Let me know when you are here, guys!

1. Hybrid breeding program to cross Miel's bloodline with that of a Heven Jungle Honey Fairy hive, to produce stronger, more robust honey fairies that are also loyal and industrious.
>Got the Jungle Faeries, need to construct a Language Square at Hive Heven so that the Hegemony can Parley with the Jungle Faeries and make them into Vassals.

2. Getting the succubus tribe in New Hope, Eldric's hometown, to begin producing high-quality glass test tubes, flasks, and beakers so that he can put his chemical engineering knowledge to use.
>Succubus Tribe has been brought to New Hope; still need to be taught how to make glassware.

3. Get a progress report on the Inter-Dimensional Probe ship that is the current focus of our Albion research team.
>Need to build second series of probes and send them.

4. Progress report on Eldric's level, and if it's close to Lyann, Zoe, Stella, or Baldric's level.
>Eldric is a weak bum and needs to grind. His little sisters are higher level than him.

5. Progress on creating the linked journals between the Northern Coalition's centers of learning and the Heavenly Empire's think tank, to speed up research.

6. Linda's progress in creating XCOM's research and development division.

7. Meeting with Brass and Python, as well as Miiyau, and setting up requests at Adventurer Guilds, to track down the origin of the misinformation campaign against Plant Monsters. Also ask Tapac and Euphrosyne if they know anything about the misinformation.
>Completed; turned out that Plants really are bad as Pets compared to others. But Lightbringer Archives should have made the knowledge that Plants are great against [ERROR]s an important family knowledge; this failure of Baldric and Tupac should not be forgiven or forgotten.

8. The infodump on the Silverspire Forest.

>9. Miel land purchase completed.

11. Speak with Honoria about getting bricks that can be used in glass-making furnaces.

12. Check in with the hive that's growing in New Hope, and see their progress and if they need anything.

13. Ask Tanis about the unique spelltricks she knows, and learn them from her. Reward her with lots of love.

14. Give a house in New Hope to Nina so that she and her sisters are no longer Monsters but a Civilized Race, and help out the Harpies who are still in the wild.

15. Check in with Dusk and see how the maid training of Aurora and Kiyana is going.

16. Investigate the smugger in the Eopolis Warehouse District that’s using our warehouses to smuggle in Alquian goods.

Other:
A. Set up the live-fire combat tests in the Jade Islands for the [ERROR] invasion, preparing the needed equipment and troops.
B. Begin transferring troops from our friends nations to Peacekeeper Command, and loyal troops to the XCOM Project.
C. Get teams of accountants ready to properly audit the resources of the nations in order to prepare budgets for Peacekeeper Command and XCOM.

> Hybrid breeding
We already stablished there can be no hybrids in this world. Offspring are of the same race as either of the parents.

What we can do is get them to form a hybrid society. The jungle faeries are better as soldiers and scouts, while honey faeries are better workers and planners.

>Succubuss-made equipment
Let them get used to their new home first. I know its been a while in real life, but in-game its been just a little over a week. This is because I asked if you guys wanted to go day by day or if we should skip forth from time to time and you guys wanted to go day by day.

I still think we should do a timeskip sometimes.

>New probe
Same thing. Old probe was launched just 2 days ago

>Eldric's level compared to the girls.
Hasn't changed, order-wise. Much less of a gap now, though, at least towards our sisters, and we passed Lyann, but will probably never pass Ren since she started doing the thing we are doing now, with a wide time advantage.

>Linking research centers.
This could be done pretty quickly, let's do it this thread

>XCOM progress
Have we asked her to do it? I keep reading you asking about the result, but I really really dont remember asking her to do it.

>Silverspire forest infodump.
Will try to get to it today, but there's not really that much to it. I guess we can do it IC by researching into Aritsu's homeland? I think its a good thing to do since we want to marry her. Knowing her customs and such

>Firebricks
You know, that's slightly funny because they're a whole plot point in a LN im reading... basically because "you need firebricks to make firebricks, or firebrick fragments to mix with regular brick stuff to make firebricks" has the protagonists pissed off there.

>Check the new hive
We literally started it yesterday in-game

>Learn Tanis spelltricks.
Seems good

>House for Nina
We talked about it, I think. We're keeping them as monsters until they're all at least as smart as an adult human. Also, shouldnt we get her a house across from our own house in Albion? I don't think it would be good to send them away.

>Succubuss maids.
Sure, seems good

We need to set the international force first. I dont think we can do it in this thread today but let's do it asap.
>>
>>1407984
Miellewds-guy here.

>Level gap between Eldric and Ren
Then what Eldric needs to do is figure out XP multipliers he can apply to himself and his parties, to boost XP gain.

>House for Nina
The New Hope house was simply because we own the town. A house in Albion across from our family's house, or one of the neighboring houses would be better.

>XCOM Progress
I thought we did. But even if we did, as you said, it's only been a few days at most. This was mostly so that we don't forget to do it eventually.

Alright so let's see... today, finish the work day with Nina, then organize the linked journals for the labs, and while we are at Eopolis, get some more schematics from Alard's goliat friend (remind me his name). to improve the communication network between labs and our friends so we can send large schematics through.

Anything else you want done today?

Here is the thread where we got Okaba and Asmund to turn the Linked Journals into a fax machine that can also print magic circuits en mass.

How come uncle looks so refreshed right now? What time is it? Is it still the same day? Is it really this hard to handle a multicontinental trading company? How come Elderwood is so good against spells, but bad for ship hulls? Why am I? Is Nina alright? Is Nina?

At this point, we're pretty tired.

We need way more than a 15 minutes break for tea and pastry.

Stop being such a slacker and a bum, Eldric.
You were put on this world to keep it from falling apart because your grandfather's plan is dumb, your demi-god butler is only a thousandth the competency of an Alfred Pennysworth, and your father wanted an easy life.

"Uncle, since I've brought Nina along, I want to let her try some sea food. It's not as if we see much of it up in the mountains."
"Oh? So you want to try local cuisine, is it? I know just the place."

That's how, we're seating at the counter of a nearby fish cookery(1). It's a nice and small place, where the cooks seem to also be the owners, and are quite acquainted with our uncle.

It's just two blocks from the office, so I guess he must come here often.

What's the catch of the day? Well, you need to remember that food is acquired via loot in this world, so rather than the catch of the day, is the loot of the day.

Apparently, there's a nearby foodgeon near the shore some blocks away, so this place boasts of fresh fish filette on a regular basis.

I wonder if you would call it cheating, as far as cooking goes, if you can just loot [Fine][boneless fish filette] and then just fry it...

Probably not. A lot more goes into cooking than just throwing meat on the grill and mildly burn it, after all.

We can see the cook adding other ingredients and ... then he used [Cook] and it was done.

That's cheating right? Do we count it as cheating?

We know that [Craft] requires you to first be able to actually craft the thing before you can use a skill to instantly produce it, so that means the chef 'can' cook it the old fashion way if he feels like it.

But I don't think serving your experiments to your customers is a good idea. Actually, if he's using [Cook] to reproduce a finished dish, doesn't that means every dish is the best possible dish?

Oh, now we can look forward to it.

Three dishes are presented, one for each of us.

1 - Sorry, don't know the english term for a small restaurant that serves recently caught fish. I like in a coast city so they're fairly common here, though. Right to a side of the fishing terminal, where you can see the fishermen hailing their catch around.

We take a look at the meal through or [Ring of Knowledge]. Well, to anyone else, it looks a little odd, but at worst they'll think we are inspecting the ring for some reason.

[Fine][Steamed Crab with Hot Sauce]
Replenishes 40 mp per minute for 1/2 hour
Replenishes 40 hp per minute for 1/2 hour

Well, if it was for a regular person, it would be an excellent meal, but with our stats, mp and hp pool, 40 of each per minute is nearly nothing.

If we wanted food to have an effect on us, we'd need something that was % based off our max hp or mp, you know?

Still, it is quite delicious.

"Ah, the sauce is pretty nice." - we venture forth while sipping some cool fruit juice.

It seems the 'fridge' has spread widely already, which is nice.

"Ah... it burns my tongue..." - says Nina as she tries to fan her mouth and goes 'oh oh oh'
"Try some fruit juice." - offers our uncle

As we eat, uncle Worlfric explains the accounting system, and once we make it back to the office, he helps us go through the books.

"You should take these ones with you." - he says as he hands us some of the books - "These have private investments recorded separatedly, so you can see who your main investors are."
"Ah, thank you."
"No, no, it's just work. There will be a celebration in a week to launch the newest rockitship model, and its a good chance for you to meet the investors yourself."
"Uhh... alright. Is there a dress code?"
"Good point, I guess local fashion should be expected. Do you want me to recommend you a tailor? Your garments are of high quality, but in a foreign style."

Devadashi is seen as a very important job, though? The fact its a slave job is because of 'willing submission to your god' so its not a social problem at all, though.

Once we are done with the books for today, our uncle invites us to drop by at home for dinner before heading back to Albion, but we still have plenty of things to do before we can call it a day.

We thank him for his time and work so far (we probably should thank him in a more meaningful manner. Probably), and ask for that tailor's adress before we [Treestride] over to the Throne of Heven (Okaba's palace) to meet with our friend.

When we say that we [Treestride] to the palace, though, we meant the outer garden, of course.

We approach one of the guards, and ask him to notify our friend about our presence.

Honestly, it's not a big deal. We just want to ask him for a few extra linked journals he may have, so we can link the laboratory at the university with the think tank in the empire.

This time, though, it is Aura alone who comes out to greet us.

She's wearing a very stylish, long silk and cotton garment that looks like a jacket if it had but the topmost part of it buttoned close, floating behind her as she walks, and showing off her amazing figure.

Well, this is pretty normal fashion for her species over here. Even though the 'jacket' only covers her breasts, shoulders, arms and neck, leaving her exposed from her torso down, her tail is wrapped around her left thigh and reaches forth between her thighs, adding that little bit of extra modesty to her appearance.

Honestly, it's amazingly erotic, you know? Not having any clothes lines breaking the lines of her body down to her feet looks very fresh and sensual, but it may just be that our opinion is affected by our cultural bias. Anyway *cough* beautiful women really look best with less adornments, you know?

"Eldric, please be welcomed" - she smiles and politely holds our hands, then kisses them to show her happiness upon seeing us.

She ignores Nina, but... well, she's a pet. You wouldnt usually greet your friend's dog, though if you did, it would probably not be in an official manner, right?

"I am sorry to say that his majesty is currently busy, and will not be able to meet you at this moment." -she apologizes- "But if you stay for dinner, you can talk with his majesty at that time."

>Thank you, in that case, we'll wait

Our pretty friend shakes her head as she smiles.

"His majesty is busy tending to his royal duties. You can meet with him during dinner, however."
"Hm... that's rather vague. Is it s budget meeting, or is he passing judgement as king, or talking to his generals?"
"In most of those... no, in any of those, I would still be by his side, however?"
"I guess you are right... then, what is he doing?"
"He is talking with his mother, the former queen, about choosing an official wife and siring a child..." -she says softly

Ah. Quite a delicate topic.

After all, Okaba formally and publically marrying Aura is still not possible, right? Even though they are married, it was a private ceremony and they haven't had any children yet... as far as we know.

Well, she looks more than capable of it... ah, we're not looking at our friend's loved one with lewd eyes, though! Just honestly worried about her health! I swear!

She smiles a little bit. I guess she knows what we're thinking.

"Her majesty wants him to take a majin wife, as a gesture to the traditionalists in the court. His highness is adamant about 'remaining single' until our union is made public."
"I see..."

Even if their social status is much higher now, and even ignoring race issues, I guess an old civilization would do things like worry about the king's bloodline, right?

But, if the child will be of one of the parents races, and they can choose the race, then there's no problem?

Guys, Im not feeling well so Im sorry but we'll go slow, okay?

"Ah, is a bloodline issue, since his higness' bloodline is after all the line of kings..." -she says
"In other words, they want a pure majin child?"
"Exactly. His highness is trying to break with tradition, but has to take it one step at a time, after all."
"Well, who do they want him to bear a child with, then?"
"there are a three candidates, including his highness' sister."
"You mean Kya? I didnt think they were THAT traditional about bloodlines."
"Well, it's not as if his majesty has any inclination to that effect."
"And the others?"
"Two daughters of good families, of course."

Aura nods

"I'll do as his majesty wishes." -she says- "But marrying was always his idea. I would have been fine as long as he would have let me be with him."
"..."

She leads us to a garden in the inner palace. It is a platform above the cliff, with a beautiful view of the clouds and the city below. Round, of white stone, with a tree in the middle providing ample shadow, and a round stone table around it.

Since the stone looks like it has no seams, they probably grew the tree after placing the table there.

That's a lot of patience. The effect is gorgeous, though.

"Please wait here. I will send someone to entertain you if you wish, but his majesty wanted you to read these while waiting."

She hands us a journal, and we see its a study in government in a theoretical system based on merit and intellect, rather than bloodline or position.

Uh... its not actual democracy, it seems? The ruler can't choose to step down, either. It's still something like a caste system.

Children would have their intelligence measures as they grow, and a chosen few will enter public service.

Well, it sounds farfetch'd but we CAN look at someone and see in numbers, exactly how smart that person is, after all.

So can Okaba thanks to his magical glasses.

So, he wants to change from a caste system where humans work, majin manage and sucubbuss create, to something where people are assigned their role individually, rather than by race.

Eh...

>I guess we'll encourage him

"Ah, it's really soft..." - Nina looks quite happy with her robe-

It is more of a rather form-fitting dress, with the same flowing, open robe Aura was wearing. Well, it has a whole other layer under it, though.

Right, we had seen majin ladies wear something in this style. And of course, its design was made with wings in mind, so it has folds and slits int he back for wings to peek through.

It looks very nice, actually. Sort of makes me think of a tight silk wrap with a robe on top, but the design is so elegant that it just looks classy.

Ah, I wonder if we should visit a local clothes store another day and get some dresses for our winged pets?

Seems good. I think.

At the dinning hall, we are greeted by our friend, and he invites us to seat with him so we can talk while he has a meal. Apparently he has a lot of work for after dinner, so he's keeping as busy as our uncle, it seems.

Right now it's just us four. That is, Aura, Okaba, Nina and ourselves.

"I apologize for not meeting you directly, but I was busy with personal matters. I asked Aura to hand you a treaty I've been reading about a different ruling system, what do you think?"
"Don't worry" - we reply- "It was us who showed up unnanounced, after all. As for the text, it still keeps people from choosing their own life path, so I must admit I am not a fan."

"That's not how it works for us."
"I know, but wouldn't it be better if you were free to at least try working at whatever you dream about?"
"Hm... it would lead to a lot of people struggling to achieve their dreams, just to fail. The way it is right now, everyone knows they have a secure job. It provides stability and security, you know?"

"So you suggest that people should be tested in the quality of their work for advancement within their job, rather than seniority?"

Ah, she's really in love. Just looking at him makes her happy... wait, isn't that just how Lyann looks at us? Somehow, it feels a little pressuring, having to live up to expectations like that.

I mean, Okaba is pretty much flawless from our point of view, but we have a lazy streak that sort of holds us back sometimes... alright, lots of the times...

Let's work harder from now on. Yes

After the meal, Okaba hands us a couple of linked journals, as well as the first 'fax' machine, a mix of journals and graphology machines, allowing us to exchange information quickly as well as complex, large schematics within a single moment.
