This is Boruto Quest, a quest set in the universe of Naruto. It is during the generation of Naruto's son after everyone has graduated from their Genin exam. I haven't kept up with the series beyond the end of the original one, so this one is intended to recapture the feel of that time of Naruto. I will not be incorporating the main show or the Boruto movie's plot into the quest, although some recognizable characters will be present. You play as a 12 year old Chunin named Takeshi. You have been assigned a Jounin squad leader named Hanto, and your two squadmates are Kichiro, a young delinquent, and Ai, a strange social outcast of a girl. You are of average skill in most aspects, although your sharp intelligence, and your jack of trades skill set have brought you far. You're a Chunin of notable talent for your age. You're on a mission to track down a rogue jinchuriki named Usagi, whom you defeated in the Chunin Exams.

Fuckin' woops. Mistitled this as 58 when it's 59.

It'll be corrected during archival but still
>>
The man you have cornered is clearly highly confused. "You freaks can't just come in here and do whatever you want! This is our country, if you don't think I won't tell-"

You slap him across the face, and tears start to lightly well up in his eyes as gives you a stunned glare. Being slapped by a teenager and his pals can have a rather demoralizing effect on you. You begin to explain yourself. "We've been hired by the Stone to help bring back Usagi. With minimal damage in mind, of course. People like you who only serve to agitate him are probably the reason he's left in the first place, so I really don't want to hear about your supposed patriotism."

You bear down with a fiery glare. Ever since the mission in the Mist, you feel a renewed sense of duty in all forms. You'll certainly be taking things considerably more seriously. Kichiro and Ai hold the man by the arms. Ai leans down, and whispers something to the man that you can't quite hear.

He looks up at her stony white face, and back to you. He doesn't even dare glance at Kichiro, who's also staring in a similarly harsh manner. He begins to understand that, more than your average squad, these teenagers haven't an ounce of mercy for those who step out of line in such a cruel and unnecessary fashion. Since he's just a petty thief, and not some hardened mercenary, he breaks down. He just wants to get the hell out of here. "F-fine! I'll tell you everything! I-I don't know the exact reason he went rogue, but he killed a guard that was investigating him! Apparently there's been a string of murders on the outside of the wall. It's a rumor that he got bored of hunting animals, and started to go after p-people!"

The man is nearly slobbering on himself. You nod to your allies, and they drop him as you push him forward.

You need to investigate Usagi's home for any clues. But clearly these people have disrupted the crime scene. What do you want to do?

>A. Have Kichiro and Ai hold them here while you go in and investigate. Take them to the gate after, and report their crimes.
>B. Just let them go, they're not important in the grand scheme of this mission. Investigate.
>C. Let Kichiro do what he wants to them. That's punishment enough. Investigate.

At first, you were going to simply turn and investigate the house. But something inside of you tells you to be doubly sure of what's going on. There's three other men here total to interrogate, and you don't particularly have time to waste either. You stand over the cowering man, and place your hand on his face. "H-Hey! Let go!"

His protests stop short as he goes limp in an instant. The only thing that you look for is relevant information regarding Usagi, and their names. From what you see this little gang regularly enjoyed tormenting the quiet, reserved boy. Every memory that you see tells you a similar story. A child locked away in his home, surrounded by hateful words, repressing his natural urges to defend himself. You're shown brief images of times when Usagi chooses to display his astronomical skill with a bow, and each time the gang runs away in fear. But he's always shooting near them, never directly on mark. Soon enough they realize that he won't actually hurt him, for fear of being persecuted.

You note various dents on the rustic shack, hammered out in a patchwork fashion. Usagi has clearly gone through the motions of restoring his damaged home. Why on earth would they keep such an important figure out here in such terrible conditions?

As you're going through his mind, the question is answered for you. The people of the Stone have always been highly isolationist, and had great trust in the strength of their military. Relying on a beast like a Bijuu not only fills them with fear, but anger. The proud people despise needing a deterrent like this. It's the Tsuchikage's choice to have him, not the people's. But you know that in this day and age, it's all but necessary. With the recent war fresh in everyone's mind, people have been racing to capture the new Bijuu.

Once you're done with all three, you have Kichiro and Ai set them against the wall of the shack. They'll come to soon enough, once the disorientation wears off.

You and your friends enter the building. Kichiro grunts. "This is a dump."

There's a cot stuffed with various pillows, covered in patchwork cases. On the walls are various tools of all sorts, and a workbench. It's clear that Usagi built his own bow, designs his own arrows, and created the goggles that he wears. In addition to being a skilled hunter and archer, he's an accomplished engineer. You recall the memory of a man wondering what Usagi was working on, convinced that he was making traps to capture innocent virgins, or somesuch.

It's incredibly foolish, and superstitious. This backwards sort of behavior would be condemned in your village. You wonder how they would treat your Hokage, and briefly consider going outside and kicking some heads. Instead you choose to focus.
>>
>>1128449

You find some pictures of Usagi and his squad together. In all pictures he looks as stoic and reserved as ever, but something about his posture indicates that he's relaxed. More than usual, anyways.

As you're coming things over, you find a letter stuffed into a casing. It's handwritten, in blood. It's old and dried now, brown. Apparently Jashinists write their messages in blood, so that the 'ink' will fade and flake off after a certain period of time.

You mention to your allies that you're having difficulty reading it, but Ai thinks of a solution. She lightly traces over the top with a pencil, revealing the imprint of the quill that was used to write with.

It's as your Hokage predicted. The Jashinists have contacted Usagi, in an attempt to recruit him. The message offers a place of comfort, where his nature will not be despised, but revered.

They're intending to meet on the rocky crags of a mountaintop to the west. The letter tells you nothing of their numbers, or even their true intentions.

You stuff the letter in your pocket, to deliver to the guards later. The letter states that on foot, it will take about two hours to reach the meeting point.

How do you want to approach the situation?

>A. Have you and Kichiro go directly to the crag. Ask Ai to circle around, and approach as back up.
>B. Ask Kichiro and Ai to watch from a distance, while you approach alone. If you can speak to Usagi, you may be able to prevent any bloodshed.

You take out a kunai, and cut a small slit on your thumb. You've seen some people just chomp down like animals, but you'd rather not tear out a chunk of your own flesh. This'll be good enough. Dragging the blood across your palm, you go through several handsigns and slam your hand down on the dusty earth. Your allies look on in fascination.

Ai looks on blankly. Kichiro leaps back slightly in an explosion of smoke. The great horned owl known as Danpei arrives!

The smoke clears away, and the fairly large owl is sleeping soundly. You step forward and rub the top of his head, and his eyes open up. "Hmm? Oh, hey, it's you."

He looks around, his head spinning backwards in either direction. It looks rather comical. "So, we're in the land of the Stone? Never been here before. Seems kinda barren."

You nod. "Yeah, I don't think I could live here. Not enough green. Could you do us a favor and scout ahead, Danpei?"

Kichiro steps forward. "Hey, wait a second! How are you speaking perfect english like that if you don't even have lips!?"

Everyone stops for a moment, and considers this. Danpei looks up at your friend. "Listen buddy, I don't think about it and you shouldn't either. You'll strain yourself."

He turns back to you. "Where you want me to go?"

"To the west, to the top of a mountain. There should be some rocky spires on the top. Apparently some Jashinists are intending to meet with this boy." You hold up a picture of Usagi. "He's a jinchuriki. Right now our mission is to find him and bring him back to his village."

The owl nods. "Right. I'll be off then. You guys'll be trailing behind me?"

You tell him that's right. The three of you are off, after he flies off into the distance.

Contrary to the Leaf during this time of year, the Stone is still as hot as ever. The early afternoon sun begins to intensify, and draw sweat from all your foreheads. Eye puts on a pair of sunglasses, and Kichiro takes off his shirt and wraps it around his head like a turban. You pull out a round fisherman's hat, and tie your jacket around the waist. You all trudge through the heat, climbing up rock faces and cliffs, pulling one another up when footing is unsure. The three of you all recall various struggles during the forest of death, and bond deeply over this short journey.

Though you may not all speak to each other often, there's a strange sensation of closeness. You'll all fight to protect one another's dreams. There was once a time when each of you could hardly recall having any close friends, but now you're allies willing to die. You briefly wonder how Usagi feels about his own team, and if they vilify him to some extent as well. You remember tales of Naruto simply being tolerated, at best.
>>
>>1128887
The terrain is rough, and drains you all of a bit of stamina. On your way, you think of a little more light hearted topic. "I had a great time when you guys came to my party, but come to think of it, I don't know when your birthdays are!"

Kichiro chuckles. "I actually had my 14th while I was in the hospital."

You grin. "O-oh, well happy birthday! Sorry you couldn't really enjoy it." He shrugs, clearly not one for sentiment.

"What about you, Ai?"

Her pale skin has turned a reddish tone from the heat. "Well, it's about a month from now, when winter starts."

You smile. "Great! We don't have to throw a big party or anything, I mean, I don't think you'd really like that, huh?"

She shakes her head.

"Then me and Kichiro can just come over for a little bit, maybe. We'll talk about it more when we get out of here."

She doesn't respond right away. You can tell she's unsure of the prospect, but you figure it's a good idea all things considered. Soon enough, you approach a large plateau in the distance. On top of it, are numerous rocky spires, formed by ages of wind erosion. "That must be the place."

There's an owl circling overhead, and he swoops down to you, landing on the ground. "I didn't see anyone on the way. There's a small group of people up on the plateau, however. The Usagi guy is climbing up to them now. There's a number of normal lookin' dudes, and two serious lookin' ones. A guy and a girl. The guy has brown skin, and seems to be pretty ripped. He's got some stitching on his jaw, like it's been reattached or something. The chick has long blond hair."

You nod. "Thanks Danpei. That's Otozawa, and Tomiko. They're both high ranking Jashinists. I'm glad we brought the sealing scroll. Tomiko is capable of resurrecting the dead, and there's no telling who she's strong enough to bring back. We're gonna have to be extra careful. We could either go in swinging, or one of us could go in and try to talk things out. How should we do this, guys?"

>A. Takeshi will go alone, while everyone else provides cover if things go bad.
>B. Have the Owl simply investigate from afar for now, and listen to the conversation. See where things go, and if Usagi is a threat.
>C. Attack as a group, all at once. Have Danpei fire off wind bullets from the air, to get them to scatter.

>B. Have the Owl simply investigate from afar for now, and listen to the conversation. See where things go, and if Usagi is a threat.

>D. Have kochiro and ai booby trap the mountainside with explosive tags

This way we conceal ourselves and make the enemy blind to our attacks while being able to weaken them

attacking them straight on would only end in disaster and could compromise missin integrity.

You think for a few moments. "Okay. Ai, Kichiro, take some explosive tags and put them on the sides of the cliff face. If things go south, we can catch them off guard. Danpei, you circle overhead and listen in on their conversation. Try to figure out what the motives are, here."

"Got it. Oh, wait, one second."

The owl opens up the little pack strapped into him, and hops over to Ai. He nods at her. "Reach in there."

She blinks, and pulls out a small tube of sunscreen. If owls could smile, you imagine he'd be doing so. Instead his eyes simply light up. "Your face is turning red. Skin's too pale."

She looks down at the little tube, and applies some onto her cheeks. "Thank you."

He flies off, and your allies both circle around the plateau and start to climb up the sides. They booby trap the sides, being sure to place the explosives in such a way that the ground will crumble for anyone who's pushed near the edges of the cliff. As they return a few minutes later, so does Danpei. He lands nearby.

"It doesn't look good. From what I can tell, they've successfully gotten him to join the cult. He's stepped over to their side, and they whispered for a few moments. I'm not sure how, but they seem to know that Kichiro and Ai were busy trapping the place. I'm pretty positive they know where we are now."

Sure enough, far in the distance, you see Usagi and some Jashinist grunts on the south edge of the cliff face. He's starting to line up his bow. Shit! You'd forgotten about Otozawa's superb hearing! He's capable of detecting vibrations in the ground, even something as gentle as a footstep! He probably can't feel you from all the way out here, but his range is roughly 100 feet.

I think the only way we can truly neutralize these people in the most effective way is to disengage and track them. Than at night use false sound jutsu to get closer to them and launch a major counteroffensive with paralysis bells.

We really need to pick off those jashinists
>>
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5C9QVGjvqj0

Thankfully, every member of your squad is pretty damn quick. You use the Haze Clone Jutsu, and thanks to your considerable control, you're capable of creating a veritable illusory army. There's hundreds of clones of you, all completely insubstantial. Ai and Kichiro bolt forward at high speed, zig zagging through the crowd towards the plateau. Danpei elects to stick close to you, flying to the right by several meters. You expected the clones to give you some cover, but soon enough deadly arrows start to rain down. From this distance they're nearly impossible to see, and you have to jump out of the way and skid to a stop.

You're shocked he was able to pinpoint you from so far away. Some regular Jashinists troops jump down onto your level. Kichiro fires off blasts of fire from far away, suppressing them and keeping them from advancing.

Looking up, you notice that Usagi's goggles are glowing with a bright blue light. When Kichiro uses his jutsu, you realize he's able to pick you out of a crowd thanks to heat vision.

"Kichiro! He's using heat vision, keep spraying fire everywhere!"

He suddenly kicks off high into the air, shooting flames out of the soles of his feet to fly forward in a huge arc. Your ally starts to spin rapidly, and exudes flame in every direction like a miniature sun. Usagi holds his eyes up to his face, blinded.

"Danpei! Wind bullets on the archer!!"

The owl next to you fires off several invisible shots, pulsing through the air with a shockwave. You close in on the cliff, about a hundred feet away at this point. The shots keep their velocity as they travel, and Usagi has to jump backwards in order to avoid them. Your team is safe for the moment. Kichiro lands, skidding to a stop. Ai bursts out of your clones, a tiny blur. She makes a short jump and drop kicks a Jashinist in the chest, sending him flying onto his back. She rides the man like a board for a few seconds, before jumping off and throwing several kunai at the others. With pinpoint precision they're struck in the faces, lacking the proper reflexes to deal with the sudden attack. She's an expert at dismantling the immortal by now.

You catch up, and carelessly throw down two senbon into the eyes of the Jashinist she kicked, killing him instantly. You're not half bad at it either.

Your team rests at the base of the cliff. How do you want to approach the enemies up top?

>A. Danpei, we'll rush the archer as a group! I need you to fire wind bullets at Otozawa, the brown skinned one! He's blind, but he can detect movement through vibration. Since you don't need to touch the ground, he won't be able to see your attacks coming!

He doesn't respond, instead electing to follow your order with haste. He seems to be a good ally, so far. You, Kichiro, and Ai all bound up the cliff face as a group, your illusory clones dispersing behind you. Since they lack substance, they're not able to climb up the cliff face. You'll need to recreate them if you want more, but the cost is trivial.

At once you can see Usagi firing his arrows at Danpei, trying to strike him down. Your ally swerves and dips through the shots, expertly evading each one. It's apparent that the rigorous training the owls go through prepares them precisely for long range attacks. The owl curves down as you're about to climb over the top. "Look out!!"

You all come over the top of the cliff, and at once, a gigantic boulder is descending upon you all. It almost looks like a meteor.

Otozawa has used the Earth Mausoleum Jutsu, a terrifyingly powerful technique. He tore a huge chunk out of the earth and simply threw it. You catch a brief glance at Tomiko, who looks worried as she sees your group. Under the cover of two more Jashinists, she begins to retreat.

You catch Otozawa's eyes. They're filled with the same burning fire as when you walked away from his mutilated body.

The boulder is descending on all of you, slowly. Time seems to stand still.

----

That's all for tonight folks, sorry if things felt a bit short. I may pick this up again tomorrow, but if not I'll certainly be running tuesday.

You're not screwed, so don't worry! You and your allies have various ways of dealing with this current situation.

I'll be here for some questions.

On a scale of Gaara to B, Gaara being worst and B being best, where does Usagi lie on the Tailed Beat Control scale?

Comparable to Naruto. If he gets past a certain point he won't be able to control it, but in the earliest stages he can reel it back in.

Just wanna throw another idea out there for techbiques and stuff.

So its possible to channel chakra through your body to enhance your physical abilities, and if you pair that with a release than not only will you become that much stronger but your movements will take a mood as it relates to the release, not much but its there.

What about a boil release? We are going down that rout so since we have really damn good chakra control we should be able to control the chakra in our body better, and since boil release entails chemical shit im thinking that enhancing takeshi's body with this release and his level of control he could attain higher densities of muscle and bone in addition to superheating the skin and making blood flow more violently etc.

Bassicly im theorizing that a body enhancing boil chakra release would be pretty fucking dope, most probably at a high cost but still fucking dope.
>>

>meth overdose no-jutsu
I think a better idea would be to quickly form antidotes or counter-agents in our own bloodstream to provide resistance/immunity to various poisons and chemical weapons.

The possibilities for human experimentation are endless!
>oxygenate blood to remove the need to breathe/dope for increased performance
>on-demand painkillers and stimulants
>steroids and growth hormones to promote strength gain
>sugar production to go without food
Actually, we might be able to become some sort of ninja-terminator who never needs to sleep, eat, drink, or breathe.
Of course if we can do this to ourselves, anyone we get our hands on is fucked six ways to sunday when their blood turns into flourine.

Glyconeogenesis is bad business. It will fuck you up both in the short term and long term. Then again I am sure ninja drugs aren't doing our body any favors so meh. Plus at a high enough level, ninjutsu is basically magic so I suppose it just would come down to how good we are.

The boulder is rapidly descending on your group. There's just enough time to flick your eyes to the left, and to the right, getting a brief glance at your allies. You know that both of the have the offensive power to simply plow through this technique if they wanted to, but it would cost a fair bit of chakra on their parts. It's either strike through, or have all three of you attempt to dodge it.

Then there's Tomiko to consider. Seeing as she possesses the Edo Tensei technique, she could be considered the most dangerous member of the Jashinists. Even though your current mission is to bring Usagi back to his village, if you were able to kill or capture her now, it could lead to the unraveling of the entire cult.

Usagi fires off rapid shots a Danpei as he flies past, managing to prevent him from directly striking Otozawa with wind bullets. The brown skinned shinobi stands just behind Usagi, relying on his eyes and instruction for defense. Danpei loops back around, coming around again for another volley in a few moments. Having aerial support is pretty nice.

In front of you, Usagi has his bow drawn. He seems to be lining up the shot, and holding it. He could fire at any one of you in a moment's notice, and you recall him possessing several jutsu that can do strange things with his arrows.

There are threats all around. How do you respond?

>A. Use your Jet Sheath to fly forward, and out of the way of the boulder. Try to rush down Usagi.
>B. Ask Kichiro to deal with the boulder. Tell Ai to occupy Usagi and Otozawa while you go after Tomiko.

"Ai! The boulder!"

You don't look, but you can hear her kneel down and start to fly through several handsigns. Then, the sound of countless birds chirping in your ears can be heard. A soft blue light is cast over you and Kichiro as she prepares her most powerful jutsu.

The boulder is heading towards you fast, but you're not worried. You turn to Kichiro. "You handle Otozawa, keep them distracted while I go after Tomiko! She can use Edo Tensei, so it's a priority!"

As you're finishing your sentence, the pale girl next to you rockets forward into the air. She holds out her hand, and the lightning she's holding pierces through the rock with ease. The giant mass is split perfectly down the center as an explosion of electricity pierces it, spreading through the whole structure and causing it to crumble. In the meantime, you and Kichiro rush forward as fast as you can.

Usagi turns his bow's attention to you, and fires off a wide shot to the left. It looks as if it's a complete miss, so you don't think anything of it at first. Suddenly he holds up a single handsign, and just beside you there's a powerful explosion.

You're sent flying off your feet to the right, as shrapnel from the metal pierces your arm on several spots, another fleck deflecting off of your ribs. Trickles of blood start to dampen your clothing, but it's nothing serious. Kichiro slides, slowing down as you come flying towards him, and catches you.

Your friend doesn't stop running, however. Usagi's eyes go wide behind his goggles as he sees your friend's intentions. The powerful Genin pitches you forward like a fastball, with little warning.

You squeeze the trigger on your sheath. You're flying through the air as it charges, and in just a moment you hear a clear tone telling you it's ready. Usagi fires off another arrow at you, seemingly a sure strike.

The sheath activates, and an explosion of wind lets you correct your path. You skip midair like a stone on water, gaining back some height and soaring directly over Usagi and Otozawa as you spin.
>>
>>1141037

Below you, Kichiro keeps rushing forward. Usagi leaps out of the way, and Otozawa turns to greet him. The two are similarly built, and start to exchange devastatingly powerful blows in close combat. Usagi holds up his forearms, now turned to stone, and blocks Kichiro's flaming punches one after another.

You land, and glance just behind you to see Ai speed directly at Usagi.

Turning back, you can see Tomiko near the edge of the cliff face, getting ready to leap down with her Jashinist cronies.

What do you want to do?

>A. Activate the explosives now. Use the Water Bullet Jutsu, and Danpei's Wind bullets from afar. If they don't fall in the rubble, they'll hopefully be hit by your attacks.
>B. Wait just a moment. Let them go down, turn around, and use the False Sense: Fatigue genjutsu on Otozawa. Activate the explosives to shower them with rubble as they're climbing.
>C. Use the Haze Clone Jutsu, and close in on Tomiko with a storm of clones. Under cover you might be able to rush her with the Jet Sheath and disable her quickly.

Most people's first instinct would probably be to keep rushing after the biggest priority, but you choose to start planning ahead. Even if you can't get Tomiko with this plan, you'll be able to wear down Otozawa for sure. You turn and go through several handsigns, casting a Genjutsu on the brown skinned teen as Kichiro locks him down with a series of powerful hooks. Your ally is starting to build a ryhthm of punching; it's all Otozawa can do to keep his guard up against the explosive blows. Or so it seems, at first. Suddenly, the cultist breaks out of his guard and fires off a single right straight during a brief pause between blows. Kichiro's struck in the face by a fist of stone, his nose crunching a tad. Blood starts to flow freely, but this only serves to anger him.

Your Genjutsu is a success, but it'll take a little bit to truly sink in. Otozawa's style seems to be a counter-focused one, using his enhanced senses to deliver devastating strikes when he can. Contrary to that, Kichiro is all offense. He refuses to do anything but keep hammering away, despite his bloodied face.

Meanwhile, Ai is engaging Usagi.

He pulls an arrow from his quiver, and stabs outward with it. The tip opens up and sparks with electricity, seemingly acting as a cattle prod of sorts. She charges her hand with lightning, and grabs the tip. She counters the charge, neutralizing it completely. With her free hand, she shoots out an incredibly speedy right straight.

Usagi leans back, narrowly avoiding it. He's considerably taller, so her short reach is a disadvantage. He leaps back just a step, and draws another arrow. He points it directly at her feet and fires. Green gas explodes outwards, and she backwards from it. Her eyes are tearing up, and she can't stop coughing.

"Ai! The explosives!" you yell.

She holds up a single seal, activating the bombs she placed. The ground underneath you feet shakes, and the thunderous stampede of tumbling stone behind you only adds to this sensation.

Running back, you look over the crumbling edge, careful not to fall. Down below, one Jashinist was completely crushed by a boulder. Tomiko and her remaining ally are otherwise unscathed for the moment, but as they turn to retreat, Danpei swoops in from behind and fires off a string of wind bullets. The blasts throw up a cloud of dust.

>A. Put an explosive tag on a kunai, and throw it into the cloud of dust below. Since they can't see it coming, you may very well kill them both. Have Danpei circle overhead and wait.
>B. Leap after them, down the cliff face. Use your Jet Sheath to close in and attack. Have Danpei support you.

Gotta use the restroom, but the post is just about done. I'll be back in about 10 minutes.
>>
"Danpei! Back up Kichiro and Ai! I'll take her!"

You reach down, and pull off the training weights on your legs. They're incredibly heavy, and you have to grunt and struggle as you lift them off. Truthfully you've been getting quite used to them, but once they're removed you feel exponentially lighter. The sensation of your feet gliding across the ground is incredible.

Hefting them forward over the cliffside, the heavy metal weights quickly reach terminal velocity. There's another explosion of dust at the bottom, and with your newfound speed, you leap into action. Using the Haze Clone Jutsu, a storm of illusory clones falls down from the sky, with you in the center.

They all land under the cover of dust, and you glance around and try to get your bearings.

Ahead of you, Tomiko's Jashinist ally can be seen. He looks panicked as your smiling clones start to swarm him. You rush forward, moving faster than you ever have before in your life. You slam into his liver with a hook, causing the man to crumple briefly. He's no slouch however, and slashes to the left with a knife.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gcshz4lBJPQ

But you're not there anymore. In fact, with a single footstep, you've put so much distance between you and him that you can hardly see him. He ineffectually starts cutting at the clones around him, looking even more fearful.

He's scared enough for now. What you really need to look for is Tomiko. Nearby, you think you can spot someone leaning over the crushed corpse. She's pushing the boulder off, in an effort to get at the still living body of the immortal. She's going to use him as a sacrifice!

Before she can finish, you dash forward and kick her off of the body. She goes tumbling for a few seconds, and stands up in a panic.

Dashing forward again, you draw your Jet Sheath and activate the burst. It takes a few moments to charge, but just as you're about to close in, you dash with even greater speed. Tomiko looked up just in time to defend, but as she crosses her arms to block, you calmly move around her. She's moving so slowly during this moment that you're sort of confused. Is your perception changing because of your newfound speed?

You appear behind her, and place a hand on her shoulder. "It's over."

You slide the blade forward, and stab into her spine. It goes in easily between the disks, paralyzing her instantly. The blade juts out the front of her stomach. But then, there's a puff of smoke. The person you've stabbed is no longer Tomiko, but the Jashinist whom you'd struck just a moment ago!

The sounds of explosive combat keep ringing out above you. But what's even more frightening is all of the dust, and your clones, suddenly being blasted away suddenly.
>>
>>1141302

Across the dusty ground, just several feet away, the real Tomiko is sitting over the now dead corpse of a Jashinist. A tomb is rising out of the dirt.

You note that mud is falling off of her, disguised to look like flesh. She was using an advanced, earth nature transformation jutsu to stay hidden, while her lackey acted as bait.

The coffin is kicked open, and out steps Makoto. The very first Jashinist you encountered, and the man Mirai killed. Anger starts to well up inside of you.

Instantly, Tomiko turns tail and runs away, electing to abandon her mission. This was probably just supposed to be a simple recruitment for her.

In front of you, the silver haired man grits his teeth angrily. "It's you!!!"

He explodes forward, wielding the same two extending blades he always does. You know that if he gets a single drop of blood from you, the first thing he'll do is his favorite ritual. Hiding in your clones won't work, as he's capable of cutting them down in huge swaths with his whiplike attacks. What do you want to do? You'll have to stun him before you get a chance to seal him with your Edo Tensei sealing scroll.

>A. See how your speed compares to his, and fight him with the Jet Sheath. You may catch him off guard with a sudden burst.

>>
You know better than to stick around. Makoto's specialty is making his foes bleed, and in a one on one encounter you have little chance of escaping unscathed.

The enhanced speed that you had from removing your weights is starting to die down. You're still much faster without wearing them, but the sensation of lightheartedness and ease of movement has diminished. You use Shunshin, as well as your Jet Sheath, to rapidly dodge impalement. Glancing behind you, Makoto is using his swords to race forward. Even when he misses you, by retracting the blade he's able to pull himself upwards at high speed.

You come over the top, with him hot on your heels. You're initially confused by the scene in front of you, however.

In front of you, Otozawa is barely standing. His left arm has been completely severed, but by turning the stump to stone he was able to stop the bleeding. You imagine that Ai was able to cut right through him with her lightning. Meanwhile, Usagi looks to be similarly hurt. His clothing is burnt off in many spots, and he's bleeding from the mouth from being struck. Kichiro grins as you rapidly approach. Ai has her back towards you. Kichiro kicks him in the chest, knocking him over with a burst of flame.

"Hahaha! We've got you bastards cornered now!!"

Time slows to a crawl.

Usagi's eyes go wide in shock as a sword impales the dirt behind you, and the whirring noise intensifies as it's retracted. Makoto leaps over the top, racing past you by using his second sword to impale the ground just behind Ai.

She's turning to look at the noise, all too slowly. Makoto is racing towards her, cackling.

It looks as if there's nothing you can do when he races past you, lacking the sufficient speed to keep up with this Jounin level threat. He's going to cut her right across the back, possibly killing her outright. Even if he doesn't kill her, he'll have her blood! You reach out a hand in futility.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pxicylHN9o

For just a moment, Usagi sees the panic on your face. You're not even looking at him, but the olive skinned by can't help but glare. He seems to be considering something. Otozawa is attempting to stand up. "I'll...never...lose!!" He stumbles back to the ground, nearly defeated. You recall how he stared at you with intense determination, the last time you defeated him. For the first time, you notice the scarring of acid across his eyes. Seems he was punished for losing.

Spinning his body, Makoto slings a blade forward, and stabs his own ally in the chest. He pulls back, and Otozawa is yanked backwards and sent flying into the distance. In a weird way, he just saved him. "YOU FUUUUUUUUuuuuuuuuu"

The curse doesn't finish itself as he goes sailing.
>>
>>1141471

Makoto holds up his other sword, and it starts to rapidly extend towards Ai. It looks as if he's going to pierce her heart, but something you weren't quite expecting happens. Usagi slides forward, pulling her out of the way and switching places.

The blade goes directly through his ribs, and Ai is thrown to the ground nearby. Blood spurts from his mouth in large volumes, and the boy with the eagle eyes grins before spitting more out and coughing. Makoto raises an eyebrow. "I don't know who you are, boy, but you're in my way.

He slings Usagi to the side. You rush over, and kneel over him. Ai and Kichiro both retreat to your side, and Makoto turns and slowly begins to walk over to you.

"What the hell is going on!?" you say, holding the bleeding soldier in your arms.

Tears well up behind his goggles, and you tear them off so that he's not restricted. He can't stop grinning, you notice. It's the first and only time you've ever really seen him smile, in your few encounters. "I was...I was gonna infiltrate them. People...they hated me anyways. I'd kill the leader, and...and.."

He turns, and grits his teeth. It's clear he was driven by desperation to act alone, possibly feeling like he had no true allies left in the world. This brief instant of emotional weakness gives you insight to an entire life of discrimination, and you almost want to cry yourself. Usagi reaches up, and grips your collar, pulling you down. He looks back with newfound resolve. "I figured you were sent to kill me. I didn't want to hurt any of you, but I can't let you be hurt either.. They're the ones who've been killing my countrymen!!!"

His eyes are burning with hatred. You recall the memories of people throwing stones at him, and despite their unwarranted hatred, the only thing Usagi desires is to protect his people. Dust slowly starts to swirl around the Jinchuriki, and the wound in his ribs begins to steam. His eyes open wide, and the pupils alter. They become much larger, just like an eagle. He coughs once more, clearing his throat of blood. "You should all just go."

Kichiro turns, and looks down. "Whatever, man! Whatever your problem is, we've got a bigger one! It's our mission to bring you back, you hear?"

Ai nods, staring Makoto down. You wonder how she must be feeling, having just been saved herself. "We won't let you act alone."

Usagi gets up, suddenly. The swirling dust around him intensifies, and something strange starts to happen. You feel an incredible evil start to envelop him, and the hair on your skin raises sharply. Kichiro and Ai both look surprised as well, meaning they can probably feel it as well. The demon's chakra is starting to fill him with power.
>>
>>1141474

Two bright red wings, as large as an angel's, unfurl from his back. A red cloak of power covers him, and he hefts up his bow. As opposed to the wild animal you saw emerging during the tournament, Usagi seems to be totally in control of his inner demons.

The first shot explodes like a cannon, creating a shockwave that blasts you and your friends back several feet. Makoto is equally surprised by the thunder-like crack, and completely fails to dodge it. His chest is blown apart. If it wasn't for his nature as a resurrected cultist, he would be dead.

He slings his blade forward, but it ineffectually bounces off of Usagi's armored cloak. You're stunned. Is this what a Jinchuriki's real power is like?

He glances back. "Just let me handle this."

Yeah they're just sitting down there. You'll collect them when things are over.

Well we took out a nameless mook this time, which is better than our usual contribution in combat. Still not very satisfying though. It's like we're just a spectator to the interesting characters even after all this training.
>>

"No way! If you keep him pinned, I'll seal him away. Ai, Kichiro, look for Tomiko! She's gotta be nearby somewhere!"

Kichiro nods. "Right!" He leaps off quickly, but Ai hesistates. It's clear she wants to stay and fight, but she resigns and goes to help her hardheaded friend.

You stand next to Usagi, despite the demonic power flowing through him making your skin crawl. Despite it you grin. "I knew you were too cool to actually be joining up with these jerks."

Usagi looks at you, surprised. "You think I'm cool?"

He fires off another shot, this time blowing away Makoto's leg. Edo Tensai can barely keep up, attempting to reform his body but unable to match Usagi's arrows. You note that each bolt he fires is covered in the same aura around his body, meaning he's turned a near impenetrable shield into a piercing offense. In front of you, this man who has terrorized you and your friends a number of times, is being reduced to nothing.

Makoto pounds his fist into the dirt. "D-damnit! What'd that bitch bring me back for!? THIS IS BULLSHIT!"

He throws a tantrum, and you slowly walk over to him. Usagi fires another arrow that soars past your head, blowing your hair around. Both of Makoto's arms are torn off, and he's little more than a torso with a single leg now. You kneel down, and tilt his jaw up so that he has to look at you. "You're going away forever now. You're just the first, too. I'll never forget the twisted things you've done, especially to the woman on the doorstep of the Academy. You people only look to cause chaos, with no regard for how it affects the lives of others around you. It's over!"

You unfurl the scroll, and strike a handsign. The scroll continues to unfurl, and encases Makoto from head to toe like a mummy. Starting from the bottom, just as his feet start to reform. He's looking up at you with bulging, angry eyes, spitting every sort of curse imaginable. The scroll wraps over his arms and chest, and finally, his loud mouth.

Behind you, Usagi's cloak dissipates. His duty done, the beast's chakra leaves him. He passes out, hitting the ground. You quickly rush over, worried, but you chuckle as you note that he's soundly asleep.

Kichiro and Ai climb back up, tossing the mangled body of Otozawa in front of you. Ai steps over. "We couldn't find Tomiko, but he was left alone."

Kichiro puts his foot on top of Otozawa's heads. "Must suck having shitty friends, huh?"

----

That's all for tonight folks. Mission successful! You've permanently sealed away an old foe, retrieved Usagi, and caught a Jashinist for interrogation. Job well done.

I'll be around for some questions, and I think I'll be running again on Friday.
>>
>>1141577
Mini, just to assuage this anon's worries, how would it have gone if, say Bort were here instead of us?
>>
>>1141577

That's just what we want the enemy to think, Anon.
>>
>>1141590
He'd have been totally ineffectual as a leader. People on your side would have surely been outsmarted, with Tomiko being able to summon earlier in the fight. Not only that but without Danpei's assistance, Usagi would have likely been able to knock some people out. He wouldn't kill anyone, but he was totally intending to escape with the Jashinist until Ai's life was put directly in danger, and he realized Makoto was going to kill everyone.

Without a good leader your friends aren't as effective. Plus, without you, the only person who'd be capable of using this Seal would be Ai. (You need at least minimal experience to do it. I decided to let it be a freebie jutsu since it'd be a be a bit of a waste of time.)

They wouldn't have done the plan to prepare the explosives on the cliffside. They wouldn't have been able to interrogate the initial group of dummies nearly as effectively.

Really I could go on and on

All sorts of things could have gone wrong.
>>
>>1141588
HAHAHA We did it.
Man that was easier than i thought it would be, guess we played it smarter normal huh.
Was there anyway we could have got Tomiko too, that shit would have made my day.
Either way i'll be content for until next time with the knowledge that we aced our mission.
>>
>>1141613
So how happy with the performance will the Leaf and stone be? Did we make usagi's day calling him cool?
>>
>>1141590
I think you're missing the point of that guy's complaint
>>
>>1141618
Tomiko is extremely slippery, and she was always willing to dispose of Otozawa at any point.

>>1141627
I wasn't referring to his complaint, but rather the anon's question of what could have gone wrong. People from the start of this quest have wanted to play a support role in a world full of much more powerful people, but still prove to be effective. I think that's pretty cool, other people seem to think it's cool too.

That anons needs will be serviced at some point, but really, there's already other naruto based quests where being really special and powerful is the MC's thing. They can't all be the same.
>>
>>1141638
>People from the start of this quest have wanted to play a support role in a world full of much more powerful people
Yep, this is a big reason why I find this quest so attractive.
>>
>>1141638
How annoyed is Jashinist leadership that we keep coming up in mission debriefs being an annoying shit to them?
>>
>>1141638
Surely we could find a happy medium between being support and also not being completely ineffectual in combat
>>
>>1141664
Speaking of, we should really start practicing our taijutsu again. That stuff our older brother showed us was badass.
>>
>>1141664
We haven't been? We went toe to toe in melee against Shozoku. Remember the sand mission where we made a rockfall and killed a whole array of dudes? We're a support, we the most dangerous when people are not focused on us.
>>
>>1141664
But we have. The issue is our targets are literally the hardest to put down.
>>
>>1141681
Don't forget the multiple occasions where we've managed to paralyze large groups of people and open them up for our teammates. Also there's the way we fight; if the fight is dragged out, we almost assuredly win. Whether it be through weapons, poison, genjutsu, or just good strategy.
>>
>>1141686
The should be incapacitated for a while if we destroy their heads and whatnot, right?
>>
>>1141664
Is support not effective in combat?

I know what you mean, but it's not like you don't contribute at all to the fight. I promise you anon, at some point you'll be as powerful as you want to be. I just don't want to rush things, I'm trying to be very deliberate in my pacing.

Like right now it's a big thing that your training is slowing down to such an extreme because of your age. You're limited in ways that the "Geniuses" of your generation aren't.

And you make up for it I think. You're an effective commander.
>>
>>1141704
If you kill the brain they die. Directly attacking the spine/brain is the way to go generally.
>>
>>1141638
Mini what's our team looking like right now? Any chance of a jashinist reprisal before we get to safety?

>>1141699
Pretty much, we're that one fucking enemy that's annoying one on one but turns into god damn demonic bats with allies.

>>1141704
destroying their heads will kill a bog standard one, yeah. But only the mooks will let you get a clean hit like that in. An Edo Tensei is immortal unless you seal it or get the summoner to stop it.
>>
>support not effective in combat

Green Mage(Debuff/Support) says hi
>>
>>1141710
It seems like our jet sheath is the perfect tool for that then. It allows us to close in fast if people aren't careful. From there we could go for decapitation, or put on an explosive tag, etc...
>>
>>1141704
The issue is more keeping track of them.

We can weather damn near any assault, and we can work around damn near any defense, but we can't do both at once.

Mini, do the owls have any sort of sensory jutsu that can be utilized mid-combat?

What about upgrading the False Place to allow for more complex illusions?
>>
>>1141714
You've got some shrapnel to pick out of your arm, and Ai's still gonna be coughing for a bit from the tear gas.

Kichiro's knuckles are bloody and scraped, but it's all stuff you can heal fairly easily. You're safe for now, as Tomiko is alone and completely focused on escape.
>>
>>1141738
What's Danpei's opinion on us? We getting a favorable report from the him to the owls.
>>
>>1141735
There's a couple more advanced visual Genjutsu you could learn. You're ready to master some B ranked ones I think.

As for Owls, each Owl comes pre-set with their own jutsu. Danpei just has Wind Bullets since he's the most minor summon, as his main function is a scout/suppressive fire. When you're able to summon better owls they could have something like that.
>>
>>1141752
I meant more stuff we could learn. Owl training is a thing, yes?
>>
>>1141762
Ah, yes. They're ready to show you some new stuff when you next visit them.

As for sensory jutsu, there is one or two. Don't want to spoil though.
>>
>>1141752
Can we level Genjutsu soon? We get a lot of mileage out of it despite it being 2.5.
>>
>>1141770
Yes, I think once you learn one more B rank you'll get some stat points.
>>
Are there any genjutsu that can specifically bypass magic eye dickery?
>>
Yeah, I'm into any kind of sensory technique training. Support , battlefield control, and command are pretty useless if you don't have a clear idea of what's going on. We need a way to see through all the bullshit. Turns out ninjas are REALLY GOOD at hiding and misdirection, what a surprise!
>>
>>1141768
Fair enough. I suppose we'll have to ask the ramenkage for a two week training leave.
>>
>>1141768
How would we get back to the Owl Village anyways? Can we just teleport there now, or do we still need to hitch a ride?
>>
>>1141751
He's kind of amazed how good of a leader you are. Nothing but praise, even if he thinks you're a bit of a total weirdo.

Weirdos tend to be really effective in this world though.

>>1141790
It'd just take a couple of days, but yes it's wise to ask.

>>1141792
Summon Danpei once you get close to the forest where you first met them, and an Owl will carry you back there. Yoshikage I think the old owl's name was? I
>>
>>1141752
That reminds me... how did Danpei know to pack sunscreen? Can Owls know where they're going before they get summoned? Or is Danpei just prepared for stuff that nobody else thinks of?

>>1141770
We probably should, yeah. If our training is slowing down, then we should focus on stats that are easier to level up.
>>
>>1141788
Sharingan is explicitly immune to anything not Sharingan based. (it's the Anti-genjutsu eye)

But yeah we can hit the Byakugan(anti-taijutsu) and Rinnegan (Anti-ninjutsu) with genjutsu.

>>1141792
we hitch a ride or get reverse summoned via the contract we signed.
>>
>>1141800
Is our older brother gonna be able to show us some more of that kickass taijutsu he did soon?
How's The Fighting!!! Quest coming along?
>>
>>1141805
Danpei always has a pack full of random items for any survival situation.

>>1141816
Yes, he can show you some more stuff the next time you train with him.

As for The Fighting Quest, once Part 1 of this is over I'll be starting.

There's two more missions of Boruto Quest, so probably about six threads or so. I'm guessing it'll be about a month when I start that and finish this.
>>
>>1141805
Owls were the paranoid support summons. he probably has a nuclear bomb disarming guide in his backpack from before the apocalypse happened then aliens gave us magic.

>>1141840
How happy will Nalt, Kakashi and the other mission planners and elders be with our performance?
>>
>>1141848
Well, everyone's going to be psyched that you've caught a Jashinist Captain as well as completeing your mission.

Interrogating him is gonna be beneficial
>>
>>1141840
Nice Mini, it great to see you have all your shit together. Your and inspiration to us all.

>>1141848
Its funny how Naruto lore is when you step back and look at it.
But yeah can we get a round of reactions, I'm guessing Ai and Kichiro are happy this mission went well.
Usagi isn't upset that we ruined his master plan is he.
>>
>>1141868
Ai feels a bit of self loathing for having her back turned, but she'll be fine. Kichiro is as positive as ever.

Usagi is feeling kind of mixed. He doesn't really care his plan didn't work, he was just going through a really rough time and felt desperate to get out of it. The Jashinists murders were getting pinned on him, so he figured if he could drag out the leader people would respect him. But he's happy with this too, as long as they get exposed for the things they've been doing.

With Otozawa as a prisoner just that will happen.
>>
>>1141887
So is Usagi gonna be suspended from the field after this?
>>
>>1141806
If I remember correctly, Sharingan can get fucked over by the fog jutsu since the mist is made of almost pure chakra.

Sharingan can see chakra but cant see through it, so they would be as blind as a normal person in that fog

as far as genjutsu goes I dont think anything can beat a Sharingan at genjustsu except another sharingan
>>
>>1141906
Yeah pretty much what I said. Only Sharingans genjutsus beat the sharingan. Fog jutsu is useful ninjutsu for beating them. Also once we get boil we can make acid mist or basic mist or even alcohol mist.
>>
>>1141901
Forced vacation yeah. But the village is going to be putting out some public notices and trying to reform the public opinion.

Usagi did kill a guard though. Granted, it was only because he took things into his own hands when the village wouldn't listen to his claims about the Jashinists. No one wants to admit that they're spreading into your country.

>>1141906
correct on all points
>>
>>1141924
So since Usagi has free time, would he down for joint training sessions? Seems like he could use somebody to hang out with.
>>
>>1141924
Guard was a jashinist I take it? How much of a hit did they take in the Stone after this snafu?

Also vacation to where?
>>
>>1141924
can we take Usagi back with us to the leaf for some bullshit reason? say Jashinists would show up to snatch him or something?

I think him seeing how the leaf would treat a Jinchuuriki would be beneficial to him
>>
>>1141936
>>1141950
>>1141943

He'll be staying in the Stone. I only meant vacation in terms of time off work. His squad mates will hang out with him a lot after this, which'll make him feel better. They feel very shitty.

The Jashinist presence in the stone is minimal, as outside the main village, there's not too many settlements. They flourish in areas where there isn't a big military force.
>>
>>1141950
Plus Naruto could help him out with controlling his tailed beast's chakra better.
>>
>>1141967
Well at least he's not gonna be shunned quite so hard anymore. Can't wait to get back to the leaf and try out our new suit.
>>
>>1141967
So how Salty is shozoku hearing about this?
>>
>>1142022
He's 10/10 mad, this is gonna motivate him pretty hard
>>
>>1142026
Have the other Jashinist leaders gotten sick of hearing our name being a monkey wrench in their plans?
>>
>>1142043
He IS the Jashinist leader.

The cult's rise of power was due to him taking the mantle as a prophet of pain.

I forget how much exactly I've explained. I know I've hinted at a lot of stuff and told some, but there's some specifics that are important. The main deal is that he ran away from the Leaf at a very young age (is Ai's twin brother), got kidnapped because of the clan he was in, and was trained as a killer for several years by a group of lone assassins.

Then he escaped this group after too much abuse, and found the Jashinists. Things had already snapped inside of him at that point, and at the ripe age of 10, he killed their leaders.

Jashin took favor upon him and gave him the secrets to immortality, which he then used to spread his message and draw people in. Almost three years later, his cult has expanded quite a bit.

He's basically the Anti-Christ. There's considerably more detail but all that stuff will get shown over time if I can put it in without clogging things up.
>>
>>1142071
>The guy who looks just like us is the Anti-Christ

foreshadowing much Mini?
>>
>>1142076
maybe a tad
>>
>>1142081
So how many subordinates/Lieutenants does he have left besides Tomiko?
>>
>>1142100
Asuka and Tomiko are all that's left. Getting Usagi would have been a huge victory for him.

He's still got some decently powerful immortal ninja, but most of them aren't on the same level as the others.

The issue is that the type of people after easy immortality are sort of lazy.
>>
>>1142112
>The issue is that the type of people after easy immortality are sort of lazy.

So True. And the amount of bloodthirsty as fuck true believers is kinda hard because most get thrown in jail or killed.
>>
>>1142138
Or, like Koji, and also the guy who used Seals in the sand, they have their own political interests and don't purely want to follow an ideology of violence.

Ego is a big factor.
>>
>>1142164
Well yeah, True zealots are hard as fuck to find. Could Leaf Ninja reverse engineer the immortality to make them mortal?
>>
>>1142171
Nah, the immortality is actual magic. Even more magic than chakra.

Jashin is real
>>
>>1142081
Who even is the counterpart of Jashin in this setting

Gods don't seem to play a big part aside from being referenced by name in jutsus on occasion.
>>
>>1142171
Well, they DO have the resident expert on immortality on speed-dial.

>>1142177
Wow, that makes things more complicated. On the other hand, that makes Orochimaru even more bullshit since he literally out-magicked a God. I'm pretty sure he's actually MORE immortal than they are!
>>
>>1142180
Jashin is an "Old" god, think lovecraft. He was forgotten.

Other dimensional beings are canon, so.

There's no real counterpart to him.

I have expected something significant to happen since the reveal

Personally hoping down the line for some sensory, sealing, and medical proficiency (custom poisons), as well as some non elemental jutsu. Swole gains and a slow focus on mastering fire and eventually earth or wind. We might not get all five but four wouldn't be bad at all. Do note that two weeks of cramming just fire let us learn the basics, and that was the HARDEST element. In two or so months we could learn the other three barebones, although we would have to space it out a bunch because of other training and missions.

It's more we can do most everything we do with a smile on our face. What's more disconcerting is it's not a sadistic one.
>>
>>1144076
Are we like the only successful ninja without some convoluted and/or tragic backstory?
>>
>>1144422
We have a "tragic backstory".
We don't have parents remember.
And even then Boruto has had a pretty free of tragic shit.
>>
>>1144449
I don't think our backstory is all that tragic as Takeshi doesn't seem all that broken up about having no parents. I think it actually gives him a better connection to the rest of his family then it would otherwise.
And Boruto is a shit.
>>
>>1144527
Quest!Boruto is alright.
He wasn't a complete shit when we meet him at our party so I'll take that as him starting to grow up after we humbled him in front of his mother, and the whole village.
Salad is next. No one will ever look down on us again.
>>
>>1144572
A lot harder, all Genjutsu are useless against her and she takes us seriously.
>>
>>1144608
pepper spray no jutsu!
>>
>>1144613
She'd still punch us the fuck out.
>>
>>1144608
Chakra fog, poison, and explosives sound like they'd work well enough. I also feel like the only way to get a fight with her now is to challenge her directly, meaning we'd probably choose the location. That'd help a lot too.

>>1144621
Most likely.
Though disabling her eyes with irritants is a good idea I think.
>>
>>1144628
Tear Gas would also work pretty well. On that note, I suggest we get a gas-mask and goggle at some point.
>>
>>1144608
Yeah that's the thing that got me fucked up.
She takes us seriously but she still underestimates us in her own condescending way. It has gotten better, but even now she still convinced she could easily beat us as long as her guard is up.
That's why i like her so much. She's confident to the point of arrogance, and with her skills she has every right to be. What i want more than her to simply eat her words is for her to have that level of confidence in our abilities. That would make my cock explode into bits.

But yeah at this point the task of taking her out is way simpler. Eye irritants + Hidden Mist is already a two hit combo that takes out her most valuable trait. All we need then is some way to deal with her retard strength and the overwhelming force of her ninjustu which we kinda have already thanks to water release and we are golden.
>>
>>1144905
If we can hit her with some type of fatigue poison early on, her strength should be impaired on top of her not being able to catch up to us in the first place.
>>
>>1144953
>fatigue poison
Didn't we run out of that shit. If not wont she just remove that shit anyway.

>not being able to catch up to us in the first place
I keep forgetting we have top tier speed, but i'm sure she's just as fast as we are. Character Compendium when Mini?
>>
Do we still have that one super special awesome poison that one person gave us?
Cause i remember we did't even use it in the chunin exams so it must be around and we had like 3 doses of the stuff.
>>
>>1144980
If she's gonna take the time to remove the poison, that's just another opening for us to exploit.
>>
>>1145010
we used it once in the exams to stop Usagi's rampage.
>>
>>1145015
Fair enough man.
I'm just saying considering it's Salad we're talking about here she could probably do it in like 3 seconds, while fighting with only her feet or otherwise evading our attacks.

>>1145022
Good times.
I wonder how much shit he got for losing like that.
>>
>>1145037
Which is why we have to use everything we have available. We could barrage her with Roof Tile Shuriken Jutsu and place explosive tags while she's dodging. Or we could throw our training weights at her and try to get behind her while she dodges.
The point is, she'd be difficult to defeat, but everybody loses the game of strategy with Takeshi.
We just need to set up a plan while we're making it look like we're doing something else.
>>
>>1144953
>>1144980
>>1145010

That was a neurotoxin that your Academy teacher, Shino Aburama, gave you. You had three uses of it and used it twice in the exams I think, and then once in a later mission.

Your generic poison actually affects fatigue. If you hit someone with generic poison it'll wear them down stamina wise, and the bigger the dose the faster it happens.

This wouldn't really diminish her strength though, as her strength is entirely a product of chakra control. Even if she could flick a finger it would mess you up.
>>
>>1143906
Not many, actually. Remember, Naruto can actually actively sense evil, and as far as he can tell your intentions are as good as his.
>>
>>1145130
We could still go Psycho-pass on his ass. That could be a surprisingly effective crossover now that I think about it.
>>
>>1145120
I only remember using it on Usagi and that one sand ninja.
>>
>>1145153
I think you might be right anon. I'm not sure, it's been about a year.

Even so, since that was meant for a time when you were really, really week, I think I'd say that the poison has expired since then, since it's biologically based.

>>1145151
I'm not familiar with psycho-pass
>>
>>1145163
You should watch it, it's pretty good.

I mean Naruto can sense evil INTENT, not evil ACTIONS. So if someone committed a crime with a totally clear conscience and no ill will he wouldn't be able to tell. I'm not sure Takeshi is on the "pure-hearted murderer" level, but I totally see the potential for it.
>>
>>1145195
Ahh I see, yes that's more or less exactly what it is I believe.

It depends on who you're killing I think. You've killed dozens of people in a row with nary a second guess before, but whenever it comes to an ally you've always tried your best to end things non lethally.
>>
>>1145130
>Naruto can actually actively sense evil
What? How the fuck did he manage that?
>>
>>1145398
multiclassed into paladin
>>
>>1145398
It has to do with his SSJ Jesus Demon mode (as I've come to calling it)

When he goes all gold and stuff.
>>
>>1145153
>>1145163

IIRC you don't remember the last usage because it failed, and was forgotten in the bustle that was the first Shozoku fight.

Mini, do you think it would be possible to get the Iron skin style of the mist, and stack it up with the same jutsu that one jashinist uses to create incredibly durable skin? I want to pull an Aizen/Armstrong and grab a sword with our bare hand and break it.
>>
>>1145427
Thank you anon, I thought I was crazy for a second.

As for doing that cool stuff, it'd be possible with either or. The skin-to-stone jutsu (the name escapes me: Earth Spear I think) is an S ranked earth jutsu, and even an S ranked jutsu with your primary element would be extremely difficult right now.

The iron skin is possible with a couple more years of training though. Either or could potentially do that.
>>
>>1145432
Would it be possible to learn Sakura and Tsunade's chakra empowered tajutsu when we get a larger pool of chakra?
>>
>>1145451
Yes it would.
>>
>>1145457
I can only imagine how badass our taijutsu would be if we use it in conjunction with the Iron Skin style.
All these possibilities man. Tons of shit to learn.
>>
>>1145432
>S rank jutsu

Not even an A? How the hell did some kid learn a-

Whatever, i should've expected as such with prodigies and what not. Still, we can get some damn cool stuff, and we have to Aizen at least ONE SWORD dramatically in this quest. My heart needs it.

>>1145462
I imagine Takeshi ending up fighting somewhere in between the second and third hokage's kinda, massive versatility and trickery, and no real weakness as a fighter as well as powerful spread strengths
>>
>>1145556
Otozawa is actually 15, keep in mind this is the same age as Naruto and Sasuke during part 2.

He might seem really tough, but imagine what you could be like in two years of training.
>>
>>1145560
I forget, did you say you were gonna do a timeskip?

Yes, he did.

Agreed. Takeshi is basically a good version of Kabuto+Aizen+Orochimaru, after all.
We should really learn some science shit guys. Science + Boil = Advanced Fuckery.

But then he won't be the underdog!

Takeshi will be a monster by sheer training. He's that one guy who perfects the 60 button combo on a game.

>>
Hey Mini, is Kichiro's name a reference to Creedence Clearwater Revival, or is it just some generic Japanese name?
>>
>>1147082
I did intentionally name him fortunate son as a reference to his family falling out of grace, but wasn't thinking of the band at the time.

I do love them and it fits well though, good eye

>>1145649
About 2.5 years
>>
>>1147983
I was just googling their names to try and figure out good aliases and codenames for our squad.
If Kichiro gets famous to the point where he gets a nickname, it should definitely be CCR song that somehow can be related to demons, what with his signature Jutsu being Bath House Oni. As for Ai, I think something like "Asura" would fit pretty well considering her skill-set.
I can't really think of a nickname for Takeshi that fits with the conventions I put forward for the rest of the team.
>>
>>1148021
Indeed, he's not very demonic right now. If anything Shozuku is like a demonic Takeshi, in terms of personality.
>>
>>1148037
I forgot to ask. While I was wiki-diving, I saw that apparently Mitsuki has access Sage Mode at some point. Can he do that right now in this quest's timeline?
>>
>>1148213
Fuck that's hardcore. Nah, he can't do that at the moment. Saving that pic though
>>
>>1148237
I don't keep up with Naruto, but from what I've seen Mitsuki is a fucking badass. He's the best genetically engineered genin there ever was.
>>
>>1148240
He's highly top tier in this quest, firmly up there with Boruto and Sarada.

Post time-skip he'll probably be closer to his canon power levels.
>>
>>1148251
I'm a little embarrassed to ask at this point, but what number designation is our team (Takeshi, Ai, and Kichiro) again?
>>
>>1148261
13
>>
>>1148269
That's kinda ironic considering how lucky we are.
>>
>>1148273
You both are and you aren't. Other people are far more fortunate in terms of their status, talent, wealth, or inherited abilities.

There are times at which you're actually lucky, though. I also like to think that Takeshi thinks of himself as lucky, in that he has such a colossal challenge to overcome. Without the others he wouldn't have the motivation to do what he does.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQ5POMdbvXY
>>
>>1148021
Takeshi has access to a fucking Collective Consciousness. Even though he does not realize it. Takeshi is Legion.
>>
>>1148422
So Legion, Asura, and Burning Oni?
It's hard trying to hype up a bunch of 13 year olds.
>>
Takeshi given schizophrenia meds when? Would that end the quest?
>>
>>1148437
>So what type of symptoms have you been suffering from?
>Well...I keep hearing a bunch of voices in my head shouting about salad in tin foil and something called "best girl". They also keep talking about this Aizen guy. I have no idea who that is.
>>
>>1148439
>They also keep talking about making a jutsu that will make people shit themselves and vomit uncontrollably

Evening anons. I came here to announce that I won't be running tonight unfortunately, as I'm fairly sleepy and don't think a cup of coffee is enough to keep me going for several hours.

>>1149354
So stealthy! Truly Takeshi is a master shinobi

(greatly look forward to seeing this)
>>
>>1149362
Ah there it is. Thanks anon! I love how it's looking, great work on the jacket and hair especially
>>

Thanks Mini
Shame about your lack of sleep though, when do you think you will run next?
>>
>>1149389
7 PM Tomorrow night is my goal. I also posted on twitter, you can follow @Miniseries_Anon

Truthfully I may get in touch with a friend I haven't seen in a while though, so it could also be postponed until sunday. I'll keep everyone informed of what's happening though.

>>1151998
Orochimaru's on our side now though. Everyone just kinda forgot about all the horrible child experimentation.
>>
>>1152276
Sort of. Naruto and Sasuke know he's still alive and would kill him if they found him at this point, knowing he has in fact gone on to continue his lifestyle (though not nearly at the same rate. He's gotta work hard to stay hidden)
>>
>>1152345
Be funny to run into him before the timeskip and spend it training under him. Won't happen though.
>>
>>1152365
Or Kabuto could train us
>>
>>1152369
Oreo is better.
>>
>>1152345
But what about Bort and Salad's teammate? Isn't he one of Orochimaru's experiments?
>>
>>1152394
His son, yes. But he's not being raised by dad. Totally independent and more or less raised by Naruto and the village.
>>
>>1152400
... Than how did he get the snake contract? How did the Leaf come to be in possession of him?
>>
>>1152417
Snakes aren't loyal to Orochimaru, they're loyal to anyone they respect. Mitsuki, as an experiment, had a partial access to the Snake Sage mode when he was younger and broke away from Orochimaru and escaped to the Leaf.

But he can't really control it. (In the manga he can but for the quest he's not able yet) He's kind of a freak.

Naruto and Sasuke had him escorted to the Snake Cave and he got the summon contract from them after revealing his partial control over his powers.
>>
>>1152444
Oh. Well, if it won't spoil anything, could you tell us if Orochimaru has even heard of us, and if so what he thinks?
>>
>>1152469
I actually can't disclose that, sorry. You will know some more about that before part 1 is over though.
>>
>>1152501
Aw, well thanks anyway. You still planning on running tonight?
>>
>>1152549
Yes, I'll be starting in about an hour
>>
We're probably gonna get framed by shozoku, and the other nations will pressure the leaf into exiling us

And thats when we get into deeeeeeo shit
