Ugh, your legs are so sore. Dancing can really take it out of you.

But alas, here we were, another day, last day in fact before the match with Glenn Curtiss. Griselda was quick to find you in the lockerrooms as you all dressed up for the day. “Ellie. Come by the briefing room around 5, alright?” You nod at that. She wants to formulate a plan. You hope that her arm has fully healed over though, you don't want her to be overexerting herself.

You sigh, it's so frustrating.

Whatever though. Everyone was getting ready packing up their things for the flight out to the match locale. Most tanks had finished their repairs thanks to the funds you scrounged up for the team. Even the King Tiger won't be sitting this one out thanks to the girls finding the money for the turret. And hopefully by the time you leave, your Cromwell will be out of the conversion lanes.

But for now, you were just getting ready for today. “Off to work then, Ellie?” asks Josephina as you brush your hair.

“Nah,” you say. Your crew look at you, surprised. “What? I can take a vacation day every once in a while. There's stuff to do!” you declare.

Winona grins. “Well, meet me at the garage and we can get working if you want!” You nod, and let Winona run off on her own.

“I'll be taking a day off too,” says Ingrid. “Be at the batting cages.”

“What, so you can practice how you're going to look stupid in front of scouts?” Ingrid puffs her cheeks out at Stack's remark, glaring at her. “Just saying! You swing a bat like turtles run. Ingrid huffs, taking her bag and walking off. “Hey, wait up for me! I'll be with you later, Ingrid!”

“Whatever, you midget!” Ingrid yells back.

You roll your eyes, then gently place your hat atop your head. Right, time to get working...

Not working. But working anyway.

> Embark on a Subquest (The Happy Brainwave)

You arrive at the lockup where Winona's husk has been stored to find her currently wheeling around some armor plates. “Hey, Ellie!” She tosses you a boiler suit for you to wear. “I'd get changed! This is really dirty work you know?”

“Right, right.” You walk around the side to see her Panzer IV chassis. It appears to going along nicely, if slowly. Winona so far still is lacking an engine, a gun (or a pair of guns) and everything else one needs for a tank. But the armor is coming along... smoothly. All over the lockup though you find posters of tanks of all kinds, both production and prototypical. “Uh. What's this?” you point to a very ugly bulbous looking thing, like a hull grew a balloon with a gun sticking out of it.

“That's a TV-8,” says Winona. “Christie actually owns a functioning example. I was thinking I could maybe the aesthetic of the hull off the gun turret, cuz what a TV-8 is that it's amphibious... and it's also nuclear powered!” That is... huh. “But yeah, we should get to work. I'm thinking now we can cast the armor, wait for that to get finished until we can source the engine.”

“Do you have an engine in mind?” you ask.

“I'm talking with people,” she says. “So far, things have actually been quite easy for some reason. I can't put my finger on it but it seems like everybody is saying yes to everything I want.” Really? Interesting. “Oh well. Just uh- hold on a second. I'll get my tools.”

With that, Winona steps out. You decide now's a good time to change since she's away and won't comment on your body like she usually does when you're changing in front of her. You shudder, ugh. You strip off your jacket and blouse, then pull down your skirt. “Hey, Ellie-”

“AH!” You cover yourself, flinching in surprise. Oh thank God, it's just Athena at the door. You'd have killed yourself if it were a boy! “Oh- Athena, what-”

“Oh, thanks, I guess.” You smile at Athena as she walks in, placing her bag down and looking over at the husk. “Didn't think you'd care for Unlimited.”

“Nah, not really,” she says. “But hey, I'm Chief Engineer, I gotta show you how things are done from time to time.” Fair point. You fold your arms and watch as she examines every nook and cranny of the chassis. “Well, the chassis is at least in good shape. Has Winona decided on what she wants to build for this thing?”

“Think so, but you'd probably have to ask her.” Athena nods, shoving her hands in her pockets. “Tessa not around?”

“Nah, she's covering for us,” says Athena. “Is Griselda healing okay?”

“Judging by how she's walking around and giving orders again, I'd say she's wanting to get into tomorrow's match.” Athena frowns a little, nodding slowly. “But hey, don't worry. She's a tough girl. She can handle it.” You hope.

“Yeah.”

Winona steps in. “Oh, Athena! Nice to see you! Come to help?” Athena nods. “Great, more the merrier! What I need from you guys right now is to help connect the electrics based on this plan that I have for now.” She pulls up a print of the electrical plan for the tank. Not a lot of detail to it except for where the wires should go. “I'll be busy sourcing the engine but I'll be around to help in a little bit, okay?”

“Alright,” you say. Winona smiles, then walks to the side.

“Right. I'm gonna go ahead and get the wires together, Ellie,” says Athena. “Can I trust you to secure the wires in place as I plant them?”

You nod. “I'll do my best.” Athena takes up the wire spools, then starts unraveling wire for what you assume to be for stuff like the starter, electric turret, gun traverse, stuff like that. As she lays down the wires, you use temporary plastic clamps to press them down so they don't get everywhere and get tangled up with other wires.

This takes some hours to do, and by the time you're complete, you've wired up the electrics for almost half the tank. Athena wipes some sweat off of her brow, and you yourself fan yourself. This summer heat is unbearable. You look to Winona as she shoves her cellphone in her pocket, grinning. “So?”

“Okay. So I couldn't acquire ourselves a Perkins CV-12 V12 like I said, right?” Oh, she did say that. Athena looks thoroughly confused. “But I got the next best thing.”

“What's the next best thing?” asks Athena, cautiously.

“I was talking to a guy from an aviation company.” Athena looks away in shock. “No, no! Hear me out! Look. He says there are spare jet engines we can use for our Unlimited tank at relatively decent prices. I have acquired one of them to use.”

“You bought a jet engine to stick into a tank,” says Athena. “What is it?”

Winona tilts on her feet, fidgeting. “It MIGHT be a... surplus Pratt and Whitney JT8D.” A what?

“You bought a jet engine designed specifically for jets.” Winona nods. Athena sighs, rubbing her nose. “Winona, I came here to help, I know I did. I hate to criticize. But do you know how- do you know how much work is gonna be needed to convert that for use? Look at how long your chassis is and think about how long a JT8D engine is! These are the same engines they use in the JSDF for their Kawasaki C-1s. They produce massive amounts of brake horsepower. And they are absolutely heavy! You'd need a suspension equivalent to God's mattress to hold that in this chassis which I guarantee you will need to make almost twice as long and wide just to hold it.”

Winona holds up a hand in defense. “Now hang on, that- that doesn't mean we're being counted out. That's the best I could do with the money I have.”

“You couldn't use like a regular engine from another tank?” asks Athena.

“No, because everyone else converts to modern engines in Unlimited. Using a regular engine in a regular tank in an Unlimited Match is like showing up with a musket to Omaha Beach!” says Winona.

“You- you have-” Athena is finding it difficult to find words. “This is completely cockeyed!”

> “Athena is right. You need a different engine.”

“Athena could put it more nicely.” Athena quiets herself, folding her arms. “But she is right. Jet engines are designed to produce thrust, not the kinetic energy for driving wheels. Your tank would have to be propelled purely by jet power with no reverse or any kind of ability to turn.” Winona nods, prodding at her fingers a little. “That's just putting it politely. You can still refund the engine, right?”

“Yeah, I guess I can,” says Winona a bit sadly.

> - 5 MORALE TO WINONA

“They did mention having smaller engines so I could probably-”

“Look for something smaller for sure,” says Athena. “Converting to drive wheels will be difficult, but it's not impossible, and I will help to make it reality. We just have to think realistically.” Winona nods, carefully kicking at the floor. “Winona, this is your first Unlimited build, I imagine it won't be the last. Maybe try and think a little smaller.”

“Okay, I get it,” says Winona. “So... Schmalturm with a Challenger 2's gun?”

“Impossible,” says Athena. Winona frowns deeply. “I'm just telling you to be realistic.”

“Well, okay...” Winona sighs. “Here's what we'll do. We'll stick the armor on first, then I can go back and revise the plans, okay?” You all nod. “Athena, can you get the lifter from the back?” Athena nods, heading out. “Hm...”

“Already running into growing pains?” you ask.

“My engineering talent isn't as good as I thought it was,” says Winona. “And trying to work with a budget... well- teams that have to work on a budget are completely non-existent in Unlimited anyway so. Yeah.” She shrugs.

"Don't be afraid to think big, that's what Unlimited's about, but it's also about knowing when to impose your own limits on a design. Perrine might look like a madwoman to most, but do you think she designs her tanks without rhyme or reason? No, she looks at what she has available and considers what kind of vehicle they would best serve, and she cuts or doesn't go after parts that won't contribute to that goal. Do that."
>>
> “Keep thinking big, Winona.”

“Keep thinking big, Winona. Just make sure you know your own limits. I'm sure Perrine Hoboart knows her own.”

“Right.” Winona gives you a thumbs up. “Alright!” Athena comes wheeling out the heavy lifter. “Right. We'll have some forklifts for this, and we'll ease the armor on gently, then we can just fix the entire thing on, okay?” You and Athena nod. “Right, Athena, let's get this thing strapped down and ready!”

The armor plates were fastened to the chassis in relatively simple fashion. Though you questioned why Winona would do this before getting the engine or the gun, she reasoned to you that she can cut out holes or weld over bits that needed to be modified in the process. You won't argue with her work ethic, that's for sure. Though you do admit, you worry for how much free time she has in the first place. Hopefully none of it is at the expense of her job.

Regardless, it was around 4 O'Clock that you finally fastened all the armor plates to the chassis. The three of you were covered in grease, oil, and muck, but you did it. And now that little Panzer IV looked ready to go. All it needed was the suspension, engine, and the gun to go with it. “I think we've done good today!” says Winona. “How about we go for some ice cream? My treat.”

>>
>>1024292
It'll also get fucked on rough terrain, and the fact that tank combat environment is also rather hostile to the bloon you need to hover.
>>
>>1024292
Since when was unlimited about being sensible?

Criticism is fair but I would do it anyway just because it would be very unique to have a relatively agile amphibious tank force.
>>
>>1024272
>> “Sure, let's go!”
>>
>>1024329
Agile on relatively flat open ground that is. You're going to run into problems because the air cushion required for you to float is gonna have to be quite big to keep something as heavy as a tank afloat and stable, limiting your armour and meaning tight terrain will fuck you, Hover tanks would also struggle massively with inclines, because if you start going up one at an angle you sideslip. Plus the fan's going to get in the way of turret traverse.
>>
>>1024374
I was thinking agile on the open water honestly.

Fan? We have a jet engine. That was the basis for this whole idea. Use that.

Yes it is completely stupid. It's unlimited.

You get yourself a nice bowl of strawberry ice cream, while Winona gets herself a banana split, and Athena a very large hot fudge sundae. Still, the three of you are still wearing your dirty suits, and when Nancy the waitress arrives to give you your ice cream, she does kindly say, “The three of you are completely filthy! So sorry, but that's just the truth!”

“Sorry, Nancy,” says Winona. “We were busy working on my Unlimited project today!”

Nancy smiles, holding the empty tray close to her chest. “Well, I suppose your hard work needs a reward. Enjoy yourselves then!” Nancy goes off to tend to other customers, who are sitting further away from all of you. Understandable. You all must reek.

“You guys know that's Nancy from the student council right?” asks Athena.

“Is she?” you ask.

“Yeah. She's the elite gunner in Gertrude's tank,” says Athena. “Hell, she's one of the best gunners here on LGA.”

Winona gasps. “I should ask her for advice!” You slap her chest as she stands her, forcing her back down.

“You think Griselda will push herself?” you ask.

“Of course she will,” says Athena. “Griselda gives 100% to everything. She's like a Terminator except... not a Terminator. She's going to throw life and limb at the problem until she solves it. Doesn't know when to relax. Really, it's actually quite a contrast from when I knew her in Middle School. She was a lot more laidback and relaxed.” She sighs, munching on her ice cream. “Something about freshman year changed her. All those people giving her grief about being on the team and being an officer just because she was Gertrude's sister.”

“Did people give her a lot of grief?” you ask.

“Mostly the new girls,” says Athena. “I told Griselda to tell Gertrude, but Gris didn't want to raise a fuss. I guess she figured if Gertrude found out, she'd only make things worse. And you know how much losing the ITL to Kursk broke her.” You remain quiet at that. “Look. Glenn Curtiss should be easy. They're a discount JWC. They're a Skycraft school, not Tankery.”

“Yeah, I guess. Any advice though?” you ask.

“Just stick to what you normally do. But be careful, I heard about your spy interrogation thing. What makes you so sure that she told you her entire roster?” asks Athena. You shrug. You don't know. “I've seen Curtiss' matches, they love using artillery. They'll definitely bank more for the match, especially against you to try and force you into uncomfortable positions.”

“Hey, Ellie.” Griselda waves you into the hangar. The tanks are already set on carriages, ready to be transported to planes to take them off to the match locale. “Good to see you, you're right on time.” You see that her arm is still done up in a sling. “Come on, let's go. The match locale isn't too bad this time thankfully. And I think we've caught a bit of a double-edged break. They're focusing a lot on artillery so... if we just swarm them we'll have the edge. But that requires us getting close first of course.”

“Yeah, um. Griselda?” She turns to you, blinking. “How's the arm?” you ask.

“It's fine,” she says. “Why?”

“Are you sure?”

She tilts your head. “Positive. It's only in the sling to keep my sister happy.” She snorts, dismissive. “Look, I'm fine, everyone's fine. Iris is already waiting in the briefing room for us.” She keeps on going, and you reluctantly follow after her. “Hadley Carver is gonna be pretty important to us in that Jackson in the long run. We've got a bit of mobile slugging AT now that can take heavy tanks. It won't be much now but next time facing JWC? That'll be big.”

You poke her arm, making her yelp in pain. She glares at you, holding it. “A little,” you say bluntly.

“Well, it's fine. It'll be better by the time we're facing them down. Come on.” She huffs, stepping into the breifing room. Iris is already there, ready and waiting to go. “Alright, everyone. Look at all dem skycancer. They're going to use everything as spotters, so if we take them out thinkgs should go a lot easier.
>>
>>1025106
Rushing seems the right choice. If we hang back, they will shell us to bits and destroy the bridges.

Bridges being particularly problematic. I don't think they can repair those overnight.

Only caveat is whether heavy tanks should rush or snipe. On day 1 at least we have the high ground.
>>
>>1025106
I wait for Danon on this one.

That said we should remember to heed Athena's advice and be wary of more heavy stuff and incomplete lists.
>>
>>1025106
>> A fast offensive strike should cripple them.
We should send the heavy tanks to one bridge distract/fight them at range.

The fast tanks will go to the other side of the bridges to flank them. We will also have the Hellcat and M36 split off to try and go for the rear like we did with the Bison last match.
>>
>>1025157
It's now that I sort of regret not getting more river traversing equipment for the tanks, or the occasional Amphibious Tank.
>>
>>1025106
>You poke her arm, making her yelp in pain. She glares at you, holding it.

Honestly, not a good sign...

> A fast offensive strike should cripple them.

River looks to be deep and we cant ford those. We'll have to charge those bridges and cross them before the shell us on them.
>>
4 bridges and artillery. This will go to Hell very fast if we aren't aggressive enough.

Schteel? What are the rules on using recon aircraft it Tankery?
>>
>>1025176
They better be flying tanks and part of the Tankery team, because otherwise it's illegal.

Either way, if they take out those bridges, our tanks are pretty much fucked.

We need to keep a mobile posture, because of the numbers of artillery but we also need to be careful in regards to how and when we cross those bridges. Curtiss will inevitably have the pre-ranged and I wouldn't be surprised if in keeping with their dishonourable nature there just happened to be a few spotter planes from their school conducting leisure flights overhead.

I suggest we split our force into three, fast, medium and heavy elements, which will follow the same route but obviously seperated by their speeds. This will prevent them from concentrating a barrage on a single element of our team without neglecting the others. First we should rush across the bridge over the Penobscot as quickly as possible, hopefully getting both our fast and medium elements across before enemy artillery can be prepared and sighted for barrages, then onto Verona island. At this point the plan will change in one of two ways. If we come under concerted barrages, the Heavy element will pull into the suburban areas to the south of the Eastern Channel Bridge and dig in, while the Medium elements move up to the Route 175 bridge and the fast rushes the Route 1 Bridge. If we are not under heavy fire yet, the Heavy element will push on over the bridge to the Route 46-Route 1 intersection and dig in there.

Mediums job from here on will be to engage and hold the spotting elements of Curtiss' team, while Fast attempt to turn their flank to the North, while Heavy forms a solid fallback position. Once their flank is turned, Heavy will move forward and across the Route 175 bridge and advance through Medium's position. Essentially we will disrupt and disorganise their position and then once they have begun panicking, then move in for the hammerblow. Will provide map in a second.

This.

I really enjoy the matches where we're either going to hard win or hard lose due to something like arty spam, though I would prefer to reach the end.

... As an aside, has it been brought up in-game if we should increase the number of practice days?
>>
>>1025265
I actually prefer matches where the teams aren't quite as gimmicky, like say Sherbrooke, Heinlein or Camp Gagetown. Also because those teams weren't nearly as passive as Curtiss will be or the South American team was, where artillery basically means we have to charge at the enemy with abandon while there's little decision making to second guess the enemy on as the sum of their tactical decisions is usually "dig into ambush positions, pound with arty, ambush when other team comes to kill arty".
>>
>>1025265
I think we should be fine but the leader lied to us about their lineup.

and we have to worry about spotter craft.
>>
>>1025279
Agreed. And I have to be a bit concern about our CP. We are at (and GS might need to verify this because the count is off in the pastebin) 12 points. Thats not a lot for this type of match. We are really going to need to be at the top of our game, unless Ellie trips into a pile of CP in the next 10 minutes.
>>
>>1025298
12's fine. Superior tactical decision making will always trump spamming CP abilities. Just means we need to play things a little more by the book, which is why plan contains contingencies.
>>
>>1025298
CP is primarily used as 'crazy move' shenanigans and against a bunch of SPG there's not much opportunity for that really.
>>
>>1025304
an we only really used intuition which we use sparingly anyway.
>>
> A fast offensive strike should cripple them.

“A fast strike should work well. But we have to consider that the bridge is pre-sighted most likely, and that Glenn Curtiss might have some planes conducting leisure flights overhead.” Everyone nods at that, understanding. They won't play fair if they feel they have the disadvantage for sure. “I dunno. I think your plan is sound, Griselda. Though, I still do kind of worry about the arm.”

“It's fine,” says Griselda. “My fire rate is gonna drop, yeah. But I'm the commander. I'm not made for direct combat anyway. We'll split the team into even thirds when we get there, alright? You all better start packing your kits.” You nod. “Now get outta here.”

You and Iris walk down the hallway, leaving Griselda alone to prepare the plans in better detail. “I worry about her sometimes,” says Iris. “Not healthy to push oneself like that.”

“I'm sure she'll be fine,” you say.

“I hope so. I saw your converted Cromwell earlier today. Very nice looking tank now,” she says with a smile. “You should go see it before it gets stowed away in the plane.”

Admittedly my fear is the more for using it for intuition.

But I also know we use CP for other things. Like breaking out of pins, or other Special moves.

Forgive me, but I am possibly overthinking it. I just know that there is likely going to be a time when we'll need a spare 10. And we won't have it.

It got us into trouble before against someone, I think during the Iris death frenzy match, or the Serafina jobbing match. Can't recall.

True enough, and with more options we get more chances at >Other, which is always interesting.

I just hope they don't do the smart thing and attack our wallets like the last school did. I doubt we could get another 3 mil or so in a week again, unless the last treasure hunter quest gets us the Philosopher's stone, or something.

I'm not suggesting no favors. Let him set the price.

I figure if we open with an offer, he'll want more. If we tell him we want his planes up, he'll say why, we counter with what do you want and negotiate down.
>>
We don't want to get DQ'd.
If Glenn Curtiss wants planes, let them. If they want to break the rules, let them. If they want to get boys involved, let them. We already see way too much of the ones freeloading on our ship. Like, seriously, way too fucking much.
It is their way, not ours. We do Tankery like it is suppossed to be: with tanks, treads, guns and girls of steel.
>>

Its not DQ's for them is a couple of their plane happen to pass by.

We will do the same with 'training exercise' with the boys.

No need to get indebted, or indeed involved, with any boys.

I happen to agree.

That and we don't actually KNOW that they will do this. Its possible, even likely, but its way to quick to do that.

Your new Cromwell was a new and improved Cromwell VIIw now. Heavier armor, new armor layout, all that stuff, while still retaining the six pounder gun. Oleg and crew load it up onto one of the tank transporters alongside the Easy Eight Sherman Janus and the M36 Jackson. “Man,” says Stack. “What a delight!”

“I know,” says Ingrid. “Hopefully that'll give us an edge over Curtiss, maybe even Christie too.”

“We're in the home stretch for the tournament girls,” says Winona. “And that means we're going to need every advantage we can muster! Still though...” Winona sighs, looking at Oliver lovingly as he gets loaded aboard. “Oliver looks so handsome now!”

“I just hope there's more headroom now,” says Josephina. Everyone agrees to that for sure. “But Oliver still, all the same, he's looks great. C'est magnifique!” You smile, nodding to that.

“Do we know what we're doing tomorrow?” asks Ingrid.

“Yeah,” you say. “Fast rush. They're packing lots of arty so we can't stay in one space for too long.”

“Damn,” says Stack. “Well, that's NATO for you.”

> Check in on Griselda one last time.

You leave your crew to go on ahead while you look for Griselda. She's not in her office. Hm? You look around the hangar, and most everyone has already left by now. Hm, not in the showers, not in the lockerrooms either. Oh well, she must have already left by now. You do grab some canned food and some bottled water out of the kitchen to pack for camp. But along the way though, you do find Griselda.

Talking to Gertrude. “And you're sure you can tank tomorrow?” asks Gertrude worriedly. They stand by the side of the main hangar doors.

“Yes. I'm sure, sis,” says Griselda.

“You're sure?” asks Gertrude.

“As sure as I've been the last twenty times you've asked,” Griselda says frustratedly. Gertrude folds her arms, sternly. “You know, Gertrude, maybe if you'd just let me handle things on my own things would go good. You can't micromanage a team that you're not even the Captain of.”

“Griselda, the last thing I want to do is argue about your team,” says Gertrude. “I'm just being a good older sister and checking on you to make sure you're 100%! Why do you have to make things so hard on yourself!?”

“Gee! I don't know!” says Griselda loudly and mockingly. “Maybe it's because you keep smothering me! I- I'm trying to run my goddamn team here, and the last thing I need is you trying to butt your way into things!”

“I'm not trying to butt my way into your stuff, Gris!” yells Gertrude. “I'm just trying to help you! What if you get hurt again!? The last thing Dad needs is a daughter with a crippled arm!”

“Just- JUST SHUT UP!” screams Griselda. Gertrude steps back, shocked. “Fucks sake, Gertrude. I have a match tomorrow, I do not need your shit now! Just shut up and go!” she yells. Gertrude steps back, then turns around and walks off. “AND STAY OUT OF MY FUCKING HANGAR!” Griselda screams after her. Griselda kicks her foot, muttering angrily and loudly and-

She sees you. She steps back, her face completely red.

You sigh, rubbing your head a little in frustration. “You know, Griselda. She's just worried about you.”

“She can worry about me on the sidelines where it doesn't affect me,” she mutters. “You know, I appreciate her taking the time to come by and nurse me and all, that's good quality sister bonding time. But every time she sees an opportunity to try and force me to do something I don't want to do, well, whoop-de-fucking do! Gertrude always did have that thing where she can't keep her nose out of other people's business.”

“Well, this time it's a bit more justified, come on.” She rolls her eyes, huffing. “If I were Gertrude, I'd be concerned for my little sister too. I know you hate being dependent on her, but maybe just let her be the big sis every once in a while, it doesn't hurt.”

“I do let her be the big sis,” she says. “But... I dunno.” She sighs, calming down it seems. “We're just so different now, she and I. I can't believe she ever thought I'd be a good Officer under her last year. Whatever, it's none of your business anyway, Ellie.”

You nod. “You're right. It isn't. But it will be if it affects the team, Griselda.” Griselda blinks, then nods at that. “You gonna come along?”

“I'll be right with you. I need to cool down a little,” she says. Right, that's fair. You get moving along. Denise has rolled up in her Kettenkrad, ready to take you to the match locale. But before you get much further, you hear Griselda say something. Not to anybody in particular. “We can never do Tankery together again.”

You stop, looking back for a second.

Then you shake your head and get back on the Kettenkrad. Tomorrow's the match.

Oh no, look's like either Ellie has to leave, or usurp leadership role from GrisGris! I mean, who ELSE could she be talking about?

But for realises, I'm wondering how the Pool situation will end, since I doubt you can just do a couple quests to fix it. I'm guessing it'll boil over is we actually lose, since that was Griselda's whole hope.

Or if someone let slip that Gertrude hopes she loses, which can certainly sound even worse without any explanation, but who could eveeeeeer do that???

What did she mean with that? Is she saying it to Gertrude, to Ellie or to everyone?

One day or another, hopefully soon, we have to really sit her down and confront her about this. Hopefully with Gertrude.
>>
>>1025978
Her anger? Frustration? Other insubstantial?
>>
>>1025978
This is where we start. If Gertrude really is the root of Griselda's problem then there are things she can only explain. Anything else is out of the window and that is just for Griselda to find it herself.
>>
I actually doubt she was saying it about anyone but Griselda, and this is the Trigger for their social link breaking since we're near the end of tank season. Gearing up for Griselda going nuclear.

And I doubt sitting them down will solve it. Frankly maybe just a punch out on top of the crashed wreck of Cupid and Janus would let them air issues.

The mock tank battle they had solved nothing, and their dad being a stop gap kept them from saying anything else.

And Griselda is right in that we can't just but in and act like we can help. Elodie didn't want her parents giving her money, Winona didn't want help with her insane dream of jet tanks (even if she is probably getting it), and I doubt either fo them would accept another person's input on that.

Well, unless the completion on Winona's quest is accepting money but that seems a weak lesson for that, eh?

Stack's was helping her with her family issues, but she did ask for it so it's fine.

I think the biggest issue is we have to solve it somehow involving tanks. This is important. Like lock them in a slowly sinking tank,m and they can only get out if they work together or something...

Right.

For a while I was worried we wouldn't have time to finish all of the loyalty quests. Though with the depletion of CP and money issues we've been a bit busy lately.

And of course helping Jock out since they were leaving in a month or so, If I recall correctly.
>>
>>1026196
I don't see what equipment or skill can we get from Jock's quest to be honest.
Maybe our MG game will be on point after so much shooting at planes? Increased dodge after dodging so many paint bombs or strafing runs? I don't know.
>>
>>1026222
Nobody ever reaches critical morale levels any more. Any time they get close, they bother Ellie about her love life.
>>
>>1026222
Perhaps more financial support, vis a vis a tank, or cash injection. Sky boys repair teams to help speed up conversion and repairs even faster?

And I mean, there is always the sweet hearted comedy of a training montage as poor Ellie struggles with not getting roped into Jock's failures. Mishaps and shenanigans can be fun too!
>>
>>1026222
We get a boyfriend of course! Hahah-

Nah. We'll get something for sure, but it I doubt it will be better MG skill.

Maybe access to them for some special secret combined arms battle in post season or something? Or he helps win some tourny and gives us mad dosh.

Or he'll j-join us in the girly sport of tankin- ahahahaha, that's just silly.

Though I mean, mechanical bonuses aside, I just want to help the guy. He's helped us out quite a bit, and the dude is in a school for flying but doesn't get to do anything fun.

>>1026234
Funny training shenanigans could help lift spirits too.
>>
>“We can never do Tankery together again.”
I think I've sorta figured it out. She's not having fun, and the thing she once loved and bound both sisters together is now splitting them up and hurt her mentally and physically.

Ellie now has to make Griselda realize Tankery can be fun and bind back both sisters back together.
And build snowmen. Because that's what sisters do nowadays, apparently. Mutual bedroom eyes optional.
