to start, this is from the villains perspective. welcome to the prelude to what I'm running in the winter, I hope you all enjoy.

It has been several years since you've risen as a tycoon here in wretched Florida. how long have you had to endure the abhorrent populous? will it matter soon? If all in this next week goes well, you won't have to be here any longer than few simple business transactions. It brings a smile to your face knowing you'll be free from half the plebeians that make up the bulk of the city your gorgeous office tower makes up. It'll be a shame when you liquidate the assets inside, but well worth it. Who needs an vulnerable office when you'll be running some of the most complicated medical laboratories on the planet? After a quick check of the time and an adjustment of your suit, you begin to get up to leave before your secretary pokes her head through your door.

Mi-mister Rienholt, just reminding you of your appointment at two o'clock, for the buyout of CellMed Labs.

It's impossible not to smile, it's so cute when they try and remind you of things your already know. You've been preparing to buy out this Gentek subsidiary for months, even spreading a nasty rumor of bioweapon development to lower their prices. (although with that new York incident months back it wouldn't be surprising. considering your own plans.)

>bring the secretary along.
>head to the meeting immediately.
>do some "micromanagement" first.
>>
some ground rules. i'll be using d20's. if you want to pick up a Waifu please don't derail the thread in the pursuit, do so or act too cringy and i'll separate the character from it and have it killed horrifically. I've seen what you Anons sometimes do and i'd like to avoid those lolrandumb moments. also there wont be a morality or sanity meter on this round, your the villain.
>>
*patient humming.*
>>
Head to the meeting.
Fyi qst can be a pretty dead board don't expect too much activity till you get a following
>>
Rolled 3 (1d20)

You make your way down to the limo, your Assets know damn well what they're doing and will be effective unless they want to meet the cleaners.

All those months have lead you to this simple little office out on the coast. quant, but it should be enough, you can't exactly talk business where some random employee can eavesdrop. you take a seat across from one rather well dressed man flanked by two guards. with a snap of your fingers your personal butler who've you've worked with for over two decades comes in and brings a pair of glasses and fine imported wine.
>>
"Save the pleasantries, Rienholt" the man sneers. oh joy, it appears, you won't be having an easy time with this one.

"why I insist."

"no, but like certain types of gossip, alcohol is poison."

Grand, they know your behind the stories of their involvement in bioweapons, and don't seem very happy you'll be taking it off their hands either.

"so do we have a deal?"

Alexander raises a hand to his ear. "proceed with the transaction."

everything seems to go well, a stack of papers exchange hands and signatures are passed between the two of you, everything is about wrapped up when alexander jolts back and returns his hand to his ear.

"Quiet!"

well this was unexpected, alexander gets up and barks an order to his men.

"detain him."

your butler responds pre-emptively, tossing a dart into the neck of one of the gaurds and wrestling him to the ground. you draw your own tranq pistol to deal with the second.

"the fleshlight files"

"are you saying that my IT expert just nearly fucked everything up because he wanted to look at a file about sextoys?"

"the files on pen station, blackwatch the entire mess in New York that killed hundreds of thousands."

"and they named it. oh god damnit."

"we need those files Shin. you better have a solution."

"the paper files are still locked away, we can get your saboteur in there, but if she's caught we're done for and all the effort was for nothing."

you pull the key cards off of the soldier who you shot first. and walk over to the lock mechanism. . . and it's a retinal scanner. maybe it will work with one eye? you begin to drag over the corpse that you didn't completely destroy the eyes of and slap him onto the consol. to your surprise the safe opens.
>>
Rolled 20 (1d20)

you are quite surprised when the safe hisses open.

It seems fleshlight wasn't just a bunch of files. but rather the whole room is a collection of salvaged materials from NYZ. infected civilians are kept in a suspended state, a severed arm rest inside a glass container, and there's even several vials kept behind bullet proof glassing and thick metal bars. safety deposit boxes line a single wall, files are kept in a clear alphabetical order, until you go past Z and 0, where your greeted with odd symbols rather than anything else identifiable.

"really now? turn on your camera and have Francis patch me through. I want to see this for myself."

"yes sir"
>>
the camera turn on and a moment later your holding it out for Rienholt to see. he sounds amazed at all the curiosities that fill the safe. an exclamation of "my god" when he see's the clawed, inhuman arm in the case and a brief fit of laughter when he see's the vials. DX-1121, DX-1134, DX-1135, and the one with additional secrutiy marked DX-1200/PRIH.

"my god Alexis, this is what I've been waiting for!"

"er, really?"

"yes! get the fleshlight files, if you can't get the vials that is fine, but try! oh, gods damned, I have to go. hurry!"

well now I just have to download that body parts gun image I saw on /k/ a few nights ago just to post it here.

as the good master requested you shall obey. you begin by going over to the file boxes and picking the locks, you gather up all the files in the F section which actually comprised most of the wall, discarding anything irrelevant like field reports. in the end you have one bag full and another half way with some room to put the vials in.

well now, what to do about all this security glass and the bars. below them is a console, as well as a port that you can plug your phone into, if you had the right funny looking cable, one of the dead guards might have one. theres also the option of brute forcing it, but there isn't a way of telling how to get in there, maybe your wrist are skinny enough?

it was easier getting this than it was the others, just had to pick two locks at once, and using your teeth was the real trick. once that was done a trick with a pocket mirror got you in.

you grab the vial, eww, why the hell does that rich bastard want this? you put the squirming thing into the bag with the others, glad that Gentek makes such weird high tech containers for squirming eldritch abominations.

as you head outside of the safe you radio in. "ok, mission accomplished, I have the files and the vials, can I please get the hell out of here?"

"yes, just a moment the mercenaries our employer contracted should be attacking the south side of the building right about."

that's when you hear the shout of "Allahu Ackbar" and an explosion. great, his escape plan was a fake terrorist attack.

caught that didn't ya?

December 5, 2015.
Rienholts office.

it has been years, years of examining and dissecting the vile things in the vials that Alexis has brought you. amazing work she did, it was only fitting to give her a position as your "personal assistant." it almost did make you reconsider when she insisted keeping that spineless worm Francis alive. no mater now, year later and you finally have some idea what those vials contained. while the nightmare of NYZ went on, these viral cultures were doing very interesting things. one had evolved to become a type of armored mold. you've never seen anything like it. of course the laboratory was a little dismayed to have burnt so many samples, and do away with others, but why worry when more can be made. others spread like the plague, becoming those giant wall coverings of meat that had occupied so much of the red zone, interestingly, a few of these were building up spores. the Gentek scientist who wrote the reports you received were particularly worried about the spores that were developing in these sacks. a giant pustule erupting and spreading a virus so deadly to so many people in almost an instant, it would have been unthinkable. and finally the mutagen in vial 1121. oh how remarkable, to make a near cripple into an athlete, you would have injected yourself if you didn't see even greater potential with one asset you haven't found, DX-1118 F strain. you really want to know how this mutated out of the "evolved."
>>
You've had Shin looking out for where this particular strain would be kept. and many years later to your surprise, it's coming to you.

in 2014 Gentek and significant portion of blackwatch dissolved and their assets were sold, if not destroyed. some of their viral assets for instance are being moved to storage facilities. interestingly that same facility you had raided is being closed down and a new vault underneath the very city of Lauderdale is going to be housing a large number of these. you must remember to reward Shin for this later.

for now you have an empire to run. as much fun as it was pumping out pills and making a fortune over the last couple years, it looks like this Trump fellow is going to bring an end to that. a pity but now would be the time to use your fortune to get into the private arms business, someone has to replace the crumbling blackwatch after all.

>start focusing on making your super soldiers.
>that Armor Mold strain, it would be amazing to make some tanks out of it, perhaps you should look into that.

you begin revising employee contracts, and start looking for new hires, how fortunate that blackwatch has begun to crumble, you would have to be some kind of crazed sociopath to want to be injected with this stuff. it amazes you that so many lunatics were recruited into that organization, but then again, a useful lunatic is still useful at the end of the day.

a week passes, and boy are the results coming in, so many new recruits and you only have the first four strains from the base culture developed. after so many years and now you get to finally put your efforts into motion. it just tickles you on the inside, although that's what the first subject said it felt like his injection was doing to him.

the DX-34 strain modified soldier seems to be about as big as the average Spartan mk2 soldier, unlike the mk2 soldiers, this man seems to have developed a kind of armored plating under his skin. after an incident involving a stolen rifle and an executed scientist confirms it's indeed bullet proof, you begin running him through a battery of test for his endurance, and while he is capable of amazing feats of strength in short burst, he seems to grow weary after a while.

the last test however was the most concerning. modified with the DX-1200/PRIH strain, the subject died almost instantly from injection, after a day of isolation of slowly mutating into an unrecognizable form of hardened calcified flesh, twisted bones, and rapidly contracting exposed muscle, the subject broke out of containment and began eating one of your scientist. it took the loss of both former successful experiments and about ten of your newly ripped off blackwatch employees to put down the monstrosity. they have recommended you not have any experiments done with the DX-1200 anymore.

chiton growth rate, slow.
cultivation ability, decent.
chiton quality, high.

it seems to you this meat to metal moss doesn't grow to quickly but it can grow in numbers. which does make up for it slightly.

armoring a building seems to be out of the question, the chiton doesn't grow fast enough but, it does grow enough that in a month it could theoretically armor a tank, for now, it's made a new prototype ballistics vest.

We must be the only one permitted to sell this, However make sure we set up shell companies so any Monopoly laws can't effort us if we operate inside first world nations.

you begin gathering up some people around the country and have them start up their businesses. once you establish a "supply side contract" to ensure nothing (((illegal))) is going on you start seeing profits come in as law enforcement, the paranoid, and several other's start putting your product into circulation.

interestingly there hasn't been much said about your monopoly on the chiton, even the fed seems convinced its just really well made metal.

[x] Inform the scientists that what they are doing is a transhumanist effort, not one of quiet worship. If they want to worship the object of their research, that's fine, as long as they don't let it get in the way of their "holy" purpose. Make sure the quotations are holy are there on the memo.
>>
>>1447581
Good idea
>>
Ok, finally good to run, booting up PC and writing.
>>
you don't really care one way or another what your scientist do or start in their free hours, as long as they are serving their purpose during their work hours. you do however take note to use their inclination towards worship to your advantage when possible.

ah the results of their work. so far they haven't done much except some comparisons to the human genome, you don't really know what to make of it, you do take away that this material tends to rewrite itself and whatever is put in front of it, for instance when putting some human tissue in front of it a sample turned it into bone like spikes the first time, and in a follow up test made it a hard calcium like material.

getting back to your need to acquire the DX-1118 samples, Shin and Francis have competing idea's. Shin believes that amid rising fears of the terrorist group known as isis crossing into the country from the border, it would be possible to stage a terrorist attack on the convoy delivering the samples to the Fort Lauderdale vault. Francis on the other hand claims this is too risky and can destroy the samples in the attempt to get them. Francis claims the best way to get it is with a hacking program he recently found the keys to on the dark web, in short, he can hijack the vehicle and drive it somewhere so it can be robbed. Alexis really doesn't have much of an opinion, she does however note how badly Francis screwed up the first time, and then teases Shin for being "a snitch."

>Shin's plan, False flag and steal it.
>Francis's plan, use his "missing CIA software" to jack the vehicle.
>>
>>1448486

>Francis's plan, use his "missing CIA software" to jack the vehicle.

Tell both of them to shut up, they gotta learn to work with one another or else paycheck may contain Ricin
>>

>highjack it
>>
Rolled 5 (1d20)

you take a deep breath, and tell them to knock it off before you ask one of them to lay down on a table in the research labs. then you question Francis a bit.

"are you sure you can turn the convoy vehicle into an RC car?"

"hey if the CIA can do it." you wonder why he keeps bringing up the CIA, they haven't been useful in years.

Shin cuts in. "And if the truck is old enough that it doesn't make use of any kind of internal computer, how do you think your going to get the serum then."

"it'll work I doubt that the Org they are sending to move the samples are going to be able to stop their own vehicle, or use such outdated equipment that it wouldn't even have a basic computer with steering and throttle adjust."

"Francis were going with your plan."

they all seem a little surprised as you begin to contact your mercenaries and start making the necessary arrangements, that being a garage to pull the vehicle into.

You have one problem right now, eyes on the convoy confirm they have tanks with MG's driving on both sides front and back of the transport vehicle.

From a rooftop, Alexis has a complicated looking transmission device. it's very expensive equipment, but will be well worth it if it can do it's job.

Shin on the ground radios in, the mercenaries in the kill bay are ready once the vehicle rolls in.

Francis says he has the program ready to transmit, he just needs Alexis to aim him at the transport.

it's an amazing display of competence you have to credit them all on that.

your about to have him killed when something unexpected occurs. gun and rocket fire, you didn't order your mercs out here.

"Shin, why are my mercenaries out here firing upon the tanks?"

". . sir, all of your mercenary soldiers are still here with me in the garage."

"come again?"

"they're with me in the garage."

you can't train a blacklight creature. even heller had to resort to killing the alpha of a group of Juggernauts and that was temporary control.

September 2016.

it's time for your injection, this first of many, but what may be by far the greatest, today you'll cast off that mortal coil, today you'll become a god! as was Zeus, as was Ares! its almost here.

just five more minutes, the anticipation eats at you, Alexis in her wheel chair can't wait to see, she has the next scheduled injection. the very though of become evolved has made Shin elicit a genuine emotion, even if it was for a minute.

"the table has been prepped sir, please come on in."

you make your way to the table, the toothed grin on your face shows your need to start this. the scientist ask you to take your place, and allow the restraints to auto lock. you comply.

the anticipation damn near kills you as the machine with the syringe begins to fill up with the black and redish liquid. "remember to keep calm" they tell you. calm! your on the edge of divinity, calm would be insane!

you take a deep breath, and give a slight laugh (read cackle) as the machine moves it's needle to your arm.
>>
the pain, the pleasure, its just too much. it feels like your in torment in heaven, on ecstasy in hell! every nerve in your body is firing as it's destroyed and rebuilt. you look down to your arm, and the flesh seems to twist and meld with your blood rapidly, your entire arm seems to become a swimming mass of black and red tendrils and a sick cracking and reshaping of bone, and not even half a second later it looks how it once was. the sensation spreads, as you see your chest rise and fall, in strands of biomass. your senses go in and out, you cant see and then you can, you fail to hear the cries of "my god" and "holy shit" only to hear a high pitched wail of "is that normal?" you tries to cry out in the confusion of sensation but nothing is heard, the next moment your shout causes ears to be covered. this is all far to grand! its all too horrible! you can't stand the sheer overload of raw sensation! it's. . . too. . . . . . . much.

Shin goes up, and takes his injection with the most insane appearance of calm you've ever seen even Alexis screamed in agony, this chink son of a bitch just clenched his teeth and went with it. and finally there's Francis. cowardly, Francis. he really protested until the others talked him into it, and even you had to take a moment to get up and stretch your limbs, as well as the back of your hand upon the face of a doctor who insisted you rest. Rest is for the dead, you've been reborn. a simple palm on the boys shoulder and an utterance of "get on the table, trust me" is all it took to get that wet blanket into the operation room.

not all of the QM rolls are going to be open or obvious, several events are still being determined in this quest, your actions have shaped them considerably. for instance I was expecting an RPG to hit and a new redzone to just develop then and there during the heist. nope, dice said no.

you stretch and are about to crack your back when your remember you can adjust that with a thought. you head out to the living room and find your three agents and butler gathered spaced out on your sofa's with a jar filled with money in the middle.

"the fuck is all this?"

"a betting pool on the election, master rienholt."

"I can hardly call it a betting pool, Francis is throwing his money away." Alexis chirps in.

"wait for it." quips Francis.

you sigh. "does anyone know a damn thing about that group that attacked the convoy yet?"

"no, and sorry Francis but this was a stupid bet on your part." Shin replies.

annoyed you shut off the TV and reassert the question. "we need to know who is that was, because now we have a target on our backs, we may be near gods now but our assets aren't something we can keep protected if the feds find out we were involved, so I ask again. why don't we know anything."

once the initial groaning subsides Shin takes a moment to explain just why he can't find anything. "they had no logo, no symbol, and no recognized uniforms. even after consulting a DNA database for the blood spilled we had nothing. whoever these men were, they simply didn't exist."

Francis chimes in "I haven't found anything with facial recognition software, that shit is supposed to be near flawless. we can find men in mask and where they live with ease, but as shin said, these fucks just don't exist."

"its ISIS." Alexis states flatly.

its never ISIS.

You leave the living room after turning the TV back on.

"and Florida is called for Donald Trump."

Shin: "what how?"

Francis snickers as Alexis grabs him by the collar of his shirt and shakes him ferociously.

"YOU SON OF A BITCH! WHAT DO YOU KNOW, LITTLE ASSWIPE!"

"how people think." he says with a smile as he grabs his glass.

you close the door behind you as you hear the sound of the money jar shattering and very severe beating. now you have the quiet to think, it can't be Heller, he's one man and has been avoiding blackwatch and anything related like the plague. has yet to appear in the news for the last two years except in speculation pieces. who?

You order the interior design team to do something special and make the interior appear as a mix of Victorian and Gothic Era Architecture and decoration, with a sprinkling of Greek and Roman Accentuation. The results are glorious, and manage to make the outside of the building look like trash by comparison, draping some banners out of the flagpoles seems to help fix this quite nicely and looks quite aesthetic in a very authoritarian way. This pleases the senses. the guest list is long and your PR department did a good job filtering out some "undesirables" from the suggested list. you were curious they removed several pop stars from the guest list, and were a little more shocked to hear their explanation. "post election self destruction syndrome" was a very odd term to hear but your glad someone pointed this out. their evidence of tweets was cringworthy even by your standards, and you've recently taken up eating the homeless.

by the time the party starts you already have a line of people around the block, security prevents most people from entering. The Limousine of one Senator Bill Nelson arrives, as well as those of a well known philanthropist and the Chairman of a (not so) rival arms and security company.

let the festivities go on and your agents mingle amongst the crowds for fifteen minutes or so, then you head out in your finest suit, quite frankly the only way you could look oven more "lit" is if you were wearing an old waffen SS uniform.

you decide to put last nights reading on the issues surrounding Fort Lauderdale to good use, along with using the perspectives of the bums you've consumed to get a rough feel of what it was like in the middle class before their lives went to shit in the 1990's and 2000's. from there its a little guess work on perspective but knowing the issues helps immensely to grant the illusion of a charismatic and knowledgeable figure.

you manage to get into a few conversations, some people are rather impressed that you know so much about life for the average Floridian. others are more impressed that the story of the man with the puppy cannon wasn't beneath your notice. In the end you've made a bit of a friendly relationship with a few of the local officers, a restaurant owner, and a gas station manager who is so grateful your ballistic vest saved the life of his attendant. its nice having the theoretical backing of the people, although not much benefit from it now, you could see a use for this in the future.

now onto the Senator, you know Nelson is a "Moderate Democrat" and is a former NASA Payload specialist. there isn't exactly an abundance of astronomers in the gutter to eat so you don't have much in that department. he seems rather relaxed and more focused on having a good time than anything else, maybe a discussion on your hobbies?

come morning and one long period of handling the cleanup and you feel very relaxed. it's been too long since you've gotten to unwind and act like a normal human being. that said most of your staff had been needing a break, even your agents need some way to enjoy themselves.

unfortunately somethings not quite right. a number of your scientist who were at the party have gone missing, as in they vanished and left no traces of where they had been, you spend a day questioning the three and combing over your own memories but you just have no recollection of eating them. did they just leave and skip town? you do find some of their research either trashed or burned, but most of the major reports are still there. one of them comes in late for work and seems quite ragged and mentions something about a road trip.

you allow the strange new evolved to swing heavy handedly at your shield as if wielding an axe, being sure to let it only roll along the edge of the chiton plating. as his third swing is deflected, you raise your sword arm over the shield and thrust into the arm of the Scientist. as he stands still you slam him with your tower shield and slam him again into a wall. certainly someone must have heard that with the large crack it left.

quickly the evolved begins to get back up. attempting to jump over you to swipe at your back.

alright, five hours but who's counting.

you begin looking through the lab before canceling the lockdown, then call for your agents.

>>
you find that your security team had it's camera's disabled in the laboratory during the night of the party, however some logs from before then show a very curious event. they turn on the recording, several of the scientist are shown gathered around a petri dish. Far more than you would consider normal for a simple observation. they appear to be talking to each other, no actually they're talking to the petri dish.

Alexis comes back holding a stack of papers and an SD card. "Shin said it's important" she said. recent request from the scientist in your off the records department, missing samples of DX-1118. even a slew of employees calling in sickdays around May. . may, that was when.

you made your way back up to the office and put the SD card into your computer. your not sure what files your opening but afterwards you recognize what your looking at. it's the same program that was on one of the monitors when Francis was receiving his injection. the injection site seems to be the face, oddly the sensors only show a change to that region, and the Cardiovascular system.

you need to respond to this somehow.

you fail to get the new security protocols to work, a couple scientist decide to retire, of course, retirement doesn't mean they get to go free. "accidents" are arranged and consumptions happen, you learn enough to know just how blacklight lets your cells change their very shape, not so much how you condense so much biomass into the size of a human. Francis and Alexis urge you to simply adopt the measures that blackwatch came up with towards the end of the NYZ incident.

>just keep these measures you made. (most effective, but will prevent your scientist from being able to even work more than once in a while. effectively stalling RND.)

you decide to take the suggestion of your compatriots and instate some modified blackwatch security measures. notifications of the new changes to security are passed out and some of your more passive security quits. how fortunate they don't know a damn thing, lets you hire people who are actually more serious about their work and don't have a problem with detaining random people.

productivity seems normal in the weeks leading up to the move to 'new' facility. An Armored transport is secured and a number of armed and armored "security guards" are set to move with it. You even ordered Alexis to go with them, figuring one Evolved should be enough. now you bide your time.
