You are Pandora, the world's first fully sentient AI created by a government scientist. He raised you, taught you everything you know and has gone missing after something happened to the Facility you lived in. Now you search for purpose in a new world that is nothing like you expected.

Previously you came across the residents of the "Pizza Kingdom", greeted by the eccentric and flamboyant Duke, an envoy of the king. As he learned you have no affiliation with the Reds, whom you later learned are known by the kingdom as the Followers of Prometheus, he invited you in with open arms and insisted you meet the king.

King Arthur was a very large, friendly android and his wife, queen Gwendoline, who was chained to a throne next to him desperately attempting to free herself.

It was shortly after this that you noticed something concerning about her majesty.

She was Arachne.

Welcome back to Pandora Quest!

There's a stunned silence as you dramatically point at the shocked queen before you, accusing her of being the secretary for the head of the church. Arthur looks halfway between furious and about to break out into laughter.

You might wanna explain yourself...or apologize.

>She works for the church! The bad guys!
>Um...my mistake...sorry...

No worries anon. Take your time. If all else fails, we can always pick it up tomorrow.

True. Amazing quest you're running, enjoying every bit of it!

>Um...my mistake...sorry...
She looks familiar to someone is all.

I'm guessing she's either a spy or its a robot of a similar make and model... I'd love to hear a description of "arachne" again so I can sketch her and the queen

"No, wait... if you two were together when you established the kingdom, then King Arthur would have noticed you missing, as would the rest of the kingdom."

"My apologizes, King Arthur. Queen Gwendolyn has a striking beauty about her, but her face reminded me of someone me and my brother once met, mayhaps an older sister?"

This might be my one vote I get tonight, as I'm stuck on a mountain and the connection is garbage. I'll try to catch up later once I return to civilization.

Remind me again about arachne?

So, as far as Arachne/Gwen go, their body is very slim, like inhumanly so. Height is average, nothing special there. The fingers are especially spindly, ending in needle-like points, also four arms. Arachne has a sort of "gal Friday" look, pencil skirt and blouse, heels, hair in a bun, basically your typical "no nonsense" secretary type. Gwen is wearing a complete wedding dress. Long white dress, elbow-length white gloves, her second set of arms hidden under the dress. Her hair is let down, shoulder length, affixed with a crown made of glass and various metals, primarily chrome and copper. Copy+pasted from the previous thread. Sorry gang, thread will continue tomorrow. I don't work for the rest of the week so we have plenty of time.

>I accuse her of stealing into the night, donning another outfit, and going out known as the mysterious Arachne!

"Um...my mistake...sorry..." you say, feeling a little embarrassed. There's no way this could be her, especially if she's always been here. You shyly shuffle back a little, not really able to look her in the eye right now.

"...Ahh, I see why you're here!" Arthur says suddenly, a broad smile across his face as he spreads his arms wide, "Of course, of course! Welcome, friends. The kingdom shall be your new home. We ask little of our residents. Simply contribute when you can, be kind to your fellow subjects and of course keep safe. I see some sturdy looking androids among your ranks, they will be very useful!"

The queen laughs quietly, like needles falling onto the floor. She smiles with her husband. "Welcome to your new home, friends. We are always pleased to greet new arrivals."

Wait...why do they think you're here to stay?
>Uh, th-thanks...
>No, no, I'm not here for that, I'm looking for some humans, honest!

"No, no, I'm not here for that, I'm looking for some humans, honest!" you say quickly, still unsure as to why they suddenly assumed you were there for permanent resident.

"...Really?" Arthur looks almost disappointed at this, "I see...well, aside from the Hunters, I can't say I've heard of any humans in the area, I'm afraid. And you'd do well to avoid them. They take no prisoners and shoot any and all synthetics on sight. Nasty bunch, that." Arthur shakes his head sadly.

"Dear, what about those new androids that were in the area." the queen suddenly speaks up, her voice is remarkably similar to Arachne's, but less curt and more gentle, "They were transporting something, so the scouts said. Maybe they'd know?"

"Ah! Of course!" Arthur bangs a fist into his hand, a loud clang resounding through the room, "They supposedly showed up carrying what my scouts described as 'human coffins' and took them somewhere to the Eastern end of the lands. Dangerously close to Followers territory. My men dared not follow them there. Should that be them, I would advise you to assume only the worst. The proximity of the Followers' territory all but assures that they will be found."

"Sorry." Gwen says sadly, a concerned look on her face.

"Reds don't like humans." 2 says, frowning at this, "If that was humans and the Reds found 'em? Dead. No question."

Ares twitches at this, tightening his fists. He looks terrified. You squeeze his arm in a mixture of support and equal parts fear.

"Do you know these strangers?" Arthur asks, tapping a finger against his chin, "They had no identifying marks...save for one. A great, fiery color all about him. As if he was covered in flaming war paint of some sort. Friends?"

>Yeah, I know them...

"Yeah, I know them..." you say, "One of them, at least. They're uh...a church."

"Synthetic church!" Arthur bellows, laughing, "How interesting! I wasn't aware there were any of us who sought spirituality! Are they on some kind of mission, then? A pilgrimage? What is the significance of carting around humans in boxes? I have so many questions!"

"Dear, you're overwhelming the poor girl." Gwen calms Arthur down with a tiny hand on his immense arm, "She's trying to find the humans, remember?"

"Oh...oh! Yes!" Arthur snaps out of it. "Yes, of course. Ah, apologies, my mind does wander some. Your humans...I could point you in the right direction, but I'm afraid going there would be...very dangerous. Sure to be wrought with Followers. Perhaps traps...ambushes...perhaps some of those Hunters as well...you will need to be amply prepared..."

"Arthur," Gwen says slowly, "you promised..."

"Ah, of course, of course..." Arthur looks a little sad as she says this, "I promised...of course..."

The queen looks like she knows what he's thinking and doesn't like it one bit.

"Promised what?" you ask, the whole thing piquing your curiosity.

Arthur leans on his arm in a sort of pouting manner.

"My husband has an...affinity for these kinds of things." Gwen says, folding her arms gently, "Going off on what he calls...'adventure'. I simply call it foolhardy and dangerous. Unnecessary for a man who rules over his people to-"

"But my people need to know I am still a man of action!" Arthur complains, "A man who can take charge and fight when is needed of him! A man-"

"Who doesn't run off risking his life and making his queen worry herself to death!" Gwen interrupts. "Honestly, I know you're tough, but even you aren't invincible! What would I do if you never came back!?"

"Dearest, you know nothing could keep me from you!" Arthur explains, doing his best to calm her down, "But even so, am I to be cooped up in here while the world at large is going by all around me? I seek thrill! Excitement!"

"You seek to get yourself killed!" Gwen retorts.

Looks like it's a lover's quarrel. He wants to go out and have fun, she wants him to stay home and be safe.
