You are the TEMPLAR, a holy knight sent to clear the frontier of monsters and heresy!

Last time we left off, Morgan has barricaded herself in her room and won't answer, presumably because she's still mighty embarrassed over apparently permanently becoming a wolfgirl! This leaves the Templar in a bit of a dilemma!

Well, breaking the door down was out of the question. You might startle and scare Morgan, which would go against the original aim of simply being able to talk to her. Plus, Havel would most likely be extremely cross with you for damaging Monastery property.

You then remember that Morgan's room had a window that you could be able to use if you could reach it...

It was too bad for you that Morgan had chosen to put her quarters atop one of the Monastery's high towers. No doubt another part of her insecurities, placing herself in one of the most notoriously inaccessible areas of any building.

However, siegecraft was one of the many things you were taught as a Neophyte, and one particular skill that was taught was being able to scale stone walls. Thankfully, the construction of the Monastery was rough, a sign of the improvised materials used in its construction. This left numerous rocks jutting out that you could use as hand and footholds.

It was a long and arduous climb, but finally, you reach Morgan's window. There's only a simple wooden shutter that you easily pull open, and see-

Wait, was that Morgan without-

There's a scream and suddenly you feel a massive impact against your helmet and your falling...

and falling...

WHUMP.

You're not sure how much time has passed, but soon enough, your eyes stop exploding with stars and you see Morgan standing above you, her boot planted firmly on your chestplate.

"How much did you see?!" Morgan scowls, her face red with a mixture of fury and embarrassment.

Morgan starts stomping on your armor in frustration, a loud CLANGING sound echoing throughout the courtyard. Thankfully, your new mythril chestplate is more than enough to ward off her blows.

However, in one last, defiant shout, Morgan brings her foot down right on your helmet, shoving it right down into the dirt. This one you feel, and your head explodes in pain from the blow.

You think you hear Romulus whimpering.

"No, he totally deserves it. No question." Morgan grunts. "Let's go."

And with that, Morgan storms off, still fuming, leaving you lying stunned in the castle courtyard.

You take her hand, she pulls you up with a surprising amount of strength, not even bothered with the fact that she was pulling up a Templar in full plate armor with a single arm.

It seemed your instincts about her prowess were correct.

"Were you attacked by someone?" Lucina asks, her eyes scanning your now scuffed and slightly dented armor. "You look like you were mauled by a beast."

You just shrug.

"Hm. Always so mysterious." Lucina chuckles. "Well, this is fortuitous, since I was looking for you, anyways."

You turn to face her, now curious.

"Say, you wouldn't have happened to pick any new companions?" Lucina narrows her eyes. "Particularly from the Oriental Kingdoms...?"

You nod in confirmation. What a coincidence!

"Oh dear..." Lucina sighs. "And she doesn't happen to be named Niko...?"

You nod again, wondering why this was so important to Lucina. Fellow princess sisterhood?

"Damn." Lucina sighs as she reflexively runs a hand through her hair. "This is going to be a problem."

You look a her curiously again.

"Oh, it's nothing you should be concerned about." Lucina shakes her head. "If Niko wants to run off to the Frontier, there's not much I can do to stop her. Her family on the other hand..."

You step forward. Were they causing problems for Lucina?

"Like I said, it's nothing you should concern yourself with." Lucina says quickly. "It's something between royal houses."

And there, lurking behind Lucina just out of her line of sight was Niko, crouched atop a low roof. Her eyes meet yours, and she puts a finger up to her lips to request you stay quiet while she prepares to pounce.

Niko leaps off in a flying tackle, a big dumb smile on her face. However, Lucina's instincts prove to be just as sharp as you suspected, as she easily sidesteps out of the way of Niko's dive, forcing the ninja princess, to transition into a midair roll so she landed on feet instead of her face.

"Hey, Lucy." She says nonchalantly, as if she had never just tried to ambush her fellow princess.

"Nikky..." Lucina sighs. "How many times have I told you that it's very impolite to tackle people from behind?"

"Aw, come on, it's no fun otherwise!" Niko groans.

You just watch silently. It looked like the two princesses really did know each other.

"It's one thing to be a nuisance to your own kingdom, but I wish you didn't have to drag them out to mine." Lucina sighs loudly as she shakes her head.

"What, my folks giving ya a hard time, Lucy?" Niko frowns.

"In a sense." Lucina frowns. "Not only are their messengers hanging around my court like vultures, but they have their enforcers combing every inch of my city. It's causing all sorts of concern to everybody involved."

"Well, just kick 'em out!" Niko grunts.

"You of all people should realize it's not that simple." Lucina shakes her head. "Despite their abominable behavior, they're not breaking any laws, so if I try to eject them it'll be ME that looks like the party to blame."

"See, this is why I'm not all that big on the ruling thing." Niko sighs.

"Well, perhaps your Templar friend here can be of assistance." Lucina grins as she turns her gaze back to you. "I hope you have knowledge of the Oriental fighting arts?"

You crack your knuckles, signifying that you were ready to get this little police action started.

"Always straight to the point. That's what I like about you Templars." Lucina grins. "Let's go then."

"Hey, I wanna come too!" Niko chimes.

"You do know that you're the exact person they're looking for, right?" Lucina raises an eyebrow.

"Don't wooooorry. I'm an EXPERT at sneaking!" Niko boasts.

"Clearly." Lucina rolls her eyes.

"Hey, I am! Quit teasing!" Niko pouts.

"Well, if you get caught, it's not my problem then." Lucina grins.

"That's a cold thing to say to a fellow princess." Niko laughs.

And the three of you head out of the Monastery to a waiting carriage. Of course Princess Lucina wouldn't be caught walking this far out of the city. You decide to stay quiet for now and focus. Besides, the two princesses seemed to be talking about the latest court intrigue and gossip. Things you weren't even remotely interested in. It's not until the carriage passes through the city gates that Lucina finally stops the conversation and turns her attention towards you.

"All right, Templar. It's showtime." She grins. "The Yamadas have numerous men combing the city, but there's three elite enforcers that act their leaders."

"Their names are pretty hard to describe in your tongue, so we'll just go with Spear, Club, and Sword." Niko sighs. "Obviously, the nicknames are based on their weapons of choice. Club is impossible to miss. He's big and slow, but he's enormously strong. Spear is a bit of a nuisance. She's light on her feet and likes wearing you down with tons of prodding attacks. Sword is pretty fearsome, since he's probably the fastest and most skilled out of all of them. He's armed with what we call a katana. A sword that specializes in cutting rather than the stabby ones you guys like to use."

Fortunately, cutting weapons were useless against armor. You rap your knuckle against your chestplate.

"Don't get too overconfident." Niko snorts. "Sword is very good a picking out weak spots."

Ah, that made things interesting, at least.

"So, which would you like to face first?" Lucina asks.

Well, it seems like this is a good place to stop for now, considering the lower activity and the fact that it's a Sunday night. We'll be back on Saturday to start our duel against Spear!

And don't forget KanColle on Friday!
