Welcome back to xenomorph quest! Sorry for the late start! Real life reared its ugly head and fucked me like a cheap whore today. But im back and ready to run for you guys!

Previous thread-http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/qstarchive/1035266/

Last time we infected a hobo, killed his cat in glorious combat and found our dead mom and living siblings! We ate dogs, became a warrior, found a juicy colony and a isolated farm full of moomoos and naive human bumpkins.

Cast and crew!
Grimalkin-Head honcho/Warrior
10hp
5pts armor
+physically strong (can easily overpower trained humans and large animals)
+Enhanced combat ability (+1 to personal combat rolls)
+Enhanced resin (sets quicker, sets stronger)
+THE BOSS (+2 to any roll involving Grimalkin and another/other xenos)
-bulky and slow (for a xeno. -1 against fast opponents)

Twitch-Hunter
8hp
+Extremely fast (+1 to ambush and evasion rolls)
+Enhanced combat ability
+Naturally stealthy (+1 to personall stealth rolls)
+Terrifying (civilian humans WILL panic in close quarters)
-average strength (can overpower human civilians and medium animals)
+Enhanced resin
+Enhanced tracking ability (+1 to tracking rolls)

Bob-Drone
8hp
+physically strong
+Enhanced resin
+Skilled hive builder (Hive improvements with Bob involved take less time)
-workaholic (will work until he drops if you let him)
-bulky and slow

You are Grimalkin, you are currently enjoying a xeno cuddle pile with the exhausted Bob, the industrious drone worked himself to exhaustion clearing rubble and laying down resin to further protect the hive. Your hive can now support 30 xenos max!

You stir and glance at the cocoon of half eaten flesh and resin that is Twitch. The Hyperactive xeno is almost finished with his metamorphosis into a Hunter.

Nearby you spy 2 resin coated dogs sealed to the walls. You could implant them for runners or drones if you wanted. You still have 3 small eggs and 1 warrior egg.

Speaking of warriors you observe the comatose bull for a moment. Its belly is swollen to the limit and the aggressive embyro is clearly nearly ready to emerge.

Your goal in mind you curl back into the cuddle pile with Bob, visions of carnage and bloodshed dancing in your head. At night you will venture forth to the farm.

*fast forwarding till nighttime*

You venture out of the cave system, moonlight glinting off your claws and carapace. Bounfing forth between rocks and ravine edges you set a quick pace towards the isolated farm.
You slink over the nearby ridge and take note of the farms layout and potential opportunities.

You see-

-37 cattle
-one truck
-one car
-2 large barns
-Annies pen (prize cow)
-farmhouse-inhabitants- Pa, Mrs.Abel, Billy Abel, Duke (dog)

Your stealth skills could make a shadow look obvious. You are instantly motionless, a faint black smear upon the landscape. Duke relaxes back into slumber with a tires growl and you resume your advance. A quick jab with your tail blade pierces the dogs skull. Only a faint crunch and some light twitching are audible. Continuing on your mission you begin looking for ways to disable the vehicles.

You quickly creep into Billy's room, securing the young man under a thick layer of resin before he even wakes up. One down! Creeping down the stairs you see Pa Abel is still where you last saw him. Sleeping on the recliner, as you creep toward him a floorboard squeaks loudly under your foot. The sharp noise wakes the crotchety old farmer who only has time for a horrified glimpsglimpse of your claws and fangs as hes bound head to toe in thick resin.

Congratulations! You have successfully subdued the Abel family. If you move quickly you can have all three of them back at the hive by sunup.

Slinging all three resin coated bundles over your shoulder you set off back towards the hive.

Securing the unfortunate humans to the wall you place eggs in front of them. The older, weaker humans receiving small eggs while the young healthy human is reserved for the warrior egg. Their screams of terror are quickly silenced by suffocating proboscises.

Twitch exitedly bounds closer to you, deftly leaping over the still sleeping Bob. He excitedly shows you his new form. His claws are large and hooked, perfect for ripping flesh while his tail spike is a vicious barbed hook. Spikes and spines adorn his carapace and his legs are swollen with muscle. Twitch has become a Hunter.

With a pained bellow the implanted bull draws your attention. The skin along its belly stretching to its limits.. and beyond them. With a gory rip the flesh gives way, spilling a thrashing young xeno onto the floor. Ox has been born!

With a thought you direct the rapidly maturing warrior to stand guard at the entrance to the hive. Tearing a leg from the bull he hurries to do your bidding, eager to please.

Leaving the cave at a sprint you head straight towards the farm, racing the coming dawn.

You crest the last ridge within minutes it seems, Twitch settling beside you, tail twitching with nervous energy. You can see several vehicles coming from a good distance away. You may have time to secure a cow or 2 before they arrive.

You and Twitch dash down the hill as fast as you can. You head towards the nearby lot containg several fat healthy cows. As you near the fence Twitch leaps onto your back and springs forward, tail spike extended. One young bull looks up just in time to catch a foot of barbed chitin in the eye. He drops without a sound. You tackle a hefty heifer and make short work of her skull with your inner jaws. Hauling both corpses onto your back you make a VERY labored retreat toward the ridge. You barely clear the lip as the first vehicles pull into the farm.

Propping the bodies against a rock you and Twitch return to watching the Farmhands. 5 have arrived and are headed toward the farmhouse as a group.

The 5 farmhands continue up to the house, occasionally loudly yelling for Mr.Abel. sudden shouts of alarm and horror sound as they find Dukes body, skull split open and lifeless. A panicked yell of "Mr.Abel, Billy, Ma'am?!?!" Is heard.

They begin searching the house. More cries of alaralarms and disgust are heard as they find the leftover resin and missing residents. They quickly file put of the house and begin searching the area. 2 head towards the barns, 2 head towards the Abel familys vehicles, 1 head towards the cattle lot near you. Theyre searching intently.

You slam the Farmhands head into the ground with precise force, knocking him out cold. You quickly restrain him with resin over his mouth and his torso and legs. Hes not going anywhere.

You peak over the ridge and see Twitch but only barely. The elusive and speedy xeno darts and crawls between cover whenever eyes turn in his direction. He quickly reaches the vehicles and sets to work, his hooked claws and vicious tail spike puncturing tires and gas tanks. The farmhands are stuck here with you now.

Dropping to all fours you dash around the ridge, Twitch circling towards you you both take up positions at opposite ends of the barn. One of the farmhands is near you. He (for some reason) is armed with a rusty pitchfork and is gripping it nervously as he checks the stalls for traces of... you but thats ridiculous. You were never in there. Silly human. The other is up in the hay loft digging through piles of loose straw. Not a bright bunch these.

The loud thump of Cletus' s impact prompts Dayle to spin around toward the noise. You take this golden opportunity and step forward, grabbing Dayle by the throat you squeeze tightly... perhaps TOO tightly as his neck snaps like a twig. Shit. Well 2/3 isnt that bad so far.

The clean farmhand only has a moment to process the sight before him before Twitch impacts his torso like a hate fueled blender. Blood and organs landing for yards around as the unfortunate man is nearly torn in half by the energetic xeno. And HES the lucky one.

With all the immense strength of your upper body you sling Dayle at the Farmhand with the phone. You may not know your own strength as the horribly unlucky man recieces 200lbs of sweaty redneck crotch first at 80mph. Even if his head wasnt pulped by the impact hed probably beg for death.

You have successfully stopped col-sec from being notified. Your presence is still unknown. You have cleared the farm of hostiles. You can use straw from the barn and the fireplace in the house to start fires to eliminate evidence.

The farm has 35 cows remaining. Your haul is 2 live humans, 3 dead humans, 2 dead cows. Congratulations!

You give each subdued human a thorough inspection. Poking, prodding and sniffing reveal the one you knocked out on the ridge is superior to "Cletus" in every way except fungus growth. You absently spear Cletus through the throat with your tail spike and begin loading up your haul onto your back. Twitch carries 2 human corpses and you carry 2 dead humans, 1 dead cow and 1 live human, dragging the largr dead cow behind you. You have a feast for your growing hive!!

I'd like to get a few more drones before we start going the queen route seeing as once we go big it's going to be a bitch of a time sneaking around and we still need to scout out the colony.
>>
>>1042912
That's fine, we need to start moving things along for ourselves.
>>
>>1042912
It would also mean we need to upgrade our hive's tunnels if we want to move through right?
>>
>>1042904
> Grimalkin
Also, If we manage to shepherd the cows back to the hills near the lair, we should have at least two Xenos keeping an eye on them at all times.

>>1042912
Ah, but that's what Twitch and his future companions are for. With all of these cows, Grimalkin will be able to reach Queen stage in short order.
>>
>>1042920
Bob has cleared many tunnels that could accomadate a queen sized xeno. Assigning helper drones or upgrading him to Builder will allow advanced construction and hive upgrades.
>>
>>1042929
well we can assign some of the new drones once their ready.
>>
>>1042929
Okay, so I think the general plan is;
> Grimalkin grows to Praetorian.
> Bob grows to Builder.
> Twitch, Ox and new hatchlings herd the cows back home.
> Use the last human as a host for a warrior.
> Turn at least four of the cows into hosts for more drones.
>>

>>
>>1042941
Yup.
>>
>>1042941
sounds solid. lets do it.
>>
>>1042912
I feel we can trust our growing brood to take over. If we can get eggs going that is.

Start building up some hunters and gather up good pack to move into setting up missions on the colony.
>>
> Grimalkin to Praetorian locked in

Arriving back at the hive you stop to gawk at the fully matured Ox that stands before you. A hulking mass of armored plates covers his body. His tail is thick and strong, ending in a tip that is equal parts mace and battle axe. His head is encased in a shell of iron hard chitin. He snorts at you happily and sneaks a chunk of Dayle as you pass by.

Entering the hive you spot several new tunnels and additional rooms. You spot Bob directing a pair of freshly matured drones as they expand a tunnel upwards. Piling the fresh food against a wall you take a moment to consider your ravenous hunger as twitch curls up for a nap with the new warrior. You tear into the larger cow and eat it down to the hooves. You need more food. You need to grow....

Grimalkin is molting into a Praetorian.

You rise from your power nap yawning and stretching happily. The younger warrior seems relieved that you are no longer using his gead as a leg rest. You leap closer to Grimalkins cocoon. Poking it with an inquisitive claw earns you a growl from within.

You take a moment to observe The tireless Bob direct his minions.. ahem "helpers" as they carve out new tunnels and rooms. You estimate the hive could comfortably support 35 xenos.

You have an urge to go exploring. One problem.. you are small. You know just the right companion! Dashing towards the entrance to the hive you see ox still at his post. Youre not sure hes moved. At all. You leap on his back and tap his head with your tail. You wanna gooooo. Get up ox. Sending him thoughts of exploration and danger gets no results. He merely dozes and ignores you. Oh well. He must not want any FOOD. He jumps to his feet. You now have his attention.

You sit around to make sure implantation goes smoothly and the human is properly secured. You finish up just as the Minions and lone warrior return dragging one large cow each. Maybe this wont be so bad.
You quickly have Ox fling 2 of the cows into the queen chamber, listening to the contented munches and slurps. She seems to be better now. You and ox take a bried break to rest and enjoy some well deserved cow while Grimalkin gets her mind together.

I would say that, for the final stages of the Hunter, we could get venom, acid spray, or maybe even the ability to launch spines or quills. Enhanced senses, even beyond his kin, seems obligatory given his station/caste.

For Ox, he could get a second pair of limbs or a second tail, long curving tusks, and maybe an ability to launch huge globs/leugies of acid.

The Drones could become perfectly adapted to working with soil, and can burrow quickly through even tough rock. They might also become, basically, a living communication array, using a mix of pheromones, vibrations and high-frequency sound waves to keep the hive connected across long ranges.

>>1043450

The best warriors learn from their mistakes. This time, hes coming to you and youre ready for him. The mighty eagle dives toward you like a comet, talons like meathooks extended. At the last possible second you roll to the side, bracing your tail as you aim the spike at his heart. Your aim isnt perfect however and you merely cut a deep gash along his chest and belly. He swoops up and away with a screech of pain. Hes coming around for 1 more pass.

Does anyone have addititional ideas for mutations for Twitch? I'm against anything that would make him slower/less stealthy.

How about some strobe flashlight on his tail to disorient enemies? Adaptive camouflage on his skin? A hallucinogenic breath weapon? An additional, weak but dextrous pair of arms to make tool use possible?

so what's your feelings on the husk and boiler xenomorphs?
The husk ones from what I remember from colonial marines were the pale white ones that were blind and only reacted to sounds which they would then close in on and if they found it tear it limb from limb. Also really hard to kill making them decent watchdogs.

The boiler xenomorph was basically a suicide bomber that ran up to a group of enemies then exploded in a huge shower of gore and coated everything around it with his acid blood. Think a giant water ballon... but instead of water it's full of death.
>>
>>1043938

I really like this idea.

He can the the Queen's Prince. Drop facehuggers and eggs places we can't stealth to.

Not so much that as he can pretty much be us from the start of the quest.

He stealths into a big house, resins up the owners and leaves eggs there.

Twitch turns the house into a mini nest then comes back.

Mutation list-
(These are just my pre-built options, im open to new suggestions)

You can mutate to support 2 new upgrades per body type

Body type is your "class". Each class comes with standard mutation upgrades (hp increases, increased damage, etc)

Upgrades/mutations are PERMANENT until the Hive Architect is created. Then Advanced Mutation choices and Advanced construction will be possible.

Runner-
6HP
0 Armor
+Extremely fast (+1 to Ambush and evasion rolls)
+Naturally stealthy (+1 to stealth rolls)
+Enhanced tracking (+1 to tracking rolls
-physically weak (cannot overpower adult humans without ambushing)

Runners can evolve into Hunter or Drones (or you offer a new class and a stat choice from the finished list, must include positive and negative stats)

Hunter-
8hp
+Extremely fast (+1 to ambush and evasion rolls)
+Enhanced combat ability
+Naturally stealthy (+1 to personall stealth rolls)
+Terrifying (civilian humans WILL panic in close quarters)
-average strength (can overpower human civilians and medium animals)
+Enhanced tracking ability (+1 to tracking rolls)

My prebuilts for the Hunter are the Shadow and Slasher but again, you can offer other classes and either you can offer a stat list or I can put one together for that class.

Shadow-
8hp
+Complete stealth (+3 to stealth rolls)
+Ambush hunter (+2 to ambush rolls)
+Infiltration expert (can enter and exit secure locations easily unless the inhabitants are aware of your presence)-average strength (civilan humans and medium animals can be overpowered)
-soft skinned (takes +1 damage in combat)

Slasher-
10hp
+Extremely Fast (+2 to ambush and evasion rolls)
+Combat Expert (+2 to combat rolls)
+Terrifying (will cause civilian humans to panic)
+Piercing blades (can easily penetrate body armor and helmets)
-Bulky blades (-1 to stealth rolls)
-Average strength

Drone-
8hp
+Physically strong (can subdue trained humans from ambush or in combat)
+Stealthy (+1 to stealth rolls)
+Hive construction (can improve the hive and create hive structures)
-Group thinkers (lose intelligence when alone/cut off from hive)

Drones can mutate into Warriors or Builders.

Builder-
10hp
+Advanced construction (hive improvements progress faster)
+physically strong
+Enhanced resin (resin is stronger than normal. Provides more reinforcement)
+multi Limbed (multiple arms increase efficiency and work speed)
-Defensive combat(-2 to combat rolls outside the hive. +2 Inside it)

Warriors-
10hp
3pts armor
+Enhanced combat ability (+1 to combat rolls)
+Physically strong
+Stealthy
-Group thinkers

Builders can mutate into Hive architects and warriors are perhaps the most mutate-able besides drones.

Ill post a complete mutation list in the next thread :)

Ho boy, if Ox ever actually reaches Titan/Colossus size, he'll have to hunt whales and other huge sea creatures in order to feed himself. I guess we better get started on teaching our boy how to swim.

Also, for the option/mutation/upgrade to carry eggs, it might just be easier to have a pouch designed for carrying just the facehuggers. As far as I am aware, the eggs are just protective containers with a supply of nutrients and a kind-of torpor setting to preserve the facehuggers for as long as possible.

You dont see why Twitch makes such a big deal of it. Stealth is easy. Well remaining still is easy for you anyway. You settle your weight and become as immobile as the rocks around you. The smelly humans continue their addled way towards you as they stop every so often to exclaim over a desert weed or particularly shiny rock. You're not even sure you want to eat these humans anymore.

Nevermind you still want to eat them. Theyre slowly coming closer, suddenly one of them points at you, claiming your "shiny blackness" and "rough natural spirit" is "totally righteous".

I really do think we should make the herd a permanent addition to the Hive. Having a stable source of meat and hosts will be invaluable, and the cows are docile enough that the will grow accustomed to the presence of the Xenos.

If we continue exploring and discover other farms and ranches, we can bring home more cattle, maybe allow them to breed so the herd isn't terribly depleted by the Hive's needs.
>>

> Gift to Grimalkin

You have very rarely wanted to kill something as much as you do right noe. These humans have not shut up the entire walk back to the hive. A chorus of "Dude"'s sounds every time they see a member of your hive. You are sorely tempted to offer one of them to the recuperating twitch but you know grimalkin needs the food more to become a queen. You drag the humans into the egg chamber, they seem shocked into silence (finally) by the ancient mummified corpse of the old queen. You snap your tail free of the resin and bow your head low as you present them to your Praetorian. She strides over, her ornate head crest dipping low as she inspects them. A faint feeling of pride energes from her as she congratulates you for your successfull "hunt". You bow your head again and retreat from the chamber as she begins to feed. Screams of terror and "bad trip dude!" Are music to your ears.

The minion rapidly dragging you a freshly killed young bull. You prod twitch awake and you both tear into the meal happily, growls of contentment coming from you both.

Kek. If he/she becomes the second largest member of the Hive, I will laugh.

Ox doesn't count, seeing as he is less of a creature and more of a living siege engine.

>>1046756
There's also the ability to regenerate. That's hella useful in thick combat, or a berserker rage that makes him/her immune to pain or shock. Poisonous or acidic projectiles, like quills or even just globs of spit, would be good too. Of course, there's also spiky, bladed exoskeleton to consider.

If we go full Xeno General route, the ability to produce pheromones that drive the other Xenos into a rampage, or instill unnatural terror in humans and beasts, would be cool. Plus, gotta be able to keep communication and order among the troops, so a way to keep the horde together is important.

As for the trident-tail, it sounds fine, but we'd have to be careful not to get it caught in anything. If we just turn the end of the tail into a fan of quills or launchable spikes, we can have a ranged attack. But then, we probably wouldn't be able to use the tail as a prehensile tool.
>>
>>1046857
What about a tail that can fold into itself to look like a single tail when out of combat, and when in combat we can separate it into the trident tail?

Also regeneration sounds dope, and the razor body too. Maybe have the razors be retractable so we're not catching ourselves on everything all the time.
>>
>>1046870
The spines on the body could be just like a porcupines, laying flat against the body when relaxed, but bristling up when agitated or angry.

You remember the scrawny wild dogs that have been occassionally harassing your cattle. A decent group, around 8, led by a large Alpha male. Killing him could possibly scatter the pack and remove the threat to your herd. Dropping to all fours you bound towarsd where you last saw them.

Quickly catching the scent of the Alpha you follow the trail for miles, through ravines and dry creek beds. The trail mixes with the scent of 7 other dogs. Your tail twitches excitedly as you spot a well used cave entrance in the side of a dry creek

Hours pass. You ponder life, the secrets of the universe, why the hell you arent taller than Bob at least. Important things.

A sudden noise below catches your attention, something is about to leave the cave!

You almost snort in contempt as you sidestep the dogs lunge. Youswipe downward at its skull with your claws and are rewarded with the crunch of pulping bone. You extend your turn into a spin, whipping your tail blade around in a blur of motion. You come to a resting crouch facing the cave entrance and the 4 other hounds. You hiss in satisfaction as you flick a single drop of blood from your tail blade. Almost as one the dogs collapse, heads rolling free.

With a wet CRUNCH and some heavy twitching your inner jaw punches into his brain. You spend a few minutes emptying his skull and savoring the tissue. In my opinion, we should probably get moving. We should remove every trace of our existence and retreat into the forest and turn Grimalkin into a queen there. Otherwise she will be immobile close to a (former) human settlement. Probably in a few days humans will come look for their missing ones and we don't want to be stuck in the area then.
>>
>>1048196

Your hive is located in the "wasteland" and is several hours travel from the human colony. The closest settlement is Abel farms which you have secured. Your chances of accidental discovery are extremely low.
>>
>>1048494
>>1048196
But, surely some day will ask questions what happened to the people we killed.

I as a former Shadowrun player remain paranoid.
>>
>>1048534
well then think like the shadows and use misdirection. If we can find some more doggos we can beat them to a pulp without stabbing them or ripping them apart with our fangs, claws, and tail. Dump a bunch of the bodies around the farm and find pitchforks and crap to stab the dead doggos to make it look like the farm was invaded by a large pack of doggos. Start the fire to make it seem someone left the stove on or something before the doggos attacked and after awhile it caught the house on fire. Could also make some false trails lead away from our home cave to throw off anyone who wants to look deeper into it.

Queens can detach and create those bigass eggsac things on their ass-ends at will. Mobility isn't an issue. She can pack up and leave literally whenever she wanted. Albeit, it would hurt. But if you are comfortable and confident enough to create the eggsac in the first place you won't need to move often, you'll have an entire hive to get shit done for you.

Also a Queen would draw a fuckload of attention if it was ever seen moving around, so going out and doing things is far more risky to do with a queen.
