You decide you hate this god-forsaken rain.
You are Tanis, a young girl who woke up inside a coffin in what you saw was a junkyard, extending almost as far as the eye could see- From the other coffins standing upon their own thrash heaps, which seemed to have been inhabited by girls in a similar situation, you found one other girl-which you named Lilly, after you managed to defend her from a horde of zombies that attacked you during the flash flood caused by the pouring rain-, and were trying to find cover from a mysterious sniper who has so far tried to prevent your group from leaving the scrap filled wasteland into the adjacent town, when you found what seemed to be another girl, by the name of Sarah- who was eating the corpses of zombies, seemingly being the only one in your group which still retains the feeling of hunger.

You are currently trying to leave this gray, dull place, you don´t think you can stand the samey, endless feel of wandering around this place for much longer- you three have agreed to leave your makeshift shelter and try to avoid the gunman, which seems to have been really quiet lately- perhaps he or she has given up?

You...
>Take inventory of what your group has and their current status. How are they feeling? Anything to do before you leave ?
>Draw a map of the wasteland in the mud with what few looks at the place you´ve had from a high spot before being shot at. Try to find a good route to leave before actually doing it.
>It´s now or never- the rain will make it really hard for the shooter to actually see you, since he´s only shot at you in clear weather, you dont think he can see past the pouring rain- And it wont be long before the place is flooded

"We´re moving out now- The rain stops and starts so suddenly that if we don´t run for it right now, we might be wide open to the gunner. Alright, girls?"- You say. You don´t know when you became the leader of the group, though Lilly seems to think of you as some sort of big sister, and Sarah... you´ll have to watch out for her.
" Alright, Tanis! Is your shoulder okay now??" Asks Lilly- Your shoulder was shot by the gunner, though you´re pretty sure she was aiming for your head, you saw the reflection of light on the scope in the nick of time to dodge, but your arm...
"I still can´t move it, but it´ll be okay, don´t worry Lilly. We can´t keep evading the gunner here, and i´m going to need bandages. We´ll find those in the buildings, okay? What about you, Sarah?"
" Oh? Yeah, sure, whatever. As long as we find some food"
You really don´t know what to think about Sarah, on the one hand, she seems content enough to just follow you two around and help with things if she gets help from us too, but you cannot stop thinking about the gruesome sight of her tearing apart zombie flesh with her teeth, gnashing and chomping on it- You zoned out there for a second. There´s no time for this- you grab your crowbar with your good hand and head out as a group, as fast as possible. The rain doesn´t seem to be stopping any time soon, but that´s not a very good indication in this god-forsaken place.
Just where is everyone? Are they all dead?
You can´t stop to think about that now. You head out, and begin running for what you think is the closest exit, jumping over the ditches and other hazardous terrain- the water is rising fast...
You shouldn´t be able to do this with your body as damaged as it is
Don´t think about it
Your arm doesn´t even hurt anymore
Don´t think about it
Are you even alive anymore
Don´t think about it

You don´t even remember if you´ve ever had a family
Shut up
You´re struggling here, in this wasteland, and you´re all going to die. Even if you escape this junkyard, and dont get shot? Those zombies will eventually get you. Or Sarah will.

Shut up

Why don´t you just give up now? It´ll be quicker. After all...
...You´re already dead

Sanity at 30%. Heavy loss incurred

You trip and fall to the ground, on your bad arm, clutching your head with the other. You are dead. You´ve known for a while, but you were in denial. You stop moving, and your eyelids feel heavy... Perhaps it is for the best?
" Tanis, what are you doing? Come on, get up!" Shouts Lilly, visibly scared. You open your eyes a bit- Are they dead, too? It would make sense that you don´t feel hunger or thirst then- even Sarah doesnt feel thirst, though she does feel hunger... But what does it matter now?
" Get your ass up before the water rises too much and you drown, dammit! "Says Sarah- She... stopped running, too? No- she runs back to you, and picks you up, slinging you over her shoulder- huh... perhaps you misjudged her?
You look at Lilly. You remember, then, seeing her face, why you were fighting. Does it really matter if you´re dead?
"I´ll... I´ll walk."
" You better, before the rain clears, or you´ll get shot at"
" Is she okay? Oh god..."
You feel a pang of guilt- you´ll think about these things when you´re all not in danger.
Until then, even if you´re dead, you´ll keep walking.

[[1/2]]
>>
You try your best to keep running- you can feel pain in your arm again, and the leg you tripped with hurts to run on, but you have to keep going.
It feels like a long time, running down the endless, blasted wasteland´s flooding walkways and open areas- but you trudge on through the mud and steel. You cut yourself a couple of times on scraps laying around the ground, cursing the low visibility. Keep going.
Why do you keep going? What are you going to achieve?
You don´t do this for yourself. You do it for them.
Perhaps it would be better if you never had left that coffin. You were safe then
Your mind races back to the image of the broken coffins, the remains inside them, the signs of struggle- No, you need to focus on running, you can´t afford to think about that now.

You think you can see the exit- the buildings...

A heavy fog seems to roll slowly over the area, coming from the ruins of the buildings- from the streets outside of your visibility, impeding it even further. You huddle up together, and slow down a bit, crossing the junkyard´s gate, out of it at last. The rain keeps falling, having soaked you to the bone. You can barely see anything but faint outlines of the buildings closest to you- What is with the weather in this place?.

>Find shelter, quickly.

You are... decently safe now. With all this rain, the zombies won´t be able to track you down. The flood won´t reach here. The gunner won´t be able to shoot at you, you´re on the opposite side from her last spot, and the fog would make it impossible to even guess where you are.

The smell coming from the house... it´s familiar, somehow. You can´t quite place your finger on it, but it feels... homely. Like a good plate of food on the table, and a lit fireplace. A book of stories, and someone to read them to you. A warm bed...
You slowly walk towards the door. You knock with your left hand, twice- and wait at the door. You look at the sky- it´s cloudy, yet the moon can be seen behind the house, as if it was somehow in front of the clouds. This place feels like a dream... but it somehow manages to feel real at the same time. As if, deep down, you had seen this place before...

The door is opened, slowly, and on the other side you can see a face- an adult face, enmarked by pale hair, it´s expresion curious.
" Hello, child. Are you lost, perhaps? I don´t get many visitors around here."
"I... I was..." You had almost forgotten, somehow. You were in the city, in the fog- and then you thought, and you fell.
Where are my friends?
"I was with my friends, in a city ! I need to get back to them, they need my help!"
The woman smiles warmly at you, and you blush slightly- Can you even blush anymore? you thought you couldn´t...
" Oh, I know. Don´t worry, they´re safe... but they´ll need your help soon. Come in" She says, opening the door "I have something for you, before you go"

>Go in, accept whatever the gift is-maybe stay a while?. She seems... nice, and you accepted the help.

You haven´t been warm and comfy in a long time... what would it hurt to stay for a bit? She said they were okay, right? You can just... relax, for a bit. You feel at home, for once, and you want to bask in that feeling.
The woman opens the door fully, and you hug her, apparently surprising her a lot- wait, what is that you´re grabbing? It´s... soft.
"I- uh... what are you doing, child?" She says, red like a tomato.
"Oh" You realize. "S-sorry, i- uh... I tripped" You apologize, blushing intensely as well. That was awkward.
"W... *sigh* Well, come in, then. We don´t have much time before you need to return to the world you left behind, as sad as that place is..." She looks away for a second, her expression distant- Has she been there, before? After whatever happened to the world?

You enter into the house, your mouth agape at the richly decorated furniture that seems to messily clutter up the whole place- the desk is filled with documents, most of them stained by ink, a couple of drawings the woman quickly covers up for some reason, and the fireplace, which is burning wood, and emitting a pleasant warmth. The place gives a messy, but at the same time "lived in" feel. The woman, you notice upon a closer inspection, is very pale- is she, perhaps, also dead? You doubt it- even you seem more alive in this place, strangely.

She produces a small, silver watch from one of the drawers beneath the desk, and places it in your hand.
"This here is very important- Make sure not to lose it, okay?" She tells you, smiling. " It´ll let you keep track of things better, even with the weather down there. And i´m sure you´ll find it has... other uses, when you need it." She finishes, but then turns back to you.
"I... i guess you can stay for a while longer" She says, gesturing to a bed, also covered in papers. " I don´t really mind having someone here... just... hug me again, okay?" She says.
You nod, and sit next to her. It doesn´t take long for you to fall asleep, both of you hugging eachother in the warmth of the fireplace.

You open your eyes slowly, still feeling somewhat warm- but you quickly realize you´re no longer in that house. The world is gray, once again- and you can feel the humidity in the air, and your own soaked body. Was it all a dream?
" Tanis! Thank god, you´re awake!" You hear the concerned cries of Lilly.
" Stand back, kid! We don´t know if that´s really her" You can hear Sarah say- But...
"I´m..." You cough " I´m alright, Sarah"- You hadn´t expected her to be this worried- she keeps surprising you. Maybe you were just... wrong, because you saw her eat the zombies?
" Whatever happened back there, I´m not sure of it. You didn´t seem very "alright" to me, Tanis" She says, glaring straight into your eyes.

She looks away.

"Come on now, do you think i could make Lilly pass throught that twice?" You say, jokingly, trying to lighten up the mood.
" I´m not sure about that, seeing what happened when we were running, I think you already did"
"Alright, alright, I promise i wont" You say, standing up. Your arm feels better now- it´s still wounded, but you can move it now- Does this have anything to do with the dream? You can feel the weight of the watch in your pocket as you walk towards Sarah.
" W-wait, what are you doing? I didn´t-"
"Shut up, you idiot" You say, hugging her.
"I thought i was going to lose you two..."
" That´s what WE were supposed to say!"
You can feel Lilly joining in on the hug. You spend a while like that, until Sarah manages to wriggle out of it.
" Alright, now if you´re done being all lovey-dovey, y- you... Damm, i forgot what i was going to say" Says Sarah, looking away with a fronw on her face.
"So... where are we?"
" We´re in the same part of the city. Rain has stopped, but the fog is still there- we at least weren´t followed. I can´t smell any zombies or anything else"

The watch in your pocket- that woman with the pale hair gave it to you in your dream. Yet it is still in your pocket, even after waking up... You decide to examine it, out in the open. There´s no need to hide it from your teammates, right?
" Huh, what is that, Tanis?"
"It´s a pocket watch, Lilly. To keep track of time. At least, i think it´s a pocket watch"
" It´s really shiny!"
" I´m surprised it´s that clean after all the shit we´ve gone through. You must really like that watch, huh? I saw you reach for your pocket while you were passed out. Must have been some sort of nightmare."
"It was, for a while... but it got better."
You can see on her face she´s still concerned about what happened, even if she doesn´t want to let it on. You feel kind of bad, but you don´t think you should explain everything- it´s like something inside you is telling you that, at least for now, it is better not to.

" Is it still working?" Asks Lilly. Admittedly, you don´t know, but listening closely, you can hear it tick- You open it, and are surprised by it´s strange design. It seems to have replaced the normal numbers with some strange drawings, each of them different- the hands seem to be made of gold, and inside of the watch´s sphere there´s also a strange circle, seemingly linked to each of the hour ones. Both of the watch´s hands seem to be moving counter-clockwise, too.
" Aw, seems like it´s broken... but it´s a really weird clock, isn´t it? What are those drawings? it doesn´t have numbers"
"I... don´t know"
This seems to grab Sarah´s interest " You don´t know? I thought it was your watch"
"Maybe I forgot...? It took me a while to remember my own name, and i´m sure whatever happened back there didn´t help my memory much " You say, sounding a bit unconvinced.
" Hmmm... right, we´ve all forgotten a lot of things. It´s still a weird clock, though." You nod " Expensive looking, too. Maybe your parents were rich? "You don´t know why, but you doubt it.

The three of you hurdle together in a makeshit shelter made from the tables strewn across the floor of the room you´re in- it´s in the first floor of what seems to have been an old apartment building, made of solid concrete. Nothing too fancy- and with the junkyard right next to it, this part of town was probably the slums- Still, it´s nice having a roof over your head.
The three of you huddle together for whatever warmth your corpses may still hold, and the night is uneventful.

You dreamt of nothing, and wake up well rested. The three of you are still bunched up together behind one of the bigger tables that make up your small, makeshift shelter in the first floor of the building. Sarah and Lilly seem to still be asleep- did you all fall asleep together? That could´ve been dangerous, with nobody standing guard. You take in this moment of peace, appreciating the lack of immediate danger, almost not wanting to wake them up- Lilly is smiling, still hugging you in her sleep. Sarah is leaning against you, her expression neutral. Sadly, you´ll have to wake them up- it´s not like you can move without disturbing them right now- but you can stay a bit like this, right?
You should get moving
You wonder what the voice is- Is it the same thing that offered you help? Is it a figment of your imagination? The clock is real, so you know it wasn´t just a dream... But it still seems so surreal. You think back to the woman, and her house- when will you see her again?
You look out of the window, and see that the fog has mostly died down- it´s still there, but you can see through it, now, and there´s no rain falling. Still, it should protect you from the gunner just fine, unless she came really close.
You nudge your companions.
"Girls, wake up. It´s morning again, we need to get moving"
Sarah lets out a loud snore, though you are sure that it´s intentional, since you´re pretty sure she doesn´t snore. Lilly slowly opens her eyes, though, seemingly more willing to listen to you.
" 5 minutes more, moooooom..."
" Where are we going, Tanis?" asks Lilly, brushing her eyes with her sleeves.

>We need to find a better shelter- somewhere without windows, preferably. Something more permanent.

"We need to keep moving- Now that the rain has stopped, and the fog has cleaned up a bit, we need to avoid being stationary, or the gunner might find us"
" In the fog? If she´s close enough to see us, she´s close enough for me to reach her before she does"
"We need to be careful, Sarah- We don´t know where she is, and that means staying in the same spot is dangerous- the fog doesn´t reach the windows of this floor, so if she found a vantage point, she could probably shoot us."
" I thought when we left the junkyard we wouldn´t have to worry about that again... Tanis, how´s your arm?"
You arm... it´s still damaged, but you can more or less move it, though it´d be hard to swing your crowbar with it, so you´ll stick to using just your right arm- you wouldn´t want to damage it further before it heals- if you can even heal anymore. You somehow doubt you´ll be able to heal the arm fully by yourself- but you´ll have to find out a way, when you´re safer. Your little shelter has been enough to pass the night, but you can´t shake the thought that you could have been shot while you slept- whereas before the threat of the zombies was the bigger constant, and the rain a good way to tell when they were coming, the gunner is much the opposite- while the terrain here offers less cover when outside, there is less visibility for her in general if you remain on the street- but who knows what lurks there?

"Let´s get going. Grab your weapons" You say, picking up your crowbar with your good arm. It feels light, lighter than it has any right to be for someone your size. But you´ve grown used to that, by now. Guess being dead has some perks, huh? Even if you´re a moving corpse, you wouldn´t have survived this far if you had to eat. Talking about eating...
"Sarah, how are you feeling? Are you hungry?"
" I´ve been hungry since we left the Junkyard, Tanis, but I´ll manage. Let´s just hope we find something I can eat on the way. You said we were in a hurry, so what are we waiting for?"- That could be a problem- Sarah is the only one of you who still hungers, and you don´t know if it´ll be dangerous for her body to not eat, but it´s probably much safer to keep her well fed.

You try to walk out of the building as silently as you can, taking in as much of your surroundings as possible. The fog grows denser the deeper into the city one goes, and that would be the ideal place to find a more permanent shelter- but for now, you need to find another spot to gather the materials, and that you can find easier- walking across that deep, thick fog would be asking for something to jump on you. You look back towards the Junkyard- strange, you think, it seems to be closer than you remembered. You shiver.
Just what is that place?
Your group walks towards one of the side streets, trash containers flipped over, and glass windows broken- there was a fight here, at some point. You hope it wasn´t recently.

You wander through the foggy streets of the city, passing a couple of ruined buildings, naught remaining but a few walls and stones. The sight is disheartening- will you ever find someone alive, here? You are beggining to doubt it. Has everyone truly died? Is it just this city where the dead walk again, or is it the entire world? It couldn´t be, right? There has to be some survivors, at least. Perhaps this place was just abandoned a long time ago, after a war?

But then, again, what caused the dead to rise in the first place? Why are you moving?.
You´re not sure you want to find out.

After what feels like a couple of hours, lacking a more precise measure of time due to the strangeness of the watch- though it seems to have done a full rotation of one of its hands, so you´ll be refering to that as "an hour", at least until you figure out the workings of the clock, you find yourselves back at the same side street you walked through once before. The same containers flipped over, the same glass shards- But it couldn´t be, right? You make a mark with your crowbar on one of the containers, just to be sure- And begin walking again
" How much longer, Tanis? " Asks Lilly. " My feet are starting to hurt..."
" We are walking in circles, aren´t we?"
"I´m not sure... I hope not, at least. This place is confusing- let´s walk in a straight line, to avoid it, okay?"
" I´m hungry, dammit, couldn´t there at least be something to kill around here?" Grumbles Sarah. You hope you can at least find something for her to eat- you wouldn´t want her to go out alone to hunt.
A couple of rotations of the watch again, and you´re in the same street. The mark is in the container. But how!? You´ve just been walking in a straight line.
" I´ve had it with this damm place already! At least in that Junkyard you felt like you were getting somewhere, even if it was all the same!"
"I don´t understand- we´ve been going in a straight line, it´s impossible!"
" So you truly got lost, huh? I´ve been looking for you for a while..." You hear a voice call out from behind.
Oh
[[1/2]]
>>
You slowly turn to face the voice- Sarah doing so much, much more quickly, and see a girl standing perfectly still, looking straight into your eyes- And in her hands, a pistol.
Your blood runs cold. You shiver, and tighten your grasp on the crowbar. She isn´t aiming at you, though, but at Sarah.
" I see you picked up the monster. Not the wisest of moves, but that makes two of you i´ll need to get rid of before you can become a bigger problem- you´ve already come much further than you should . If you dont resist, I promise not to hurt the little one"
" Bullshit! You think we´re just going to let you kill us? Are you insane?!"
" You aren´t my main target today, eater of the dead. If you help me finish off the one with the watch, I´ll let you off, for now. Deal?"
Sarah looks at you for a second, confused- She couldn´t be thinking... No, you said you were going to trust her. She wouldn´t sell you out like this, right?
"Why? We did nothing to you! Can´t you just leave us alone!?" You scream, Lilly taking cover behind you, weakly holding the rusted sword you gave her. She is shaking with fear.
"Your existance- the fact you are even standing in front of me right now, outside of the Junkyard, shows my failure at dealing with the Necromancer´s enemies. And he does not tolerate failure." The gunner answers, her voice monotone, devoid of emotion. As if reading a script, as if this was something normal, boring for her, even. Just who is she?

Sarah spits at her, growling. " You think i would betray a friend just to run away from you? Get real, lady, we´re 3 on 1, and you can´t shoot fast enough to deal with all of us before we get you"
"I don´t need to. I just need to kill her, but I would rather save bullets"

>Try to convince her to leave you alone- There has to be a way you can all get away from this without fighting, right?
>Say nothing, rush her with your crowbar.

You freeze- Is she really going to kill you? She seems completely determined to do so, and like she´s just waiting for Sarah to say "no" to kill you both... But her gun isn´t aiming at you right now- You might just have enough time to do something- If you can get Sarah´s help with this!

"Really? It would be a shame if you had to- SARAH, NOW!" You scream at the top of you lungs, throwing the crowbar to the best of your ability- It sails through the air, faster than you thought it would go. The gunner quickly moves out of the way, moving to aim at you, but you throw yourself behind one of the containers, taking cover, as Sarah runs towards the girl as fast as she can- But why did she aim at you, if Sarah was the more inmediate threat? Does she not care about getting hit, as long as she gets you?- This is no time to wonder why- You have to survive this!.

Sarah leaps into the air, kicking the gunner´s arm before she manages to fire a shot at you- but she manages to keep hold of the gun, and grabs Sarah´s leg.
" Bad choice, eater of the dead" She states, in the same cold monotone, as she pulls on Sarah´s leg, throwing her to the ground, this time aiming at her head, directly- though Sarah´s speed is enough to move out of the way, the bullet hitting her torso instead, elliciting a grunt of pain- but she keeps moving.
Just how hardy is she ?

For a mere second, you think of fleeing- but Sarah didn´t betray you, no way in hell you´ll betray her. You´re in this together, till the end.
You´ll protect your friends, for as long as you can stand and fight.

You rush towards the gunner, Lilly cowering behind the cover you left behind, clutching the sword you gave her. She´s too scared to look- and you don´t blame her. Sarah and the gunner keep fighting- Sarah has sustained another bullet wound, this time to her stomach, and is bleeding profusely- not that it seems to be bothering her, as she seems to only have gotten angrier from the damage.
" I´m going to enjoy eating you after we´re done, you BITCH!"
The gunner does not respond, but seems too busy fighting Sarah to notice you running up to her, until the last second, where she attempts to pistol whip you- but you were already expecting something like this, and duck under it, following it up with an uppercut to her jaw, knocking her on her back- though she inmediatly adjusts and quickly attempts to get a good shot at you, even if she is visibly bruised- Your punch seems to have cracked a couple of her teeth.
"No you don´t!" You shout, throwing yourself on top on her, and wincing as the shot impacts you in your left arm once again, tearing it out of its socket- But you don´t feel it. You feel nothing more than the impact of your remaining arm into her head- over, and over, and over, as Sarah aids you by kicking her, as she tries to get both of you off her- It doesn´t take long for her cranium to crack, and her head collapses on itself from the force behind the strikes, splattering blood on the ground. You clutch your newly-made stump, and tears roll down your eyes.
You´ve just killed someone
She wanted to kill you. You had no other choice
Your stomach, even though empty, seems to fight against itself- You feel like you want to puke, but your stomach doesn´t have anything to throw out.
You rip the clothes of the gunman off, to bandage your stump with, and prevent more blood loss, even if it´s a token effort. They are soaked in blood.

Lilly slowly approaches you, scared. " Y-your arm... Tanis, it´s..."
Currently lying on the ground, a meter away from you. Your stomach tries to revolt again.

Her arm
Huh? What was that?
Attach her arm. You cannot fight with just one arm.
Attach... the gunner´s arm? But- that´s... That wouldn´t even work would it?.
Your question is answered with silence.
"Sarah, you can eat her if you want- just not in front of Lilly"
" Alright! I was starting to worry you wouldn´t let me"
"But, one thing... Dont eat the left arm"
" The left arm? Why?" She asks, confused. "Wait, you´re going to... try using it yourself? " She shakes her head " Bah, what do I care... but thanks for helping me out there"
"You risked your life for mine. I couldn´t let a... a friend die, you know?" She stops for a second, and you swear you can see a smile, for a moment, before she resumes a bored expression.
" Yeah, whatever Tanis. "
You pick up the gunner´s pistol- You were never knowledgeable about firearms, or at least you can´t remember being- you don´t even know how to reload the thing, but you take the holster and gun anyways. You´ll look for ammo on her clothing when Sarah is done with her, you guess. You try to adjust the holster on with one hand, but it´s trickier than you thought it´d be.
Lilly is eyeing you warily, as if she had seen something in you she hadn´t seen before- But she had seen you fight zombies before, hadn´t she? So why would she be scared of you now? Perhaps it is because the gunner was like us? She mentioned working for some Necromancer... someone who raises the dead? Perhaps the clue as to what happened to the world, and to you, lies there- but he doesn´t seem eager to part with it, if sending people to kill you is any indication. You just hope he won´t send more.

You and Lilly sit next to the container, silently. Slowly, though, Lilly edges closer to you, leaning on your body- visibly tired. You can hear, out of your vision, the gnashing and tearing of flesh- Sarah disposing of the body.

[[1/2]]
>>
She tosses you the arm, once she has finished. She´s completely covered in blood, and you can see... something in between her teeth- you had never gotten a good look at those, but they seem much, much sharper than they should be. Her wounds seem to have healed- perhaps it is what eating does for her? Her healing ability is powerful, but you wouldn´t want to have it- you can´t bring yourself to even think of eating the dead, even if it healed your arm.
" So how are you going to attach that thing to yourself, Tan? Got any string or something like that?"
"I guess i could get some from the gunner´s coat- not like i´m going to catch a disease for using dirty string, anyways- but I´m going to need a needle or something like that..."
" You´re gonna... attach that to your arm?" Asks lilly, in horror. Guess you should´ve done this away from her, too.
"I can´t keep going on armless- It was hard to pin her down even before she shot my arm off, and we need everything we can get to survive."
She nods, still clearly shocked- Did she think you were invincible, before? That you would carry her out of this place, victorious, like a hero in the stories?. You would laugh- it´s clear you aren´t in a story- or at least, not in a happy one.
You search through the pockets of the gunner´s clothing- You find a couple of magazines in her bags, which you don´t know how to use, and a needle and string- Why would she carry this around with her? you wonder- until you find what seems to be a small, patchwork doll in her bag. Was she... making this? Or merely just fixing it? It seems old... is it what she woke up with, in her own coffin?
What made her like she was? She was... alone.
Would you have ended like that if you hadn´t found Lilly and Sarah?.
You shake your head- and get to work, away from your friend´s eyes. You´d rather they dont see you doing this.

You try your best to put the silk thread through the needle with just one hand- holding the needle with your mouth- but it takes you a good while to get it- this is going to be much harder than you thought. You even manage to pinch your tounge on the needle a couple of times before you manage to do it- with the needle and thread ready, you prepare to try and sew the damm thing on- Of course, grabbing it and sewing it proves rather hard with just one arm, so you hold the body-less arm between your legs in a rather... awkward position, that makes you glad Sarah isn´t watching.

It would be nice if the voice helped you now, but it seems to be ignoring your queries. Oh well, you´ll try your best, even if the arm seems dammned insistent on avoiding your needle for some reason. It keeps falling off just when you try to sew it, but you finally manage to sew it on, though admittedly rather shoddily- But you are surprised when you find you can slightly move the index finger of the hand- though not much else. Is the arm damaged, or is it just your shoddy surgery? Probably the latter.
It´ll adapt
Well, that´s reassuring. It would be even moreso if that voice didnt send a chill down you spine every time you heard it- it´s like something... attempting to sound human, yet failing. As if it was a mocking, alien version of a human voice, that hadn´t quite gotten down its pronunciation yet. But it seems intent on helping you- and you are grateful to it for it.

Now that you have two arms, you...

You approach your friends- They look at your "new" arm, in a mix of amazement and disgust, in the case of Lilly, and of amusement, in Sarahs. You try to move it once again, and find that you have some more control over it- you can´t fully close the hand yet, but it seems to be improving- Is the arm getting used to your body, or is it the other way around?
You uneasily move the holster away from the new arm, afraid that it will recognize its previous weapon and use it against you- It can´t, surely, but... you can´t shake the feeling.

" Nice arm. Fits you like a glove " Joke Sarah- God, that was a pretty bad one, but it got a chuckle out of you- And Lilly seems to have liked it, because she laughs, too- It is good to see them happy. It warms your heart- your cold, dead heart, but your heart nonetheless.
"We´ll go back to the old shelter- We can´t really explore the city like this, and it´s getting dark. We got enough stuff to make it better, right?"
" Yeah, with what the bitch had and what we found on our little trip, we should be able to make something decent. We might even be able to make a bonfire and stop being so goddamm cold at night"
"Not sure that would be a good idea... but it sounds tempting"
" I would like to be warm again..."

You head into the old, concrete building´s first floor, where you had peviously spent the night. It´s exactly like you left it, thankfully- the gunner didn´t get in here, it seems.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2llS87avh2w

You three grab the desks and move them a bit further apart from eachother, as to have a bit more space. You place one of the ones previously scattered across the room on the door leading to the stairs- so as to block it from any possible zombie incursions, and gather some of the broken ones into the center of your little circle, breaking them into smaller pieces with your crowbar. This would make a nice fire- you´re pretty sure you´ll be able to light one, at least.
You extend the gunner´s clothing on the ground- it´s not much, but it´ll be better than lying on the floor directly- and her coat seems rather warm. You give it to Lilly to cover herself at night- it´s still stained with blood, but she doesn´t seem to mind anymore. Perhaps you would have, before, but this place has changed you, in what few days you´ve spent in it.
You only hope it has been for the better.
[[1/2]]
>>
The three of you huddle together once again, the events of the day in your mind. It was rough, having to kill someone- the zombies weren´t exactly "people", but the gunner had a mind, as broken as it might have been. The Necromancer... just who is he? And why does he want you dead? The gunner was targetting you specifically... or was that a ruse to get Sarah against you? No, she seemed to value killing you more than surviving... how odd.

You take the watch from your pocket, looking at it... What secrets does it hold? It doesnt count the time, at least normally-it has no way to change the position of the hands, and it rotates in reverse, filled with strange patterns and symbols you dont recognize. Sarah lights the broken pieces of desks on fire, leaving some of them for another occasion- The fire eagerly devours the dry wood, filling the room with smoke- though it leaves through one of the cracks in the ceiling. You move closer to the flame, seeking its warmth- it reminds you of your dream, of the house upon the hill, and the endless blue flowers. Of the pale woman, and of the deal you made... You were given help, but in exchange of what?

These thoughts are the ones that fill your head, and you carry them into your slumber....

----------------

We´re going to Pause here, since i need to eat and walk a bit before my legs go completely asleep. We´ll resume in a while- think maybe 1:30-2 hours?

Meanwhile- how is today´s update feeling, compared to yesterday?
>>
You open your eyes to another place. You expected to see the house on the hill again, but it is not what stands in front of you right now- rather, it looks like you are in a... a mansion, perhaps? Ominous. You can´t quite place your finger on why, but the place seems both familiar and strange- but unlike with the house, this place fills you with dread just looking at the cracked paint on the walls. On the background, you can hear the sound of a music box-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzpgSZZ5WsY&t=717s

God, that is creepy. Whoever made music boxes probably wanted to find a way to creep people out instantly- Or perhaps that is just what movies have conditioned people to associate with music boxes. You can´t remember the last time you saw one... but this room wouldn´t be out of place in one. The walls seem to slightly shrink and grow, as if the place is breathing. You are currently laying on top of a bed, with what seems to be a blood bag to its side- Was this room last inhabitant sick? The place has an old look to it, as if it hasnt been used in a long time...

>>
You decide to take a closer look at the room- It´s a strange place, and rushing into the unknown could very well be a terrible move- And besides, the place is scary enough as it is, who knows what could be outside? Better be prepared.
You take inventory of what you´re carrying, yourself- it seems the gunners pistol and the watch are on your person, and looking beneath the bed you find your trusty crowbar- So your weapons are here, you sigh with relief- At least you aren´t unarmed.

Taking a closer look at the oddly pulsating walls of the room, you poke one of them with your crowbar, and it quivers back, as if struck- then resumes its normal form. This place... it´s definitely alive, in some strange way. The paint covering the walls, you notice, is not cracked at random- the cracks of each wall form a pattern. The one closest to the bed seems to be drawing an eye- as does the one opposite the bed- while the other two walls seem to have the remaining parts of a face distributed at random between them. The one with the door has the mouth, while the other one has the two ears and the nose. How strange... The celing, however, is made out of wooden planks, and seems to have no such imagery. Perhaps the room above does?. The floor of the room doesn´t seem remarkable, either- though some of the planks that make it up are on the wrong orientation, giving the floor a shoddy look, different from the rest of the room- as if it was built later...

You´ve just had a ridiculous idea - The walls seem to be alive, so... Okay, you´re not sure where you´re getting with this. You´re just gonna punch the wall and see what happens- it´s really creeping you out, and you´d rather it stop staring at you with it´s strange paint-crack eyes, dammit. You punch the wall closest to the bed, and it recoils heavily to the impact, emitting a low scream- you shiver.

On second thought, maybe that was not such a good idea, you think, as the walls seem to begin eating the room itself- The walls are closing in on you quickly.

You need to leave the room- The walls are going faster and faster, and you don´t have much time left before they squash you between them like a bug- You rush towards the door, placed on the wall that has ... the... mouth
...
You had never heard something enunciate a silence, but the voice seems to have managed it anyways. For a inhuman voice, it sure seems to be very human in its personality.
You shove your crowbar into the doorframe, trying to pry it open- when the wall suddenly bursts teeth, which launch towards you! You fall backwards in surprise, kicking the one that comes closest to you away- This is not being a nice dream. You miss the pale woman already.
The walls paint peels away, revealing flesh- and the parts drawn on them originally, shift together to the one with the door, forming a full face- and they scream, the eyes crying blood.

"What- what is that?!"
"" - The face in the wall screams in inhuman speech, grating to your ears and mind- as if the mere words were enough to unravel your knowledge of the world
Sanity at 25%

Shoot down it's throat? Seems like it'd do more damage than shooting the fleshy bit.
