This is Boruto Quest, a quest set in the universe of Naruto. It is during the generation of Naruto's son after everyone has graduated from their Genin exam. I haven't kept up with the series beyond the end of the original one, so this one is intended to recapture the feel of that time of Naruto. I will not be incorporating the main show or the Boruto movie's plot into the quest, although some recognizable characters will be present. You play as a 13 year old Chunin named Takeshi. You have been assigned a Jounin squad leader named Hanto, and your two squadmates are Kichiro, a young delinquent, and Ai, a strange social outcast of a girl. You are of average skill in most aspects, although your sharp intelligence, and your jack of all trades skill set have brought you far. You're a Chunin of notable talent for your age. You're about to spar with your team mate, Ai. Elsewhere, a loner relives long lost memories.

Suspended upside down from an iron bar, hanging from your legs, you groan and grit your teeth to complete the next sit-up. The only thing illuminating the underground gymnasium is a series of torches mounted on the walls. As the lights flicker, your shadow dances all around the room.

Asuka sits at the other end of the gymnasium, propped up against the stone wall. She's been your sparring partner as of late. Her skill with a sword is undeniably greater than your own, so you always appreciate the chance to face her. Tomoko is cleaning up her wounds, using her advanced healing to not only remove any damage, but also signs of scarring. That particular technique is something you deeply appreciate. The number of wounds you would still be able to see on your body would be impossible to count.

You fall back down, getting ready for another rep. You look at your two captains, suspended upside down. Asuka, with her dark skin and red hair, and Tomoko, with her long blonde hair. A month or so ago, you decided to stop putting Asuka through the brainwashing techniques and observe her behavior. As far as you can tell, she's completely acclimated to the lifestyle of being a Jashinist. Either she's come to accept and embrace her place, or she knows that she'll never be able to fully reintegrate into society.

With another groan, you reach up and complete another rep. As you're straining to reach the top, your face turns bright red. You recall the time in your life when you realized you would never be able to go back, too. Seeing someone else in that position leaves you with mixed feelings. Truthfully, there has always been some jealous element inside of you that only wanted to live a normal life. Or, as normal as it gets for a shinobi. Before you killed your foster father, you always had the dream of being a great shinobi like the past members of your fallen clan.

Like most times of exertion or difficulty, you hearken back to your memories of the first time you murdered. Some shinobi say killed, or even more coldly. eliminated. You'll never think like that, though. What you did was a terrible, bloody murder. When you were four years old, coming home from an ordinary day care. You and your sister Ai were completely normal children, though she always had a penchant for causing trouble and being rowdy. You were always the quiet, composed one. Seeing her again the other week has put you in a position where you're forced to reexamine the events that lead to these moments.

Your foster parents were fairly well off, reviewed by the village to be completely fit to raise a pair of orphaned twins. When you think back to it, there honestly wasn't anything too wrong with them. Sure, the mother was a bit too protective and neurotic, possibly caused by the inability to have children herself. The father was a hard worker, who didn't accept any guff in his home. It wasn't all that uncommon for Ai to get a smack across the cheek for her playful antics. At the time, it filled you with such anger, though now you know that to be totally irrational.

With a flip, you drop down and land gracefully on your barefeet, crouching down to absorb the impact. Of course, there aren't many things you do that are completely rational. You step over to a rack, pulling off a white towel stained brown with blood.

You recall that night, when Ai had been asking you to chase her as she often did. You've got no idea where she seemed to get her endless energy, even as a kid you were reserved and tired. Your foster parents often worried there was something wrong with you, and maybe there was. Even then, you agreed to play for a while. She came around the corner and ran facefirst into a hollow stone pillar. Not enough to hurt, but she bounced back and landed on her rear. The two of you laughed and laughed, until the stone pillar, tipping just enough, let the vase on top fall to the ground. Gray ashes spread all over the floor among the shattered ceramic, and the two of you looked at the mess in confusion. The thundering footsteps of your foster father running into the first floor hallway can still be heard, as clear as day. "What the hell!?" he bellowed. "What did you do!?"

Ai, earnest and honest, was the first to protest. "It was an accident, daddy, I didn't-"

She didn't get to finish her sentence, when he pulled her by her long black hair and slapped her across the mouth with a full palm. It was completely unlike the, in comparison, tender, reluctant punishment from before. You didn't understand why he was so angry, but his seemingly irrational behavior made you angry too. As he spun her around and put her on his knee, and began to strike her rear, you ran forward. Attacking in the only way a child so young knew how, you uselessly battered your fists against his side in protest. "Stop it! Stop it! Leave my sister alone!!"
>>
>>1264481
He spun his hand back and struck you in the face with his knuckles, the strength of the grown man sending you back a foot or two. Your nose started to bleed for a bit, and it was the first time that you were hurt in any sort of real capacity. The scrapes and bruises of your play couldn't compare to the emotional turmoil and sudden surprise in the slightest.

The punishment was soon over, and the two of you were sent to your individual rooms. Boiling in anger, you found yourself completely unable to sleep. Your foster mother had attempted to explain to the both of you why your father was so angry, but the words passed by unheeded by your glazed eyes. The only thing you wanted to do was strike back, but he was so big. So strong. The only possible thing that could bring a sense of fulfillment to you was impossible.

You find yourself reliving the memory in it's entirety. You feel your tiny bare feet stepping across the ceramic tile of the kitchen. scrambling through the utensils, you find a long, sharp knife. Each step up the stairs forces your adrenaline into action. For most children, the chemical rush only serves to freeze them in place. But not you, you want to be great, a ninja, strong. Like your clan before you.

Peeking through their doorway, you find the room completely dark aside from the red glow of a digital alarm clock. The carpet of the bedroom suppresses each footstep. Like a real ninja, you sneak up to your mark and hold the knife over his huge chest. With each breath, it rises and falls rhythmically. Pulling back at the bed sheet, you identify your target. The heart.

The first stab causes the blade to get stuck. You completely underestimate the strength it would take to pull it out, but it comes free as your foster father suddenly awakens and sits up, screaming. The hot red blood floods over you, and when he goes to strike you, the fist falls short as he tumbles over the side of the bed.
>>
>>1264487
A rush of sensation completely overwhelms your tiny body. What happens next, you're not entirely sure. You'd like to think that you only stabbed your foster mother in a panic. An accident, as she rushed you to pull away the knife in fear for her own life. The slick red substance on your hands caused you to cut her femoral artery, maybe. All you wanted to do was keep your knife.

The adrenaline died down over the next few minutes, and you vomited that day's lunch repeatedly. You wanted to wail, to cry, but you were too deep into an abyss of shock. What had seemed like a game was too real to comprehend. The only thing you could do was run out of the village, the guards at the gate speeding away to check the bloody footsteps on your doorsteps by a passerby. It was terrible luck that allowed you to escape into the wide world, feet crashing against the thorny bushes and quickly getting torn to shreds. Your clothes, your knees, your entire body covered in small scrapes and bruises as you ran through the woods in the dark, frantic with nothing to cling to but the steak knife in your hands.

You wonder how Ai felt when she found her brother gone, and her parents butchered the next morning.

A voice calls you back to reality, and you're being shaken violently. "Shozuku!! Snap out of it! Shozuku!"

Tomoko slaps you across the face. You'd fallen to your knees, vomiting on the stone floor again. Your pale skin was even paler, and your eyes gaunt and horrified. She lifts you to your feet. "Go back to your room! We can't have any of the cultists seeing you like this, come on!"

She hurriedly throws a coarse cloak over you. You grip your aching stomach, the muscles painful from exertion in addition to the vomiting. You've been pushing yourself to your limits even more, lately.

Tomoko lays you on your bed, and you lay in an inescapable, heated fever dream.

She stares down at the strange, dedicated boy. Deeply shaken.

Tomoko exits his room, lighting a cigarette as a reward for her doing her duty and helping to keep him in line. Without her healing, and her guidance, he would have collapsed under the weight of his own mind long ago. She sets off down the hallway, back to heal Asuka.

Had to put the finishing bits on this. First update incoming now.

Ai swings her legs up, and tears herself away from you with relative ease. You're knocked back, She flips back and lands on her feet, looking annoyed. "Don't do things like that so suddenly. Give me some notice."

You laugh. "Well, it's good to see you're back to feeling normal."

She nods, heading back outside. "That's right. Let's start this spar. I'm sorry for wasting your time."

You follow her. "H-hey! It's no big deal, it's better to talk about things than just let them sit, you know?"

She doesn't respond, instead opting to meet you out front. "This is going to be different from last time, when we were showing each other jutsu. This is going to be a real spar, so I don't want you to hold back and not use all of your weapons. I'll be attacking with full force too, okay?"

Nervously, you imagine yourself being impaled with a Chidori. A bead of sweat rolls down your head. "Don't you think we should have someone here to watch? So we don't get hurt?"

Ai shakes her head. "I wouldn't be able to concentrate. Please shut the door behind you, you're letting the hot air out."

You do so, sighing and turning back. Mentally, you try to prepare yourself for the fight. You're not quite as adept at her when it comes from changing from one mood to the next. You're still feeling rather sentimental, though that will probably wash away when she rushes you. Checking over your body, you make sure all your equipment is in order. You have your wrist mounted senbon launchers, that fire from a sideways angle. Then there's the poisoned needles in the seals on your wrist bandages. The Jet Sheath and Wakizashi. All your other standard equipment, as well.

"Alright, I'm ready! I think this might be the first time we really have at each other, hehe!"

She grins. "I know. The results will be interesting, no matter who wins."

Ai widens her stance, and holds out a single hand. She motions for you to come at her, in typical kung fu fashion.

You form the handsigns for the Water Clone Jutsu, and create two liquid allies. There's no natural water in the area, so you had to use your own chakra to form it. They'll be helpful, however. The two rush forward to face her head one, while you keep using handsigns.

Ai stands at the ready, watching your hands carefully. You finish the Roof Tile Shuriken Jutsu in a flash, and stones behind her float up briefly before rocketing forward.

Without looking, she kneels down and lets the attack pass over her harmlessly. Your clones dodge out of the way as well, and the stones stop short of your feet. The leftmost clone you made leaps into the air and uses the Water Bullet Jutsu, and Ai quickly dashes from point to point to dodge each attack. The other clone moves to engage in close range as you observe, wondering what technique she'll use first.

Your teammate is small and quick, and she draws a kunai while simultaneously using her other hand to defend from the clone. She bats a quick jab out of the way, deflecting it to the side. With the other hand, she stabs forward and causes the first clone to burst into a small pool of water.

Flipping back out of range, she forms handsigns in the air and slams them both on the ground. They suddenly charge with lightning nature chakra, coating the forest a bright blue color temporarily. "Lightning Release: Spider Web!"

Threads of lightning spread in every direction, creating a webbed pattern. Your clone stumbles as he was moving, and bursts into a pool of water as well. You can hear the sizzling from here, so you opt to avoid her technique in full instead of testing it's limits. You use Shunshin to dash high into the air, and plant yourself on the side of a tree. Her attack covered roughly ten meters in every direction, and the web of lightning dissipated as soon as she removed her hands from the ground.

Looking down, you think of your next move.

>A. Use a rush of various types of needles. Use the Heated Steel Jutsu on a senbon, and then release one of your wrist seals for three poisoned senbon. If none of those strike, reveal one of your wrist mounted senbon launchers to fire off five more.
>B. Use the Water Clone Jutsu again. This time, have your clones hang back and use Water Bullets while you rush in with your Jet Sheath.

With the Haze Clone Jutsu, dozens of illusory copies of yourself leap down from the trees and surround Ai from all sides. You follow them as well, staying back a fair distance to avoid her Spider Web jutsu. The feet of a lot of your clones are blasted off, but they soon regenerate for the price of a small amount of your chakra. At this point in your life, you should really test how many Haze Clones you can make at once. For a while now you've been quite easily able to make over a hundred, the main price coming into concern when you have to regenerate them.

For now, you kneel down, and start to make the handsigns for False Sense: Fatigue. You're locking onto Ai's position as she frantically searches the crowd, and you're just about to fire the jutsu when..

She throws a smoke bomb down, obscuring her from your sight. You release the technique, sighing. She's your team mate after all, so she probably anticipated one of your favorite strategies. She didn't get you with her area of effect attack, so she's playing it safe. She won't be as simple as others to hit with your Genjutsu.

Now, it's you who's on the lookout. While she has no way of knowing which clone is you, if she changes her position, she might be able to hit you with that electrifying spider web.

>A. Use the Great Fireball Jutsu to let loose a blast right into the cloud of smoke
>B. Use the Hidden Mist Jutsu. Obscure the entire battlefield. Show her that when it comes to concealment, you're the superior fighter. You'll get another chance to use your Genjutsu, if you wait.
>C. Create some Water Clones, and have them launch a series of Water Bullets into the cloud. Push her out with suppressive fire, then try to nail her with some poison senbon from your wrist seals.

You raise your arm high for the Hidden Mist Jutsu, and focus the chakra through your body and spread it over the area. Slowly but surely, a deep fog starts to roll into the forest. You grin, knowing that once her cloud of smoke dissipates, she'll be even less likely to spot you.

The moment you put your arms down to relax, however, you hear the sound of a transformation jutsu cancelling. Looking above you, there's a small puff of smoke that Ai drops from. "What!? How did you get up there!??"

You throw a kunai to try and stop her, but she curls into a small ball and avoids your attack. Ai unfurls at the last moment, wrapping her legs around your throat and locking them tight. She hangs onto your back, upside down, quickly choking you.

In a slight panic, you leap back and slam her on the ground under your weight. She's extremely tough and flexible, however, and refuses to let go of the leg hold. You get the feeling that even if you stabbed her, she'd just keep choking you until you blacked out. There's gotta be something you can do to get out of this situation.

>A. Summon a Water Clone to try and pry her off of you with a series of strikes.

You form chakra scalpels, your hands glowing with a blue light. You're careful to not make the blade too long or rough, or you could risk severely harming her tendons. All you want to do is cut her internally a little bit, to get her to loosen her grip on your throat. It's difficult to preform the seals under this kind of pressure, but you're a bit relieved to know that Ai won't kill you at the very least. Just make you black out.

Once the jutsu is done, you reach behind your head to try and find her bent knees. You can't see her at all from this position, so you've got no idea if she's planning a counter of some sort. It's worth risking it to potentially free yourself, though. Smoothly, you drag your palms across the back of her leg, cutting under the skin. At once, her grip on you slacks and you start to stand up.

Of course, you weren't expecting the sharp pain behind both of your legs. First one, and then the other. Your pantlegs are torn, and your back tendons are nearly sliced. Looking back as drag yourself forward, you can see that she's gripping a kunai. She cut you just enough to limit your movement, but not to seriously injure you.

Putting another palm forward on the ground to try and prop yourself up, she throws her kunai and nails your hand to the ground. The Chakra Scalpel Jutsu is cancelled as you lose concentration for a brief moment, disrupting your chakra control. You groan in pain. She leaps forward onto your back by pulling herself on your clothes, and wraps her arm around your throat and starts to choke you out again. You collapse under her weight, your legs unable to fully support you.

"Give up!" she yells.

Honestly, we might get a stat penalty. Medical ninjitsu is good but not perfect. Brain damage by asphyxiation, blood loss, secondary poison effects...

Wouldn't it, Mini?

So what are we gonna get from our training, I mean I would love more jutsus but if we end up with like 25 water jutsus I am going to feel like we have been robbed if there were only like 3 stat up during that whole process.

I don't think that's how that works, you need to have lost oxygen for like 5 minutes for brain damage to happen.

You guys only have a handful of water jutsu, really.

Training jutsu =/= getting stats, after a certain point. There's a reason why most people peter out around Chunin level. You'd be better off learning what techniques you can right now instead of worrying about how to increase your stats.

You groan in frustration, and yank your hand out of the ground. The cut in your hand widens, and the blade falls out. Blood pours profusely through the hole in your hand, between the bones. It stings like all hell, but you're in such a rush that you can still focus enough to preform the handsigns for the Water Clone Jutsu.

A single clone rises up, and she glances behind her worriedly. She tries to deepen the choke as quick as she can, now knowing that you're not going to give up. Your clone kneels down and tries to pry her arms off. She'd be kicking, but her legs are too hurt to really thrust. The grip is loosened somewhat, and you're able to get a mouthful of air. Your throat is burning from being choked twice from two different angles, but you hold out as well as you can. The clone starts to punch her in the side of the face, desperately trying to remove her grip.

Suddenly, she lets go, but still presses down on you with her body. You can see her quickly form handsigns in front of your face. You attempt to push yourself up, but your hurt legs and hand cause you to stumble and fall again. The sounds of her flesh warping and shirt tearing tell you that she's doing her signature Four Witches Jutsu. You grab the kunai on the ground with your good hand, and point it behind you and stab at her head.

She leans forward and puts her head down next to yours, on your bad side. Your stab narrowly avoids her neck, and you can't quite angle it down to hit her. The clone goes to strike her again, but the punches are blocked by the two arms on her back. She has her elbows still locked around your neck, and starts to deepen the hold again.

>A. Tell the Clone to use Water Bullets on her back before she can choke you again
>B. Knock your head against hers, and see if you can KO her this way. She's been punched in the face a bunch already, so she should be dazed

Okay question mini, what the hell are we gonna do if we ever encounter someone stronger than Boruto but more skilled and smart. Smarts only get you so far before the nuke hits you right on your house. This isn't me saying we need to become nukers but we really don't have anything to defend our self from them. At some point Takeshi can't remain the under dog forever can he, I mean the quest kinda would get boring if it was always, this guy is 3 times stronger than you but you are a bit smarter than him.

>>1265290
That'd be good to learn. More fire jutsu, too.

You'll be able to visit the owls again soon for some more higher tier Genjutsu.

Overall it feels like you guys are still trying to plan long term, when you should be thinking about your immediate issue. You don't have any real firepower, and it's now accessible to you.

>>1265345
For now? Don't worry about it. Stop trying to think ahead of the game and shore up the weaknesses you have right now, to deal with the enemies you have right now. Shozuku might not be a nuke thrower, but that doesn't mean you're going to easily deal with him. There's all kind of jutsu you can be learning, and a technique that completely neutralizes acid jutsu that you have yet to master. Worry about part 2 when it gets here.

It's not in Takeshi's character to give up. Not in a single goddamn thing. We stop trying to win, then win or die we're nobody again.

>>
>>1265364
Favourite bit of philosophy from mob psycho 100, even skill and technique mean little against absolute power. Considering Shozuku has a literal god on his side I can say he is getting close to absolute power. i ain't saying we have to do this stuff now but from what is being said it sounds like you're gonna cap us of from things soon and when we learn as many techniques as we could we still gonna end up being the Yamcha of this quest, great in part one did shit in everything else.

You pull your head back, and crack it against the side of hers. She grunts, and her grip weakens briefly. Your clone, looking down, hesitates before striking again. "Ai, give up!" you yell. At your words, the tightness around your throat only intensifies. Gritting your teeth, you pull your head back again and hit her with all your strength. This time, she slumps forward completely.

Your friend rolls onto her back, her four witches jutsu vanishing. She looks up at the sky from between the forest branches, and her long black hair is stuck to her face from a bit of blood leaking down her forehead. It's just a scrape from your headbutt, but on the other side of her face her cheekbone is rapidly swelling.

The dirt in your hand wound seriously stings. You press yourself up with your good hand, and sit back. The both of you are panting, partly from exertion and partly from pain. You sigh, and decide to be the first one to talk. "That went a bit too far.."

She looks over at you, one eye closed. "Neither of us wanted to give up."

Holding your good hand up to your bruised throat, you nod. "Yeah, maybe I should've tapped back there. It's just, that's what I always do when the chips are down. Sorry."

She shakes her head. "Don't be. It's what I asked for. I'm sorry I hurt your hand."

Holding it up, your hand twitches from the pain. You don't think you've ever had a kunai pin you to the ground before. "It can be healed, it's all flesh."

Ai sniffles, sitting up and holding her head. "Do you think I'm good enough to beat my brother?"

You chuckle at this, wondering if this is what it's all about. "Maybe. I don't know if the answer is all that clear, Ai. Besides, we shouldn't even be fighting him, really. With his Acid Jutsu, a Jounin should be handling him if at all possible."

She pulls her knees in, and nods. "Yeah, that's true. Thanks for this. I was starting to feel..."

You look up, your voice scratchy from the choking. "Like you're not good enough?"

She glances over at you, visibly relaxing. "Yeah. Sorry. In a way, fighting like this is all I have. I really didn't mean to hurt you."

You form the handsigns for the Mystical Palm technique. "Hey, you don't have to be sorry. But I'll accept your apology anyways, if it makes you feel better. You should roll over and let me heal your legs, and then I'll do mine. We can walk to the hospital together."

She rolls onto her back, and you wave your glowing green hand over her tendons. "You've got friends like me, Kichiro, and Hanto. You shouldn't have to feel so pressured. I get what you mean though. I think I feel the same way too, sometime."

Ai doesn't respond, simply considering your words quietly for a while. "Thank you." she whispers, as you finish up.

The two of you walk to the hospital, your hand wrapped in a makeshift bandage.

On your way to the hospital, you talk with Ai a little more. "You know, you almost got me with that transformation strategy. What did you turn into, anyways?"

She grins. "A squirrel. I crawled up a tree, and waited to see which clone did a handsign to figure out which one was the real you. I'm kinda used to the way you fight, now."

You rub the back of your head, laughing. "Yeah, that makes sense. Do you think I'm getting a little too predictable?"

She nods. "You should be a little more offensive, instead of waiting until you're in danger to pull out all the stops. The older we get, the more we'll run into opponents who are used to tricks like that."

You sigh. "Fair point. It hurts me pretty bad when I lose my element of surprise. Hell, seems like Shozuku's figured out a lot of my tricks at this point, too. Oh, uh, there was something I wanted to mention. I figure you get kinda lonely in that big house sometimes, so we should all hang out as a group sometime, yeah? It's something we've never really done before!"

She looks up at you. "You've been trying to get us to do that since I met you."

You smile. "It'd be fun!"

She smiles back. "Yeah."

The two of you reach the hospital, and get healed head to toe. There's a funny looking scar on your hand now, but no real issues in terms of pain.

You're released the next morning.

It's time to get back into some training. The last few days have been full of heavy thinking, but now you'll be able to clear it out with some good old fashioned training! You need to get better if you want to face Shozuku head on. If you can beat him, you'd be able to beat any other Jashinist, right?

>>
Okay, lemme think this out...

>A: Help us more directly counter Shouzuku's acid shennanigans. Plus, this is our unique "thing." On the other hand, since it's new, we need more time to experiment/research with it before we can get something concrete for offense.
>B. Kichiro already has fire jutsu, Ai has lightning. Given that, focusing more on water would help us more in team fights. It'd be balanced. On the other hand, what we need now is pure offense. Water does have good offense, but is there anything at our level?
>C. Fire is the most likely choice for pure offense. Kichiro may fulfill the role better on our team, but right now pure stopping power is a weakness we need to cover.
>D. Owl Genjutsu is really tempting, but not what we need right now.

So I'm torn between A and C. With B as a close third, because maybe we'd be able to handle a stronger offensive water jutsu or something. But I understand that we can't gamble on that.

You should still try to train it a few times before the final fight. It could be incredibly to know, maybe. Notice that when you were studying it, you were rapidly getting better at it, despite it taking up a lot of chakra still. More area of effect for the same cost.

If you get good enough, eventually you'd be able to do smaller areas of effect for smaller costs.

I wonder if by the end of this quest Takeshi will have a story about him and how he is the stuff of nightmares as everything he seems to do doesn't make sense to most people and how he doesn't seem to stop training, like he is actually some kind of monster wearing human skin.
>>
>>1265851
The Lee's share our gimmick and while they are well known they aren't urban legend tier.
We'd have to do some pretty knarly shit for that, and to be honest i dont see Takeshi as the type of edge lord to get a reputation like that.
My biggest fear in this quest is Takeshi growing up, not to be overshadowed by his peers but simply overlooked by the regular people because we dont have the personality to gain any type of folk recognition.
He might lead a perfectly happy life, but Takeshi dosen't have the drive to be famous, just to be really good at his job that comprises of going on secret missions. Its like the difference between being a CIA agent and being a well known local cop.
Those in your line of work know your fucking Jason Born but know one else will ever know the weight that name carries.

>>1267039
Well, there's also Edo Tensei and Kamui.
>>
>>1268276
Forhow ever much it counts, Edo Tensai's normally instant regen lost to Night Guy; it took Madara a good couple of minutes to put himself back together after taking a face full of Might's burning youth.
>>
>>1268597
Imo 'lost' is a strong word there, the Edo Tensei zombie would still survive the encounter and the eight gates user would not.
>>
>>1268619
....if the user was not as tough as Madara? Probably not. The majority of other ninjas would have been simply atomized.
>>
>>1268623
Can't imagine that matters, Edo Tensei should still reform the body even if it is atomized.
Would just take a while, is all.
>>
>>1268631
Not if the body ceases to exist, Night gai warps space and time to the point truth-seeking balls get BTFO'd. It's possible that anyone else hit by it simply gets their physical shell ret-gonned from existence from that point on.
>>
>>1268642
Matter can be neither created nor destroyed dude.
>>
>>1268758
nor can people shoot fire from molding an energy that science has never heard off. oh wait.
>>
>>1268763
Chakra still doesn't violate conservation of energy, however.
All the wank Gai gets is frankly ridiculous, Madara was blatantly holding back.
>>
>>1268776
>Chakra still doesn't violate conservation of energy, however.

The ability to create raw matter out of energy does. Especially given the constraints a human body has. Yes, Madara was holding back, but getting hit with night guy is pretty much the END, unless you are utter bullshit tier to the point it's hard to take you seriously.
>>
>>1268792
Also the fact that Edo zombie's have infinite chakra, energy, basically throws out all relevance physics has in universe save for on an extremely simplyfied and basic level.
>>
>>1269331
Yeah. trying to apply physics to a shonen is like trying to apply a logical argument to deeply entrenched left or right wing extremists. Futile.
>>
>>1268597
That wasn't Edo Tensei regen, that was Ten-Tails Jinchuriki regen. Madara had to bring himself properly back to life in order to contain it. His internal monologue also indicates that (he believes, at least) he would have died if Gai hadn't collapsed when he did and was able to get in a few more hits.

Does anyone have archives of threads 4-7 ?

I'm trying to catch up on this quest so that I can roll with you guys, but I can't do it without them.

I was going to run tonight but truthfully there's some other stuff I wanted to do, since it's my day off and all.

I think I'll run tomorrow. Some friends invited me to play some tabletop so I'd like to get ready for that. I'll be writing another backstory bit on Shozuku at least.

Sorry for all the delays lately. Expect some more information on the weirdo villain tomorrow.
>>
>>1274578
What tabletop you guys playing?
>>
>>1274601
woops dropped my trip

a Digimon one. Digital Adventures I think it's called.

My partner digimon is Bearmon
>>
>>1274578
Don't worry about it bro. If you got friends, it's good that you take the time to hang out with them.
>>
>>1274608
I would like to see another digimon quest one day.
>>
>>1274669
Hope it has Alphamon being best girl.
>>
>>1274608

Coool.

I'm interested in knowing how it goes.

>>1274669
Me too, anon. Me too.
>>
Just found out a few members of my family are pretty critically sick, including my grandpa. Hate to delay again, but I won't be able to focus very well right now. I have this entire weekend off (for sure this time) so I'll run tomorrow, possibly early.
>>
>>1276409
Dude, its fine. Run when you're ready.
>>
>>1276409
Damn
Here, boys and girls, we see the symptoms of a QM curse and it's a very deadly curse.

Jokes aside. Good lick minmin and just finish your IRL business before Boruto

He dies in a plane crash the next day
As in, a plane falls from the sky atop Mini
>>
Next thread when?
>>
>>1280801
Never, he died in a plane crash.
No survivors.
>>
>>1283192
Was it extremely painful? I bet it was For you

>>1276409
I would normally berate you for not archiving, but you have my sympathy and i archived the thread for you. Hope everyone gets better and everything goes well Mini.
>>
Thanks for all the support anons, really appreciate it. Apologies for my absence over the last few days.

I've gotten a bit of a fever as well, weather here on the east coast has been pinballing all over the place. Instead of continually trying to start writing and failing I've decided to take a break until Wednesday, at which point we'll be returning to the normal twice a week schedule.
>>
>>1287825
Hey Mini, since you're gonna be continuing Ippo Quest soon, do you want a custom OP image for that or are you gonna stick to chapter covers and anime stills?
>>
>>1290487
I was mostly going to just use chapter covers for Ippo, since there's a nigh infinite number of them.

I would appreciate and use something with "The Fighting Quest" or somesuch plastered on it though.

I fell asleep but this is a rough draft of what I was thinking of. Gawdy I know, but any suggestions?
>>
>>1292320
hot damn that's great, anon!
>>
>>1292393
My main goal was making it visible. Bright red on white does that better than anything, but I feel like it's kinda plain.
>>
>>1292320
ohhh fuck that's sick

I already love it. I'm a fan of minimalist stuff personally.

The only suggestion I could think to make is that you wouldn't need to include the thread number, I'd hate to obligate you to make a new update every time I run

Duly noted. The thread number was just a hold-over from the chapter cover format anyways. This work?
>>
>>1292411
Perfect, anon. Very much appreciated. I'll mostly use it the whole quest, aside from when I run and a previous thread is still up, image duplicates and all that

Fair enough. I can also do some alt. versions for special threads and whatnot. Also fun-fact, that generic boxer silhouette is actually Sendo.
>>
>>1292422
I actually recognized it to be Sendo, which was perfect for me as he's overall my favorite character.

Again many thanks. I'm off to bed.

ay next thread when because I'm a fucking idiot
