>How the dungeons will work for newfags to the quest:

To speed up the dungeons I have made a new way to get through them without having to describe every single repetitive floor of the dungeon.

At the beginning of every floor I will assign a number at random, this will be the exploration goal of the floor. To reach this exploration goal, you will need to vote ‘Explore’ and there will be a cumulative roll of the first 3 rolls after I tell you to roll. Once this number is reached you will gain access to the staircase and may choose at any time that is not a battle or other major event to move on to the next floor. Floors pertinent to a mission or with a secret will also gain an exploration goal, this will be cumulative with the previously mentioned goal for the staircase.

For example: the goal for the floor is 45, and the mission/secret of the floor is 70
The first 3 Anons roll an 18, 15, and 17, putting them at 50.
They could decide to continue to explore for the mission or secret, or continue onto the next floor.

After each exploration attempt, I will roll my own dice and an event will occur. It can be anything from a trap, to finding item(s), to even a battle happening. This will count as an event and you will not be able to continue onto the next floor without finishing or escaping from it.

Please note I will not be revealing the numbers that you need to reach unless you gain a skill or ability that can reveal them. As well as some skills that increase the number of rolls, initial starting points, etc.

All of this is subject to change if it doesn’t have its intended effect, to make this quest more fun for both me and you anons, I don’t really want to go “roll to see how the dungeon goes” but it might eventually be necessary with the non story dungeons.

The session will begin at 5 as usual, I'll post what happened last thread and the vote we left off on. You can vote, but I won't post the next part of the story until 5. Although since there are rolls for it I will probably start rolling a bit before 5.

I also will check in occasionally if you fags have any questions

Wading your way through the mud you reach an open room that seems to be empty. Nothing particularly interesting makes itself known to you as you and your team continue your snail’s pace through the muck. Halfway through several Wooper rise from the mud, spewing even more mud everywhere using a mixture of Mud Shot and Mud Sport.

You attempt a dodge, but are immediately hit by another wave of mud, thankfully not as bad as it could have been. Alice on the other hand was able to dodge the brunt of the attack with an instinctual fear of ground moves a Fire type would have, only being slightly splashed by some the mud. Faye, Faye wasn’t so fortunate. She was able to block, but took a head on Mud Shot covering her front in a layer of the muck. You didn’t feel the chill in the air, but you did see your breath as well as the mud all around Faye slowly begin to harden and freeze. She might be more than a little miffed.

Taking the opportunity you dash at the closest Wooper slamming it with your palm, the aura courses through your palms and the delayed force sends the small pokemon flying into the distance. Well that's one gone at least.

With their original target gone Alice and Faye focus their effort on another Wooper Alice launching a beam of psychic energy and hitting its mark. Faye follows up with a Powder Snow, but the Wooper is able to dodge the brunt of it. Unfortunately for it, the bit that did hit froze it solid, leaving the poor water fish Pokemon with a frozen leg and tail as it tries to limp away in an escape.

Your escort attempts a Absorb, but his aim is completely off and it misses its target so badly you can't even tell what the intended target was.

3 more Woopers remain not counting the one attempting an escape. It might be a good idea to stop the escaping one to keep it from getting backup.

The 3 remaining Woopers are only spurred onward by their fallen and injured brethren and send out another wave of Mud Shots, all of which are aimed at your local Fire type; Alice.

You activate your Quick Attack and use it to shove Alice out of the way of the incoming attacks, the combined force of which sends you sailing through the air and into a nearby tree rather forcefully. Gravity, the ever cruel mistress, peals you off of the tree and sends you tumbling down into more mud.

You hiss in pain as you lift yourself from the muck, that was not at all pleasant.

“You feeling ok Luka?” Alice asks concerned.

“Yeah I’m good, I feel more sorry for the Wooper.”

Alice looks at you strangely before realizing how peeved Faye still is by the mud. It might be a good idea to stay out of her way.

There are still 4 Wooper, 1 of which is slowly limping away, possibly to get back up.

Pulling yourself out of the mud you are able to quickly regain your bearings. You jump on the bits of frozen mud before dashing at one of the Woopers and slamming your palm into it, the excess Aura sending it careening into the retreating Wooper. Downing the both of them.

Alice launches a Psybeam at another Wooper, hitting its mark finishing off, while Faye furiously launches another Powder Snow, hitting its mark and dealing some moderate damage to the water fish. Leaving it a 3 on 1.

The Wooper looks around, attempting to find some kind of assistance, before it starts rapidly digging through the mud in an escape attempt.

“Faye!”

Faye responds immediately to your call as she sends another wave of ice spreading all around the muddy ground freezing it. The Wooper unfortunately is caught up in the wave of the cold as it is trapped underneath the hardened mud. Unfortunately you, Alice, and your charge are all stuck leg deep in frozen mud as well.

Mudslide Swamp 5F

Ever deeper into the dungeon you find yourself once again surrounded by even more mud. Honestly you feel like you are more mud than mon right now. Faye at least has only been lightly coated, some of which has been frozen to her person, and her eye twitches occasionally. It would probably be best not to mention it. Alice is more of a midway point between the two of you, a thin coat of mud covers most of her, nowhere near the mud monster you are, but fairly dirty.

Your charge seems relatively unmolested by mud, but he seems to be getting a bit impatient with how slow your team is wading through the swamp. Not like any of you were a water type or anything…

“I agree” Faye said hastily.

“I…” Alice weighs her options of getting stronger, and getting out of all this mud, “Yeah let’s get out of here.”

With the group in agreement you flash your badges and are warped out to the front of the dungeon. Standing in front of the dungeon, still covered in mud, the three of you just sigh as you realize you have a long trek home before you can get clean.
