OPENING CRAWL: http://brorlandi.github.io/StarWarsIntroCreator/#!/AKTjy2VjkQBEpB9AEgU-

The remnants of the Kuat defense fleet were still in hyperspace on the way to Coruscant. You were assured by Commander Kohlenkau that you’d arrive in the morning after bedtime. Not really good news considering what happened to Kuat. Most of the girls were despondent. Kuat was their spiritual home, not just for them but for all Starship Girls. They may not have been born there but they felt a spiritual connection there that connected them to all Starship Girls and to the starships they represented.

And it was now in the hands of the Vong.

You can’t blame yourself though. Obviously you won’t ever blame yourself for anything, most everything is something else’s fault. But the fact of the matter is that the Empire as a whole lost that battle. You were outnumbered, outgunned, and outsmarted. And the Empire has paid dearly in lives and ships. You assured the girls that you’ll come back for Kuat one day.

But…

You sigh, walking along the quiet halls of the Lucifuge. You couldn’t get any sleep. Not at all. So you just tried to walk off the restlessness until you were tuckered out. Didn’t work really. But you figured you could force yourself asleep after a half hour of walking and scaring crewmen with your presence. “Still awake?” You stop, then turn to one of the doors. Standing in the doorway is Resolute. She has her arms folded, her eyebrow crooked up in curiosity.

“Yeah,” you say. “You?”

“Yes.” She adjusts her glasses a little. Her nightdress was definitely a welcome sight, hugging that incredibly curvy body of hers. Ooohh yes. She coughs, clearing her throat and pointing to her eyes. “Admiral.”

“I know where your eyes are,” you state. She rolls her eyes. “Sorry if I woke you. I was just restless.”

“It’s fine,” she says. “I-… I just had a nightmare as all.” She looks down, kicking her feet at the floor. “So… I was already awake.”

“Well, hey.” You smirk, pointing your thumb to your room. “I have my own room. You’re always welcome to stay the night if you’re that lonely.” She stares at you, as if considering it. Still though, she looks away, tapping her fingers along her arms.

> “Or don’t. It’s fine.”
> “Come on! It’ll be fun.”

You lean against the wall. “Come on, Resolute. Tell me what your nightmare was about.”

She sighs, grumbling. “Well… it was-…” She shrugs. “I don’t know how to describe it. It’s like a memory. I can see ships like me. I can see fighters, I can see Jedi. But I-… I also see dark things. Destruction. Devastation. Death. And at the end of it I’m dead. And I can feel everything. Pain and suffering. It’s all jumbled together.” You nod slowly. Hm. Perhaps she’s thinking about to the service of the actual Resolute? Interesting. “I tell you what though. I did see that Princess in my dreams. You know the one.”

Ah. The Super Princess. “Yeah.”

“I thought to myself what would’ve happened if I hadn’t tried to save Tellstar,” she says. “And I guess that kind of snowballed into my dreams. I thinking ahead like that. Sometimes I wish I could be like the corvettes, you know? Live for the moment, not have to worry about the future. It seems like a good way to live life.”

“Well, hey.” You grin, tilting your head. “You know I live for the moment too.”

“Yeah, you’re the reason it’s not a good idea,” she states. Hmph. “Well. Anyway, thank you for listening, Admiral. I don’t… I’m sorry for troubling like this.”

“It’s no bother,” you say. “Anyway. I should head to sleep then. Good night, Resolute.” You turn to your room and start walking.

“Wait.” You stop, turning back around. Resolute rubs her arm, a very stern expression on her face. And yet, a blush creeps heavily on her cheeks. “I… Can you sleep with me tonight, Admiral?” Ooooohhhhh.

“Ooh, sure thing, Resolute.” You smile, sidling on up to her. She steps back, giving you a glance up and down your body skeptically. “Tell you what, do you want it just be the two of us or do you think I should get the corvettes too? Just so you know, they are safe you know.” You place your hands on your hips. She takes your hand however. “Eh?”

“Just you. Don’t worry about the corvettes.” She slowly leads you inside of her room. “Don’t assume we’re up to any funny business either. I-… I just don’t like sleeping alone.” Hmph. So she chooses you? She must be desperate.

Regardless though, you do have to acquiesce to her demands. She is your Starship Girl. Nothing like spoiling her with your chiseled body and your warm hands, hehe.

-

-

You open your eyes. It must be morning finally. Resolute lays on top of you, snoring soundly. To your disappointment, she really did just want to sleep with you. And not in the metaphorical sense. Regardless, you’re not that disappointed. Body like hers? Never. You yawn, squinting your eyes and blinking the sleep out of them.

Right, time to get an early start. You should be arriving at Coruscant soon and-

You mouth to Redemption “Nightmares.” Redemption nods, understanding. She places the tray of food at Resolute’s night stand, then leans in and whispers to you. “Commander Kohlenkau is reporting we have arrived at Coruscant.” Right, right. “We will be docking at one of the orbital defense stations there, Admiral. Apparently the Emperor wishes to speak to you personally. He wants to be personally debriefed on what happened at Kuat. ” The-…

The Emperor!? You sit up, almost rousing Resolute. Thankfully, she seems deep in her sleep. She grumbles a little, curling up before relaxing again. The Emperor!? THE EMPEROR! OH THIS IS NOT GOOD! YOU’VE NEVER EXPECTED TO MEET HIM! NO NO NO YOU CAN’T YOU CAN’T. Redemption tilts her head. “Admiral?”

You hold up a hand, stopping her. “Thank you, Redemption.” She nods.

AAAHHHH!

NO! THIS IS NOT GOOD AT ALL!

“I’m fine,” you say. “I just need some time to dress up and ready myself for this honor of facing the Emperor and giving him my personal debrief.” Redemption smiles. “You’re dismissed.” She nods, standing up and walking out of the room. You gently push Resolute off of you, then stand up out of the bed. You’re going to meet the Emperor. You’re going to see the Emperor. She’s going to ask you why Kuat fell. He’s going to ask how you survived and how Admiral Reike, your Father, and possibly Lord Vader didn’t. He’s going to ask why the Empire is down two or three full fleets along with at least a dozen Starship Girls not to mention all the lives lost.

Prosecutor buttons your jacket for you as you stand in your room. “There we go.” She smiles happily. “A true Mandalorian would be proud of how you look, Admiral.” Yes, yes. Prosecutor had your uniform pressed and ready for you even before she learned what the occasion was. She has been quiet about it though all things considered. Maybe she’s nervous too? She opens the door. “Well, we should be going.”

“Yes, yes.” You step outside, smiling. Oooohh this is going to be terrible. But before your dread could consume you, the corvettes practically flew past. “Whoa! Hey!” You look to them as they turn around, stopping. “What’s the rush!?”

Agility bounces in place, grinning. “We’re going to see Coruscant!”

“The whole planet is one big city!” yells Black Hawk.

“Can we go shopping, Admiral!? Can we? Can we!?” asks Sundered Heart. Tellstar simply bounces in place with them, quiet about her requests.

“Ugh. Fine. But you’re going to need someone to chaperone you I suppose.” The four corvettes all bounce up and down cheerfully, grinning happily. “Plus. Technically, you don’t earn a salary like we do anyway. So you’re going need the chaperone to leech money off of.” They keep bouncing up and down, ignoring that. “Right. Who to send? F4’s just a droid… Hm.”

Idea.

-

-

Commander Kohlenkau stares at you while all the corvettes hop and run around her happily, waiting eagerly to go into the city and be free. “… you’re making me chaperone these ships.”

“Yes,” you say. “Problem?”

She looks like she has so many problems with this, but has no idea how to actually articulate it. Especially because you are her superior. Hmph! She sighs. “No, -sir.- I haven’t any problem with this. I will chaperone them to the nearest store. And perhaps I will buy them candy too.” They stop in their tracks, and immediately crowd around Commander Kohlenkau’s sides, drooling with stars in their eyes. “Why did I say that.”

“Very good.” You happily pat Tellstar on the head. “Try to stay out of trouble.”

With that, the two of you elect to take separate shuttles. Prosecutor and F4 accompany you to the Imperial Palace, where Emperor Palpatine sits upon his throne. You’ll be giving him the personal debrief in his throne room. Hopefully his guards will keep him from killing you. Prosecutor looks to you. “Admiral, you look nervous, are you okay?”

AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH

“Not really,” you state. Urge to kill self rising. The Emperor is going to make you suffer for the defeat, you’re sure of it! Your hopes and dreams of having a harem of Starship Girls, of having children with all of them too! Maybe not the corvettes until they’re older, but still! It’s gone, all gone! Everything is gone!

Prosecutor takes your hand, clutching it tightly. Eh? You look down at her, and she smiles proudly at you. “Admiral. No matter what happens, you are my Admiral. Whatever happens inside those doors will not change you. And if you are relieved, I will never fight under another Admiral.” Prosecutor… Such loyalty. It actually moves you.

No. Okay, you can do this. You have to put on a brave face at least for her. You can do this.

The shuttle arrives at the Imperial Palace.

-

-

You are escorted in by a force of ten guards, the Emperor’s Red Guards. The Imperial Palace is dark, brooding, and absolutely imposing. Just you and Prosecutor are the only outsiders it seems. No official dignitaries, no ambassadors, not even the Moffs are around. It was so cold, lifeless, it was if the very spirit of the place was sucked out of this building.

You come up to two very large doors, elaborately carved into it were elegant flowing designs like a river cascading down a mountain. As you recall, the Imperial Palace used to be the home of the Jedi Order, before they were eradicated. This must’ve been some kind of leftover of their old forgotten ways. The doors are opened, allowing the two of you to step in. The light of the cities shine in, but are defeated by the overwhelming darkness of the inside. You and Prosecutor step into the light, and see the throne itself.

And there, sitting upon his throne, was the Emperor himself. He was cast in shadow, with only his sickly old hands visible. And yet… you could feel terror going down your spine. The two of you kneel. “Your highness.”

He growls, clutching the armrest of his throne. “Why… does this swine continue to live!?” he hisses.

… oh fierfek.

> THE EMPEROR <
> Ruler of the Galactic Empire <

The color is drained from your face. It was nice knowing you, girls, all of you.

However, stepping out of the shadow now was one of his Red Guards, helmetless and formal looking. His head was shaven with a scar over his eye. “Sir. This is the Admiral you requested. He is the sole surviving commanding officer. You insisted he debrief us personally.”

“Feh.” The Emperor taps his fingers, glaring at you. He wheezes, coughing and sputtering before quickly recomposing himself. “What news? Why is Kuat fallen to the Vong?”

“When we captured the Vong Princess Lusankya, the Yuuzhan Vong gathered a massive force with which to rescue her. We attempted to defend Kuat as best we could, but unfortunately incompetence from Admiral Figuroa along with the massive overwhelming numbers of Vong ships resulted in our defeat.” You take a deep breath. Don’t say you fought to the last man, don’t say you fought to the last man. “Lord Vader decided it would be more prudent to retreat with what assets we had left rather than fight to the last man. And I believe he made the correct decision, your highness.”

The Emperor rubs his arm rest a little, mulling over it. “And what of Lord Vader?”

“We still haven’t heard from him.” You blink, looking closely at him. The Emperor breathes heavily. You can see the faint sheen of what looks to be metal where his face should be. Is… is that a breath mask?

“And of the other commanders?”

“Admiral Reike, General Kalani, and Admiral Figuroa are unfortunately dead,” you state. You don’t bring up your father. “They entrusted me to escape with what remnant forces we had left. I already have the full report on what ships are left ready to be sent over to you, your highness.”

The Emperor sighs, scratching at the armrest. “… right. Very well. You have done well then considering the situation, Admiral.” You nod. “However, we have been dealt a catastrophic blow. Without the factories of Kuat, the Empire’s production will not be able to match the Vong’s ability to replace its own ships and materiel. We are in a cris-“ He slams his fist on the throne, coughing and wheezing loudly. His advisor stands stock still, ignoring it. The Emperor catches his breath. “… a crisis. Admiral.” You stand stiff. “Is Lusankya still with us?”

“Y-… Yes, your highness,” you state. “She is on my ship now ready to be delivered to Imperial Labs.”

“No.” He tilts his head, then leans forward into the light. You can see now the damage. The Emperor wears a breath mask over his face, with two tubes running out of it to a breathing machine behind his throne. He only has one good glowing yellow eye, the other is a very stark cybernetic red. His skin is flaked, not a pale gray but an almost sickly green-gray. His guttural growl fills you and Prosecutor with fear. But what he says next chills to you the bone.

“Bring her to me.”

Massive numerical disadvantage and discrepancies between how individual shipgirl fleets were handled.

Because let's be honest here, Vader literally had to choke out one of the other Admirals for gross incompetence, Reike basically over-disciplined his fleet and their morale shattered under stress, etc. Pretty much anyone who wasn't us or Vader was a train wreck.

You explained to the Emperor further that Lusankya is the most probable reason the Vong invaded Kuat when they had all the time in the world to do it beforehand. They possibly wanted to rescue her, or at least make sure she wouldn’t give up anything useful like what happened when the Empire first found the Life Crystals. You, Prosecutor, his guards and his advisor, and the Emperor walk along the halls of the Imperial Palace. Prosecutor had already called in a team to bring Lusankya in. As much as you wanted to refuse, how could you? The Emperor would kill you with but a look.

He floats around in his chair, still breathing raggedly through his mask. “While I do not condone retreat, Admiral. I suppose I must commend you for the retrieval of the specimen. She will be a valuable asset to have when we figure out how to make her fight for us.”

“Fight for us?” you ask. “How?”

“I have spent… decades of my life perfecting the art of manipulation, Admiral,” says the Emperor. “The researchers report that you have already confirmed that this Lusankya is lucid and able to think. We cannot force her body to fight for us. But the mind, if we control that, the body follows naturally. Understand?” You nod. Simple enough you suppose. “Her mind will be opened up to the greatness of the Empire. And if it cannot be opened… I will force it open,” he growls.

“Very… Very good, your highness,” you say.

“I don’t disagree, your highness. But I have spent a lot of time speaking with the Princess. She may be sympathetic to our cause. I think I myself could convince her to join us of her own will, given more time.”

You raise a good point. I suppose I may be a little too hasty. I-“ He wheezes, thumping his chest as he hacks and bellows. “Aha! You-… Perhaps you may be right. “Because my Emperor, I draw opinions from all of my Fleet and other Admirals I’ve worked with. I’ve been saved from many bad decisions by knowledge others have told me. So that’s all I ask. No more, no less.” The Emperor glares fiercely at you. Part of you just realized you’ve called out the Emperor on making a bad decision by mistake. You step back. “Your Highness.”

He looks over at Prosecutor, who still stands firm. He beckons you to come closer. You step on closer, hesitantly. Does he intend to whisper something to you? Suddenly, he grabs your collar and pulls you close. You’re almost nose to nose with him as he loudly breathes in your face. Oh please don’t. Please don’t. He clutches at your cloth, his bad eye almost blinding you with its light. You could see every wrinkle and crease on his face. Oooh, it’s terrible. He sighs deeply. “… One. Week. Starting today.” He pushes you back. “No more.”

You blink, dusting yourself down. “Y-… Your highness.”

“She will stay here!” he declares. “And if you cannot convince her to turn in one week. I will.” He turns his chair back around to go back to his throne room. His advisor follows him dutifully. “Have the guards show you out! I will have living quarters arranged for you in a nearby hotel. But the Imperial Palace is off-limits until tomorrow.”

What? “But your highness? How am I to start working if I cannot access-“ He turns back.

Yeah and if you hold a sword by the blade you can still kill someone with it. Doesn't mean you should.
>>

I didn't realize he'd take my post word for word, But its true. There was too many unknowns to risk for the emperor to just go mind probing.
>>

Seconded.
>>
>>1663932
And if you want to get cheeky I can say you can bludgeon someone with a bullet. It doesn't make it the right choice.

You're going to have to word that better. I can't tell if you're saying, No I was right! Because he could have checked our mind!

Or if you're saying what you said was incredibly risky.

Right, right. So you're saying we should stop taking risks entirely and play it safe. Because that definitely makes for a fun quest.

>>
>>1663965
I'm saying telling Sheeve to his face that he's making a bad decision*

Is a bad decision that could result in our death or the death of our ship girl.* Hell he could have tortured her and fucked her up etc.
>>
>>1663973
Right. In my original post, all I said was "Sometimes you have to take risks to get things done right." In what world does that translate to "make every attempt to piss the Emperor off"? I won't put words in your mouth if you don't do the same with me.

Prosecutor knew what to say and how to say it without crossing the line. In that instance, she took a risk that quite possibly led to a far better outcome. WE were the ones that implied the Emperor made a bad decision, not her.
>>
>>1664007
In that instance you're telling prosecutor that was an okay risk to take. It was not. The Risk. That was taken was pissing off the emperor.
>>
>>1664034
In that instance, it turned out alright. Do I think she should do something like that again? Of course not. That doesn't mean she shouldn't be commended for saving a potential ally.
>>
>>1664046
Then don't tell her it's okay.

“Don’t ever speak out of turn like that again in front of the Emperor. He would’ve killed us without a second thought if things weren’t so desperate.” Prosecutor looks down, understanding what she did. If Prosecutor wasn’t somebody useful, the Emperor likely would’ve just killed her without a second thought. Same with you. Even though you’re a new Admiral, even though you’re just a kid in comparison to the more veteran officers, you’re still the only one who has any kind of connection to Lusankya and the one who actually has a full Fleet at this time. In short, the Emperor spared you two only because you still have your uses.

You sigh. To think what would’ve happened… “Still,” you say. “Let’s try to figure out something out. We need to get her to join us in six days now. We can’t be with her today perhaps but that doesn’t mean we can’t take a break to think on these things, you know?”

“Yes, Admiral.” She bows to you. “Again, I’m sorry.”

“You already know,” you say. “Come on. Let’s go.”

-

-

The Lambda shuttle carries you across Coruscant. The lavish hotel you’ll be staying out is one of the most prestigious institutes: The Ya-Mato. It was like a trip to Theed, but on Coruscant. There you could probably get some time to relax. “Admiral.” The pilot calls back to you as you ride in the back with Prosecutor. “Commander Kohlenkau is calling you.”

“Put it through.” A holopad opens up on the floor, and it projects the image of Commander Kohlenkau. Bobbing in and out of view of the hologram were the corvettes, running around in what appeared to be very frilly and very beautiful dresses while she looked… “Admiral. I’m spent. Please tell me I can return to the ship.” Well, that tells you everything.

Agility jumps on Commander Kohlenkau’s back. “Oooh! Oooh! Auntie Koko! Let’s go to that shop over there! It has hologames!”

“Ooooh!” Black Hawk leans in, pointing to the side. “That shop has Neimoidian cartoons! Let’s see what they have! Ooh! I can see little dollies too! Can we go there!?”

“There’s a shop over there selling jewelery!” Sundered Heart yells offscreen. “As a noble ship of high standards I require you take me there at once!”

Commander Kohlenkau stares at you. “Please.”

Alright. It's obvious that what I voted for isn't going to win, so why bother changing it anyway? I made a vote quickly because I had to step away from my computer for a few minutes. I didn't exactly have time for a write-in, and I hadn't seen the other write-ins posted when I posted my vote. No need to be a cunt from the very beginning when you see a vote you don't agree with.

“Fine. Come meet us at the hotel though,” you say. “Bring the other ships too. The whole Fleet in fact.”

Commander Kohlenkau stares blankly at you, then nods. “Yes, sir.”

“Hey, is that the Admiral!?” Agility leans over Kohlenkau’s shoulder. “Hi, Admiral!” Agility waves to you. “Hahaha!” The hologram cuts out.

Prosecutor smiles a little. “Well, at least they’re having fun today.” Yes, in comparison to you almost getting your throat crushed by the ruler of the Empire. At least the little ones are having the time of their lives on Coruscant.

The shuttle is given a private docking platform to land on. The two of you step down the ramp and are greeted by a troop of valets and hotel workers. “Admiral. We’ve been expecting you,” says their team leader. They take your and Prosecutor’s bags. “If you’ll follow us to your room.”

“Actually, before that,” you say. “I’d like to meet with my Fleet in the lobby if you’d please.”

“Yes, sir.”

-

-

The Fleet is in awe of the lobby, where the green vines hang and the fountain sprays sparkling cool water. The entire hotel is themed after the Palace at Theed, complete with faux-stone structuring, and some of it actual stone structures from the real Palace at Theed. It wasn’t like the people of Naboo were using that Throne room anyway. “Wow!” Profundity looks around. “It’s amazing! Such culture and décor all in one place!”

Resolute folds her arms, smirking. “The people of Naboo were a very proud people. It shows in their architecture.”

“It’s nostalgic,” says VP as she steps up to Resolute. Force of Commerce and VP look around, apparently caught up in a wave of remembrance it seems. “In a way… this is comforting yet… strange, somehow. I can’t explain why.”

[2/2]

Commander Kohlenkau comes in, her eyes looking extremely strained and her back crooked from having all the corvettes hang off of it all day. The corvettes are all wearing pretty pink and blue dresses, even Tellstar has joined in on it by doing her hair into a braided ponytail as well at some stylist. “Woooooow!” They drop off of her and start running around the place, shocking some of the guests and hotel workers by their explosive energy. “There’s so much space!” Agility leads the group in charging around, looking at and touching everything there is.

Commander Kohlenkau comes up to you, opening her purse. She stares in, moping. F4 rolls up next to her. “She spent all of her money, sir.”

“I’m broke…” she whimpers. “Those little leeches sucked me dry.” She had every right to refuse them but she didn't anyway.

Prosecutor bows to Commander Kohlenkau. “We will compensate you.”

“Well, come on, girls!” You grin. “Let’s go find your rooms.” You wave over the hotel manager, a properly dressed Muun man in a black suit. He comes up to you all, a smile on his face. “Right, can you have some people lead my ships here to their rooms?”

The Muun blinks. “Ooh, terrible apologies, sir. But… the Emperor only booked a room for you and your Secretary,” he says. “I’m afraid these ships will have to find accommodations elsewhere.” Eh? All the girls stare. Except for the corvettes, they continue running around.

“But, they’re my Fleet. They’ve been cooped up in barracks and single rooms on a Starship for weeks now,” you say. “I think they’d love to stay here for the next week or two.”

“Yes, yes, but…” The Muun looks nervously, glancing at the girls. VP and Force of Commerce angrily glare at him. “We cannot provide rooms to these er… beings. We’re sorry.”

You sigh. As nice as this hotel room is and as nice as it would be to finally get to sleep on a big fluffy mattress, you can’t surrender to that. Not in front of your girls at least. What kind of man would you look like if you just accepted this blatant… whatever-ism this is against your girls. And besides, hotels are terrible anyway at making love to girls. Not enough soundproofing. “Very well. Then I won’t stay here either. Come on, girls. We’re leaving.”

The Muun blinks. “But, sir!”

“Nope!” You shake your head, going to walk out the door. “We’re out of here! Come on!” Redemption rounds up the confused corvettes, and all the girls follow you out the door. Force of Commerce looks back, then sticks her tongue out at the Muun. VP as well flips him off on both hands as they walk out. Girls, please. Respect.

Whatever. You can always find another hotel that can accommodate your girls, right?

It’s nighttime now. “… can we just go back to the ship?” asks Acheron. “We’ve been trying to find a place to stay for hours now.”

“Patience,” says Assessor. “A good hunter always understands how long it takes to capture its prey.”

“We’re looking for a hotel,” says VP. “Not hunting a bantha.”

Prosecutor sighs, gently brushing Tellstar’s head as she naps in her lap. The other corvettes have fallen asleep around Commander Kohlenkau, who too has fallen asleep. She looks to you. “Commander. Perhaps we should just return to the ship for now. We won’t mind having to stay another night in our rooms aboard there, they’re not that bad.”

“Welcome!” Ferneza D’Leer the Zygerrian maiden welcomes you into her… hotel of sorts. It’s at least right on the surface, but definitely in the shadows of the towering skyscrapers and large regal buildings. “We do not discriminate here! Here at Ferneza’s Motel, we strive for privacy, comfort, and safety! Come, come!” She whistles, and several Twi’lek servants retrieve the girls bags for you. “Come in!” She takes your hand, leading you all in. It honestly doesn’t look too bad.

However, you were very quick to notice that the only people here were women.

Commander Kohlenkau grimaces, then leans over to whisper to you. “Admiral. You led us to a love hotel.”

“A hotel’s a hotel,” you mutter. A togruta with a very firm butt walks by. Oooohh y- Prosecutor nudges you, okay, attention forward! The hotel itself was actually quite warm, quaint, and very cozy you suppose. Ferneza sits behind a desk, accompanied by a Chiss servant. She hands Ferneza the holopad.

“Let’s see, we’ll calculate the prices here,” she says. “I assume singles for everybody. Except for you and your Secretary.” You nod. “Mhm, yes… and a room for all of the children here?”

“Hey, we’re not children!” says Force of Commerce.

“Not you, darling. The small ones,” says Ferneza.

“Hey, we’re not children!” Agility mutters. “Now get us a room, I want to go to sleep!” she stomps, pouting heavily.

“Right, room for four… And that will be that!” she says, handing you the in-voice. You hand it off to Commander Kohlenkau, who hands it off to F4, who proceeds to transmit it elsewhere to someone else. Someone will pay for all of this eventually. “We hope you enjoy your stay! Please, do call if you would like say… dinner, a bath, or perhaps me?” She winks, giggling a little. Tempting, very tempting.

Black Hawk gasps, having wandered off from the group. “Admiral, they have a pool! Can we play in the pool, Admiral!?” You look in to see where Black Hawk is looking. It was a very dark room, with violet and red lighting inside. Soft pulsing music plays as a couple of Pantoran servants talk with each other, lounging in the water in the nude.

“I wouldn’t play in that pool if I were you,” says VP.

You don’t know how long you’ll be on Coruscant, but you know it’ll be at least a week while you attempt to convert Lusankya to your side. So for now, you decide to help the girls get comfortable. Finalizer for instance needs her black mats and rugs laid out in her bedroom so she can meditate in darkness. “Why does she need all that?” asks Assessor.

Finalizer sits down on her mat, a stern expression on her face as she closes her eyes. “So the light cannot touch me as I meditate.” Assessor turns the lights on. “AAHH! TURN OFF THE LIGHT!”

Black Hawk, Tellstar, Agility, and Sundered Heart have no real energy to unpack and simply drop down into their beds and go to sleep. Redemption tucks them in as you simply place their cases by their beds. They’ll unpack in the morning perhaps.

Profundity meanwhile starts… moving her furniture around? “I’m moving my bed to the window so I can keep an eye out for intruders!” She thumps her fist against her chest. “Nothing will get past me! NOTHING!” Okay…

Acheron simply goes to sip tea before she goes to bed. Fair enough. Assessor, your newest ship technically, simply goes to bed as well with no real possessions of her own to unpack. That left Redemption, Resolute, Prosecutor, VP, Force of Commerce, and Arc Hammer. “Arc Hammer, do you need-“ You open Arc Hammer’s door and find it already filled to the top with scrap piles and parts. Arc Hammer is sitting at a table, welding something together as her fairies compile parts. She looks at you. “… nevermind.”

VP and Force of Commerce elected however to share a room. “We being of the Separatist Alliance require no rooms. Unlike those Republic ships. Hmph!” VP boasts proudly of this.

“Yeah, hmph!” Force of Commerce turns her nose up at that. “Lousy aristocrats they is!”

Resolute rolls her eyes, then pats F4 on the head. “I’m just going to go to sleep. No need for me to unpack, Admiral.” Oh, alright then. She shuts the door behind her. Well, then that just leaves…

Redemption. She leans in the doorway, giving you a smile with half-lidded eyes. “You know, Admiral. This is a love hotel.” She runs a hand down her hip, tilting her head. Ooooohohoho…

Prosecutor starts pushing you away. “Good night, Redemption.” But- “GOOD NIGHT, REDEMPTION.” Redemption giggles, waving at you. Aww, Prosecutor! Why! She huffs, pushing you into your room. “Such a tease, that girl.”

You sigh. Oh well. May as well get an early rest for tonight.

So, gents. How best to turn Lusankya in time?

Because fuck letting Emps have her.
>>
You hear the sound of girls laughing out in the hallway. It sounds like Agility and Black Hawk running around. Ooohhh. You must have slept in. You know, for a love hotel in the shadows of the big buildings in Coruscant, they have really comfy beds. You suppose those aren’t just for show though. Still, leaving this bed is going to be a difficult decision to make because it’s basically swallowing you whole at this point.

Hm. You were sharing this bed with Prosecutor… You hear a knocking at the door. “Hey, Cutie! Cutie!” Agility yells through the door. “Come on! We’re going to the pool!”

“Hang on, girls!” says Prosecutor. “Just give me a little bit and I’ll be right with you!” The pool? … Well, they better have a chaperone. You don’t want anybody getting the wrong idea about your corvettes. Oh… You rub your head, slowly shifting around in your bed. You turn yourself around then find Prosecutor standing in front of a mirror.

In her underwear. She’s wearing a plain white bra and panties with the Open Circle Fleet symbol on the back of them. In her hands, she holds two swimsuits, a yellow bikini with red stripes down the cups and the sides of the panties, and a grey one piece with light blue trim running down the sides. She glances between them, holding them in front of herself as she struggles to choose. Then she sees you in the mirror.

“Eh-“ She turns around, then covers herself. “Ah! Admiral- I- I was just- I wasn’t- AAAHH!” She screams out, red in the face in embarrassment.

> “Why are you screaming, it’s not like I haven’t seen any of this before.”

“If you’re wondering…” You give her a very smug smirk. “I like the bikini more.”

“AAAAHHH!” Prosecutor screams out in terror and embarrassment.

The door is blown down by Agility and Black Hawk, both wearing light grey one pieces. “Stop right there, criminal scum!” They look around, ready to pound some faces, but only see you and Prosecutor in the room. “… where’s the criminal scum?” asks Black Hawk. “We heard Prosecutor screaming!”

“It’s fine, girls.” You sit up, chuckling to yourself. Prosecutor covers herself, completely unable to comprehend what’s going on. “You’re going to the pool this morning?”

“Yep! The hotel manager said we could!” says Agility. “Prosecutor was going to teach us how to do some cool swimming stuff!” Oh right, Acclamators were amphibious to a certain degree. Hm. “Were you coming along, Admiral?”

“No. I’m all business today I’m afraid.” You stand up out of bed. “Prosecutor can go along with you all though.”

Prosecutor blinks. “Eh? But- but-“

“Take the day off,” you say. “Don’t worry about it, alright?” Prosecutor looks down, guiltily. “Tell you what, you teach these girls how to swim well, a reward is in order for all of them.” Agility and Black Hawk gasp, then immediately crowd around Prosecutor and try to drag her out by the arms. “Don’t worry. Just have fun, okay?”

Prosecutor nods, blinking. “O-… Okay, Admiral!”

As they leave, you go to put on your uniform.

You realize you have no actual plan to convert Lusankya.

F4 is probably going to lecture you about this.

-

-

“Admiral.” F4 rolls alongside you as you walk along the Imperial Palace halls. “It would behoove you to have some kind of plan in place to turn Lusankya to our side. It’s not just a matter of buying her gifts and being nice to her. We have to show her the superiority of the Empire as well. Our order, law, justice, all that and more. All that she can experience should she join us.”

“Order, law, and justice is naught if the Empire won’t accept her first,” you state. “Look what happened in the hotel.” F4 is quiet at that, he knows you have a point. “We’ll take things one step at a time.” The laboratories underneath the Imperial Palace were now open to you. A pair of Red Guards escorted you into the wide open labs, which were once training halls for the Jedi Padawans. At the center of it was Lusankya, caged in a see-through capsule big enough barely for her to walk around in. She simply sits down on the ground, hugging her legs and looking down in silence.

You and F4 roll up to Lusankya. She looks up, and upon seeing you she smiles lightly. A few scientists observe via holocomputers nearby. One of them says to you, “She seems happy to see you, Admiral.”

Of course she is, you’d be happy to see you too.

“Do me a favor, Doctors.” You fold your arms, looking to them. “Let her out of the cage. Give her some air, will you?” The lab goes quiet. They know you just requested that they let out a monstrous being from another Galaxy. “Please. She means no harm.” Lusankya blinks, her smile gone. She looks around in surprise and confusion.

One of the Doctors steps up to you, his face hidden behind a mask and safety goggles. “Er. Sir. I- I’m not sure that’s a good idea. She’s a- She’s very unsafe. Who knows what she’ll do outside of containment.”

“Are you saying it’s possible?” you ask.

“It i-…” He realizes he’s walked himself into a corner. “Sir. She’s a monster.” Lusankya frowns deeply, looking down. “We can’t let her out.”

“Let her out,” you order. “Do it.” Several Stormtroopers and Hazardtroopers get ready, training their blasters on the capsule. The Doctor hesitates, then walks on over to the security controls. He taps a few buttons, then pulls the switch. The capsule parts into two, then splits apart. Lusankya looks around, flinching at the suddenness of this. She tries to stand up, but the troopers immediately train their guns on her.

“Whoa, she means no harm!” you yell. “Careful!” The troopers lower their weapons only slightly. “Careful.” Lusankya looks at her hands, then around at everybody. She slowly stands up, and almost stumbles for a bit. F4 stares at her, slowly inching behind you. The Doctors hide behind their lab benches and holocomputers, looking.

“How about we go for a walk first, Lusankya? Stretch your legs,” you say. Lusankya twiddles her fingers, looking down at her naked toes. She wiggles them a little as she tries to keep her footing. It appears she’s not used to just standing on those legs of hers quite yet. She nods, holding out her hand. Right, you gently take her hand, leading her on and supporting her. The troopers all stare at you two, keeping the blasters ready. The Doctors start coming over in awe.

“Somebody write this down!” a doctor hisses.

You and Lusankya continue walking. She stumbles a little, but hangs onto your arm. Even despite the height she has on you, she looks so frail and vulnerable. Lusankya bites her lip, clearly struggling with words for now.

> This feels weird…

You nod. The hazardtroopers continue to shadow you as you walk on out of the lab.

> “How about I carry you? Will that be easier?”

“How about I carry you then, Lusankya? Will that be easier?” Lusankya stares at you when you say this. That’s not a no. You wrap your arms around her, then heft her up. She’s heavy, just as heavy as you expected. But you spent some time exercising. You keep yourself from looking strained by her weight and continue walking. She simply curls up in your arms, looking up at you. She seems quite taken.

> Admiral… you’re so strong.

Good, good! Glad she realizes it!

Because you’re never doing this again! Your arms are going to fall off!

“Have they… told you anything?” you ask.

> No. They only examine. It feels like they want something from me. But I don’t know what to tell them. It’s as if… I don’t know how to say it. Why am I treated this way?

“Certain reasons,” you say. The slaughter of thousands of Imperial Officers and sinking of several ships for one thing. “But we have to move past that for now.”

> Part of me still feels the call. As if I can hear the Vong coming to me. I wish I could ignore it.

“You can.” You look down, smiling at her. “I promise you that.”

> There-… has to be some way to fix me.

She looks at her hands and her pale skin. She certainly looks like no healthy ship that’s for sure.

“I promise. I’ll do everything in my power.” Thinking on it, the Emperor may let you keep Lusankya. It’s not commanding the Super Star Destroyer you ever dreamed of, but she is a start. You can certainly make use of her in your Fleet if you were to restore her to good condition. But for now, Lusankya was broken. The Vong could not rescue her. And it is likely that they will try again on Coruscant. You just don’t know when though.

But for now at least, you have to guarantee that Lusankya will fight for the Empire. “We do need to talk about you fighting for us though,” you say. “Can you?”

> I don’t know. I don’t want to fight.

You grimace. Damn it.

Oh well.

> Please don’t let go of me, Admiral.

Aauuugghhh… “Wouldn’t dream of it,” you whisper.

You arrive back at the labs. Lusankya is now walking of her own accord finally. There, the doctors start swarming you with questions and reports on what Lusnakya did. You can’t really answer them all. For the most part, it was just a walk and a verbal guarantee you would fix her.

Of course, if there’s anything you’ve learned, verbal guarantees are never worth anything. Always get it in writing.

You do however see Prosecutor, dressed in her regular uniform again. “Admiral!” She walks up to you and Lusankya, concerned. “How was it? I- Is Lusankya going to fight with us?”

“Not yet,” you say. “She needs time to recover first I think.”

“How much time?” asks Prosecutor.

“We don’t know.” F4 swirls his dome around. “That’s up for the doctors to decide.”

> I am tired.

Lusankya sighs, holding onto you.

One of the doctors comes over. “Admiral. Perhaps tomorrow, you can take the Lusankya out with you in a… normal sociable environment. Perhaps allow her to interact with your other Starship Girls.” You tilt your head. Oh? “We compared notes to the research done on Kuat. We’re not sure what it is, but Lusankya appears to be… recovering somehow.”

“How so?” you ask.

“We can’t describe it,” says another doctor. “It’s as if her brain and her body is starting to reject her Vong biology. We can’t be sure if that’s what’s happening though. Everything about this defies all known medical science.” Of course it does.

Why would we let that be a fair fight? We're an Imperial Admiral trying to secure some rest time for our fleet after a long, brutal fight only to be repeatedly turned away. Told that our money (read: the Empire's money) was no good.

That's a propaganda goldmine, builds sympathy towards us and our fleet and paints the assholes who refused us service as self-serving scum who don't care about the defense of Coruscant and the Empire.

Sure. Why not. They work hard in a thankless task. Without them, the economy would go to Hell, wealth would dry up and without properly applied tariffs the Empire wouldn't be able to pay its troops.

Taxes are no laughing matter. They brought about the downfall of the the Republic and Lucasfilm.

“Tell you what, she’ll bunk with us tonight.” Everyone stares at you as if you’re nuts. “Under armed guard of course. And that guard being all my Starship Girls. Don’t worry.” You look to Lusankya, smiling. “You’ll be sleeping with us tonight, Lusankya.”

> But… the Emperor-

“We’ll deal with it as it comes,” you say. “Don’t worry.”

Prosecutor sighs, then smiles at Lusankya. “I suppose we are crossing the river by feeling for stones.” She offers her hand to Lusankya. “Come along. I’ll show you the way to the shuttle.” Lusankya blinks, then slowly takes Prosecutor’s hand gingerly. You lead the girls along to the shuttle bay. Behind you, a troop of Hazardtroopers as well follow. Fair enough, let them be cautious for now.

You arrive back at the hotel, in force.

All the Starship Girls lounge around the pool in their swimsuits, happily chatting or lazing about. Arc Hammer especially just sits a chair, not even in a swimsuit, reading a holobook along with Acheron. The corvettes play around with their newfound ability to swim, trying to beat Profundity (to no avail).

But once you step in with Lusankya and Prosecutor, everything goes quiet. All the girls stiffly stare at you three. “Girls.” You motion to Lusankya. “Lusankya. She’ll be spending the night with us.”

Lusankya twiddles at her fingers, looking at everybody.

> I mean no harm.

Tellstar climbs on out of the pool, then walks up to Lusankya. She stares straight up at her, with Lusankya looking down shyly back at her. “… You’re really big,” says Tellstar. Lusankya tilts her head, then glances at you.

“Well, you are,” you say. Lusankya looks back down at Tellstar, who smiles back up at her.

“I’m Tellstar!” she says. The other corvettes come around, standing around her. “These are my friends. Agility, Black Hawk, and Sundered Heart. We’re the corvettes. What type of ship are you?” she asks.

Lusankya tilts her head.

> I believe I’m some kind of destroyer.

Resolute walks up, clad in a red bikini with a flowery wrap tied around her hips. “Bigger than that I would assume. My name is Resolute. It’s nice to meet you.” She offers her hand to Lusankya. The corvettes all look at Lusankya curiously. “So, it seems you mean to get to know us then?”

> I wish to do so, yes.

Resolute nods, folding her arms. “Well then. Come on. I’ll tell you about us.” Lusankya looks to you, and you nod affirmatively. She’s safe. Lusankya then follows behind Resolute as she takes her aside to sit down and chat. The corvettes come along too, curiously staring at Lusankya as she walks. The other girls quietly go back to what they were doing.

You notice that Force of Commerce and VP for instance don’t appear to have swimsuits. They simply sit at the side of the pool, lazing around. “How come you girls aren’t in the pool?” asks Prosecutor.

“We’re not a fan of water,” says Force of Commerce. “It’s lame.”

“This isn’t because you two don’t have swimsuits, is it?” asks Prosecutor. The two look away, blushing. “You should’ve said something you know. I’ll take you two shopping.” They mutter indistinctly, not refusing but not liking it either.

However, you do notice Arc Hammer glaring intensely at Lusankya. Thankfully Lusankya didn’t seem to notice that. You walk on over to Arc Hammer and Acheron as they sit down at the other end of the pool. “Arc Hammer. You seem a little upset. Is something the matter?”

Arc Hammer quirks her brow. “Admiral. Why is she here?”

“I have six days to turn her to our cause, otherwise the Emperor will,” you state bluntly. Arc Hammer grimaces at that. Acheron simply sits quietly, listening. “You don’t agree.”

“I’m not sure. Considering she’s sunk Starship Girls before, killed many Imperial troops, destroyed starships as well,” Arc Hammer states. “She’s being forgiven easily for that. Don’t you think?”

We should tell Arc Hammer about what the scientists said. About how her brain and body are starting to reject the Vong stuff (hypothesize that interaction with us and treating her well are the cause) . Throw in the scientific angle to whatever else we respond with

“She is being forgiven. That is part of how we win her heart.” Arc Hammer tilts her head, quizzically. “Listen, the scientists told me that whatever I’m doing, it’s causing some rejection in her, causing her to reject her Vong biology. Whatever that means. I don’t know. But it means that there’s more to this than we might know. I’m not asking you to be buddy buddy. I’m asking you to consider all the angles. Alright?”

Arc Hammer looks at Lusankya as she speaks with Resolute. Resolute smiles a little, doing her best to explain things to the Starship. The corvettes meanwhile have wandered off. She looks back to you. “I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt, Admiral. But only because you vouch for her.” She goes back to reading her holobook.

Acheron smiles a little. “Cheer up, Admiral. I’m sure given time Lusankya will come around.” You nod. Of course, of course.

“Hey, Admiral!” The corvettes all surround you, grinning. “Are you going to play with us!?” asks Agility. “Come on! Come on!”

“Girls, please.” You gently pat Agility’s head, making her laugh and giggle in response. “I don’t even have a swimsuit.”

Redemption mopes a little, sitting in the water wearing a pure white bikini. “For shame, Admiral. I wanted to play a little with you too.”

The corvettes happily splash and play around in the water. You remember when this Fleet was but a humble group of three Starships. Now it has grown to quite the family. Prosecutor happily wades in and allows Tellstar to stand on her shoulders. Redemption does the same for Agility, and quickly the two go head to head in a cavalry fight. Agility and Tellstar wrestle each other as they stand atop Prosecutor and Redemption. Then Tellstar finally pushes Agility over. She goes sailing into the water. “Ha! I win! I win!” Tellstar cheers.

Agility pokes her head up, then spits out some water. “Hmph! Lucky!”

You lay back against the pool’s edge, letting the warm water relax you. It has been a while since you’ve gotten a break like this. You look over to see Lusankya happily watching everybody, Resolute sitting beside her. At those two are getting along well.

Redemption swims on over to you, smiling a little. “Admiral. Enjoying yourself?”

“Of course,” you say. “Anytime you’re happy, I’m happy.”

“I’m touched,” she says. She sits back next to you. “I will say, Lusankya’s appearance was shocking. It still is to an extent. I don’t know how to feel about it.”

“All I ask is that you welcome her,” you say.

“Hm.” Redemption rubs her chin. “I suppose.” Underneath the water though, you can feel her hand slowly run against your trunks. Eh? “As long as she harms no one, Admiral. I trust your decision regardless.”

“Good.” You look down as she snaps the waist band on your trunks. “Ah, Redemption-“

“Oooh, sorry!” Redemption covers her mouth coyly, a smile lurking behind it. “Hand slipped.”

Hmmm…

Agility yawns, resting her head down on the pool’s edge. “Tired!”

“Tired too!” says Black Hawk. “Auntie Koko!” You see Commander Kohlenkau reading a holobook lazily at one of the tables. She looks over, unamused. “Come get us and take us to bed, please!” She sighs wearily.

Since it seems to be something we're doing that's actually helping her we should probably be in the same room, along with a destroyer (or two) just in case. Not that I expect her to cause trouble deliberately, but PTSD episodes are a distinct possibility.

“You girls go on ahead. I’m gonna stay here and relax,” you say. The girls all depart one by one to the lockerrooms where they can change out. Commander Kohlenkau wearily lets the corvettes ride on her back there, wetting and soaking her uniform with pool water. Redemption happily keeps her company as they go along.

Really, you do need a good rest like this. It’s been too long since you’ve had one. You shut your eyes, sighing as you let the pool water overtake you. You could drown here and you wouldn’t mind.

> Admiral.

You open your eyes again, and find Lusankya lying on the floor next to you. She tilts her head, looking down at you. “Oh, Lusankya. Sorry, did you want me to escort you to a bedroom? I can-“

> No. It’s fine.

She touches the water, flinching at it rippling away from her fingers.

> I just wanted to say thank you for letting me stay the night with you.

“It’s no bother,” you say. “Honestly.” Lusankya lets her hand dip into the water completely, staring at it, almost mesmerized by it. “I imagine you’ll make a few new friends. I see Resolute was talking to you earlier. You chat about anything exciting?”

> She was explaining a few things. Important things.

… oh?

> Yes. I am told your father was killed in the defense of Kuat. I am sorry for your loss.

He wasn’t any loss to you. “It’s fine. Thank you for your condolences at least.” Lusankya nods. At least it wasn’t her that killed him anyway. It would be sort of a different story.

However, you feel her lips press against your cheeks. You turn your eyes to see her kissing your cheek, more than just a quick peck, a long affectionate kiss. She pulls back, placing her hand on your bare shoulder.

She pulls her hand away, looking away.

Well, she was right. “Thanks,” you say. Lusankya nods, a very faint smile on her face. You’d like for this to go further but there are a couple of things preventing you from this. One: You’re probably being monitored. Two: She probably still has some Vong anatomy in her body and that’s probably not compatible with you. Other than that, nothing stopping you. But you decide probably better for it. “You don’t have to force yourself though, Lusankya. I like you. But right now, I need to convince you to try and fight for the Empire.” You lean in close to her. “Can you?”

We will need a full scene! How does she know how to give a handie if she has as much experience as the rest of the girls i.e. None
>>
Okay, so NO WAY Emps gets to go through with his dumbass plan. Because if I'm reading this right Lusankya is actively suppressing whatever it is the Vong did to her and is getting more of a handle on it the more her own personality and willpower recover. So if Emps has her will BROKEN that all that gets us is a Vong Princess literally ON Coruscant with nothing holding her back.

He thinks he'd be getting a powerful weapon, what he'd really do is lose the entire war on the spot.
>>
finally caught up, and damn, Lusankya must be having a hard time. and also had, with all those weird vong stuff.

>>1668794
not to mention that she is even willing to side with us if it wasn't for the weird vong stuff is still tugging away at her, from what I can see in >>1668458. and it's not even certain if that remaining stuff will even affect her, only that it might, judging from her claims.

the scientists, and maybe even the emperor needs to acknowledge the point that your post and the one I said above, if she's willing to side with us, why not give us and the eggheads time to slowly pry away the vong stuff away from her? If one week is not enough to remove that weird influence, it wouldn't be a loss to just continue prying away at that point. And like you said, it might potentially let loose a super powerful shipgirl if her consciousness is ripped away by the emperor.
>>
>>1677150
So I think this is how we need to put it to Lusankya: we just need her to make it clear that she'll follow our orders. An SSD is too resource-intensive to send out against anything but a massed Vong assault on the Coruscant system, which can either happen before or after the Emperor's deadline. If it happens afterwards, her swearing loyalty now only gives her more time for her condition to keep improving because we're not going to be asking much of her anyway. If it happens within the week and she still refuses to fight alongside us, everything's probably fucked anyway.

At that point she either takes a gamble or allows massive civilian and military casualties through inaction.
