Funtron is a Lego board game where you take command of a motley crew of space adventurers and explore an abandoned outpost on an alien planet. You, the reader, post commands for the characters. In turn, I will execute your commands and post images and descriptions of what happens. To begin, let's recap what happened last thread:
Archive of previous roundshttp://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/qstarchive.html?tags=Funtron%20Space%20AdventureThe loot-hungry crew of the Non Apparens detected an abandoned research station on Planet FSA-89. They sent three of their own down to explore Carpos Station: Bosun Joy, Inventor Penkala, and Intern Whitworth.
However, their vessel, the Capsula Cinerea, crashed during the approach to Carpos Station. In order to escape, our heroes will need to find a new radial charge incapacitator to repair the Capsula Cinerea. A second landing pad seems to be located at room #31, hopefully containing the spare parts needed to escape.
However, there's no way to access the research wing until the station's generator is restored to full functionality with a new power core. Finding one is the current top priority. However, the three space adventurers and Teddy have recently realized that they're not alone. There's something green and plant-like lurking in the shadows of Carpos Station.
Waiting just out of sight...
Watching, its motivation unknown...
Our adventure resumes from here in r8, where our heroes recently defeated a robot on its bathroom break.Whitworth and Penkala have 3 HP each; Joy has 2 HP. You have 7 medicine. What will you do?
>>1656038>Heal wounds>Expropriate lightsaber >Investigate r16
>>1656102We'll take care of the separate rooms then go on the plant hunt.
>>1656102You heal up Joy's wounds, bringing the medicine supply down to 6. She makes sure to nab the lightsaber as well. Dangerous loot is the best kind, after all.Noting that r17 and r18 open into a looping area, you decide to clear out r16 before tackling that particular mess. It seems a little crowded in there already, though.
>>1656191What will you do?
>>1656191>>1656199Penkala: boil the one in poolWhitworth and Joy: focus armored guy.
>>1656202Time to help these fitness-bots feel the burn.
>>1656229Thanks to your intervention, the armored bot loses a few pounds and the drone in the pool has a chance to experience a hot tub.
>>1656234Returning the favor, the crowned bot decides to give Penkala's battery a complimentary charge. The voltage doesn't quite seem compatible, however, and she loses 1 HP.
>>1656237One down, two still standing. What will you do?
>>1656237>>1656238That was unexpected. Whitworth: finish one with te gunJoy: move forward to take a defensive position with lightsaber, make sure not to follow Mace Window's fate.Penkala: attack crowned bot.
>>1656242Once more taking a cue from the prequels, Joy deflects the next blast of lightning from the crowned bot with her lightsaber while Penkala does what Penkala does best, aside from creating kludged-together robotic goliaths.
>>1656265The crowned bot's power turns out to be limited after all. However, Penkala takes a hit as well from the now unarmored bot, dropping her to 1 HP.
>>1656270But what was Whitworth doing?
>>1656270During all this in r8, Teddy's secondary sensor pod starts going off. Something's moving up in the bedroom. He turns to find the plant stalk squirming across the floor at an alarming pace.
>>1656272At the same time, while Teddy's back is turned to the commotion, Whitworth tries to steel his nerves, or at least aluminum them, and takes aim at the armorless bot, but something's amiss...
>>1656280Whitworth drops, to the ground and to 1 HP. The security bot seems to detect the presence of the floral fugitive and takes a lurching step forward. It fires once at the plant-man, but misses.Orders?
>>1656291>Teddy: REMOVE PLANT>The rest: save Whitworth
>>1656329Doubleing, also heal Penkala to 2 hp
>>1656291The green fucker stole Whitworth's laptop.Time to go weeding.
>>1656539But what for? To order fertilizers and pots from mc^2Bay? Browse some flower pictures while nobody's watching? Reveal Whitworth's browser's history to humankind? Do we really have to go after the greendude and search answers for this questions instead of serching for power core first? But we totally have to use Penkala's flamethrower on anything green we can find.
>>1656329>>1656375Teddy turns around just in time to see the plantman absconding with Whitworth's laptop. He fires at the villainous vegetable, but it's too quick for Teddy's lumbering mechanical frame and escapes into r17. The security bot follows after the plantman in tepid pursuit, one clanking step at a time.
>>1657122Meanwhile in the gym, Joy and Penkala pull out the medkit to try and stabilize Whitworth.J: "Just between the two of us, but I have zero medical training. Maybe you should do this."P: "I'd be happy to take whirl at putting the lad back together. Can't be much harder than a spaceship."J: "Actually, why don't you patch yourself up? I'll see what I can do for Whitworth."It's times like these you wish you could google "how to fisrt aid+very blood".
>>1657127For Whitworth's part, he handles the whole situation with the cool and unmoved demeanor of a man passed out from blood loss. Images begin flashing through his unconscious brain. If he squints his mind's eyes, he can just make them out. It looks a bit like a life.
>>1657131Colony Phlogiston, Skarabikor. The sole survivor strides out from the blazing wreckage of the weapons depot: a young woman with the glint of fire in her eyes and a vende—Oh, wait. This is Penkala's life. Sorry, let's try that again.
>>1657132Funville, Earth. A charming young couple has just been graced with a son. They've decided to name him Winston—Winston Whitworth. Such promise glimmers in the eyes of babes. What magnificent deeds will this boy go on to achieve? Let's find out.
>>1657135Christiansenmas. Your family gathers round the festive Plant, Tree Pine Large 4x4x6 2/3. A present waits just for you, a scarlet-clad surprise. Like a mob accountant disposing of the evidence you zealously shred the paper, revealing a box. A laptop, bundled with a Space Google Premium Membership—your passport to the universe. Oh the places you'll go.
>>1657139Such as your parents' study. Ah, but from that study...
>>1657142Nope, guess you're still there. Alright, but here comes the exciting part.
>>1657143Hmmm. You really could have sworn you had a bit more happening in your life, but no need to worry; there's still plenty of time left before you get accepted to the internsh—
>>1657145Never mind. You know, maybe there's something to learn from this. Maybe you'll wake up from this near-death experience with the greasy fingerprints wiped clean from the window of your perception. Could it be that this is what it takes to discover what's really important in life?
>>1657147W: "That fucker stole my laptop!"
>>1657148With your priorities properly recalibrate, you join the others in r8. Everyone is back on their feet, at least for the moment. Whitworth and Penkala are at 2 HP each; Joy is at 3. You have 2 medicine remaining. The security bot seems to know where it's going and what it's going to do; how about you?
>>1657149>Teddy: retreat to the far corner and overwatch the doors to r17 and r18. That green buggerer must not escape.>The rest: go to r18. Caught between you and the secbot, the plant will DIE.
>>1657149>this sec bot is still alivePlot armor?
>>1657318Literal armor for the first time it was attacked; Whitworth was in charge of finishing it off, but we all know how that went. After that, no one made any effort to attack it.>>1657286Teddy establishes defensive bearricade in the corner of r8. No one's making it out of r16 or r18 without him seeing them first.Speaking of r18, the crew decide to explore that room first on the grounds that the security drone already has r16 covered. You open the door...
>>1657904...to a gruesome sight. Another member of the station's crew lies here, and there's not much question as to whether this one's alive or not. Dried blood stains the ground. Whitworth's fingers twitch in anticipation of a googling that may never come. What will you do?
>>1657909Poke the body with a stick to make sure there's nothing creepy nesting insideThen check him to see if we can figure out what that switch he's touching will do
>>1657967Joy gives the body a little nudge, but the spacesuit is totally empty save for the skeleton. This isn't Doctor Who, after all.The nametag says this is the corpse of Al Graft, the biologist who was once stationed here.
>>1657994He seems to have been killed in the middle of trying to get to the controls of this machine. Further analysis indicates that this is the hub for the central heating system of Carpos Station. It's currently a little above room temperature in here. What will you do?
>>1657994He's probably responsible for that green fucker!>>1657909Are those crates lootable? >>1657996I wonder if turning down the heat would slow that plantoid down. How about turning it down to just above "chilly" and seeing what happens?
>>1658000Penkala adjusts the thermostat to "a bit nippy" and a cool blue replaces the machine's hot orange glow. This should save someone on their heating bills.Meanwhile, Joy rips into the crates like a child on Christiansenmas morning. For her troubles, she pilfers a bottle of alcohol with a cloth stuffed in it and a flash of an unknown liquid.Orders?
>>1658018OP i gotta say Whitworth's flashback was hilarious
>>1658038Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it! It was really fun to put together too.
>>1658018Well, I say we follow that bot that was following the green fucker so if I get us all killed I apologize
>>1658114r17 or r20?
>>1658119It went into 20, right?I say follow behind it so it's at least a temporary barrier between us and that green thing.
>>1658131A very temporary barrier indeed. You'd guess it was the plantman, in the kitchen, with the buzzsaw.
>>1658167Aside from the robot giblets lying about, the food in this room is a staler than fresh. It looks like someone was in the middle of preparing a fancy dinner when something called them away. At least they didn't leave the oven running. What will you do?
>>1658172Check that fridge. If it's still running there might be something useful inside. In either case, have somebody cover it in case the mold makes a break for it.
>>1658176You're not wholly ignorant of the risks of opening a space-fridge, so you make sure to have Penkala's flamethrower on the ready just in case something unsavory jumps out.You open the door and good Godt what sort of horrifying alien is thatOrders?
>>1658237>BURNINATEWe're in r17 now, right?
>>1658432You set your flamethrower to roast and let the monster have it.
(also yes, this is r17)>>1658474For some reason, the sight of this alien's prone and broiled corpse is making you a little hungry...What will you do?
>>1658477we should probably eat it, so that the plant monster can't steal it from us later
>>1658477>Be the first people to consume the flesh of an alien species.
>>1658544>>1658546You gather around the table to partake in this cosmic carnal consumption, and by "around the table", I mean "everyone's sitting on one side of the table", but if it was good enough for da Vinci...
>>1658561The meat is tender and moist despite sitting in a fridge for the better part of a decade. You feel the soothing tryptophan seeping into the folds of your brain, lulling you into the dreamy darkness. Somewhere, your thirteen cousins are arguing with one another about sports, though they can't quite agree on which sport to argue about, while your drunken uncle (drunkle) shares his unsolicited opinions on Jupiterians with anyone who'll listen and even those who won't. Your grandmother wants you to take another serving of mashed potatoes, but you're just so full already and no, you're eating fine out in your space-apartment, and yes, you'll take them home with you as leftovers, and while you'd love to meet that handsome young greeble inspector she keeps trying to set you up with, you've got your career to think about, and it'll just have to—The haze parts and your souls return to your bodies from the Astral Plane of Thanksgiving. You feel refreshed in body if nothing else, and are all back to 3 HP. You make a note however not to eat any strange aliens you find lying around in fridges. What will you do?
>>1658583(I'm signing off for the night, but if you leave your orders here, I'll start with them tomorrow)
>>1658583Wait for everyone to pass out then search them for useful loot.
>>1658583>Go through r20 to r22>Don't loot the team
>>1658593>>1658605You could never loot your teammates like they were a pair of alleyway corpses! However, you're not above taking advantage of them just a little.P: "Let's see... I had my flamethrower, of course..."W: "That's my blaster, and—"J: "And I had the rifle, the lightsaber, the cocktail, and the flask, okay, loadouts settled, let's get going."Works every time.
>>1659121You proceed into the great r20 corridor. Nothing seems out of place here—yet.
>>1659135r22 seems to be some kind of art gallery or museum. There are green aliens aplenty here, but no sign of the one you're after. What will you do?
>>1659137take a closer look at the alien heads, you never know what kinda alien plant monster tricks he might have up his sleeve
>>1659137>Look inside the grey chests
>>1659173You take a gander at the heads mounted on the far end of the room. Whitworth, recalling what little of high school English he didn't sleep through, attempts to quote Hamlet, and flubs it, alas. The heads seem harmless enough—armless, certainly—but you get the feeling that ??? back on the Non Apparens might have some objections.
>>1659308>>1659192While Whitworth is preoccupied with his gibes and gambols, Penkala pries open the gray crate. From it she draws a fencing foil with a tip as sharp as the CPSC will allow.Joy eyes the foil with a covetous look.Orders?
>>1659317Seems like she could rig up some sort of harpoon gun with that foil and a... gun.
>>1659541The Muse of Improvised Weaponry descends unto Penkala and she enters into a strange mood. The poet Virgil, once inspired thus, famously penned the line "Arma virumque cano"—"I sing of arms and of the man"—but Penkala is quite content to leave it at "Arma."A few minutes later, Joy's cocktail has been dismantled, a deactivated bot has been pilfered for its blaster, and Penkala is finished with her latest invention: the Advanced Advance Lunge, capable of buckling a swash from fifty studs away. Might be useful if you run into any space pirates.Orders?
>>1659583examine those encased frogs
>>1660385With his usual lack of foresight, Whitworth plucks the frog straight out of the display case. Fortunately, it's just a crystal statue of a frog and not some horrifyingly poisonous alien species of dart frog. On mc^2Bay, one of these babies normally runs for...well, you actually have no idea without your laptop. Grief washes over you in a great wave, washing away your hopes and dreams like so many children's sand castles upon the beach. You set down the frog to wipe a tear from your eye. When you look again, the frog is gone. Off in the corner, Joy nonchalantly stuffs something into her pack.———I'm heading to bed a little early tonight, so leave your orders here and I'll carry them out in the morning. Thanks for playing!
>>1660483thanks for running, OP!
>>1660483|>Examine the round symbol thingy to the left of the frogs (from the audience POV)
>>1660580Joy takes the totally-not-a-recolored-Technic-steering-wheel. As soon as she touches it, a blinding flash of light erupts from the artifact!
>>1662353Though accusations of sticky fingers are nothing new to Joy, this is still a little surprising. In your shock, you release your grasp on the wheel and just as quickly return to your human form. It's really a bit useless as magical artifacts go. Maybe you'll leave it here for some other sucker.Orders?
>>1662367Whoa, that's terrifyingWell, all that's left is whatever horrors lurk in R21, unless it escaped through the ventilation system or the toilet or something.Penkala, set up a flamethrower at the ready just in caseJoy, get your gun outWhitworth uses his Internet Withdrawl Syndrome power to open the door?
>>1662410r19 is yet-to-be-explored as well. However, you decide to tackle r21 first. Its transparent door is considerably more inviting and much less likely to trigger another ambush.Desperate to find the fiend that parted him from his soulmate, Whitworth busts open the door first. Inside he finds himself face-to-face with something considerably more alien to him than all the creepy, green taxidermied heads or even the plantman: a library. What will you do?
>>1662449>book with killer plant monster on the coverHMMMMMMMMMM...I will let someone else make the next decision.
>>1662471>Split and read everything.>The book with the plant monster in the first place.
>>1662719Time to get literate. You each grab a book and settle in for a comfortable read at the conveniently provided desk. Hopefully nothing takes advantage of your distraction to sneak in and kill you. That's sure be terrible.

Green: Finding Peace Through Gardening, Larson, E. (pp. 12-13)…and the dirt goes UNDER the plant, not over it. Even you can't possibly screw that up. Anyway, once you've stuck the damn thing in the ground, do you think it needs water? Well, do you? Use your brain, you corpulent codpiece! You absolute clown. You're so dense you'd sink in molten gold and come out a gilded turd. Of course it needs water! And don't just sit on your ass waiting for it to rain. Grab your watering pail and go water the poor thing. You did buy a watering pail, didn't you? If you didn't, you'd better go buy one or climb over your neighbor's fence and steal theirs because I bet you a million spacebucks they're not so completely ignorant that they forgot to buy one. Anyway, so the water goes IN the pail, not…
Purple: The Planet of Space Doctor Moreaueua, Drille, Mercurio. (pp. 1-2)UNCORRECTED PROOF — DO NOT SELLI do not propose to add anything to what has already been written concerning the loss of the Haughty Space Dame. Well, maybe a little. As everyone knows, she collided with an asteroid when ten days out from Callao (ed.: can you make this spacier? Space-Callao?). The shuttle, with seven of the crew, was picked up eighteen days after by a great big honking space dreadnaught, with guns bristling from every side. It loomed in the darkness like a great shadow upon another shadow, monstrous in its largeness. Its name: The Brigand's End; its captain, an enigma, shrouded in crimson red darkness. He gazed down upon the crew with one burning eye, and beckoned them in to dock.(ed.: you're not getting paid by the word) The story of their terrible privations has become quite as well known as the far more horrible Galacto-Medusa case. But I have to add to the published story of the Haughty Space Dame another, probably also horrible, though maybe a little less horrible than the Galacto-Medusa, and maybe it'll even be strange too. Your call. (ed.: awk.) It has hitherto been supposed that the four spacemen who were in the shuttle perished, but this is incorrect. I have the best of evidence for this assertion: I just haven't figured out what it is yet… (ed.: I think we need to discuss your contract again)
Orange: The Legiend of The Chronocler: The Quest for Makuta's Sword, xXtakanuvafan2002Xx. (pp. 1054-1055)…"When the Core Of the Makuta reaches Full Power, it'll kill us all! shouted Hewki vehemently. Everyone sighed deeply and shedded a tear over the news that they were going to die."We need to find some way into stopping the Core," concurred Matoru. "As you all know, we can't get back into under Metrunui because the Barraki used the Exosuits to clog the tunnles… but what about poison???"Everyone stared at to Matoro when he spoke those words, which were dangerous words as they all already were aware of. There was a dark gleamer in his eye, a spark of desperately mad desperation. He was proposing to use the Poison Scepter of the Dvorak to meltor their way through the rocks under to the ground, but if they used the Poison Sceptor, then almost certain the Matorans in Metro Nui would be killed by the dangrous fumes emitted by the weaponrey."We're not using the Poison, no way jose," exclaimed Jalalar. He put his foot down onto the ground, and then turned his eyes onto facing Matoro, then turned his body to facing Matoro, then turned his legs, except for the leg which he had set onto the ground already. When he did this, he looked really imposing like a king or an emporer or a shift manager, and he took out his sword from its sheath and lit it on fire, which he could do at will as the Toa of Fire. He leveld his sword at Matoro and then pointed it at him. "I'm" he said, "going to stop you Maturo my brother, my sworn comrade, even if it's to the last thing I'm doing."Matoro unshielded his sword and drew it to. "You're on, he said"CHAPTER 93: THE DUEL OF THE TWO BROTHERsThe snow was falling like angels' tears except really cold over the two toa as they…

Quick update: I'd hoped to continue round 3 today, but unfortunately I won't be able to until Friday. I'll drop a link in /lg/ at that time.
Just enough time for a quick pair of posts tonight.>>1662903Only one room remains in the Residence Wing: r19. The chlorophyllic cryptid must be in there, unless it's half-magician as well as half-plant and half-man, and you're pretty sure fractions don't work like that. Additionally, by process of elimination, the power cell must be in there too. If it's not, then you'll really have a problem on your hands.Penkala readies her trusty flamethrower. Joy steadies her aim. Whitworth presses the button to open the door.
>>1668902Well, one out of two ain't bad.You step into a storage closet. There are a wide range of knickknacks on display, some more immediately useless than others. But much more importantly, that transparent blue thing sitting atop the overturned crate looks to be a power unit!————Feel free to leave orders here; I have a ren fair to attend to tomorrow, but I'll try to get to them in the evening.
>>1668939>Investigate the toolbox>Rub the oil lamp in the lower left
>>1668939The plantman is probably in r18. We retreated from there instead of going around the loop.
>>1669045The toolbox on the shelf is labeled "FOR EMERGENCY USE ONLY". Being stalked (stemmed?) by a murderous plantman probably qualifies. Whitworth opens the toolbox and empties it out.
>>1675624Inside you find some sort of weird orange lever device. It looks familiar somehow, but you're not certain why. Nonetheless, Whitworth pockets it just in case. Next, you turn your attention to lamp on the bottom shelf.
>>1675639The oil lamp is ancient—at least a hundred years old, you'd guess. Genre conventions dictate that rubbing it might release a magical, wish-granting genie, so Whitworth follows his instincts and tries to rub one out. Smoke begins to pour forth from the lamp and you brace yourself for a tearful reunion with your childhood idol Robin Williams.
>>1675711The Ghost of Teddy Roosevelt-as-Portrayed-by Robin-Williams erupts from the lamp with a bang. Somehow this makes a perverse sort of sense.GTRPRW: "Lad, I cannot extend to you enough thanks for freeing me from that lamp."W: "Oh, uh... it's—it's no problem...er, Mr. President."GTRPRW: "To repay your generosity, I believe it would be appropriate if I granted you a wish."J: "Infinite money!"P: "Pyrokinesis!"GTRPRW: "However! I can only grant your wish if it pertains to something within my jurisdiction. With that in mind, what will it be?"
>>1675765>Wish for indefinite tax break.>Burn the plantman who is hiding under the table with the power cell.
>>1676427W: "In that case...since you were sort of in charge of foreign affairs, I guess I wish for world pe—"J: "I wish for all our dealings to be completely ignored by the Intergalactic Revenue Services, forever, effective immediately."GTRPRW: "Wish granted!"In a flash of green light, Teddy (the ghost, not the bear) vanishes, leaving you feeling considerably freer to commit tax fraud. Once you get off Carpos Station and away from all the killer robots/plants, that is.Speaking of killer plants, you've noticed something green lurking in the margins of the photos again, which can mean only one thing...
>>1676475You're not falling for that trick again. With your weapons aimed at the crate, you slowly reach out to grab the power cell.
>>1676488The plantman writhes in agony as the flames engulf it, but in only a matter of moments, nothing remains but ash. Your adversary is finally vanquished, but not without sacrifice. The fire consumed the stolen buzzsaw as well, and Whitworth's laptop along with it.
>>1676492P: "There, there, lad. I'm sure it's in a better place now. Places, maybe. I see part of the screen over in that corner. Oh, and one of the keys melted onto the ground there..."A moment of silence may be in order.
Here lies Whitworth's laptopThread #1 - Thread #3
>>1676531Tears pour down like, say, snow falling over a pair of Toa in somebody's Bionicle fanfic, except much warmer, considerably more salty, and about as melodramatic. There was so much left to do together; so many joyful years snatched away in the blink of an eye by that loathsome plantman. Okay, maybe it didn't exactly have "eyes", but whatever. Your heart is reeling; your soul, a desolate wasteland in which no happiness shall ever sprout again. Kübler-Ross ain't got shit on this. Today you learned the true meaning of grief.Where will you go from here?
>>1676577>Take solace in the fact no one will be able to look up our browser history now.>Pick up the power cell>Try to recall what we needed it for.
>>1676605While Whitworth wallows in woe, Penkala and Joy haul the power cell out to the main hall. Teddy (the bear, not the ghost) is waiting there, as was his duty. Fortunately, there's been nothing to report while you were away, neither robot nor plant. He picks up the power cell for easy transport to...where was it again? Oh, right. The generator room.
>>1676639You trek across the station over a number of turns that don't merit depiction, from r8 all the way out to r24. Teddy loiters in r10 with the Rough Rider while you carry the power cell to its destination. It fits neatly into place at the center of the generator, and after a few moments, the machine begins to crackle and hum. The main power system is once more online, and that means the now you should be able to open the previously locked doors into r14. Only the research wing remains. With any luck, soon you'll be out of this nightmare of a station. What will you do?————————Leave your orders here and I'll start with them tomorrow as usual. We really are in the last leg of the adventure now. Thanks to everyone who's played so far!
>>1676655make our way towards the research wingthere'll be another adventure after this, right?
>>1676678Which door would you like to enter the research wing through: r4 or r7?Additionally, you have a chance right now to prepare your equipment. Each of the characters can carry 2 things, except for Joy, who can carry 5. You have:1 blaster1 large blaster1 Advanced Advance Lunge1 flamethrower1 lightsaber1 orange lever thing1 Journal of Dr. Cory Phil1 knife1 fork1 blender1 bottle of baby formula1 flask of something purple1 camera1 crystal frog1 acoustic guitar3 bottles of water2 bottles of wineWhat will you bring?————————Also, I'll definitely run another adventure after this if people are up for it. I have a few ideas in mind already.
>>1677356>Penkala: flamethrower, orange lever thing>Withworth: blaster, Advanced Advance Lunge>Joy: large blaster, lightsaber, flask of something purple>Stash the rest in the ship>Enter science wing from r7 because it's closer.
>>1677368Properly armed, you begin your investigation of the Research Wing from r7. The black doors swing open readily now that the damage to the station's power systems has been repaired. The air on the other side is eerily still, as though nothing has disturbed it in years. The emergency lockdown must have served as a sort of quarantine for this area. Was it keeping something out of the research wing, or trapping something inside?Teddy's sensor pod raises an alert. Around the corner are a crew of security bots, totally motionless. What will you do?
>>1679064>Hide behind Teddy>Loudly order the bots to turn off in the name of Owen Moore
>>1679164You hide out of sight while Teddy advances to meet the robots. Using the vocalization unit of the robot head mounted to the Rough Rider's shoulder, you address the gathered sentries in the soothing staccato of a British robot.T: [BY ORDER OF OWEN MOORE, ALL UNITS ARE TO STAND DOWN.]The crowned robot jolts into motion and responds.R: [VOCAL OVERRIDE WAS DISABLED ON 2007-11-28 BY DR. MOORE, O. CANNOT OVERRIDE CURRENT ORDER: ELIMINATE ALL ORGANICS ON CARPOS STATION, ISSUED 2007-11-28 BY DR. MOORE, O. SECURITY TERMINAL OVERRIDE REQUIRED.]The bots stand defiant, but at the same time, they seem unperturbed by the presence of Teddy alone. What will you do?
>>1679332>"State the location of the security terminal"
>>1679354R: [SECURITY TERMINAL LOCATED r32.]How convenient that these robots use the same room numbering system that you do! You'd add these details to the copy of the map downloaded to the Rough Rider. What will you do?
>>1679389>"Rogue organic detected in r36. It posesses significant combat capability. Passage too narrow for me. Requesting switching duties. I will guard this corridor while you exterminate the organic. Beware, it can move through the ventilation."
>>1679744T: [WHILE ON RECONNAISSANCE THIS UNIT DETECTED HOSTILE PLANT-BASED ORGANIC IN r36. HOSTILE EXTREMELY EVASIVE AND CAN TRAVERSE VENTILATION.]R: [REPORT STATUS OF HOSTILE.]T: [STATUS UNKNOWN. UNABLE TO ENGAGE DUE TO NARROW PASSAGE. REQUESTING DISPATCH TO r36 TO EXTERMINATE HOSTILE.]R: [REQUEST ACKNOWLEDGED. UNITS 14, 6, 21, AND 9 WILL ENGAGE HOSTILE IN r36. ARMOR UNIT 04 WILL ASSUME SENTINEL DUTY IN r14.]With a newfound purpose, the security bots march off to r36. You're fairly certain you killed whatever was in there with your flamethrower, but just in case you didn't, the bots hopefully will. At any rate, this will buy you a little time. What will you do?———————I'll leave it here for the night, but as usual, orders are welcome. I'll post in /lg/ when Funtron resumes.
>>1679778>Quickly investigate r13
>>1679793You poke your collective head into r13 while Teddy stands guard. Nothing too suspicious; just a couple terminals. What will you do?
>>1680227>Investigate the terminals
>>1680228Whitworth and Penkala each take a terminal while Joy watches the door. The right terminal reads out a list of projects undertaken by the staff of Carpos Station over the years.Measuring plant growth in non-Earthlike soils (A. Preston, A. Graft, & I. Levant)The effects of variant solar cycles of plant growth (A. Preston, A. Graft, & I. Levant)Oxygen production of bioengineered algae (A. Preston, A. Graft, I. Levant, & C. Phil)Bioengineered algae for use in terraforming (A. Preston, A. Graft, I. Levant, & C. Phil)ABORTED: Cross-species hybrids using bioengineered algae (A. Preston, A. Graft, I. Levant, & C. Phil)IN PROGRESS: Maximizing oxygen output of bioengineered algae (A. Preston, A. Graft, C. Phil, & O. Moore)IN PROGRESS: PROJECT BERTILAK (C. Phil & O. Moore)The other terminal appears to have been used to record the development of Project Bertilak. The screen awakens from sleep to display a half-completed log entry, but you lack the authorization to access any other files. The log reads as follows:071128 — OMThis is my final entry. Something has come over Cory—there is reason to believe it is Bertilak. We are all endangered. I had thought the project a failure, but it seems we succeeded in a sense. Anthy is injured; I have instructed her to flee. Al is at this moment activating the emergency protocol. I regret having involved them in this, and I pray they find a way to survive this, but I do not believe any of us will. While the security robots engage Bertilak, I will proceed to the terminal and issue the termination order. Even should it take us as it did Cory, there will be no way for it to override the robots. We shall all share a coffin in Carpos Station.I hear it approaching. Richard, when you read this, you know what you must do. I'm sorry to ask this of you, but...The log cuts off there. It does not appear to have ever been uploaded. What will you do?
>>1680331>In vestigate r15
>>1680343The door into r15 seems locked at first, but with a bit of force from Teddy, it eventually opens. Once inside, you see what had been causing the blockage: a thick coating of plants had grown over the back of the door, jamming it. The same appears to be true of the door into r28. You'd guess this room is the one called "Farm". Something about this place is giving you an unpleasant vibe, and it's not just your pollen allergies.Orders?
>>1680361>Investigate the terminal, then burn everything.
>>1680364Whitworth goes over to check out the terminal. It takes a moment to wake from sleep mode, and when it does, immediately you hear something rumbling underground.Fertilizer system activated.
>>1680376BURN IT ALL! BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!
>>1680376You may be in some deep shit or, rather, fertilizer.Orders?
>>1680393Time to slash and burn. You begin retreating while firing on the advancing wave of plant monsters. However, Whitworth is mobbed by slugs as he attempts to escape, losing 1 HP.
>>1680420Within moments, Whitworth is buried under a pile of the disgusting, slimy creatures. Penkala takes 1 HP of damage as well from a slug that manages to slip past the curtain of flames. Only Joy is able to fend them off with the help of her lightsaber.Whitworth is unable to move due to the slugs. Orders?
>>1680425>Teddy: crush the slugs underfeet.>Joy: hel[ the others using the lightsaber.
>>1680432Teddy decides it's time for some rough riding while Penkala wrangles a slug in close quarters. She attempts to use the orange lever thing as a knife, but it seems ineffectual on these single-part enemies. Fortunately, the trusty flamethrower always works.
>>1680514Joy advances into the farm to save Whitworth with blaster and saber in hand.
>>1680516Whitworth is in dire need of saving, now down to 1 HP. Joy manages to knock off one of the slugs without hitting him, but now their attention is on her.
>>1680520She does not enjoy her turn under the limelight, nor under the lime green slugs, and takes 1 HP damage.
>>1680527However, Whitworth, now free of the plant monsters that were mobbing him, manages to gather enough of his wits together to finish off the last two.
>>1680533You regroup and look out over the carnage of the battlefield. The farm is in flaming ruins and your team isn't doing much better. Joy and Penkala are at 2 HP each, while Whitworth is at 1 HP. You have 2 medicine remaining. What will you do?
>>1680539>Close the door and quickly go to r28 before the security bots return.
>>1680539give a medicine to whitworth
>>1680568>>1680594You retreat to r14 to tend to your wounds. There's just enough medicine to bring Whitworth back to 2 HP, but doing so completely exhausts your supply. The security robots have yet to return from their wild space-goose chase, so you take the opportunity to enter r28 unnoticed.
>>1680678The corridor is uncomfortably narrow—too narrow for Teddy to join you. You leave him posted in r14 to deal with the bots if/when they return. Where will you go?
>>1680681try that red door
>>1681127You check the unusual-looking red door to r29. It's sealed tight and doesn't budge when you try to open it. There's no sign of a keyhole or number pad or the like; perhaps it's being locked from afar. What will you do?
>>1681192try the door to r29
>>1681289>>1681292With r29 apparently locked, you decide to investigate r27 instead. You hope you don't encounter any security robots there, considering your wounds and Teddy's absence. However, when you open the door and find your wish granted, you're not exactly relieved.
>>1681411The blood on the operating table and the floor is quite old and dry, but there sure was a lot of it. On the blackboard, some scarcely visible diagrams depict what looks to be the human brain, an actual specimen of which sits in a jar on the lab counter. You're not sure what half the machines in here do, and you suspect you're better off that way. What will you do?
>>1681435>Remove plant>Search for medical supplies and/or herbicide
