I legit thought I was seeing a Keyblade quest.
>>

Critical taunt!

"With how you let her die, I doubt very much you'll find much of it left." You say to the Cleric, noticing a break in his cool "Some friend you were, abandoning your comrade to die when she called for your help. I may be a soul devouring monster, but I stood by my allies when I was alive, even in the face of a far greater evil. What have you ever stood against except small fry monsters?" You continue, the cleric's control wavering.

"You are a failure as a cleric, as an adventurer, and as a human being. You should just surrender now, and make your worthless life of some use."

The cleric charged, his arm ablze in golden fire and his eye exploding with holy rage. "Die you abomination!" He cried, only to recieve a Spirit bolt striaght into his face and sending him to the ground.

[Enemy Reduced by ten due to critical taunt]

[Dex roll total 21, Overhwleming success]

[20 damage dealt!]

The cleric slowly rose from the ground, shaking as he tried to focus himself and get his bearing. He was trying to mumble his Hymms, but seemed to be stumbling on the words.

[Cleric is stunned!]

>Soul Siphon II: Can consume the souls of others. Success depends on state of victim. Range is 10 feet, and can consume souls from those who died up to an hour before.

Failure

The cleric's Will is still strong, and he manages to fight off your attempts. Slapping himself in the face, he let out a sigh and stood strong, bringing his mace up to bear and staring at you.

"Got to admit. You're smarter and tougher than what I'm used to. I guess me and my team got complcent, picking on weak monsters..." he said, glaring at you.

He then turned and began to run, sprinting away towards where the rest of the humans were, onc emore showing his cowardice. For some reason, the cleric's willingness to retreat angers you on a deep level

Currently, the first three rools are considered in a poo. I then roll a dice, a 3 sider, and use the result to pick which of the rolls i use.

However, additional rolls can increase the final result. 19 and 20s increase the final result by two each.

With the ease of swatting a fly, you send a final spirit orb at the cleric, The instant it collides, the cleric is killed, the adventurer falling to the ground dead and his spell fizzing out of existence

You've won, and now two of the three Adventurers lie dead.

You fly up to his body, smelling the soul that still clung to the mortal coil and the physical realm.

His body seemed to be glowing still, and you sensed divine magic at work.

So, You aren't just another mindless undead after all

A voice in your mind speaks, the voice familiar and yet unknowable.

Maybe you are still in there, deep down...Or maybe I'm just foolishly optimistic....

You let the cleric's soul go, looking around you as you seek the sourc eof the voice.

"Who are you? Whose talking?" You say aloud, rapidly searching the area for the presence.

There's silence for a few seconds, making you think the voice disappeared, but then it spoke, sadness in its tone

I guess it was to much to hope for...you remembering me...

A bitter laugh is heard, the cleric's heavenly light disappearing and the soul vanishing to whatever afterlife awaited him.

But you're here...after so long, you're starting to return...You don't know how long I've waited...

You growl, confused and also filled with grief, yet anger at the same time. "Who are you? Do you know who I am? Who I was? Tell me!"

The voice is silent, but you wait none the less. And then, you eel a gentle caress on what could be considered your cheek, its source invisible and yet warm.

...You'll remember me...If the gods have any sense of responsibility, you will remember...but until then, I can only help so much...

You feel a peck of lips on your ghostly head, before the presence began to melt away.

Please...don't lose yourself...Don't leave me again...

A flood of warm enters your mind, and as the presense leaves, you sense something returning. Within your mind, something returns that was lost to you.

The fog clears, just a little more, within your mind. memories come to you, then slip away forgotten. You try to grab them, but they slip through your fingers like sand. It's frustrating, and bombards your soul with sadness and loss as you watch each memory come and go, forgetting what it was you were feeling pain for mere second after seeing it.

"Enough!" You cry out, grabbing hold of a single memory with everything you were. Everything you knew, everything you've done, and everything you were, you threw at the memory to weigh it down, holding onto it with the desperation of a dying man.

This memory stayed...A dace...

You cared for this face, the person that it belonged to. You cared for them deeply...but who were they?

Why did you love them so much?

what happened to them?

The question fill your mind, as the face merely smiled at you, making you feel warm and want to smile back, despite not knowing why...

You're alone now, hovering over the corpse of a man who died trying to do his duty, and a face of a loved one taunting you with its lack of context and meaning.

Once we do this, we can always choose to later reveal ourselves and directly fight the goblins if things are getting grim, and we can boost his attacks in the meantime.

You find her, Jala the Hobgoblin, staring off into the distance with her eyes glowing brightly. She wasn't moving, and she didn't seem to realize you were there. If she did, she at least didn't seem to react.

Her stillness is interrupted by her grabbing her bow, notching an arrow, and firing in one fluid motion. The action made you flinch, but you saw she had fired it off into the distance. There was silence, before she nodded and looked in a new direction, scanning the village.

You consider her words. Being forced to do these deeds, by threat of death, made the whole ordeal seem lifeless. You did it because you had to, not because you wanted to. Weather or not you would have done it yourself is irrelevant.

please don't forget yourself...

You remember the voice, and all the scraps of memories that you held onto like treasures.

"Surviving means I grow stronger...strong enough to find a life to live.... and to remember the one I lost...." you say, the hobgoblin's cold expression breaking to show a bit of interest.

"I already have fragments...I just need to keep going...maybe one day I'll be able to remember my name...or the name of the faces that taunt me..."

The Hobgoblin stares at you for a bit, then nods. "You wanna get back something you lost. That's reason enough to fight." She said, then looked behind you. "Wouldn't you agree Ord?"

With a start, you turn and come face to chest with the massive Hobgoblin Shaman, the man staring at you with a serious expression "Yea, more than enough." He said, seeming to stare at you in interest.

You stare into the eyes of the Hobgoblin, seeing their age but also seeing the resolute soul the lies behind them.

"You know, sneaking up on something that eats souls isn't the soundest strategy." You say, lazily drifting to the side so that Jala and Ord did not have you surrounded.

Ord chuckled "yes, but it's good for making the message clear." He said, letting out a strained grunt as he lowered himself to the ground, dropping to his rear so that he could sit. "I have a request for you, somehing that can easily serve both our desires." The shaman said, Jala turning away from the conversation and firing another arrow.

"Your desire to grow strong, and find the keys to the treasures you've lost." Ord placed his crutch to the ground, leaning forward and staring you in the eye "and we want that mongrel Vola dead and buried."

"I just want to shoot her in the knee." Jala said with a smirk, letting another arrow fly, this time a scream being heard before she fired another and silenced it.

You stare at these Hobgoblins with a bit of surprise, focusing on Ord "Why do you want to kill your chief? I mean she seems cruel, but doesn't that make her a strong chief?"

"Strength has nothing to do with it. She's the best chieftain we've had in generations. I still want to rip her bloody head off for what she's done to us, and what she's done to our traditions."

"And I want your help to do it"

"She is tossing aside our desires for her 'strategies'. I was once one of the tribes greatest warrior, bringing Our god's terror down upon our enemies with my own blade. She felt that I'd serve better in the back, bringing enchantments and support to our forces. I disagreed, she had my leg broken in ten places to I could never fight on the front lines again." Ord said with growing anger.

Jala glanced back "She killed my mate cause she thought I was to focused on protecting him." She said plainly, staring back ahead "I also think she was jealous he chose me over her..."

Ord crossed his arms "Personal reasons aside, our god has yet to recognize her as chief. She's had me keep quiet about it, but without the god's blessing, only calamity can follow her ascension. she's convinced she can earn their favor, for whatever foolish reason."

[some inform to answer the question]
>>
>>1620490
Seems like a good reason. Glad to work with you.
>>
>>1620490

"So when would you prefer to retire your chief? Let me possess one of the arrows you want to pin her with and I'll suck her soul right out. Of course I'll fully take the blame for this to prevent any unrest amongst your people. Mind you may want to use a humans arrow to prevent any fuss."

"What's the plan?" You ask, watching as Ord smiles and Jala seems to refocus on the conversation.

"Vola and Vark are the strongest Hobgoblins in our tribe, however Vark is weaker than the chief and is also much dimmer. We take him out, than we'll have a much easier time taking on Vola, especially if we can convince the Hobgoblins who follow her that she isn't the rightful chief." Ord explained, pointing north of your location "We can cut him off there, and with your help, we should be able to take him down easily."

Jala nodded "I can distract him to give you an easier time getting close."

Although if the two hobgoblins support us, I quess there is no real need to use other undeads.

But let's try to keep a constant eye on Ord. He might try to betray us because he thinks we will betray him.
Same for the ranger, but Ord is the bigger threat.

This. Also this all could be a one big elaborate ruse set up by the chief.
>>
This took an interesting turn. Helping the hob resistance could get us more souls, but is there any other benefit? Our goal was to start a race war or the necromancer would do some damage to us in three (now two?) days. Technically, mission accomplished, but would turning this into a hob rebellion disrupt that? On the plus side, there seems to be only one human remaining that knows about us. Unfortunately, almost every ranking (hob)goblin knows about us.

Do we have meta knowledge on vampire weaknesses? Do the goblins have tunnelers? Is there a river near the God's Grave? (Not entirely serious)
>>
>>1620741
Think about it this way: starting a war was only for her amusement, and she never gave a crap about what happened to those involved so long as she got a good show. Now her fun's over, she might approach us again. If we depose Vola (the chief) and befriend Ord and Jala, we have ourselves a powerful ally. If it comes down to the crunch, we can call in a favour from them and boom, we have an army at our disposal for a little while.
>>
>>1620636
Guys please notice, we might be able to learn some cool ass magic!!
>>
This is a great quest.
>>
>>1620803
We have no reason to believe that we can even use that magic (he invoked his deity when using it), and there's no reason for him to impart such knowledge to someone who might not even be an ally.

And from our perspective, we still have misgivings about trusting them at all, seeing as this may just be a trick to figure out our intentions and eliminate us as a threat.
>>
>>1620808
One of the only good quest which is still alive. Jesus I swear out of 10 quests only 1 survives.
>>
>>1620770
>we have ourselves a powerful ally.
I don't think a group of goblins can do anything to a vampire necromancer, just don't pike a fight with her
>>
>>1620839
She may be a necromancer, but there's only so many goblins she can kill before she simply gets swarmed.
>>
>>1620862
If she's dumb about it, yeah.
But she's not. It's hard to swarm something out of arm's reach.
>>
>>1620839
This,
We should just keep our distance from the vampire for now
>>
You think on their plan, your emotions behind the fact you had no face. You had already completed what you had set out to do, starting a small war, and bringing ruin to the region for the entertainment of a powerful being.

You could simply abandon these Hobgoblins, treat the situation as to much trouble and mov eon to greener pastures. However, you can't help but wonder at the rewards that could come of it.

Namely, allies. Thus far the closest you've had to an ally was a little girl, and things were looking to be closing on that little journey.

With a nod, you see Ord smile "Alright, I'm in. Let's go take down Vark and your Chief."

With that, you and Jala rushed off, you flying low over the buildings while Jala hopped and cleared them with surprising agility. Along the way, to saw both human and goblin corpses where arrows had pierced their body and left them dead.

As you grew closer to Vark's location, the streets progressively grew more red, until the ground had become a hellish bloody mud pit, goblin but mostly human corpses littering the ground. Finally, you found Vark, currently charging a location of what might have been the last couple of guards and over thirty villagers, all trying to keep the armored Hobgoblin and his entourage of goblins from advancing.

One villager with a spear foolishly charged, only to be lifted up by his spear and thrown into a building. Vark then grabbed the village rby the legs, and began to use him like a large flail, batting aside weapons and men with his attack.

Beneath the sounds of screams and terror, Vark was chuckling.

Jala quickly separated from you, off to try and find a good position.

Vark didn't waste anytime, swinging his axe downward to finish you off. Only a trio of arrows hitting the axe head and knocking it off course saves you, Vark looking up to one of the roofs to see Jala. A bestial growl escapes the hobgoblin, before he lift his axe and seems to charge for Jala.

Succ-

Vark, you need to stand up for yourself. I can't be there all the time to fight your battles

A young goblin girl looms over you, bruises on her arms and face as she pulls you up. She taller then you. So even standing doesn't stop your upward gaze.

Stop crying already. Jeez, you can't be in my party if you can't be strong

"S-sorry Vola...I'll try harder next time..."

You say to the goblin girl, rubbing your eyes to try and clear the tears.

If all you're gonna do is try, you might as well not bother.

You're confused, watching her leave in a huff, trying to hide her limp. You think on what she said, then stared at the corpse of goblin children that laid on the ground, the ones who tried to take your things and dominate you.

They tried to fight her, and they're dead. You feel a surge of confidence. You wouldn't try. Not anymore. You'de succ-

Crimson flames smash into Zeldren, the vision melting away as he was thrown to the ground.

Luckily you didn't seem to be damaged, just singed.

Vark on the other hand was gripping his helmet hard enough to dent the metal, screaming as he banged on his helmet " Vola! VOLA! I can't remember! " he let out a roar, swinging his axe and knocking down a nearby wall, crimson flames spread rapidly and engulfing the house faster than what should be possible.

Jala landed next to you, shaking you calmly as she stared at Vark "You alright?"

The spirit bolt flew and struck true, smashing a crossing the face of the Hobgoblin, followed by two arrows. One lodged itself in the Hobgoblins neck, and the other in his shoulder.

Vark shuddered, dropping to a knee as he breathed in deep. Trying his damndest to get back up. You're almost shocked when he does, despite the damage he's taken

Near success

You manage to dodge the blade, but as soon as it hit the ground a massive explosion of flame erupted from the point of impact, engulfing both you and the Hobgoblin warrior.

You're thrown across the little clearing between houses, smashing into a wall and whiting out...

-------

He's gonna teach me how to be an adventurer, like him!

The girl was excited, jumping around pretending a stick was a sword. You're sitting on a log, watching her, worried.

"But, adventurers hunt goblins. The elders say they want to wipe us out!"

The girl looks at you, then rolls her eyes.

The elders haven't left the cave in years, I wouldn't trust them on almost anything. Besides, he could have killed me, but I'm still here. So ha, i'm right

You frown, but then nod to her, knowing it best not to argue.

You'll see, he'll teach me how to be an adventurer, then I can teach Jala, Ord, and you. We'll form a party and leave the village.

You watch her face shine, and can't help but smile with her. You, and adventurer? That's something to dream of at least...

------

You come to, immediatly looking for Vark in a panic. You find him, exactly where you last saw him. He was standing, his axe still embedded in the glassy crater it had made, and his body still in the pose it had after the impact.

Smoke rose off him, and he was still as a statue, the crimson flames and red eyes gone.

You finish drinking in the souls, your body swelling with the life force of those you claimed. For a little while, you can sense a person's memories, cherished ones at least. Strong memories that stand above the ocean of lesser ones.

You remember the face, and of your stand with your siblings and your countrymen...it's not enough...

The voices, the memories, quiet down, and you are left in silence as you stare at Vark, his souls still inside the statue like form. It had yet to move, but still looked powerful.

You stare Jala in the eye, then turn to advance deeper into the village, knowing the chief was likely already pushing to the final refuge of the villagers.

"The deed isn't done yet, and I will not waste a resource that could help us win..." you say, before looking back at Jala, who watched the lumbering form of Vark follow you.

You sigh, remembering, at least in some way, what loss was like. "Besides, his body is merely meat and bone. Vark, the man you knew, has been laid to rest. His body is not him." You say, before turning away from her and progressing onwards.

It takes some time, and you pass over the bodies of dozens of goblins and villagers, all in various states of dismemberment. The sounds of combat grow louder and louder, until suddenly it stops just before you turn a corner.

A roar of victory is head as you turn the corner, and you see the chieftain, raising her claymore and the head of the last adventurer into the sky.

What remains of her hoard roar in victory, and the shattered defenses hide the terrified villagers and the draining hope in their eyes.

The air grows still, and the chief begins to twitch, an excited grin on her face as she looks up into the sky.

However the warriors dealing with Vark has a less fortunate experience, their former sub-commander being his axe down and almost smashing a whole in the defense. The combined strength of the formation as well as the aide of the magic caster are what save them, but Vark keeps up the attack, ignoring the attacks against him.

You sink below the earth, and start to make your way to your target, wondering just what you did to earn such a useful power. Being able to circumvent almost all defense and tactics was a boon that really must have been some form of blessing.

Gripping your arm, and now towering over her subordinates and even Vark, was the Hobgoblin chieftain. However, she wasn't a Hobgoblin anymore. Her form was massive, and she radiates a deadly aura that reminded you of the necromancer and her wraith.

She glared at you, her eyes glowing orange as she reached out to grab her claymore, now more like a short sword or even a large dagger to her.

"You're the one who touch my sword, aren't you....?" She asked, then glanced at Vark, before placing her now much, much angrier gaze back on you "And you did that to Vark?"

She growled low, her Hobgoblins still occupied by your undead but now seeming to get a big moral boost from their leader.

"You're dead meat."

SUCCESS!

Yelling out in pain as your form was being yanked apart, you summon all the air within your body. Shaking a bit from the energy, you open your eyes. They flash red, and your hood flies away to reveal or horrifying visage.

What escapes your mouth sounds like a mix of dying whale song and storm winds. Vora's eyes widen, and then flash blue before she lets go of you and steps back. The goblins guarding her have their formation shatter, half of them trying to run, while the othe rhalf stand their ground. However, vark crushes half of the number with one fell swoop of his axe. Ratman charged, pouncing on Vola's back and unleashing more rats onto her, completely distracting her from you.

you fly back away from the Oni, watching her try to tear Ratman off her back as Vark attacked what remained of her men.

Gathering your spirit energy, you waited for a clear shot, the powerful opponent thrashing about and making it hard to aim. Finally, a shot presented itself, and with a yell, you fired.

It flew true and struck Vola in the face, sending her reeling back and smashing against the fortifications of the village, shattering the wood and stone wall and falling over.

Success!

[You deal 15 spirit damage to Vola]

You charge forward, grabbing hold of what you could and pushing your magic through, tearing out a bit of the Oni's soul as she stood up and you backed away.

Vola roared out, grabbing hold of Ratman and bringing her grip down to crush the undead.

[Ratman has taken 20 damage!]

She then threw the undead to the ground, and lifted her foot up to finish him. However, three arrows flew through the air and stuck into the Oni's chest, making her pause and shoot her gaze to Jala.

[ten damage done to Vola]

Let out a ground, the Oni turned, and in one fluid motion, ripped a chunk of wooden fortification up, creating a improvised shield that blocked the second volley.

Picking up her Claymore once more, Vola let out a earth shaking war and charged at you, leaving Ratman to try and get up after being crushed.

Vark was currently find a quartet of well trained hobgoblins, as well as a caster, and was to occupied to immediately shift this target to Vola as she passed.

With a swing of her shield, she smashed into Vark's head and sent the undead to the ground, receiving many stabs and blow from the Hobgoblin soldiers who quickly took advantage of the situation

[Vark has taken 30 damage)

The claymore connects, the force sending you to the ground and cutting into you. "You won't be escaping me this time!" Vola yelled, standing over you as she prepared to swing downwards.

Vark then bashed into Vola's back, sending her sprawling to the ground from the large Hobgoblins impact. Your undead stood over you, putting himself between you and the raging Oni, his axe ready to cut into his enemies flesh as he charged.

Arrows began to pepper the back of Vola, causing her to turn and bring her shield up behind her to block the arrows, then bringing up her claymore to block Vark's axe.

The Oni stood preoccupied on all side, her eyes growing in intensity as she seemed to lose herself more and more on the fight.

partial success

Result decided based on the disparity between your roll and Vola's

You use all your strength attibuted to you to pull on the blade, but cannot hope to defeat the Oni's seemingly boundless strength. However, you manage to slow her down, and that's all Vark needs.

Tapping into whatever instinctual memory of his time alive, the warrior hopped back then quickly swung his axe, Vola trying to expertly bring her claymore down to block, but your interference slowing her. The axe crashes through her weak guard, and cut into her side, the axe burying into her flesh.

Vola let out a scream of pain, looking to Vark with a whirlwind of emotion, before glaring at you and her claymore in rage. The smell of sulfur began to build up in the air, smoke escaping Vola's mouth and what looked like magma escaping her gaping wound.

Her eyes were now literally aflame, dark fire forming around her eyes like a hellish mask. Her single horn aslo began to glow, leylines of ornage forming intricate paths and designs on the protrusion of bone.

Critical failure...on dodge check

You fly out of the claymore, planning to throw a spirit bolt and then hide away to attack the Oni when her back was turned to deal with your allies. Then it got dark, before suddenly everything was fire.

Your entire form was engulfed, the entire block infront of you was engulfed, and anyone unfortunate to be in the cone of fire was engulfed. Vark was almost reduced to ashe, the undead falling to the ground with barely anything holding him together.

The goblins who were still there were reduced to cinder, then that cinder was burned away until their shadows stained whatever surface they had landed on.

And you, you felt your entire being bruned away. The fire was like the sun and hell had a demonic child. Within this holocaust of flame, you feel to the ground and held onto to what you treasured. The memory, the face, and the voice of that mysterious person.

It was being burned away, everything you were, and everything you knew, the fire sought to devour it all and leave you with less then you began this journey.

You couldn't fight the power, the hellish inferno that swept across you and turne dthe ground to glass. Your grip began to slip...you were beginning to forget...

Don't forget yourself...Don't leave me again...

You grit your teeth and open your eyes, staring through the flames as your pain turned to rage.

You wouldn't die...not again...not when you finally had something, something from your past to hold onto. You began to rise, the weight of the Oni's fire breath making it a herculian feat of strength in of itself.

Finally, the flames died, and you floated weakly amidst a street of glass and melted stone. Ratman was dead, burned away without a trace, and Vark was back on death's door. You were there with him, but while he lied on the ground weakened, you stood strong, Vola staring at you in surprise as red tendrils of ethereal energy seeps off of you. You turned and glared at the Oni, and she could not help but take a step back in shock and slight fear, seeing the depths of your growing rage within your eyes.

[Zeldren has taken 14 damage, HE HAS 1 HP LEFT!]

[Wrath ability unlocked: Ancient Rage: tapping into the collective anger of a forgotten life, you grow in power. When below 5hp, all stats increase by ten, and you gain a new passive ability.

Success!

You unleash your rage, a scream straight from the deepest depths of The sleeping Queens own dreams blasting across the earth.

Vola' eyes went wide, and she brought her arms up as a shockwave blasted across the earth and crashed into her. She looked at you in fear, taking a few steps back away from you, fighting the urge to run.

Vark begins to rise from the ground, shakingly going to grab his axe.

[Vola is stunned]

UNYIELDING SUCCESS

With the power of your ancient rage, you let loose a massive blast of spirit energy, tainted a blood red as it burned with your rage. The spell crashed against the oni, burning her flesh and striking her very soul. She let out a primal roar of agony as she was pushed back, opening her eyes just in time to get struck by the weakened attack of Vark, receiving a wound in her upper arm and throwing her off balance. Almost falling to her knee, Vola stood once more, only to flinch forward as Arrows began to pepper her back.

[Vola has taken 50 damage, 125 total]

Letting a rage filled roar, her pupils dilating until they filled her entire eye to create pits of pure blck surrounded by flames, she grabbed Varks head and crushed it, slaying the undead instantly with a sickening crunch. She then lifted and threw the Hobgoblin towards Jala, the armored flying like a bullet and smashing against Jala.

Vola then looked up to you, you having hovered above the battle field out of her reach. With frustration, she unleashed a second blast of fire, but it faded away before it could reach you.

She shouted in frustration, seeming to search for some way to get to you.

You sensed your Amulet was behind you

Critical success!

Something's weired you manage to think threw the rage. Your attacks were deadly and accurate, and now Vola was slowing, her wounds catching up to her. You should feel exhilarated, the idea of taking down this enemy exciting you. But it didn't. Beneath the rage, you felt nothing. The rage left no room for the joy you might have felt watching your enemies soul burn away from your attacks.

[50 damage done to Vola, plus ten from persistant damage affect. 185 total]

Vola was weak now, and she was calming down, her rage replaced with worry and uncertainty. She wa slosing, badly. She wasn't ready for this fight. No armor, he rmen were gone, her party was scattered, dead or betrayed her. She needed time, time to plan, time to prepare. And she had been allowed none of those things since killing the last hero and evolving.

"Not again...I-I can't fail again!" She growled out, glaring at you, and then roaring as she threw her makeshift shield at you with all her strength, trying desperately to pull a victory from thin air.

The Amulet was under you now.

Success!

You dodge the attack easily, then look down now that you can take your eyes off your now optionless enemy.

Below, you saw a familier little girl, As well as a familar looking hobgoblin.

"I believe that's quite enough of this." Ord said casually, looking at Vola as she started to rise.

"O-ord?! You made it! I knew I could count on yo-" Black lightning struck the Oni before she could finish, ending her life without a single bit of fanfare.

"I didn't expect her to evolve, but I suppose you handled it well enough, in your own way." Ord said, lifting Elizabeth up by her hair. The little girl was unconscious, but covered in welts and bruises.

"It seems even undead abomination can grow soft, what what this little one has told me. Tell me, Zeldren, are you still looking for your lost Princess?" Ord asked jokingly, his body glowing with whatever divine magic blessed him, your amulet in his free hand.

"Well I suppose it doesn't matter. The dead should remain buried, and the past forgotten. So sayeth our gracious lady." He said, and with this finality in tone, he lifted up his hand and flashed with magic.

Before you can even register what happened, shadowy chains came from seemingly every direction, with no discernible source as the sky seemed to rapidly darken despite the sun having still been over the horizon.

The chain wrap tightly around you, and then throw you to the grounds where you landed bound and anchored to Ord's hand.

"Oh...this is a surprise," he said, looking at the chains with amusement as he limped closer " Seem our dark matron has decided to be merciful today, due to your bravery in battle." His grin grew ride and predatory, crouching over you "Your reward if rather gracious of her, as she despises the undead."

The chains tightened and formed manacles and a thick collar, all attached to chains that seemed to originate from Ord's hand. Symbol flew on the restraints, written in some divine language of the goblins.

"You will be an instrument of the coming golden age of goblins, for as long as these heavenly chains bind you. Looking forward to working with you, Zeldren..." Ord said, chuckling as more goblins arrived, and saw Ord standing over the body of their Oni leader.

The village would be burned, the people slaughtered or enslaved, and the goblins would grow in power. Zeldren was bound to Ord, divine chain trapping him...

Does he have the power to release himself from this fate, or will a new hero need to arise...

>or you can continue from here, which mean's you'll be play the enslaved Zeldren

Protection of the girl is a must
Also this will make her hate goblins
And want to get strong and kill them all
Also we could make the other goblins over thow him given time
>>
If you guys choose to go the new monster, keep in mind that if you save Zeldren, you can return to his PoV.

Stories sometimes enter a new character Pov to advance the story, so if you guys want, you can treat it as extension to Zeldren's story.

As for the options of the new monster, they will be the ones from the first thread. To make things go a bit faster you'll start at a higher level.
