New players are always welcome!

In this quest you assume the role of an aspiring student who is about to enter the Mageknight Academy. You must hone your skills, make some friends (and perhaps also some enemies) and fight battles in order to prove yourself worthy of graduating as a fully fledged Mageknight! Each year (every 100th turn) your character will be tested by the academy to see if your character is progressing well and meeting the Academy's high standards. After the 3rd year your character will head off into a their first mission for a final test.

How to Join:
New players must fill out their character sheets. The sheet must include the following information:
>Anyone can join at any time. Latecomers and laggers are given bonus action points to catch up with the other players.
1) Your character's full name
2) Your character's backstory, appearance and any other useful information.
3) You are given 3 Skill Points. Choose 1 starting spell and 2 other skills or spells.

How to Play:
1) Each turn you will be given 2 [Action Points]. Post your character sheet and your chosen actions along with a 2d100 roll.
>Normally your roll must pass the [Difficulty Challenge] of 25 in order to succeed.
>Getting a 10 and below is a [Critical Failure] while 91 and above is a [Critical Success]
2) All players must wait for the "TURN GO" post before submitting any actions posts. After which you must post your actions only to that post.
3) After all actions are processed and a new turn begins, update your character sheet.

Acquiring and Improving Spells & Skills:
1) Study, research, explore, train or take classes to discover and learn new spells.
2) Training an already learned spell or skill will raise it further to the next tier once enough [Progress Points] are accumulated.
4) The progress threshold is based on the Fibonacci sequence (1,2,3,5,8,...)
>Usually Spell and Skill tiers are named as Basic => Intermediate => Advanced => Expert => Master
>Alternatively you can label the tiers as T1, T2, T3 and so on.
>Passing the 1st year exams unlock Tier 6 to 10; 2nd year exams unlock Tier 11 to 15
>Progress threshold needed to get to 6th tier and above becomes a stable 10


Spellcrafting:
Spellcrafting involves fusing spells with various skills, knowledge and even other spells that your character has learned together creating a new spell or skill.
>The name of the resulting new spell will be determined by the QM. By default it will be "Cast A B C..."
>Your dice roll will affect the result of the spellcrafting. Lower rolls will result in weaker or negative version of the intended spell and vice versa.

Social Interactions:
1) Role playing with other players is a free action. Role playing with NPCs, however, will cost an action point to do so.
2) Collaborative Player-to-Player actions like trading, tutoring and PvP, will cost an action point to do so.

Combat:
1) The battle starts with an initiative roll by each player. This tells the order of the actions of each player in the round. The initiative roll also resets every round and a new initiative roll will be needed every turn
2)The next phase is the attack, where the player with the highest initiative roll gets the chance to take an attack action. The player he attacks can also take a reaction and attempt to block, dodge or even counter attack with a spell or skill.
3)To land an attack, the attack roll must be higher than the defense roll. After landing a hit, The damage is calculated with relevant skills and traits.
4)This continues as everyone gets a chance to attack, resetting the round and this will be done until a player gets downed.

It’s about noon when you begin searching for L. Parker. You check the library, and find that he isn’t there. You then surmise that he must’ve went out to have lunch. After asking around and looking at various hotspots, you finally find him alone, eating a sandwich in one of the school gardens. Perfect.

You sit down next to him and ask for his name. He then tells you his name is Lewis. That matches the L. This is definitely him, then. When you show him the tag, he flinches, but he does his best to stay calm. You ask him who he’s giving these tags to, and he clams up. He tries to get up and leave, but it’s obvious that the difference of power level between you two would only end in one way. Lewis gives up, and begins to talk, on the promise that you wouldn’t rat him out.

You figure that’s a fair enough deal, and ask him for the details. “I’ve been making these tags for a lot of people, but recently, I’ve been getting a lot of requests from a mysterious guy.” Lewis says. “He’s been saying that he needs it for golemancy and simulacra, but you never need that many tags.” You nod, gesturing him to continue. “A-anyway, I don’t know his full name, but I basically deliver these tags to a back room in the Witch’s Cauldron.”

Interesting. You ask him when his next shipment is, and he tells you that he’ll deliver them in a couple days. Lewis then asks you what you’re going to do. It looks like you can either follow Lewis to this backroom during his shipment, deliver the shipment yourself, or do some investigating in that area.

With very critical information to give, you rush into the busy lanes of the city. Time is of the essence. You hop onto the local bus line, and make a beeline to Eliza with critical information about Martha. “Wait what?” It seems that in your haste you’ve confused which person is stalking which one of your friends. A mistake that could hold dire consequences as you apologise and leave the building. The bus line has moved on and the next one will be in an hour. Within that hour you see a shadowy shape down the street. Feeling the ties of the two separate organization closing in on you, you decide not to wait for the bus feeling the paranoia closing in. In the gloomy dark across the city nightlife. You don’t dare stop for fear of a little girl or some odd letter assaulting you. You spend the rest of the evening just getting back to your dorm. Trying to ring Devin leaves nothing but the answering machine.

A real man takes a pest problem by the head and crushes it. Thou a number of patrons begin to worry when they don’t see you drinking anything under the mask. How do you eat and drink without a face?

Turns out that this wacky school has a slime-friendly pool. You two enjoy it fully.

After months of isolation, darkness, sneaking around the school, trying to be hidden from everyone and a lot of beer, instant noodles and sadness, you decide to take back the control of your life, raccoons be damned. You put on your tight speedo, grab a nice fluffy towel and ask Joy to jump on your shoulder because we are going swimming. She jumps around your room at hearing this words. Huh? Maybe all this time talking to yourself had an impact in Joy. You mention other works like “Water”, “Pool” and “Aquatic” and she seems to just get excited at the mention of this things.

When you arrive at the pool, slime in shoulder, your perfectly chiseled body and your stone mask scare the student body around in the pool. “The Masked One! Run!” But you don't care about it. You are here to swim, train and have fun with your slime. Smaller familiars are allowed on the premises as long they don’t leave any residues in the pool. During your training you try your best to keep up your pace with Joy. Could it be that you are reaching elemental levels of endurance?

After your training, you get called by a mysterious guy, he compliments Joy and goes back into the water. “Love the Mask, Dog”

You head to see Tenia’s Father so you decide to confront him just when he arrives from wherever he usually is at the day, presumably his work. He tells you to sit down and both of you sit. He looks somewhat relieved yet burdened when he starts talking. He tells you, he knows that Tenia can be clingy but he appreciates dealing with it and continuing to make his daughter happy. You’re not sure if he even knows Tenia can be more that just clingy with her obsessions.

He gets straight to the point and tells you how he doesn’t fully trust you but his daughter praises you too much and insists you know what is going on with the family. He starts by telling you that they aren’t from spain and are actually taking asylum here. He can’t tell you where for now. He tells you about how he wants you to do something for him. With all the bodyguards in place, he is sure that he and his family is being watched, he wants you to investigate for him and you will be given something in return for doing this for him. He sounds like he is ordering you to do it but he also gives the impression that you can make a choice. He gives you detail for you to investigate a man named ‘Mauris de Wilde’ He is supposedly a friend but he has been acting suspicious and he may likely be giving out information about them. He is coming back to town in a week [Turn 134].

After such a serious conversation He grabs a drink and asks you starts asking questions. He never heard you much in the dinner so now you answer on your own and you both get along. He says it's good to do this thing without the ladies. Drinking with other people without his wife present has... been difficult. While he drinks, you can tell he’s venting out and even tells you that Tenia gets her clinginess and obsessiveness from her mother. “Ana is a real price. I learned to deal with her and now she’s the best thing in my life.” You can tell he is getting tipsy. You both trade stories about each other’s funny situations and shockingly, he’s suffered injuries from avoiding Ana before. You share some of the casualties and you both end up laughing about it all. He then asks what kind of luck for you to find 2 passionate women. You really are ‘lucky’ he tells you, not sure what he meant by it.

After a while of drinking and talking, he brings out his case and hands you glasses He tells you that it's to help with investigating the man. “Even if you choose not stalk the guy, you can keep it as a gift. I can’t wear them because I don’t wear eyewear but maybe for you, it will fit well. Also call me Ted from now on.” Looks like drinking was all you needed to get close to Ted.

You follow Isabel stealthily, and find her face to face with a tall girl. The two women give each other mean looks, staying silent for what feels like minutes. The tension is so thick, you could cut it with a knife. Finally, Isabel starts talking. “You have some nerve, threatening me like that. An… accident might happen to you, you know.” It’s the first time you hear Isabel speaking with such venom in her voice. It sends a shiver down your spine. To her credit, the girl in front of Isabel does not falter, and answers angrily. “You know what you’ve done ! You leave my sister alone, or I’ll deal with you ! That’s all I had to say.” The girl angrily stomps off, and leaves Isabel alone. Thankful that things went somewhat well, you also take your leave, your head filled with questions about the situation. That girl didn’t seem like a bad person, and her words still echo in your mind.

Speaking of the dead. In front of the entrance to the underworld live Grief, Anxiety, Diseases, and Old Age. Fear, Hunger, Death, Agony, and Sleep also live in front of the entrance, together with Guilty Joys. On the opposite threshold is War, the Erinyes, and Eris. Close to the doors are many beasts, including Centaurs, Gorgons, the Lernaean Hydra, the Chimera, and Harpies. In the midst of all this, an Elm can be seen where false dreams cling under every leaf.

The souls that enter the Underworld carry a coin under their tongue to pay Charon to take them across the river. Charon may make exceptions or allowances for those visitors carrying a certain Golden Bough. Charon is appallingly filthy, with eyes like jets of fire, a bush of unkempt beard upon his chin, and a dirty cloak hanging from his shoulders. Although Charon embarks now one group now another, some souls he grimly turns away. These are the unburied which can't be taken across from bank to bank until they receive a proper burial.

Across the river, guarding the gates of the Underworld is Cerberus. There is also an area where the Judges of the Underworld decide where to send the souls of the person — to Elysium, the Fields of Asphodel, or Tartarus

Some necromancers will conjure the misery and grief of the dead. And still more bring back the souls of the dead. The text describes a classic landscape of Greek Thanatos realm.

You understand a few things. The goblins were using the tower as a way station and supply line for the attack against the grimwoods outpost. Now that the deer are no longer hostile the goblins took it for themselves. THe outpost men were doing recon in the area, when they found them. Deciding to attack the tower they kick the original goblins out. Reclaiming the tower for the forces of men. Only to have the goblins return with larger numbers and pin them down in the tower. The goblins are trying to reclaim the tower but the humans at the top of the tower are holding out. Eventually a mageknight by the name of Markus sweeps in and cleans up the mob

The one you know as Pappiliodya we know as Lightning Bug. I hate to bear bad news but the one that you seek happened to be ‘slain’ by the false prophet, in his haste to bring about the grimwoods taint. According to custom it is required to sacrifice a thing of beauty and wellbeing to bring about great anger and strength. Upon the very battle field of the stump she was ‘slain’. As you ask for clarification for why they keep saying ‘slain’ he explains. The prophet did not kill her with knife or club but with some magic stole her life essence and put it into the rocks before throwing them in.

You do your best to suppress your rage and anger as you begin to comfort Nina. While you’re doing so, you feel a chill run down your spine. You’re not sure if the chill you feel is merely her tears or the feeling of dread this other character is giving you.

Rita de Cascia was a nun in the 1400s. Canonized 24 May 1900. At her canonization ceremony she was bestowed the title of Patroness of Impossible Causes, Rita came to be known to be as the patroness of abused wives and heartbroken women. Her story involves a forehead wound she claimed came from Christ’s thorny crown. More locally, it seems at some point a wealthy widow sanctioned a chapel dedication to her after surviving her abusive husband's murder suicide attempt. The chapel is derelict and has been for the past few years.

The generalization is correct, however you have found the one exception. You realize only after the fact, that if you had chosen any other spear, or any other weapon, you would have had a delightful conversation with a rabid animal only wishing to cut and stab into flesh. As a hand and arm starts to manifest holding the Zenith Lance, you instantly recognize a old antagonist. The Room becomes Blinding White as the being fully forms. Well not fully, as it seems to be transparent. The Lance however is still very corporeal and still very dangerous in that being's hands. It swings to attack you, and you deftly avoid it. The magical Awakening should terminate in a few seconds, all you have to do is dodge an angry, excuse me, DODGE DIVINE RIGHTEOUS WRATH.

While that is going on, Red seems to be a bit distant in your mind. And then you realize she's in the room right behind the wall right behind you. So when you hear the crash of the wall behind you, and the following cry of a smaller spirit, your heart sinks and panic flares up. You grab the Lance and wrestle it away from the Being of Pure Light and Justice before it can swing again. The Awakening Spell dissipates and your eyes no longer sting. Checking on Red, you discover she is scared straight and cowering under the bed. Most of the debris missed her body, but she is still much too scared to come out of hiding.

His arm is stopped by the stone librarian “Bennie are you mad?”
In the midst of the lovers’ spat, you flee from the scene.

Using a technique taken from another member of the club, mana circumference and capacitor theory, you stat up some blueprints. Taking a length wire you jump the passageways of the chakra. Distilling the manasteel and yielding stones into a two dipped diode capacitor. Camilla is able to sit you down and explain the concept while William hands you the machining parts. Tapping into multiple chakra points at once, your mana expendiary is increased

Slapping on the Delvers suits for you and your lady friend, you approach the Pink lake. Above grounds four mighty and impressive stone statues stand looking outwards towards the four directions. a lion to the north, a shark to the south, a bear to the west and a bull to the East. Each animal statue continuously spewing forth pink mana diluted pond water from their mouths. Your knowledge and extensive understanding of mana leads you to the conclusion of mana pollution within the general area. You note it is a primal type of mana. The statues maybe a form of worship from the local populous. Your gut and instinct tell you that the source of the mana pollution must be within or at least near the stone structure.

Walking into the clearly ancient ziggurat, clearly obviously old as time, you hear swirly vines. Reaching the Lion hallway, you note the swirling pink nothingness around you. And almost in an instant you note the grass attack you. With a snap of her fingers, your fire mage retorts in a torrent of flames. The show of flaming wrath causes the vines to retreat back into the wall from which they came from. “I’m not just a pretty face and top rack, Nick” Danielle comments over the radio link

Eventually you find the center of the ziggurat and what looks like a large ritual pool. The Pink mana is heaviest here. Keeping your Delving gear on you jump into the pool. You may be an amateur, but you’re damn sure you know what a leaking pipe is. Carlos would be proud as correctly deduce the problem. The situation become more complicated as the pipe is underwater. You tell Danielle over the short band radio what the issue is: how do you weld the pipe shut underwater? “Nick, it may surprise you, but I am taking Hyperbaric thuamics.” You are silent “It's underwater heat spells”

“All you got to is produce a mana thaumic bubble using basic ward theory around the area you need so you can spark the required -”And she goes on and on explaining this and that about the theory and before you know it. The leak is sealed and the pipe is fixed.

Character Backstory; Standing at five foot four inches Adal has russet hair with dark green brown eyes usually seen wearing a poncho like cloak that has the insignia of his house on the back with a smaller version of it on his breast pocket. Hails from a family that deals with large herds of cattle and horse flesh. Most of the family fortune actually comes from owning some of the more famous race tracks and sending their jockies to other race tracks for the prestige. This is your first day at the Mage Knight Academy of Madrid! Sometimes the first day of school can be a terrifying experience, especially if you don't know anyone and specially when the school year has already started! Even though you stand alone in the crowds of the Academy, looking like a lost stray puppy a girl with a smile as bright as the sun and a very contagious giggle approaches you. “How are you? Are you okay? Is this your first day of school? My name is Tana Ashworth. If you'd like, I can be your guide.” You promptly accept the girl invitation to guide you and she shows you the most basic of the school. She shows you the classrooms and where they are and how some classrooms are reserved for some branches of magics.

She shows the Library and presents you with Athena, the school Librarian. Some people say that she's an Earth Elemental or a demi-goddess, but she’s actually a Golem. Athena gives you a warm welcome and explains to you that sometimes it's okay to skip class if you are going to self-study. “Some students make more progress when they are alone, or sometimes they have very delicate projects that would otherwise fail if they were class projects.” You both thank Athena for her kindness and Tana apologizes because she had Mana Theory Classes. She leaves you in front of the cafeteria building and she points you where be Administration Office is, the swimming pool and the infirmary.

You stay in the dorm and try to get to know the headless creature in your room. He can’t really talk so forming an empathic link seems like a good idea. You try to bond with the spirit, trying to connect to it and slowly, you start to feel the spirit more. You sense strange feeling at first that you soon distinguish as emotions. You do note that upon arriving in the dorm, you believe that the spirit is happy. Many times, leaving the room leaves him in a neutral or hopeless state but as you move further from the dorm, the feelings even weakly disappear.

After a day or so of this feeling, you start to get him quite a bit. Happy when you arrive, depressed when gone, and excited or confused if you look different or have something new. At times, you do feel weird at night with different feelings so eventually you learn to block it out.

There’s a blindfolded woman here seated at a table. She beckons you to sit, and you do so. You place the calling card on the table and tell her about what you know. The Oracle nods, and begins to focus. You can feel a great power emanating from within her. The increase in power gradually comes to a stop, and she looks at you.

“The ones who stole Platina’s research is a mercenary company named the Golden Solutions.” She tells you. “From what I know, they have a base here in Madrid, and are preparing to move out soon.” The Oracle focuses, and you watch as a pen floats up into the air and begins to write onto a slip of paper. It seems to be the address. “However, these men are just the middlemen.” She explains. “The one who had hired them is a man by the name of Dominic Anaklusmos, the founder and CEO of Poseidon Industries.” You ponder about this. You recall that Poseidon Industries is a company that produces various naval tools and equipment, including but not limited to Magitech weaponry. Perhaps they need the Orichalcum for something?

“Additionally, I can sense a faint trace of Atlantean blood within Dominic.” The Oracle says. “Maybe he seeks to reclaim the ancient material of his people.” You ask her for more information, and she tells you that they have an office branch here in Madrid, and that Dominic is visiting for a certain amount of time, likely to retrieve the Orichalcum the Golden Solutions had stolen from Platina. You thank her, and ask her what this information would cost you. The girl gives you a smile. “Only that you remember me, Angelica Shanyrria.” Creepy. You don’t remember telling her your name, but then again, it must be child’s play for a diviner as powerful as her.

Sealed away in corner of the room, is a large plant, with a stem that reaches high to the ceiling. The pinkish flowers droop low, almost touching the floor. You had the foresight to put this being in stasis before, and now it’s time to awaken it. You prepare the ritual, moving the plant to the middle of the magic circle, just in case.


First, you use a spell to release the stasis enchantment. Once you do, the plant seems to ‘breathe’. That’s good, it means that the sapling hadn’t perished. Second, you energize it with a bit of your own mana. This sapling was an experiment to see if the Plant Girls could accept normal Blue Mana. While you hadn’t made much headway, you’re certain that it could now. You know this because when you pump mana into the sapling, the flower seems to readily accept it. When you try converting Blue Mana to Pink Mana, it seems to perk up even more. It seems like it will accept most types of mana, but prefers Pink Mana, much like its counterparts.

The next step involves feeding the sapling mana until it fully awakens. You do this over several hours, as not to induce any sort of mana burn within the young plant. The process is long and somewhat tedious, but you are finally rewarded when the drooping flower finally blooms. Curled up and nestled in the center is… a young girl?

It is then when you realize that this “flower” was more akin to the sleeping pods of the Plant Girls than an actual flower. It’s almost like a mother’s womb. You move closer to her slumbering form and find that she has multiple vines and leaves that cover her like a facsimile of true clothing. She seems to bear a striking resemblance to your younger self, with several notable differences. For example, her hair’s color seems to range from earthen brown to lush green. Her skin is smooth like a newborn, and her ears are similar to that of a wild or wood elf. You notice that she has a pair of leafy wings on her back, not unlike a dragonfly. As you scrutinize her prone form with a investigatory gaze, she finally rouses from her sleep. The young child opens her eyes, revealing irises like shining gold.

“...Mother?” The girl asks in native Sylvan as she rubs the sleep from her eyes.

Interesting. Unlike the other plant girls, instead of referring to you as “Mistress”, she calls you “Mother”. Perhaps your mana, as well as your proximity to her as a sapling and seedling has had an effect on her appearance. Unlike the other Plant Girls, her “flesh” seems to be quite reminiscent of that of humans. Her hair and nails aren’t far behind, bearing a great resemblance to human features. You do some tests and find out that while she can also understand general English, Spanish, and German, she can’t quite find the words to respond in the same language.

“What is my name, mother?” The young child asks you, curiosity glimmering in her golden eyes.

You understand a few things. The goblins were using the tower as a way station and supply line for the attack against the grimwoods outpost. Now that the deer are no longer hostile the goblins took it for themselves. The outpost men were doing recon in the area, when they found them. Deciding to attack the tower ,they kick the original goblins out. Reclaiming the tower for the forces of men. Only to have the goblins return with larger numbers and pin them down in the tower. The goblins are trying to reclaim the tower but the humans at the top of the tower are holding out. Or at least it’s what Markus Milton, a fellow Mageknight, and the Outpost men tell you. The battle is long over but the tower still stands strong.

You ask them if you could peek inside a little bit since you are also building a tower in the middle of the forest. That seems to fully convince them and you start poking around taking notes on the construction of the tower: you take note of the usage of logs for the the support of the upper floors and how the original architects oak for the floors and… Is that a trap door?!

You feel to the basement with minimal damage, but you found the original workshop of the architect of the tower. You decide to take the papers in the small office. After climbing out of the whole, you thank Markus and go back to your small plot of land.

It seems his short time in the military has taught him to speak his mind. “I want you, everyone else be damned.” You kiss him once more, and flip the clinic’s sign from ‘Open’ to ‘Closed’. You enjoy each other’s company for a few hours, and reopen the clinic once everything is clean. Thankfully, nobody had arrived in need of treatment.

First, you reduce your pool of mana to low levels through repeated spellcasting. Once this warm up is complete, you start doing the real training. You practice mana reserves by ‘holding’ a spell for several hours. Once you get tired, you rest for half an hour, and then hold multiple spells for twice that long. You practice on the training dummy for hours. A mannequin and test dummy like him makes it the second best thing to hone your skills on(the first of course, being a live, injured specimen). Still, you make some good progress. She seems a little nervous. Cutting to the chase, you tell them about Martha, insisting on the fact that she is a crazed stalker, and that you did nothing to earn her affection. The four girls accept this explanation, and promise that they’ll stay on their toes. Ada is especially worried about Nina, Cassandra tells you that she will improve the security of the manor. Lucia and Kyoko seem less worried. When you ask them about that, Lucia explains that isn’t too worried about a student, and Kyoko adds that she lives in a pretty secure place, and that the old monk has shikigamis helping around the place. You leave, feeling relieved about your loved ones.

You go to town again hoping to catch better armor and just in luck! New stock arrives! You enter the shop and the variety is noticeably large with different colors, sizes, and types of armor and weapons scattered around. You look around and soon someone comes to help you. He asks about your speciality in magic and giving him what you can, he suggests a few types of armor. He even tells you about an ice combat set that’s might just be right.

The first thing he shows you is the basic common armor set having chainmail armor. You look closely at it and at it really looks like any other regular chainmail. You continue with him and he ends up showing you something pretty opposite. He leads you to a heavy full plate armor which covers most of your body but looking at it, it looks incredibly heavy. The man showing you around tells you that it covers the important vitals but can be heavy to some. After this, he then tells you about 2 other special items that might suit you.

The first item set he shows you is a some ice-user armor and item. The iron vest pretty simple and slim and doesn’t offer much compared to the chainmail but what this vest comes with are a pair of gloves that strengthen the potency of ice magic. The next item is nothing special but a cloak. As you approach it, you feel the magic around it. The man then tells you that this is a purely magic-based cloak. The cloak holds regular defense runes with another special perk. This cloak has a unique defense magic that goes against projectiled magic. Infused with old anti-projectile enchantments used in the wars to stop long-ranged bombardments.

You introduce the concept of an ‘alternative cafeteria’ to the Cooking Club. They quickly agree, and start cooking up a storm of different food. Tenia procures a license to sell this food on campus. You would’ve liked to make the food free, but ingredients don’t pay for themselves. As expected, a lot of students come to eat at the Cooking Club for their meals. You mention Jean-François and how he was insistent on paying you to start the carriage system again. “Jean-François, huh? Well, kid, I’ll tell you three things. Get me the materials that you want your horseshoes made of, get someone else to enchant ‘em, and bring more money and then I’ll happily re-shoe Mercy..”

You visit the Village again, but this time is somewhat late and the sun is setting. The Elders are preparing a bonfire in the center of the village to commemorate one of their legends; the human that turned into a deertaur.

They tell the story of the Great Alluin, a hermit that lived alone in a tower made of Stones near this particular forest. Alluin was a pretty powerful mage that didn't care for nature itself. His spells usually left big marks on the terrain. Explosion holes, tainted trees, Mana contamination on the rivers and ponds. The last straw for his reckless acts was a Transfiguration spell that turned and changed the flesh of an individual to another being. But the Gods didn't approve his actions and ended up turning him in a beast of nature.

Alluin wandered the forests as a half-man, half-beast until he became in contact with the northern tribe. They took care of him and he learned everything the northern tribe had to offer. As Time passed in the tribe, Alluin understood Nature itself and in that moment the Gods turned him back into a human, but after decades of living as a deer he asked the Gods to turn him back into a Deertaur.

Chatting with the Deertaur, you find that they have some prior experience with bringing the rain, and offer to help. It takes some time to translate the 4-legged somatic components into a something workable for a bipedal creature like yourself, but you manage to pull it off. After turning this, you have to find the movement within the area to keep the hypercube in its right position to avoid past movement. The next part needs the cube in the middle where the process to change activates and the space reflexes. Eventually after hours(or minutes?) of different processes, it gets too difficult to finish and now it sits on top of your desk, mocking you and your abilities to not solve it.

A few days passes and she hands you the new and improved Vussora Armor! She explains to you that the armor is Acid and Flame Resistant so you don't have to worry about nothing getting in his way. Also it's made against itself, so he can't destroy his own armor. Surely enough, this armor won't be effective if he grows more.

Trolling through the stacks in the library, you search for adalbert waffling. And his name does come up as expected within the Sport Section of many periodicals. This wizen professor was once a tall and lean goalkeeper for the Madrid football team. You read about the Imperial Eagles rise to prominence within the national circuits and their bid to win the national cup, La Copa. When a string of losses undermined their chances to qualify, many interviews were had with the players. The Professor is credited for saying, "No doubt in my mind, we will bring home the cup for Madrid. There just isn't any other way. We are the Imperial Eagles. Whatever goal we set our Eagle eyes on, we will grab." You begin writing down names and soon discover that you know them. They're donors to the Library you stand in and you quickly start cold calling them to see if they answer. And they do.

Throughout the afternoon and well into the night, you call the old Imperial Eagle players, each with their own story of the Professor. And how they sent their own children to the Academy when they were to be trained as Mageknights. Soon enough you're talking to much of the alumni association. And before you know it, they've invited themselves it seems to show up the next day to show their appreciation. The Library becomes a madhouse for a little bit as you're still compiling a record of the Professor's Good Old Days as a football legend, but also mapping the various generations of students that he has mentored as the Professor of Magical Theory. Your collage is now full of newspaper clippings, photographs, hand written notes from old teammates and and very thankful students dating back for years and even decades.

The time comes to spring the trap, and you have no idea how in the world you manage to hide the twenty or so odd people that have shown up to show their appreciation. Nor have you any idea where all these banners and streams came from. But in the magic of the moment, it has to be expected. A magic that people don't quite respect as much as they ought to is Consequential Fate. The idea that something happens that seems unlikely, but not impossible. It was unlikely that the Imperial Eagles would make a comeback and win La Copa. But it happened all the same. At this very moment as you're hiding this crowd of people to celebrate the way the Professor has touched the lives of those around them. You wonder if this moment was conjured by magic. It may be impossible to determine. However the big "Surprise!" as old sport legends and younger students show their appreciation with a well crafted collage, it certainly feels like it.

Especially since the final chapter the professor is covering that very day involves pulling the String of Fate.

Over the intercom, Camille’s worried voice pleads “Open up we forgot something” You pop the tank’s personal carrier. Camille’s body climbs the tank’s handhelds. Her concerned face watches yours before her hair falls over her shoulders. You both watch each other in tense silence, your mind thinks of any number of software issues she could be thinking about. But before you suggest one of many, she leans onto the safety struts grabs your very real flesh and blood shoulders and neck, her lips are so pale. She presses her paleness against your partner lips. She stays that way for a long time. When she retracts her pale face from yours her eyes are void and cold “for luck … you really made the grade, Caiden”

After closing the hatch again, you flex your Prosthetic arm again. Channeling the flow of mana in your cybernetic impulses, your arm splits into a number of different nodes and peripherals. You sink your metal and computerized arm into the steering column. William turns on the Ring’s rotator motors while Camille ticks off the ring’s rotations. They sink the local river mana into the ring. Under your tank treads a small stream of water flows towards and then around the ring.

Dialing the strange and odd sets of sigils your team breaks the space filter between two places. The very odd wheeling and suction vacuum happens again, but this time you’ve prepared for it. Switching on the personal life support for the tank you walk it into the unknown.

And you’re floating in a most peculiar way. And the stars look very different today. Seconds later. The magnetic wheel stripes lock onto the hull of a large ship floating like a buoy in the middle of space. According to the local stars you can pinpoint a rough estimate of your location. Its one of the Lagrangian points. Though you’re past one hundred thousand miles. Feeling very still. But you’re sure your tank knows which way to go. As you turn the tank around you recognize another Large ring and what looks like a shuttle bay.

A revision for the Stonelord Favor.

You enter the Stonelord's grand palace. The guards let you pass, nodding to you as you do so. It seems you're quite recognizable in these parts. The giant earth elemental chortles when he sees you, a great grin on his face. "MATTHIEU FAUST!" Stonelord booms. "YOU SEEM WELL. WHAT BRINGS YOU TO MY HALLS?" You kneel down in front of Stonelord's throne, and beseech a favor from him.

"YOU WANT SOME LAND IN THE PLANE OF EARTH?" You nod. "VERY WELL! I HAD PROMISED TO GRANT YOU A BOON OF YOUR CHOOSING, AND IT SHALL BE DONE." Soon, a smaller, but nevertheless bulky elemental dressed in brightly colored gemstones walks up to you, handing you a sigil, carved from stone. "MATTHIEU FAUST, YOU HAVE DONE ME A GREAT SERVICE WHEN YOU HELPED NEGOTIATE PEACE BETWEEN MY PEOPLE AND YOUR OWN. IT IS WITH GREAT HONOR THAT I BESTOW UPON YOU THE RIGHT OF ASCENSION." Stonelord declares. The towering Earth Elemental rises from his throne and kneels down in front of you, lowering his hand. You step onto it, and he brings you up to face level. It takes great concentration to not lose your balance, but you manage.

"BY MY RIGHT AS THE STONELORD, I GRANT YOU THE TITLE OF CRYSTAL BARON!" The Earth Elemental declares happily. "AS THE CRYSTAL BARON, I WILL GIVE YOU A PIECE OF MY DOMAIN WITHIN THE PLANE OF EARTH. You hear a heavy rumbling, but when you look around, you find out it's actually the applause of the Earth Elemental Court! Pyrope, Lapis Lazuli, Jade, and the other Earth Elementals are clapping for you. You thank the Stonelord, and he nods, setting you down back to the palace floor.
