Hi, and yes that sounds fine.
Will start typing soon. You guys wanna go to the archive now, or have a look at how our siblings are enjoying their first trip to the keep? I assume we left all the kids out (meaning the harpies) as well?

Crud 107's Archived but I got distracted and didn't put in all the Tags, still listed under Eldric Lightbringer so finding it shouldn't be a problem but dose anyone know how to fix that?

Yes. Wouldn't that also include Fleur?

We may as well go over how the kids are doing if you want to take this slow. We can get to plot when you're less tired tomorrow.

>>1091759

You need to email Lord Licorice directly or catch him on the suptg IRC channel.

>>1091762
Here is the list of Harpies. You need to fix the list you have:
Nina - intelligent one (still bird-brained) and most mature. Magic Tree. Sorceress
Rosa - Pink and girly. Magic Tree. Witch
Adrianna - Runt of the litter. Smallest, has platinum blonde hair, brown wings, and blue eyes, and is Rogue Tree.
Pamela - Big boobs and short, Assassin evolution
Janice - Blue Harpy of Happiness, Seducer, a dodge-based tank
Nikita - Assassin
Lyudmila - brown, eagle-like, Sniper
Tanya - Sniper
Sophia - Archer/Healer
Matty - Archer

((I forgot our little brother's name again, so im gonna call him Wulfric because that sounds about right)

"Oooooh...!" x14

Adrianna, Athena, Elysia, Elrond, Janice, Lyudmila, Matty, Pamela, Nikita, Nina, Rosa, Sophia, Tanya and Wulfric are watching nana Euphrosyne with awe as she shows them hot to make hard honey cookies with cream filler.

"..then it's done! You need to store them in an [Item Box] or they will grow soft after a few hours, however."

Fourteen little heads nod nod. Zoe is helping nana Euphry, so she's not really in the nod nod side of things.

"Can we make them with starberries? I like starberries!" - says Rosa as she stretches her wings behind her.
"Hey, don't push..." -says Pamela, softly, as Rosa's wings push against her face
"I like starberries too!" - Athena approves

"Don't you mean strawberries, honey?" - Nana Euphy smiles warmly at the children
"No! Starberries!" - Rosa defends her words
"Yes, yes, starberries!" - the rest of the children chorus in approval
"Uh..." - Nana Euphry looks towards Zoe

Zoe takes out some [Starberries] out of her [Item Box]. These are loot we acquired in the Heven kingdom's dungeons, and we have never seen in this region before.

"Let me try one."

Euphrosyne picks one between her fingers and takes it to her lips, giving it a try.

"Ah, it's pretty good. Alright, I think we can use these."
"Yaaay!" x 14

The pack, flock, or group of children, however you want to think of them, stand up and walk, stumble, crawl and generally approach the ttable.

"What are you doing?" - Portia comes back from the kitchen with two new bags of flour on her [Item Box]
"We are making starberry and honey cookies." - explains Zoe with a casual tone
"Oh!"

The harpies happily squeeze together to watch, somehow turning into a mass of soft feathers with 10 cute girl's heads poking out as they stare with interest.

They are also a complete mess of honey and berry stains, having tried for quite a while to make cookies.

It should be mentioned, Nina actually succeeded, but her sisters om nom nom'd at her cookies and she ended up trying to defend them and then they dogpiled her while squirming and tickling, and it ended in her dropping the honey flask which led to their current state.

On the other hand, pretty much all of our siblings did much better, with Frederick proudly having managed to make all his cookies the same size and thickness.

Uh, he'll make a good [Cook] soon.

Actually, he just unlocked the job...

"Nana Euphry, is this right?" -he asks while showing off his cookies
"Yes, that is perfect."

Frederick looks at her, then at the cookies in his hand, and smiles.

"Portia, do you want to ha-" -he starts
"Are these alright?" -asks Portia, showing her own
"Yes, those are fine as well."
"..." - Frederick has a thousand yards stare ...
"Can I have one?" -Zoe asks him for a cookie
"Yes!"
"Yummy!"

Our kitty little sister cheers him up, showing off how much she enjoys his cookies.

They just write down what other people thinks is important. You could arguably make a case against the ones in the past, MAYBE, but what does the guys 10000 years AFTER the last invasion have to do with what those guys thought was important at the time and wrote down?

After stepping into the right teleporter, we find a rather large shelf containing a couple dozen thousand samples of different gates.

"There can't be that many ways to open a gate, rght?" Eldric
"Its probably just every gate recorded. I doubt they're all different." -Lyann

As we spread around to start checking the files, we realize that there are indeed quite a variety of gates, but that the files do indeed contain pretty much every gate ever spotted.

For now, it looks like there's mostly aerial gates, that directly puke [ERROR]s on top of a target area, but there's also smaller, more subtle ones that open near a target, or even in far away locations, to infiltrate high-spec individual [ERROR]s that have a specific objective.

They can't however open gates onsode buildings or underground. There's no records of underwater gates, so it is assumed to be impossible as well.

Gates also do not open twice in the same area within any period that could be considered as "brief". This made our ancestors think that the [ERROR]s need to invest great resources to, for lack of a better word, punch through reality in a given area, and it fixes itself stronger than before each time, with that reinforcement going away quite slowly.

"Shame it goes away at all." -we sigh
"Ah... I need to rest for a bit." - Lyann complains softly after reading files for hours and hours.

We asked Aritsu, Fahima and Atroma to look at the archives on [ERROR] biology. After a long night of work, we go greet them and see what they made of it.

"They don't really have a form of their own." -says Aritsu as we ask her about it

"Every [ERROR] form that has been spotted so far, seems to be that of another species that they first absorbed. Its really strange, because at some point there must have been a form of their own. I mean, what was the first [ERROR] shaped like before absorbing something else?"

So, a chicken or egg situation, right?

"I wonder what... wait, we fought an [ERROR] that was basically a sea anemone walking and sucking people into itself. Are you telling me that there was an animal like that?"
"They probably modified it slightly. They don't keep their own abilities, but it looks as if the [ERROR]s just 'guess' what their traits were, and emulate them."

I wonder what they'll make from spiderkin and Majin. If the [ERROR]s dont fly, what will they give to the [ERROR]s shaped like majin or succubus?

Nothing special so far, but it looks like they probably will give them something, eventually.

Sorry guys, I overlspet on my nap a little bit. I was -really- tired yesterday, I guess

Here's a nice video so you'll forgive me. I really really loved playing wipeout back in the day.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNq8lqUhoV0

Maybe one day I'll do a quest thread about managing a wipeout team. Would you prefer to run a team of dreamers trying to create the perfect racing machine, like PiranhaA or Icaras, or one that looks for purely economic wins, such as Qirex? Anyway, this video shows the story of the teams.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7e4mDhaxj_M

And, yeah, I was under the impression we sent Aritsu to look for the biology of the [ERROR]s

*****************

Based on her findings, it seems [ERROR]s do not really have a biology of their own, but rather, modify the 'base' body of creatures they capture, in order to serve their purposes.

At the same time, it looks like they don't really understand how our bodies work, so they basically assign strange talents and skills to their new 'shapes', often unrelated to their actual, original abilities.

For example, creatures with wings cannot fly. This may mean that flight in the [ERROR]s world is impossible, something that cannot even imagine.

For now, we'll try to single out and capture individual, unique-looking [ERROR]s and try to learn about them.

Since we know they are going to invade the main Jade Island soon, its a perfect chance to collect some specimens.

"Its late enough to be early, so let's go back, wash and eat before we have to go back to Albion." -we say after reading over Aritsu's notes.

It clearly shows that we will need many nights of research to be able to truly make a dent on the mountains of data stored over many, many generations, so we should set either a team in charge of just that, or insert it firmly into our own schedule somehow.

We had sent Aritsu to check [ERROR] biology from the earliest records. So this is what they learned from the first couple invasions?

>We had sent Aritsu to check [ERROR] biology from the earliest records. So this is what they learned from the first couple invasions?

Yes, the [ERROR]s steal 'models' of creature bodies and adapt them to their needs and knowledge. That's why even the ones with wings can't fly, and use them as weapons or shields

"You have more than enough resources to hire someone, right? At the very least, you should be able to think of a subordinate who's good at dealing with massive amounts of documents." - Mako says quite seriously, but her sweet and gentle mood doesn't change

Uh... a subordinate? The only one we really have is Yin, I guess?

Well, they're acquainted, so maybe she's talking about her. I think.

Oh, we also have the elf maids in the island manor, but I don't think they know about paperworl, so... it's probably Yin?

I wonder if we could hire someone to do her current job... no, it would probably require an actual team of people, wouldn't it? She does deal with a huge amount of work quickly and efficiently... actually, I guess she IS overly qualified for what we want.

While I would like to poach away Yin, she's an Imperial bureaucrat and we shouldn't steal her from the Empire for our own projects.

"Alright..." - we look at Mako while we think.

She looks back at us with a curious look in her beautiful eyes.

Let's try and post notices in the college, most important private academies, guilds, and within our own businesses, looking for people good at reading through lots, truly large amounts of data to find useful things.

We don't need them to research, we just need them to identify useful things and point them out for us so we can research them, after all.

Come think about it... couldnt we use automata for it? We do have one that is already used to searching through thousands of possible chess moves to pick the most useful one, not just for the now, but for the long term plan...
