THE GALAXY IS IN TURMOIL!

After the battle over the Forest Moon of Endor, chaos still reigns in a galaxy recovering from the chains of the GALACTIC EMPIRE!

Striking from MANDALORE, the warrior clans march in a new uprising, led by the legendary BOBA FETT!

The NEW REPUBLIC, formerly the REBEL ALLIANCE, struggles to rebuild their former territory!

In the shadows of the UNKNOWN REGIONS, the brilliant GRAND ADMIRAL THRAWN gathers the strength of the IMPERIAL REMNANT!

It is in these times that fortunes may be made, empires may be built, and fates may be spun.

You are ADMIRAL JANUS CAIN, commander of a small warfleet, currently wandering the streets of the Caridan capitol, Dest Mossiot, waiting for sunrise, to speak to your ex-fiance, the Governor of this world.

You are wearing
>Your light armor
You have as weapons
>A green lightsaber, taken from Rahm Kota
>A light blaster
>You left arm, a military grade prosthetic equipped with a grapple
You are accompanied by
>Your Darkeyes, an elite Stormtrooper unit
You have
>1,050,000 liquid credits
>roughly 600,000 in disposable cargo (depending on how well you barter)
>5,000 Stormtroopers with your fleet
>650,000 planetside
>15 AT-ATs, 30 AT-STs and 30 dropships with the fleet
>500, 6000, and 10,000 respectively planetside
>Victory-II Star Destroyer "Blind Man's Gambit"(Flagship), Acclamator "Carrion Hawk," Tartan "Solar Dodger."
>50 TIE fighters, 15 TIE bombers

You take a step out into the warm night of Dest Mossiot, breathing in the clear air. You haven't visited the Capitol in years.

The night life is as bustling as ever. Aircars and landspeeders race through the city, carrying citizens to jobs, to homes. Sirens wail somewhere, as always with cities this large.

Bar takes it, but...

You find a little out-of-the-way dive, the kind of bar that criminals seem to be drawn to like mynocks to cables. It's run by a 501st Vet, who within 10 minutes of you sitting down, has already kicked the ass of 5 separate troublemakers. One of them was a Trandoshan. You /really/ don't want to piss him off, so you order some expensive drinks and tip very well.

It's a pretty chill evening. You all have a few, make a few crass jokes about Rebels, slander that Skywalker kid, etc.

"Sooo. Serious time now," Hitscan slurs, "Who d'ya thinks gonna take over now? I mean, it took Shoov... Peeve... the Emperor to make the entire galaxy run smooth..."

The Mandos, or Thrawn.
>>
>>1035494

>All of the above

In times like this people crave stability and they'll rally behind the most powerful force in their sector, it's the borders that will be fought over once everyone get's settled and we need to figure out where we want to stake our claim
>>
I meant "Who will have the majority of the Galaxy"

"At the moment it's anyone's game, the Emperor kept everything on a tight leash that no one can really make a definitive decision on anything. That includes us. We have the ability to carve out our own home among the systems, and I look forward to doing it with you all by my side."
>>
>>1035494
"Honestly probably no one. The rebels hate the empire so if anyone empire affiliated takes over they will rebel. If the rebels take over they will charge a portion of officers as war criminals and try to execute them, which will cause discontent and fear through the empire affiliated factions and make them want to rebel. Then there are the hutts. They will likely play both sides to gain money and try to add the the discontent. The only faction that is going to be able to take over will be one that is able to appease both sides. Mandos might honestly just work for the highest bidder"
>>
>>1035513

In that case my vote goes to Thrawn

"The Imperial remnant is the faction that has the best solid base, the New Republic is going to be juggling the inclusion of a lot of new members and let's face it a democracy is not the best form of government for consolidating control."
>>
>>1035583
Changing to this.
>>
"Jeez, Hitscan, bit of a question."

You ponder for a moment. Different factions each have their own strengths. And then there are the ones that aren't even in play yet...

"It's anyone's game right now. The Rebs have the people, but they're hopeful fools with no discipline. Thrawn's probably got the best shot, but after two decades under the Empire, worlds aren't exactly going to flock to his arms. The Mandos are insane, and it's hard to throw off a history of mercenary work - who knows if they even remember what loyalty is anymore."

Breeze has been slamming back drinks all night. She's barely even tipsy.

"Don't discount us, boss. We've got as much of a shot as Thrawn, at least."

You laugh.

"Always optimistic, eh?"

She gives a very informal salute.

"Yes, sir!"

"Admiral Janus Cain."

His eyebrow raises - or some approximation of the gesture.

"I... see. Please, allow me a moment."

The bustle increases, not significantly, but you don't miss it.

From the other room, you hear:

"Announcing Admiral Janus Cain!"

You sweep through the door, your officer's cloak twirling behind you.

The main course is being served. Places have been set for you and your Darkeyes.

Mydis is giving you a stare that could kill a Krayt dragon.

why-en-der. (As in, he winds down the path.)

As you walk in, you catch in the corner of your eye that the Bothan servant serving Mydis has slipped something in her drink.

Breeze and Mortician stiffen, too.

"From the coloring and amount, that was Tyewiss Death Powder. Tasteless, slow acting, no antidote," says Mortician.

"Take her!" you call.

You barely reach your blaster before two shots ring through the air. Mortician and Breeze have sunk two blasts into the Bothan's head, and she goes down, dead before she hits the floor.

"THE HELL?!" screams Mydis.

Mortician walks over, and snatches her glass off the table. He sticks a scanner in, and it flashes red twice.

"Chemical composition confirmed. Tyewiss."

Servants drag the corpse away. Mort runs the scanner through the governor's meal as well. It's clean. Another drink comes out.

Mydis is oddly unshaken.
