You feel a little dizzy as you get out, and when you look back at the beach you see it is getting farther and farther away very fast. In a panic you start to paddle back, but the rip is too strong and you’re pulled out farther into the sea. No one notices as you are taken out, because no idiot would ever try surfing in such a strong current. You can barely see the beach over the waves now, and start to freak out. Then you notice the giant eye in the water next to you, then you really begin to panic, so hard in fact, that you lose consciousness. You wake up back on the beach, with someone calling your name. A group of people are huddled around you, and the lifeguard and one of the teacher’s are looking at you with concerned looks. “IS HE OKAY?” a voice booms behind you, and turning to face it, you see the eye that had caused you to lose consciousness in the first place. After a second panic attack you are told that the local friend sea-beast had found you stuck in a strong current being sucked out to sea, and had saved you.

Seven terrible flames of darkness flare into life around the Pillar, Mages clad in black robes hanging far beneath their floating behind chanting, a terrible language that makes the ears ache despite them only mouthing the words.
With two of the Pit Fiends four wings hanging tattered it screams in incoherent rage.

As the Pitfiend rushes one of them, the mage in question ceases to case and quickly teleports the Pitfiend away... right onto the beach.

Luckily evacuations seem to be roughly under control, fleeing the beach isn't that complex after all.

All students seem to understand that they need to be protected for three full turns in order to seal the portal. With the battlefield of the beach, barriers risen and the last civilians running screaming away the students face off on the thing before them.
You have the feeling that this is where the true battle begins.

Noticing all the fire elementals being subdued for the most part I decide to go grab Grams legs while I have the chance.

Noticing earlier a girl fight of the fire elementals with graceful water magic I attempt to find her again and woo the blue haired beauty.

You can’t think straight, all the pain is worming into your head making it hard to think straight. But there is one thing that clears it all away, how much you hate that FUCKING PIT FIEND. Gripping your Greatsword you suddenly appear above the Pit Fiend, and fall, screaming, onto its back. Your blade bites deep into it, sticking, and you hold on, swinging barely able to keep your grip.

Due to the nature of how Twin Portals work, you can’t quite put one at the bottom of the ocean, but you do put one in the shallows. A small but steady rain of water falls from the Door above you. The Pit Fiend turns most of it into steam, but some eventually gets through, soaking you and the Pit Fiend. It's refreshing… until it gets to your numerous wounds. SALT WATER

It seems gram has put himself in an even more dangerous situation. He is now hanging off his sword, which is in turn stuck into the back of the Pit Fiend. Muttering under your breath you run into the chaos. You easily weave between fire elementals, until you are below Gram and behind the Pit Fiend. You climb up its back and get to work on Gram, who if frothing at the mouth and growling. Once you’re done you jump down and head back to join the everyone else farther away from the fighting. Some people saw your actions and are staring at you in awe.

You make your way down the beach, and once you find them, you throw them over your shoulder and make your way back to Gram. But when you get back it seems he's gone, then you spot him attacking the Pit Fiend again. Might be time to skedaddle

A fire elemental sends a burst of flame at you and Brooke while she's distracted and you pull her away just in time. She thanks you and looks away, continuing to use her magic. You catch sight of her face and it’s very red, you don’t think that's from the heat.

EMT's check the students over, the injured (those with more than 20hp of damage) are sent to the hospital and will miss one turn in the main thread.

The rest of you have nothing left to do but head back into the bus. The Military seems not to approach the Mages hanging in the sky, and after a moment they disappear.

After the remaining students are cleared to go, the commanding officer addresses you -- one Captin Dema.
"You help today saved lives, that won't be forgotten. She looks over you, I'm only sorry we couldn't arrive sooner." She seems honestly sad, "you're all free to go, we can take over from here." She looks over at the battle ground of the beach. EMT's surround still figures the unlucky ones are already leaving in body bags.

The toll would have been much, much, higher without your help. She leaves and returns to work.

All students not rushed to the hospital are now Acquainted with Captin Dema.
