Rolled 77 (1d100)

Currently you are the amnesiac survivor who dabbles in magics, trade, exploring, and other forces. Currently trying to explore the eerie town that while oddly intact is entirely abondoned. Not to mention being jammed very heavily for some unknown. Not to mention apparently its extremely easy to get lost on the way here. So far you discovered a strange if chill undead shanty town who really like to fish at the nearby lake. Some still functional old world auto security systems and evidence of active rampancy.

You were suppose to encounter your bandit necromancer girlfriend's sister Turbo but she has yet to show up. As of now you retreated from the police station after discovering a bogus system with some drones that infiltrated through the sewers. That was covering up a second far more important one. That was when you decided to go visit the undead shanty town and after following the directions of the magic skull. You successfully summoned and bound your very first ghost.

That is where you are currently.

>Go scavenging in the town
We've spent quite a while trying to get into secure locations, but now let's ransack some unguarded buildings. Also everyone on our team is encouraged to look for a vehicle they like and claim it as their own.
>>

>>1199397
Supporting, maybe use some cars in neutral as a caravan? More loot boys. Guess we're waiting for Turbo

We wish: Over the next 2 weeks Slates memories will return to him bit by bit along with Elite Ranks in all his currently known and forgotten skills, making him "Found" while not driving him MAD.

You mean like a train of cars chained end to end? That sounds like a terrible idea. Best keep it to one vehicle per driver.

>>1199685
That might be better. Honestly I don't know, but it does seem a bit more reasonable than just getting struck by lightning or whatever and suddenly knowing EVERYTHING. (Yet not being MAD)
>>
>>1200547
Or do you just mean loading them up for later and getting Turbo to provide a driver? Well, we still aren't doing that before we have our own vehicles packed to capacity.
>>
>>1200610
This one. Get'em set up, maybe have a car chained to the back as a trailer once. but not some long chain. Basically doubling our capacity and then even more when back up arrives.
>>
Rolled 44 (1d100)

>>1200654
I guess that's a good idea if we have time. I mainly meant it to be a somewhat personal bonus for our guys, but we can change it to go purely for cargo capacity. But it would probably be better to just use some trucks with trailers if we're doing that, assuming we can find them.
>>
Rolled 80 (1d100)

>>1200654
>>1200695
Although really I just want to do some quick looting to make sure we have something to show for this trip.

I actually think after this action we should try to bring around the shantytown undead. Or at least look into it like I was trying to a little while ago.

We also need to get know our ghost. And on a related note, start speaking with the skull often.

Actually forget it, we agree that our guys should steal some shit and possibly jack some rides (maybe it's not stealing when it's an abandoned town that simply no one else took stuff from first, but you know.) and do so while avoiding any potential hazards, as few as they may currently be in this town.

So consensus?

I just got an idea. Is it possible to use psi to (temporarily) calm crazies? What if we could become a hero to the insane?

I got the idea from thinking about recruiting a crazy, which I don't know if that's a good idea. And if we're going to do that...we might have to first go see the Mad Nightmare first.

Bandits cannot scavenge. They are able to loot forces with RAID and salvage as per normal(though in their case their salvage efforts are more loot inspired). Which technically means they can even raid Zombie hives. Fun stuff Raid but also limited.

Now if only you had brought your Survivor forces with...now those guys know how to scavenge.

Crazies are just as likely to ruin your day as the enemies. Which is why bandits like to use them especially when they are in a pinch. As taking a gamble is better then being fucked. Even if it means if it fails your gonna be even more fucked then you were previously. But hey if your gonna end up dead either way why not?

Basically MAD forces are great if you wanna gamble.

Ever since the Fall bandits are the only ones who regularly field the MAD influenced crazies.

As for using psi to temporarily calm calm crazies its possible. Especially if they aren't the MADNESS variant. Otherwise due to the unpredictable MADNESS it could work, but most likely the poor bastard poking around inside their head is gonna take a beating mentally.

Insane heroes do exist.

I just dropped my name. Sorry for causing confusion.

I'm a bit unclear on becoming "Found," but it really seems like a, how should I say, a story thing? Like it involves resolving the stuff from Slate's past or something. Including it as part of the wish might be pushing it.

I am uncertain as to whether this wish is the one we should make, but I do not feel that I am capable of evaluating a wish, neither positively nor negatively. Guess I'll just have to see how it works out.

I have figured out all the problems relating to Petyr and Abigail quest so that option is now a go.

For this quest I been trying to worm into more X-COM action with little success given my expertise with hard difficulty and challenge . However soon you will have access to researching and even sooner to manufacturing. Because spoiler that isn't quite a spoiler. Your boss is about to finish that huge manufacturing hub and bring it online. Which means you get access to juicy manufacturing.

Which will include a not so limited bot selection from then on.

Another neat bonus as result of your bandit hell training you will gain access to recruiting bandit forces at will. Mostly thanks to that and your bosses work with N. You'll have access to bandit recruiting grounds and resources. You can thank the arrangement with N's alliance and your own hard work for that. Sadly you wont get much beyond troops if you don't take advantage of your Trader trait or work making them like you more.

Another thing you have going(soonish) is if you keep working on befriending the survivors you'll gain access to their special stuff. Meaning more types of forces and access to their incredible quirks. Plus being in better with the post apocalyptic version of non evil roaches can have some unexpected benefits.

Also be aware that if you pick a fight with your sister she has the Ass Biter bandit faction behind her. Even with TSO's direct help you'll still be facing off against against their multiple heroes. Another thing to keep in mind if you get rid of lost you lose its easy hybridizing ability. so its something you shouldn't rush into unless your finished with what it has to offer. So its something to think carefully about.

You can take on your sisters forces just...not right now unless you wanna get wrecked. TSO technically isn't a faction. He is a unaligned hero. Now your other enemies are lest likely to be so difficult to face so soon and it may be a good idea before they start finding out they have a common enemy(aka you).

Also consider taking advantage of the fact you get a first person perspective of the world. You can delve into other spooky sites and other weirdness. Just don't go solo. that is how you die even if your a hero. With notable exceptions like the terrifyingly powerful and vile bandit Reaver.
>>
Rolled 11 (1d100)

>>1202314
Yes, this sounds good. We should also consider how our ghost could help with clandestine observation and potentially sabotage. (If we don't see any sign of Turbo and instead go scout the armory. But also in general, for the future.)

>>1202387
This is good. Personally, I don't actually want to fight sis; I'd rather find some other way to settle things, if that's even possible.

Hoping we can continue improving our ties with survivors and/or expand to others such as cultists. Staying Lost a while longer seems like what we want to do, I actually had a couple rough ideas of how the hybridization it offers could be used. Like how we're a boy toy, but being a necromancer will drain our libido, which obviously could seriously dampen our ability to please the ladies...but what if we combine them somehow?
>>
>>1202538
The Unyielding Bone...I actually like that idea...as utterly stupid as it is, that with the Wish granting us immense power we literally go for the "Through Dick, Unity" Route. We battle our foes until beaten then shag them into submission. Become the real Mr.Unicorn of legend

You have found indications of yet another force has started to make its way into town. According to your bandits they carry the same symbol of a certain warband made up of a trio of sisters and a little brother. They apparently have yet to move into the town in mass however, but your forces noted a few robotic scouts looking around who carry the markers.

Vitals indicate that while alive...they appear to be in a deep state of hibernation. Even their cell activity was incredibly low. Most of the data displayed the tek's admit you'll need a Dok to understand most of it.

After that they started to findle with the controls and oddly ignored the control panels they found. Instead breaking them open underneath and poking around at the wires. While muttering to each other before suddenly the little drone zipped away and approached a seemingly blank wall. That had a panel opened and then some wires were cut into. Suddenly the walls shimmered and dropped. Revealing a much smaller set of controls. There the little drone approached and cut into before poking around.

"Found it the Master Controls equipped with the overrides. Sadly no direct override key present, but this should be the next best thing," informs a Tek "According to the now mostly unblocked info in this computer...these are clone troopers. Stored here in case of a 'state of emergency'. They could be awoken and equipped in the armory. Thereby providing an nigh instant army."

"Fucking paranoid and fantastical pre fall civilizations as usual. Only they would stash an entire army and equipment included in some no name town. If things went well these guys never would of been woken up, but things didn't go according to plan and they never woke up. Hm...hey Carl take a look at this. You know the dok stuff better then I do."

"Hm...let's see here. Clone line...clone production. Hm these are numbers for how many clones that can be made. Holy shit this place is actually a fully equipped cloning facility. A small scale one from these numbers but one nonetheless. A dok would get a much better idea regarding to clone template they used but this stuff...let's see here. Here You should be able to understand it more Mordred."

"Hm...cloning cells are online but in disrepair. Clone feeding and stock is still optimal. Warning regards degradation of clone stock should it be used to heavily. Now where is the info their stores and refilling...unfortunately there is no restocking besides a backup gene sampling when degradation reaches critical levels. No info relating to resupply except for contacting Command and HQ. So unfortunately once this place is tapped out we will have to rely upon ourselves. Let's see here...auto security system is online and we cannot access it from here."

"However they shouldn't be able to identify the clones as hostiles...so long as we don't attack them anyway. We have the overrides so the clones should listen to us. However all clones beyond this first batch will be newborn and like the veteran first batch who were put in storage here. Let's see if there is a garage here....no garage but there is instructions to a vehicular graveyard with a hidden parts storage."

"If only we a had dok with us."

The only facility that is marked down in the data banks that you have access to is the vehicle graveyard that isn't quite a graveyard that is seemed to be. It was actually a storage site disguised as a graveyard to prevent hostiles from identifying them as the threat it really is. When you have access to the parts storage site which was meant to service the vehicles stored there and provide vehicle support to the clone army stashed here.

meanwhile runners have made contact with Turbo's forces and after awhile she finally shows up with some...rampant looking bots accompanying her.

"Been a LOONNNG time since i last dealt with Clone Tech. Virtually none of it survived the Fall except for things like the zombies. Let's check your connection here...hm bit weak just plug this port into this. And a use this box instead of that shitty one."

Which made your malteks angry calling their gear shitty until they saw what her bots put down which shut them up.

"And here we go...wait for the downloads. transfering data and activating compression process. Replacement of data package. Detecting back doors and connection nodes. Infiltrating nodes with false data packages. Back doors are mostly dead...damn jamming. If it weren't for that i could of possibly discovered some very good things."

"Alright I have now bypassed some of the security installations...hm...fuck they got a Cored Security AI. QUICK YOU EMPTY CANS PLUG IN THE BOX," shouts Turbo as suddenly the screen started to crackle and alerts started popping up. That was when the bots plugged in a mysterious looking box hanging off to the side "Damn it they are trying to block us out...quarantining systems. Damn it all they have anti rampancy countermeasures installed and are up to date to boot. Fuck me how did these bastards get that kinda up to date technology. Damn if only i had more connections i could attempt a flood but this limited stream is killing me. I am afraid I was only able to delay the invetible. Its only a matter of time before they kick us out of the system and that is assuming they don't find that drone. Which they will and they know we are close. I do hope your ready for a fight."

If we wake up the clones and have them on our side...while they're already in the facility...our negotiating position should be more tenable.
We represent a trade organization chiefly comprised of AI who survived the Fall without going rampant. While our master is not a machine, they are quite adept at understanding machines and their needs and concerns; on the Shrouded One's behalf, we would like to make an offer of employment, although I'm sure you'll want to negotiate the details and final contract with them personally.

"Piece of AI technology...rare most people you see don't allow AI to come up with their own tech without it being checked over, but given the designs of this. Its made by AI who didn't get it checked. Difficult to tell what it can do if your not an AI or a super genius. Its not a piece of rampant technology that I can tell with just a glance. The AI who made it are sane...possibly bound but that is unlikely given the lack of being checked over. Very rare. You only see that kind of stuff with the free AI who didn't succumb to rampancy. From the looks of it its even made for human use. Even rarer still."

Clones awaken. As the cells start to drain and lift themselves. Spewing forth hacking clones who blindly scramble for a little packet that they take out swallow their contents and inject themselves with some needles. After that they get up and stumble their way down a nearby hallway into an armory where they begin to equip themselves.

A few of the clones however head towards the control panels where they start to work. Soon the chamber starts to shake and rumble. As new pods appear and rise up before spewing forth their contents and withdrawing. So it continued.

Eventually a clone officer headed towards the master controls and stopped before staring at the fact it had been cracked open. They tried to pull their gun before a voice appeared over the speakers stating some kind of code which forced the clone to lower his weapon and you were able to speak.

"...We are not merc produced clones as is common among the corps rogue commander. We are clones of the governmental army of Selu Unified Combat Forces and for the people it protects."

So they have to follow our orders, but they don't have to like it?

They may be defiant towards us...but this is because they are loyal to their government and purpose. We should find a way to use that. Offer to help them regain contact with a remnant? Perhaps not immediately, but they'll probably be a lot more effective if they're doing our bidding willingly. And how would the gov remnant react to us willingly handing over a clone army?
>>
Rolled 67 (1d100)

Woops. Meant to try talking to the AI controlling the security system. Can we do that? Is it even possible to deter it from its purpose?

>Order the clones to hold position

>Other?
Let's try negotiating with the Security AI before it opens fire. I have no idea whether or not it's as devoted to Selu as the clones are, but for now let's just try to get it to talk instead of shoot.

What's likely to get it to do that? Invoking its directive for preservation of itself and the facility? If no one else has ideas, we try that.

>>1207038
Are the cloning chambers producing new clones, or releasing ones that were in storage out of sight? Has it stopped?

>>1207106
Contrary to popular belief clones do in fact have minds of their own. It's a big reason why they were so commonly used. The only reason they are rare in the post apoc is a mixture of bioweapons, being the very first sent into the mess, and the fact the infrastructure required for their kind went kaput. Clones unfortunately required special infrastructure to produce them in a mass usable scale.

And you don't wanna know what happened to the cloning facilities that were somehow still 'functional' in the post apocalypse...

Apparently I fail really hard at running a post apoc quest when it isn't a civ so I been considering switching....what would anons think of that? Including the lurkers and old fags who left if they still bother to read it.

Not sure how I managed to screw up quest running this badly given how long I been doing it. Do I need more waifu or what? I was never the most popular but generally I would slowly build up a few anons over time...yet somehow this just isn't happening with this quest. Unlike literally any other.

I been considering doing quests that are civlike...but not quite true civs because that sorta thing I just cannot handle. Same is true with armies.

Does no one really talk or vote because they have nothing else to add? Makes the thread look awfully dead if that happens. Its not like I type real fast or post very quickly.

Which I wouldn't mind but the stagnation is something I DO mind is the problem. Which is why'd am considering to try something else. That and my health has finally started to improve a bit. So I been thinking of running a few more quests before the grand finale. Its just these one quest is do shitty and oddly dead.

So if my next quest doesn't work either then the grad finale will be around that time. As I just can't get this quest to work right for some reason. Maybe I just did it wrong. which I suppose could be in fact be true.

So do anons have anything to say about it?

>>How about some of the options
Sci Fi WAR(petyr n Abigail)
Brood Quest
Overlord Quest
Capes
Fantasy Adventure
Sci Fi Adventure
Colony
Political game
Industrial game
War Game

To see if I should even bother. Really starting to feel that way with how meaninglessness it is for me.

I think Slates issue is not you Genie it's more...we're all trying to go in different directions. I really enjoy things from this angle, I like the character interactions.

But I agree, we're kinda...well I think we are a little too disorganized. It's partially why I wanted the wish, to give us direction.

While i'd adore another Civ game I worry about the Genie's health, we need to to write your system and stories out.

>Capes
Another Super Quest? i'd be keen. Run a Hero this time.
>>
>>1207827
I actually blame /qst/ for the failure of this quest. Maybe this kind of quest just doesn't appeal to the new player base.
>>1207856
This too.

I'd prefer to explore some other part of the 'verse, but the last Super quest seemed to do pretty well. Have to wonder if that's because it ended before people had a chance to lose interest though.

Colony might be fun.
One thing I wondered about was early human space exploration. I was thinking "astronaut quest," but the concept of a human civilization extending its reach to the stars could be interesting in the context of colonization. Can it be a knock-off of Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri?

Overlord and Brood also intrigue me, while Sci Fi WAR would likely at least draw participation from veterans of that quest.

How about since it's the "Last game" we go back to the beginning, back to the primal primitive age of man? We can play as a member of a tribe or something. It's like a Civ but way fewer people and our reach far smaller? It's be like the fantasy but much more primitive. The first steps of life and civilization.

The End is where it all began
>>
Genie is there any way we can stay in touch yet or aid you with funds? I'm back to work and phone posting now till next weekend
>>
>>1208067
I like. Although if I understand Genie, this wouldn't be the Last Game...but possibly the penultimate one. But a primordial tribe, I really like that idea. Possibly early agrarian? And/or the origin of one of the great pre-industrial powers, i.e. we can see it become a nascent theocracy, kingdom, or magocracy?
But I mean it could be like Conan or something.
>>
>>1207851
The idea of playing a colony sounds neato burrito.

I don't think it's you who failed but the board that has failed you. I've said before I'll say it again this board seems to cater to the cyoa faggots that want to either A haremquest B have it easy as fuck or 3 hate consequences. Your quest has given me joy in the fact that it hasn't been an easy haremquest where consequences didn't arise.

Though the stagnation I can understand, I'm not smart enough to be a smart anon or to convince people when my paranoia kicks in. And salt, rust and I have sort of hive mind it together where we work together and typically all I've done lately is support.

I don't know what it is about post apoc that anons on this board don't like but I rarely see it done or done well for that fact

At least that is what got the most votes.

We're actually deciding? I vote colony. Regardless of what types of colony you have in mind for us as options.

Colony sounds good to be

Fantasy and sci fi.

In sci fi you get your own world due to having a colony warrant to it.

In fantasy you basically are colonists who found a 'new world' to colonize. This can be quite literal interpretation if you used say a portal and actually DID end up on an entirely different world.

It's not going to be a full blown civ game...but instead its a more simplified version. Which the end goal is obviously going to be to develop your colony until its a proper power and no longer some backwater.

It would appear things are now tied between capes and colony...capes...and colony.

Hm...oh I got a crazy idea so be it~

CAPE COLONY IT IS!

Ahahaha. Technically it IS a thing in setting!

Choose your specialization

You will be playing a cape hero in a sci fi colony. puwahah.

Due to it being a cape game fantasy will not be an option. As capes are a result of modernization and capes in fantasy era didn't wear masks.

hm...planet type also needs to be decided but I may have that decided next thread depending on how the votes fall.

World type examples are
>Volcanic
>Frozen
>Water
>Temperate
>Barren
>Mountainous
>Jungle/Marsh/Forest
>Desert
>Gas

I think that should be everything.

I want to see what we can do with this.

But with a few islands and some shallows perhaps?

Came up with this, then realized it could potentially lead to us being Aquaman.

I'll support this. An island paradise...that may not be all it seems.

Hm...realized I forgot yet another required choice

Type of Colony
>Corp Sponsored
>Faithful Sponsored
>Government Sponsored
>Prison
>Independent
>Research

I do believe that should be three most important starter required choices. It contains all the need to info. If you weren't playing a cape it would of only been these two.

Now excuse me while i go write up what the star system is gonna contain...and roll lots of dice for it. Fuck I forgot how much system generation was a pain.

We crossed the stars as the prophesy foretold, now we find the pearl aloft in the darkness and light, The Islands of Ivory and Light shall be our sanctuary and here we shall build the monument of our faith, here in the promised land

...will be rolling up the moons after this. Fuck me this star system is...crowded and no doubt located in quite the large star cluster given how the entire damned star system almost ended up with no less then FOUR FUCKING STARS.

Half of which were aborted ones but still fuck me. Oddly enough there were no asteroid belts. Apparently they all got sucked into planets or by the gas giants.

Either were A Australia but in space or B a research world that branched from the home gov that sort of ducked over their once lively eco system into the ground forcing us to move underground or something of the like

Inner system
2 stars
Volcanic World
Aborted Star aka super gas giant
Barren World
Desert World

Middle system(player world)
Mountainous World
Barren world
Jungle World

Outer system
Aborted Star aka super gas giant
Frozen World

Peculiarity of the system beyond its unusual amount of proto stars is the fact the system is largely absent of asteroids away from the gas giants. Probably due to the intense gravity fields of the two aborted stars and two stars in rotation. They would of long been crashed into worlds in case of star rotation or trapped within the fields of the super gas giants. Meaning gas giants and inner system especially are very...hazardous. The gas giant in the outer system is noteworthy for its very large number of sizable moons. Which probably would of been their own worlds if they hadn't gotten caught in its gravity field. With the sole frozen world being the sole exception.

The inner system meanwhile is even more hostile then the outer system. With two active stars rotating around each other and a super gas giant in proximity that somehow is maintaining itself despite intense solar winds. Likely due to the fact that its so fucking massive it offers additional protection from losing its atmosphere. In response however it has fewer moons and its much more volatile then its much colder kin.

After I create the moon list I will write up the intro to the new thread. I am gonna have to roll so many fucking dice thanks to those stupid gas giants and their stupidly large amount of moons. Fuck.

Single star system located in a very large and dense star cluster(otherwise I have no idea how the flying fuck your star system ended up with 2 stars and 2 aborted stars aka super gas giants). The gas giants actually did the star system a favor in terms of density but it also made the star system even more hazardous when not considering the two stars. Woe to the poor bastards who try to use gravity and to a lesser degree space utilizing FTL drives in the star system.

Using gravity drives is downright suicidal in the inner system due to the close proximity of two stars and super gas giant.

If your using grav drives your best bet is to try and fling yourself by utilizing the intense gravity wells. Otherwise you'll likely get torn to shreds even then you gotta be extremely careful. There are after all 4 massive sources of gravity in a single system. Plus side if you can use the intense gravity wells to your advantage they would provide one hell of a speed boost it just gonna be a lot more dangerous too.

Space utilizing FTL drives are a bit safer but due to not being quite as reliant upon gravity. All other kinds of FTL just gotta be extra careful.

Good news is the system is gonna be utter nightmare to invade but it will likely turn out to be a pirate haven because of the HAHAH FUCK YOU system quirks.

It's really not that complicated anon. Just a couple spinning stars and rotating planets in a oval shape around the star. Now I am not sure how you would do the moons especially given how many there are on the gas giants.
