Having a famous parent can be a real bother, especially if they're an evil ruler of the land. You'd think being the son of the wicked queen of the borderlands wouldn't be so bad, but all your life she's coddled you and prevented you from achieving your own greatness! Finally though after many years and on the cusp of adulthood, you took matters into your own hands and escaped her loving clutches! Absconding with some valuables and servants, you fled from the lands in control of your mother to strike out and make something of yourself, to stand on your own two feet.

And so after some month's of freedom you've come to Dowen Belda, the domain of the elves, particularly the forested region. In a snap decision though, rather than the haughty pointed ears, you decided instead to find refuge among some orcs. They seem a good, strong bunch to throw your lot in with, and perhaps eventually control. For now though they've got their own problems, which in helping them with, you may gain their loyalty.

Welcome back!

So last it was, you led the group of orcs and gobs relying on you to another group of the same sorts of people, and after clearing up some initial... misunderstandings, you and yours were welcomed in and the two groups have come to cohabit. It's been about a month of rigorous work, but both your lot and those of the forested town you came to have been striving to expand the settlement to provide housing for the increased population and to lengthen the wall around this new expansion. One by one your people have been settled in new houses their own, and in the last couple of days the wall has been completed. There's still identity concerns and other such differences between the two groups, but for now you're all getting along decently well and living together as one whole settlement.

As for you in particular, you met the leader of this tribe, an older orc matron named Arba and hit it off. In working together for the good of both your peoples, you ended up becoming a guest in her home and forming a relationship even. You're not about to get married or anything, but you get along well and keep each other company both in and out of the home.

And so after this time spent with the two groups working together, Arba thinks the settlement is ready to start taking full actions towards its progress and stability.

>How would you like to proceed?
>>
>>1571788
Is the wall already built? If so is it sturdy enough?
>>
>>1571795
Nvm that first question
I didn't read properly
The deal is if it's strong enough?
>>
>>1571795
>>1571800
It's not to the same standards as the walls the former human inhabitants had built, but over time those have fallen to some disrepair anyway. This new expansion is fully orcish in style and structure, and while not as neat or finely made, it's more than sturdy enough to keep out most enemies. And of course worst come to worst, your group can always retreat inside the actual main walls of the town.
>>
>>1571788
Scout the surrounding areas to find arable land and routes. Also scout any possible threats and devise defensive measures. And fortify the walls with offensive structures like ballista.
>>
>>1571807
Okay
Now we can venture out to the other group
Lets take some good fighters from her side and ours so we don't leave either lacking too much
Then set out with Arba and Rav, our friends can stay

And the mercenaries can follow us if they want
>>
>>1571813
To start things off you can scout around the forested town. Make a roll, d100, to see what your scouts can turn up. From there you can act accordingly.

>>1571817
Ah well, the mercenaries, that's a problem. The fellow in charge of them, the vampire out to capture you, has decided enough is enough. Especially now that your group of orcs are safe and sound in the town. He's been getting impatient waiting for you come along peacefully, and you expect now with the wall complete he will demand your cooperation.

So now would be a good time to decide if you really do want to keep your word and go quietly, or if you want to make a stand. Likely with the help of the town. With their help, you will very soundly outnumber the mercenaries, however you can't expect a conflict without bloodshed on both sides.

>>
>>1571835
>>1571839
Is that a roll for negociation? You can with an attempt like that, but you'll have to present a case to him, to not try and capture you now. In his eyes, the longer he leaves it the stronger you (or at least those you surround yourself with) become, so he will want to know what you plan to do with this added time.
>>
>>1571847
That was for scouting lol
But if we can use it for the attack instead of negotiation
>>
>>1571851
I don't know about that but it's an 80 so it's worth a shot

>>
>>1571851
>>1571874
>>1571887
Oh the scouting right. Well if you want to use it for the attack though you definitely can. Just detail how you want to go about it. If you want to lure them into an ambush, stage a sneak attack, or separate them out?

You've got over 100 orcs and many more goblins and others vs their 51 mercenaries. Now true the are seasoned fighters of varying talents, but you also have many advantages, chief among them the foreknowledge of the hostilities to come.
>>
>>1572004
Uh, what do we know about her wife? Where is she? Who or what is preventing her from escaping or him from rescuing her?

Because we have got, you know a ring of invisivility (or was it 'ring of not detection' or something like that? I can't remember.).
Also, how common, if it exist at all, is theletransportation magic?

Because I think he would be willing to leave the queen and join us if we helped him rescue his wife, especially with that 80.
>>
>>1572004
Sneak attack
Okay, evacuate the outermost sector inwards, we'll have our Gobs use whatever ranged weapons we have and start raining down on them when the Vamp is close, then we open our door to let the fighting happen inside, once inside we'll continue the distance assault while our fighters engage in melee, we'll have the positioning, base knowledge and high ground advantage
The goblins should focus on magic users and ranged people and should stay away from melee combat

Our friends, Zela, Arba and Rav are going to sit out the fighting inside Arba's house
And we'll also fight from range with lethal and nonlethal spells
>>
>>1572077
I doubt it, if he can't get to her then we probably don't stand a chance either
>>
>>1572213
>I doubt it, if he can't get to her then we probably don't stand a chance either

Well, we have a ring that avoids detection and a sword that can kill ghosts, so... naybe he only needs some help to rescue her.

Or maybe just somewhere safe to go, after (if) he desides to obtain information by interrogating somebody important to the queen.
>>
>>1572272
Give him important items in hopes he just leaves? Are you sure about that?
>>
>>1572289
No, I mwant that we can help him since we can do things that he probably can't because of this items.

Did he have a time limit to get us to the queen? Is he with somebody else that works for the queen?
>>
>>1572302
The thing is
I don't know if that 80 will be enough, it's enough for negotiating but can we convince him?
Wanna roll for convincing?
>>
>>1572321
Well, I just asume that we should hve asked him about his wife on all of out time 'together'.

Also, he was suppoced to tell us mlre about our mother's enemy, right?
>>
>>1572077
You only know what he told you, since when Nadira tried to scry on the vampire's wife, she suffered a beyonder attack. What the vampire himself told you, was that his wife was imprisoned and being kept that way by the evil queen. Knowing your mother, she's probably handed that actual duty over to one of her servants, but needless to say it's probably a very secure imprisonment.

If you want to try and rescue his wife you can, but it's going to take going to the evil queen's stronghold, back home to where you came from. And it will most certainly take more than one 80 roll. Though to be fair, some players did consider returning or being captured, just to try and escape again later. Just a possibility.

>>1572167
So you want to lure them to the town, possibly inside, then sneak attack them? That can work, just pitch a response to give to the vampire and the mercenaries to lure them in.

>>1572272
It's true you do have some great magic items and such, but you know from personal experience that the evil queen surrounded herself with all sorts of accomplished and powerful folks, and defended her stronghold as such. To prevent things like but not limited to, dragon attack, assassin infiltration, enemies teleporting in, etc...

It's not impossible, considering you know the stronghold better than anyone, and even secret passages in and out, but it's no cakewalk either.

>>1572302
It didn't sound like he had a time limit to return you to the queen, but he probably won't get his wife back until you're returned so he'd obviously want to complete the job as fast as possible. And from what you understand, he's working on his own. That's not to say he's the only agent of the queen or that he doesn't know of others, just that he's one who managed to track and find you after an initial combat in the borderlands.
>>
>>1572356
Hmm, how much does the queen apreciate her followers?

I mean, if we captured a lot of the other agents that cone after us, could we use them as hostages in exchange for the vampire's wife? Just an idea.
>>
>>1572356
Hey Vamp, I'm ready to go just let me say goodbye to my friends, you can come inside meanwhile

That's when everyone evacuates and the fighters get ready before opening the door
>>
>>1572361
She takes care of her own, and loyalty well, but it does vary depending on the individual or creature. Like for example, you personally know she doesn't like vampires. Certainly though, bargaining hostages is something which could work. Seems like a lot of work for just a one vampire though, it's not like you'd lose sleep over suffering of this guy or his wife.
>>
>>1572372
>Seems like a lot of work for just a one vampire though, it's not like you'd lose sleep over suffering of this guy or his wife.

It is, of course, also part of a plot to deal with the other agents, and maybe even have them join our side too!

Also, I don't know if this was already answered, but was him the man that met Eula at the revelry?
>>
>>1572381

>>1572372

>>1572364
>>
>>1572381
>deal with other agents

Can't argue with that! And no, this wasn't the same person Eula met.

>>1572364
So you you give an excuse to the vampire and his mercenaries that you're ready to leave but they're free to come and stock up on supplies with the orcs before leaving. Which is a pretty appealing offer, they've been camping out for over a month now and had to forage and hunt to get by.

Having had anyone outside evacuate within the stone walls then, once the gate is open and the enemy group enters inside, the trap is sprung! Between goblins with many crossbows, trolls lobbing great rocks, and orcs charging in for combat, you catch the enemies off guard. The initial attack is quite devestating on them and the mercenaries struggle to organize and group up, but they're having a hard time.

Naturally you take it upon yourself to maybe blast a few with the magic you know, or even try to maybe counterspell any of the casters the enemy might have. However you notice after some difficult fighting, the vampire flees further into town. A worrisome prospect, and you're met with the dilemma of whether to stay and continue to assist magically, or leave after the vampire in case he does something risky.
>>
>>1572396
>Don't let up on them, do not give them a chance to organize themselves, Gobs and Trolls focus on the casters, Orcs keep doing what you're doing.

They're doing fine without us, we can follow him
Unless he's within firing distance?
Can we fire a spell that travels fast enough to hit him if he's still within Range?
>>
>>1572414
You can probably blast him with a spell before he gets out of range and sight, but he's a vampire so just one spell probably isn't going to do it.
>>
>>1572417
Run after him while casting two missiles, or beams preferably, at his legs
One or two rolls?
>>
>>1572417
Can we catch him with a spell or something? Shot at him with our crossbow? Are we wearing our armor?
>>
>>1572396
>>1572436
*Shigh* And thus we loss a possible ally, source of infromation, and anger mom even more...

Well, on the last part, mom doesn't need to realize if we don't let anybody tell that we killed him.

Also, if we shot at him, can we stagger him enough for some orcs to rush at him?

The missiles can work but they don't do much damage or have such a great effect. And no you weren't armored otherwise that would be obviously suspicious. But then, you're not in any risk in this situation, your safety is the determining factor for these enemies.

>>1572444
>>1572467
You sling some missile spells his way, and manage to hit him well enough, even if the effect isn't so great. He's aware that you're following him now though, and quickly ducks for cover inside some random building which was probably a workshop or something like that.

There's yelling and screaming inside, as you and others try to rush over, and you find the vampire having tried to escape but been blocked by an orc woman protecting her child. He's clearly desperate and dangerous, but at the moment cornered.
>>
>>1572481
Okay
Lets talk
First let the woman and kid outside and let maybe two orcs in
We only want to talk, we don't want kill him, let him calm down
>>
>>1572495
Like, he has no other option now? I am fine with that, since we already kind of threw pasifist!diplomasy out of the window.
>>
>>1572495
>>1572502
First and foremost you get anyone at risk out of there, then surround the guy with some able-bodied fighters. You're not sure what he's capable of but it should make him think twice.

You offer to talk, but then what's there to talk about he asks? You've already shown to be a liar and willing to betray him. And at the end of the day, his situation has only one outcome; either he captures you and takes you back, or he dies trying.
>>
>>1572542
Surrender. You can't take me with you nor do you want to die, but I am not about to go back to the queen.

This needs a dice?
>>
>>1572583
Also, if he denies, can we capture him?
>>
>>1572583
>>1572592
You can roll a dice, but if you say you're not going back, then he doesn't understand what else is there to discuss.

In which case then, yes you may well want to try and capture him.
>>
>>1572618
Is everybody ok with capturing him instead of capturing him?

What kind of vampire is him?

Just to know how far we can go, because on a warhammer quest they were kind of inmortal (are they like that in the original Warhammer universe, pheraps?), so you could turn them to ashes and store them in a cave, and if given a chance, they would regenerate.
>>
>>1572637
>Is everybody ok with capturing him instead of capturing him?

lol

*Is everybody ok with capturing him instead of killing him?
>>
>>1572637
You can't be certain since you're not a vampire and only know what you do from talking to and observing him, but he seems like a standard run of the mill vampire.

So, hard to kill, but if you do it right then he'll definitely die.
>>
>>1572654
Hmm, do we have binding/restrictive magic or hexes? Something to prevent him from using magic?
>>
>>1572661
Nadira probably does, and within the settlement there's probably a few shamans and the like whom could do something like that. However even without magic, vampires have some natural abilities which can't be blocked just by anti-magical means.
>>
>>1572664
Lets try to bargain
We don't want to kill him because he has a wife to come back to and we don't want to do something that'll get his wife killed
And we also can't allow him to leave and tell mom, so, we'll keep him here now that he doesn't have the force to take us
>>
>>1572704
Well that's not really a bargain, that's you just forcibly keeping him prisoner. But yes, if you want to you can do that. You can expect resistance from him though, trying to capture and hold him. After all, he is armed and cornered.
>>
>>1572713
>Oh come the fuck on, put those weapons down
>I don't want to kill or hurt you
>Just come willingly and if you agree to stop trying to kidnap us we'll not toss you in a cell
>>
>>1572718
>And may even help you get your wife back.

>>

>>
>>1572718
>>Just come willingly and if you agree to stop trying to kidnap us we'll not toss you in a cell

He says he already agreed for more than a month to not kidnap you, and still you turned on him. At this point you're basically asking him to give up on his wife, by continuing to further postpone his job. You can say that you'll help him, but at this point that bridge has kind of been burned.

>>1572726
No, Zela and Rav have their own accommodations. Just you have been living with Arba, the leader of the settlement.

>>1572732

>>
>>1572734
Should we save it for something else? If that anon and op are cool with it
>>
>>1572732
>>1572734
With the 91 you can talk him down to peaceful surrender. He won't abandon his mission though, just like he won't abandon his wife. You can capture him peacefully by talking him down, but he's still going to keep trying to subdue you. And after this little stunt of betraying his trust, he's not going to be nice about it anymore either.

>>1572746
You can save it for something else in this scenario of the conflict between the vampire and mercenaries, and your own group. Not beyond this conflict though.

>>1572735
When/if you stop living with Arba and seek a house for yourself in the town? No, Zela and Rav have their own houses. You could try and ask them, but there's probably obvious relationship implications behind such a request.
>>

I say we do that. Then we can see about getting his wife back somehow. Probably through hostages.

>>
>>1572855
Betrayal again?
Now, that is just asking for hin to hate us in his fullest.

Hello all, sorry for the delay. Where I live, unexpectedly got the internet upgraded so it was out for the day. If I'd known beforehand I'd have forewarned.

>>
>>1574572
Still lurking here op
>>
>>1572841
>>1572732
So, with the vampire distracted, the bunch of orcs gathered basically dogpile him. He fights for his life, swings his sword around and evades capture like a cat to a bath, even bites a few when pinned, but they do manage to capture him with no deaths, just a few serious injuries. They want to kill him though for this, but you can at least convince them to postpone that action for the time being. With the addition of garlic available and other such measures, you can properly subdue him at least for now.

Meanwhile, after all this you're met by Zela running in a panic, come to see if you're alright and to deliver the news that the fight with the mercenaries is over. The settlement did surprisingly well for such a suddenly cooked up plan, but she wants your attention, hopping up and down to try and get you to lower to her level. She hopes no one hears, but she says the orcs are committing atrocities, partly in revenge but mostly as an after-battle rite. She's not sure if you'd care or not, but she wanted you to at least know.
>>
>>1574582
Oh shit
Choke him out and throw him in a cell, coat the stone walls with mushed and full garlic, the jails bar too, and only one guard in the corridor with two more outside

Then run back to the fighters, we need to see what we can do
>>
>>1574589
That's a good plan and all but how does garlic affect him?
>>1574582
>>
>>1574589
Unfortunately your extra care to imprison the vampire means more time taken, and it costs you about ten minutes or so. By the time you run back to the entrance of the town, it's not a pleasant sight and you're probably seeing the aftermath only. You can't easily discern what's gone on for sure since the sight of the battle is still fresh, but you see a few survivors lined up whom have clearly been maimed after the end of the fighting. Things like teeth removed as trophies or revenge injuries inflicted, as well as beatings and a couple of executions still going on. The only ones partially spared are a few of the surviving female mercenaries whom are being fought over for obvious purpose, and one male in a similar manner. All the rest, bodies and remains, are being looted and defiled like heads put on spikes.

Perhaps most disconcerting as how much the orcs seem to act like this is normal, even the women and children participating in part. You've read and heard of some ghastly after-battle practices by all races from time to time, but actually seeing it is a little sickening for a first time atrocity to witness. Compared with, of course, the reaction you get from the orcs around of cheers and celebrations at your clever plan and the settlement's success. More than a few folks with bloody hands from the fight and aftermath take your hand or pat/slap at you in approval, and soon enough your presence catches the attention of Rav who's giving her own congratulations and offering orders on how and what to do after the combat.
>>
>>1574597
It's quite unpleasant and he'd want nothing to do with it. It's not like he'll explode if you put it on him, but it would be quite painful and irritating and be tremendously unpleasant for him. It wouldn't keep him from escaping if he really wanted to and had the chance, but it will certainly keep him more controllable while in captivity.
>>
>>1574601
That explanation took more than a few seconds
Nothing we can do now, it would be disrespectful to their traditions

Ask them to bring the captured slaves to us, we only want to see them, unless they want to give us one for how well we commanded the plan

If you want a battle captive they'll certainly give you one, your choice of the lot. More or less, the orcs can line the few survivors up, except of course for those being fought over. Though you could probably claim one of them, but they're too busy fighting to separate them and put them with the other survivors.

You try your best not to hurl, and manage to do so, though the scene will haunt you for sure. Keeping your composure as best you can then, you express your wishes than indeed you want the survivors lined up. Seeing your interest, Rav tells them to settle the fighting, and before long the eight remaining survivors are on their knees before you and the gathered orcs. Four female and one male, the ones being fought over, a halfling fellow whom they think is a child so didn't kill, an actual child, and an old man. Also some animals belonging to the mercenaries, but they're not shoved in among the survivors.

You feel a little pressure now though, because among the orcs they respected you for your successful plan and strong action, and now wait and watch with anticipation for what you'll do now.

And ask Rav what does someone in our position do now? Kill them? Enslave?
>>
>>1574704
And use the glass thing to look around
>>
>>1574704
You try talking to the captives, expectedly though they aren't the most talkative or cooperative. Some barely talk a little, and the old man talks willingly. The child is among the mercenary group as a prospective future member, learning from them and their exploits. It was an orphan found on one of their jobs so they took to raising it. As for the old man, he's just a seasoned old member of the company, now serving as a master of arms of sorts, basically keeping the rules and training folks.

For family, well they've all got family to varying degrees, but they're well removed of them if they're working as mercenaries. Any family they do have, are likely far off whom they send money and letters to, or they left behind.

You can ask Rav for advice though, none of the orcs will think less of you for that even if they speak up on all their opinions as well. Normally, the females and that one male would become war-won spouses, the children could become slaves or adopted if anyone wants them, and the old man probably let go unless he has some useful skill or could serve as entertainment.

Alright yes, you actually notice that one of the survivors is entirely magical, and poorly masking it. You're not exactly sure what you're looking at, but she doesn't actually have any signs of a soul or at least not one that is clear like a life signature. She's not undead though, you're just clueless exactly what she is.

Also one of them has a very strong life sign by odd contrast, currently flaring up as a couple orcs are having to restrain her. At first you thought it was just typical struggle as to be expected, but taking a step back in logic, there's no reason it should be that difficult to restrain a person even if she is a seasoned mercenary. She's also completely unintelligible and frothing blood at the mouth, eyes all white, but it's not like she's just out of it and having a seizure either; she's very clearly still trying to fight and kill them which shouldn't be possible with her dire injuries.

Apart from that though, you can convince them to let the old man take the kids and leave though, for which you suppose they'd be thankful. Better than being slaves, even if the forest is dangerous.

>>1574741
A war spouse? No, none of the greenies would hold that against you. It's a common enough practice and cultural thing. Actually literally marrying one though wouldn't go well, but then "war spouse" doesn't imply actual marriage.

If of course that's something you're into. You can't imagine such a situation could flower into some loving beautiful relationship between master and captive, but then you've also got an evil reputation to potentially live up to.

>>1574783
I'm still here though lol

Goodnight anyway. If everyone is headed off, I probably will too.
>>
>>1574601
>you see a few survivors lined up whom have clearly been maimed after the end of the fighting.

How does this compate to our mother or her subordinates?
>>
>>1574813
Also, I am thinking about giving them the Roman treatment:
Sure, they are slaves, but they are allowed to own things and have money (if so the master desires), and can earn their freedoom (by becoming part of the orc tribe, the same way that Romans gave citienship) through great servise, a payment, and/or the allowance of their masters.

That being said , I would like it more if they were 'public slaves', but that is interfering too much with their culture.

Though, I assume that the orcs would agree that the magical ones can we put to greather employ than being owned by somebody.

Basically, we offer those 2 to have a 'job' more adecuated to their set of skills.

Can we discuse these consepts (eventual freedom, giving slaves duties according to their skills over personal (owner) use) with Rav and the other orc leader?

I suppoce we will end up with the slaves having owners, but making it so they have chances to 'earn their position'. (Like letting the mercenaries, especially the magical ones, fight)

That being said, we would also like to give some rights to the slaves, to aboid mistreatment. Something like 'These slaves are very difficult to get and are valuable accets, try to not damage them'.

OP, elves do slavery?
>>
>>1574813
>>1574947
>>1574972
It is to say, they kind of just got caught in the middle of the disagreement between the vampire and us, right?

A good pay, good living conditions, and they should be interested in staying with us. (Even if we free them?)
>>
>>1574813
I meant something like we marry Rav while still having a war spouse

Call someone religious to take a look at the lively one and ask the soulless one what is she via whisper, we can see she's special.

And let the old man and child leave

>>1574972
>>1575010
If the orcs are okay with giving them those rights while still being slaves im down
>>
>>1574947
Nowadays the evil queen would be one to show mercy in order to try the survivors as servants. If anyone under her were caught doing anything to the living or dead after a battle though she'd execute them probably for dishonorable actions.

>>1574972
Well if you're letting the old man and the kids go, then that just leaves the ones being fought over, and the ones fighting over them aren't interested in making slaves of them really, they just want them as war spouses. You can try and impose all these ideas, but it's going above and beyond what the orcs have in mind; they're not rendering them as proper "slaves" or forcing them to do work or anything, some of the men and women just want them as mistresses or to marry eventually.

As for elves, they don't really do slavery but then neither do the orcs. For the elves it would be more like indentured servitude, while the orcs more like forcibly incorporating captives into the group.

>>1575010
You can't say for sure how they'd feel about that since it's an individual basis thing. Certainly they'd prefer to be free, but some might be interested in staying if the conditions are better, while others might just have a grudge against the orcs for killing their mercenary fellows.

>>1575038
As long as you weren't to literally marry a war spouse, then there's no real disapproval for the orcs on even any number of them. Just the mark of a powerful or successful individual, and a sign of pride/respect. Indeed, Rav for example is a successful military leader herself, so the same could be in reverse of her also having such a captive or more if she wanted. So no, the greenies overall would look at it as a sign of success, and Rav would feel the same way if expecting the same courtesy.

Either way, you let the old man and the kids go, and are left with just the survivors being contested over. For the lively one you can make a roll if someone can discern what's up with her. Same with the soulless one but for you just interacting with her yourself. To see if you can calm her down or at least put her worries to rest enough, to want or be able to talk to you despite being surrounded by victoriously slaughter-or orcs.

Neither you nor any shamans or otherwise are sure of what the frenzied woman is, besides human. They're tresting her as diseased or cursed or something, so although she's still contested, they're less keen on taking her as a war bride.

The other one though, the soulless one, you pull her aside and try to put her worries to rest. In the process though you get a closer look at her and also notice in grabbing her arm that it looks like her skin came off onto your hand. Obviously you're alarmed at first but in talking and observing, come to realize that she's actually a construct. A manikin animated by magic, basically an artificial person, it looks like she'd been using makeup and other means to appear more human, but really she's a combination of porcelain, clay, and other components all made up to look like a human and then animated.

>>1575075
>>1575078
Of the remaining captives, the lone male is a handsome and supposedly cultured young man so has caught the interest of a couple of the orc women who participated in the battle. For the women, the two normal ones are a dwarf and a rabbitfolk, of average looks you'd imagine for their races. The construct looks like she was made to be appealing in looks, but she's actually kind of creepy when getting a good look and talking with her, since the joints of her body are actually segmented and she has cracks in places where she's taken damage. The frenzied woman though is decently attractive, which is the only reason she's been kept alive.

Being mercenaries by trade, they're all very physically fit and generally healthy apart from the injuries sustained in battle just now. Well, except for the construct, the concept of physical fitness doesn't really apply to her since her body seems modular?
>>
Is there any ingure on the ones alive?

We could use our healt potion.

Also, we should eventually talk woth Rav and the other orc about how they treat people after the battle.

We can do it subtly, asking if this is something related to their culture, if there is any specific reason, and then we can try to explain to her why we would like for her to not do that on certain cases, like that if we desecrate the bodies too much, or we keep killing and/or torturing after the battle is over, we could lose potential subjects allies. Like raiding a village vs having it grow food for you, for example.

You're not sure how all your companions feel since only Rika is there, also looting the dead or pickpocketing the living who finished looting. The other companions aren't present so you can't say for sure. Zela and Arba are also there, the former appears quite scared and is cowering behind a barrel, while the latter is helping the injured orcs and others. Eula is not back yet no, probably still among the elves of the divine tree. The elf girl though you've kept to trading duty which has worked out well for you, such that your group at least are all at least basically armed and in time will all be fully equipped with elven gear.

As for the captives, how do you mean see what they are like? You don't suppose your companions would care all that much about your relationship practices, considering they worked for an evil queen before this. Maybe Rika, it might change things but that's because she's your friend rather than servant. Only Gwen of the lot, outright disapproves since she's not used to violence or evil practices, so something like a war trophy mistress is alarming to her.

As for your mother, you can recall one or two individuals she might have been close with in that way, while you were growing up. Never to the extent of an actual relationship to your mind though, but then you've no idea of her private life. She just doesn't and never did strike you as the sort to fool around that much, too careful and too concerned with honor for that.

>>1575112
Yes, they just fought in a battle so all the survivors are injured in some way or other, some worse than others. Like the frenzied woman should be dead from her wounds. You can heal them, but it might give a bad impression if you take to healing captives first over injured orcs and fellow townsfolk.

You can talk with Rav and the others whenever you care to though, but a fair point that all races to your knowledge, participate in after battle practices. Obviously to different extents and degrees, but if you're trying to lecture the orcs on what they do in victory, well you might as well try to lecture every soldier of every race on how he should and shouldn't behave in war when his life is on the line and killing is his profession.
>>

Calm her and make sure she doesn't die, once you have made the work of the orcs restaining her easier heal the inguried orcs and goblings. And if there are greenies that seem like they will die without inmedieate help, heal them before the woman, obviously.

>You can talk with Rav and the others whenever you care to though, but a fair point that all races to your knowledge, participate in after battle practices. Ok, I understand.

So if we do it, it would have to be slowly and culturally, or something like that.

>>
>>1575156
The frenzied one is still wanted tho
If no one wants the construct we could get away with both
>>
>>1575122
Wait which one are you asking to be lent?

As for the doll, you think the main reason she's still contested is because they don't know she's a construct and believe her human. Like the halfling before thinking he was a child. If they figure out she's a construct, maybe she won't get the same interest but they'd probably find a use for her. You talk to the construct herself, she says she comes from a nation farther to the west where magic constructs are a more common thing along with other strange technological wonders. How she came to be with the mercenaries is a long story but her creator is not among the dead.

>>1575124
Since she's made of components, any sort of repairing magic should work. Only the parts of her which are porcelain is she unable to fix herself though, since the clay/malleable portions of herself, if they get damaged she can usually just reshape with her own hands even. A creepy prospect you realize, as to why she appears muscled and physically fit, she quite literally molded her exterior to appear that way.

As for the frenzied woman, you're not sure if casting calm or anything like that is a good idea, because the frenzy seems to be what's keeping her alive through her ghastly injuries. Settling her down back to normal, may end up killing her.

>>1575138
>96

With the help of the orcs trying to restrain her, you struggle to force feed her the healing potion, a few refills actually given her injuries. As expected she starts to heal, but your attempts at magically calming her don't work in the slightest. Perhaps for the best though, as her body heals and her injuries become less fatal, she seems to calm down on her own and eventually passes out.

For this you get some angry reactions from the orcs for helping a captive enemy first, and lose a little respect. While they can recognize that she'd probably have died otherwise, they still believe you should help your own first.
>>
>>1575159
>The frenzied one is still wanted tho

You do actually have a spell or two like that, but you're not familiar with how she was made or the magic animating her, so you're not sure if casting spells on her is safe. She thinks it would be at least.

You can certainly ask her though, and talking to her she says that the frenzied woman is a berserker. You've no idea what that is, and the construct only knows a little so it may be best to ask the woman herself if she regains consciousness.

>>1575200
>72

In the meantime you busy yourself with tending to the injured and dying townsfolk from the battle, thankful for Arba's help in ordering people based on their injuries and needs. You mange at least to save anyone who was dying, though there's quite a lot of less lethal injuries, which may take you a few hours to see to. The orcs and others are thankful though for your saving lives, so if you wanted to leave the less serious healing to others, they wouldn't hold it against you.

Or you could entrust the refilling bottle to someone and let them do the healing for you.

>>1575190

Seems the choice is for the rabbitfolk, and you speak up saying you want her for organizing the battle effort. None can complain, and the orc fellow whom had her respectfully hands her over. You try to talk with her but she's one of the more traumatized ones so isn't in a speaking mood at the moment.

As for the construct, you let her to be examined by some of the women then, and after some arguing and a fight breaking out, eventually the decide that yes, several of them would like to share in her use as a domestic worker and child caretaker.

Lastly for the frenzied one you ask the guy who fought with the others for her, if you can borrow her for a time just to see if she's safe or cursed or whatnot. He doesn't see a problem in that, but wants her back as soon as you're able.

You'll see how that goes for her for now, and if there's no adverse ffects you can do a better job.

>>1575318
Before leaving you happen to ask the orc whom had gotten the rabbitfolk what he had in mind for her. With some sly laughter he says he'd have gotten her patched up from her injuries, then after she'd better healed in a few days he was going to she how she fared as mistress potential.

Considering that then, with some help you head on back to where you're staying with the rabbitfolk and the frenzied woman carried. You don't have a house of your own since you've been living with Arba, but you do have your own quarters in her house where you can go for the time being.

So not much longer later and thanking an orc for his help, the frenzied woman is laid in your bed to recover, while the rabbitfolk kneels by her side since she's the only one left who's a friend probably.

Eventually the frenzied woman does come to some tens of minutes later, jolting awake in a panic and having to be restrained from defending herself by the rabbitfolk. Apparently she has berserker's blood which sounds like an inherited malady among her family and others where she comes from, which causes a person to enter into a blood fury and rampage against any and all, unable to discern friend from foe. As you saw, it grants some significant strength allowing a human woman to put up a fight against a male orc warrior or even exceed one, and gave a massive amount of endurance that the ability kept her alive well past when she should have been dead. All at the cost of insane fury for the duration. It doesn't seem to be something she has any control over, it just happens when her heart is "on fire" so you'd guess it to mean if she gets too excited, angry, scared, or whatever else would elevate her heart rate enough. When not ragins she seems normal enough, so as long as you don't provoke her she shouldn't be a danger. You expect her to be more than a handful though for anyone who'd act forcefully against her though. For any magic tests you'd want to do though, that's up to you. It doesn't sound like a magic power but just a supernatural one, like Eula's abilities as a changeling; they're not magical, just some advancement of biology. That would explain why your attemtps to magically calm her down didn't work, in the same way that trying to magically dispel or see through Eula's disguises doesn't work.

As for the rabbitfolk, with Ragna talking she calms down more and is a little better to talk. Her name is Nime, of an age which doesn't directly translate to human years. She was a messenger and scout for the mercenary group, and has survival skills and common domestic work experience, for helping mending the equipment of the mercenaries, dealing with basic ailments and cooking, camp work like that.

Okay, that's what i had in mind, let's go get the orc fellow and explain to him the deal with her and what he should avoid doing
And privately tell him it would be better to get to know her and all before trying to make a Mistress out of her, if that was his plans for her

>>I'm guessing you know what your orc will ask of you right?

Can we not say that?

It seems pretty obvious and is kind of twisting the knife on the wound.
>>
>>1575582

>>
>>1575568
>>1575582
>>1575584
She gives a hollow laugh when you tell her what the orc has in mind, and she doesn't think he'll be asking. She also says though that she's not going to just accept it, and even if she did, if he tries anything she'll go into a blood fury anyway, unintentionally and fight back. She doesn't have her weapons, and she recognizes the orcs are a strong and hardy people, but he'd be a fool if he thinks she'll just become his sweet little reserved human mistress.
>>
>>1575584
>We need to know if she knows, if she's somehow oblivious to it she needs to know, don't want her to rage out or have a breakdown

Well, that is why we are already telling the orc that 'it would be better to get to know her and all before trying to make a Mistress', because if he just demands it to her, things can go bad, but we don't even know if the orc would actually demand it to her, since they are no proper slaves.

Ok, though, isn't that also an assumption?

Also, I found this piece of text that pretty much explains what I want:
'The very least that could be done would be to encourage theadoption of the Roman model- atleast there, aslong as you weren't being sent to die in the mines, the base assumption is that you would eventually emancipate and then smoothly step into a role as a socioeconomicemployee/subordinate of your former owner, receiving a variable amount of initial help setting up on your own in exchange for sustaining a connection to your ex-owner's economic interests and meeting with him regularlyto coordinate with him on future business moves. Also, laws against being anenormous dickhole to your slaves, and some kind of institutionalizedbacklash for outright killing them.'

Though again, they want them more as spouces than as slaves.

>That being said, can we use it so a subjects from our mother's enemy desides to betray them, slowing him down/killing the enemy? And that said subject had no interest in us?

No since that is beyond this situation of the conflict and aftermath.

If you want to share the 100 to the construct though, that seems fair then. Very greedy, but fair.

So first thing's first, with Ragna awake now and learning of her situation, you make good on your promise and tell her to accompany you to her fate. It seems pointless by now to refuse but she reminds you she'll resist either by choice or by nature. A little while searching through town and you find the orc supposedly "owning" her though, for which he's glad to see her and draws her close which she struggles against. You quickly remind him of what you learned of her condition though, and while he doesn't seem too worried about her potential danger to himself, he doesn't like the idea of potential children inheriting some sort of blood curse from her. Obviously he's a little upset then to not really have gotten much out of the raid and victory, but that's not a grievance he has with you.

Letting go of Ragna then, you ask what his plan is for her. He says if she won't serve as a mistress and runs the risk of freaking out and killing people, he doesn't want to be responsible for her. Just shove her off onto the tribe, eventually some other orc won't mind and perhaps even appreciate half-orc berserker children. Taking the chance before that happens then, you quietly offer Ragna to come with you. She seems none too happy with this, you being a filthy traitor in her eyes and all, but in favor of being passed around the tribe she finally accepts and follows you back to your place in Arba's home. Nime is glad to see her again and wonders what's gone on, but thanks you for it anyway.

>>1576575
Maybe later then, if at all? See first how things go with the prisoners you did take, and if it doesn't work out then maybe seek the construct?
>>
>>1576575

Ok, though if you read my post, you will see that instead of greed it would be more like 'Look, we don't actually want to deal with them, do you think you can have her instead? Yes? Thanks.'

They very obviously would like to get washed and cleaned, considering they're covered in blood and dirt, and Nime is injured. You probably can't expect to go in and watch them though. The guest bathroom itself isn't as secure as you'd like, but then it's not like they can just get out and escape through town; they'll stand out like sore thumbs.

>>
>>1576614
>I was still dealing with the 100, but how would you want to play out the 89?

>>1576619
>*Sigh* No, thanks.

Well, to be fair, I wanted to use the 100 so it DIDN'T strike as greedy.

Can we use that 100 so the vapire losses the will to escape/the orc loss the desire to kill him?
>>
>>1576619
Zela you're not sure about, last you saw she was cowering away from all the violence. You can go look for her though, when you go to look for your healing potion bottle.

As for the enemy, you don't know. You can leave though to meet with another tribe whenever you want to now. The vampire and his lot are dealt with so you're free to act without much worry.

>>1576625
You try to do your best for Nime now then leave to look for your refilling bottle, telling her and Ragna to stay put while the goblin servant fixes up the guest washroom for them.

You search around and find the refilling bottle with Rav whom was using it to help the last of the injured townsfolk. She thanks you for it though, and compliments you for your actions and planning today, saying you gained a lot of respect from the different groups.

After that you continue to search for Zela and have to ask around to find her. Eventually you do though, her hiding and crying behind a stack of boxes while a couple other goblins try to cheer her up. When you approach and they notice your presence though, she quickly tries to hide her tears and put on a fake look of happiness in asking what's going on and how you're doing?
>>

>>
>>1576658

We're not going to tell them to stop their battle tradition because one goblin can't stomach it
>>
>>1576663
>We're not going to tell them to stop their battle tradition because one goblin can't stomach it

Sure, I am fine with that, not with asking her what is wrong, though.

Maybe explaining it to her.
>>
>>1576647
You ask to speak to her alone, which the other goblins bicker about but leave at her asking them to. In particular you try and get out of her, why she's sad, which takes a good bit of work for her to open up that much. You even apologize to her for what she saw, which she's utterly confused by your saying sorry. She's not bothered about the fighting or the aftermath. She says that she saw what happened with all the fighting, and was upset to see you join along with the orcs after and working with them in divvying up the spoils and doling out judgements and mediating. She thinks you're amazing and looks up to you, but she thought you were special and good, kind. So for her to see you just join in with them, was upsetting for her to see you behaving like them and participating in the violence. She fears it's only a matter of time till you're joining in the fighting and killing and are just as brutal as the rest of them. The idea of that worries her because in her eyes you're like a paragon of virtue and leadership, being human and exempt from the foibles of her kind, the greenies. She wants to believe you could always be good and inspire, but maybe living among the orcs, gobs and others, can sully even you overtime.
>>
>>1576682
>Pick up Gob
>Put on shoulders
>Walk to the house
About the violence we joined in to protect our people, to try to lessen the casualties on our side, not to kill because they were the enemy
As for the slaves, she knows what orcs do with battle won slaves right? We're not going to do that, Nime, the bunny girl will be our maid so she can help us with the housework and Ragna will be our trainer, we'll treat them like normal people, not like mistresses or anything like that.

>About the violence
>As for the slaves, she knows what orcs do with battle won slaves right?

She has no problem with either of those things and accepts them as the way they are, in fact gobs do them as well if they can. The problem she has is with you doing them.

You pick her up to carry her which she panics, especially when you put her up on your shoulders. She clings to your head in fear and pleads with you not to drop her, and what was a nice gesture is actually very scary for her. Maybe better to settle for carrying her normally, though after that shoulder ride she clings firmly to you clothes and buries her face in your chest so she doesn't have to look down and be any more afraid. Though, she still shakes like a leaf the whole time till you return to your home.

Once there you find Nime and Ragna again waiting, and introduce Zela to them. She's obviously shy and hides behind your leg, but you can tell she feels a bit better when you turn your attention to Nime and helping her. With the use of the refilling bottle, the rabbitfolk's wounds heal properly, save for the lost fur in those places, but she's surprised by your gesture and thanks you for your kindness. She can't help but ask why you're sticking your neck out for her and Ragna, assuming the orcs could turn on you if you show weakness.
>>
>>1576719

>>
>>1576744
Wasn't a shoulder ride.

>>1576739
None of them take the joke well. Ragna just spits at the idea, Nime seems shocked and embarrassed, and Zela you detect a hint of jealousy as her grip of your leg tightens.

Fortunately the awkwardness doesn't last long though, when the servant returns and says the guest washroom is ready for anyone intending to use it. With a sour look, Ragna says for Nime to go with her so they can clean up and be done with it. Thinking it would help to smooth things over with them though, you ask the servant goblin for some help on where to get some new clothes which might fit them? She tells you where in town, roughly, and along the way with Zela's help you're able to find it for sure. You ask for a few sets just in case, and are able to return shortly, while the two captives are still washing clean.

Assumedly once they're done and dressed, you'll have the rest of the afternoon and evening to do as you please, then tomorrow you can depart to meet with a different group of orcs in the forest.

Well it was more a formality, but you can have answered her question. It wasn't a complicated matter since it was based on an understanding, that she thinks you're the orcs' captive or just an advisor or something, rather than a leader of some of them.

>>1576763
>60

While you're at it you figure to take a peek inside, it couldn't hurt right? Stealthily you open the door and look for what you can. The sight is about as expected, Ragna is in the washtub while Nime sits beside it and brushing her fur, probably after having already washed up first in the tub. You do get a decent look of her though from behind, as the two talk. At some point because of a noise outside, they turn to look your way, which you're quick enough to avoid being seen, but they noticed the door open a little and thinking it's Zela again ask what she wants. You just let it close though and rush back to your room in case.

Eventually another ten minutes or so you hear a call from them for their clothes, but you intercept the goblin servant along the way and give her the new clothes for them to try on. It's awhile later but finally they return to your room looking much better. That is, not covered in blood and dirt, and wearing decent clothes, not tatters left so by the orcs trying to check them out.

They both thank you, and Nime says how they got to talking, and that they both appreciate your helping them out. She admits it may be too soon to say, but she hopes that you don't come into trouble for showing this mercy to them. Ragna too, says she won't just ignore this kindness, but admits she doesn't fully trust you. It would help if you better explained what you have in mind for them, since so far it seems like you're just being needlessly nice. More than a little suspicious, to say the least, after you organized their comrades being butchered.
>>
>>1576791

>>1576809
Again, they're a little suspicious, but looking at one another and knowing the consequences otherwise they uneasily accept. Nime can't complain about housework, and Ragna says she can train you up if that's what you're after, though she does directly ask you what happened to the vampire? If he wasn't killed, she'd like to do so, for him putting the mercenary group through this fiasco. If you could give her that, and you're true to your word about not stringing them along, then she says you'll have her loyalty.

She's not even from remotely around these parts and even she knows the evil prince wouldn't be scraping out a living among some little orc town in the backwater of the elven forests. You may need some effort to convince her to believe you, as Nime seems to.

She supposes the vampire is pretty good evidence considering where he was supposed to be taking you when they captured you. But then that could just be that you pissed the queen off or something and she wants you alive to punish you.

You spend the time with them then, till you're ready to wash up, conversing and getting to know them better. With Zela there as well you try to get her involved, and Nime takes a liking to her at least. You give them a chance to explore the guest quarters you were afforded while you wash up, then it's to dinner as you have a pretty decent time and introduce them to your companions. Well, except for Sephaly as usual, that can come later when Nime and Ragna are better settled in.

After dinner, Arba finds you and expects you to be spending the night together as is usual by now. Also for good purpose this time though, since you'll be setting out tomorrow to meet with another orcish group. Your choice towards this possibility, but either way you consider maybe letting Nime and Ragna to stay with your companions. Like with Rika, should be fairly safe, you can trust her to keep an eye on them and keep them out of trouble from the townsfolk. Just a thought though. If you are to cozy up with Arba, you might not want to subject them to listening to that, by staying in your guest room back in Arba's house.

Uh, actually, I think you misunderstood. I didn't mean to enforce that, doing something as offering rewards should be enough.

It is to say, I am sure that doing something for money/recognition/respect/any benefit/to help the tribe ('For this battle we need to capture as many prisoners as posible') is already part of their culture.
>>
>>1577495
It's a case where, because it was a battle which took place in the town, effectively the mercenaries attacking their home to their reasoning, they were pretty ruthless about leaving survivors and cruel to them. Indeed, there would have been more but by the time you reached them, they'd already killed off most of them, leaving some kids and an old man, and captives considered appealing enough to warrant keeping alive as trophies of victorious fighters who wanted them.

Compare with a battle which may have taken place a good distance away from their homes, you wouldn't expect it to be a cakewalk for the surviving captives, but they also wouldn't be tortured and scourged in cruel retribution.
>>
>>1577506
Couldn't we have TOLD somebody to imprision the vampire the way we did instead of overseeing the process?
Seems like what we would do for sheer logic if we wanted to rescue some survivors.

And what do we need to do to kill the vampire? Just tell the orcd to kill him? Would they do it publivaly or just stab him in the sell and trow the body somewhere.

>>
>>1577586
If you'd have just told them though, then you may have gotten to the combat sooner, but there was a chance they'd have messed up containing the vampire and he'd get out. It was a possibility between properly securing him personally, or saving more survivors personally.

>>1577709
It was something you told only Nime and Ragna. They have the sense not to go talking about that, knowing how the orcs might react. Now later on, or if you make their lives miserable, they might spill the beans to try and get back at you now. But currently they're keeping the secret.

And no, Arba didn't tell anyone either..

>>1578023
You decide to keep the two captives in Arba's house with you, and maybe just be a little more sensible about fooling around with the big orc. Yes though, Zela would still hang around if you'd not send her away.

>>1578153
No you don't know, neither did the vampire. He thought it would be within a month or two (at the time when you talked about it) but he had no further idea about it.

>>1578157
You want to roll for something just randomly happening someplace else in the world, which you have no contact or input with, to go a certain way? Maybe Nadira's divining could do something about it, but no, you can't just sit on your hands imagining a situation and hoping it comes true for a roll to take place.

>>1578259
You could take anyone's house as your own by asking, being the leader. Or stay with anyone for that matter, like Rav. The only issue is that the new houses built for your group were all made well, but quickly so they're all pretty similar and made only for the capacity of one family. So you could say, go to Rav and ask her to stay in her house, but there's going to have to be doubling up in the bed and people sleeping on the furniture or floor. Or get another bed, but still doubling up required.

Besides that though, you've still got the situation between you and Arba. It was never supposed to be something permanent, but it's admittedly really nice, so you'd be quite reluctant to end it.
>>
>>1578330
>Zela is still with us
Excellent, that means that a slumber party with her is possible!
Could she stay the night with us? While we get to know the girls further and smooth things over even more? To start treating then like friends
That way we don't sleep with Arba and we get to know the two and Zela gets two friends
>>
>>1578343
That will disappoint Arba, though :V
>>
>>1578355

>>
>>1578343
>>1578355
>>1578357
You can do this but it's going to be pretty weird. Both the idea of it, and also because of what they just went through and how you only just met but they're you're captives.

If you want to try it though you can roll and make a pitch for how you want to offer up this proposition. To Nime and Ragna that is, Zela would love to do it anyway without need of convincing.
>>
>>1577586
Oh and forgot about the second part but for the vampire, what little you know it shouldn't be terribly hard. Just staking him through the heart and removing his head should do the trick, added bonus for taking the remains out into the sun.
>>
>>1578362
Uh, to be fair, having a party the day your companions day seems pretty akwards.

What about giving then a moment to get over it, out of respect?

>>1578374
>>1578377

>>
>>1578374
Team meetings you mean?

>>
>>1578374
>>1578392
>>1578372
That's fair then, you can just ask for a little group meeting of sorts, to get to know one another better. And it's not like they have much a choice anyway, or anything better to do.

Sleeping conditions are going to be a little cramped though, but for now with a little help you get set up in your room. You'd thought maybe something to occupy the time with, but they just want to drink and forget about the events of the day. They also have some different games they know from their mercenary travels, not just drinking ones either. The orcish brews are strong but that only helps, you just feel bad for poor little Zela, whose size and weight can only be a detriment.

That's for later on though. For now, it's easy going and you all take to conversing. Zela speaks the least, being shy, and Nime seems still bothered by what happened earlier. Ragna has already gotten over it it appears though, and over the time spent conversing and with the drinking as well you expect everyone to ease up a bit. So if you had any concerns or questions for them, would be a good chance for that. Towards you, Ragna wants to know what you're doing here and what your goals are, while Nime wants to know more about you personally, as she does believe what you said about your identity and your mother.
>>
>>1578780
Uh, what were the details of the nation (if it was one) between the peach nation and the coast?
>>
>>1578780
>Put Gob on lap
We're trying to unite the orcs into a tribe again and then unite all the forest into one nation, maybe then Mother will see we're capable and leave us alone

For Nime, go in detail about our upbringing, how Mom handled our friends and social life, the annoying pampering and the almost slave like prohibition of going outside, we're her because we want to leave our life, command it ourselves, not Mom

How about them? Any interesting stories before joining the mercs? Hobbies?
>>
>>1578780
Well, the plan is to make a tribe and go conqueting.

The peach nation could be to much for us, though.

Elves have better tech and are better at fighting in forests.

The red nation is made out of city states, so it could be a good start (though it is still near mother).

The brown island could prove almost no resistance, but we need to go trough the sea, and is mostly decerts. (Though it should have lots of minerals.)

Pink island... hell no, it is full of pirates.

So, plan seems to be to conquer the red city estates and the expand to the brown island.

The peach nation?
>>
>>1578820
You grab Zela which she shrieks and squirms, until she realizes what you're doing, then she gradually accepts it and ends up pulling your arms around her and snuggling up all cozy like, between trying to keep her balance with a big mug of booze.

All the while you talk with them and explain your plan, though to be fair you're more versed with the way the orcs function than the two captives are. Because of that you tend more towards things that are easier to grasp and talk about yourself and a summary of your life story. Nime is quite sympathetic and tries to tell you it's alright and things are going to be better, while Zela is bawling over the sadness of it all. Ragna though is still on the fence about the truth of your identity, but if it were true she thinks you don't really have much grounds to complain when there's people suffering the world over every day. Maybe you had your dreams stifled, but she doesn't imagine you ever went hungry in your life.

Trying to change the subject then you turn it back on them. After your speaking, Nime is easier to talk and says a bit about herself, how she had to leave her home because there were too many mouths to feed and after wandering around for a time came to join the mercenary group. As for hobbies, she actually likes collecting rare things she finds while scouting and foraging, but she's always wanted to see some of the bigger cities of the prominent races.

Ragna by contrast has a more typical story of a mercenary you imagine, her people have been coming from the north for some time now fleeing troubles, and when she was old enough she took to sea raiding as is a common enough thing for her culture. After her group's ship got destroyed by a monster though and they were stranded far south from what they were used to, eventually they just split up and went their own ways. While traveling she needed money, food, things like that, and she happened upon hired work and made use of her skills. Originally she was actually a guard of a noble lady but that job went poorly so she ended up with the mercenaries. She'd like to return home to her people someday, she doesn't much care for these southern lands, but she admits she does like the food and drink. Also a fair bit of comedy how the farther south she's gone, the more dainty and proper the ladies are.
>>
>>1578862
Ragna is the more military minded of the two, and she thinks that's a decent idea. From what she's seen, the orcs are a strong and hardy people, if you could organize them then they'd make a powerful weapon to point at a nation.

Your idea for the red nation seems straightforward enough, but if your concerns about the evil queen are grounded, then she suggests maybe instead going for the southern half of the elven domain? The forests only cover the upper half, so there's plenty of open land and normal towns and cities, mostly elven so easier to deal with than the forest elves. Or alternatively if you like the forest, you could target the portion of the salmon nation bordering the elven domain. It's densely forested as well, but not part of the elf lands so even less organized and sparsely populated. At least that's her opinion, if she had a choice and in the same position, she'd probably go for one of the islands given her favor for seafaring. Maybe even the gold island across the sea to the south.

You speak with Nime, what about her interests moving forward? She's not all that sure though, her kind have trouble planning ahead since they often change their minds. >>1579066
>>1579075
After a good while of hanging out, you're all varying degrees of tipsy. While Ragna plays a game and Nime tries poorly to remain coherent and not laughing all the time, you notice Zela being a little amorous with you, clearly not in her good senses from the drinking. You don't mind it though and snuggle with her close and even get a little touchy feely which causes her to gasp in surprise but she likes enough to let it happen. It's pretty weird given how small she is, but it's nothing too intimate anyway so you don't get carried away or anything. She just asks for a kiss and airily says she loves you, before nestling closer and cherishing your "big strong" body. You wonder how much she'll remember tomorrow, though you yourself are more than woozy and wouldn't mind sleeping anyhow. Among the lot of you, really only Ragna isn't all that drunk.

So after several games, the general trend is determined. Surprisingly despite her inebriation and lack of proper understanding of the game, Zela is the clear winner and only lost her shoes. Chalk it up to goblin luck perhaps. You fare pretty well yourself and lose only your shirt. Ragna and Nime though lose consistently, and are both down to their underwear. Ragna doesn't care at all and is actually getting a little pissed, more because she keeps losing rather than losing clothes. Nime though is quite embarrassed isn't keen on playing much more for fear of losing the remaining bits of clothing she has left.

Along with the drinking between hands, you're also all now very drunk. Even Ragna is visibly tipsy.

Hope you're happy then, poor Nime feebly tries to cover her shame as you all, one by one drift off into a drunken stupor through subsequent rounds of cards.

Before you pass out entirely, you say Nime shouldn't be so worried, she's pretty. In her own drunken stupor she tells you to stop and not to make fun of her, kicking you over in the process, but you can tell she took it to heart.

After that, yes you end up passing out with Zela snuggled up to you.

---

You're awoken the next day by the goblin servant kicking you in annoyance. It seemed with Zela to your chest the servant didn't see her, so when she notices as well, Zela jumps up in anger and leaps to defend you, tackling the servant to the floor as they engage in a little green catfight of hitting and scratching and biting, and shrieking all the while which wakes up Ragna and Nime.

Maybe best to kill the vampire before washing? It could be messy. At any rate you lead the ones with you to the coach, to have breakfast together with those you can. Gwen, Sephaly and Nadira are there, so with some forewarning you bring Ragna and Nime in as well. Naturally they panic at first, and are not at all comfortable the whole time they are there. But then it's usually that way with everyone, in time they might get used to Sephaly.

After a decent breakfast then, you head with Ragna to where the vampire is, and with orc help let her kill him for revenge. You choose not to get involved just in case he might know it was you or something like that. Standing outside though you hear quite the ghastly endeavor, lots of beastly screaming and struggle. Eventually though Ragna emerges covered in blood and carrying the vampire's head, the orcs with the body behind her as they chuck the remains out into the sun to watch them burn and disintegrate. At your asking, they'll also collect up the ashes.

Thereafter you gather the little group together again for the washroom back in Arba's house. Given the killing that just took place, you let Ragna and Nime go first, but Zela becomes quite exasperated at hearing you're going to wash together, even if she tries not to let that on and act like she's totally ok and cool with it.

Well you wash up together, trying not to share attention which ends up being pretty awkward. You're thankful it's over quick, and you're both out and dressed.

Not long after that while sorting things in your room then, Arba enters and slaps you on the back, asking if you're ready to go? She's gathered up a good group for the effort to go meet another lot of orcs, and they should be ready for travel after midday. That should give you ample time to pack and prepare, and order any business you may have before leaving.

>>
>>1580164
Oh my mistake, I thought you were just trying to not push anything with her during a bath.

And are you sure you want to bring Nime and Ragna? In town, they can't really escape. If you head out through the forest again, they'll definitely try and it will be much easier for them to get away. They can avoid orcs though just by staying with any of your companions not coming. Or have everyone stay in case things go south.

As for Rav, that's your choice. Arba says it would be best if one accepted leader stays, in case anything goes wrong in town. You could bring both of them, but her advice is to leave either one, and take the other. Your call goes though.
>>
>>1580183

You settle for taking Rav then, and let Arba to stay here and continue running things. She wishes you well then, and lets some of the orcs going what the general plan is and where to take you then. You'll have your friends stay here though, and keep an eye on Ragna and Nime.

>>1580264
Bonuses towards what?

>>1580323
You've only known them for like one day. They're grateful for your mercy and treatment of them, but if given the chance to escape they'll take it. Maybe after a few weeks, a month or so, then they might be friendly/loyal enough to want to stay with you and assist your efforts.

Like when Ragna said she'd be loyal, that was under the assumption that she was going to remain your captive there in town. Overtime their friendliness towards you will exceed their fear of being betrayed, or dislike of being held captive among orcs.

So anyway, you find Rav and ask her to be ready to accompany you, which she's fine with. Just make a roll then for travel through the forest to this other group.

He, I actually though of a responce to that, so we can use it if it ever comes up again.

"Of cource, the problems and desires of a person are bound to change depending on their status. After all, it is no coinsidence that the city of nations recognised for their development in subjects as philosopy or arts are frecuently surrounded by villages or nations bound to grow food for them (is it the same case in this setting?).
Actually, it can be seen everywhere if you try, how those in power act based on desires instead of needs, it is just how people is.
Thus, I know to not always espect empathy from people have to work and out their life at risk to feed themselves and their family, the same way that I know how sometimes trying to show empathy to others can be insulting.

So, in other words, I have no grudge against you for if you think that."

That works well enough. While traveling with the group then, about the third day in you encounter what looks like a pillaged wagon train of strange design, culture. Not many, only about four wagons, but while searching through you find an insectfolk tied up in the back of one, badly injured and left for dead. A moth kind upon inspection, it is barely coherent when one of the orcs rouses it to test for life, and says to leave it here in case the attackers return.

>>1584377
>and says to leave it here in case the attackers return

We could do that, or we could set up an ambush for the attackers. (With help of illusions and cover?)

First of all, though, we should learn more about the situation, so I say that we heal it so we can make some questions. (Maybe they could be allies?)

About what to do with it, we can heal him, leave him (as bait or to die), or we can take it with us (probably making it look like an animal broke in and draged it away to eat it?).

Whatever the case, information first. Heal him and ask him who it is, who attacked it, how many, if they used magic, what weapons they used, if they fell in a trap or they encountered each other and they took the chamce and their numbers. (And any detail it may wants to add).

And make sure to have people watching the surroundings to make sure you aren't surrounded/attacked without noticing, do it quick.

Also, use illusions if they help.
>>
>>1584398
>92

You can see some magical residue about the attack scene, as well as a trail leading away from the site. It seems clear to be a pretty good indicator of where they came from and went, but do you want to even get involved?

You can help out the moth and offer the healing potion, which makes a world of difference after a few refills. Beyond that, well it's not really your business. Rav certainly doesn't seem to care and would rather continue on the way to the other group.

>>1584475
You can ask it some questions at the very least, to satisfy your own curiosity. The moth says it was actually a group of raiding elves, surprisingly. As you've found out, even though this is their nation and they have the cities and everything between, there are still some elves who prefer to live in nature or even turn to crime. This must have been such a case, though the moth says their group was betrayed by one among their own, it thinks. Mainly because it saw said individual not being attacked, and waiting aside for the elves to finish their attack. As you can tell, they did use some magic, and a usual complement of elven weapons.

All the while your band of orcs have the good sense to watch out for any attackers, like if the moth was bait.

So looks like the majority are against it. You just help out Peshde, and offer to take her along. Better than being left here in the wild, especially when you can offer food, drink and safety.

So ignoring the matter of the raiding elves, you continue your journey and after another day or so, you approach within scouting distance of one of the other two orcish groups in the region. Continuing much further and you run the possibility of being discovered, so it's your choice on how to approach. Rav thinks just marching on in confidently would be best for trying to show you mean business, but if you have a specific idea in mind they might follow it too.

>>
>>1586310
Well it was deleted, but that doesn't invalidate the 1 that was rolled.

SO,

Following Rav's lead, you try not to stand out too much along with Peshde, as the orcs do their thing and make a strong show of moving into the other group's territory. You're inclined to believe Arba when she said this would be the best method, for sure a group of 50 fighters strong traipsing through one's territory is cause for any concern.

Unfortunately as the team approaches the settlement of this other group, a rather elaborate and complex trap is sprung by the defending orcs, involving whole trees being felled and set alight with flaming oil, to enclose your own team within a certain area and a strong display of force from the defenders sallying out. There's no way this could have been pulled off on the fly, and must have taken at least several days of planning. As well, there's no way this defending group should have so many members.

Either way your team is encircled and things look grim as violence fast approaches.

>>1585313
>94

In a pinch though, and mustering all your courage, you step ahead of the group and use magic to project your voice louder to all there. Keeping your confidence, you announce who you are and why you're here, and figure to at least compliment them on the trap. You're not at all afraid though, at least you give that impression, and it gives inspiration to your team. Almost a supernatural one, you can't explain it because it's not magic, but amid the rising smoke of all the burning trees a light through the canopy above happens to shine upon you and your group. Maybe just the impression it gives, but the enemy orcs, trolls and goblins despite their obvious advantage, second guess themselves and hesitate, meanwhile your orcs show strong unity and bravery.

All of that, combined with you, a strange human among them, warrants special attention. You hear calling out from behind the gathered enemies, and through their ranks pushes past the obvious leader of them all. Rav quickly moves up to your side in case you need some orcish help with the issue, but the big green guy with decent equipment introduces himself. The leader of some of these greenies, he knows why you're all here since they've had people stalking you for a couple days now. However, he thinks you and your team have more in you all than anticipated. As such, he'll halt what would have been a vicious battle, and listen to you and what you may have to say or have in mind. A human, this far into the deep wood, deserves that chance at least.

Plenty of the gathered greenies hear and angrily, vocally disagree with this, but a horn sounding back in the settlement, quietens them down. Why, and who sounded it though, is beyond your noticing at the moment as you're faced with the leader of apparently, only some of the gathered orcs, trolls and goblins here.

>it's op's fault for being a lazy piece of shit

If I'm not allowed to duck in and out once the thread hits autosage, I'm not sure what to say. When the thread is on the front page and can be bumped, I give like 6 -10 hours every day for playtime. The thread can be up for 10 days or more before it drops off the board, if you expect the same consistency for the entire duration then I'm sorry if I can't keep up that much.

>Way to shit on your players
>No wonder you have next to no players

I could have used only the 1 and discarded the 94 entirely. The rules have always been crit fails and crit success always take priority, no matter how long it takes between them and responses written. If a 1 or 100 gets rolled, it doesn't matter if I see it and respond within 30 seconds, or if someone posted it after I went to bed and see it and respond 8 hours later. I felt it fair though since the test was for two rolls, to balance the player's worst with the player's best.

Either way, I didn't realize I was on a 1-strike basis where one bad thing against the players, in three threads of consistent play and success and cooperation, means I'm ungrateful and don't appreciate them. Like I could be one of those QMs who constantly fucks with players and is against their success and is only around maybe 1-2 hours a day, but it sounds like your grievances with this quest are long-running. Thank you for playing at least as long as you did, hope you don't regret it.

>>
>>1586376
Are you going to continue?
>>
>>1586440
>Given he continues this lazy way of running things.

It's how I've always done things though, since thread 1. It's not something new, I've always maintained that once the thread hits autosage, there's no set runtime or consistency. The first three days are the serious, full play time. After that, I don't want to say the plot is less serious but the play certainly is, I don't devote the same constant attention to the quest when it's in autosage and it's my opinion that the players shouldn't beat themselves up over it either. I'll always appreciate if they do, but we can't all have the same available time for playing.

>>1586465
>You never said anything about leaving, you just fucked off without even a warning.

To be fair, again, I've always maintained that being a possibility. If I don't post for more than 30, hell even more than 15, it's a safe assumption that I'm gone for awhile.

>In which half, or sometimes more, you're away without even saying anything.

Not during the first 3 days, not while the thread can be on the front page. During then, playtime is consistent and reliable, I maintain that. I believe this specific thread, I missed out a lot of the second day but I said so beforehand. The other threads before this, the first three days had the consistency you're requiring. Again though, if you expect the same consistency as the first three days, for the duration of the entire thread, I'm sorry but that's not going to happen.

>So fucking what? You still took it when you shouldn't have.

If I took the original roll of the 20, 94 then the outcome would be the same as it is now. A 20 is a terrible roll, not much better than a 1. Maybe the fallen tree barricades wouldn't be on fire, that's about it. You'd still be in this same predicament, for rolling as bad as a 20 or lower.

>Was it worth this?

I apologize your time was wasted by the absence, but all back to the above, absences shouldn't be unexpected when we're this late into the thread. I'm sorry but I can't spend 40+ hours a week, every week on this. It's suppose to just be a fun little quest on 4chan, not something that QM or players struggle to check every 10 seconds.

>>1586483

>>
>>1586401
>>1586440
You make a strong case to him about uniting your people's, and the idea of leaving this horrible forest is very appealing, even if he does enjoy killing elves.

However you're met with the problem in that, for one thing he doesn't see how it benefits him, to throw in his lot with you, if you (a human) is going to end up in charge. The other problem is, that although he's the leader of his group, the leader of the other group is more powerful (as is his group) and he's the one calling the shots here. He's the one who set up this whole ambush, when he heard of some precocious human thinking he could lead the orcs, and he's the one who organized this merger between their two groups.

Because when they heard Rav and Arba's groups combined into one as led by you, that combined force was a threat to their own groups and wellbeing. So they decided to combine their two groups, to oppose yours. Overall orc uniting, no one could ever complain about, but they're not keen on a human doing the uniting. Especially since the other orc leader fellow considers himself a chief already in all but name, now that he leads two groups basically.

>>1586543

This is not a bad plan, but you're trying to pitch this idea to the leader fellow whom himself would like to be chief if possible. Certainly before a human could get to be.

If you were offering Rav to him like a marriage deal, and together they become chief and chieftess, that would definitely catch his attention and win his interest. But if you're in front of him saying basically "Yeah me and Rav (or Arba, or even Zela) are going to get married, thereby making us the new chief and chieftess" then that's confirming his exact fears, of not only his dreams of chiefdom dying, but also the distaste of a human chief over him and his kind.

>>1586569
Your diplomacy has been a successful one, in stopping the massacre of your group here. And you've definitely made waves, and proven you're an individual of interest, worth keeping around to see how things play out.

However, while they are willing to give you more time, the leader on behalf of the one above him, is of a mind to take you and Rav as political prisoners. Basically let your team leave safely and freely, in goodwill back to Arba's town, while you and Rav are kept here till things can be figured out and a deal reached. No violence, not hardships, just acceptance of defeat here today, and peaceful goodwill moving forward.

You can of course try to change this bargain, but your team here getting to live another day is a great boon, and maybe you and Rav being closer to your enemies isn't so bad? Perhaps you want to keep your team together though. And the poor moth girl is all just entirely confused and scared of what's going on.
>>
>>1586576
What does Rav suggest?
>>
>>1586585
She doesn't want to be captured, as she thinks they'll just go back on their word. Like at any moment they could decide it's all too much trouble and kill you both. If she had her wishes, you'd all be leaving together safe and sound, back home to figure out a new course of action. She doesn't suppose though you'd be able to drive a bargain that good, but then she also doesn't perceive the kind of value which could be gained by living with/among the enemy and observing, learning.

Maybe you could even send her back too, and just you remain as a hostage? If you wanted to assure she wasn't in any danger. But a difficult trade off of being here without her, though if your plans are contingent on her, perhaps her safety and freedom are the most important thing of all?
>>
>>1586586
Lets try bargaining first
We can cut him a deal where he could end up being the orc with the most benefits, but we need to speak with all of our other associates to negotiate between all four and settle on something doable, he can't exactly roll out on the town saying he's the chief of the three with us in tow, that'll end badly.

We'll go talk with our people then return ASAP to offer him the deal, if he accepts there could be some really good benefits in for him.
>>
>>1586596
We can cut BOTH. A deal
They both could end up really powerful orcs with a lot of land to show for it

Give a speech strong enough to turn everyone against the big orc: he's putting greenie lives on the line because of a selfish, petty power struggle, if we only unite against him and show him we can take back the forest and unite without trouble there will be no greenie bloodshed and the forest will be yours

We only wish to be a part of it, not be at the helm of it all, we'll decide once we're back home, anyone can come with us to our headquarters, there we will build a city together hold and protect you all. It shall be the greenies new capital those who choose to stay will still be our allies we only ask of you too keep things under control while we come back.

I understand the logic behind this, but you need to understand that greenies WILL JUST COME if a tribe forms, so don't expect them to agree woth thag because it would kind of agreeing to stay behind with absolutly nobody.

>>1586608
Well, I don't think we will get time for that, since big orc is probably going to react badly once we start making more greenies join us, because we are kind of confirming his fears.

Though maybe we can project our voice with magic? Convince everybody to join us against their leader before he gets a chance to order back? (It is a fucking 100)

Then about what we do with him, maybe we can challenge him to a duel (with Rav), or choce between exilement or servitude.

We could probably do that to the two, acrually. It is to say, we are kind of doing what their feared, take the power away from them by making their orc join us, and I am not sure of how much power you want to give to this guy, though I suppoce I am fine with anything that is under/still has to respond to Rav, so there could probably be some hate from him towards us, so I am not sure about giving him to much power/letting him join.

It is to say, we could probably just change to speech to say 'these fools' instead, though you rolled the 100, so it is kind of your choice.

And again, we don't really know much about these guys.

With that, you might not be able to sway everyone against the big orc leader, but you can definitely sway everyone who hears against him. Including the leader you're speaking with and so his whole group.

Add some sort of action component, like something you or your team does so that it's not just you standing and lecturing a group of people who were poised to attack you. Talking to grab their ear and make them reconsider, and then doing something to sway their support and loyalty, and you're good to go.
>>
>>1586759
>not be able to sway everyone

That is, to clarify, you could probably sway his own mother against him, but not everyone you want to have hear you is within hearing distance. Even projecting with magic, you'll get a larger audience but not the majority of both combined groups.

An accompanying action though, will carry the sentiment farther.

And he does so because it worries him, it worries him what we can do together if he is not the one who leads, just like you.
You said that no one could ever complain about overall orc uniting, but I disagree. You have been in this petty fight over power all this time, always at each other's troaths. It is only at the face of me, a common threat, that you have joined.
And what has been the result?
Here you are, defending him, while he uses your fear as fuel, and only 'lowers' to do so because of his own. But it is that fear what has kept you divided.
I am the one who changed things, I am the one that wants to unite the orcs, and I offer you the oportunity of leaving this hell, of making a natiom for your kind, of joining your brothers and sisters. Will you take it?"

Glowing all the while with magic and having our people cheer us?

So considering the situation in your head, you gain inspiration from some quick thinking. Focusing on the leader before you again, you present him with an argument of how he's just being used by the bigger orc and how with that guy he doesn't really have much a future. With you though, already he can see you have what it takes to make things better and lead the orcs away from this blighted forest, and that you can promise him more power than the big orc can.

It's like a moment of clarity for him, as he realizes you're right, he is just being used. The big orc made a good showing and promised many things, but if it weren't for him none of this would be happening. He goes through quite a crisis in that moment, but after a couple minutes of intense consideration for his orc brain, and talking it over with a couple close friends or advisors there, he finally returns to you and tries not to broadcast it by whispering as best he can, that he agrees with your point and he'd rather support another orc for chief or chieftess. He doesn't know what to do though, or how he can help you?
>>
>>1587850

Feeling inspired yourself then, and some quick thinking, you reach out and pull Rav close. Though she's bigger and stronger and you confuse her at first but she decides to go on your lead, and moves close though is caught off guard when you wrap your arm around her. With magic projection then, you give as rousing a speech to the other greenies gathered and within hearing distance as you can manage, covering some similar points as with the lesser leader before you but also appealing to their other interests; glory, victory, strength, unity, things like that. It took Rav a bit to catch on, but she joins in to help you steer the speech in better ways you might not have, and drums up support among your team and even some of the gathered greenies here. By the end of the speech you both raise your fists sky high with a yell from you and a roar from her of triumph. The ambition is infectious, and in that moment, you suddenly feel more powerful than you ever have, and both you and Rav are surrounded by a vicious force and reddish light which gives off a supremely imposing visage and will and makes your battle shouts reverberate through the whole area and perhaps beyond with a palpable wave of force that would encourage any friend to victory and cow any foe to submission.

None can deny the will of the conquerors, and your team first and foremost with a resounding roar in unison charge the gates of the settlement. Seeing this and catching on, the lesser leader before you gives up his own roar calling for the big orc's head as he rushes after to join your team, and seeing this soon all his own group both inside and outside the fort follow after their leader and the shared will of the conquerors. Seeing all this, and the charge of victory before the both of you, Rav draws you close strongly with a fierce kiss which nearly overpowers you. Letting go only to give a bellowing laugh at the battle to come, she takes you by the hand to prompt you to follow after her, eventually so that you can rush in without needing her and the both of you can join the thick of the fray. Naturally you're a little worried since you're not a fighter, but you're so filled with strength and courage, as she hands you one of her two weapons you feel like you could take on the world. Even more, when she says this is your's and her's victory, fate waiting for the both of you to seize it, and nothing can stop you both together. Thereafter she rushes in after the charge to the heat of battle, similarly as invigorated and unstoppable as you.

At her prompting, you rush in after Rav to join the combat. Between some of the armor you brought, the magic you can wield and spells you've been practicing, you put up quite the fight. You might not be as skilled a fighter as the orcs or as strong, but with your own abilities you can fight alongside them all the way. Together with Rav and your team, and the defectors of the lesser leader, you come to fight on pretty even terms and area by area take the fort. There's a good deal of bloodshed, but your efforts to capture rather than kill, or even just cause enemies to defect, turn out to do surprisingly well.

Within half an hour, maybe more you've managed to reclaim the fort and force any enemies out to a camp which you notice has been setup near to the fort. Probably the big orc's as he traveled to join with the lesser leader. You think you'd have noticed if he was around in the fort so he must be in the camp. Gathering up everyone you can for a final push though, you're confronted with the matter of either continuing along with the fighting or staying back to heal and help anyone so far whom has been wounded or dying.

>>1588930

Hmm, ok. Do we still get +100, though?

Also, give the potion to an orc, tell him that it will heal the wounded and that it is endless. Daying people first, if there is need to choce those from our side should be healed first. Tell him to ask somebody to organice the wounded based on their gravity if needed.

So handing off your refilling healing potion (after you and Rav both taking a swig yourselves) to a goblin shaman and instructing its use, you continue on with the fight. Rav gives a rallying roar as you talk it up one last time, encouraging everyone gathered for the final push to take down this foolish tyrant, and hyping them up for the charge.

As the gathered force moves to smash down some of the wall rather than exit the fort and circle all the way around, now would be the chance to tell Rav the truth, if you want to do so before this is all over with, for better or worse. >>1589136
Fearing you may not get another chance, you catch up to Rav and the group, and grab at her for a moment to get her attention. She's obviously busy with gathering anyone together but when you keep at it, she eventually understands it's important and steps aside to ask you what's wrong, hoping you're not injured or anything.

You explain to her though that you have something to confess and are afraid this is your only chance. You try to explain your identity to her and just a little of your reasoning. She takes it hard and you can tell she's thinking about all the different issues with it, but you grab and meet her face to face (as best you can) and tell her not to dwell on it so much right now, there's only one thing that matters. Taking a deep breath, she nods in acknowledgement, and just asks why you didn't tell her sooner, before focusing back on the effort at hand. You consider if maybe a kiss to smooth things over is in order, but as you told her, she tells you, later maybe.

Finally with the effort of two trolls the wall is smashed down, and the path to the remaining enemy camp is clear. One great, final charge as everyone there pushes ahead and surges to, and into the camp. The fighting is a lot more brutal since you get the feeling the big orc kept his strongest and most trusted here instead of at the ambush. Still, you and Rav fighting back to back and succeeding against all odds, inspire and encourage all around you. The battle is tough, long, and bloody but you struggle through victorious. A little worse for the wear though, as you've both been injured a few times and have to support one another to keep up.

There's only one thing on your mind though, as you and a gathered through spearhead into the camp and finally seek out the biggest tent you can. It seems appropriate enough, and the correct assumption as the big orc is haughty enough for it. Therein you find a few personal guard, and the big orc himself quickly trying to gather goods up and actually looks like he's trying to flee. The battle has gone south for him, so rather than stay and risk his own life, maybe he wants to just escape with his valuables? As much as you'd like to just be done with it and kill or subdue him though, you and Rav aren't in great shape and you lack your healing potion. Maybe it would be for the best if you let him run for now and seek him out at full strength later?

So together with Rav, and the gathered others, those outside fight off any reinforcements coming for the big orc, while you and the others inside fight against the tyrant himself and his personal guards.

It's a bloody and bitter battle, costing more than a few lives. In the end though, your triumph continues. Only a few are left alive and the big orc is subdued and dragged out. Upon seeing this, anyone whom supported him, either decide to defect now, or at least surrender until his life isn't in danger.

While you wait for the healing potion to be run over, he angrily asks why you don't just kill him then? He also gives some pretty strong talking, about you to everyone there, and how you're just using them. Some human outsider, weak, and only able to get his way with trickery and deception. They're all fools if they accept you to lead them, how it will all end badly, etc... while he is in a defeated position, it is an orc saying this to other greenies. He doesn't sway them like you did, but he does cause some concern you can tell. Rav doesn't seem to think it will matter though when he's dead soon enough.

And before long the healing potion is brought up, as Rav takes a few swigs. While her body mends to the magic though, she also gives it to the big orc to drink. You didn't expect this and try to stop her, seeing the big orc rather confident in knowing he'll be at full strength for the fight, and saying Rav is very stupid to allow that. She tells you to believe in her though, you did your part for winning the battle, now let her do her part for winning the duel.

You give your encouragement to Rav and let her know you trust her. Your support encourages her all the greater and you give her back the axe she lent you, to face off against the big orc as she tells the ones holding him to let him go.

It looks pretty grim you'd think normally, as the big orc is indeed a big orc and now fully healed and given back his weapons, he seems pretty confident and laughs at Rav and all your efforts. She just remains quiet and focused, and only goes through the duel opening procedure for tradition and respect. The fight starts out no better, as Rav is knocked around and beaten down constantly, the big orc clearly a more brutal fighter if not a skilled one. Every time though, Rav gets back up, seeming to have shrugged off the greatest attacks with only minor injuries. And the more the big orc tries (and slowly wears himself out) and the more she takes a beating, the better she starts to retaliate. As if driven by some supernatural force, she recovers and retaliates, and as the fight drags on it slowly but surely turns more and more in her favor. Eventually the tables are turned as Rav ends up on the offensive and really gets to show off her own skills. She's more agile, faster, and inexplicably strong if not stronger than her opponent. She starts to win for sure, and before things are done, she doesn't just defeat him but she humbles him.

Left kneeling in defeat, wounded pretty badly in several places (one of Rav's axes lodged in his gut) and exhausted, afraid even to see how things turned against him, he admits defeat and asks for mercy. He says he now understands he was wrong and how it was a mistake to deny any of you or your will. Rav hears him and even torments him a little, encouraging him to continue, to really beg for it. Finally though when he's as low as he can get, and he might have had some hope he could survive this, she swings around rapidly and embeds her axe into his neck. A shocked expression and choking on his blood, Rav gives another swing or two, before pulling his head free of his shoulders by kicking his body down. The area explodes with activity as anyone and everyone reacts in their own ways to her victory. They gather, they cheer and roar, the throw weapons and objects into the air, they hug and laugh and cry with one another, and would hoist her on high in celebration. Instead though, through it all she looks for, and finds you. Taking you by the hand, she draws you close with a deep kiss for you to hold onto her, at her side with the both of you atop the body of the dead orc pretender, hoisting his head high and giving a triumphant roar.

Again a heavenly light pierces the canopy and illuminates the two of you, as the force and energy of the victory is so powerful that you could reach out and grasp it. If this is what seizing destiny is, you can believe it. And so do the others, as all show respect and proclaim Rav chieftess, ruler, and even Khanum.

Before anything else, you congratulate Rav on the victory. She says though she couldn't have done it without you and loves you for it, asking if you always win at everything you do? You of course thank her from all the way at the beginning, accepting you to join and live with her after you first met.

After that, you devote yourself to helping people out with your magic and potion bottle, alongside various other greenie helpers, both mundane and magical. You could let someone else take care of it, but it earns you a lot of gratitude and respect, even more than already from leading them all to victory and especially from fighting alongside them in the thick of combat.

As for all the talk about Rav's exalted position, you come to learn that a lot of it seemed to be cheering, exaggeration and bluster in the moment. There are few if any whom would doubt Rav's authority now, but it's not as simple as them just proclaiming her the ruler. I mean, technically speaking that's all it would take, but you're right in believing that it's a more complicated and formal process. They were just showing their support of her to go through with it, now that there's nothing in her way and no reason not to.
>>
>>1589839
>They were just showing their support of her to go through with it, now that there's nothing in her way and no reason not to.

Ok, and what exactly does she need to do now, and how long would that take? Do we need to go back to Arba first?

Also, is there anything that she wants to do at the moment? And does she know what that red light could have been?
>>
>>1589878
And what hapened to Peshde?
>>
>>1589839
What does she need to do now?
We'll back her up and try to help
BUT!
We could really use a shower and a good rest
And is she going to do with everyone following her now? Start building in Arba's or the lesser leader's place?
>>
>>1589916
>Start building in Arba's or the lesser leader's place?

I think we will go to conquest, probably the city elves by the coast outside of the forest.
>>
>>1589878
>>1589916
Well there's definitely something she would like to do, with you, at the moment. Fighting alongside you to victory awoke quite a passion in her for you, she even lets you know about as subtly as an orc can. If only you weren't both in the middle of a victory aftermath. Or rather, she doesn't even care about that, but if only it wouldn't diminish the reputation a little.

As for what needs to be done now, it's a pretty detailed, but straightforward and understood process. She summarizes it for you, basically declaring herself chieftess and after a test of power, and remaining unopposed, then an official tribe is formed. After that, well being that she is the daughter of the great orc Khan, she has a claim better than any other to that title. That might be a bit much for her though. She can explain in more detail later if you want, when she wants to find out what the deal is with you and your mother, but for now that can all wait.

>>1589916
Tehnically it can be done anywhere, but she thinks it probably for the best to gather everyone left here, figure out the situation better and determine everyone's opinions and allegiances, and then head back to Arba's town so that all four groups are combined, before going through the process.

>>1589885
Peshde is fine, she just flew away when the trap was sprung and waited up in one of the giant trees. At a distance she saw some of what happened, and congratulates you on your victory she supposes. At the very least she doesn't regret going with you, since she can't imagine a much safer group to be with, other than the elves perhaps.

When you return with Peshde though, you encounter a bit of strife taking place. Nearly coming to blows, there seems to be several ongoing arguments between anyone with a religious care, or position (like priest or shaman) about what transpired during the battle. They're all arguing about their own religious interpretations, which they at least are all in unison about it being divine in nature, over what can only be guessed at as a miracle, your victory.
>>
>>1589986
>Be flustered
Lets help her getting everyone ready for travel then
Search for any coaches or something to transport the wounded in
Once every thing is set we can all leave back to Arba's
>>
>>1590016
Well you can work around that effort in mind but it's not something you'd manage right away. The aftermath, of sorting everything out here with everyone, will probably take a few days. For everyone to heal up, to figure out the stance everyone has, to pack everything up and then to move.

Also there is a concern about the big orc's remaining group. He came here with mostly his warriors and the like. Most non-combatants though were left back at his settlement though, and any survivors or those whom successfully retreated would return there. Rav doesn't think it to be a serious threat, but she could see it remaining as a persistent thorn in your sides. Your call if you want to go after them and end it once and for all, or just accept this victory and focus on gathering all the strength that has been won.
>>
>>1590016
>Search for any coaches or something to transport the wounded in

Is there any wounded? Even with out potion.

>Once every thing is set we can all leave back to Arba's

Without even a night of rest?

Also, she wants to gather and deal with things here first:
>>1589986

>Or rather, she doesn't even care about that, but if only it wouldn't diminish the reputation a little.

>>
>>1590061
>It's not our call Rav, she's the leader here

I would suggest dealing with them, and taking the chance to add any greenie group that we find, and she is kind of giving us the choice, so...

Well, we would have to rest some days anyway.
>>
>>1590064

>>
>>1590082

>>
>>1590061
>>1590071
She would rather consolidate first, but she's asking you because she trusts your wisdom. Even if she's literally in charge, she'd always like your opinion since it was your guidance that got you all to this point, since first meeting.

Either way you give her a kiss and stumbling over your words ask if there's maybe something that could be done instead? With a sly smile she says she can think of something, later tonight.

Though, probably it will change plans if you're going to press an effort to seek out and deal with the remainder of the big orc's tribe. Some sort of plan might be needed, and even a split up of the overall group, since obviously you're not going to move as one consolidated group here, to go after the remaining one. Something like, where the non-combatants return to Arba's town, with sufficient guards, and you and a fighting force go after the last enemies? Or something like that, whatever idea you can come up with.
>>
>>1590165
Consolidation First then
Send some messengers with the news, there's a new chieftess and Khanum, the false chief has been defeated, those who wish to join can do so and those too patriotic to the chief can find another place to flee to
>>
>>1590170
>Khanum

I think that was just the heat of the moment. But I am not sure if she can actially become one, though I wouldn't be surpiced.

Anyway, what about sending the non-fighting greenies with enough guards (though I asume that all grenies know how to defend themselves to an extent) back to Arba, with a messager ahead to tell them of our victory, or how the big orc died and the other leader joined us, amd how we went to settle things with the remaining orcs.

Also, let's talk with the priest and shamans, what do they think that happened?
>>
>>1590170
>>1590182
You might be able to manage a halfway point, where you send some armed persons back with the non-combatants. In fact, this seems as good a chance as any to send the newly allied lesser leader back with them (since most are his people) to meet Arba and get used to one giant greenie settlement. Meanwhile, you and some combatants hunt down the last remainders of the fourth group. Only, Rav wanted to return to the town and undergo the process of declaring herself chieftess and form a proper tribe, and from there then start solving problems. You can make a good case to her though, that she doesn't want her rule to begin with any outstanding issues, like this remnant fourth group.

For now though you're naturally curious about what took place with the combat and the victory, and figure talking with the religious folks might answer some questions. It just convolutes everything though, as you can find the highest authority present in and around the fort on each race's faith, a high priest, a respected shaman and an actual goblin theologian. None of them however, can agree on the matter and are having heated debates about it. It seems each race believes you were blessed by a god of their own faith, and none of them any fertility deity if you were wondering. The orcs believe you gained the favor of their orcish war god, the goblins believe you drew the attention of their goblin goddess of luck, and the trolls believe you received the blessing of their troll god of triumph. They can sort of agree that whatever it was, it was probably only one deity whom gave their favor, but no one can agree on which god it was.
>>
>>1590349
Send the noncombants with enough guards away then and prepare to March on the other town if that's what she wants
>>
>>1590349
And ask the religious folk which God is related to red
>>
>>1590584
>Send the noncombants with enough guards away then

I am sure that is in case if we go for the remaining orcs, but
>prepare to March on the other town if that's what she wants
indicates you want to do otherwise.
>>
>>1590598
The opposing town
The big orc town
>>
>>1590590
Red would most strongly indicate the orc god of war, but they can roughly agree that color doesn't mean certainty. They're gods, so something as simple as color, they can utilize whatever they want.

>>1590584
>>1590598
Very well then, you speak with Rav on your idea and agreeing with it, she says she'll start getting the preparations done then. The newly allied leader with lead his group back with some support, while you head on with a combat force to deal with the remainder of the fourth group. From here it will take about another three days, but you can probably set out the day after tomorrow, since tomorrow is going to be a lot of deliberation on where folks stand.

In the meantime then, it's late afternoon, evening before long. Most everyone who needs it has been healed up, and with much thanks and respect, many folks are seeking to give you gifts and services as thanks. Various goods, pillaged loot, trinkets and armaments, things of that nature. Even an offering of a war bride or two, and an offer of a roll in the hay so to speak by one fighter you helped as thanks.

You've got awhile to yourself though before dinnertime which you understand will be a victory feast so that will occupy your time and attention. Until then though, anything you're interested in doing?
>>
>>1590882
Hang with Rav if she isn't too busy
Or if she is too busy just sit back somewhere relatively quiet and wait for the feast to happen
Just relax now that we have that chance
Think about how much better this is compared to life with the castle
>>
>>1590882
>Even an offering of a war bride or two, and an offer of a roll in the hay so to speak by one fighter you helped as thanks.

I am sure Rav wouldn't aprobe of that, so no.

I don't know about the war brides, but maybe accepting would be too many for us at the moment.

So, >>1590897 seconding.

Also, walk around the town? See if you can help in something, see how things are around? Nothing to pressing, just relax while doing so.
>>
>>1590913
She probably wouldn't care that much to be honest, same as if you had on your own, taken a war bride.

But anyway, for now you busy yourself just about town. Rav isn't extremely busy, but you think she might like a chance to do things on her own, so people can get the feel for her as a ruler. So trying to find something to do yourself, at least one thing for sure as several folks come to you asking to kiss their babies or things of that nature, thinking you a blessed individual. Of particular interest perhaps to you though, is the matter of what to be done with the members of the big orc's group whom were left behind or captured. There's a fair few gathered to a couple locations, and there's ongoing debate about what to do with them. Some want to kill them to make an example, some want to subject them to servitude or comfort work after defeat, while others think forgiving them is good now that Rav seeks greenie unity. Your opinion would hold sway though since you did win them this battle at least.

Even if you wish to stay impartial though, two persons of definite interest are among the prisoners that you should probably do something about. One is the big orc's cousin and the other is a daughter of his. Both were obviously close to him, and so were separated specifically until something can be decided on what's to be done with them.
>>
>>1590966
They'll have to earn back their place, put them to work for a few weeks/months before forgiving them whatever the orcs/Rav think fitting

And approach them, see if they're injured and ask Rav what should we do with them? We could put them to work, another maid and trainer would do us good
If she's okay with that
>>
>>1590966
They fought defending that they believed in and their leader, even if he standed against our unity.

Some resentments may prevail from the 2 sides, but we must not forget why we fought for. More than enough people have died because of this. So I say that we forgive them, though they should obviously help. (Though by helping I mean pulling their wheight.)

Obviously, keep an eye on them, and make sure they don't escape to the remaining group or try to revolt.

What do you choce, anons?

Also, I am not sure about what to do with the daughter and cousin, probably will do once we deal with the remaining orcs. Maybe offer one leadership of their group if they join us? I would like to know their opinion of us first. So, talk with them? See what they offer/plan/want to do?
>>
>>1591008
>We could put them to work, another maid and trainer would do us good
>If she's okay with that

Eh, I don't want that. That would be just weird.

Maybe we could make the cousin into the leader of their people? Or the daughter? Difficult to know if we know nothing of them.

I am fine with a little of work first, though.
>>
>>1591016
Lets ask Rav what should we do with them then
After talking with them too
>>
>>1591008
>>1591012
Well it's a matter Rav would expect you to be able to handle on your own. You can't just go asking after her for everything.

As for the captives themselves, a fair few are injured and were only afforded mundane care, so you expect that some will die of their injuries. You could afford them magical healing with the bottle though.

On the topic of the two relatives of the big orc, you can talk with them. His cousin is a pretty tough looking guy and still loyal, he could cause trouble if just let go or freed unsupervised, maybe in time and with work though he might accept the situation. Especially so, if you manage to defeat the remaining group. As for the daughter, she's not a combatant and was just brought along to help out with things like organizing the cooking and cleaning, and other logistics of the warband. She's upset about her father but is cooperative in the face of assumed death.
>>
>>1591062
Just enough for them not to die bur prioritize friendlies if there still are any

And in that case just put them to work in making houses and the wall for a month then allow them back in inside the houses they built

Keep the cousin under capture tho, and give the daughter the same deal as the others unless she has can come to up with something else
>>
>>1591062
>Well it's a matter Rav would expect you to be able to handle on your own. You can't just go asking after her for everything.

No problem.

>>1591062
>You could afford them magical healing with the bottle though.

Do so, fits with the whole orc unity theme.

>His cousin is a pretty tough looking guy and still loyal.

Well, keep an eye on hin until then, then. We will show him that we can unite the orcs despite being human.

>And in that case just put them to work in making houses and the wall for a month then allow them back in inside the houses they built

Aren't we going to other lands for conquest, though? And aren't we leaving this city?

We still, having houses and defences while we prepare is good, so if you mean that I have no problem.

>>1591079
>Keep the cousin under capture tho, and give the daughter the same deal as the others unless she has can come to up with something else

So we put the 2 relatives under vigilance/capture till we deal with the remaining group? I am ok with that.
>>
>>1591079
Well over the previous hours you'd seen to no one dying who could be saved, of your own people, so you wouldn't be putting captives before allies.

As for the big orc's daughter, she offers maybe to help you in dealing with the remaining group? If you promise her to be merciful to them, since her other family is back there, still, her mother and such.

>>1591093
>>1591079
Well it's a starter for labor to put them through to earn a pardon. It's not like upon returning to Arba's town, you're going to set out for invading the very next day.

So to deal with the captives you help who you can with magical healing, and then have the two relatives of the big orc put on watch. That occupies the rest of your time, at least enough that you notice people heading past and gathering elsewhere excitedly. From what you understand the victory feast is being set up so you might want to head over and see what's what.
>>
>>1591231
>If you promise her to be merciful to them, since her other family is back there, still, her mother and such.

>>1591231
>From what you understand the victory feast is being set up so you might want to head over and see what's what.

>>
>>1591231
Yes
Go in and sit next to Rav

Wait
What?
She helps us deal with the other group and we show mercy, then what?
What does she expect back or what do we gain from her?
What we're getting from the other orcs is expanding and housing for them
>>
>>1591252
>>1591246
Well she knows that if you're going to the remaining group, then if you defeat them you'll likely bring them into the fold, like you did with the group here. She'll help you out by showing you the way and how best to get at it, she just wants you to be merciful with the group when you defeat and incorporate them.

At rate you go to the feast being set up, many gathered tables, many made from scrap wood from the battle, and one great long one. An actual proper table, which you expect the most important folks to sit at. You were going to sit by Rav of course but she would rather you sit at the opposite long end, each of you at the head. She wouldn't mind you sitting beside of course, but she thinks it would give a better message to those there, and also folks can converse with and congratulate you, and get to know you better without you hanging onto her arm basically.

If you want it though, she's fine with wherever you'd like to sit.

>>
>>1591361
Well
She wants an heir and we turned out exactly the opposite of what she wanted, we've shown we're capable enough to strike out on our own so she shouldn't worry about us, plus if she wants a worthy heir it's should be from her own blood, pure blood and all of that Like the old monarchies irl it would have her strength and possibly our intelligence. Both of both worlds.

Take what she learned from raising us and use it on the next one, do exactly the opposite she did with us and let the kid live a normal life with normal friends and never try to force him into stuff.

>>1591296
You sit at the other end of the biggest table, a good distance from Rav. You'd rather you were closer to her, but if this is better for things then so bet it. You soon find out at least one reason against it though, with the rowdy drinking going on, if you were in the middle of it all you'd likely get a black eye if not die from alcohol poisoning. It's also kinder on Peshde's senses whom sits with you.

That is to say, everyone who's anyone is drinking, but it's much heavier on Rav's end where person after person come to congratulate her and ask for a toast to speak and such.

You by contrast get almost as many people coming to congratulate you, but most have the good sense or are sober enough to remember you are human and so probably couldn't take nearly as much booze. You do get a few smarter types though who come to gather around you, and religious types, replacing anyone whom leaves your end on their own. The former, are the closest thing to intellectuals of the newly allied group, from folks who are half-greenie and half-some other race, to even some non-greenie residents who live with them, like an elven scholar fellow, a human traveler and explorer, a birdfolk writer, and a kobold skald. They each have their own reasons and stories for being here, as do the half-greenies and just smarter (though fewest) full-greenies.

The latter group are the religious folk, whom want to know about you and ask you things, get to know you better. Why it is, that you drew the attention of some god today, what sort of fate you could have to warrant that? These are all almost entirely greenies, save for one elven priest here like the other non-greenies.

I'm with light green ID player, where the fuck did this come from?

I suppose under extremely specific circumstances, and if literally 100% player unity was reached on the matter? I would extremely reluctantly, but possibly consider such a course of action?

It's just such an outlandish decision which would require extremely particular requirements, that I think it would just be a waste of effort? If you're so set on getting the queen off your back, why not instead just get her a grandchild replacement she'd be content with to take in your place, if you simply want to just replace yourself? She's still young enough that if the main character were to have a child today, the queen is still within the age that it could be her own child naturally. Or on the other end of the spectrum, if you're so eager to be rid of her entirely, why not either just leave this continent behind and maybe fake your death too, or kill her instead? Either one, if you hate her so much, would get her off your back.

Basically, what you're asking I suppose is technically possible, and if total player unison wanted it I'd begrudgingly allow it? But the amount of effort it would take to line up all those specific requirements just right for it to happen, there would be infinitely easier ways to get her off your case for good if that's all you care about.

Eh, can we answer that all we did was believe in our words? We wanted to unite the orcs, goblings, and trolls, help them become stronger.

If anything, saying that should raise our rep a lot.

Also, is there a way of knowing if it was a blessing or a one time thing (miracle)? And can the shamans/priests do tests or something to see what god or goddess was the one? Or if it was us and/or Rav?
>>
>>1592320
That's a good point, you can roll if you like to see how your response goes over. It can't hurt you in this case, just how much better it might be.

If your words are true though and you believed in what you were doing was for the good of the greenies, then that at least makes sense why you'd attract the attention of a greenie god. They just can't figure out why a human would manage such a miracle.

There are definitely ways they can know for sure, each having their own different ideas and tests. It would just be up to you, if you want, to undergo them.
>>
>>1592320
Also, ask them about their gods/goddess?

What would it mean to be blessed with the goblin goddess of luck, troll god of triumph or orcish war god?

>would require extreme particular requirement
Isn't that the case with every single course of action though? This one is just more easy in my eyes, I don't think she'll allow a grandchild if she doesn't like the girl right? That's what happened with our friends and crushes? For a grandchild we would need to wait 9 months and the consent of the mother, leaving the continent requires traveling too much android risking a lot with bandits and such, the cover of faking our death could be easily blown out and killing her is just much trouble.
Those are too complicated, here we just go in, proposition, do it and leave
It's a quick permanent solution, at least that's how I see it

And if she's still in having kids age what's stopping her? We've proven we're too troublesome and not happy with life in the castle, she's better off trying again

That's just my take on things

Do we hate her for giving her a child? Wouldn't we love her enough to actually care for the trouble we cause and consider giving her another child so she stops worrying about us?

Well it's not like you gain a unanimous support for you as their uniter and king, but you gain a deep respect from all those gathered at the feast, within hearing distance or within the range of spread of gossip. To those getting to know you personally at least, or hearing about you from a friend or other, you've managed to dispel any doubts that you could be a schemer or untrue to your goals for the greenies.

As for the matter of the blessing, there are different tests that could be done to hopefully prove it, yes. Each priest or shaman of each god has their own way, ranging from getting in a fight to winning a game with the odds against you, things which would test the aspect of the god in question. To be blessed by those different gods could mean different things, like if you were blessed by the war god then it would explain why you were able to fight, charge, and lead your forces to victory. To be blessed by the goblin goddess of luck, would explain why you were able to snatch victory from the very jaws of defeat and turn what should have been a brutal defeat into a heroic victory. And to be blessed by the troll god of triumph, would explain this as just another step down your own path to ultimate victory. Different interpretations of the same result; success.

Interestingly, none of them are of a mind that it could have anything to do with any fertility god, so that's an odd detail that you could bring up.
>>
>>1592377
>Interestingly, none of them are of a mind that it could have anything to do with any fertility god, so that's an odd detail that you could bring up.

How dangerous, if at all, would the word of that spreading be?
>>
>>1592369
So just find a girl she likes, infinitely easier than trying to convince her of this. Even just looking at any potential women you currently already know, Ragna for example is probably a woman she'd approve of. Human, a strong capable warrior and individual, and carrying some powerful violence gene that could pass to any children? Automatically that's easier than convincing the queen for something.

And all the other options would in every way be easier than what you have in mind, even killing her. Going by your logic of returning, convincing her of this situation and then with her guard down, perhaps trying to kill her. Because this wouldn't at all be like every other action.

As for her own reasons for not just having a replacement kid, she probably has her own mix of misgivings like she had for a partner for you over the years. Chief among them finding a man she'd be interested in that for, though you know her biggest reason of all was that she put all her bets solely on you. You're her pride and joy and her hopes and dreams rest on you, which is why she doesn't, and perhaps can't just replace you. At least not as easy as that. And maybe she has her own other reasons.

As for the last bit, I'm not sure how to respond since I don't follow exactly what you're suggesting. In the same way as you may love her enough to care about the hurt you cause her, you also love her enough to not consider something as debauched as you have in mind.
>>
>>1592377
Just tell them of our blessing, we are among friendlies and under Rav's good graces and arms

>>
>>1592396
Wat, Ragna?
Even knowing the berserker trait? Is Mom dumb? That's going to be hard af to control
But I don't want to kill her honestly , she's still Mom, we'll just have to convince her to get another kid via another man or let us give her that kid
>>
>>1592396
>>1592422
>I don't wanna kill her honestly, she's still Mom
Yeah
And it's clear that all her bets were wrong seeing how we've turned out, she's better off trying again because we're not coming back permanently after this orc bussines.
>>
>>1592434
Shit, come back later after we establish our nation. Let the poor woman see her grandkids.
>>
>>1592387
It may be dangerous if it was something you'd embraced. Like if you became a fertility prophet yourself and wandered the world spreading faith and sharing the blessing. In that case, you'd probably gain such a reputation as to draw negative attention. If it's just something that is a detail about you though and you don't really act on it, then word might spread around but it probably wouldn't generate much buzz beyond some curiosity and passing interest/fancy. You're not going to draw the attention of some evil cult looking to use you for nefarious purposes, or some poorly ruler who can't have a child, but you might get the occasional person from among your own people seeking help or favor of the blessing. Probably in the same vein as one might seek out a priest for divine help on something occasionally.

>>1592408
>>1592399
You decide, at least among the folks gathered to you, mainly the religious ones, to share the detail that you've been blessed before and by some completely different god. Leaving out the explicit details, you relate the account of you drawing some fertility god's blessing by your your little intimate exploits with both Ruta and Gwen, and things like both the giant tree and the divine tree.

Not all of them listening are on the same page, but those who are, seem quite shocked or dumbstruck. It's the elven priest who finally speaks up, saying it's rare enough for a mortal to draw the attention of one god for one miracle. But drawing the attention of multiple, and for multiple miracles? That's practically unheard of, in the realm of actual legends and heroes. They discuss this a lot, among themselves, but if it's true then they're very curious what it is about you that has the potential to draw divine attention like that. Maybe it really is just a one in a million chance, but if it isn't, then they believe your fate must be complicated. Certainly, having the potential to draw both positive and negative attention, they think until perhaps you know better that it may be best if you don't go singing from the rooftops about this news.
>>
>>1592440
>they think until perhaps you know better that it may be best if you don't go singing from the rooftops about this news.

Agree.

And for now, enjoy the feast.

Converse with people, eat food, drink (stay sover enough to think straigth and don't be too affected).

Basically, do what you would do in a feast.

Oh, and see how Rav is doing. Nothing special, just soare a glance (and she is litteraly in front of you)
>>
>>1592477

>>
>>1592422
I was just giving Ragna as an example of a lady you already know without having to look around, whom the queen would approve of. And the berserker genes? You kidding? She'd love that.

But that's just an example, again, of a lady you at present know whom it could work with possibly. If you were to look around you could probably find someone the queen would think is just perfect.

>>1592434
>And it's clear that all her bets were wrong seeing how we've turned out,

If anything the exact opposite is true. Left to your own devices with no prior experience yourself, in just a few months you've basically united the orcs and may soon go conquering entire nations. All signs point to the queen raising you and you turning out exactly how she would want, only her wishes were that you'd inherit and control/lead her own power rather than creating your own.

So think again, is there anyone better for her to have placed all her bets on, than her own son capable of the feats you've managed?
>>
>>1592482
Oh shit, yeah
We're still not going home until she either dies of old age or stops being so manipulative.
I'm guessing she's going to stop after seeing what we did?
>>
>>1592487
>I'm guessing she's going to stop after seeing what we did?

You wouldn't expect her to ever stop, but there's a good case to be made for her not disowning you if you just keep doing what you're doing. Maybe eventually she dies and passes her reign to you? And it would just be adding her small (by comparison) power to yours?

Again, she'll always try to get you back since she knows she knows best, but she wouldn't disinherit you if you on your own happened to approach, match, or eclipse her own achievements.
>>
>>1592482
Would mom approve of Rav? Would Ragna accept having our kid then sending it to Mom? Maybe her too? In exchange to just let is be free
>>
>>1592495
>Rav

No, no orcs have her approval!

>Would Ragna accept having our kid then sending it to Mom? Maybe her too?

You have no way of knowing that, it would be something to find out, not guess at.

>>1592480
>>1592477
So you thank the religious folks there for their help and opinions, and overtime try to change the subject back to more lively matters. No one is in disagreement with that, and before long you're all doing your own part of the festivities of the feast.

You try to keep it under wraps, remembering your last fiasco with the drinking game between you and Zela, Ragna and Nime. Looking over from time to time though you notice Rav has just been feasting to her hearts content the whole time, celebrating with all whom seek and congratulate her, and she's dreadfully drunk because of it. You don't expect the feast to last all night, so by the end you might need to get some help and carry her to proper accommodations if she passes out or can't on her own.

Well if you wanted to do anything else you can, but otherwise you can just ride things out till the feast dies down on its own.

At the very least you ask Peshde about herself and how she's doing. She says she's keeping up at least, or trying to, and is happy for you. She doesn't want to distract you on your night of victory though, from all those whom are interested in meeting and greeting you.

>>1592524
None of them are present.

>>1592548
Why do you want to torment yourself lol?

Either way, maybe it's the alcohol or the time apart, but while waiting for things to die down your mind starts to wander. You think about your experiences with Rav, those kisses earlier and some plans she had for tonight. Hoo boy, that's something to look forward to, especially if you may well marry this woman.

Once the feast dies down though, as you'd expected, Rav is just wasted and passed out in the table while even others still continue around her and she just snores with her face on the table in a puddle of booze or drool. You think it for the best to get her someplace better, and with the help of some of your new friends you help up poor Rav and carry her shambling off to someplace better to sleep, with a din of cheers and goodnights behind you. Eventually the newly allied leader notices you, and in a nice show of gratitude, says you can have his quarters in the fort for the rest of the time you're all here, before departing. He has someone show the way, and eventually some ten minutes later you reach the room. Pretty nice all things considered, a cozy room in one of the higher areas of the mostly wooden fort, overlooking much of the area.

You set Rav down and tell her to wait while you get her some water or something and maybe help her out of her messy clothes. By the time you return though she's already fallen over in bed, passed out asleep again. Some of the folks whom helped you up here ask then if you don't mind, if they stay a little while in the other room. They were having some interesting conversations and ask you to join them if you like. They're just interested to see what the leader's room is like, and it's a nice change to get away form the feast for maybe half an hour before heading to sleep themselves.
>>

You figure no harm in joining them, but while sitting with them in the adjoining... well, a living room if you had to guess, your mind starts to wander again. You'd been fantasizing about Rav and how you might spend some intimate time together at some point. After seeing her passed out on the table, and during helping her, hearing her loudly belch a few times from all the drinking, your mind isn't too keen to return to those thoughts just yet. So it wanders still, and you're a little drunk yourself, but of all things it settles on Nime. Maybe not so strange as only a couple days prior you saw her naked as the day she was born thanks to strip poker, and your thoughts wander to her body. Some nice, soft memories of it, but really though

>Dat ass

And if not perfect enough, that little tufty tail to adorn it on top, like a cherry on a cream topped desert. Hoo boy, like your thoughts about Rav, that too is getting your blood going. Maybe better just to let those feelings settle down, no need to torment yourself!

Well you try not to spring a leak in your pants so to speak, and just listen to the few folks conversing. One though seems still interested in talking to you though, and interested in you it would seem. A Darfellan you learn from her, which you right away ask because of her very unique appearance, tall and fit, two-tone black and white, sleek skin and seemingly aquatic you'd guess with appropriate features like webbed hands and feet. While trying not to let on what's going on between you two, you figure out where this might go down. She laughs at the idea of a bathroom quickie when this place probably doesn't even have one and says this room is fine, just give it a bit. So you sit together in anticipation, feeling a little bad about Rav but you don't think she'd mind too much. After some tens of minutes and the checking in of a servant, the other folks sitting with you both figure that's their cue to leave and will continue things elsewhere. They say their goodnights and wish both you and Rav well again, and soon enough it's just you and the big orca-like lady. You'd followed to the door to see the others off, but with the door shut you feel her presence behind you as she brings her arms around you. Turning to meet her, she says she thought they'd never leave and lowers some to give you a kiss. She's big so the size difference is a tad awkward, but no more than with Rav or Arba.

Pinning you against the door a little, she's in a position to control the pace but you're not so easily pushed around and give it your all in return. She probably wanted to take things slow so when she pulls back, she's visibly surprised with a toothy grin and an excited look. Her breathing heavier now, she seems to quickly consider something, before loosening her shirt and taking it off to toss it aside. You're met with the impressive sight of her powerful torso bare, the stark black and white color contrast a distinct but alluring sight nonetheless. She draws close to continue kissing as she brings your hands to her body, a strangely smooth and soft sensation but firm all the while, and she too starts to feel you up and goes for your pants. Probably what she wanted to be something light and easy which would get you going and then maybe move to an easier spot in the room, has turned unexpectedly passionate and happening right here against the door.

Definitely she didn't expect it, as your feeling her up gives increasing breaks in the kissing for gasps and vocalizations from her, till finally she has to stifle an actual moan and takes a deep breath, needing to rest her head down on yours for a second as she leans against the door for support of her quivering frame. You can feel her heavy breathing, her powerful frame weak (if only unexpectedly, for a moment) to your touch, as she looks around and back to the bedroom embarrassed. She doesn't want to bother your friend Rav but says if you continue with her like this she won't be able to help it, maybe it wouldn't hurt to duck out together for a little bit? Even just another room close by, ideally one with a bed. Or even just a storage room, or a closet, she doesn't really care anymore. Just someplace you don't have to worry about making noise together.
>>
>>1593049
Yeah, let's find other room with bed in it
>>
>>1593077
You agree to find another room, so exiting this one quietly together, with one arm across her chest she leads you through the corridor of the upper area of the fort. Checking each room as you go along together, you find one a little ways down where some guy passed out trying to work the door as a pull when it's a push. And to be honest, the construction here isn't that great to begin with so it's not even a sound or secure door. He's out though so you don't want to bother him, and stepping over together you enter into the room.

Small, but a bed there is and some simple other furniture. No light but the window to the outside provides some soft glow from the rest of the fort and camp below, some celebrations still going on. In the dark, even as your eyes adjust you'd not be able to make out the woman in black, if it weren't for the portions of her body where the skin is in white contrast. Looking at you as you both lean back against the door, having checked over the room, she asks how you want to do this then? Before she'd thought to lead the pace, but she knows now that you've got some experience to you. You'll have to remember to thank Arba for showing you the ropes better, next time you see her. For now though, you've got the room to yourselves.

>25, 25

Shoulder to shoulder in the dim light then, you continue where you left off with her, back to making out and getting to know one another with your mouths and hands. Doing so while moving over to the bed and shedding your clothes in the process, she bumps against the frame and you help her from losing her balance, both of you sharing a little laugh. Taking that as the signal then, she lowers and lays back in the bed, and after getting comfy invites you in. Just standing beside the bed, you take a moment to marvel at the sight of her sleek and powerful body before you and think that you may well be blessed by the goblin goddess of luck, before joining her.

Climbing over her bigger body, you resume with the making out but now incorporate foreplay, feeling up all the places you couldn't before. She also takes an active role and does what she can to make you feel good, get you going. An interesting experience to have a partner on the same wavelength for this as you, and it doesn't end when you've both given each other with your hands and mouths and finally join together as one, losing sight of of your little prince in the pitch black of her two tone flesh; white in some places and black where you meet. Her welcoming body feels good for you as yours does for her, and you both get into the act together, with the same enthusiasm. Compared with your past lovers, this one is just as involved as you are in all the right ways, and before long you're really going at it. The both of you moving into and against one another with the same vigor and using your whole bodies, not just the hips, it's a good thing you sought a different room. The passion shared between you isn't something that can be kept quiet, as even the poor bed frame joins the two of you in letting the neighboring rooms know what making love really sounds like.
>>

In sync as you are, it isn't over quickly either and together you probably wake up or keep from sleeping more than a few unlucky greenies to have had a room near to such fierce, connected lovers. All good things have to come to an end though, and eventually let one another know that time is fast approaching, but even without saying you both know you want to reach it together. So amping up the passion an intensity for the final stretch to the finish, you both (loudly) drive each other over the edge, clinging together as your bodies convulse together as one in that shared ecstasy. You rock against one another in those moments of pure physical bliss, holding onto each other and sharing a deep kiss, doing all you can so that you don't lose yourselves completely. By the time the sensation starts to slowly fade, your bodies gradually ease up against and into one another. Going from a tensing mass of muscle and passion of one joined beast, to a lightly quivering mess of flesh and exhaustion soaking in afterglow as spent lovers. Drawing support from each other as you lie together in the other's arms (and legs), panting heavily to catch your breaths. In the dim light you can make out even the black of her body by the glistening sweat across it, curious for a moment if it might only be yours and wondering if aquatic folks can or not. You don't have long to ponder it though, as you meet face to face, met with a supremely contented soft, and tired smile. You try to thank her and tell her how amazing it was, but she cuts you off by continuing kissing from where you left off, sharing a more tender experience in contrast with the intense time you just spent and shared. Some light, soft intimacy and feeling each others' bodies in the fading euphoria, an expression of love and loving one another as a sweet little end note to your shared passion.

As much as your heart may yearn to stay here with her, you feel responsible to be there for Rav. You seek to put your new lover to sleep then, but it becomes a chore when she'd rather do all those things with you and stay together with you. Try as you might, you put up a great effort and even share an emotional bond from the closeness shared and attempts to get her to sleep.

Unfortunately though you had an extremely strenuous day, and feasted a good amount yourself. Try as you might, after all the energy spent through the day, and now this romp with the Darfellan woman, your attempts to soothe her off to sleep have a greater effect on you than her, and you drift off in her arms despite your struggle against such a thing. It can't be that bad though, she's so tender and her body is so comforting, maybe just a little nap...

---

You awaken some unknown time later to see it's still dark out the window, probably early morning you'd guess. The feeling is a pleasant one with your face laid against her chest as it rises and falls with her breathing, and you feel her hands on you as you'd been sleeping atop her, one hand in your hair stroking it and the other just gently feeling along your back. She may have slept at some point as well, but at that moment is awake, as she'd been looking out the window and thinking probably while gently caressing your body against hers. When she notices you awake though, she softly asks in a whisper how you're doing and how you slept?

Admittedly the sleep was good, but you've got a headache and feeling less than stellar from the feast.

>100

Feeling at her mercy while hugged against her body by her strong arms, you panic but try not to show it, and ask her what she means by doing this? If she doesn't want you to go, maybe she can get those things after all? Hoping to give some weight to your words, you tell her she doesn't have to worry if there's any problem, and that she can trust you for things to be alright. To top this off, you stop trying to resist and instead snuggle willingly against her powerful body, caressing her with your hands and even her face as you look up to her with the biggest, trusting eyes you can and follow up with a heartfelt kiss.

In that moment, a powerful force descends on the room, as if trying to push the two of you even closer together in both body and spirit as a very faint glow overtakes you. Unsure of what's happening you just hold onto one another for support, and your kiss is only broken by the sensation of your hearts feeling like they might well explode with emotions, and you both gasp in a mix of comfort and pain from it. For however short a time, it's like you both feel one another's feelings and emotions, perhaps even thoughts, and come to understand one another in a way beyond natural. It's very scary, for both of you, but strangely calming by that feeling of unified serenity. Eventually the sensation does come to fade and the pressure lifts as the soft glow fades, but you still remain together, struggling for breath and trying to find comfort in one another against the confusion and fear.
>>
>>1594051

Finally able to look to one another again, it's like you know what the other wants to do, wants to say, that you don't even need to ask what that was or what happened, because you both realize neither one knows. Instead you both speak at the same time about different things for the first time, but you let her go first. Tears well in her eyes as she struggles but finally says she was here to subdue you. It's clearly painful for her to admit, but she's a bounty hunter working for the evil queen and had tracked you here with her partners. Seeing you in your victory and surrounded by friendly forces though, but knowing a bit about your reputation, she decided she could get close to you by pretending to be interested in you, just an adventurer passing by and interested in a one night stand with the victorious leader. She wasn't actually going to go that far and once she got you alone she was going to attack and subdue you, but you turned out to know how to please a girl to her surprise, so she didn't mind actually going that far with you. After she'd just continue with the plan, and as you saw when trying to leave, she was going to subdue you.

But having shared that experience together, and your earnest trust and feelings for her, she can't do something like that. Crying more about the truth now, she kisses you repeatedly between sobbing and apologizing and caresses you, holds you close as much as she can just to feel you against her, feel your bodies together, and confessing how much she loves you. How she's never felt this way about anyone before. If anything, the last thing she would want to do now is betray or hurt you, anymore than she already has. She just holds onto you and loves you as much as she can, crying and trying to express how sorry she is, clearly and deeply afraid of how you will react. Negatively, perhaps.

This may have worked, except there's a small problem. That strange experience you shared, of sensing and understanding one another, and made her fall so desperately in love with you?

It's a two way street, you feel near enough the same way about her, as you try to soothe her worries and accept her apology and tell her it's alright, and you cherish her and her body just the same by reciprocating the touching, holding, caressing and kissing. If it weren't for the complicated issues surrounding the two of you, why you'd probably be making love again, the feelings and emotions are strong enough.

Between constant kissing and heavy breathing, you try to figure out what the two of you can do? She suggests maybe giving up on her chasing you, and you could run away together? That sounds like a great idea to you! Just forget everything else, run away and hide together, and live and love each other for the rest of your days. Nothing else matters!

>Roll to resist these supernatural urges.

Well, we will need information first.

Like, maybe we could even atempt diplomacy?

Something like 'Ok, we know who you are and who you work for, but maybe we can work something out? What if you join us?'

At that point anything that out mother offered them would ve meaningless because they no longer have the means of obtaining it, since they are traped. So the choice would be between working for us or being our slaves/having to kill them. And we would give the offer because they would be more useful as fellow warriors than slaves.

The both of you, overtime as logic and reason begin to creep in again and the euphoria of loving one another fades, start to regain your senses. You settle down from the fervent worship of each other, and after catching your breaths and calming down to an appropriate level, you let off one another. Getting off of her, the two of you come to sit side by side on the edge of the bed together, trying to understand what's going on.

She asks you what just happened, what was all of that? For awhile there she felt like a young stupid kid in first time, true love at first sight, and she asks if you felt the same. Yes yes, she says, she feels the same way, but what happens now? You got her to admit the truth so the cat's out of the bag now. Even though you're not both madly in love anymore, you've still feelings towards one another after that amazing experience, so she's got a soft spot for you. She stands by that she doesn't want to just turn on you like her job demands and take you in, and at the same time you realize you can't just simply ask her to join you as if that will just make everything all better and everyone will live happily ever after for it. She respects your position and hopes you respects hers.

This is her job and her livelihood, and her teammates are close, she can't just give up on it to follow her heart on a fling. Definitely not go as far as killing or betraying her team, that's for sure. Besides, she doesn't think she'd fit in with your efforts and what you're trying to do. Like she probably wouldn't mind staying with you, but you've each got your own lives and goals and futures, it's a nice thought together but she doesn't see how it would work.

Her main concern is how to salvage this situation since she and her team spent the time and resources to come here and get you, for the goal of the price on your head. If she doesn't want to turn you over anymore, then they'll be in a bad situation if they end up empty handed from this. Like if it were a matter of money, she could probably accept taking that to her team and they agree to leave you alone, and you part on a warm note.

>>1594550

Still, offer her to join us to the other orc town in case we need asistance? We could pay her, with minor magicsl gear (we have that, right? Don't give her to many, though.) Thinking about how to make this work then, sitting together with her, you have an idea. She and her team can't just join in with your group, but they're bounty hunters, maybe they could just work for you then? Like friends but you pay them!

You don't have a lot to offer, but you're sure Rav can help you scrounge up some money, and you always have magic items to offer. Your plan is, to provide them with a base of operations of sorts, from which they can come and go, while being funded/supplied by you to a reasonable amount, and they maintain their autonomy. Just every once in awhile if you need help they'll provide it, and of course they can come and go to the provided headquarters whenever they please.

This seems like a great setup to her, and enthusiastically she pulls you close for a kiss. Maybe it's not what she had in mind at first but it's something everyone benefits from. You do let her know however, that in the future you may be getting married so what you have between you can't last. Though, until then, you make sure to add in, anything is fair. She says that's alright then, she hadn't imagined this being more than a one night stand so even if it only lasts for a few more weeks or months, that's already more than she could hope for.

Taking your hand in hers then, as you notice the ring which must be a piercing in order to work with her webbed hands, she says that's all that mess out of the way thanks to you, and wonders what you want to do now? You're not feeling to great she recalls, and you wanted something to eat and drink to help carry you over? Then maybe, you can head back to bed together, and get some rest... eventually.

Your way over is a little confusing since you weren't paying as much attention last night, but eventually you find Rav's room. An alarming sight as you enter and find a dead orc smashed through the door to the bedroom with an axe sticking out of his back. Rushing over, through the broken door you see Rav snoring in bed with her other axe snuggled close. You have no idea what happened but if you had to guess, this dead guy tried to wake her up, or maybe tried to kill her? Either way it ended poorly for him, and taking that as good a sign as any, you head back to the borrowed room.

Therein you find your new lady friend sitting in bed munching on some food she managed to scrounge up herself. Happy to see you back, she tells you to lose the pants and join her, see if she can't take care of you, make you feel better. Doing as you're told, you mention not eating in bed from your proper upbringing, but she laughs and lifts up the "mattress" "cover" which is little more than some animal skin, to show a bunch compacted reeds and straw. Even more, she reminds you this is only a temporary bed. Feeling a bit foolish yourself, you just accept the food she shares, and talk a little about how you both came to be here. After you've had a good helping's worth of bread and some other food, over downing water from the jug she asks if you're down for some more fun, or if you just want to be close and go to sleep again. She knows you're not feeling good so says you don't have to worry, she took care of you with everything else so she'll take care of you with this. At the same time though you know you'll regret not sleeping later. Your call though.
>>
>>1596979
>At the same time though you know you'll regret not sleeping later.

Hmm... humping or being functional?

Well, if we can keep going at it until we marry,
>Relax in her embrance.

Also, maybe we should ask her if her race/society has a god/goddess of love (no fertility, but love, or charisma.)

I think I am seeing a pattern here, gods always seem to interact with us whenever we are extremly good at doing something in favour of a race.
>>

As much as you'd like for more fun, you're feeling awful and the more sleep you get the better. Especially since you're setting out tomorrow (or later today) after the remaining enemy group.

She understands completely, and tells you to come here as she pulls you in for more closeness, snuggles and maybe even some light making out. Nothing to vigorous though as the goal is to fall back asleep, which she's pretty helpful with as eventually she settles down, and feeling the heartbeat and breathing of her powerful form against you is very calming. Added along with her absentmindedly singing some song or lullaby she knows softy, and stroking your hair, you fall back asleep in no time.

Before drifting off you did ask her about her, or her people's faith. Unfortunately she's not a priest or anything so couldn't accurately answer any such questions.

---

You awaken probably much later in the day, to actual sunlight, trickling through the canopy far above and shining through the window. As well, the sound of the bustling fort and camp outside, as people are likely making preparations for the day, and eventual departure this night.

This time your new friend is asleep as well, giving you the chance to look her over properly in the actual light for once, while you get some more to eat and drink from the remaining food from the bowl by the bed. Of course you don't want to think of her as just a piece of meat you claimed, but you can't help but feel a little accomplished looking over such a powerful and exotic beauty. Yes, you're glad to came to a friendly agreement, and will be able to spend more time together both as friends and lovers.

For now however, the morning is late and the day awaits. Though, not as if anyone is beating down your door and demanding your presence, or any responsibilities requiring you. Lazing in awhile longer, is possible you suppose.

Lets get to it. We need to take the last remaining orcs.

Supporting.

After that help in what you can.

And ask about the dead orc? (Did somebody pic him up already?)

Also, it probably is time for you to get a bath. At least somewhen today. Even if by a river.
>>
>>1598109
>>1598043
>>1598059
You can learn her name later, for now you don't want to wake her up. So after kissing her on the head once and finding/leaving some more food and drink for her by the bed, you put on some clothes and head out.

First stop is Rav's room where the dead orc is gone but then so is Rav. She had no interrupted sleep so probably got up earlier. You can look around to find her, probably outside organizing things, or you can better prepare for the day, like getting washed up as had been your plan. Or seeking out some religious folks instead? It's coming up to noon so you expect people to be taking lunch within the hour, though you're not that hungry after eating already so you've got time and energy to spare.

First on your mind is Rav, as you go looking for her. Asking around, eventually you're pointed in her direction, and find her smashing the head in of some orc with her axe. Apparently having to do with the one whom broke into her room last night.

She seems not at all hungover though and quite vibrant, probably that orc constitution, and after wiping her brow of sweat she grins when she sees you. When the two of you meet, she headbutts you pretty hard which makes you see white and your ears ring. Quickly apologizing she forgot humans do it differently and asks how best friends give greetings to one another? You think maybe like a high five to handshake, something like that? To make up for the headbutt then, she does that followed by a hug, and asks how the feast went for you then? She doesn't remember much beyond drinking so much towards the end. She also wants to know if you'll be ready then this afternoon to strike out after the remaining group? She doesn't need your help right now, but awhile after lunch probably, she's going to hear pledges and such from all the greenies here, which it might be helpful to you if you were there. After that then, some last planning before the two groups here depart. You and her lot for the remaining enemies, the rest back to Arba's town.
>>
>>1598311
Yeah we can be there
I guess we'll see her until then?

Yo Rav, something crazy happened last night, i screwed a fish girl, i was drunk and thinking about what you said then this fish lady came and try to seduce me while i was talking with some people, next thing I know I'm against the room's door and after that you can guess what happened, I thought it was a dream but when I woke up she was cuddling me, but it turned out she was a bounty hunter mom hired and wanted to bring me in, but we're cool now, i got blessed again and got her to stand down and join us in exchange for some magic items I have and a place to stay at Arba's plus any work we might give them.

This too.

>>1598355
She doesn't mind going with women that offer to us thanks to a great victory, if we keep it to ourselves, and doesn't take time that we could use being with her.

So don't say that. At least not that way.
>>
>>1598377
Just take out the "srewing the fish girl" part, let her know we befriended a useful bounty hunter from mom that can be trusted
>>
>>1598377
>At least not that way.

Something like:
Last night I a deafallen came to me. She was a bounty hunter that wanted to capture me for mom, but I managed to convince her of doing otherwise, I even managed to leave open the posivility of her group working for us.

Making sure that nobody is within hearing distance, or saying that you need to tell her something in private:

When I convinced her, I felt an unnatural influence, that made us trust each other fully, and that is when she told me everything. Do you think it could have been ANOTHER god? One of charisma, trust, or affection?
What is this? The third?
*shrug* Well, you can't say I am not special, can you? I just wanted to let you know. You want me to talk about it to the shamans?

The privated part if the other anons agree.

>>1598442
>>1598438
You talk with Rav then about how everything is alright, and things went fine last night. You do bring up meeting a bounty hunter though and convincing her and possibly her teammates to work with you all. Rav is skeptical and doesn't trust bounty hunters, they're not even as useful as mercenaries which she already looks down on, but if you want to shoulder this responsibility then she'll accept it.

When you speak to her more privately though about the other blessing, she seems concerned but doesn't know what to make of it since she isn't religiously versed. She thinks it a good idea of course to find out about it, talk with someone, but she hopes it's not bad or anything. If that's something you want or need to take care of, then she won't stop you and says you can take as long as you need.
>>
>>1598665
>What's the story with the Orc stuck with an axe in him from last night?
After that let's go get some food before returning to the darfellan and ask the people nearby where would we go to take a bath?
>>
>>1598685
That, you ask her about, she has a little laugh over. She doesn't remember it really, but she thinks it was an assassin, or some guy trying to get frisky with her, otherwise she wouldn't have killed him.

With that then you can take your leave, and get some food on the way though you're not really hungry but could munch a little. You also seek out a bath, for which there are a few options. Most orcs and gobs when they wash, tend just to go to a water source, or share a few buckets or basins. When the time calls for a proper soaking though, they do have giant tubs for washing clothes in which can double as semi-communal baths for like 4-6 people. And for higher privileged folks there's also personal tubs too. Like the one in the guest quarters back at Arba's house, which could fit two people well enough.
>>
>>1598941
Of that list which ones are available here?
>>
>>1598962
They all are, you're still staying in the fort, a proper settlement so they have accommodations comparable to Arba's town for example.

Obviously though the bigger tubs would take longer and probably necessitate other's besides yourself.
>>
>>1598973
Lets bring the food to the girl first, we can sort out the bathing accommodations there
>>
>>1598973
Well, I say we choce either the natural bath or the private one.

Though, before anything,
>>1598221
>Of course, naked cuddle breakfast in bed is best breakfast,
>>
>>1599014
>>1599022
Well there is a personal tub in Rav's room, or you call it her room but it's actually the leader of this group's room. As such you don't expect Rav to come back at all today if that was a concern, and you can always just lock the door if you care.

Either way, you return with some of the food to the room with your new friend, your entry into it causing her to wake up. Startled at first but when she sees you she smiles and seeing the food says you're sweet. You take it over to her while she asks what you've been up to, and you just explain how you figured out what everyone is doing today and also smoothed over your arrangement with the over-leader (Rav). She's happy to hear that, and when you ask her about her team, she says they'll probably wait till evening before checking if something went wrong so she's not short on time.

That seems fair to you, as you lay back in bed with her while she has a late breakfast, quite the appetite though given her size it makes sense. You don't have to eat though, so can snuggle up to her, but regret having put your clothes back on. Considering you're looking to bathe though, it would be such a hassle to strip down again, then have to get them back on to head over to the bath, then strip down again, then get them back on after. In the meantime though, at least, you can talk to her while she eats, and come to realize possible the most important thing of all; introductions. You two never formally met, which you both have a laugh over, and faux-greet one another for the "first" time. Her name as you learn, is Viurapin. She says, it's very nice to meet you.
>>
>>1600148
>Her name as you learn, is Viurapin. She says, it's very nice to meet you.

You could heat it yourself but you can't create water. However it wouldn't be hard to find some servants and ask them to set a bath up, while you spend some close time with Viura between her eating and whatnot, then after take to a bath. She's certainly open to the idea, being aquatic herself, and of the line of work she lives, proper baths like this are a rare thing.

>>1602764
>Because thread is in autosage and doesn't matter anymore right?

Hit the nail on the head. As a fair warning beforehand though, in a few days I'll be leaving for a place for about a week, so don't expect to be able to post or anything. >>1602806
Getting up again for a moment, you exit the room and eventually manage to find a servant and ask for a bath to be heated in the room Rav was staying in. It'll take a little while though, but Viura is already done eating by the time you get back so it gives you time to lay in bed and talk for some time while waiting. It's a chance to better figure out the deal you made together, and while you can't offer much money right now, you can offer up some of the various magic items you pilfered from the queen's castle before escaping.

Within about twenty minutes or so then, a little after noontime, one of the servants wanders around calling for you and knocking on the different doors here to let you know the bath is ready. Fairly convenient since most everyone else will be taking their midday meals. So with the servant gone, Viura gathers up her clothes, without bothering to put them on though and sneakily follows after you. Quick as you can, together you reach Rav's borrowed room and figure to bolt the door just in case. A little searching around but a small washroom attached to the bedroom has the tub inside. Brimming with hot water and little else, the orcs out here don't have much in the way of cleaning products, but there is at least some elven soap (probably stolen from them) and a washrag. Normally the tub might, might be able to fit two orcs very snugly, so you and Viura should have enough room at least not to be uncomfortable (though not really able to stretch out and relax unless you sit/lie in tandem). She lights up upon seeing the filled tub and dropping her clothes, very nearly jumps in but stops herself just short so as not to splash out any water. Quickly still, she rushes to get in as reasonably carefully as she can, and after cherishing the feeling of the hot water and going all loose with a deep sigh, she invites you in.

Majority gets it.

So you strip down, taking care to leave your clothes farther from the tub than she did, and climb in after her. It's awkward trying to find some good positioning, and in the end you both settle for reclining and relaxing together. Sitting tandem, your back to her front, as she leans against her side of the tub and you lean against her. This way you can both stretch your legs out, and you get to feel her chest pressed against your back. Maybe it would have been better for your positions switched, but her size would have made it difficult and uncomfortable, so you settle for being the little spoon.

Even besides the hot water though, it's amazingly comfy because of how soft and sleek her body is in the water, like how it's supposed to be you imagine. You cherish the chance just to feel your body against her and touch her in places, which causes her to laugh at your curiosity, and wrap her arms around you and embrace your body with hers, even nuzzling her face against yours affectionately. Such a wonderful feeling, you can't help but go limp from the sheer comfiness and shudder to the sensation. Eventually after sharing awhile of playful snuggling in the water, you both just end up laying back again and relaxing, for a good while, soaking in the feeling and calmed by the motion of her breathing raising you up and down ever so slightly. It's not till the sounds of some fight breaking out below, do you snap out of it, but a good half hour has passed at least. Before anything else you'd like to get clean, and offer her as well but she's feeling a little lazy and if you'd like to wash her she welcomes it. During this time you can talk as you wish about whatever you want with her. First and foremost about her team, seems logical, but she says you can meet them after this when you're both done here.

Sounds just like an argument which devolved into a brawl, heated words and a cheer or two after.

At any rate you get to scrubbing yourself and then her while talking, specifically your interest in her. Indeed she did come from the sea to the south, at least that's where she was born and grew up. With her brother though they took to going inland sometimes and eventually got work doing jobs relating to that. They went separate paths though and she ended up as hired muscle here and there, till settling in as a violent job as this. Normally she and her team wouldn't ever go this far inland, but they got a good lead and the offer by the queen was immense, that they figured it was worth it.

It's not too bad of a life though, she can't complain. Maybe not as simple and "happy" as when she used to live on the coast with others like her, but this is definitely more exciting and she gets to see interesting places and meet interesting people, giving you a squeeze. She's only been doing it a few years but she has a couple stories like trying to track a wizard who changed his shape to that of a squirrel to lie low for a time, and of trying to take down a coastal raider and his little band. Nothing the likes of legends, but the highlights of her career so far.

While listening to her relate them and having a nice time, you finish washing and scrubbing yourself up, and focus on her. It takes some getting used to for sure though, given how her skin and body is with water.

>>1603066
