Welcome to Another Dragon Ball Quest ™ , a quest all about a young kid in the world of Dragon Ball and their involvement in many of the series iconic events. From Radditz to Beerus, there's no telling how far you'll go, or at least how long you can last till you get sent to another dimension!
>How do we play?
This quest functions like any other, options on what to do are brought up, using A,B,C,D, etc, and everyone of YOU votes on what you'd like the character to do. Write-In's are encouraged!
Also, we will be using a system I've seen SOM(Another great DBZ Quest Maker) use recently. For easy tasks, such as fighting normal humans or doing mundane chores, you'll roll a d20, for normal tasks such as fighting opponents who are of equal or slightly higher strength, or trying to pull off more difficult moves, you'll roll a d50, and for hard tasks, like fighting people who are much stronger than you, or fighting multiple opponents at once that have an equal strength to you, you'll roll a d100.
>Do you use Bo3 or Bo5?
Neither, I find that Best of 3 is too cruel sometimes, and that Best of 5 is too lenient. So we'll be doing a Best of 4. That means the first 4 rolls are the only ones that count, and that the highest number rolled will be the one used.
>So what kind of character will we be able to make?
You'll be playing as a young, non-human child around the same age as Gohan was at the beginning of DBZ.
>Wait, we don't get to decide if we want to play a regular human or a dog president?
Not exactly, while you'll be deciding some backstory traits and how you'll be starting this adventure off, I've realized that my limitations as a QM mean I have a hard time working with a completely group created character, so think of this as me throwing you a template that you can mess around with.
>How do we get stronger? We have to fight Raditz one on one with our eyes closed!
Increasing your Power Level is simple. Every once and a while I'll have you roll a d50, and the higher you roll the higher your power increases. For instance, rolling a 1-9 means you only increased your power by ten, while rolling a 40-49 means you increased your power by 80, and a solid 50 woul've increased it by 160. So basically it doubles each tier.
>Are we a boy or a girl?
Girl
>Are you sticking completely to cannon or can we change things?
Your actions affect the world, who's the say whether or not Vegeta leaves Earth alive like in the manga, or if Chaouzu ends up the strongest Earthling. Anything can happen.

A loud roar echoes through the fighting ring as you and Yamcha stare down at Goro, the massive four armed monster casually flexing his arms while basking in the praise of the audience, their chants only fueling his nepotism. "Th-that guy just destroyed the other dude." Yamcha says in a hushed whisper, as if he can't quite believe it himself. "What kind of sick place lets people murder each other like this for fun?"

"It's not exactly that different from certain human sports," Alopex cuts in. "How many of your athletes are injured or worse year after year for the enjoyment of those watching them?"

"That's different," Yamcha says, a bit of heat to his voice. "They're not out to actually kill each other."

"Aren't they? Seems to me the only difference between here and the topside is that nobody's fooling themselves into thinking otherwise." Alopex sighs, her fluffy white tail swishing from side to side a bit. Boy you wish you could hug that tail. "Besides, it's not like Goro's opponent is truly gone. He was an Otherworlder just like most everyone else here, his death just means he had to go back."

>A. "It was still pretty horrible miss Alopex."
>B. "Yeah, but Yamcha's not an Otherworlder, so what'll happen to him?"
>C. "This Goro guy seems REALLY strong, just who is he?"
>D. "Welp, good luck mister Yamcha!"

"Yeah, but Yamcha's not an Otherworlder, so what'll happen to him if Goro makes him go squishey squish?" You ask.

"He'll probably die." Alopex answer nonchalantly, causing Yamcha to lose a bit of his cool. "Of course Yamcha's free to just leave right now and not face Goro, but I doubt the other Kitsune's would look upon him favorably."

You look over at Yamcha, and he seems to be having an inner debate with how worried his face looks. You're about to tell him he doesn't need to fight Goro when he lets out a loud laugh, surprising you. "HA! As if I'd run away from a challenge." He points a thumb at himself as he flashes a cocky grin. "Just you two ladies watch, I'm gonna' mess this four armed looser up." Without another word Yamcha hops over the barricade and down into the fighting pit, kicking up a cloud of dust as the rest of the arena goes quiet.

Goro frowns at the sudden silence, and turns in surprise to find Yamcha readying to face him. "You wish to face me tiny man? Your bones shall make an excellent sound as I crush them beneath my feet!"

"And your mouth might actually shut up once I stick my foot in it!" Yamcha retorts...and then realizes how stupid that sounded.

"I thought it was funny mister Yamcha!" You shout, trying to cheer him up.

Goro grins, cracking his neck before flexing once more for the crowd. "ARE YOU READY FOR BLOOD!?"

"YEAH!" The crowd shouts, almost to a deafening degree.

Yamcha squares up, taking up a stance as Goro hunches down a bit, both of them staring at each other, waiting for the other to make a move.

>A. "YOU CAN DO IT MISTER YAMCHA!"
>B. "So miss Alopex, what are Yamcha's actual chances of beating Goro?"

"So miss Alopex, what Yamcha's actual chances of beating Goro?" You ask, still not taking your eyes off the fight.

As if to answer your question Yamcha launches himself forward, closing the distance between him and Goro quickly and sending out a barrage of quick chops and strikes. None of them manage to make it past Goro's four-armed defenses, but Yamcha's able to at least keep the beast on the ropes with his constant attack.

"Not terribly good," Alopex finally answers you, arms crossed over her chest. "I'm sure you've sensed it already, but Goro is much stronger than Yamcha." She remains stoic even as Yamcha takes a large, three fingered fist to the face, the scar faced bandit rolling backwards but quickly hopping back up to continue the attack. "Still, as long as he doesn't do anything stupid, he shouldn't get himself killed."

"Does mister Yamcha do stupid things a lot?" You ask innocently, wincing as Yamcha tries to deliver a quick kick to Goro's shin, only to meet with what must be muscles made of steel.

Alopex sighs, as if your question were bringing up bad memories. "He's cocky, and extremely sure of himself. This wouldn't be so bad if he put half as much effort into his training as he did his boasting."

"ENOUGH!" Goro roars, leaping back as Yamcha tries to strike him again. "I'm done playing with you tiny man, time to end this!" Goro plants both of his feet onto the ground, bringing his elbows to his sides as he begins to build up energy, and a lot of it if your Ki sense is anything to go by. Below Yamcha looks on with a little worry on his face, as if debating on what to do next.

That power emitting from Goro, it feels absolutely incredible, it's giving you flashbacks to when Raditz first showed up and started destroying you and your friends. You don't want mister Yamcha getting hurt just as badly. "DODGE MISTER YAMCHA!" You shout, hoping beyond all manner of hope that he listens to you.

Yamcha seems to take your words to heart and begins to move, but it seems he was a second too late in his decision. Letting out a deep roar, Goro's Ki flares up around him, before the four armed monster dashes forward with his arms swinging, the concrete ground getting imprints of his huge feet with each quick step.

Yamcha managed to dodge three of the powerful swings, but one of Goro's arms got lucky and decks the scar faced bandit directly in the face, knocking him into the fighting pits concrete walls and crumbling them as his body is smashed into them. Goro doesn't waste any time before rushing forward, closing the distance once again and beginning to pound away at Yamcha's exposed and helpless body. You can see start to fly everywhere as Goro keeps up his ruthless onslaught.

"NO!" You shout, scared as your friend is getting beaten to a pulp. Beside Alopex watches on, standing completely still.

You can already feel the tears starting to swell up in your eyes, pouring down your cheeks as you watch punch after punch get driven into Yamcha's still body. You wanna' jump down there and stop this, you want to toss Goro across the stage, or shoot him with a Dodon Ray, but deep down you know you wouldn't be a match for him, and you hate yourself for being a coward. "STOP IT!" You shout, drawing peoples attention from the bloodbath to your small red form. "Stop hitting him! Please just stop it!"

Goro pauses mid-punch, looking up at you before smirking. "HA! You cry for this weakling?! He should've known better than to step into the pit with me! His foolish decision to throw his life away means he must now bare the consequences!" Goro turns his attention to Yamcha again, cocking his arm back for a powerful punch. "WITNESS HIS DEMISE! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" You shout, getting ready to hop over the railing. The only thing stopping you is Alopex's firm hand on your shoulder, the white fox giving you a slow shake of her head. You're about to tell her off when you feel a huge influx of power coming from the pit, and the crowd gasps. You turn back around, fearing for the worst...

And you get something you weren't quite expecting.

"Wh-what?!" Goro stammers, the very same fist he had thrown earlier now caught and held tightly in Yamcha's palm. "B-but you were-"

"Out for the count?" Yamcha cuts him off, a dark purplish energy flaring up around him, his eyes turning blood red. "Should've made sure of that before you got cocky." Yamcha twists his hand, in the process twisting Goro's arm and bringing the monster to his knees, writhing in agony. "Been wanting an excuse to try this out, though it's not exactly fun." Raising a hand, Yamcha slaps Goro so hard that the four-armed fighter is sent head first into the ground, making a large dent in it, but the whole time Yamcha still keeps a hold on the monsters hand. "See, this technique right here? All this purple energy? It's a give and take move. I take all the punishment I can handle, till I'm about to break," Yamcha kicks Goro right in the stomach, causing more agonizing sounds to erupt from him. "And in return, I get power. Lot's a power. All those heavy punches you kept pounding on me? Their power's mine now."

Yamcha grins, probably a little too sadistic for your liking, and releases Goro's hand. Falling into a stance, you see the purplish energy flaring up again and...you swear you see the image of a wolf overlap with Yamcha's body. "WOLF," He strikes out, catching Goro in the jaw and knocking the huge fighter into the air. "FANG," Yamcha leaps up, sending another strike right into Goro's stomach mid-air. "FIST!" Now a flurry of blows that goes by so fast you can't even keep track of it, they pound away at Goro's body, Yamcha's hands seemingly getting replaced by fangs and cutting up Goro's torso something fierce.
>Cont.
>>
>>1691362
After god knows how long, Goro finally falls to the ground, body a complete mess as Yamcha hovers in the air, looking proud of himself, before dropping down beside the other fighter. The crowd watching this all happen is silent for a bit, before they erupt into a chorus of cheers, chanting Yamcha's name over and over again.

Beside you you hear a small sigh of relief, and looking quickly you catch Alopex in a much more relaxed manner than you've ever seen her in, at least for the past twenty or so minutes you've known her. "You okay miss Alopex?"

She nods, composing herself once again. "Yes, I'm fine, I just wasn't sure if that technique would help Yamcha or kill him."

>A. "What is that technique anyways?"
>B. Grin. "It's okay, I was worried about Yamcha too."

You can't help but grin at Alopex's worried expression for Yamcha, which she seems to pick up on because she goes right back to composing herself like earlier. "It's okay, I was worried about Yamcha too." You see her fur ruffle and stand up a bit, but aside from that she doesn't show any reaction. "So what is that technique he's using anyways?" You ask, changing the subject before you find yourself a chew tow for Alopex.

"Well like the rest of us at the Kitsune sanctuary have been telling Yamcha, it's not so much a technique as it's more of a magical enchantment," You widened your eyes at the word magic, conjuring up images of fairies and magical genies. "You see, shortly after Yamcha had arrived we taught him how to shape shift, and of course the first thing he did was turn into a wolf. But this had the unknown side effect of causing him to not be able to change back. We're not sure what happened next, as he ran off, but he eventually came back to his normal human form, only with slight differences."

"Like what?" You ask.

Alopex pauses before answering, choosing her words carefully. "He's...more feral at times than he used to be. His sense of smell's improved a thousand fold, and it's become almost impossible to hide from him when you want to be alone. But above all else his body seems to have become enchanted in some way that, when absorbing huge amounts of pain and damage, he can turn it around to give himself a huge power boost." She frowns, though quickly wipes it away. "The problem is it's a huge drain on his body, and it's not always guaranteed to work either."

Looking down into the pit again, Yamcha is still soaking in the applause, his eyes having reverted back to normal.

>A. "Well, tell Yamcha I'm glad he won, I ought to head back to the others."
>B. "Think you could teach me some magic?"

"Think you could teach me some magic?"

"Perhaps, but I think it's better if you continue with Raijin's training first before you think about finding another Master." Alopex replies.

You give a sigh, realizing that's probably her way of telling you no in the nicest way possible. "Alright fine. Tell Yamcha to take it easy, I don't want him dying."

"Will do." Alopex nods as you head back to wards Krilling and Chiaotzu.

And a LOT of Zenni stacked up behind them. Krillin finally notices you and his face brightens up immediately. "SAFF! Thank goodness you're back! We've been getting swamped ever since you left!"

Chiaotzu whines, handing a couple cucumbers off before a stack of Zenni is thrust into his hands. "They just keep coming and coming! There's no end!"

"Wow, is all this money from selling the veggies?" You ask, looking impressed with all the cash Chiaotzu and Krillin managed to make. "WE'RE RICH!"

Krillin does some quick counting, looking over a sketch pad he'd apparently been writing down on, before smiling. "5,166 Zenni!"

At that Raijin smiles. "Well then, looks like we're going out to eat tonight!"

>I believe the Multi-form technique would still work with the Zenkai boost though
Considering how damage done to a clone doesn't really translate to the user once they reform, I kinda doubt that.
Unless I'm wrong or all the clones stabbed each other at the same time or something.
>>
>>1701030
Well there's clones and then there's the original body right? Raditz is still splitting his power level evenly among them, so while the clones wouldn't get a Zenkai, the original would have to right?

I suppose so.

Because SOM is actually a wizard who devotes his full power to making his quests and his attitude objectively infuriating.
>>
>>1710852
You guys just pretend to hate him so he'll be bad daddy with you don't you?
>>
>>1703727
Great read, I'm a huge fan of Kato's Tuffle Quest.
>>1709737
Such a glowing endorsement. I'm not sure how you like me more than Kato, but thank you!
>>1710022
Some don't like his style. He's too high lethality for many, and they don't like how he refuses to pull punches.
>>1710871
Wouldn't surprise me if some did, purely for the asshurt it causes other anons.
>>
>>1713880
Well for one, you haven't given us a retarded sounding hyphenated last name
>>
>>1714031
You're still seriously upset about that? Seriously? I didn't like that choice either but that's what happens in quests. Not everything happens exactly the way you want it to. Like Kabuya and her group going soft and settling on Earth.
>>
>>1714054
I don't care if it's a choice or not, you see
All I care about is how stupid it sounds

and i'm not that concerned about it to be honest, mostly just shooting the shit dawg
>>
>>1714085
All good anon. I can't wait until Super is finished, and maybe Chuckles will resume SMQ. Golden Cooler?

Had to find ones of gold ultimate form, most were of the same form as Freeza.
>>

God I hate that his hands and feet are purple. They look like he's wearing a onesie.

You know what, I'm gonna go against my nature and say don't post the link.
I want a genuine surprise.
>>
>>1715263
Goooood.

Though it's pretty easy to tell who got the worst gains of the group.
>>
>>1715266
Whatever the case, I'm sure the upcoming battles are gonna be super fucked compared to canon.
Can't wait to see the differences.
