Funtron is a Lego board game where you take command of a motley crew of space adventurers and explore an abandoned outpost on an alien planet.

You, the reader, post commands for the characters. In turn, I will execute your commands and post images and descriptions of what happens.

You have entered the Research Wing of Carpos Station, fought off a horde of plant monsters, and now discovered a ghastly operating room (#27) full of blood and vines.

After everything you've just been through, you don't think you could sit comfortably in the presence of a garden salad, let alone creepy, blood-covered vines. Penkala piles every ounce of plant matter she can find into a corner and lights it up.

Meanwhile, Whitworth looks for some badly needed medicine and finds two doses. Each party member has 2 HP out of 3.

You check r26, which you'd guess is some sort of closet for the operating room. Inside, you find another sealed, white capsule.

What will you do?

You've learned your lessons about privacy the hard way, so just to be polite, you knock before opening the pod. And for extra politeness, you point the nozzle of your deadly flamethrower at the pod too.

Inside you find yet another plantman. Well, a mostly-plant man. This one's legs are still yellow even if the rest of him isn't. And also unlike the last specimen you encountered, this one is totally inert. You'd have thought it was dead if not for the occasional shudder that runs down the length of its body.

What will you do?
>End its suffering.
>End it again just in case.

The sight of the catatonic mostly-plant man inspires with you an unusual sort of pity, given the general inclination of these plant monsters towards murdering you. It's must have been lying here for a decade, trapped and alone. You feel that after all these years, it deserves to find peace.

You make sure to give yourself a little peace of mind too. For good measure, you reseal the pod afterwards and melt the hinges shut. Mercy is a fine thing, but so is not getting your throat cut from behind in a dark corridor.


I may have been too hasty in starting Round 4, as this is a busy weekend for me. Tentatively, Funtron will resume on Monday with r33. Sorry again for the erratic schedule, and thanks for playing!

After disposing of the less malevolent of the two green men you've met thus far, you resume your quest for the fabled security terminal. If it truly is in r32, then you'll need to pass through r33 to get there, and the quickest route is via r28. You open the door and enter with caution.

Across the room from you stands what must be the commander of the security drones, at the rear of a squad of eight others. The robots' red eyes flash when you enter. Talking your way out of this one might be a bit of a challenge.

Each member of the party has 2 HP; you have 2 doses of medicine. Joy is carrying her rifle, the lightsaber, and the strange purple bottle. Whitworth is carrying two blasters. Penkala is carrying her flamethrower and the orange lever thing. Teddy is stationed in r14.

You bail out in such a hurry that you don't even have time to shut the door behind you. Manners, it seems, are the first casualty of space war.

Perhaps incensed by your poor etiquette, or more likely by the unconditional extermination order left by Owen Moore, four of the robots follow after you in pursuit.

You decide to take shelter in r35. This must be the room called "Tank", for what resembles a sort of massive aquarium dominates the room. A terminal stands in one corner, across from a door to r34.

Inside the tank are something that has lately become an uncomfortably familiar sight: a pair of human bodies in different stages of plantman transformation. The one on the left seems to have been wholly engulfed by the algae; the one on the right seems almost untouched, save for the coverings over its face. Neither shows any awareness of your presence.

What will you do?
>Get the bodies out of the tank and hide in r34
>Attack the bots while they're distracted by exterminating the plantmen.
A quick update before this thread sinks into the nether: the next Funtron update will probably not be until July 29th. I can't effectively run the game right now, and I'd like to avoid having a second dead thread in a row. I apologize for how poorly this one turned out in that regard.
