Welcome back to Double King Quest!

You play as the Double King, who wants all the crowns. ALL OF THEM. You've currently killed 3 members of royalty and stolen their crowns as well, making you the Pentuple King.

Where we last left off, Double (Pentuple) King was about to storm the giant skull castle of Count Franz, who is the king of vultures. All the citizens are currently stuffed inside this skull castle out of fear. You are currently flying in your Ovum Regia, a flying egg, above the castle.

What do you do?
>>
Rolled 18 (1d20)

>>1412575
Search the wasteland in the immediate vicinity for anything significant or out of the ordinary. Anything else we can make use of?
We ARE flying really high, so that will give us an advantage. Helps that there aren't any vulture scout/attack units nearby to bother us in the process.
>>
>>1412579
Considering you're flying way up high in a wasteland, you figure there's bound to be some useful stuff lying around here, and useful stuff there is! You somehow managed to find a functional cannon buried underneath the sand some ways from the castle. How lucky!

Unfortunately, you lack gunpowder of cannonballs of any kind, which is kind of a shame since you really want to blow some shit up.
>>
Rolled 11 (1d20)

>>1412584
Get out of O.R. Load the cannon ball into O.R and have it fly straight into the castle
>>
>>1412590
You don't have any cannonballs... unless you mean to load the cannon into the Ovum Regia. The cannon is about as tall as you, and you're pretty sure it won't fit, and even if it did, it weighs about a ton and there's no way the Ovum Regia could lift it.
>>
Rolled 2 (1d20)

>>1412584
Keep flying and see if you can spot something tht could be used as ammo.
>>
Rolled 6 (1d20)

>>1412596
Apparently I can't read

Might as well fly some more to find resources
>>
>>1412601
>>1412602
You fly around some more, but you weren't as lucky as you were before. You find nothing but rocks and sand.

You take a while to look for ammo, and the vultures are starting to get less scared of you. Now some of them are flying out and bothering you. God dammit, now you have to deal with vultures every so often.
>>
Rolled 4 (1d20)

>>1412604
Go straight for the castle and try to find a way in, just kill any vultures that bother you.
>>
>>1412608
You decided that this is enough fucking around. You need Franz's crown and you need it NOW. You just brandish your golden knives and bust the door open. As soon as you do that, a literal fuck ton of vultures storm out and carry you high into the air.

You are now fighting an army of vultures about 500 above the air.
>>
>>1412616
Fake it till we make it. Bait them to the cannon and threaten to open fire on them if their king doesn't agree to a duel
>>
Rolled 12 (1d20)

>>1412616
Grab one by the claw and stab him so he has to land somewhere because he becomes too weak to fly. Try not to hit vital organs.

You've had just about up to fucking here with these shenanigans, and you're starting to get REALLY FUCKING ANGRY. You pull out your knives and slash them about wildly. You practically blend the vultures in your carnage. As the cloud of birds starts to thin out, you hop on top of one of them and hold a knife to his throat. You gesture towards that castle and he understands. He flies down through a port in the side and enters the giant castle, which is currently inhabited by about 750 vultures, with Count Franz on top of a balcony. He commands all his vultures to swarm you, albeit a little reluctantly, since you're literally covered in vulture gore.
>>
Rolled 14 (1d20)

>>1412633
Fly our captive vulture straight at him and once we hit enough speed we launch off, the velocity and momentum carrying us straight at his throat.
>>
>>1412643
You fly your captive towards Count Franz, but a sudden wave of vultures knocks you off the captive and pins you onto the ceiling!
>>
Rolled 11 (1d20)

>>1412652
THEY DARE TRY TO STOP US!?

BECOME A STORM OF BLADES AND GET TO THE CROWN!
>>
Rolled 19 (1d20)

>>1412652
Our knives should still be in our hands - at least one of them should.
Attempt to free ourselves from this fowl menace, then try the same thing
>get one captive, launch ourselves at Count Franz with speed
But not before we point at his crown, then do a throat slitting motion at him, so he knows exactly what we're here for. Put the fear in him.
>>
>>1412659
>>1412658
Yeah, this is starting to get annoying. You brandish your knives once again and dice the ensuing army. A rain of blood and vulture bits rain down onto the floor. Once again, you grab another hostage, and this time you want to make sure Count Franz knows you're not fucking around. You point at him and do a throat slitting motion. Franz's face is drained of all color, and at high speeds he flies out of the castle through the port. He's escaping!
>>
Rolled 9 (1d20)

>>1412668
Slap the hostage like a racing horse and try to catch up. Throw one knife in an attempt to slow dawn Franz.
>>
Rolled 14 (1d20)

>>1412668
Time to shoot him down with a thrown knife
>>
Rolled 5 (1d20)

>>1412668
After him, captive, if you know what's good for you!
>>
>>1412673
>>1412675
>>1412677
Without a moment to lose, you tell your hostage to pick up the speed and chase after the Count. He's really fast! You throw a knife at him, but you weren't able to get a good aim at him and it misses. Welp, that's gone now.
>>
Rolled 11 (1d20)

>>1412678
Fuck it, we can always get our knife back later, after we TAKE THE CROWN!

A F T E R H I M !
>>
>>1412680
You manage to keep up the pace with him, but you aren't going to be able to keep up with him for long. You look around you and realize you're in some sort of mountainy jungle area. You must've been flying for a while.
>>
Rolled 5 (1d20)

>>1412688
Stop the chase and try to find a good point to observe the landscape. Maybe Franz is heading right into a dead end, or we can cut him off somehow.
>>
Rolled 16 (1d20)

>>1412688
Enough of this. Return to the O.R. and give chase that way. We can't lose our personal airship to this idiot! Besides, we need our second knife back and this stupid captive vulture might try to get uppity soon.

Do we even have spare knives back in our mobile fortress? If not, then just go for the O.R.
>>
Rolled 9 (1d20)

>>1412693
Alternative option here. If we cut him off and ambush kill him, the captive will have to obey us regardless.
So yeah, ignore >>1412694?
>>
>>1412693
>>1412694
>>1412697
There's no way you'll be able to catch up to him like this, so you decide to head back and look for your weapons. You still have your second knife, so you tell your captive to head back to the place where you dropped your last knife. After some searching, you finally find it! You tell the bird to lower you done, but in a fit of carelessness, he flies upside down and knocks you off himself! You fall into the jungle without any means of getting back. At least you have your second knife back.
>>
Rolled 16 (1d20)

>>1412706
Investigate. Dual-wielding knives will help us against potential adversaries. Like these shitty bushes and undergrowth in our way.
>inb4 some temple of a long lost kingdom and we get an old crown of ages past
>>
>>1412712
You take your knives and hack the surrounding foliage. After a while, you start to hear sounds of civilization. Trekking up a hill, you discover another kingdom hidden in between some mountains. It resembles some Chinese/Japanese mish-mash of Asian buildings, and the kingdom itself is quite huge, A huge pagoda is seen sprouting from the middle of this kingdom. This can only mean one thing:

Where there's smoke, there's fire, and where there's kingdoms, there's CROWNS.

You try your best to blend in, but your quartet of crowns on your head and that one huge crown on your back is kind of making it difficult.

>>1412755
You decide that the next best course of action is to sneak around the kingdom. It goes pretty well, considering your behavior! You notice that all the inhabitants are panda bears, much like the ones at Osro's kingdom. If the king is in fact a giant panda bear, then that probably means there's another giant crown! Putting it on might give you back problems though.

D-... Do you even have a back? You're like 90% mouth.
>>
Rolled 9 (1d20)

>>1412766
Don't question it. Just put knives away, act cool and nonchalant until we find that crown. No need to pick a fight right now in a place we don't know.

You walk up to the guards, saying something about needing to see the king. They look to each other, and you hear them mention that there is a king arriving today. Considering your king-iness and the fact that you have a fuck ton of crowns, they let you in without a second thought. They must be isolated from society if they haven't heard about you by now. All things considered, you really got lucky.

You climb up the miles of stairs and enter the chamber of the king, who you find out is named Tancho the Hefty, and see that he lives up to his name. He's about 20 feet tall and about as wide as he is tall. Surrounding him is tables upon tables of bamboo, which he is constantly stuffing down his mouth. The most important detail is his crown, which is fucking huge. It's gold with designs of bamboo on it. There's no way you'll be able to wear it, but when has that stopped you before?
>>

>>
>>1412802
You walk one over to him.

>"You must be King Salesh. It's a pleasure to meet y-"

Before he could finish his sentence, you jump right onto his belly and slash the fuck out of his face. He recoils in pain and drops his crown, which smashes right through the floor. The entire floor begins to creak, and then breaks under the pressure. The entire chamber is sent falling onto the floor below, which in turn begins to strain under the pressure. The crown sits on a pile of rubble. It's about 5 feet tall and 7 feet wide. There's no way you can wear this thing.
>>
Rolled 13 (1d20)

>>1412819
(How tall are we?!)

Make the crown stand upright like a wheel and flee using the crown like a hamsterwheel., maye squashing some guards on the way out.
>>

>>
>>1412827
>>1412829
You get inside the monumental crown and roll it onto its side. While the guards are distracted by the injured king, you roll your way down the rubble pile and out a window. You fall from 100 ft in the air and land in a lake. A successful getaway! But, just how are you going to get your crown out of the lake?
>>
Rolled 19 (1d20)

>>1412835
Find a large swimming creature and threaten it to do your bidding. Have it push your crown out of the Lake on pain of death.

When it has completed it's job kill it anyway.

>>
>>1412845
You find a large Nessie-like creature, who seems to want you out of his lake. You unsheathe your knives and hold them against his neck, saying that if he wants to live he'll have to carry his crown. Agreeing, he carries your crown all the way back to your castle. You thank him, and then properly behead him.

>YOU ARE THE SE-

Wait, you can't wear the crown... how are you supposed to become the Sextuple King if you can't even wear it?
>>
Rolled 5 (1d20)

>>1412857
We can deal with that later, anyways lets stash this in a bush and head back to that palace! Another king is supposed to be heading there and we could get two crowns out of this trip!
>>
Rolled 2 (1d20)

>>1412857

>>
Wait hold on I wasn't reading. The Nessie took us BACK all the way to our fortress base?
Then we can just go back to the O.R. near where the vulture base was, and simply fly back to the jungle city?

You try to think about a way to wear this thing, but unfortunately, logic isn't your forte. You are unable to think up this idea.

>>1412864
I'd like to remind you that your fortress is alive, and that giving him the crown would make him a king, thereby stealing your crown. You decide just to stash it away in your castle for the time being and head back to Count Franz's kingdom, this time with the walking fortress.

The kingdom is once again swarming with vultures. It appears they're partying, as you can see Franz bragging that he outflew you. God, what an asshole! You need to get back at him!

>>1413119
Keep the knife! Try to make a heroic jump and wrestle the crown from his head.
>>
>>1413122
>>1413138
You launch a knife at him, and it severs one of his wings! The severed part flies in an arc as Count Franz plummets to the ground. It ends with a dull thud as blood splatters everywhere. All the vultures stop flying and stare at their dead king. You fly down and grab his crown. It's basically bones held together by string, all gilded and/or painted gold. Nonetheless, you take it and put it on your head.

>YOU ARE THE SEXTU-

And the crowns fall off. You guess they're getting too tall for your head. You just place the new crown onto your back.

>NEW TITLE ACHIEVED
>YOU ARE THE SEXTUPLE KING

And that's going to be it for today, and I forgot to put on my trip, SHIT. Anyway, there might be another thread tomorrow same time. See you then!

And welcome back to Double King Quest! Where we last off, we tried to kill Count Franz, but he managed to escape us and we landed in this panda kingdom. Needless to say, we killed its king and brought his crown back. We went after the Count again, killed him, and become the SEXTUPLE KING.

>Another day passes

1. To the north is Blubantia the Icy. A walrus whose kingdom lies in an icy tundra, and his kingdom is said to the coldest around. His crown resembles that of walrus tusks.

2. To the east is the Olaf, the Tidepool King. It's not really a king, just a location. It harbors all sorts of royal sea life at high tide. It'll be really hard to find and the crowns are going to be a little small.

3. To the south is Queen Hestia of the Hill. We kinda forgot about her but whatever. She's grown a lot powerful now that her rival has been killed by you, and she's began to expand her territory. Her crown is golden with gems of emerald.

4. To the west is Holy Gargantus the Eldest. A gigantic turtle whose age is unknown to everyone. He'll be extremely hard to take down even with your fortress. His crown is giant and you won't be able to wear it. It'll make a good crown for your castle, however.
>>
>>1432607
I say we hit the tides. Not gonna pass up a chance for multiple crowns
>>
Rolled 1 (1d4)

>>1432607
So our options are:
>Walrus King, lots of ice and cold
>Tidepool King, small collective crowns, might be a treasure hunt too
>Ant Queen, LOTS of drones
>Great Turtle King, crown is for our fort and not us though
After a desert and jungle last time, I think an ice level might be good.

Also reminder outside of the big dual knives, the fort, and the O.R., we have a much sharper golden knife and a scepter from the fish king in the animation. Not sure what the scepter can be good for, but we have it anyway.
>>
>>1432623
Can't argue with that roll.

After some thinking, you decide that for whatever reason, Blubantia is the next to go on your shit list. That jerk, thinking he's all safe from danger because he lives in the arctic. You'll show him. Show him your KNIVES and steal his CROWN. You hop aboard your walking fortress and make your trek northwards. As you make your way through the plains and steppes of the land, you notice that it's starting to get increasingly cold. The further north you go, the heavier it begins to snow. Soon all you see is white and all you hear is ferocious howling. Eventually, the fortress comes to a halt. It's freezing up, the giant bug can't take the cold anymore! What do you do?
>>
Rolled 16 (1d20)

>>1432648
Surely we have ways to keep the giant bug warm?
Blankets? Sweaters? Heaters? Anything at all?
We might wanna have the bug go back inside the fort to keep warm for now, and explore with the O.R. If something bad happens to the bug, we're sitting ducks and we lose the fort.

>inb4 O.R. freezes midflight

>>
>>1432652
You tell your bug and lion-things to go inside the fort to keep warm. If they can get warm enough to get going, then they should get going. For now, you'll take the O.R. and fly to the kingdom. Fortunately, the shell that envelops the bird that flys the O.R. is enough to keep it warm, which is great. You fly around for a while, but... it slowly dawns on you that everything looks the same.

You have no idea where you are.

>>1432690
Well, wherever you are, it would probably be better to get out of this blizzard before you freeze to death. You order your O.R. to fly up above the snow and above the clouds. It takes some effort, but it manages to get out of the storm below. The good news is that the unobscured sun is able to warm you both up. The bad news is that everything still looks the same. You probably got yourself even more lost now, but at least you won't die from the cold.

A-Ha! A rock just peaking out from above the clouds for you to rest on! About time too, your O.R. looks like it's about to faint from exhaustion. You rest yourselves on the rock and you think up a plan on how to get back, but your concentration is disturbed by this weird, demonic, grunting. Looking around, you see a weird cloud thing that HOLY SHIT IT HAS A CROWN.

>>1432745
Is it causing the snowstorm, or is it just floating around in it as a separate entity?
Either way, we can't possibly chase it down in our state. If we could tag it with an O.R. tracking missile, we could save it as a later target maybe?
Right now our priority should be getting back to the fort and getting the bears to help us out. The snowstorm is annoying.

Calling it now, I'm gonna be punished by the dice gods with a single digit roll.

Hmm. May be a tough opponent. It's a cloud and thus we probably wouldn't be able to just gank it and loot it. For the time being let's just wait and see what it does. Find out its behaviors

Considering the state of you and the O.R. right now, you consider it best that you should just fire a tracking missile for now. You aim and fire. Yes, a direct hit! But.. the crown manages to land on the missile. The missile now become Missaluis the Missle King! It's flying around like a prick now.

Enough of this. You pick up a rock and throw it at Missaluis. Not only do you miss, you lose your footing and tumble down the rock, which was, in fact, the summit of a mountain. You hit your head on a rock and get knocked unconscious. Some time passes by, and you wake up, shivering due to the cold. You place your hand on top of your head, but a horrible realization occours to you:

you lost your crowns.

Autistically screech into the sky in despair, and climb the mountain with your gloved hands. Keep your eyes out for any crowns that might be still up there on the way.

You are filled with so much rage that you let out a tremendous and autistic screech into the air.

Some miles away, Blubantia is wondering what the hell that noise was. Certainly not that Regicide King. He can't be crazy enough to go after you. That'd just be stupid/

You begin to scale the mountain with gloved hands. The rocks are sharp and cold, and they begin to tear apart your gloves. Your hands start to bleed but you don't give a shit about that. You just WANT YOUR FUCKING CROWNS BACK.

We can always get healed later! Plus the cold will just slow our blood flow so our injuries don't get worse.
Come ON, those crowns have to be around here somewhere!

Unleash another autistic screech and scramble around looking for the crowns. The heat from our movement should keep us warm
>>
>>1432947
As you're climbing up the mountain, the blood pooling out of your hand accidently freezes on one of the rocks. You keep pulling but it won't come lose. Maybe using the heat from your mouth will get it unstuck? No, that just got your tongue stuck. You're stuck there for hours as the cold penetrates your skin. You feel your vision fading.

You release one final screech. A screech to deafen all other screeches. Agatha wonders what that faint squeaking was. Your visions fades. You feel nothing.

>Crowns obtained: 7
>Total Death Count: 2,352
>Royalty Death Count: 9

It was a good run. Maybe I'll do another DK quest in the future. But I've been planning to do a JJBA quest as well. Thoughts?

Even if you did, your hands were stuck to the rocks.
