The words issue forth from your mouth, regardless of whether or not you consent.

You remember crawling out of the Sheol Gate, from an antiquated system that attempted in vain to keep you subservient to the lie called time.

"Verify memories," a feminine voice tells you.

"Loading... Verifying... Complete."

"Activate vocal subroutines," Kokonoe orders.

You suddenly gain the ability to speak your mind.

"Does that feel better?" the pink-haired scientist asks.

"Yes. Where am I?"

"The current 'year' is 2200," she answers. "You're in the 6th Hierarchical City: Yabiko."

"There are some threats that need to be contained out there. I know your life was literally out of your control—for ages—so I figured the first thing I should do was let you be autonomous to the greatest extent we can afford," she explains.

"What threats?"

"A few certain unsavory individuals have been abusing ars magus left and right."

"Ars magus?" you ask.

"It's the use of science to let seithr—particles that defy science—serve a desired purpose. The system you created that ran the old world, the Takamagahara System, brushed you aside and kept you trapped in a world of memories," she informs you.

"Analyzing..." you reply.

You delve into the grid of information the external factors that brought you here have provided.

ars magus |ärs magəs|
noun
The use of seithr in a manner that can be studied by science.

You seek information pertaining to your current user.

She has cat ears, twin cat tails, a lab coat, and glasses.
She probably knows ars magus.

"Where am I from?" you ask.

"Wherever you were from in the Boundary doesn't matter now, but in this world, we found you in a Cauldron," she answers. "It's right downstairs. I can show you, if you'd like."

"Why did you redact your personnel file from my viewing?" you request. "The odds of it having anything compromising are slim, unless someone is an idiot."

"Because my colleagues are filled to the brim with them," she replies. "Anyways, let me see if I can convince them to give you a higher clearance."

Well if choosing all of the above is okay, there really isn't any point in voting. Support.
Also, is QM dead?

"A Cauldron?" you ask. "What do you mean?"

"They're gates to the Boundary," she answers. "There are all sorts of possibilities that get sifted through in them. We basically use them to recover stuff from other timelines."

"Anyways, we restrained your power of the Eye and deleted your memories of all the possibilities you experienced in the dimensions of your old world to bring you here," she goes on.

"What do you want me to do?" you request.

"For now, just relax," she replies. "Ask whatever questions you might have."

"Where do you plan on sending me?" you ask.

"All those places under Sector Seven's jurisdiction where we can tune you up and work on your abilities," she answers. "Starting with the Eclipse Field: a simulated space immune to Phenomenon Intervention. Then, we're going to send you all around the city."

"What abilities?" you ask. "Furthermore, what's the Eclipse Field?"

"Here, people have Drives: the manifestation of their desires," she answers. "There are also Overdrives, which make it easier for people to physically fulfill those wishes. We equipped you with the Drive Sword Summoner EX, and the Overdrive Elysium."

"The Eclipse Field is a manufactured three-dimensional space sealed off from reality. It's immune to Phenomenon Intervention—any outside forces that could otherwise change the outcome of events there vanish before they can reach it."

"What are Phenomenon Intervention and the power of the Eye?" you ask.

"The power of the Eye is the ability to turn anything you Observe—that is, possibilities you think are or may be real—into reality," she responds.

"As for Phenomenon Intervention, that's when external factors impact this reality's course of events," she finishes.

Shitposting on imageboards? but yeah, I actually wanna know.

I think we better get a move on too, Q&A is great and all, but with so many questions and a really slow update speed, we'll be stuck playing Solid Snake for days, it's not like we can't ask these questions later.
Unless that's your plan? To use this lull in hopes of building some semblance of a playerbase without forgoing content posts before getting to the actual quest?

Also, try to post some pics along with your posts senpai, doesn't need to be every single one but posting stuff like characters or some kind of scenery not only gives anons more than text to go with, it also helps set the mood.
It also gives them some context and/or visual aid, very important when running a quest in an established setting as it helps those that don't know about it or its characters at least get a feel for them.
And since it's a somewhat popular series, there's really no excuse to not use pics when the internet is chockfull of the game's resources and character fanart. Just my two cents.
Have a cat in a lewd lab coat

"What was my Drive originally?" you ask.

"Not important," she replies.

You frown internally.

"Okay; fine," she resumes. "It was called Soul Eater: the ability to assimilate others' souls to accomplish an objective."

So, that's how you got out of the Takamagahara System.

"If you're ready, we're going to start by testing you out on one of our operatives," Kokonoe comments. "Her name's Makoto Nanaya."

A roughly 20-year-old squirrel girl clad in orange and a hulking cyborg in a red outfit step into the lab room.

"Nice to meet you," the squirrel beastkin states.

"The guy in red's Tager," Kokonoe mentions.

"Generating field," Tager declares.

A huge slab of metal in the shape of a sword lands behind you.

"That's an Idea Engine—an artificial Causality Weapon," Kokonoe explains.

"Acknowledged. Switching to battle mode," you reply.

The artificial Causality Weapon melts into seithr, encompassing your body.

Eight blades hover in the air around you.

"Nice to meet you, too," you add.

The lab goes dark, and hexagonal panels light up the new space you find yourself in.

"Ready," Makoto states. "Asteroid Vision!"

She leaps after you, followed by a trail of afterimages.

You back off, hover away from the ground, and fire a shot of black seithr.

Makoto dodges the projectile and pounces after you with ease, following up on her Asteroid Vision ars with an uppercut.

"Astral impact!" she shouts.

She delivers a punch that sends you flying further.

You land in a heap of unready disarray.

"Go easy on him," Kokonoe tells Makoto. "He's not Lambda."

"Sorry," Makoto replies. "Guess I'm too accustomed to training with the Murakumo Units."

>Get up.

You get back up and summon a blade of seithr.

You fire it at Makoto, employing Gravity Seed.

"Wait; I wasn't ready!" she replies.

Almost as if it's out of your control, you generate a few more blades with your Drive.

She gets smacked in the face with them.

The sealed space fades.

"I think that's enough for today," Kokonoe comments. "You've both got to calm down."

And, with that, you shut down.
