>>Information

This quest, as the title suggests, takes place in the world of Dragon Ball. You're playing as a thirty year old man named Tofoo, and will adventure through the story of the Dragonball series alongside characters such as Goku, Yamcha, Bulma, Tien, and many others. Through your actions, you can make significant changes to the story, and perhaps even become the strongest fighter on Earth.

>Rules

At the end of each update you'll have ten minutes to vote on options. Write-ins are allowed, but I do reserve the right to veto them.

In the event of a draw, the option to receive the next vote wins

Rolls will be used on certain occasions, such as attempting a technique for the first time or attempting something extremely difficult. You will have three rolls, and if one succeeds, you succeed. There are no crits.

Rolls are made AFTER an option wins, not during the voting process

I hope everyone has fun.

The wind blows through the now-lifeless berg, the only sound to be heard as the only two living creatures in the area stare one-another down.

Piccolo looks understandably horrified by what he's just witnessed. From your spot on the Lookout, you feel quite sick to your stomach from the spectacle. That thing, on the other hand, continues to look toward the Namekian with that disgusting smile of his. Just looking at it makes you squirm. Even without having just observed him suck the life out of a human being with that terrifying tail, you'd be able to tell there's something very wrong with the creature from one look at its hideous face.

"Tofoo," Popo's voice cuts into the vision. "What's happened? Is Kami-I mean, is Piccolo okay?"

"I can see what had Kami so worried," you answer Popo. "Some kind of monster's appeared."

"Oh, my..." Popo gasps.

You continue watching as the creatures moves its tail back and forth behind it, and Piccolo finally breaks the silence.

He scowls. "Alright monster, how do you know my name? And what have you done to these people?"

The creature chuckles. "Sorry, but I don't like to make a habit of talking to my food."

The creature locks its elbows at its sides, clenching its hands into fists. It lets out a yell that comes pretty close to a shriek, and a violent burst of wind shoots from around his body as his power begins to climb.

Piccolo raises an arm to shield his eyes, but suddenly drops it, staring at the creature-wide-eyed and confused.

For your part, you're experiencing similar sensations. What you're feeling from that creature makes absolutely no sense. You swear you can feel Piccolo's energy coming from the monster. But, not only that; you feel Goku, Kori, Yamcha, Krillin, Chi-Chi, Konattsu, Tenshinhan, Chaozu, Ox King, Roshi, Shen, Lapis, Freeza, his father, Cooler, Cooler's Armored Squadron, Slug, Turles, their men, Nappa, Vegeta, Raditz, and even your own. And you swear that there are other energies lurking around within that monstrous thing, but you can't understand why.

It's just one creature, right? And most of the individuals you're sensing are either dead, or here on the Lookout. So why do you feel all of their energies coming from it?

Piccolo is sent sliding back by the ever-increasing current of wind, his cape billowing violently behind him. The creature, meanwhile, continues to shriek as his power climbs higher and higher, finally reaching its apex in an explosive flash, and obliterating the street beneath the two of them.

Smoke and dust surround the pair, but they maintain sight of one-another rather easily.

The creature's eyes are that of a predator eyeing its defenseless prey and preparing to make the kill. Piccolo's, on the other hand, are still full of confusion and unmistakable fear.

The power from the beast is impressive indeed. It's certainly greater than that belonging to either you or Goku, or Piccolo less than an hour ago. Still, you aren't sure of the Namekian's full-power.

Perhaps he has a chance.

"I don't blame you for being frightened," the creature remarks to Piccolo. "It's only natural, given what you're faced with."

"And what's that?" Piccolo demands.

"Your killer," the creature answers, taking another step forward. "Feel free to resist, but understand that it's futile. You could make things so much easier for yourself and simply submit. I promise it won't hurt for long."

Piccolo stares at the beast, a smirk coming to his face, accompanied by a chuckle.

The creature stops, eyes widening a fraction of a centimeter.

The chuckling soon develops into full-blown laughter, and the creature looks entirely taken aback.

"I don't know what you are, monster, but it's obvious that you don't know who I am, either," Piccolo tells his foe, reaching up to remove his turban.

As the Namekian throws the turban and cape to the side, the creature regains its confident demeanor, letting out some laughter of his own.

"Oh? Then who are you?"

Piccolo smirks. "Let me show you."

Placing one foot back, the Namekian lets out a yell, power exploding from him even faster than it did from his opponent, creating a tempest that sends nearby cars tumbling down what's left of the street, and sending the wide-eyed monster sliding away.

"So, are you beginning to get an idea?" Piccolo questions.

"This can't be your power," the creature insists.

"You're right," Piccolo tells him. "It's just the tip of the iceberg."

A massive burst of energy explodes from the Namekian, and you lose sight of both fighters in a blinding flash. It's only when the light dies down that you're able to see Piccolo right where he was before.

The creature, however, is no longer there.

And, neither is the city, for that matter.

"Okay, what in the world was that?" Krillin asks from nearby.

"Piccolo's showing his true power," you answer. "He's up against some creature that could tear Goku and I apart easily."

"Creature?" Krillin asks fearfully.

You nod. "The weird thing about it is that somehow it has energy that's similar to everybody here, not to mention a lot of the people we've fought before."

"Wait, it has all of our energy?" Krillin asks in disbelief. "What kind of monster is Piccolo fighting?"

You watch the creature sit up from beneath a pile of rubble, chunks of what was once a building sliding off of it as it looks ahead in surprise.

It doesn't even get the chance to pick itself off the ground before Piccolo swoops in, bending down and throwing a left-handed uppercut into the creature's gut, forcing it to hunch over as he continues flying, dragging the stunned beast along with him. You see a glow come from Piccolo's closed fist, and the creature lets out a surprised cry as its sent sliding back into another pile of former building, which collapses on top of it.

Piccolo seems to vanish into thin air as the creature seems to get up much more quickly this time. Still, it has no time to react before Piccolo strikes from behind, spinning and kicking the creature in the back.

The disgusting thing is thrown forward from the impact, but spins around, dropping onto all-fours and sliding backward through the dirt, digging its fingers and toes into the ground to slow its movement, until it finally comes to a halt.

Piccolo rushes in for another attack, but this time, the creature strikes, thrusting its tail toward your Namekian ally. Piccolo moves his upper body, twisting his left side back to avoid being stabbed by the pointed tip at the end of the tail.

Yelling in attack, the creature thrusts its tail toward Piccolo again, climbing back to its feet and stabbing over and over toward its enemy, each time coming terrifyingly close to impaling Piccolo with it.

The Namekian backpedals, looking rather worried as he continues to avoid the tail, which seems to get just a little bit closer each time. Finally, he manages to grab hold of it with his right hand, giving a squeeze and kicking with his left leg. He catches the monster in the jaw, and it slides back a few feet, lowering its head to look at Piccolo, and opening its mouth wide and letting out a yell.

A beam of light fires forward, and you swear you feel a burst of your own energy as the beam strikes Piccolo, forcing the Namekian to release his grip, and allowing the creature to leap back, stopping once it's gained some distance.

As Piccolo recovers from the surprise-attack, the creature raises two fingers, bringing them to its forehead, and beginning to gather energy.

"Wait, did that thing just use the Bear Shout?" you ask. "Son of a bitch is stealing my moves!"

"Hold on a second," Lapis tells you. "You guys were going to Gero's lab earlier, right? What happened there?"

On the battlefield, a stunned Piccolo trembles as the creature gathers energy in its two fingers, which begin to crackle with light.

"Makankosappo!" it roars, thrusting its arm toward Piccolo and unleashing a spiraling beam of light.

As Piccolo retreats into the air, you take the time to answer Lapis.

"Sixteen was activated," you answer.

"Sixteen?" Krillin asks, sounding horrified. "You mean the one that got Kori and Konattsu killed in the future?"

The creature laughs, taking to the sky and closing in on Piccolo.

"What's wrong, Namekian?" it challenges as it grows closer. "Are you finally realizing how doomed you are?!"

Piccolo growls, unleashing beams of energy from his eyes, stopping the creature in its tracks with a mighty blast. A cloud of smoke forms around it, and a moment later, the beast begins to plummet toward the ground, steam rising from its body.

"Tofoo!" Krillin cuts in. "Did they activate the Android that killed Kori and Konattsu?"

Barely paying attention, you nod. "We damaged the pod, but there's no telling if that weakened him or anything."

Piccolo pulls his hands to his sides, balls of light forming over his palms. With a yell, he begins thrusting his arms toward the creature, sending a rain of hellfire crashing down upon his grounded foe.

"Tofoo, you aren't getting it," Krillin tells you, frustrated. "Sixteen was the one that could detect people from the other side of the planet, right?"

Your heart stops. Now you know where he's going with this.

"And you said that Piccolo's using his full power," Krillin continues. "The Androids could be heading right for him!"

"Dammit!" you swear, leaving the battle behind as you frantically search for the deadly machines.

No luck. Whether due to their mechanical nature, or your own lack of training, you can't find the trio.

"Piccolo's going to need our help!" Krillin insists. "We should-"

Before your friend can finish his thought, Lapis leaps off the side of the Lookout, his power flaring as he races in the direction of Piccolo's energy.

"Popo, do you know a way for me to get there quickly?" you ask Kami's-your assistant.

He nods frantically. "Follow me."

Turning, he rushes toward the Lookout entrance, and you race after him, making your way through the halls of the Lookout until you reach a room that you vaguely remember from your time training here.

Popo throws the door open, revealing a relatively small room with an odd machine in it. Popo runs over to it, messing with the controls as sweat drips down his face.

"You remember where to stand, right?" he asks as he continues to toy with the controls.

Even if you didn't, there's a relatively obvious circle on the ground nearby. You step into it and look toward Popo, who pulls a lever on the machine.

Next thing you know, you're standing beside Piccolo, in front of a bewildered creature, who turns his head to look between you and your ally.

"What?" he questions. "Tofoo as well? This is unexpected...."

"Tofoo?" Piccolo asks, turning his head toward you in shock. "What in the world are you doing here?"

You don't know how much you should explain in front of this creature. This thing could end up helping the Androids kill you for all you know. You decide to err on the side of caution, in this case.

"I came to help," you say aloud. "The two of us need to get out of here."

The creature laughs, crossing its arms. "Well, one of you knows there's no stopping me. But, I'm afraid you won't be going anywhere. The two of you are going to make a most appetizing feast, perhaps enough to slake my hunger."

"Tofoo, I can handle this freak on my own," Piccolo assures you. "You shouldn't have come."

He's not understanding your real reason for being here. You want to tell him, but with the monster present, you see only one way to safely do that.

You don't use telepathy often, but with enough focus, you can manage. Closing your eyes, you reach out to Piccolo's mind, telling him that Sixteen could very well be on his way here right now.

His reply is only two words.

"LOOK OUT!"

Your eyes snap open, and you see the creature charging for you, letting out insane laughter as it thrusts its tail toward you.

You just barely manage to avoid the creature's tail by twisting your body out of the way, but as the tail retracts, the creature rushes forward, stunning you with a bone-shattering punch to the face.

As you begin to stagger back, it spins around, its tail slamming into your gut and sending you sliding on your back across the ground. The blow knocks the wind out of you, and between that and the punch, you can barely move beyond twitching pathetically on the ground.

The creature comes running, continuing its insane laughter as it raises its tail, preparing to stab downward and do to you what it did to the people of this town.

"STOP!" Piccolo roars, swooping in and kicking the creature in the side of the head.

The kick throws the creature off its feet, and sends it flying far away from the two of you. Once it recovers, it lands a good distance away and begins to approach once again.

Piccolo growls, his energy spiking as wind begins to pick up around him.

"Enough of this..." he spits. "Whatever you are, whatever you're trying to accomplish, it ends here!"

The creature stops in its tracks, eyes narrowing and tail slowly moving back and forth behind its back as it watches Piccolo.

As Piccolo's energy continues to climb, you manage to force yourself back to your feet, fighting through the pain of Cell's blows, and your body's reluctance to move following such savage attacks. You feel a twinge of regret for stopping your bear training for so long. Otherwise, you wouldn't be in such bad shape.

"KUMA-KEN!" you shout, feeling your own power climb as a green aura surrounds your body.

The creature looks over at you, surprised.

Thrusting your hands toward it, you fire two energy attacks; one normal, and one electric following right behind it. This helped you against Kori during training, hopefully it will help you destroy this monster.

The creature laughs as the first blast hits it to no effect, but when the second strikes it, its body begins to twitch, and it lets out a surprised gasp.

Piccolo, momentarily distracted by your actions, and looking ready to chew you out for getting in the way, nonetheless turns his focus back to the monster, raising his hands and channeling energy. For the next several seconds, his power climbs higher and higher, until he finally strikes.

"MASENKO!" he bellows, thrusting his hands toward the beast and unleashing a massive golden wave of energy.

Your view of the creature is obstructed within a second of the blast being unleashed. And, a moment later, the thing's energy vanishes altogether as Piccolo's blast eradicates everything for miles. Not only is the ruined city looking more and more like a barren wasteland, but the roadway in the distance has also been reduced to nothing. You can't tell how far that blast went, but you know that nothing in its path survived.

Piccolo, breathing heavily, looks in the direction of his attack, eyes scanning the area for any sign that the creature survived.

You sense nothing.

"Piccolo, Sixteen has long range energy sensors. We need to go, now!" you shout.

"I'm afraid it's too late for that, Tofoo," an annoying voice declares from behind you.

Sixteen is tall, very tall. His hair is red, styled in a mohawk, and he wears a green outfit that looks almost like armor to you. Something about him looks familiar to you, but you can't really put your finger on it.

Standing side-by-side with a slightly-winded Piccolo, you prepare yourself to face the newest Android to join the ranks of your enemies. Trunks warned you about Sixteen; this Android is capable of tracking his prey across the globe, and was responsible for the deaths of both Kori and Konattsu in the timeline your son returned from.

Even with Piccolo's increase in power, this is sure to be a difficult battle.

"Tell me something, Tofoo," Gero instructs as the red-headed machine continues its slow approach. "Does Number Sixteen look at all familiar to you?"

"Now that you mention it, yeah," you confess to the cyborg. "Why is that?"

"Because he should look familiar to you," Gero answers, venom in his voice. "Number Sixteen was built in the image of my son, the one you and your little friends murdered! Sixteen! No mercy! Kill them both!"

The android nods, stopping his approach and holding out his right hand toward you, clenching his hand into a fist and staring you down.

Something about that thing unnerves you. Perhaps it's the knowledge of what he did in that other timeline, maybe it's the fact that you're essentially looking at the face of a man you and your friends killed, or maybe you're just on edge with all that's happened these past few days. Whatever the case, you can't seem to shake this unease.

"Tofoo. Target priority: two," Sixteen announces.

"Aww, only two?" you question, doing your best to sharpen up your defenses in the meantime.

"Second only to Son Goku," Sixteen explains before making his move.

You certainly aren't expecting what comes next. The android's right fist, and a good portion of his arm detach from the rest of his body, shooting toward you like a rocket. Planting your feet firmly on the ground, you hold out your right hand, fist open and waiting for the flying fist.

The fist strikes your palm, and you're pushed back fast. Your feet dig into the dirt, gradually slowing you down until you finally come to a stop, though by that point you can barely see Piccolo and the other two androids.

Tossing the fist aside, you spot Sixteen sprinting toward you, holding the handless arm toward you as he leaps, taking to the air and coming even faster. You see a light form, and quickly leap off the ground, the spot you were just standing on being consumed in an Earth-rocking explosion.

Sixteen adjusts his aim, and you swerve just in time to avoid another blast, a powerful gust at your back as the attack detonates somewhere behind you. He clutches his arm, firing off another volley of blasts, but you manage to stay one step ahead of each one.

In the meantime, you spot Piccolo rushing toward the Android, clearly intending a sneak-attack. Sixteen begins to turn his head, apparently having detected the Namekian's approach.

"Look out!" you shout to your ally.

Sixteen spins, firing a wave of energy from his handless arm. Piccolo drops down onto all fours, allowing the blast to pass right over him, and glares toward the machine.

Opening his mouth, Piccolo unleashes a wave of energy from his gullet, which slams into Sixteen's chest, and sends the machine sliding back, smoke rising from its armor.

"Discrepancies noted," Sixteen says to himself. "Multiple energy signatures detected within Namekian entity."

Sixteen's focused on Piccolo, so you decide to follow the green-man's example.

Racing down toward Sixteen, you close in as if to make an attack from behind, but at the last moment, you use the Afterimage technique, moving to the front of the machine's body and winding up in a crouch. Channeling energy into your right fist, you spring upward and throw a Bear Claw at the android's jaw.

Sixteen's remaining hand catches your fist in its palm, and the handless-arm points at your face. Essentially, you're staring down the barrel of a loaded gun.

As light begins to appear, Piccolo swoops in and kicks Sixteen in the side of the head, this time managing to knock the android to the ground, and freeing you from its grip. Landing in front of you, Piccolo stares in the direction of the android, which quickly begins to get back to its feet, retrieving its missing arm from the ground in the meantime, and reattaching it.

You turn your head toward the other two androids, only to see them racing toward you at high speed.

"Piccolo, Sixteen has backup!" you warn as the pair draw closer.

"Deal with them!" he tells you. "I'll take the big guy down!"

Piccolo rushes toward Sixteen, leaving you to fend off the other two foes on your own. Great, just what you needed. He remembers that you couldn't even defeat Twenty on your own, right?

Whatever, you don't have much choice. You and Piccolo are on your own out here, so a fair fight probably isn't in the cards.

Clenching your teeth, you drop into a defensive stance and ready yourself to face these two monsters. As they draw closer, you do your best to remember how to fight on the defensive properly. Such a strategy was once the backbone of your combat routine, but now, you seem to have lost your touch at it.

Keep your stance low to the ground, make yourself as solid as possible. Don't leave openings over your vital areas, and if you're struck, fight through any pain and pay it back twofold.

You can do this.

The two Androids begin to swoop in, firing beams of light from their eyes, probably hoping to make you dodge and create an opening of some kind. No dice.

You cross your arms in front of your body, letting the beams strike them. With a yell, you uncross your arms, pushing away what's left. Nineteen and Twenty seems somewhat surprised, but the clown-like creature moves in to strike, making a head-on attack.

It throws a punch, but you grab hold of its wrist, glaring into its soulless eyes before kicking upward with all of your might, catching it in the jaw as you release its wrist.

Nineteen is sent soaring, but Gero moves in next, hoping to catch you unawares.

Once again, you surprise him, lowering your leg back into place and ducking beneath his palm-strike. Before he can react, you throw a punch to his gut, throwing him off his feet and sending him flying back.

He manages to get his feet back onto the ground shortly thereafter, and slides back for another second or two before coming to a stop. You notice with some amusement that he's slightly hunched over, and gripping the spot you hit.

A shift in the air grabs your attention, and you look up to see Nineteen racing down toward you, arms at his sides and eyes locked on you.

Either he's going to fire eye beams, or he's going to ram you.

Whatever Nineteen's doing, you're going to stand your ground and face it like a man. While you don't ignore Twenty altogether, the clown has your attention, and when he speeds up to ram you, you're ready for him.

You raise your right arm, and his head slams into it a moment later, the impact sending out shockwaves and shattering the ground beneath your feet, resulting in you sinking into a crater.

The pain in your arm is quite intense, reminding you that while you seem to remember how to fight defensively, your endurance is not what it once was.

Nevertheless, you're still entirely capable of paying the android back, and as it continues to push against your right arm, your left hand moves over its gut. Focusing your energy, you create a blade of light that extends from your arm, stabbing Nineteen through the gut.

The android looks back, stunned.

You can't afford to keep playing with Nineteen like this. Lowering your arm, you bring Nineteen down to a level you can more easily reach with your foot, and kick him in the top of the head, sending him sliding down on the sword, which slices through his upper body and head.

Nineteen falls to the ground at your feet, sparks crackling in its ruined body as the "life" leaves it.

One down, two to go.
