Your job: Commander of hunt-and-harvest fighting drones. Your job is performed from the relative safety of an armored moving factory. Your job requires the cooperation of a few others like you and a disposable army. Your job is a vital one.

The probable causes are many and muddled, but today, feral Veggies roam the the ruins of a disaster-riven Earth. Saving the planet is a distant dream dreamt from human bases in the depths of deserts where most Veggies will not go. More attainable is the monthly harvest quota. The folks in orbit and beyond still need to eat, after all. No purestrain produce survived mankind's exodus to the Moon and Mars.

What are you doing listening to this spiel? There's a situation at hand!

Crawlers Fis’Kiire and Akolon are due for maintenance at a supply base located in the Sarklaeus Desert. We have encountered a heavy Veggie proto-infestation and are currently in a running engagement. Full assault is neither a priority of this mission nor expected of a crew of Cadets.

If you’re just waking up to this mission, some grogginess is acceptable. All we need is for you to remember how to man the fabricators and get your drones moving and doing work.

Portside needs some propping up to traverse that hill, AKN! FSK, you’re crawling up their ass, hold uuuuuuuu… whew. Nearly took out AKN’s crane there.

Strike fighters en route, Hosei. Cross your fingers. They only have the crawlers to guide them, and no signal at target site.

There are 4 shades of brown terrain on the map. Lighter represents higher terrain.

Unboxing in fact lays out tiles of ammo on neat little placemats.

The crawler cannot sit or travel on more than two different levels of terrain. It's kind of a difficult decision and an odd design. Lots for me to learn. I'll do it myself if no one wants to.

In light of this, I'd like to put something to a vote. I think it's still possible to succeed with what's available, but I acknowledge there are problems with my design.

Either way, I'm fine. I've been able to see the differences in terrain this whole time after all. I'm a bit worried though about how we'll get over this bit, especially since our drops are so inaccurate.

Yikes. Okay. I don't see this working out. Hurts to say it, but it's time for us to withdraw. We can't take the loss of a whole crawler and crew. Get back the the withdrawal zone and the veggies should leave us alone.
