The ship sways slightly as it cruises across the turbulent waters. The northern sea. Bitter. Cold. Unforgiving. You gaze across the water and look into the fog that looms over it. You've been at sea for nearly two days and it feels like a week of silence. The four who were wounded during the escape of Blackmoor were tossed over the sides. You cannot feel the last presence of the humans you had marked before and from what you can tell is that they are most likely dead. The sea greets them all with open arms.

The water mists in the air and you feel it's salty coldness around you. The wooden boat creaks as solid footsteps call from behind you. Turning to greet the sound you look upon the empty deck and find the captain staring back. She has her arms behind her back and is swaying back and forth. "Name's Janne if you're wondering. Janne Devereux.

"I wasn't."

"Oh well I guess you're wondering why I came along then?"

"No. I wasn't wondering that eith--"

"Well it's because my dad owned this ship, The Monarch's Tempest, and he always took me on trips with him. I have six brothers and I'm the eldest and he never took any of my brothers on a trip but he wants.. wanted to give one of em the ship. Now I couldn't have that an with your little whatever I might as well escape from pa and get a ship in with it." She says and then takes a deep breath. You stare at her for some moments and shake your head. You feel the calm crisp breeze run against you.

"Is that what you wanted?" You then say finally after staring at her for some time.

"Well.. no. There is more to the story.. but.. Malatish says that some of the supplies had gone missing. Some bread or dried meat." She says and then begins to pace in front of you. "There is still plenty supplies to last the other weeks but most are worried about some trip you're going to some mountains to see some short people. Why you're going to visit midgets in the mountains I have no idea."
>>
>>1072325

You nod absently and turn to look over the side of the ship. Near you is The Red Blade and you can partially make the other two fishing boats behind and the third one seems to be behind them but you're not sure because of the fog. It's, from what you can tell, the morning and most others are asleep not used to their new sleeping schedule. You can see a few faces stumble across the other decks yet it is quiet except the footsteps behind and the moving of water. It's calm.

You turn around and moving pass Janne you get to the grate. Janne follows you and stands with her hands on her hips as she watches you move the grate. You hop down into the small square. You see some signs of movement of the crates as there are some scraping of wood around them. Janne hops down and she moves over to a crate and opens it. There are, as she said, dried meat and bread in the crate though it is about half empty. 1d100 You shake your head in disappointment. It's only been two days and an entire crate was cleaned out along with a barrel of some ale. "Do you know what ports are nearby and who owns them? I would rather not find myself in the hands of the Forlindians again."

"Ah me too... There are a few ports a bit more north though the best of them has to be Triglav. Kaznov, Sovny, Polevrov are all the bays and ports on our way north. They're owned by their own smaller nation which are all in a conglomerate.. some long word." She says as she takes a piece of bread and splits it before biting into it.

"Triglav, what kind of people live there?" You ask as you watch her eat the bread curiously.

"They're not that interesting I guess. They live in more frigid regions and look cool from most of my interactions with them."

"A conglomerate of nations?" You ask as you run your chin. "What reason would they need to unite for? If they are united then they must be united against something else, yes?"

She stares a bit blankly at you and takes another bite into the bread before swallowing the rest. "Ah well.. they are a bit too North into the mana wastes. Some of the creatures there are deadly not to mention some of the more northern folk who, from the tales, changed entirely. I haven't asked them really what they are fighting but as a girl I heard them talk about something large that attacked a village."

"These nations.. these northern folk.. how to they compare with Forlinde?" You ask as you begin to move out to the top deck.

"Like I said.. they're cool looking and kinda bland but not too much ya know?"

"I meant the nations. Not the people."

"Oh.. the nations have tsars, like their kings, who meet up in some central area every now and then. I bet that some might of known Aranlius and traded with them but if you're going all the way to some mountains then I guess not. I know they like fish and drink a lot.. or was that just dad.." She says as you help her get out of the supply deck. There are a few more sluggish movements across the various decks of the ships. Malatish looks across the ships at you from The Red Blade. You can feel his gaze. Annoying.

You leave Janne and make your way back into the cramped supplies area. It being half your size you crawl through some of the wider areas before finding the stair downward. The bulk of supplies and people are aboard this ship and even then the ship couldn't properly accommodate for someone twice the height of most. You've been sleeping in what is known as the captain's quarters as it is actually properly sized and would fit someone of your size though the bed is lacking. You make your way hunched over down the stairs and find many hammocks and beds strewn and stacked about the place. Still bodies lay atop them and a few tieflings are awake and move quietly across the littered floor to prepare for the day to come.

With your horns constantly getting caught by the wood above you make your way tiptoeing through the large mess. You find that Baskil is already awake and is preparing while his sister sleeps by him. The cramped living conditions must of forced many to just sleep in the same bed or hammock. The constant swaying of the ship has you both almost falling over. You lean forward and whisper, "Baskil, what do you know of the supplies that went missing?"

Baskil looks up at you with tired eyes and rubs them before saying, "Something is missing? There is plenty of people on board if there is something missing then someone must of just simply ate too much."

"If this goes on then there would not be enough supplies to hold for the rest of the trip forcing us to stop at a port to resupply." You whisper and then turn to walk away. "Should there be more of this I will ask you to monitor the supplies."

You leave Baskil and begin to wake the others as you pass by. Soon you find the feathered demon. You quickly tell him all you know about the current situation and he nods carefully.

He nods thoughtfully and you wave him over to follow you.

"It's a bit crowded here. We should go up top to speak," You say as you begin to make your way out of the crew quarters. You again tiptoe through the mess of clothing, blankets, rope, and tieflings. You find the stairs up and quickly escape from the cramped second deck. As you move the grate out of the way you find yourself staring at the bright morning sun which is a change from the exclusively oil lamp-lit rooms below.

You climb out of the square hole and help the Fallen out as well. He stretches his wings out as he exits. "Do you want to take a flight? The sun is gorgeous in the morning."

You shrug and the two of you begin to ascend. Moving past the fog and upwards into the sky you begin to see the scene before you. A vast stretch of water with a low fog across it. Far into the horizon the sun peaks it's head gifting the waters below and the fog a myriad of colors fractured between the mist. The wind is strong above and the both of you slightly struggle to stay as you begin to hover in place as you both stare out. "What do you make of it?"

"The light is awe inspiring." The Fallen replies.

"No.. what of the supplies? What do you make of the situation.. the journey to find the duergar?" You ask.

"What of the supplies?" He replies. "It's a good excuse for meeting the locals. The duergar, if they are like dwarves, should prove useful for the long term goal. If you're worried about food for the journey then ration it out."

"A ration is a good idea. That with someone keeping an eye on it would be best. The conglomerate is currently an unknown factor and trade would help with both knowing more about them and procuring more supplies for the journey through the mana wastes." You say as you begin to descend into the fog once more. "The conglomerate should know about the duergar since they are near them."

The Fallen nods as both of you descend into the fog. The mist hides the ships except for the faint glow of red from the lanterns. Soon you see the masts and then the decks of the five ships. You land on the Red Blade as Malatish seemed to want to speak while the Fallen lands on The Monarch's Tempest. As you land Malatish approaches you donned in his red plate. He seems irritated about nothing in particular.

"What did you want with me earlier Malatish?" You ask as you slowly land on the wooden deck.

"I suppose you heard about my complaint? I can only guess it was your savages who decided to be greedy and eat more than their fair share. It wouldn't be surprising as they follow you." He says as he places his hands behind his back and straightens up.

Once we go ashore we should try to abduct about 10 people to get ourselves Shade for espionage and the most modest professional succubus we can get. This could help us earning the favour of the tsars for potential trading later. But this all depends on the relation of the tsars with the Nephilim.

You laugh loudly and bend over to meet eyes with Malatish. "There will be rations. I'll be sure to remember your accusations when they begin."

Malatish just stares blankly. His bald head shining dully in the sun. "If you wish to be so petty then I'm sure my people will find out about you choosing favorites."

"Ah yes. They will find out I favor them over you." You sit for a while as Malatish thinks carefully about his word with narrow eyes.

"Then time will tell." Malatish says before quickly loosing up. "If rations are your choice of plan then we should put all the food on one ship. I say we should place the food on my ship and move some of the tieflings onto yours along with the heavy materials so it doesn't weigh down a single boat. If we have it on one ship then place the most elite on it then it should be easier to keep track of rations."

"Interesting proposal Malatish. Now what would happen if the ship holding all the food decided to sink?" You ask as you straighten up and stand tall. Malatish gives a bewildered face before returning to his black stare. "I will ask the Belophus if he can secure it through magic. You need not worry about the rest. Nevertheless we will need to head to a port for trade as well as information."

"That would be something we agree on." Malatish says as he heads to one of the sides of the ship. Placing his forearms and resting them on the railing he sighs. "How long did you say this trip will be? I know that some of your people worry about the ones left behind. They say you've placed a trusted succubus to safe-keep them from Forlinde. I do not trust those things so if we can we should hurry back once you've completed your little whatever you're doing up in the North."

"We will return once we are ready Malatish." You say as you walk over to his side. "They are a resilient people. Trust in their strength."

"It's what I've been doing for well over sixty years -- when I found them. I know their strength." He says as he then straightens up and walks away. You decide to leave that as it is. If you can have a guess at his age you suppose it would be around eighty. He hasn't started to grow horns yet so you know he isn't over a hundred years. As you think this it surprises you how much you remember of the cambion's physiology. You decide it would be best to leave that train of thought and walk around to inspect the ship. The Red Blade is a smaller ship with an angular shape. A single mast with a large triangular sail, which is odd since you've only seen square sails so far, sits in the middle. The sides of the ship is painted a maroon red and has the name inscribed in white.

You leave inspecting the rest of the ship and head to find the Belophus. You head to the doors at the back of the ship to see if he has Stowe's away inside the captains quarters. Unsurprisingly you find Malatish's items strewn about the place and you close the door. Heading to the center you find a familiar grate over a square hole. You open it and enter the ship's hull. The ship itself only has two decks the top and then this one which holds the crew and the supplies.

You crouch down to see if you can spot the Belophus as this ship suffers the same problem as the monarch's. From the edge you can make out the Belophus who is floating while asleep. You ask one of the tieflings nearby who is folding some cloths to poke the Belophus awake. After several attempts of waking the Belophus he finally stirs awake. He flips around and turns to face you with his robes fanning out and settling quickly. He floats slowly over to you. "Yes?"

"I have a task for you. Take the food storage and secure it." You tell him as you crawl out of the crew holdings.

"Yask tmuch... " the Belophus says but is obviously not going to argue. "What yneed?"

"Can you place an alarm system or something?"

"I can. Or I can make it so they can'tenter if they donhave permission tonter. Or I can makit so they can't find what they are looking for. Or I can makit so if thetry to enter they'll be marked with a thief symbol."

"Thieves should be branded as such." You say. "Those thieves should be heard as well. Set an alarm for those who have not been allowed to enter."

"Yagatta be kidding me. That's justoo much. If you want something next time fromme just pick one." The Belophus sighs and then goes back and begins to do what he was told. You leave him and walk out onto the deck. You spread your wings and in a quick gust of wind you hop from the Red Blade onto the Monarch's Tempest. Landing near the side you walk to find Janne. Looking around you can spot her at the helm so to glide upward onto the raised square like structure that is the captain's quarters.

"Janne," you say as you move closer to the helm. "Where is the nearest port?"

"It's about a days trip out north. Which is basically all places. There is a few places to find though the closest is a small fishing village that borders a kingdom not a part of the conglomerate. "If Triglav is the largest port then we should be able to obtain the things we need. Head to Triglav." You sigh.

"Triglav it is!" She gives a faux salute and turns to wave a yellow flag to the boats behind her which are captained by one of her sailors. "It'll take two days of travel but it's worth it! Their city is so colorful and their roofs are pointed!"

You turn back and ignoring the two sets of stairs flanking the helm you hop over the railing and walk to the front of the ship to gaze outward. The sun is higher than the last time you checked and it beams downward like a graceful and warm embrace. Your home across the great divide lacks such a wonder and is invaded in ever looming black thundering clouds. You look across the sea and watch as the rest of the fog dissipates. Though it is slightly more warm the biting cold breeze falls through and you feel the chilling breath of the North. You continue to stare out at the sea before you realize you heard someone come behind you several minutes ago. You turn to see a tiefling child stare up at you. His eyes like the midnight moon and his very small horns are just beginning to sprout. "Hello?"

"He..hello mister." The child responds shakily.

"Did you want something?" You say as you kneel down making you almost the same height has his mother or father would be.

"You look like me but big!" The child says and then furrows his brow. "When do I get wings like you?"

"You won't." You say simple but then the child starts to look crestfallen. "Not yet anyways."

The child seems to be reinvigorated by this and his sullen look turns into a bright smile. You give a small smile as the child's mother comes by to shoo away him telling him not to bother you. You look out again and find yourself looking to the west. A sight that lights the sky ablaze with a myriad of colors. Night beckons forth and the sun retreats away from fear for the things that lurk at twilight.

You tear your gaze away and look to the grate, the entrance to below, and watch as the night begins to enter into the stage light. Above the stars form constellations and intricate puzzles of the imagination as you watch the grate. Though you didn't see the Belophus prepare anything on the ship you trust that he did. You decide it is best to open it and head down for a moment.

Opening the wooden grate you are greeted by a small lamp hanging on an upright beam. You take the small torch in your large hands and light it through magic fire. With an outstretched palm and a lamp which sits atop you move it around below the top deck to see if you can stop anyone or movement. Though you cannot see anyone you do spot another lit lamp near the stairs that lead downward.

You decide to believe in the Belophus diligence and that to stand here is just a waste of time so you head outside once again and spot the moon. Though you can barely remember stories of there being two moons you decide to settle on a single moon which lays before you. It's silver like the stars and eerie like the contrasting void which it stands defiant to.

You shake your head and move to the captains quarters. You open the two large doors and several steps lead downward. Several rugs made of red wool lay still on the swaying ship. A bed sits behind a curtain which is behind a large desk. There are several books strew across the room which resembles a noblemen's study.

Closing the doors you pass the desk and pull away the thick curtain revealing a rather large bed which you climb into. Soon you fall asleep with your feet hanging off the bottom of the bed.

————————•|||||

Water drips slowly.

With each drop it gets louder and faster until it is a torrent of waves which crash down upon the stone floor. You stand in inch deep water staring forward. A dim light pierces the void which encases you. The light reaches out a dainty hand and beckons you forward. Feathers. Wings. Light.

Water drips slowly.

You wake to the sudden and loud opening of your bedroom doors and you sit up. The bed feels as if it was made of water with the constant swaying of the ship. Light spews forth as footsteps pull back the curtains that shields your bed so instead you raise your arm to shield your eyes. "What is it?"

"A thief was caught!" Baskil's voice replies. You lower your arm and squint to adjust the the light. You move out of your bed and follow him to the doors. You shield your eyes once again as you step into the bright day. Before you stands a few tieflings with two of your marked holding a struggling young boy by the arms at the forefront. The small crowd begins to grow as others find their way up. "The child was caught when one of the alarms went off."

You kneel to look at the child. He is not unlike the one you saw the previous day but he does look older by a few years. His small horns protrude from his unruly and long black hair. On his right hand you can see clearly written in archaic daemoniacus the word 'thief' which you can guess that is the work of Belophus who you see floating toward The Red Blade.

"What are we to do with the boy?" One of the men who is restraining the boy asks.

"Mercy should be given!" A woman pleads in the growing crowd. "That's my son!"

Baskil leans over to you as you kneel and whispers, "I agree. Mercy should be given but they should know that they cannot take what they want and be un touched."

"A certain degree of mercy should be called for." You say as you stand. The child along with his mother and a few others begin to show signs of relief. "Then again if he wanted to steal then he should know that he will be treated like the rest. His hand will be removed."

A few gasps of disbelief fill the air which turns to screams of plea as the two marked draw their knives. You raise your hand and soon the crowd goes silent. "But.. in this situation all should be fit to serve and if one is crippled then they are useless."

You stare back at the child as you loom over him. "You will work by cleaning the decks and organizing the supplies. You will earn that which you have taken so freely. If you were to steal again then know that I will not show such kindness." You turn your gaze away from him and look to the crowd. "Remember my forgiveness as it will not always be as it is today. If you commit such a crime know that you will be treated with scrutiny regardless of age or profession. If you wish to progress then you should not forget why laws are made."

You wave your hand at the two marked and they release the boy who quickly scrambles to his crying mother. You take the time to note the sun is high above and is beginning to descend. Laws. Order. Strength. You ponder as the crowd disperses slowly.

You leave them and walk to the edge of the ship. Three days of sailing and you're heading to the nearest port. Three weeks is how long the old man said this journey should be which is odd because Triglav sits in the middle of the mana wastes and the island. Perhaps the old man's age is upon him and he cannot recall something like time so easily.

You stare out into the water and its ever-looming fog. Small lanterns hint of your nearby compatriots. The water moving and swaying as you listen to its secrets. Silence falls around you as you close your eyes and focus on the sound. Your breathing slows and your thoughts fade one by one. Calm. Collected. Conscious.

Silence.

A single drop of water falls onto stone splashing loudly. You open your eyes and see a man walking towards a light. "T--"

The light calls out before another drop of water falls.

"I kn--" The light calls out before another drop of water falls.

"Do not fa--" The light calls out before another drop of water falls.

Blinding light piercing and singing. You hear a clatter of steel and a firing of something akin to a musket. Silence. The light fades back to a small point as you walk forward to the light.

You feel a sudden tapping at your side and you open your eyes to see a dark star lit sky before you. A quiet voice begins to try to say something before clearing their throat as you regain your senses. You turn to see Lilissa standing before you. "Lilissa? What do you want?"

"Oh.. uh.." She stands somewhat silent for a moment before speaking up and saying, "Baskil wanted to talk about something.. what were you doing?"

"Hm.. what did Baskil want?" You ask avoiding the question and Lilissa narrows her eyes slightly.

"He wanted to talk about what you said earlier about.. laws or.. rules for some things." She says as she puts her arms behind her back and leans forwards slightly. "So what were you doing earlier? I mean.. Baskil can wait right?"

You sigh as you sit down and lean against the railing for the front of the ship. "It's just dreams I've been having seem oddly familiar."

"Like memories?" She asks.

"Yes.. I guess they are like memories. Most of them are abstract and deal with water or something getting louder. I was just thinking about them trying to figure them out."

"Father used to think a lot. He said he was doing some old practice that was taught to him when he was young. He looked like he was sleeping while sitting all the time though." She says while she sits and try's to mimic what she was talking about. She sits with crossed legs and closed eyes. "Like this!

"He said you had to focus on one thing and let all the others fall away. Baskil knows how to do it better though." She says before opening her eyes and getting up off of the deck. "It's called.. medicating.. or medi.. meditating? Yeah meditating!"

"What else do you know about meditation? You seem knowledgeable."

"Oh well.. not much but father always said to keep focused. No matter what you are doing and that would help when you think about them. When you meditate." She says as she walks over and leans against the railing of the ship.

"You talk a lot about your father. What kind of man was he?" You ask watching the tiefling girl.

"Well.. he was a good man." She says somewhat saddened by the sudden remembrance of her father. "He always had something wise to say and knew just the right thing say to comfort them. He was really strong too! He knew both magic and he was a great swordsmen."

"Your father sounds kind." You saw as you begin to stand up. "I think we've made Baskil wait long enough. We should find him."

The two of you make your way down the ship and into the crew quarters. The cramped and messy room breaks your stride and forces you to be careful. Many of the tieflings have fallen asleep already and you have a feeling that you should as well. Lilissa leads you to her brother who is laid out in a hammock to himself. Above and below him are others asleep who look equally uncomfortable.

You sigh when you see Baskil sleeping in his hammock. "Why would be just fall asleep if he called on me?"

"He's probably not used to the schedule. Really I don't think anyone is." Lilissa whispers in reply. You look around the crowded bunks and beds and hammocks with all of them stacked on each other with cloths strewn about along with tools. The place smells of sweat. You then turn back to Lilissa as she struggled to move Baskil over to get in the hammock before giving up. "Hey.."

She looks back up to you and points at a folded cot stuffed to the side. Her face becomes flushed with red as she struggles to get words out before clearing her throat and saying, "Isn't.. isn't your room.. uh.. big enough? I.. I'm not asking to.. can I sleep there? I mean.. there's enough beds but it's just.. you know.. crowded and I don't want to bother my brother and I really don't want to even sleep in that hammock again. I don't mean to bother you but.."

You sigh again. "No."

"There's no real place to sleep though.. they stuck most of the family members in one bed and.." She trails off and looks down. Your large horns scrape against the low ceiling as you shake your head.

You stare blankly at Lilissa before once again sighing and then grabbing the folded up cot. Lilissa looks up quickly and smiles tremulously. You silently turn and walk back to the stairs as she picks up a few things like a blanket and a small pillow before following you. The two of you make your way up to your sleeping quarters. As you open the two large doors you look back to see that she is holding her pillow and blanket tightly and gives an apologetic look. You shake your head and place the cot down off to the side of the room. "Tomorrow you find some other place to sleep."

"Alright! I'm.. sorry.." she says as she lays out her blanket. "I know you're a demon and all.."

She trails off as she curls up onto her cot and you leave her. You move through the curtain and crawl onto your own bed before quickly falling asleep. The ship sways and feels as if you're sleeping on water itself.

————————•|||||

You quickly sit up aroused from sleep. Green. You feel the grass blades beneath your hands. Each delicate strand spiking out toward the blue sky. Tall towers spike in out toward the blue sky. Clouds roll across the sky shaping into various things. The trees sway in the wind. Stones and trees all living together.

It starts raining.

————————•|||||

You wake to the sudden sound of bells and people talking outside. Soon you hear a knock ring out from the doors before it opens and Janne enters. "Oh hello.. I didn't know he was.. hmm?"

You get up unsteadily and find Janne talking to Lilissa. "What? Oh.. no.. that's not.."

Janne puts a finger to her own lips and runs them across to the other side before making a locking motion with them. "I won't tell anyone." She says before she quickly turns on her heels to face you and straightens up. "Oh! We are near Triglav, about an hour away, and I thought you would like to know I just didn't expect--"

"Thank you Janne." You say cutting her off. "Was there something else you needed?"

"Well.. I was wondering.." she trails off before clicking back to where she was. "You said that you didn't know if Triglav was friendly or not."

"Ah yes." You say as you stretch a bit. "Take your five crew members and claim one of the fishing boats to go in while the rest will sit outside of the docks."

"How would that help with figuring out if they like your kind? I've never seen them deal with forsaken but if we bring along one or two on the boat then I could get a feel for the waters around there." She says and then turns to Lilissa. "She seems good enough to bring along. I doubt they'll mess with a little scamp."

Lilissa narrows her eyes at Janne before turning to you. "I.. I guess I could go... I think Baskil would be much more suited."

"She's humble too. What a cutie." She gives s smile and looks back to you. "Baskil.. was it?.. could come along too."

"To go to Triglav without prior knowledge of the city's people? That'll be up to them but I wouldn't put it past them if they decided to stay." You say as you pass the both of them as you make your way to leave. Lilissa gets up quickly and with a swift run of her fingers through her hair she runs after you. The two of you begin to make your way down to go find Baskil in the crew quarters.

"I don't know.." Lilissa begins as she breaks the silence, "it does sound fun.. to go out to some place new."

"You can go if you want," you say plainly.

"It does.. sound.. dangerous though." She says waveringly and sighs. "I bet Baskil would say no."

The rest of your journey to find him is carried out in silence. You find him sitting on the hammock with his head in his hands almost in a fetal position. He looks up once you got close enough and from the look of it a flash of worry went to relief. "Lilissa! I didn't know where you were.. I just.."

"Baskil I'm fine," she sighs. "You fell asleep before we got here.. I thought it to be rude.."

"Oh.. yes. Yes I know I fell asleep." He turns to you and bows his head slightly. "I'm sorry I shouldn't.."

"Your sister is fine Baskil. Now, what did you wish to tell me before you.. dozed off?" You ask.

"Ah.." he says as he clears his throat. "Yesterday you mentioned laws and I was hoping to follow up on that. Perhaps we could try to figure out some things before the begin to rebuild physically."

"Hmm.. no Baskil that will be reserved for later." You say as you watch Baskil's face turn from relief to seriousness.

"Well.. --" Baskil tries to argue.

"For now we are sending a small fishing boat to Triglav with Janne, the captain, and her small crew to perform diplomatic relations along with trade. Most likely the Mammous would want to come along but Janne wanted to know if the both of you would want to test the waters with the conglomerate."

"Well that seems interesting to say the least but I find it hard to justify putting myself in danger whilst the crew can simply just ask what their thoughts are," Baskil says after some thought. You nod and agree with him though you can't help but feel that you are just heading into it blindly.

"Mhm. I thought.. basically the same thing." Lilissa speaks up. "I mean.. it would be interesting.."

"But the risk is too great with an unknown like this." Baskil finishes for her.

"I agree," you say plainly.

"Perhaps in this time we can discuss future plans? Always moving forward should be the initiative." Baskil says while looking for approval between Lilissa and you. "I would like to possible iron out a few things like basic rules."

"Why the sudden interest with law, Baskil?"

"Father always said 'pursue that which you seek and to be mindful of that which you do not.' I believe that if we are to avoid what allowed the fall of Aranlius then we should reform quickly. I was able to take some of the law books from my home city, Serenmor, which is to the east of Blackmoor. It too was a port city which was one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. Laws are another form of protection; protection for things beautiful like Serenmor." Baskil finishes and leans over to take out a large book.

"I think we should at least say no to Janne. Also.. it's less crowded. You can probably see about talking in Roc's cabin. It's pretty quiet in there.."

"How.." Baskil looks over to Lilissa whose face just reddens.

You nod at Lilissa's suggestion and you begin to make your way to the top deck. Janne stands proudly looking forward as she motions the rest of the ships to anchor as a single fishing boat comes near to the monarch. Five men stand on the ship which you can guess one of them is the Mammous.

Janne turns back and give a smile as she sees the three of you watching and decides to approach. "Ahh.. thank you for coming. Did you find out if you wanted to go and.. Baskil, did you want to come along?"

The two of them shake their head and Janne gives a disappointed look. "Well I'm sure next time you'll come along. It's quite a pretty place. If this fog wasn't here and we had an eyeglass I'm sure you'll see the wonder in it!"

She turns on a heel and walks off to board the fishing boat which now has a crudely drawn elk with a broken antler on the side on the hull.

how do you figure out how to make options for things you write- AND how do you worldbuild? you can answer in a pm on discord as well- as i'd like to dwell on this for quite some time
(im speaking mostly on general terms, when u have time or whatever)
>>
>>1079014

Options are usually what I though most people would try to go for. In my first thread you saw that most of them are short because I really only had the idea of what some characters are like. It's not until I got to write more of them I could think about what they would say.

For world building it's kind of complicated but it's really simple at the same time. I knew I wanted to do something about demons which has a very large story arch (which hasn't even been hinted at yet) and a fantasy world would pretty much fit the bill for it. I'm not exactly sure what you wanted to know about world building though.
