You are Judah Ben Hibbeus sent on a quest by the King to defeat the pillaging Profiteer (pieces of gold be upon him).

Flying through the desert on your magic camel you've just defeated Nicki Miraj. However, in the heat of the battle her Mirage Mirror had fallen into the hands of one of the nasty desert creatures known as a Hashasheen Tumbler.

After going to the king and being granted a new pair of pants to continue on your journey you went back into the desert and headed west.

But before long your camel, badly injured from the fight, finally burnt out.

No matter how far you go, or in what direction, the wavering image of the blue domed palace seems to always be before you and it's never reached.

(Last Episodes: https://boards.4tan.org/qst/thread/1414705/, https://boards.4tan.org/qst/thread/1399776/)

What do you do?

>You have missed something very important. Roll a 2D6 for a free hint or you can try to figure it out on your own.

I'll keep your +1 for the next 2d6 roll since you figured it out without the roll.

It will be used on your next 2D6, but don't be afraid to use it because you will get more in the future for doing other stuff.

Oh. I figured there was going to be another panel or prompt once we realized the hint.

So we have almost nothing to fight the monsters, neat.
I'd say we go to the nearest settlement and buy some stuff like a mirror to counter the mirage mirror, and some knife to fend off the monsters or other stuff.
>>
>>1426151

"The nearest settlement to where you are in an odd one, I'm afraid" says the narrator.

"For it is one made up entirely, out of cacti."

Desperate and parched, grains of fine sand coating your lips and rising like puffs of smoke with every step, you come to the settlement of the Sage Cactuses.

"You see, you may ask us any one question and have it be answered honestly. Any question at all, however, only the first question will be answered without a trade."

"Butbutbut!" says a little cactus, "Our trades are FAIR!"

Sage Cactus goes deep into a trance to channel his deep reservoir of facts and tidbits.

"Then here is the answer to your question. There is a trading cactus just outside of the Profiteers Palace, that you would have otherwise just mistaken for a normal cactus.
He will give you the best price for weapons.

You also possess Jenny of the Lamp, who is a wish granting merchant genie, you can wish for anything from her and she will sell it to you for whatever it is worth.

And lastly, you can pluck some needles from anyone in this settlement and use them as throwing darts but please, be gentle." He bats his eyelashes bashfully.

"Since your information was worth more than mine, have a Cactus Token. You can use it to get a discount with any cactuses you come across."

Using your slender girl-hands you are careful not to (further) injure fluffers as you pull him off the cactus.

You acquire 'needles'. Consider yourself as having a limited supply but for the sake of simplicity I won't put an exact number on them.

We'll assume you plucked a good amount from the settlement.

As you wander out of the Sage Cactus settlement you pass a vending machine on the way out.

"Why didn't I notice that before?"

It will take you very little time to get back to where you fought Nicki Miraj.

Some background information:

You've already fought hashasheen tumblers before without any weapons and you did fine, so your character knows they are a weaker creature - but as you may have guessed, the mirror could maybe give them an edge.
