote... "Read them a bedtime story, as I am too tired."

"...Really?"

Your chief servant just shrugs his shoulders.

"I don't really care if it embarrasses you or not, but I stopped giving a shit about what you do since my boss became a man eating reptile."

"I can't doubt your work ethic..."

"...Anyways, deal with your wife how you will. Want me to make you some breakfast?"

"Sure."

Your chief servant nods and goes up the stairs to make you some food... Delicious, delicious food. He does stop up the stairs though.

"By the way, the Roman Legate's daughter is arriving tomorrow and is expecting a place to stay."
He goes back up the stairs.

What do?

>...You have a lot of important things to do... Go do them.
>Just stay here with Lorriana and Chrysoula.
>...Try to get Chrysoula to roll off the couch and towards Lorriana...

Time to begin project "public relations"!
>>
>>965210
>...You have a lot of important things to do... Go do them
We will need to hide everything useful from that kobold.
>>
>>965255
Or we show her everything. One of the two really...
>>
>>965266
Well I dislike the inherent risk of the other option.

>>965171
I think you fucked up giving permissions to the first Renexizious only char sheet.
>>
>>965268
See the thing is that the kobolds will find out eventually. It would be for the best if we could convince her to help us protect us from conquest / figure out how to release it to the kobold public.
>>
>>965283
It'd be a while because kobolds seem prideful enough to doubt that the surfacers would know about the city on the surface.

I listed getting her aid under:
'Waifu here so Solaire never bothers us for women again and we find a way to keep this under control."
>>965171
Also I already mentioned we did tumble loriana (smug anime face goes her) but we also fixed hybrid guys legs last thread.
>>
We should really go and heal those two women we tumbled.
>>
>>965384
Seconding
>>
>>965384
This.
>>
Just woke up anons.

You decide to go heal those two women you tumbled.

Roll me a 1d20+4 for necromancy healing.
+2 if you can apologize for semi-waterboarding them in your dragotaur form.
>>
Rolled 12 + 6 (1d20 + 6)

How would fauna react to plant people?
And can plant people have plant related powers?
Like black dragons have necromantic shit?
>>
12+6=18

Good Success!

You apologize and heal up the pregnant women, and they seem to be waking up when you leave.

You have a few other things to do...

>Deal with the Labor Party. They're becoming a little TOO popular, not to mention they aren't nationalist at all...
>Deal with your piss poor public relations.
>Deal with getting a living quarters for the kobold legate's daughter and how much information you'll give her.
>...That's enough work for one day. Mutate some people in your lab.
>...You know, you should probably get to know the slaves you impregnated with your superior seed. They will be having your children after all.

We can limit the information she'll have access to and open it up as we win her favor more and more.
>>
You decide to get a living quarter for the legate's daughter...

Just reminding you we need to get the guy... A fuckton of slaves. I don't remember how many, honestly.

Oh, right.

Where will she stay?

>Get her a fancy hotel to stay at. It would help local business too.
>Get her a guest room to stay in.

We need to Latinize our palace anyways.

Also we should remember to head back to D&D dimension.

You get the legate's daughter a latinized room... Seems quite comfortable.

You also run into Kryos outside.

"Hey Renexizious."

"Hi."

"You want to hang out at all? You know, go get a beer or something?"

"Mind if I ask why?"

Kryos shrugs his huge shoulders.

"Well, no reason at all. We're friends, and I was curious if you had free time."

Actions

>Sure, a beer or two sounds good.

>>
>>966199
Wasnt she a teen like several weeks ago? I thought she would be a young adult by now. Maybe around 20[/spoiler
>>
>>966205
You don't really have any factories producing it so it's not really a commercial good.

"Well, sure. Mind if I bring my daughter Renexizia?"

"I mean, I guess you can."

You nod and go to find your daughter...

After a bit you find Renexizia being held (along with Maria, Revenaris, and Joan.) by Elizabeth. Tightly.
They also seem to be sleeping, but Joan is attempting to escape.
You also can't help but stare at your wife's rather large breasts... They're like mini-mountains...

Actions

>Rescue your children from Elizabeth!
>...It's probably best not to bother her.
>...She's not even covered in blankets or money. Order the slaves to get her treasure from the bedroom and to give her a little pile. Or just say fuck it and order them to bring the entire treasury to her. Also, demand they bring a lot of blankets.

Minor Success

"Liz? Come on, wake up."

She lazily opens one eye, and smiles at seeing you.

"...I was kind of wondering if you could put the children down."

She raises her eye curiously.

"Why?" Her loud and massive voice echos.

"Well... You've been holding them hostage for many hours now, and even Joan is trying to escape. You should let them go so we can go for a walk or something... Besides, your almost done with your pregnancy, so I promise we'll do things with your really... Nice... Tracks of land soon. Did I forget to mention they look nice? I mean, come on. We'll have romantic dinners by the moonlight, long walks... Tumbling..."

She seems to enjoy all of that... And seems to be flattered by your compliment.

"Well... I considered seeing a doctor about them... I feel a little worried. But the children are fine in my grasp... Besides, they're so cute and small... For God's sake, they're so innocent, one could hardly imagine most of them could kill thousands. Not to mention their adorable eyes..."

Goddamn it, she's dawwing over her children. She seems flattered enough that she's willing to hear more reasons to let them down.

"You know Ren, I barely understand why I didn't spend more time with them. I mean, I used to argue that they grew up so fast, but now... I mean, Revenaris wants me to read him stories and he's one of the oldest... God, it's adorable and cute..."

"Well... You did have nearly over a dozen children."

"...Many more, maybe in the future. Hopefully they're all as adorable as the ones in my hand..."

She smiles kindly and sweetly...

Roll me a 1d20+4 to continue arguing with her.

+3 if you can continue to compliment her and flatter her.
+2 if you can give her some more reasons to let them go.
+1 if you remind her she'll probably have a lot more children with you.

"Liz... It's adorable to see you coddling them like this but I want to spend some time with them. Besides, we'll have plenty more children and maybe soon we can spend time together like a big happy draconic family... A big family get together, if you will."

She smiles at this..

"That sounds nice, Ren. Well... I think I'll let them go..."

"Thank you."

"Only if you give me a kiss though."

"Oh, of course."

You give her a kiss on the tooth, and she puts the children down gently.

"...I love you Ren. Never forget that, ok?"

"Alright."

"Would you care if I ask what your doing right now? I don't really have much to do besides talk."

You decide to get all of your kids...

You also bring along some bloodwine for Maria, and you tell them to follow.

After a bit you head back to Kryos, and see that... Hans? And Sherman? Not to mention... Victor? All of them seem to be coming along.

As you approach with your children, you very well hints of regret from Kryos, disappointment from Hans, and a look from Sherman that suggests both "fuck you" and "fucking kids" in one. Sherman however seems to have flashbacks to when he was an ambassador and how you intimidated the shit out of him back then... Fun times, honestly. You can't believe you stopped, his reaction was priceless.

Your kids however, seem excited to be with you. Particularly Revenaris, the biggest and strongest of the bunch.

Actions

Insofar she's actually shown an interest in it.

Nurture their talents and involve them in our empire.
>>
>>966551
We should just keep on indoctrinating Renexizia into science.

As for Joan I'm not sure. Although I just realized two of our kids are named after French people even though Liz is extremely bigoted towards France
>>
>>966551
>>966544
You've just reminded me of something; what would you guys think about going communist? I don't mean believing that whole "workers control the means of production, all are equal, blah blah blah" bit but rather the idea of a "state = company / worker = resident".

If we are smart about it we can take advantage of one of the few things we have a massive surplus of, people, more effectively.

I would refer to the soviet union during the early Stalin years; the 20's / 30's. Where in Stalin made use of the massive population of the soviet union at places like Magnitogorsk to quickly industrialise.

Admittedly we don't have to go as far as the soviet union. A state capitalism is far better than a entirely planned economy in the long term, not to mention being more acceptable to the population.
>>
>>966562
Ya know since we have Liz stubby legs maybe we can give Renexizia the genius mutation.
Also maybe make a cabinet position for Maria?
Head of wildlife and natural resources.
And maybe animal rights.
>>966568
I have an inherent distrust of communism because I have an inherent distrust of people and we have no meaningful way to make sure people don't abuse the system.
>>
>>966568
>See's going communist
Eww

>Sees the rest of the post
Stuff like that I can agree upon.
>>
>>966575
We have a great way of stopping people from abusing the system!

We pass our evil, sexually charged, demonic control mind onto our children if we die remember? If all of our successors will be controlled by us then the risk of corruption at the top is null.

This in turn means we can crack down on corruption using our overarching powers.

And anyhow, we can de-communalise later, when we feel we have improved our industries and infrastructure sufficiently.

Better yet, we could just do my plan B; pass a law saying the unemployed have an obligation to perform labour for the state, assuming they can't get a job (with a period after being fired before this comes into effect and such). Then we just give them all pickaxes, shovels and wheel barrows before pointing at any obstacles before us.

>>966577
There is nothing wrong in communism; it's just humanity that is fucked...

Still I am glad you can see my point.

That second one in particular is quite good. Since they had an interview with an american who moved there in the early years and he gives a good idea of what it was really like.
>>
>>966628
Didn't mean to say interview, they had interviewed him but we don't see that. Rather we get quotations and a dramatised reenactment of some of his memories.
>>
>>966628
I'm fine with plan B.
Also we should do research into making the limb regrowth mutagen cheaper.
>>
>>966635
Plan B odd to go across okay. If we are going to try for this sort of thing, we should see about also getting as many surveyors, geologists, prospectors and other such individuals to inspect our lands for undeveloped resources.
>>
>>966651
Good idea Satan.
We should also be getting back a report on the resources in Reykjavik.

Now where is OP I wonder.
>>966484
Are you playing vidya again?
It'd be nice if you warn us before you die.
>>
>>966568
So, because we're talking about the economy, I'm gonna spill some facts. Most of this isn't too important.

About 20% of the industry in your nation is managed by the government.
75% of the industry in your nation is small business or small brands in mostly the same market and from different countries and cultures, meaning a VERY competitive marketplace, to the point that mercenaries are common place to protect against industrial sabotage. There are also very little regulations or rules, and foreign businesses have found Sweden to be a very popular place, and thanks to corrupt unions, worker's rights are "forgotten" about quite commonly among the bigger competitors. This corruption however does in fact source back to you, giving you more money in your pocket and a quite loyal market with heavy nationalistic tendencies, both abroad and local.
5% of the industry is managed by wealthy tycoons, most of which is simply the very lucrative Siberian Farming, Mining, and Woodcutting, which has been known to be extremely cut-throat against it's competition and has begun to branch out to minor factories. In this percentage however, only a mere 33% of the tycoons are overseas, coming from either Germany or America.

Workers Rights are actually rarely violated but with little to no repercussion to it, and thanks to the lack of workers due to the draft and wars, most businesses are increasing their pay and safety to fight competition, so in practice, your pay and safety of workers is only a little bit lower compared to the rest of the first world.

Stockholm, Paris, and Rome enjoys the greatest working conditions, with the lowest being Hansodr, Moscow, and Riga.

The average factory worker's pay is considered to be middle class, and is only going up due to the lack of trained factory workers due to drafting, and most factory workers enjoy great job security.

If anons want, I could move onto military conditions, or tell you why Riga, Moscow, and Hansodr have the worst working conditions.

"Hey, Joan? Maria? I'll spend time with you later, ok? Just run off for now."

They sigh, a little disappointed, and walk off. Your friends seem quite relieved...

"So, are we walking or driving?"

"I'm walking to the bar, mostly because I'm too big to fit in a car. I'd be lucky if I can fit in the door..."

You nod, and get into a car with Sherman, Victor, and Hans. Renexizia and Revenaris squeeze in just barely...

What do anons?

Also, resources we should look towards exploiting first are electricity, metals, oil and food.

We should therefore focus on creating hydroelectric dams, reservoirs and such. To support expansions to our farmlands, to generate power and to generally develop our lands.

In the case of metals and oil, we can attempt to get foreign investment and then pay them back over time.

If we can become independent of these critical resources, then we can begin considering additional expansions into refined goods or into other raw materials.

I can probably tell why Hansodr and Riga have awful working conditions. Claw is too much of an autist and Julius was too busy LARPing as a evil necromancer. Moscow I'm not sure but I think we left a Dwarf in charge of it.

What I'm more interested in however is the condition of our army.

Oh and please move on to military conditions.

We should give Hansodr to someone else.

So long as no one attacks the power plants, yeah they are fairly good power sources. God help us if we ever have to deal with tiberium leak.

Hansodr mostly have terrible conditions because most factory machines are not meant for lycanthrope workers, and because there's actually very little government oversight.
Riga... Well, Riga is a surprise.

Moscow is just Moscow, and hasn't changed too much from it's communist routes, and there's a fuckton of corporate espionage and sabotage going on in Russia.

Your military is considered third rate, and has poor training and discipline.

The best soldiers in the world are currently a toss up between the USA, Germany, and Japan.

In your empire, the best and most loyal troops come from Serbia, but they are known to be fiercely independent and they make up 15% of your army.
Most Serbians in addition consider themselves a separate entity to Sweden, which is technically true. Their ruler however has record low popularity.
In second place is Finland, with a record of 10% of the army hailing from Finland.

The best soldiers with the lowest popularity of you is from France and Italy. Combined, they make 20% of the army.

Average conditions in the army is relatively poor, with low pay and officers with superiority complexes thanks to their often half-dragon nature. Your average soldier has a shovel and breastwork equipment, a Autokarbiner 12, and the Lahti L-35 pistol, which preforms exceedingly in artic conditions and is commonly made in Finland.

Your tanks are considered to be quite decent, and of superior quality to most tanks. The Americans and Germans however, greatly outclass you.

Your mages are considered to be very good, if not the best in the world. They however have a tendency to avoid war professions and factory jobs.

Your officers are considered to be above average, with a notable spirit of charging into battle with only a sword and pistol. Combined with their half-dragon mutations, they are considered quite prestigious and respected greatly by the populace and are surprisingly effective.

Greece is considered to have the best and highest trained officer corp in the world.
Germany is considered to have the best tanks and highest trained infantry in the world.
America is considered to have the best marine core and air, with a tie with Germany for best trained infantry. They are also slightly better then Britain in the Navy department.
Britain is considered to have the second best navy in the world.
China is also considered to have the most soldiers in the world.
Japan is considered to have the most prestigious warriors in the world, and are infamous for their infantry to not use firearms but rather charge with melee weapons. They are also rumored to use magic to assist them in melee and to avoid firearm projectiles.
You are considered to have the best mages in the world, and the third most amount of infantry in the world, with second place being America and first being China.

Now, just going to actually do things.

>>966784
Claw does not leave a trail of slime in his human form and looks normal in his human form.
>>
>>966800
Well now we need to increase training and discipline in our normal troops.
We should have officers actually train their troops.
Those with high discipline and training get rewarded.

Maybe give them the opportunity for becoming elite forces or something?
>>
>>966812
We could consider raising the standards of our troops. Since only those of a disciplined and loyal nature would actually be bothered to put the effort in the pass. Not to mention that it would free up workers for our factories...

Another idea would be to get rid of conscription outside of wartime or reducing the service period. It would free up population and result in only the willing being a part of the army, generally.

Lastly, we could start using women in non-combat roles; medical, administrative, clerical and other such work. Not to mention as pilots for our planes. Allowing for the other two ideas to be done with lesser negatives.
>>
>>966836
We should also be careful about sending people out of the military.
The lack of workers is what keeps those currently working from getting shat on.
>>
Just finishing up, that the Germans have the second best officer corp.

You decide to talk to your friend Hans.

"Hey Hans... You know, we haven't exactly talked for a year."

"It's been a while, eh?"

"Yeah. Mind if I ask what you've been doing?"

"Mostly preparing for my retirement and heading back to my village. I'm getting a little old."

"Really?"

"Yep... Can't believe I'm technically sixty now."

"...Holy shit, really?"

"Yeah... Mostly just been training your personal guard, that sort of thing."

"You look like your in your thirties."

"Really? Huh."

"...Anyways, mind if I ask what you've been up to?"

"Eh... Mostly just been putting together a car. A 1951 Cadillac, to be precise. Straight from Detroit too."

"You like cars?"

"Are you kidding? I fucking love them. Back when I was younger, Sweden didn't even have cars... We had carriages still."

"Really?"

"Yeah. Thanks to all this industry coming in, we actually have cars. Wasn't like this back in the twenties."

"Huh."

"Anyways... Heard you got yourself... What, three wives?"

"Two, technically. A third belongs to my head."

"...That's... A little weird, I'll admit. You still a catholic?"

"...I prefer not to say."

"Huh. Anyways, you hear about the German's enchantment machine?"

"...Enchantment machine?"

"...You don't read car magazines? The Germans came up with a way to mass produce vehicles and equipment with enchantments. Closely guarded secret... Apparently it's been around since the Nazis were in power."

"Really? You know, I never really did read what happened to the Nazis in the end."

"...Well, you probably know that Hitler killed himself, his staff was executed by the Russians, and the British put Kasier Wilhelm II on the throne until he died of old age. Then his son Wolfgang came along and he got killed by an assassin, then the new guy... The uncle of Wolfgang, that sort of thing. Next thing you know, the new Kaiser declares the German Reich to use electors in noble positions so someone barely even qualified like him won't take over."

"Really?"

"From what I hear, the new Kaiser is surprisingly competent and quite peaceful. Just dislikes foreigners and other races a bit though."

"Really?"

"Yeah... A few rumors going around about him being an ex-Nazi too."

"...Oh."

"...Anyways, I fucking love this car, the 1950 Buick Roadmaster... Great car. Not as good as a Cadillac, but still."

"Huh, yeah."

Actions

Not entirely true; no company can really lower their standards of pay or safety without losing workers now, since they will go to companies which haven't done so yet.

However, we should be careful like you say.

How about we redefine our countries conscription law, to mean more than just military service? Raw labour for example is something we could use and it would work out like Plan B.

"What were you saying earlier, about an enchantment machine?"

"Well, not much is known honestly... The Nazis apparently used it towards the end of the war. You read about how towards the end the German Tiger was known to be nearly invincible to bazookas and explosives, and somehow could ford rivers with ease? Or how one Tiger nearly wiped out an entire platoon of American paratroopers?"

"I read a little bit about them."

"Well, the Germans enchanted their tanks towards the end... Didn't really hit mass production, but those Tiger tanks that have been floating around since the end of the war have mostly been bought up by the Americans or captured by the Soviets..."

"Really?"

"...Wouldn't you want a tank that couldn't take damage from bazookas and anti-tank projectiles? They're practically invincible... Unless the enchantment gets overloaded, which requires at least... Fifty tanks firing at roughly the same time to do so. Which is rare."

"Shit... They sound fucking tough."

"Ever heard off the Panzermaus Mauler?"

"...No?"

"Well, it was apparently the biggest tank in the entire war... Never deployed, and could carry nearly twenty soldiers in its cargo, and had a cannon that fired shells big enough to level buildings. It was huge... From what I remember, it took nearly thirty Germans to drive it around, it had MG-42s on nearly all of it's flanks... Not to mention the Germans put a fucking HOWITZER on the top of it to add even more explosive power... I think in total it had nearly thirty MG-42 positions, a howitzer, a small mortar, a flamethrower on two of it's sides... And a 200mm cannon that could blow up a house and it's yard in a single shot. Not to mention that 120mm howitizer, and two 37mm cannons on the flanks."

"...How do you know all of this?"

"It's in a museum in Germany. Never got tested in combat, mind you... It's fucking huge."

Actions

>...I fucking want that tank. I want it, really bad.
>It's just a tank...
>...Don't the Germans have a factory here? Do you think they use the machinery there?

Mate, mate, mate... Battleships are still a thing in this universe, not to mention heavy tanks.

>>
>>966980
Yeah but 60-80 people in one tank?
That's overkill.
>>
>>966985
Nah, it's over kill when you need that many to just reload the main gun. What 30 people to drive it around is, is a small mobile garrison for what is essentially a huge mobile base / gun battery.
>>
>>966997
Give us a year and we could probably make something superior.

Like a spider tank with railguns and Gauss rifles.
>>
"So why did it never get deployed?"

"...It was very hard to move. You couldn't put it on roads without the weight severely damaging the road, so to move you'd have to attach it to a train and... Well, the war was over by the time they figured out you could only really fucking move it by railroad. The tank was basically a battleship on land... You should really see it sometime, it's fucking awesome."

"...I don't doubt that, but I could probably just open it like a tin can."

He smirks.

"Right, forgot you were a dragon... Anyways, you should really come with me to visit a tank museum. I think we have a replica of a Tiger Tank here in Stockholm."

"Eeeh..."

"Come on, you don't want to see the tank that nearly conquered the world?"

Actions

>...What's with you and tanks anyways? Honestly...

Soider tanks are pretty gimmicky. Just the logic behind doesn't make much sense like weight dispersion. Good old tracks and probably hover vehicles are the way to go.

Clearly we should attach a tank to a glider and work from there, so we can air drop in armoured support with greater mobility.

Because they are inherently different concepts.

A plane generally fills the role of highly mobile but low resilience firepower, interdiction or reconnaissance.

A tank generally fills the role of low mobility but highly resilient firepower, breakthroughs and anti-hard targets (e,g bunkers).

Many nations designed air-deployable tanks. Few involving gliders directly.

What you might be thinking of is the WW 2 British military's use of gliders to deploy troops during the D-day invasion. Used partly thanks to their ease of production.

"Right... Anyways, thanks for apologizing... Anyways, we're here."

The car pulls up to the bar, and everyone begins to get out...

You all go into the bar and you take get a table.

"...You know, how the hell is Kryos supposed to take a seat in here?"

"I don't know, honestly... For fuck's sake, he's huge now. Not to mention he smells terrible." says Victor.

"Come on, let's just get some mead."

You take a seat, and Hans takes out a pack of cards.

"You play blackjack at all?"

"Me?"

"Yeah."

"Not particularly..."

Hans shrugs, and Revenaris takes a seat next to you, and Renexizia sits next to her. A large section of the table is left for Kryos who still hasn't gotten here.

"...But yeah, Kryos has to live outside now. Probably due to his size."

"Really?"

"Yeah. Too big to actually get into the palace, so he just sticks outside."

"How does he get in here?"

"There's a cargo entrance, usually barely gets in and has to crawl his way in."

"Oh."

"Yeah... I don't think he's taken a bath for a few days though. Not to be the gossipy sort."

"So long as we aren't bad talking him."

"No, not at all. Anyways, you feel like learning blackjack while we wait for him?"

"Maybe."

Revenaris gets a mug of mead from a rather attractive waitress... Who's a yuan-ti.

"You know, is it just me, or are most of the waitresses yuan-ti now?"

Sherman looks up from a cigar he's smoking.

"Well, to be fair, they are sexy. Not to mention they can't trip while serving and are remarkably polite. Makes sense to me."

"...Really? Huh."

"Yeah, like how most lycanthropes work in the wild. Or how most elves are good woodcrafters and doctors. Or how dwarves are amazing at factory jobs and smithing."

"...Makes sense."

"Yeah... You know, only thirty years ago did elves actually start appearing. Werewolves were just thought to be myth... Strange times."

"Really? I mean, why are there so many now anyways?"

"Well, werewolves can bite you and turn you into one of them... Elves are great at sneaking... I mean, it's weird honestly."

"Anyways, you hear about the recent rampage downtown?"

"Rampage?"

"Haven't heard about it? It's a rather interesting tale."

Continuing in next post.
>>
>>967315
>Sherman
Don't you mean Victor?

"What happened downtown?"

"Well, some werewolf's daughter got mugged and shot by an elf, and her dad went fucking berserk. Tore the elf a new one, and went into the streets just in a fucking rampage from what I hear. Killed nearly thirty guys with his bare claws and ate two of them."

"...Holy fuck."

"Yeah. Guy turned himself in crying from what I hear."

"...He just went out berserk as hell?"

"Yeah. Immigrant from Romania apparently." Sherman says.

"...Honestly, I kind of miss the states. We didn't really have this many races there and not as many could kill me in a fashion like here." Says Victor.

"So says the international criminal."

"Well... It's true... I miss my ranch."

"Your from the states?" Says Sherman.

"Yeah."

"Same here."

"I could tell by the Texan accent."

The conversation goes into small chat, and some beer is brought over to you.

It seems like everyone is drinking heavily, and Revenaris seems to be barely drinking at all. Renexizia seem to dislike the alcohol, and to both of their credit, they seem to be staying silent.

"That's nice."

She smiles cheerfully and Hans decides to speak up.

"Yeah... Hell, us humans are only 70% of the entire population of Sweden. We're predicted to become a minority in only thirty years too... At least, in the region of Sweden. Not the entire empire."

"...Really?"

"Yeah... Can't lie that I don't really like that. Hell, half dragons can have kids faster then us and more of them... I'd be lying if I said I was alright with becoming a minority for Odin's sake."

"Hey, come on. I don't like it either." says Victor.

"...Eeeh... If it was a race like the dwarves or werewolves or minotaurs or anything strange like that becoming a majority, we'll talk."

"Right... Anyways, when's Kryos supposed to get here?"

"A few minutes."

"Great. Now, let's just get a drink or two."

Revenaris joins in on the conversation, and states he does prefer humans over most other races, but doesn't really care in the end.

Kryos crawls in, and makes his way to the table. He does take up quite a bit of room and does smell rather terrible.

You easily beat everyone at cards, even Sherman... It seems Victor betted on him winning and Hans betted on you winning, as you see them exchanging money afterwards.

You drink a little bit, and continue to anxiously walk around the perimeter... You even light a cigarette to take the nerve off. There's just something eerie about the night. Everything's been going so well, and you've encountered almost no resistance.

You hear in the middle of your smoke a scream, and the sound of someone falling on dirt... This begins to sound the alarm in the barracks, which you've come up with.

You proudly smoke and crush the cigarette under your boot. You could go after the Vietcong who's no doubt disorganized, terrified, and surprised... Or you can let your troops deal with it.

All you have is a pistol and your bare hands, but luckily for you, half-dragons are notably hard to kill with bullets...
From the sound of it, it sounds like a small raiding party of twelve... Three of which are trapped in one of your pit traps.

A sudden surprise attack with your pistol could in theory get them running away panicked, and into your traps... Or you can breathe fire, which would probably do that just as well, if not better. It would however, likely set the jungle on fire and make all these non-lethal traps suddenly lethal...

Hey we should cross a human with one of these if we can.
>>
>>969525
As much as I love making extremophile humans. We should focus on just making humans breed faster, survive longer, etc.

A few things I think we should work out;

1) A improved human formula, that stops or slows degeneration of the physical form and mind thanks to age. Effectively making them "immortal" or closer to point (can still be killed in combat, disease, injury, etc).

2) Removing the wisdom teeth, the little toe and all those other little genetic hangovers from early humans.

3) Enhancing the mind; links into the first point, if we can keep the brain as fluid as it is during youth then humans can continue to learn effectively their entire lives. Greatly lowering the pressure to educate well and fast.
>>
>>969555
1.I was already contemplating a mutagen for extended life.
I already figured out how it might work.
2.Seems easy enough
3.Easy enough
We can probably just put all this in the R.E.M and call it a Mark 2 version.

And note that it isn't an extremophile it's just very durable in hostile environments.

And having such creatures would be very helpful for our space programs.
Also such a form would allow us to go into places like deserts and not die.
>>
>>969569
I suppose so, though it's method of surviving (essentially hibernation but better) isn't suited to what we need. Still a step in the right direction.

Speaking of a step in the right direction; Antarctica. There is a species of moth or some shit there that survives being frozen solid during winter as a survival mechanism. If we can get that, then we can have cryostasis work for space.
>>
>>969581
Gotta grab all these special animals.

Also we still need to help Richard with the inbreeding problem his citizens have.
>>

>>
>>969673
I'm fine with keeping the little toe.
I don't see how it's a bad thing.
Maybe we should give people that second eyelid some animals have that is somewhat see through and covers and protects the eyes.
>>
>>969673
>>969685
The current human foot's little toe is a remnant of our tree climbing past. Where we needed to grip trees with our feet; at which time it functioned more like a thumb.

These days, it remains because there is no evolutionary pressures on humanity to get rid of it. However, it has been very, very, very slowly disappearing even by evolutionary standards.

As to the secondary eye lid. That would be smart, though if we can get people to accept that then I would like to splice some yuan-ti in. For that second set of arms.

Political;

1) Presence of extremist parties; Draconia Firma, elven dominion loyalists / cadres, bio-purists, nationalists of conquered nations, etc.

Draconia Firma can be delt with to some ease considering their respect for us. Failing that we will have to improve the other races to make their party line of being the "Chosen race" and superior seem illogical.

The elven dominion is difficult but common support can be eliminated by reducing reasons to dislike the government, us and our policies.

The bio-purists are quite a difficult one but given enough time, propaganda and logical arguments they will become a minority. Failing that we will have to confront them head on and show they are wrong.

Nationalists will fade over time. As they lose their coherent identity and fuse with our primary culture.

2) The general sluggishness of our government; the massive size of the bureaucracy that exists stops our citizens from really receiving their rights (e.g the amount of paper work to get a gun).

Social

1) The discrimination against elves, as needed as it may be, is severely harming to their continued health, prosperity and integration.

2) As mentioned earlier in thread, some of our citizens may rampage out of control. Efforts and means must be in place to contain and control such individuals; anger management classes and police trained to capture them would be wise.

3) The continued existence of national identity's outside of "Swedish". Resulting in lowered productivity, loyalty and other such side effects. Can be dealt with over time but focus on it would result in some degree of relief in areas of crime, military staffing and such.

Economic

1) The lack of worker-favouring regulations, not always a bad thing but in this case, not a particularly good one.

2) Continued development of a 1% in our nation. Focus should be towards anti-monopoly laws and other such measures. If not fixed we risk the companies being too powerful to stop.

3) High pollution levels, can be solved by improving farming efficiency, afforestation, greater focus on non-carbon-emitting power plants and other such techniques. (Perhaps begin carbon regulation via taxation?)

When QM will be ready to play, he needs time both to sleep and to prepare his games. And to work. And to play vidya. And to chill in front of the chimney fire, cat on lap and scottish whiskey in the palm.

As said I think we should get a cabinet member for environmental shit.

Also we'll either need to speed up our bearucracy (like with technology or something) or down size it.

Also let's remember there's another major elven Dominion base for us to raid.

If any more bases of operation exist we might find out there.

Bureaucracy being slow is like water being wet. The trick is to do what the TSA does; make it look like something is actually being done.

The simple fact is, without massive banks of servers and computers (plus people trained to use and maintain both these things) we can't really massively improve our system. Merely remove bottle necks and shit.

We should probably get round to dealing with that base. Perhaps even use it as a testing ground for our special forces projects...
>>
>>969908
Why don't we make a trophy unit of enhanced soldiers?
One from each race currently in our kingdom?
Test them out by sending them at the base?

We can also parade them around for appearances

+1, we must accelerate the avening of the digital era in the Empire.

Hey. Why not to develop nuclear energy? Not uranium shit, more safer Thorium. Or Draconic Thorium. A well-managed nuclear facility is good ecologically compared to oil or coal. And the nuclear garbage can be feeded to our magical dragon :)

>>969916
Yes, make them feel they are part of the deal too.
>>
>>969925
I said before we should search for radioactive materials for the mutagenic properties.

It'd be useful.
>>
>>969925
>>969908
Things I've noted
So air conditioners, pollution and ozone depletion are things we can currently curb so it doesn't become a real problem.

Also
We have computers so we can move on to doing things like sequencing the human genome which should help with mutagenic research.
>>
>>969916
That would be smart, it would certainly lower racial tensions and allow us to look into their abilities further.

>>969925
If we are going to bother with nuclear we might as well start more of those "R" reactors. Given their nature as a near perfect power source.
>>
>>969978
Sequencing the human genome is a huge investment but would also allow for a greater effort towards curing disease that effect humans. Thanks to a better understanding of their innate biology.

However we would be better off spending that money in areas we know we can receive returns in. Like creating a better navy or improving infrastructure.

Sorry about being dead for an entire day, I woke up at 5 in the afternoon and had work.

Critical Success!

You grab one by the foot, lunging low to his boot, and slam him into his friend... You hear a CRACK and see that you've broken both of their arms with the force you've slammed them with, and that the two of them have fallen unconscious. You turn around to glare at a nearby Vietcong soldier, and punch him right in the face, breaking his nose and sending him to the ground.

The rest of the Vietcong seem quiet intimidated.

Roll me a 1d20+5 to intimidate the shit out of them.
+4 if you can think of a fancy way to beat up the nearest guy or finish off the guy you just knocked out.

Back for a bit, sorry about not being able to update, my schedule has been fucked up from work and I'm trying to schedule time for EDQ.

I'll probably continue this in two days or tommorow, depending if I have time or not, sorry anons.

That's fine.
Merry Christmas QM.
>>
>>973347
Fair enough, I've gotten some cheap steam games and will be entertained.

I would like to wish a happy Christmas (or other holidays) to all.

Merry Christmas QM!

Thanks senpai.

Anyways, this thread has been archived and my schedule should be going back to usual in a day or two, after the holiday celebrations are done.

Also, been thinking of some quest ideas.
>>
>>983102
What sort of quest ideas, QM?
>>
>>983445
These are some quest ideas that were brought up in the past.

A reboot of Conquistador Quest. Unlikely because QM doesn't know a lot about pre-columbian America.

A rogue trader quest

A rogue trader quest that takes place in EDQ's universe, probably in the future where we're in space.

QM mentioned a Kobold Civ quest involving a dragon.

I brought up a quest as a Roman governor on the frontier in Gaul or something.

I think those are all the tertiary quests we've talked about.

What if I told you...
This thread isn't archived.

I would love a Rogue Trader quest.
It can have what is cool in EDQ: discovery and latitude to do what we want to do.
