So, long story short I’m an adult now, got a big boy job and generally settled into life after school. My job has odd hours and I’m still learning things. But I’m running tonight and I’ll try to run more than once a year.
>Fate Point: 2
>Money: $565
>Equipment Carried: Tier 2 Assault Rifle. Tier 2 Armor. Tier 1 Pistol. Tier 2 Rucksack. Tier 1 Med-kit. Tier 2 Med-kit. Tier 1 Toolkit.

Your name is William. Not too long ago nobody knew that name but you. At least nobody at The Compound ever used it, “Hey you” was the kindest name you were called on any regular basis. Now though, you’ve been exposed to so much more. Safety, Comfort, Food, Knowledge, Friends. All things that you didn’t truly remember and had missed for so long. Now you had all of them. You were still learning new things every day, at least almost every day. Today you get to learn more, as you go “sight seeing” with Cath and Bellona.

There are two main things that you want to see today, handily they are both in the same place. There’s a “Statue of Liberty” which is a really big green lady and the ocean. From what you’ve read and heard the ocean is really big, so big that you can’t see even a piece of it at the same time. You’ve also been told that it’s made of water that you aren’t allowed to drink because it will do bad things to you.

Still, you believe what you’ve been told and you’re excited to go see things. Especially since you’ve got Cath and Bellona coming with you. The concept of friends is still new to you, but everyone in MMS is friends with you as far as you understand.

Currently you’re walking towards the ocean and the statue, Cath and Bellona on either side of you. Nobody is dressed in armor and you don’t have your rifle either, Morrigan told you not to as it would scare people. Mary said it was safe enough that you could even go without your walking around gear, but Nem said you should still be careful. You…

You brought your walking around gear with you of course. The only place you really feel safe without them is at MMS or in a room with somebody from MMS. You’re already nervous enough in the city with all the tall buildings around, going without a weapon is completely beyond your comfort zone.

Bellona and Cath followed suit, both of them carrying weapons as well. Bellona you know has issues in the past and Cath is always worried about protecting people. Walking around without something to protect themselves is very unlike them. Still, they’re dressed differently than normal. Well, Bellona is. She put on a different kind of shirt and has what you’re pretty sure is called a “skirt” on instead of pants. She’s pretty happy at the moment, a smile on her face and almost a skip in her step. Cath is just wearing a black top instead of her normal jacket top, but even she seems to be slightly happier than normal. Maybe sightseeing is good?

Bellona turns to you as you walk, the grin on her face almost enough to make you ask why she’s smiling so much.

“So Will,” she asks you, “Are you looking forward to Koko’s mission tonight? With the outfits we got there’s sure to be dancing and drinks.”

Cath lets out a grunt at that, glancing over at Bellona.

“Not looking forwards to it Cath?” she asks, moving her eyes to Cath.

“Don’t dance,” Cath says in her own short manner, though she seems more resigned than anything.

“Aww, I’m sure Will would dance with you, he’s a good dancer. Right Will?”

“If Koko has us doing stuff we might not get to dance,” you say to her, causing Bellona to pout.

“She can’t have us doing stuff all night,” she says, as the three of you continue to make your way down the sidewalk and passing other people, “If we do it’ll be noticeable and she said we’re just going to be guards.”

You shrug, you’ve never done anything like this before and it’s not like you can prove it one way or the other. Cath lets out a similar grunt, she seems perfectly fine to let the matter drop, even if Bellona seems put out.

It doesn’t last long though, as a smell starts to reach your nose. It’s an odd smell, one that you’ve never smelled before. It almost smells like… well it’s a mix of salt and some other stuff. Some of it smell a bit gross, but some of it doesn’t smell that bad either. You take a few more sniffs, causing Bellona to do so as well.

“We’re almost there!” she says excitedly, though she doesn’t run off ahead. Cath nods, taking a sniff as well. It’s only a few more minutes until you reach your destination, finally coming out from between the large buildings.

There’s water all in front of you, a blue-grey mix that continually splashes up against the concrete lining the edge. In the distance you can see the big green lady, her back is towards you and she’s holding up a torch. She looks a little beaten up, but there’s still a majesty about her somehow. Beyond her is more blue grey, reaching towards the horizon until you can’t see any more.

Cath and Bellona join you staring at the lady and the water, Bellona’s eyes wide and Cath smiling as her hands rest on the railing.

“Isn’t it amazing Will?” ask Bellona.

As you stare wide eyed at the Green Lady and all of the water out in front of you, the only thing you can do to acknowledge Bellona is to nod. You’ve seen the wide open plains before, there’s nothing surprising about those to you. Kansas and the area around Fort Riley is nothing but rolling fields and open grass except for the odd abandoned town.

This though… you don’t think you’ve ever seen so much water in your entire life. Certainly not in the same place. It seems that New York is a great place to learn things, even if you didn’t know you needed to learn about them.

“Pretty,” says Cath, breaking her own silence for once.

“It is isn’t it?” says Bellona, “Some things never change even after everything that’s been happening.”

It seems that Bellona has some fond memories of the ocean, at least enough to comment on it and how it looks.

“So, do you two want to go see it up close if we can?” asks Bellona, turning to look at the two of you again.

“...Far,” says Cath, “Need a boat.”

“I’m sure there’s somebody we could pay to take us out there,” says Bellona, “Either that or a ferry, they might have those still. Or again, depending on how you look at it.”

“Could go see other stuff,” says Cath, “Buildings.”

“Oooh… I suppose we could go see the Empire State building,” says Bellona, “Or the Freedom Tower.”

The two of them turn to look at you.

“What do you think Will?” ask Bellona, “Do you want to see if we can go to the Statue or go look at the buildings?”

You look back towards all the tall buildings, most of which don’t look all that exciting to you. Then you look forwards toward the ocean and the big green lady. You quickly decide which one you think is more exciting.

“Lets go see the statue,” you say, “Buildings don’t seem exciting.”

“Alright!” says Bellona, “Lets go see if there’s a ferry still running.”

Cath just nods along, not seeming to care too much about going one way or the other.

Bellona grabs your hand, pulling you along the coast and towards some more buildings in the distance. Cath follows along, glancing about before catching up with the two of you. It’s not too far of a walk until you come up to a building that has a boat next to it. Proudly displayed next to the building is a sign stating that it’s a ferry going out to the Statue of Liberty.

“See!” says Bellona, “I told you so!”

Cath just nods and you do as well. Bellona was right and it even seems like the boat is going to be leaving soon. There’s a few other people on the boat, not many but enough that you notice. Even as you sit down near the front at Bellona’s insistence, you can feel the boat rocking back and forth under your feet.

“Have you ever been on a boat before Will?” asks Bellona, even as the people in charge of the boat begin to do stuff, a rumble coming from somewhere underneath you and you start moving.

You shake your head no, you don’t think you’ve ever been on a boat before and if you have you don’t remember.

“Well we’ll see how you handle it,” she says with a smile, seemingly enjoying everything about the day so far.

Cath surprisingly seems to be closing her eyes as the boat moves, the rocking motion increasing as you move deeper into the water. Bellona meanwhile stands up, heading towards the front of the boat where the water is occasionally spraying up.

>Stay seated near Cath.
>Go up with Bellona.

Cath seems to be fine where she is and Bellona is up front enjoying herself. Meanwhile you think the water is sort of interesting but not all that much. At least not enough for you to stand up front and get wet all the time.

Standing up you head back towards the middle of the boat, where there’s an enclosed area and a few people are. Unfortunately there’s not a lot, just more seats and a place where there used to be food served, but there’s nobody there at the moment. It doesn’t look very exciting. You notice a stairway up to the upper floor, at least you think that’s what it is. You aren’t sure if boats have floors.

Nevertheless you make your way upstairs, coming up to an uncovered deck even higher and windier than the one you were just on. There’s only one person up here, an old man up front who looks like he might be asleep. Interesting to you though is the small building up top, where a man is holding a wheel. He appears to be the one steering the boat. There’s a number of knobs, levers and dials that he seems to be looking at as he steers the boat through the waves.

You watch the man for a while, long enough that he notices you. He smiles and gives you a bit of a wave before going back to the steering. You decide to give him a small wave back, turning to notice that the statue is finally starting to get close. Heading down the stairs, you find Cath and Bellona both where you left them. Bellona does turn around when you approach, giving you a smile.

“Enjoying yourself?” she asks.

“Yes,” you reply to her.

“Good!,” she says, “We’re almost there, so hopefully we’ll have some more fun.”

You nod, Cath finally opening her eyes as the boat bumps up against the little island that the statue is on. Hopefully she’s right. You like having fun.

The following writings are by Morrigan and generally found scattered across her room.

Mercenary 2030 Quest Omake 1, Morrigan’s thoughts on Will.

*The following is written on several different sheets of rough paper between finger, liquid and food smudges, rough ammo calculations, doodles and the occasional rant about various other things*

Mary says that we’re getting a new recruit, something about the government welfare program that got set up for returning people? I don’t know and frankly I think it’s stupid. Probably some idiot who got trapped behind the frontiers that wandered back in with a half working gun, no manners and hasn’t seen a woman in forever.

I’ll straighten them out if they get wrong ideas, not that any of the girls need my help but I’m the boss around here. If they don’t cut it I’ll send them back or put them in a body bag myself. Me and the girls don’t need any help, anybody they send will have to prove themselves. I don’t need any deadweight around.

*The next entry has several stops and starts scribbled out before it goes*

They gave us a war orphan. Not a goddamn trapper or scavenger or anything like that. A fucking war orphan.

God knows how long he was out there with whatever nutjob group they found him in. Seen the type before, we all have. Thankfully he doesn’t seem like one of the ones they kept hopped up on dope, he just sits there and is quiet if he doesn’t have anything to do. Not that that happens a bunch, I had to fucking tell him off after he tried to clean our gear for the third time in one day. Mary seems to like the kid cause he tries to read just like her, but I’m still just hoping he’s not going to secretly snap on us.

To give credit where it is due the kid follows orders to a T and knows how to work his weapon properly. He’s got a few kills already, kills I’ve seen and they were good ones. He’s not a drain, so I don’t think I’ll kick him out. Still might have to kill him if he wigs out.

*This entry is written with much better handwriting than the previous ones, on a piece of paper that is free of stains and scribbles*

MMS officially has two new members. One of whom currently currently seems to have joined up because of Billy. Billy bless his weird little ass, I think is here to stay. He may not have any fucking clue what to do outside of helping out around the place or on a mission, but he doesn’t cause any problems either. I’d almost say it was nice that he didn’t seem interested in girls, if I didn’t know how absolutely fucked up he has to be for that to happen.

Currently I think Bellona and Sarah are going to stay. Sarah was nothing but solid on mission and while I think Bellona is probably a few rounds short of a full belt, she’s been around for a week and behaved herself. I can’t deny that having six people allows more flexibility than just three either. As long as she doesn’t go coo-coo on us I think things will work out.

Still gotta keep an eye on Billy though. We had a talk on the last mission after he tripped on a bottle. He seemed certain I was going to beat him. Not concerned, absolutely certain I was going to beat his ass because of something that could have happened to anyone. Told him I wasn’t, he seemed more confused than anything. Told him about my first time, what happened. Not sure if he got the whole thing or not, but I think I finally convinced him he’s safe at MMS.

Bell and Nem also put some weird stuff into his head about sleeping together… hopefully nothing comes of it. I said I’d help him if it did… dunno how I feel about it now that I’ve had a chance to think. Still, don’t think it’d turn weird from his end.

*A stub entry on a scrap of paper partially burned by a cigarette*

Billy was fucking AWESOME at Docs. Like, he drank Cath and Bell under the fucking table and carried them home. Never seen Cath do that before, think she’s got some sorta thing going on with Bell about Billy, but it was still nuts. Billy… saw Billy smile. Good stuff.

*This entry is made in what seem to be a diary format, but has several moisture rings on it.*

Well let it never be said I ignore my own fuckups. Nor that of my team. Cath and I both fucked up when it comes to Billy. Cath managed to punch him in the face when he was waking her up and I got piss drunk and pointed a gun at his face.

Billy took Cath hitting him well, but Cath didn’t. For Billy since it was an accident it might as well not have happened. Cath couldn’t even look at him for a few days, but I think they’ve patched it up.

As for me, well Billy took a gun to the face about as well as could be expected from someone in his situation. Which was fucking not at all. He almost had a breakdown in my goddamn room and he certainly had a breakdown in the morning. Ran down the stairs almost tripping over himself to the armory. He didn’t acknowledge me until I practically turned him around.

The look on his face… He was terrified. He was straight terrified of me. Hit me like a punch in the gut after I thought about it. Thankfully he didn’t try to go for a gun or anything, he would’ve had the chance to shoot us… well me. Don’t think he would’ve gone after anyone else. Managed to talk him down and get him to spill his guts. Fucking… every time I hear a horror story and say it won’t make me disgusted next time. Never works. Especially when I know the person. Fucking cowards who hide behind kids deserve whatever they get.

I think Billy got calmed down finally after I told him I wasn’t going to shoot him, but I still hope he doesn’t hold it against me.

*Entry made in even worse handwriting, a spill covers part of the page.*

Fucking Billy is an awesome dude. Like, super awesome. Did da mission, no problems. Got away safe, pretty cool. Fucking slavers not cool. Billy calming down some. Talking more. He seems to be fitting in more. Still won’t say boo to a fucking goose but thems the breaks.

But tonight! Tonight Billy was fucking awesome. Mars came into town and I got suuuper pissed before they even showed up. Went to Doc’s to get wasted and we managed to do that. But Mary got Will to bounce all the Mars fuckheads and they were all like, calm and shit. Then they tried to out drink Will! He drunk nine guys under the table! Nine! He drank so fucking much like holy shit. I drank so much too… should go to sleep.
>>
>>1327542
*Entry made in a more formal manner again.*

Well, that last week has been fucking nuts. First we hit Salina with Mars and Koko, who is still fucking loco. Attack went as well as could be expected, even if we had to deal with that weird chick. Didn’t find much loot but it was enough. Everyone worked together well as a team, no casualties. Will seems to be growing more emotional, at least a bit. We all saw what he did with the women and Cath told me he seemed to notice later as well. That’s good. I like Billy, he’s a good kid and he deserves more than he’s gotten in life.

After that of course we found that gang on their way to Fort Riley. Gang is wrong of course, they were more like a company of trained troops. Don’t know what they were doing or where they came from but they weren’t on our side. Thankfully Will got the garrison to come along with us after I fucked up. If we hadn’t had them it would’ve been a lot bloodier than it was. Might’ve gotten more than just my shoulder beat up.

Of course Will decided to take care of me as well afterwards. “Useful” like he always want to be. Might’ve talked too much to him, but he listens well. No judgment, he just sucks it all up. I swear I even see something in his eyes now. He’s not blank, not fully.

*In much smaller writing in what might be a diary*

I can’t fucking believe I had the talk with Will. Like, how the hell do you explain sex to someone who looks like Will? If this was a few years ago he would’ve been some kind of high school sports jock except maybe not an ass. If I didn’t know it was Will I’d think he was knee deep in girls. Of course I didn’t even explain how tab a goes into slot b, he didn’t need that. Not yet at least. Not that I fucking have much to explain to him about that. Might have Mary explain that bit. Nobody else I’d trust. Nem knows but I mean fucking hell. Cath, and Bell are right out. Sarah I don’t think would be able to do it, not that I’d ask her. Which leaves Mary or I. Fucking hell, he may even ask me if he gets deep enough in those books of his. I’ll need more than a drink if that happens.
>>
Huh. She might have a crush on Will she just doesn't know it.

How.. old is Nem?
>>

Everyone in MMS is older than Will. He of course doesn't know this, but they are.
>>
>>1327570
You planning on doing anymore of these from Morrigan? Or other POVs?

I'm sort of hoping for a yes and sort of dreading seeing his most recent breakdown. Usually when voting I don't think I consider the stress it puts on the others. Kinda puts it into perspective.
>>
>>1327580
Planning on doing everyone up to the major time skip at the moment. Need to keep a bit of distance between what I let you guys know and what's actually happening. I know most won't metagame but it's better not to tempt.

Also yes, Will does have an effect on others around him even if he doesn't know.
>>
>>1327595
Any idea who's next? If you're not looking to give things away I think Cath might be a deal breaker.

Her limited speech would mean any detailed written things would just sorta be mind blowing.
>>
>>1327570
I waited for this for so long, thank you for writing it, now time to be greedy and say "Mary pov when?"
>>
>>1327546
Interesting that she stops referring to him as "Billy" and now calls him "Will"
>>
>>1327604

I think either Mary or Cath next. As for not giving stuff away, there's stuff I want you guys to see based on how I try to describe the characters, but I'm sure I don't get across.

Plus it's fun to write things up behind the scenes and lets me build the characters.

Ah posting from phone. He becomes Will after she says she likes him.

Your name is William and currently you are on what you’ve just learned is called Liberty Island. Well actually you learned it an hour ago, but it’s recently compared to a lot of things you know. You, Cath and Bellona opted to go for the tour of the island, a helpful guide explaining to you all about the island and statue. To your great surprise the statue, which does look a bit more beat up when you get closer, actually came from the other side of the ocean.

When you saw the ocean you wouldn’t have guessed people could cross it, but when the very large boats coming into the city past the statue were pointed out to you, you started to get an idea of how that could happen. Bellona and Cath seemed to enjoy themselves looking around and you did as well. Everything was new and interesting, it wasn’t all that cold and your friends were happy.

Now things were winding down, your exploring at an end as the island wasn’t all that big. You still had a few more minutes before the boat would come back and you could leave.

Bellona is leaning against the railing, looking out to sea, with you and Cath standing nearby as a man with a funny shaped box approaches you.

“Would you folks like a picture taken?” he asks you.

You blink, taken aback for a second. You’ve seen pictures before of course, but all of stuff in books already. You didn’t know that you could take a picture of… well you.

“Will let’s take a picture!” says Bellona, already jumping over from the railing as the man speaks.

“Me too,” says Cath.

The man smiles, though you think it’s a bit confused for some reason.

Anyway you…

Group photo is Bell, Cath and Will.

Other option means two individuals.

>>
>>1330582
In the end you end up taking lots of pictures. Well, four actually. First Bellona and Cath each take a picture with just you. Bellona is smiling widely and makes you do the same, though you think it’s a bit strange how she presses herself up against you. Cath does the same, though her smile isn’t quite as wide as Bellona’s. She still takes your arm and holds it close to her. The third picture you get as a group. Bellona and Cath both get beside you and you all smile together. Finally you make Bellona and Cath get a picture together, just so everybody did it.

The man smiles and goes away to a booth nearby, coming back with several prints of each and giving them to you as the boat pulls up. Bell and Cath seem to whisper together for a bit before they pass each other a few. Then they hand the rest of the packet to you, where you see one of each of the pictures.

“Thanks for the pictures Will,” says Bellona with a smile on her face.

Cath nods, looking down at the pictures she has before putting them in her pocket.

The three of you board the boat back, roughly the same number of people as you had on the way there.

“So~” says Bellona, “I suppose we could head back and be safe for Koko’s party. Or we could go grab something to eat and head back. I’d love to get some pizza, I hear it’s still good around here.”

Cath tilts her head back and forth, indicating that she could go either way.

Bell turns to you. “What do you think Will? Want to try some real New York Pizza?”

“Food is good,” you say, just before another question comes upon your mind.

“What’s pizza?” you then ask.

“Pizza is delicious, that’s what it is,” says Bellona, “It’s got cheese and sauce and mmm...” Bellona seems to go off into her own world for a while.

You glance over at Cath, who simply nods in agreement. You suppose that pizza must be really good then, if both Bellona and Cath enjoy it. The boat ride back is relatively quick and you amuse yourself by looking at the pictures that you got taken with Bellona and Cath. It’s sorta weird, you didn’t do anything special, but now you have pictures to remind you that you went and saw the statue together. It gives you a funny feeling in your stomach.

By the time you reach the shore you can feel hunger growing in your stomach, despite the fact that you ate at breakfast. You’ve grown used to having lots of food and your body has responded accordingly. As you get off, Bellona asks someone directions to a good pizza place and then begins to lead you towards it.

“It’s a mom and pop place, real New York style!” she says. You have no idea why there would be different kinds of the same food, but it’s probably like how Doc and Mary make different things.

It takes you some time to get to the place, but it is on a main street and full of people. Bellona leads the way inside, Cath following behind you. You get seated and Bellona orders for you. A few minutes later a big round thing that glistens with cheese and meat on top arrives at your table, sliced into pieces.

“Dig in!” says Bellona, already grabbing a slice. Cath follows suit, pulling out a piece.

You do so as well, holding it carefully as you maneuver it into your mouth. After a bite, flavor hits your mouth, causing you to let out a sound of happiness.

“It’s good, isn’t it Will?” asks Bellona.

You nod, digging into your pizza.

Half an hour later, the pizza is gone, everyone is happy and you’re leaving the pizza place.

“That was great, hopefully we get to stop again,” says Bellona.

“Good,” says Cath.

You smile, your belly full, even as you head towards a mission for Koko.

*The following is written inside of a well kept diary, with large flowing letters written by a steady hand.*

Morrigan forgot to tell us that we were getting a new recruit today. I think Mary expected her to, otherwise she would have said something. It was surprising to see him standing there, then to put his stuff in a corner when we told him to get ready. I thought there would be issues since he was a boy, but all he did was follow orders. His hands didn’t move until we got him his kit.

I thought I saw him looking when we were on the march, but he wasn’t. Not how they normally do. He was just checking our weapons, our stride. I don’t think he even knew he was doing it on purpose, it was automatic. He just went back to marching after he was done talking to Morrigan.

I was surprised when he didn’t want me to clean his gear. I was more surprised when he knew how to clean as well as he did. He took care of the guns while I did the armor. He was very thorough and put everything back where it belonged. Much better than anyone else who tried to help. Morrigan and Nem always make a mess and Mary only knows how to clean her gear. Will might even be better than me but I need to show him how to clean the armor.

Offered to work out with Will, he said yes. He didn’t know how to do it at all to start with, but he followed directions. Still didn’t look, felt a bit more comfortable around him. His eyes are still odd though, he’s seen too much. Just like everyone here.
>>
>>1339137
*Entry made at a later portion of the diary in the same hand*

Will is still exercising with me. He’s still not very good but he’s learning quickly and I’ve already upped his weight once. It’s nice to have somebody there with me in case something happens. Morrigan does her own PT and Nem is Nem. He also offered to clean the gear with me again, he picked up on cleaning the armor quickly. Makes the work go faster with him there. He still hasn’t looked, even though he’s had the chance plenty of times. Nobody else has lasted this long.

He’s strange like that, he doesn’t look, doesn’t sleep in his bed and he’s still afraid to eat very much. When I woke him up he froze, like he was expecting to be hurt. He didn’t really seem to know what eggs and sausage were when he ate either. I don’t think he’s eaten very much in quite a while.

Took him to Doc’s after Nem and Morrigan went. Made sure that he knew not to draw first, Doc is nice but he doesn’t like problems. He didn’t order anything to drink, just water. Probably for the same reason he doesn’t eat much. Made a mistake, let him go off on his own. Somehow got in trouble with a weird girl in the back, had to pry her off of him after they started fighting. Thankfully she gave up quick, but I’ll keep an eye out.

After we left Will asked why you would sleep with someone. I turned bright red, it was so embarrassing to hear him ask that with how he looks. He didn’t know though, he just didn’t understand. He also thought that the bed wasn’t for him, that he wasn’t allowed on it. Morrigan told him that he could, he seemed confused. Hopefully it works out, Will isn’t bad, just lost.

*Entry made mostly in the same hand, more marks for erasure and corrections made, almost as if in haste near the bottom.*

We had a talk about Will the other morning. Morrigan brought it up, sometimes you forget how responsible she is with her normal attitude. Mary didn’t quite believe us when we told her since she wasn’t there, but she came around after I told her he’d never looked. She seemed a bit surprised at that, but we all agreed to try and help Will as we could.

When we worked out again he acted like he always does. I upped the weight again, he’s growing fast. It’s strange how much really, like his body is making up for all the times he didn’t have enough. He looks normal enough, no big scars on his upper body. Still hasn’t looked.

Afterwards he went out with Morrigan, then they came back with the girl from the bar. Apparently she was looking for a job and wanted to join up. Concerned she just wants to join up for Will. A second girl joined as well, she’s a bit quiet but not like Will. She’s a sniper and the other one has a LMG like I do.

Took them out on a mission the next day, one that was quite far away. The girl, Bellona, didn’t seem to act up during the march, but she did watch Will. We got there late, Will offered to pull out a blanket and she jumped on it so I did too. Just to watch over Will of course. It was warm and Will seemed to enjoy himself, as much as he ever enjoys things. His eyes didn’t seem nearly as dark as they used too.

The mission went well, even with the new people. Nobody got hit, even if Will did give us a scare. Found a decent stash in a nearby building and spent the night. Nothing weird happened so far. Hopefully when we make it back things will quiet down a little bit.
>>
>>1339143
*Entry made with less than steady hand and there are a few spots that look like they were tapped on repeatedly with the writing instrument.*

I can’t believe it, I hit Will! I just punched him when he woke me up! I mean, I didn’t mean to but it was still my fault. It’s even worse because it started the night before!

Will finally decided to order some food and he even picked vodka instead of whiskey like Morrigan and Nem have. Good choice but… agh! Bellona started to pour him more to drink and then I joined in! Why did I do that?! At first it was just to keep her off of Will, but then it got more serious and before I knew it we were both drunk. The only one who wasn’t was Will! Then he carried me home. He carried both of us home. I remember doing stuff to him on the way back, nothing dangerous but still!
Then when we finally got home and Mary took Bellona I did something worse! I… I did it on purpose! I said I’d never do it after all the times… after… everything. But I did. I even told him that I knew he wasn’t looking! But he just took care of me. He must have, I don’t remember making it to bed. The next thing I remember is punching him.
Then of course he didn’t say anything. He was fine. The worst part was that he meant it. He didn’t care that I’d hit him. He’s had it so bad that it didn’t even register for him to complain about it or even say it hurt. I know he doesn’t care, but I don’t think I can face him right now.
>>
>>1339145
*Entry made with shaky hand, a few water spots on the page.*

Will… asked about me. Even he could tell I was upset. We were working out and he asked me if I was ok. I was surprised. Will is messed up, but I think he’s getting better. When he was first here he wouldn’t have noticed. I tried to explain to him why I felt so bad, but he still said it was ok. That didn’t make me feel any better, but he wanted to help.
I know that a large part of that is just him but, it was still nice to hear. Then when I took him to my room, that wasn’t a good choice. It helped, it really did but it was stupid. I was using him as a replacement. Still he listened to my request and that was nice. Normally he just blurts things out if he’s asked questions.
We have a mission we’re leaving on soon, hopefully it goes well.

*Writing is back to a steady hand and clean lines.*

The mission went as well as it could. Scouting out a hostile location is always dangerous but we weren’t spotted. Morrigan was pleased and so was everyone else I think. I certainly don’t mind not getting shot at. We’re going to head back towards Salina later today.
Last night was a highlight. Mars rolled into town to deal with Salina, Morrigan was not happy. Neither was I to be honest with what some of them tried but Morrigan is more vocal about it. Mary even came with us to the bar but Will stopped anything bad from happening. Mars was well behaved to be honest, but it came down to Will winning a drinking contest. He beat nine full grown men by himself. Even with Bellona and I supporting him it was something almost unbelievable. What was even more unbelievable was that he looked so… calm during it. It wasn’t quite happy, but it was good for will to do that I think.
He was drunk though, so very drunk. Bellona and I carried him home, I don’t think he noticed most of the trip. He did manage to get up the stairs on his own, but it was a near thing and he would’ve passed out fully dressed on his bed if we hadn’t been there to take care of him. Bellona pointed out something that I just had to agree with, even though I’m not sure I fully trust her yet. Will has a good face when it’s at peace.
He still hasn’t looked.
>>
>>1339147
*Entry made with characteristic steady hand, though some lines are firmer than others.*

The last few days have been intense. The attack on Salina went pretty well. Nobody got hurt and we did our part. We even rescued some sex slaves that they were holding in secure rooms. I… I can’t even describe the rage I felt when I saw them, how broken most of them were. Even Will seemed to understand, he moved away from them when they first came out. Later he even asked one of the girls if it was ok for him to be around. While I don’t think he fully understands his own reasons, Will is growing. It’s heartwarming to see and I realized I need to do so myself. Still, it’s hard breaking habits.

On the way back Will tried to talk to me about the day on the bed. I… I couldn’t really talk to him about it. I started to but… I didn’t want anyone to hear. I feel terrible, I can’t even tell Will who doesn’t have a judgmental thought in his head about why I did that. I wanted to tell him later, alone, but then we ran into that force.

We were lucky Morrigan discovered them, if we’d crested the hill it would’ve been trouble. It still was when we ran into the patrol, but with that head start we still managed to get things done. Will… I couldn’t believe him when he spoke up like that, advocated trying again to get the garrison on our side. I told him on the way, told him why. At least a little bit. He seemed to understand. Then at the garrison, he was amazing. He spoke up, spoke well and managed to convince them to let us in and then to believe us.

Only a little while ago I would’ve never imagined Will doing stuff like that. He’s so quiet most of the time, like when we were waiting for the enemy to arrive. I don’t think he knows it, but he’s pretty warm. I think if he keeps growing like he is he might turn out to be very warm.

The battle was intense and Morrigan got hit, but luckily not very badly. Will took care of her even if she didn’t need immediate attention. We all helped out after it was over, then went to Doc’s for a drink.

Will still hasn’t looked. I don’t think I’d mind if he did though.
>>
Hmm. I wonder if she lost a kid.

I could be wrong but she seems.. a bit more simple that Morrigan.
>>
>>1339289

>>
>>1339289

>>1339515
Yeah I'm wondering if the building collapse was actually an indicator of what happened.
