Tactical Techniques with Teammates on Take

Character info pastebin in progress: http://pastebin.com/iB0tb7rz
Dice odds for best of 3: http://pastebin.com/994WTT3g

General rules:

There is a 10 minute voting period after each post. Non-contradictory votes will be combined as best as possible.

Write-ins for all votes are always welcome and encouraged. They may not all make it into the post or be altered to fit in, but I'll do my best to at least try to address the spirit of the write-in.

Very important or contentious votes may be redone in a stricter voting system as circumstances warrant.

Combat mechanics involve three rolls of 1d100, taking the best, and using the base accuracy and crit ranges of the game, roughly, but the 'turn order' will be more like the anime, where sometimes you can do a few moves in a row or be hit by a combo of moves yourself, all depending on circumstances. Stronger moves tend to take more time and have more cooldown than weaker moves, so beware of that timing. Speed is more important for closing ground, intercepting, and other things and doesn't necessarily mean going first. Infact, you can do more than one move in a row like the anime, but so can your opponents.

Call me out on a mistake and receive a suggestive picture, mostly likely a butt.

You finish off your coffee and stretch.

The girls managed to get Keira out of the uniform, but Keira being Keira, she just slipped out of it on the spot. You think you’d get used to seeing her like that by now, but every time is a shock.

Gobble finishes his cup of hot cocoa. Valerie has lots of that and other “modest camping supplies” on the ship that she’s eager to share. Especially since the others aren’t as familiar with it as you sometimes. You think it gives her a good topic to talk about with Keira especially.

Well, you should get to work. You want to do well tonight in your gym challenge with Polu.

First thing’s first. You boot up that new TM of yours and check it out. Natural Gift. You look up the entry for it and can’t believe you’ve never heard of this move before. That seems right up your alley.

It’s power and effect changes depending on the type of berry used. Since you have that bushel of berries from when you went picking before, and Gobble has Recycle, it’s a no brainer to use it on him. Then Bella and Dice. Mace can’t learn it, though.

He puts on a brave face. Or rather, a brave posture, but you can tell it bugs him a little.

“It’s okay, Mace. We’ll do something extra special.”

Uh oh. You look like you’ve embarrassed him a little.

Now, time is short. If you want to get everyone ready, you’ll need to equip them with an item and do some last minute training quickly. What are you going to do with Mace?

“Let’s work on energy control.”

He has a look like he assumes you think he might screw it up again, but after a second he changes and gives a nod. He says that’s a good idea.

You were hoping the other training you had before would have gotten him over that sore spot. He seems a lot better now, at least, but you suspect he could use just a little bit more of a confidence boost.

You go outside and run him through some training. You find that he hesitates a bit when over water, so you really encourage him to try it out. Over the shallow part of the beach of course. He does really well, too. He seems to have it down when there’s no dodging or other tasks needed, but you think he’ll need more practice to multitask well. It’s not that he can’t attack while in the air, it’s just that it throws him off a lot.

It also doesn’t last forever. He can’t stay up for too long. He’s getting better, though. And faster. He does one last sweep down, gets his feet wet as he skims along the bottom, then comes to a skidding, twirling, semi-controlled stop on the sand.

“Good job, Mace!” You high five him. He’s not as enthusiastic about those as the others, but when he’s worked up like this, even he responds. You’re just glad he’s happy, though.

Dice is swimming in the water and pops his head up, right on cue.

“I guess you’re next, Dice.”

He cocks his head to the side.

You figure it’s best to make sure he really knows Aqua Tail.

“Alright, Dice, let’s keep up that practice!”

He looks around for a target, then leaps into action. It’s only when he’s in midair that you realize he’s going to bring his tail down on that stack of bamboo you left out here last night. Luckily, or unluckily, he misses.

“Well, that’s why we practice. I’ve burnt more than a few recipes I’ve tried on the first attempt.” You hope nobody overheard that. You’re not that far from the boat.

After a bit of practice, he gets it. He likes to do a fullbody spin and attack twice sometimes, using his momentum to keep himself going.

“Well done, Dice.” You scratch his head. He gently nibbles your hand before you can really get in there, though.

Bella climbs up your back and covers your eyes.

“Okay, okay!” You laugh. “You’re next.”

She drops down in front of you, like she’s expecting something else.

“And you look very pretty today.”

She beams and twirls.

“Let’s learn Attract!”

Bella likes that idea. She immediately turns her gaze to Mace, who looks very alarmed. He quickly rockets off. It’s much more controlled this time and he lands safely within view.

Before long, Bella is leading Dice around by the chin, drunk on her own power. You worry that you’ve created a monster here.

“We’re ahead of schedule. How about some Poison Jab pract-”

“Stop feeding Keira popsicles and let’s go.” Laki yells back at Hana. She’s about to yell back sometime else, but her Meowth climbs up her back to chase off her Chatot and she ends up having to sort that out instead.

“Where are you guys going?” You ask.

“Valerie needs some new costume materials.” Laki holds Meowth by the scruff, making sure it’s calmed down before letting it go.

“Outfits!” Valerie corrects, running to catch up to Laki. “Not costumes.”

“Whatever, as long as I get to help you put them on.”

“Laki!” Valerie acts more offended than you suspect she is. “Don’t talk like that.”

“I don’t mind.” Hana mutters.

The three girls leave. You wave as they head out. You see Keira watching from the boat and wave to her too, but stop when you notice Mr. Schwibbles standing in the window next to her. There’s something about his smile.

Bella runs around with poison tips on her flower-ends, stabbing at the air. You’ll let her do that while you work with Gobble.

“How are you feeling, Gobble?”

He takes a second to respond, and all you get is his wide open eyes suddenly locking on you.

“You drank the coffee, huh?”

He nods.

A little training should clear that off.

“Gobble, you like hot food, right?”

He leaps up. You didn’t mean to mislead him, but he’s expecting something warm.

“Oh, sorry. No, I don’t have anything, but I thought maybe we should work on Flamethrower. Then you can heat things up.”

He likes that idea a lot. The two of you get to work. You try a lot, like feeding him spicy food, listening to Keira teach you about the inner fire that the Fire Priests talk about, and drinking more (very) hot cocoa. At the end, you’re rewarded with a hot puff, and the small, barely visible flame during a burp. It’s progress, for the little time you have and rushing through it.

“Herb, you ready, bro?” Polu runs over. He’s been training this whole time, too.

You look over your team. “Yeah, I think so.”

He smacks you on the back, hard. “Come on, my man. Say it with pride.”

“I-I think so!” You shout.

He pats you on the back a little softer this time. “Good enough. Come on. There’s a pokemon center near the gym. We should get going now before the sun sets.”

You, Polu, and Kiera head off.

“How are you feeling about Body Slam?” You ask him while walking behind.

Gobble thinks. He seems like he knows it, but he’s not confident enough to give you an enthusiastic answer.

“You can try it while we walk.” You encourage. He does so, slamming down on random things on the way. After awhile, he gets hungry and gives it a break. You give him the last of the loaf of bread to tide him over.

You arrive at the pokemon center and get everyone healed up. From the outside, you never would have guessed this place was a pokemon center at all. None of the machines match, either, like they were collected from all sorts of different regions.

Polu comes up while you’re waiting. “So, I know a little, but not much. There’s a trial before we can battle. Not sure what’s involved there. The battle should be doubles, but I heard there’s some sort of twist there too.”

You glance up at the clock. Your pokemon should be ready soon. You guess you should do a little more to prepare and think of who is getting what item.

What will you give Gobble?

You give Gobble a Pecha Berry. “Keep that safe for the match, okay?”

He stuffs it in his fur after wiping away some slobber. That looked like it took some effort. You give him a quick hug, then look to see what Keira is up to.

Keira is looking around at the various items being sold at from the merchant outside the pokemon center. They have the items laid out on a bundle. She picks up a ring.

“What’s this?”

“Wedding rings. Mainlanders use them to show they are married, young Priestess.” The merchant tips their head in respect.

“Can I borrow it for a second?”

“I-”

Keira is already sneaking around behind Polu, then places it on his finger when he’s not looking. She then slithers up to you and puts it on, the snickers. “Polu and Herb are married now!”

Polu gives an uncharacteristically quiet, awkward laugh.

The smile on Keira’s face vanishes when she sees the two large men come up behind her, followed by the merchant.

“Young priestess. I don’t believe you should demean yourself by being in such a place.” The merchant tells her, while holding out his hand.

You and Polu take them off and give them to him.

“Maybe a lesson is in order.” One of the huge men says to the merchant.

But their attitude changes when Polu makes a gesture. You didn’t catch what it was, other than seeing him move out of the corner of your eye.

“Only kidding, Young Priestess. Please, enjoy the rest of the day.” He bows and leaves.

“Heh. That’s Take for you, right?” Polu puts an arm around the both of you. Keira had a question but vanishes under the realization that he’s touching her without a worry. “Herb, what item are you going to give Bella, there?”

You want to ask Polu about what just happened, but there’s no good way to take him aside right now. You’ll go for it when you get a chance though.

“Here, Bella.” You give her the Occa berry. “This will keep you safe against a fire attack.” You pat her head.

Bella holds the berry you gifted her. She looks more honored and touched by it than you think the situation warrants. She reaches at you, showing she wants you to pick her up.

“Upsy daisy.” You lift her. She responds with a bunch of cute noises.

“She says she has the best papa ever.” Keira tells you.

You give Bella and extra little hug, then prop her up on your shoulder. “Your turn, Dice.”

Dice is sitting there, not really doing much of anything. Keira lifts him up for you.

“I’ll give you a Sitrus Berry, okay?”

Dice takes the berry in his mouth. You’re worried for a second that he didn’t understand, but he doesn’t bite down. He just stores it, keeping it for later.

“You’re not giving Bella that Black Sludge you got before, bro? It’s supposed to heal poison types like her. Could be really handy.”

Huh. Polu brings up a good point. You set Bella down. “Wait, Bella, he’s right. Can I have that berry back?”

She looks up, a little worry, and a lot of wonder on her face. She gives it over.

“Take this instead.” You pour the vial of black sludge into her hands. “That’s supposed to help heal you.” You look up to Polu and he confirms with a nod. “How does it feel?”

She plays with it and rolls it over her body. She perks up.

“And the best part is, you don’t have to do anything.” Polu adds,

“Just watch out for any moves that take it away, okay?” You pet her.

Bella nods her understanding. She looks really eager to show you that she can handle the responsibility.

You, Polu, and Keira are heading off to the gym now. You still don’t get a chance to take Polu aside that wouldn’t look weird to Keira. But you can worry about that later, you need to think up an item for Mace, who is dutifully taking the lead on your march.

“I’ve got just the thing for you, Mace.” You reach into your bag and take out that stone your brother gave you. “Here.”

He examines in.

“A rock for a Rock type?” Polu jokes. That makes Mace change his posture to one of doubt.

“It’s not because of your typing.” You assure him. “It was a gift from my brother. He told me that it’s for luck. And you don’t need anything more than that, Mace.”

Mace turns back up to face you, then makes a soft noise. He’s always been hard to read, but you think what he wants to communicate is clear right now.

“Back at you, buddy.” You reach down and give him a hug.”

“That’s so cute!” Keira tells you. Cutiefly is buzzing around like crazy “Your aura is so sweet I think you’re giving her a sugar high.”

You don’t know if Keira is serious or not. But either way, you laugh.

Your group reaches the gym. But it doesn’t look like any gym you’ve seen. It’s a large, but fairly simple wooden building surrounded by trees. There’s a clearing off to the side with all sorts of monkey bars and ropes and walls for climbing. It looks like a heck of an obstacle course.

A figure in robes from head to toe steps out from the shadows, spooking everyone but Keira.

“Challengers?”

Polu takes the lead and bows. You follow suit. “Yes. We’d like to challenge your gym.”

“You’ll have to pass the trials, first.” The figure says. The voice is muffled. The robed figure suddenly points to you. “Golden haired child. How many family members do you have? Number only.”

The question throws you off. What an odd thing to ask. You have your brother, sister, mom, and dad. That’s five. But why ask that?

Why'd they have to call you a child in front of Keira and Polu?

“Nine.” You tell the figure, with more confidence than you expected to find in your voice.

“Nine?” They circle you. You hear muffled metal clanking under the robes. “Oh now. Mainlanders may breed like Nidoran, but that number sounds a bit too high to me. Name them.”

You name your parents, siblings, and pokemon.

“I see.” They say. “Maybe I misread you. You seem to have a grasp on our philosophies after all.”

You’re confused.

“I don’t understand.” Polu says on both of your behalves.

“The truth is a matter of perspective.” They tell him. “Look at his face. He believes what he said.”

It’s hard not to be self-conscious after hearing that. You look away.

“Some mention extended family, some answer the question thinking that they should lie. After all, it’s unwise to give a Teotake Puni any leverage over you. What leverage members than family members?” They look over to Keira. “Or...lovers?”

“I’m a priestess of the Ghost temple!” Keira declares. “And I don’t have the sign of enlightenment.”

“Not always mutually exclusive.”

“The what?” You whisper to Polu.

“She can’t have an attachment like a lover without proving she’s beyond the attachments of the mortal world.” He says. “There are exceptions, but-”

“You.” The figure points to Polu. “Wait over there.”

“With respect, we were hoping to challenge you together.” He bows.

“I know. And if you both pass your trials, you may. Now go. And stop bowing. I’m not from the temple.”

Polu does as he’s told.

“Golden hair. You have my interest. We’ll start with the trial of cunning.” They hold a hand up to stop any questions you might ask. “It’s simple. To deceive, one must be able to spot deception.” The gym leader steps backwards while facing you. “I will give you three literal statements. Two of them will be lies, and one is the truth.”

“I have five children.” She plays with a ring on his finger.

“If I step on that scale, I’ll weigh over 200 pounds.” They don’t look like they weigh anywhere near that. But you did hear metal clanking under the robes.

“I do not have a beard.” Their face is covered.

“Which one is the truth?”

You see Keira standing behind them, staring intently. Her and Cutiefly reacted with each statement. She gives you a look that you read as her asking if you want her to help you.

Misreading the question, actually. I flipped the number of truths and lies.

In that case, I'd guess
>Five children
as we may be able to argue our way out of that by counting pokemon.

Also, just because they believe something to be a lie doens't make it so. We've already said that truth is a matter of perspective, and our perspective could be that, for example, they weigh 200 pounds with metal or they have five children because they have 6 pokemon and 6 pokemon means 6 children, which is just 5 plus one child which means they have 5 children.

You know. Logic.

Its an old riddle. as long as the amount guessed is under the actual amount you're technically right. If you guess higher than the amount of children then you're wrong example - If we said 10 children and she only has 4 then we are wrong. If you guess 2 children and she has 4 then you are techically right that she does indeed have 2 kids, but she still has 2 more.

I know its tricky, i only really understood it from playing Liar's Dice/Mexican drinking dice games

Clearly false. It doesn't matter how much metal is under that robe, it will not change how much they weigh which is what the statement says.

>Five children
It seems odd to me that someone who would call out mainlands on 'breeding like Nidoran' would have 5 children. The ring thing seemed like a clearly fake tell as well, remember how wedding rings were a foreign concept to Kiera?

Yeah, I was there for it. And now that I look at it I'm pretty sure I could argue the logic around until it turned out correct from a certain point of view.

Since it requires so many hoops that we could use to justify almost any answer, I'd still have to return to my answer here. All of them are truths or lies if spun correctly, it's just a matter of how you look at it and how we explain it. They said truth is a matter of perspective, after all.
>>
“You don’t have a beard.”

They put one hand on their hip and lean back. “Explain your reasoning.”

“Well, I heard metal under your robes, but that wouldn’t change your own weight, literal weight. You still weigh what you weight regardless of what you wear.”

“I see, and why didn’t you choose that I had five children?”

“Well, you played with your ring before, but wedding rings aren’t part of your culture, so I thought maybe that was meant to be misleading. And Loanan’s don’t usually have large families.”

“A logical deduction.”

“But I was also tempted to say ‘I will give you three literal statements. Two of them will be lies, and one is the truth.’”

“I see where you would be going with that. Clever. And yet you decided that I do not have a beard. Are you sure that’s your final answer?’

You nod.

They remove their face covering, and you see the smooth face of a woman. “In truth, even women have small hairs on their face, unless they go to painstaking efforts to get rid of them. But is that a beard? Well, it’s a matter of interpretation, isn’t it?”

“So... I failed?”

“That’s a matter of interpretation, isn’t it?” She repeats. “What do you think?”

“I...passed?”

“Stop asking questions and speak your truth.”

“I passed.” You have to fight every urge to ask that as a question. You think you get what she’s doing. You passed if you think you passed, because believing something makes it your truth.

Right?

But she said it was literal. Unless that was a lie? You’re so confused!

“Good. Wait here.” She secures her face covering and walks over to Polu. You can’t hear what they’re talking about, but you’re guessing it’s the same thing.

After a moment, he gives her an answer. It must be a good one, because she shows her face to him, too. She then drops the robes, and a layer of metal armor and weights below. She has lost a significant amount of size.

She and Polu walk to the monkey bars and motion you and Keira over. When you get there, you see that it’s a whole obstacle course in a straight line. It looks tough.

“The second trial is also simple. I’m going to flip this hourglass. All you have to do is get to the opposite side of the obstacle course. You fail if all the sand in the hourglass falls to the other side. There’s only one rule; You can’t go under the ropes.” She motions to the ropes marking the bounder on either side of the course. That makes sense. You could just go around them. “Polu, you’re first.”

Polu lines himself up at the starting line. He looks up to the gym leader to signal that he’s ready, and she flips the hourglass over and sets it on the ground.

He jets from one monkey bar to the next, steps through each tire, and climbs the rope, He swings from one rope to the next over a pit of water now, showing off his slightly intimidating physical strength. Next, he has to crawl under a bunch of wire. You and Keira yell and cheer for him. He reaches the long stretch and pumps his legs for all they’re worth. He flies through the finish line just seconds before the hourglass runs out.

“Yeah!” You high five him. His arm is shaking and his palms are sweaty. He smiles and pants, but doesn’t say much. He’s still catching his breath.

“Good job.” Keira tells him.

The gym leader turns to you. “You’re next.”

You stand by the obstacle course entrance and get ready.

She flips the hourglass.

Way I reason it is because he is still thinking its a test of cunning, after all she never said it was anything else.
>>
You start with a jolt, but before you get two steps, a thought occurs to you. If Polu barely made it through, your odds are slim. You hate to admit that though. Not because you don't think highly of Polu, but because being physically behind so many people on the islands makes you feel less manly. You still hear her calling you "child" in your head.

This test isn't about that, though. At least, not from everything you've seen. It's like cheating is allowed, even encouraged.

You stop, turn around and pick up the hourglass, hold it sideways so the sand can’t fully go from one side to the next.

Keira’s face explodes in amazement. She immediately gets what you’re doing. Out of respect for the gym though, she doesn't say any words. She just emits a high pitched noise like she's a hot pipe leaking steam.

You walk up to the rope on the side, climb over it, than lightly jog along the side of the course until you reach the end.

You might look calm, but you’re panicking inside. What if you missed a detail, or misunderstood what she said? You might be disqualifying yourself. You come back and hand the hourglass back to the gym leader, who so far hasn’t said anything or reacted.

“Well done.”

“Awww.” He pants. “Wish. I thought. Of that.” Polu says.

“Luckily for you, brute force can sometimes substitute cleverness. At least, until you run out of it.” She mocks him.

Polu takes it in stride though, and finally manages to stop leaning on his knees. “Good job. Bro.”

“Bro? Is that your name? Well, young Bro, and young Polu, don’t get too confident. There’s a third trial you must pass.”

You and Polu stand up straight. Neither of you wants to let the other down.

And yet, the theme that really gets to me is rhat all islanders, especially those in some sort of elevated position, are arrogant as hell. I hope the next island has people that don't try their hardest to piss everyone off. Or at least me.
>>
>>1319624
They come off as arrogant because, they're in a position that they've been told all their life are important and vital to the prosperity and values of the islands

Culturally Induced Power Trip, or CIPT a.k.a. "Sipped"

E.X. "That Ghost Priest that over saw our Tea Journey was very Sipped"
>>
>>1319624
Keira's in a position of power, and she's pretty great. I'd even call her the best girl. That one grass priest at the ghost temple was pretty chill. Keira's sister-priestesses were implied to be pretty alright. The Electric priest was a good guy.

The ghost priest was certainly irksome. The Fire leader, and so far the poison leader seem to be... very self-assured. And that can come off as being belittling when their job is to test and teach kids like us.

The electric leader was stretched thin and needed a push to preform the role for Hana that he clearly should and can do.

There's not really any doubt that the first thing most of these people see us as is another mainlander, and what that means to them is going to have a lot of influence on the first impression they give. And to give them some credit, it's probably because a lot has changed because of mainlanders. If that change was negative for them, they'll associate us with that, maybe even if they try not to.

It's not wrong to expect a lot of maturity and respect from teachers of children and community leaders. But let's not forget that we are, at first glance, representative of how their lives are changing. That might threaten or excite them. They'll react accordingly- anyone would.

That's something I would like to see Herb think about. To what degree and in what ways do the people around me prejudge me due to my heritage?
>>
>>1319624
>>1319649
Tldr; that's probably more just the normal experiences of an immigrant than anything unique about Loanans or Loanan culture specifically.

This, rule34 herb needs the apron, any other clothes are optional, also I'm wondering if the female equivalent of his dick is massive boobs? Can imagine her with very generous proportions like a young thicc milf and being really pure . Is everyone else rule63 too or just herb? It doesn't change the dynamic too much with kiera and laki, but hana might be more open, polu might be a little spaghetti, jane would probably open up less since she doesn't want barbarian dick and might just find her infuriatingly diabolicaly manipulative, using her cutesy innocent airheadedness to tie everyone around her finger like a master puppeteer golddigging whore. val + herb are probably BFFs , egging eachother on, confiding in eachother their worries and curiosities about the island, grooming pokemon together while in nighties, giving makeup tips, playing dressup together all the time ( probably double teaming the other girls) and having laki perv on the pale blonde fairies giggling and prettying eachother up like the native savage she is

As for girl talk, I think there was extensive discussion on it a few threads back with a bunch of suggestions

Found it, thread 28

So far suggestions were:
Hana's powerlevel
Beauty tips (val & kiera mainly, with laki being interested but trying to pretend she's not)
interests
Gossip
Herbs dick and Herb and Polu and boys and penises and sex
Pokemon
Jane's previous relationship & thoughts on Jane
ASPIRATIONS (vals gym battles, hanas water gym, laki bonding with wailmer etc)
Kiera reading auras & val doing eachothers hair
More sundress Laki
Laki & kiera make people jealous of their massage times
Kiera feeling awkward about being treated as holy
Val & Laki sexual tension
Priestess masks for all the girls (assuming thats not blaspheme)
Hana introducing kiera to video games
Boob comparisons
peer pressure/egging eachother on
Childhood stories
Herbs cooking & battle training (with an undercurrent of lewdness)
Kiera asking about mainland stuff
Making it really REALLY girly

General character development for all the girls
>>

Laki/Val in the closet (though we could probably learn all this while giving Laki her next full body massage)
Valerie shopping shenanigans (with Hana and Laki encouraging her more exhibitionist tendencies and clothing)

I think I'd like a 22 short stories from Springfield type bin.

How's that kid coming along with his voltorb's energy training? Are Kalty and his wife going to have that second kid? Do the fishing pole brothers ever have get-togethers? That kid who challenged us to an ice flow race- what's he got to prove? What are that nice prostitute's aspirations? How is that she's at the electric temple coming along? Is Hydriegon enjoying his freedom, or finding the competition tough? Is our brother making friends? Did the professor get his equipment fixed? That sort of thing.
>>
>>1319925
Nope, not my thing at all. You're more than welcome to have all the big boobs you want, though.
>>
>>1320069
These would all be nice little things if we were done with the story, but as it stands, a lot of these can be answered within the main story, we've still got a way to go before loose ends like these should be wrapped up.
>>
>>1320281
I agree with this guy. But a bin about Herb's sister and her love life could be fun.
>>
>>1320069
I could see some of these with a bit of a lewd twist, like the gym leaders wife daydreaming about herb or something.

I still want to see how the prostitute would've reacted to herb thinking they were just gonna see a movie and herb reacting to the prostitute making it a more stimulating experience (throw in the obligatory jump scare into the prostitutes lap)

>>
>>1321914
Yeah, I suppose. I mean it all is relative to the person's frame.
>>
I feel like this line of conversation has missed an important point. Herb's loco-large love log isn't impressive because it's something that makes him attractive, it's something that looks like it could really pleasure a girl. Herb's attractiveness is average (but he dresses well and is getting /fit/, so he has some bonuses since that part of character creation.) Fem-Herb's attractiveness should be average and rising too. The question remains, what indicates the sexual ability of a woman? What qualities does an "exceptionally pleasurable vagina" have?

No, I'm really asking, this is outside my experience. Is it a small size? Something about labias? Stretchyness? Depth? Kegal muscle strength? How exactly would such qualities become known?

But yeah Dick=boobs because more size generally=better just doesn't work that well.
>>
>>1321966
I think average cup size with a nice ass is the way to do it.
>>
>>1321914
Thighs/ass/waist are kind of one package.

>>1321966
Surprisingly firm bubble butt with a touch of jiggle and slim waist would do it. Slap in a small but noticeable gap and that's like 11/10 would-smash tenderly material right there.
>>
I bet fem-herb asks people to call her "Spice"
>>
>>1321966
nah you're overthinking it, it is pretty much canon for genderbending shit like this dick size is equivalent to bust size, trying to explain it further or better is like trying to re-invent the wheel.

also just as a side note, in reality dicks that large are under performers pleasure wise I have heard; there is a certain sweet spot where the dick becomes too large. But that does not matter as this is fantasy and does not apply real life rules.
>>
>>1321966
As usual you're over thinking it, but honestly individual pussies feel different. But I've never experienced one that was significantly better than another.

“Now, with two of you, this trial will be very interesting.”

Something about the way she says that while licking her lips sends a shiver down your spine.

“We’re ready for the third trial!” Polu supplies enough confidence for the both of you. He’s mostly recovered from his run, now.

“First, tea.” She claps her hands, and two people appear out of nowhere to set up a small table and chairs. They produce two cups for you, and one for the gym leader. “I don’t believe I’ve introduced myself. How rude of me.” She smiles. “My name is Kalai-Pahoa, but you can just call me Kalai.”

“I wouldn’t want to disrespect a member of the clergy.”

She waves away the concern. “You wouldn’t, because I’m not. A lot of them tend to gravitate towards gyms, but like Kalty-Una of the electric gym, I’m just an ordinary islander.” You wouldn’t call her ordinary, but you get the point. She gives a respectful not to Keira, who so far has been keeping uncharacteristically still and quiet.

“So what’s the third trial.” Polu asks, eager to get going. “Ma’am.”

She rolls her eyes at Polu’s last second honorary. “Well, since neither of you have drank your tea yet, I suspect you have an idea.”

Uh oh.

“There’s something in the tea?”

“Besides water and tea, yes. Drink up, and the trial begins. You’ll need to find the cure.” She shows you a small vial full of purple liquid. “And quickly. One dose looks, tastes, and smells exactly like this.”

Keira’s eye’s and mouth open like she just figured something out and wants to tell everyone, but with great effort, she squashes the instinct. It looks almost physically painful.

You and Polu look at each other.

“Please drink quickly. It only begins when you drink the entire cup.”

Polu blows on his and brings it to his mouth.

You drink up in sync with Polu. As you do, it feels like the two of you have a moment. Like you’re entering a pact, or a battle where you trust each other completely to have the other’s back.

The most alarming thing about this, is that the tea tastes pretty normal. You’d never know if she didn’t tell you.

Polu slams his cup down hard. You set yours down gently. Okay, here goes.

A thought occurs to you. “Do Pecha berries work on humans?”

“Not for this.” She learns forward. “But for regular poison, it can. Not raw though, you need to mix it with other ingredients, boil for...well that’s not important right now. Time is short, after all.” She dangles the vial.

Once again, you and Polu share a look. You need two vials, but she’s holding one. It’d save a lot of time if you could get the one off of her.

You give Polu a subtle nod. At least, you thought you were being subtle and clever until you see that everyone else is watching.

“Found the first one.” You point to her hand. “May I have that, please?”

She smiles. “Clever, but you’ll have to take it.” She dangles it in front of you and Polu. “I’m warning you, I’m pretty fa-”

Polu reaches out to snatch it, and he’s way too slow. That’s saying something, because that boy can move!

“-st.” She finishes with a smirk. Polu tries three more times, missing her hand by more and more as she dances around him. After the last attempt to snatch it, she ends up back to back with him and pushes him away with her hips. “There’s more than one hidden around here. I think that searching would be a much better use of your time and energy.”

Polu gives you an apologetic look and turns to search. But you’re going to give it a shot. You start walking towards her calmly.

“Tick tock!~ You’d better-”

You take it. Just like that. You’re not sure if you were fast or just unexpected.

“W-what?” Kalai stares at her hand, then at you. She has that look on her face that your little brother gets when you help him with his math homework. Keira squeals and fights herself hard not to say anything, but she’s super excited. She hops up and down and bites down on her crown made of flowers.

You hold the vial. It’s one dose, right? You could take it, or you could give it to Polu.

“Polu! Catch!” You toss it to him. Your throw is a bit high and you almost have a heart attack at realizing what you did, but he easily compensates with a jump and quick reflexes. “You found one?”

He realizes from the gym leader’s face that you got it from her when he wasn’t looking.

“Bro.” He says. “Are you sure?”

“Yeah.”

“But what about you?”

“You spent more energy today. The poison is going to hit you first.”

He hesitates, but doesn’t argue. He turns to face away, cocks his head up, and wipes his mouth with his sleeve. “Thanks, Bro.”

Your pokemon are already looking around. Gobble lifts a rock and checks under it. Dice is swimming in a small pond off to the side with Spiritomb, who looks frustrated that he doesn’t react to its hostility. Bella is carefully lifting leafs low to the ground to check under. Mace is standing still, listening. For what, you’re not sure.

Now, where to look? How to find something so small? It’s in a vial, so it probably won’t smell like anything.

If they have vials, all they need to do is show them to us. We're apparently so goddamn fast that if we see them we should have a pretty good chance of just being able to just grab them.

Alternatively, we're not fast and Kalai was just dumbstruck when we casually took the vial because it didn't trigger her reflexes. In which case we could still try for the grab anyway.

You start stomping around. You can see Mace immediately perk up and focus in on you. Perfect. With his hearing, you’ll find it in no time.

“What are you doing?” Polu asks.

“Helping Mace.” You point to your Pokemon.

Polu nods, and stomps as well while he searches. “Go Liaron!” He evolved Aron! Now’s not the time to gush, though. The heavy pokemon stomps around, and Polu goes back to searching.

You run around, not sure where to go. But you figure around the wooden structure of the building makes the most sense to start with, instead of the compacted dirt. You try to time it so that you Mace has a good chance to listen to every stomp as you move around.

Mace lights up. He comes rolling down to alert you that he’s found something.

“Where is it, Mace?”

He points to two spots. One is in the ground against the edge of the building. The other is on the wood of the patio. Both spots seem fairly large.

Kalai stands on top of the patio, looking a bit worried. “You’re looking a bit pale. You’d better dig quickly.”

Polu comes running over. Even with his help. digging would take some time. Mace can’t seem to narrow it down too much, other than a large area. If there’s something in the patio, your best guess is that it’s under a hidden area that might take awhile to find.

You could split up and try both, but that’d double the time. You’re sweating like crazy and your stomach is making a lot of noises.

“Gobble. Smell her hands, and Odor Sleuth.”

“Woah now!” The gym leader pulls her hands away from Gobble. He chases after her and jumps around, trying to get close enough to get a good sniff in. She can move quickly. Dice chases to help out. They both sort of chase her around as she evades them.

“Polu. I need your help to dig while I search.”

“Right!” He wipes away some sweat, and picks up a nearby shovel. “Lairon! Let’s dig! Be careful, though.”

It nods, but looks at it’s front paws trying to figure out how gentle it can be.

You run your hands along the wood. There’s got to be a seam or something. Come on. Where is it?

You put your hands on yourself and try to concentrate and heal yourself. You feel a warmth come from them, but you don’t know what effect that had, if any. You think the poison might be messing with your senses.

Come on, come on, where is it?

Aha! There it is.

“W-wait!” The gym leader yells to you. Reaching out her hands, she gives Gobble the perfect opportunity to smell them.

Just as that happens, Polu yells out. “Found it!” Hi drags a small plastic milk crate out of the ground and nearly falls backward once it gets it up. “Come on bro, hurry.”

Sweat stings your eyes. You wipe it away.

The gym leader is racing Gobble to beat him there. You don’t get the impression she’ll let you open this up once she gets here.

“Sure. One second though.” You pull up the board and look inside.

“There’s nothing there!” You hear Kalai’s voice say. But considering how this gym has been working so far, you don’t want to fall for some sort of deception. You dig in.

Some sort of men’s fitness magazine. That’s weird, because the assistants were both girls. Oh, what’s this? Some sort of notebook! It might be a clue, like the real directions to the cure. What Polu found could be a diversion!

Not sure where to start, you flip to a random page. “At this point I’d do anything for a good man. -Anything.- It’s just so lonely in the gym. I-”

The book is ripped from your hands. You look up and see Kalai standing over you. She is fuming. Her glare is almost as scary as Jane’s. Gobble cautiously backs away, and Dice just hangs off her arm, slowly slipping down from where he gently bit her. She tosses it back in the hole and slams it shut.

Polu reaches you with two vials in his hand. You look back to the crate and only see one missing.

He drinks one as he hands you the other. “I wasn’t going to let you suffer alone, man.”

You drink the other.

You look into his eyes, and he looks into yours for a brief second. He lifts a hand to pound your fist, but you’re already putting your arms around him. “Thanks, Polu.” It’s only after you’re leaning on him that it really occurs to you that he’s not wearing a shirt anymore. He must have taken it off while digging.

You see Keira as you look over his shoulder. You can’t hear her from here, but she’s clasping her hands together and going “awww.”

“Stop having your sweaty, gross, boy hug and stand up!” Kalai yells. “You’ve earned the right to challenge the gym.” Her voice drips with venom.

The two of you shoot up. Polu gives you a quick and stealthy fistbump while she paces.

“This is a different type of battle than you’re used to. It will be a double battle, with four Pokemon per side total. But,” she stomps down hard on the wood, “you’ll need to protect your plushie.” She tosses you a large stuff pokemon. It looks like what your pokedex shows before the picture of a pokemon loads. You think it’s also the picture used for Substitute. “And take the head off of mine. Got that? Decapitate the enemy plushie to win. The Plushie can’t touch the ground outside of the battle area, just like any other pokemon. Knocking out all the pokemon on the other side is a win by default, but it never really comes down to that. Now go get ready!”

Polu goes running to the opposite side of the field with the plushie.

Boy, she’s really angry. You don’t really feel like you did anything wrong, though. She had you searching and paranoid, and the vials and her hidden stuff were close together. You do feel a bit like saying something, but you don’t know what. You might make it worse.

“Sorry about reading that. It’s just, I was poisoned and didn’t want to take any chances.”

“Don’t say things you don’t mean.” She fumes at you. But she collects herself right after. “It’s fine. Just forget everything.” She makes a motion like you should keep your voice down. She waves at her assistants to keep away.

“There’s nothing wrong with being lonely. And I don’t think you’d have any trouble finding a good man. You’ve got a lot of good qualities.”

“You read -that- page?”

You keep going. “Good qualities like you’re clever, you sound like you really know what you’re talking about with poison...”

“Oh spirits.” She puts her fingers on her forehead.

“...and that robe really works for you. It accentuates your figure when the wind blows.”

“Stop it! Go get ready!” She starts pushing you away. “Go! Go!” Despite her angry tone, you think you detected a hint of a smile.

“Go!”

Or maybe you just imagined it. You get moving to Polu.

Polu stretches. His glistening, muscled chest is a bit distracting since his tone is really showing after he did all that digging. You wish you looked that strong.

“So, I was thinking one of us should guard it, and the other work on taking her plushie out.” He says.

That sounds like a pretty straightforward strategy, but part of you worries about how not-straightforward this battle could get. If she has both of her pokemon focusing on defense or offense, it might overwhelm the one pokemon handling that on your side.

He lean’s on Lairon. You’re guessing that he’s going to send him out first.

“Good plan. I’ll attack.” You say, pausing to see if he has any objections. You don’t want to be too pushy.

“Alright. Lairon and I can handle defense. Isn’t that right, buddy?”

Lairon roars. It’s not a vicious or aggressive roar, just the low, bellowing noise you’d expect from such a heavy creature. He looks pretty happy, actually.

You get your side ready. Lairon, on Polu’s suggestion, keeps the doll in it’s mouth.

The battlefield has a few trees and patches of tell grass in it between the two sides. Not enough to totally obscure your view of Kalai, though. To your left, there’s the long pond that Dice was swimming around looking for the antidote. To the right, there’s a small monkey bar set, about twelve feet high. It’s sides are scratched and marked with the sign of a good amount of battles.

“Go Scolipede and Salandit.” She throws both pokeballs up into the air with practiced grace.

Those two look scary.

“So that’s how you two are going to play it. Well then, we’ll just have to show you why our gym has such a fierce reputation.”

It might have something to do with the poison trial. But then again, the battle could be even worse. You aren’t going to let Polu down on this, or your pokemon.

Kalai yells out some orders that you can't quite make out due to a gust of wind, and her Pokemon fly into action.

Scolipede rolls around the doll in the back, making a perimeter that’d be hard to get through. On one lap, uses Iron Defense.

It’s the one she called Salandit that worries you even more, though. It quickly runs up half the length of the field, and fires a Flame Burst at Lairon.

It explodes brilliantly! The fire splashes off the huge metal pokemon, sending bits of flame all over, including on your team’s doll, and hitting Mace in the back.

“Lairon!” Polu yells. That looks like it really hurt, despite how big and sturdy that pokemon is. Lairon quickly puts out the flaming doll by pressing it against the dirt.

Polu poses dramatically without looking like he’s trying to do so at all. “Alright, bro. Let’s take them out! I've got that Salandit!”

Lairon starts charging forward and Salandit before Polu tells him what move to use. You guess he’ll have an order once he gets closer.

Mace is having none of that. He turns his attention to Salandit as he works his way to the other end of the field. Sensing his need to do something about that Salandit, you give him exactly the order he wants. “Mace! Rock Blast!”

Mace doesn’t need to be told twice. He unloads a barrage of hard hitting rocks on the lizard pokemon. It’s caught off guard as its struck from the side, over and over again. WHAM! POW WHAM again!

Mace zooms on by after that horrific attack, leaving the Salandit to sort itself out. It barely manages to get up before the charging Lairon closes in. It’s struck with Headbutt! And holy jeez! That sends it flying. Salandit smashes through two trees and embeds and wraps itself around the third.

Kalai has to run over and catch it as it peels off and falls to her waiting arms. “Salandit!” She puts it away with it’s ball and quickly reaches for another. “Scolipede! Forget the plan. We’re not holding back for them at all. Use Earthquake!”

Scolipede gets it’s revenge on your team for it’s fallen ally as the ground around Lairon and Mace shakes so hard that it knocks them over. Lairon collapses. Mace is hurt two, but still has a lot of fight in him.

That bug has a lot of power!

Lairon crawls to it’s feet, but it’s breathing heavily. That fire attack before really did a number on it, and Earthquake looked especially effective.

“Lairon, that’s enough. I’m proud of you, but you’re throwing in the towel.” Polu retrieves him, then reaches for his next ball. The doll falls to the ground and Polu hurries to get his next pokemon out.

While that’s going on, Kalai sends out her next pokemon. Vileplume. That’s a fully evolved pokemon!

“I knew you two were more than you appeared!” She yells, mostly to herself. “Nobody just takes something out of my hands like that. Not an amatuer, anyway.”

This is a tricky call. You could go for their doll from here and probably damage it while Mace is close enough and has the opening, or you could cover the defense in case they’re able to do something fast and tricky.

>>
>>1330645
That butt archive that was posted (60MB or so, IIRC) + whatever has been added since.
>>
>>1330645
Let's ballpark it at 5 butts per /tg/ thread, averaging 200kb each picture, to give us 1mb of butts per thread. At 162 threads, we have 162mb.

We'll again assume that for these threads, but we have about 3 runs per thread, so we'll triple it. At 31 threads so far, we'd have an additional 93mb. Total comes to 255mb.

“Mace! Headbutt that Scolipede with everything you’ve got!”

Mace fires like a rocket, sending a wave of air pressure across the grass on the spot he was standing. He flies over the ground, not quite touching it. He doesn’t fly in a straight line though. He curves around a few obstacles and then only goes straight on the last stretch.

Wham! Scolipede looks like it hand the wind struck out of it from that. It flails off to near the edge of the arena by where Kalai is. It just barely manages to hold on and use its many legs to come to a skidding stop before going over the line.

“Scolipede!” She yells. She quickly turns to you and growls, though. “You’re no clueless kid. I don’t like being played! Vileplume! Slow that rock down!”

Polu looks over to Keira, then moves his hand from one ball to the other. “Go, Larvesta!”

It appears at the same time as Vileplume launches a cloud of Stun Spore at Mace. But to everyone’s surprise, he’s able to jet out of the way.

He and Scolipede end up staring each other down with the doll in the middle. Vileplume looks back, then turns to run towards Larvesta and your team’s doll.

“Scolipede! Let’s change it up. Toxic!”

Mace is far away from Vileplume and Larvesta, but a Rock Blast, if angled up high, could still reach over there.

Or he could try dodging that Toxic. But playing the dodge game against Scolipede might not be a long term solution. It’s getting faster and faster by the second.

Mace could also try using Gravity as a defensive move to make the Toxic hit the ground before reaching him. That trick would probably only work once, and even then it’s risky.]

Toxic slaps Mace on the side of his head. He’s poisoned now, but that won’t stop him.

“Rock Blast that doll to nothing!”

He fires a harsh barrage of small but heavy rocks. They’re not particularly sharp or very jagged, but they’re still rip it up fairly well. It flies along the grass with each hit, losing more fluff and tearing up. The head on it sticks on by a small bit. You were hoping to take it out entirely, but at least it’ll be easy to finish off with one attack, now.

“Larvesta! Hit it with Flame Charge!” Polu yells beside you.

Larvesta surrounds itself in a ball of flames, and tackles Vileplume. It’s a sloppy attack, but it’s still super effective. The plant pokemon blows out a singed leaf after it skids along the grass to a stop.

“Vileplume! Put that Larvesta to sleep! Sleep Powder!”

Uh oh. If Larvesta is put to sleep, your side’s doll will be totally open.

If Polu retrieves his Larvesta as it gets hit, you could throw out a second pokemon to cover for it. Larvesta would be out of the match for good, though.

Scolipede crawls up around the doll. You’re not sure if it’s going to try to act like a goalie, or grab it and flee.

Vileplume lowers it’s head and puffs a large cloud of powder at the flying bug pokemon. “Mace! Mudslap that attack!”

Mace rockets back. A trial of flattened grass follows in his wake. His momentum takes him wooshing past the Vileplume, and a big sloppy slap of mud rolls over the powder in his wake.

Another burst of energy brings him to a slowing stop and he rests on the ground. He’s getting pretty tired.

“Nice! Now Larvesta! Hit it with Flame Charge again!”

Larvesta does just that. Another hard blow against the Grass type pokemon. It must be pretty experienced, because it’s still up and ready to fight after that. The good news is, Larvesta is looking really fast after two of those in a row. It comes back and scurries in front of the doll to protect it.

“We won’t let you get away with this!” She yells. “Nobody humiliates me in front of my grunts!” She shakes her head. “I mean my assistants!”

“I think we can finish that Vileplume if we attack together.”

That’s a tempting idea. Those status moves could really cause problems.

Dang. Where did Scolipede go? You’ve got a bad feeling about this.

The fact that we gave the lucky rock to Mace before the match makes me think Gobble really is hacking into 4chan just to load the die in our favor.

It's beautiful. And if this girl doesn't hit on us after we finish I'm going to be sorely disappointed.

“Alright. Larvesta! Time to reveal our trump card! Flamethrower that Vileplume!”

“Sleep powder Roggenrola! Keep him out of the fight until Toxic finishes him!” She’s closing her eyes as she yells.

But the Sleep Powder goes wide as the flames roll over Vileplume.

Mace perks up. He’s had a chance to rest himself on the ground, and apparently he hears something. Something under the ground! That’s got to be Scolipede!

Mace takes a casual step to the left and the bug pokemon rockets up from under where he was standing.

“HOW!” She yells. It’s half upset, half laughing at the absurdity of how well Mace is doing.

Vileplume is still on it’s feet, somehow. Just barely, though. That’s one tough pokemon! Scolipede is still flying up from it’s momentum. What’s more, is that it doesn’t have the doll on it. It must have left it before burrowing in order to avoid accidentally ripping it while travelling underground.

The wind blows, and Mace turns to one of the patches of grass near Kalai’s side. Can he really hear the difference the doll would make to the grass blowing that far away? That’s impossible, right?

“Mace! If you think there’s something in there, then attack that bush!”

“What! No!” She yells. But Mace is already firing. Her pokemon are still recovering from the two moves they used. “Scolipede! Stop them! Vileplume! Giga Drain!”

But she’s in a terrible position to try that. Scolipede, as insanely fast as it’s gotten, can’t fly or do much else in the air. It spins like a tire and to your surprise, actually gets moving well before landing, though.

Vileplume is aiming it’s Giga Drain and Mace, but it's slammed with another Flame Charge before it’s able to use the move. “Oh no you don’t!” Polu yells. “We’ve got you, buddy!”

All this time, the rocks sail through the air. They finally rip through the tall patch of grass. Heavy, jagged edges rip it apart and tear blades from the ground. You almost leap as high as Scolipede when you see the doll get dragged out under a rock, in pieces. The head is just barely ripped off. Scolipede arrives a second too late, and rolls to a stop by the droll. It gives

“AHHHH!” Keira bursts with excitement. She’s been containing it up until now, but that’s just too much. “OMIGOSH! Omigosh omigosh! Wow!” She leaps up and down rapidly.

Mace falls flat on his face. He’s not knocked out, but he’s exhausted, and the toxic is really taking it’s toll. You run over quickly, then realize you left your bag with your antidote back by the building. Polu comes up and applies one of his before you can say a word.

“Thanks!”

He just puts a hand on your shoulder and shakes you in a congratulatory manner. You smile and pat Mace on his head until Keira tackles you with a full-body, wrap-around hug.

The gym leader starts walking over. She’s put her face covering back on, but her body language shows a very intense walk with a serious purpose. You gulp.

That's fine for Jane, but this is a respected community leader. I say go in for a handshake.

I hope she doesn't accuse us of smurfing though. Keira will back us up if she does though.

It was nice to see Polu hold back Spiritomb for Keira's sake.

Mace deserves some quality time with our "lay on hands" technique.

That makes me want to see Herb in plate armor. Herb the crusader.

It's kind of a shame none of our other pokemon got a chance to shine, but better to be over prepared than underprepared I suppose. We'll just have to pick more fights to give them a chance to shine.

I'll bet Mace has his full confidence back after this. I hope that means we can start training gravity/ fighting under high gravity conditions more.

It'll be interesting to have that 1v1 with Polu when that comes around.

I hope these matches are recorded because I have to see Jane's reaction to this.

No, better yet, I can't wait to watch Hana take on this gym. Dollars to donuts she blows straight through the trials.

It's even better that mace could mvp infront of polu since he chocked last time, I'm hoping this'll really help his confidence. We should definitely make him his favourite food tonight and get him dogpile hugged by the other pokemon. Plus a Cape

I'd like hana to find a nice boy, just not herb. She's just latching onto him because he's the first person to encourage and care about her, there's nothing else there but neediness and insecurity which you don't want to build a happy relationship on.
I'd really love to help her confidence though and have a happy ending to her sad life so far. I'd love to help her beat gyms, become a superhero beloved by children everywhere, and open her water gym
>>
>>1333597
That is a 10/10 post.
>>
>>1333597
Said the man who likes Hana the least out of the characters. Let me disclose my rankings as well before I continue.

Laki > Hana > Jane > Kiera> Polu > Val

So I feel like Laki is my favorite because I feel like she is the best foil for Herb as a character, they have different world views and they push each other to be better people. Very interesting to me. I can expand on this if anyone cares. But this is not the point of my post. Back on topic.

I disagree with your assessment of Val from here
>>1333497

As for Hana from the first link. For Hana I think she genuinely likes Herb because she sees qualities in Herb that remind Hana of the qualities she wants in herself. She wants to be fashionable, strong, and caring and as such she really digs those qualities in Herb. I think it is unfair to say she gets this desire from neediness or insecurity because humans want to be liked by other people and the qualities I've listed in Herb are just good qualities to be liked in general. It is not insecure to want to be liked, it is standard desire for social creatures.

As for Val, as much as it pains me to admit it, there seems to be no attraction between Val and Herb at the moment. I think that the only character I feel like Val has expressed attraction for is Laki. Though there are hints that Val would enjoy watching Laki do lewds to Herb from the lewdbin. Also I feel like Val is too spoiled to be a good match for Herb, but I do think they are very cute friends and they would have a lot to learn from each other by being friends, maybe that can grow into something more over time.

I know a lot of people like Keira a lot, but I don't have too strong feelings about her either way. I think she is a cute, but she also needs development.
>>
>>1333702
Keira arc will continue when aura training begins, possibly earlier if this ninja makes a big scene.

She should know better than to try to be sneaky against daredevil. Mace is, in a sense, a hard counter to everything she had except Vileplume. In a fight against Scoliopede, he could have avoided earthquakes via flight.
>>
>>1334580

I agree with the laki part 100%, that's why she's top of my rankings too atm

As for val, ye there's no attraction atm unfortunately, but that's not what I said, I said she needs more development and her personality is perfect for herb. The little we've had of her so far is they both have the same passion for fashion , they both spaghetti, she respects him and feels secure with him ( when he talked about his honest opinion of her and snuggling to escape laki) they made a pact to push eachother because they both want the same things, they relate and understand eachother as outsiders here and they both get molested by laki. Point is she's 1 of the least developed but probably has 1 of the stronger connections with herb. So potential

Hana's never shown any interest in fashion, but fair enough on the strong and caring part that COULD be the case, although I'm really not getting that vibe. why doesn't she dig polu for the same reasons + his confidence and why doesn't she crave attention and to be liked by the other characters? She talks to val mainly, and fingers herself over herb and laki /is envious of all the girls, which gives the impression of insecurity in herself rather than wanting them to like her. I do like her alot, just worried about her being the kind of girl laki warned herb about

Kiera needs another chance, I feel bad for scaring her off like I shouted at a puppy . Even though what she did was wrong it wasn't malicious and it was curiosity, and shes been nothing but excited, inquisitive and supportive for us since the start. I'm looking forward to her reaction to our clean sweep, aura melding, learning more about her customs and culture, while teaching her ours

Well, I went into major detail a few threads back, but my points were pretty much that Laki drive seems to live as hedonisticly as possible to avoid what she thinks has become (a failure) and Herb's drive is to become a man. Their drives complement each other and their personalities do as well. Herb also has some interesting ideas what it means to be a man and that also conflicts with Laki's idea of what a man is which is interesting source of conflict.

No matter what Herb is doing I always feel like he is trying to push himself to improve in some way; he tires to become more caring, to be more supportive, to get stronger, to become more skilled as a person or a trainer. He believes a man doesn't give up and protects what they care about. Laki also lived in this way as a pro athlete, trying to constantly improve herself until she hit what she perceived was her wall and gave up. So, she knows a lot about self improvement and the world he now lives that she can teach Herb. Likewise Herb has a lot to teach Laki about new perspectives and perseverance.

Herb has shown a trend of understanding his limitations, but still overcoming obstacles with what he has. In a way Herb always just cooks up the best solution with the ingredients he's got, a constant optimist. Laki is pragmatic and world-weary which keeps Herb in check, but Laki is opened up to new possibilities by Herb. They are extremely honest with one another. i feel like the best of friends don't mind calling their friends out when they think they are wrong and Herb and Laki seem to be able to do that for one another. Though Herb struggles with it himself, he's getting better about speaking his mind.

All in all I feel like they are good influences on one another.

Never mind how Laki is a muscle girl of voluptuous curves, which how do you even do that? Genetics, I guess. I'm pretty glad that sexuality is a lot more open for the Islanders, it's pretty cool.

Honestly, I felt Herb handled that night on the mountaintop pretty damn well. It was a pretty damn significant violation of personal boundaries, but Herb's instinct was never to try to hurt her back. He asked for some space and reassured her.

It's interesting to think about what the experience was like for Keira as she learned what the gravity of the situation could be. She's used to being the one who cannot be touched, not the other way around. I'm sure it gave her a lot to think about.

One reason I like Herb/Keira is because I can totally see Herb supporting her chastity as she trains to become detached enough to take a lover. Reminding her of her oaths when she's needy, but always being there with a massage that's just a massage.

Maybe I just like the idea of being desired and in control, of having the opportunity to be the one who turns down other's advances. It sounds like a middle-school power fantasy. I'll just focus on the hot, committed monogamy aspect.

And then they can experience the joys of the wedding bed together.
>>
[I'm impressed and humbled at the amount and detail of analysis of the characters. I'm going to bed, but I'll answer any questions eventually]
>>
>>1337616
Actually Gobble, any of these
>>1320069
that you don't see being addressed in-quest would be nice.

And, though it's not a specific question, anything you can tell us about our or other's pokemon is always interesting.

For instance, Bella and Cutiefly were watching this gym battle, right? What did they think of it?
>>
I've got a question Gobble! Has the islands ever had cases of polygamous relationships?
And if yes were they seen as strange and a perversion or at the very least tolerated if not accepted?
>>
>>1338528
We aren't doing the harem ending
>>
>>1338550
Harem isn't what I strive for no no.
I strive for a relationship where attraction goes both ways. Like much of the cast have shown.
Where they build off one another and can rely on each other!
Laki with her striving to see others improve, if not herself!
Kiera and her never ending curiosity for the world around her!
Hana's desire to show more and become more than what people see her as!
Valerie and her push to be more outgoing and come out of her father's shadow and become her own woman!
Jane's growing trust of the group, if not affection!
Herb's dreams to become a great cook! To design the latest fashions, to be someone who helps!
They would all mesh together so well. Driving one another towards whatever they wish for as long as they've got the support of each other!
(Course I know this won't ever happen, but I can dream can't I?)
>>
>>1338528
I'll second this question.

>>1338550
Harem is shit, but maybe being in a relationship with more than one girl might be acceptable. I could see a polygamous relationship with two girls and one Herb. I'm not sure I would vote that way, but I wouldn't find it out of character if it wasn't too outlandish for the island culture.
>>
>>1338672
How would you feel about sharing a girl with Polu?
>>
>>1338704
If Herb became even better friends with Polu, and the girl really wanted this to happen, I could see Herb doing a Devil's Threeway with Polu.

Personally I could never do a Devil's Threeway with a girl I really cared about, I'm way too selfish for that. It would have to be a girl I wasn't emotionally attached to.

But the point is moot, cause anon would never vote for that to happen. Anything even approaching gay male sex or any sex involving two men almost always gets voted against.
>>
>>1338734
Polu's a cool dude, I'd be completely fine with him being a part of the relationship.
Didn't list him since it seems like he's not that interested in dudes and the moment in the shower seems to have cemented that fact.
Then there's this mystery girl he's pining over as well. swear to god if she's the Hex Maniac cameo I'll explode.
>>
>>1338789

No but I'd be overjoyed if there ever was even if she's just a background character.
>>
You guys were right, audit quest is real neat. Mary a best. So, thanks for pointing me to that.

No problem. Larro's drawquests are all cute.

>How's that kid coming along with his voltorb's energy training?
The gym handyman? Pretty well, although he's been busy, taking on more responsibilities at the gym.

>Are Kalty and his wife going to have that second kid?
Oh yes. She finally talked him into relaxing and not taking on a million things at once. He's stepped back from projects, is getting his life in order, and suddenly feeling the urge to put another baby in that woman.

>Do the fishing pole brothers ever have get-togethers?
Yup! Most are related or in-laws or something else. They compare on family get-together's all the time. They all have a bit of a multi-way rivalry going on.

>That kid who challenged us to an ice flow race- what's he got to prove?
He's just a jerk, although he's ignorant of that fact. He doesn't realize how he comes off and thought he was cool. Ice riding is something he does to keep busy.

>What are that nice prostitute's aspirations?
Get paid by getting laid. But yeah, she'd love to be in a movie some day, or quit the business all together at some point. Seeing such a sweet kid got her thinking about what she should be prioritizing in life.

>How is that she's at the electric temple coming along?
???

>Is Hydriegon enjoying his freedom, or finding the competition tough?
He's been taking up his time rebuilding his strength. If he was at full strength when he got stuck, he would have blasted out no problem. The fresh air and sunlight are amazing, and he'd really like to meet Herb again to show how he's doing and say thanks. He'd never admit that, though.

>Is our brother making friends?
With local pokemon. That's fine by him, though. He takes after Herb in a lot of ways.

>Did the professor get his equipment fixed?
Yes. He's a bit of a mianlandaboo and ordered some expensive, high-quality equipment after a chat with Jacob.

Seeing images like that make me wanna devise ways to take over the world again via business deals, patents, and acquisitions.

I've been getting my fill of that from Audit Quest. I can't wait until we summon an army of lawyer slimes and litigate the fuck out of that asshole boss.

But hey, apparently here in PIAQ we've got
>multi-way rivalry
instead of three-way investing.

>a mighty dragon of darkness is tsundere for Herb
I-it's not like he likes us or anything! He's just repaying us for the favor!
>>
>>1340315
Hydriegon and Jane would be a good match. They could plot against Herb together!
>>
>>1340333
That is exactly the problem though, they are the same. How would Jane do talking to another Jane?
>>
>>1340354
>How would Jane do talking to another Jane?
In this case? Geting eaten, ideally.
>>
>>1340354
Generally speaking, psychosis.

Failing that, a mirror.

If it turns out she's a witch or a vampire, then I guess we'd need to see what she comes up with. She's sharp, so she might come up with something clever.

I need to know the prostitutes name.

I suggested Trixie Turner before.

You know, like... Turning tricks?

Didn't find it very fitting, even for a stage name and would rather get an official reply, for reasons.

The weirdest thought just occurred to me.

If the waifus formed a magical girl team, what colours would their costumes be?
>>
>>1342145
Keira = Green
Val = Gold?
Laki = Red
Hana = Blue
Jane = Black, but she doesn't start as part of the team.
r63 Herb is Pink
>>
>>1342168
Val would be white, otherwise you're on point
>>
>>1342282
I was thinking that, but I wasn't sure if I wanted to just do Lillie's outfit 2.0. Also white shows dirt too much for Val to want to wear it while doing physical labor.
>>
>>1342301
But val is delicate & rich, why would she ever have to worry about physical labour and dirt when she dresses?
>>
>>1342333
When she is being a magical girl
>>
>>1342341
Magical girl uniforms don't get dirty silly. Either they get battle damage or are pristine.
>>
It also means we have a classic Pink/Red/Blue/Yellow/Green setup, although I'm wondering if yellow would be better for Keira...

This all stemmed from revisiting some old thoughts when I was going through the first quest, since I was watching the first season of PreCure at the same time, and I thought Kat and Robin would make a cute magical girl duo. I eventually buried it because Pokemon and Magical Girl are two flavours that just don't seem to go well together, but maybe if you took the Pokemon out of the equation...

Hey Gobble, if you get tired of Pokemon, have you considered a Magical Girl quest?
>>
>>1342432
You could work pokemon in if you threw in Persona to the mix.

Trainers battle using the spirit/mental equivalents of pokemon, summoned in response to protect their young, fractured minds. When summoned, trainers transform, gaining some of the traits of their pokemon. Battles are now a true mixture of trainer and pokemon battling together.

People wouldn't collect pokemon by finding them in the wild, but instead by beating other trainers and taking their pokemon away. Losses would be traumatic, since you're effectively taking a piece of their mind and soul for your own use. However, it's likely that people would recover over time, allowing them to lose again and have another trainer acquire their pokemon.

Collecting them all would be an interesting experience. In collecting all those pokemon, you're splitting your mind in order to accomodate the personalities and preferences that pokemon represents or defends. Mono-typing would be common, as most people couldn't take the strain.

Finding new pokemon would involve finding new people with new issues who would inevitably conjure new pokemon. Alternately, capturing and using pokemon enough could fuse/evolve them. You'd need to beat another trainer with the old pokemon to get them back, but them's the breaks.
>>
>>1343245
>>1342432
Alternately, go the Madoka route. Pokemon are extraplanar creatures that enter into contracts with trainers. You can battle other trainers for their contracts, stripping them of their powers and increasing your own in exchange for more demands placed on you by capricious pokemon masters.

Oh good, I'm glad they worked it out. That priest was a good guy.

Are we running this weekend? I'm antsy for the next session. Playmaker went on a six week break and I read the Audit Quest archive right after the latest update.

Audit Quest really reinforced my desire to catch a Solosis.
>>
I don't think we've had an actually equivalent to a beach episode. We need to get the whole crew down to the beach sometime. Herb and Polu can get oiled up and play beach volleyball, all the girls will be in bikinis, it'll be great!
>>
>>1344217
If the point is to go to the beach, we've done that. If the point is to get everyone together for socializing and fun, we've done that. If the point is to get to see everyone in alternate costumes, or revealing clothing, we've done that.

I don't think we need to devote an episode to it. We can just go to the beach whenever we feel like it.
>>
>>1344365
We haven't all gone to the beach together.

When you've got the time Gobble could you answer this please?
I do actually think it would help decide things for several people on the monogamous or polygamous route if there was some clarification.
Unless you want us to discover more about it in story if it ever reaches that point that's fine too!
>>
>>1338528
[Yup! It's not that common, but historical, mythical, and a handful of famous figures.

It's seen as strange in most circles, but most people don't give a fuck beyond a bit of gossip. That is assuming, the person can handle everything that comes with it. It might be viewed as a bit egotistical because it's an imitation of some of the great figures.
It all depends who you ask. Laki's island practices it more often than others, and same with Neaka, which has a heavier female population. It's still not very common these days, though.]

This answers a few questions, Herb/Laki/Val sandwich is looking promising

>Same with Neaka, which has a heavier female population.
Herb & Co. are going to Neaka! At the very least we can base Herb's Worry-Free, Worry Seed Coffee corporate headquarters here

>It might be viewed as a bit egotistical because it's an imitation of some of the great figures
Hmm Gobble, I'm curious....this might be more of an RP thing but seeing as we are sworn to secrecy, have any of these great figures been associated with Rayquaza?
