>>1734203

Last time on Shellstorm we established our Character as Private Brandon Crowley. Assault specialist of Bravo company under the command of Captain Theo. We fought in our first engagement and proved our worth by killing three enemy Mechs nearly singelhandely. Our assault specialized Mech "Myrmidon" took light damage and we were back in time for tea. Also in time for our LT, Cricket to do some upgrades to our mech.

>Upgrades incoming.
>>
>>1755372
Fuck yea! Back in time for an awesome quest, missed the fight last time. You got that bitchin eyepatch yet Cursed?
>>
>>1755372
Can't wait
>>
>improved seals and filtration system.
>Increased engine power
>Radio
>Improved arm pistons

After discussing the various parts and alterations that could be done to Myrmidon, you and Cricket finally settle on a new and improved sealing system to help you against gas attacks and better filters to increase how long you could stay buttoned up.

The engine is reworked, pistons traded out for newer versions and the motors output increased to allow the Mech a greater amount of speed and agility. The growling rumble sounds deeper and more aggressive to your ears.

The pistons and servos in the arms and shoulders are switched out, several thicker ones taking their place under the armor plating. The Mechs upper body strength is now considerably higher and capable of vicious blows.

Finally you and Cricket stand back after running the antenna for the radio through the back of the armor, sealing the hole around it with a daub of some kind of resin. Now you can actually figure out some orders on the field.

"Well now you're officially a mech pilot Crowley. You survived your first engagement and you came out sane AND with some decent scrap. Good work lad"
With that, Cricket grips your shoulder and goes back to his paperwork

You turn and look at the sinking sun, your stomach rumbling and body aching from exhaustion.

>Food. Glorious food.

You make your way back along the maze of tents and barracks, command posts and garages. The smell of burnt oil and blood is slowly replaced by the smells of frying grease and meat.

The mess is nearly deserted except for a few soldiers chewing forlornly at their food, obviously preparing for their night watch. You approach the sweaty cooks, the men busy washing the plates and trays, piles of peeled potatoes being dumped into pots of water to soak for tomorrow.

"The hell ya want lad?"
Barks one portly, bearded man, his apron stained with grease and hairy arms curling with tattoos.
"Chowtimes over 'cept for night duty lads. What do ye want?"

"Sir, I just got back from the front earlier today... it was my first engagement sir. I took a lot of fire and Ive been busy working on my mech in case they send us back out tomorrow"
You nearly beg, the tantalizing scent of food nearly driving you mad.

The burly cook eyes you, rubbing his beard as he takes in the soot and grease permeating your body.
"Ach..al'roit lad, I guess I ken give Ye a bit of chow"

Waving over a younger cook the burly man mutters into his ear before the younger man nods, dashing off to return seemingly moments later with some cold salted pork and boiled vegatbles with a hefty splattering of potatoes and a thick crust of bread. A pair of bulging drink pouches later and you are pushed on your way, the cooks waving you off with a newfound respect.

You tuck into the leftovers with the relish of a starving dog before you even make it to a bench, cramming food into your mouth like a animal.

Before you drop your tray you decide to sit down with...

>>
>>1756610
Gods no, thats a horrible idea.

You see people on the other side 'really' don't like flamethrowers, they are about on the same level as snipers.

So Its also very visible and puts a giant explosive barrel of fuel on our Footman, all but ensuring that we won't survive any serious engagement.
>>
>>1756620
this
>>
>>1755934
>>Some members of the infantry regiment that marched out with you.

>>1756620
When he means really don't like flamethrowers he means.....

"Its one of those fuckers shot him before he hits our infantry"
>>
>>1756635
That and I also mean "Check them for any burns or if anyone smells of fumes, if they do shoot the fuck"

Flamethrower operators and snipers were generally excluded from any law if they were captured, because absolutely everyone hates their bloody guts.
>>
>>1756648
To be fair though, shotgunners weren't exactly respected either, so we are screwed slightly.

Clearly what we should do however is get a light mortar mounted on to our back however and filled with gas / HE shells.
>>
>>1756656
Shotgunners did not light people on fire for a slow excruciating death nor did they snip from across the way to make it not be safe to poke your head above the trench line.
>>
>>1756735
Like it matters
Its war and there one of the best ways to clear bunkers, trunches and builded s
Just get a power claw with a flamthower under it.
And if someone is shoting us in thr back we gona be fucked anyways
I mean all we really can fight argest is tanks, foot sloders and other light machs
But saying that in the op says we dont really like the smell of burning so idk if we would get it ic
>>
>>1756735
True but in our case we do turn a 15 degree arc in front of us into a storm of lead that cripples men and shit.
>>
I was thinking for the flamethrower a Flamer design where the gas tank is on the flamethrower
>>
>>1756767
In the back, or from the side. Basically any angle but straight ahead. And guess what, since we're the mech running around creating massive flames every single infantryman is going to do their damned best to take us down, just to avoid 'that' paticular death. Same with plenty of mech pilots.

So now you have guaranteed that we are priority #1 and that theres a deathstar grade weak point that will turn our mech into a brass ox. Not a good way to go.
>>
>>1756813
I gotta get it off my chest. Only in hollywood were flamethrowers a walking fireball.

You have one to two tanks of flammable gel. not explosive gel. Next you have another tank of inert gas to basically act as a giant super soaker. Across the plumbing of the system are various burst disks, etc.

Only way it turns into a fireball is if the whole system gets hit with a mortar and sprays shrapnel and flaming goo everywhere.

I'll let Ian take it away, but the humble flamethrower is a common Agricultural tool to this day. They are mostly propane based nowdays, but you can still find the older gasmix ones here and there.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPQYK5ZMbWY

And if you want to join the darwin awards and have fun doing it:
https://throwflame.com/products/
>>
>>1756838
The real limitation to a flamethrower is fuel. You go through it quickly, the upside is almost anything that is readily ignitable and gellable is fuel. As for propellant, you could use explosive gas, i'd be a bad idea, but its doable. Burst disks would in theory rupture and shoot a geyser of flame in a safe direction while the fuel sits harmlessly. Even a belt driven compressor could provide a near endlessly available amount of compressed gas via the atmosphere.

With that being said, I feel inventing our own gear for the mech complicates the simple joy of this quest. We aren't inventors, we are given what we get, and other upgrades are simple battlefield innovations. Maybe mechs just dont have flamethrowers due to crushing, shooting, or otherwise maiming being more effective and enduring than reliance on such a situational weapon.

...and I failed to understand the entire discussion. My second post is mostly unasked for information and opinion. I will go sit in the shame cube now.
>>
>>1756872

Still pretty useful info honestly, Unless we're using napalm or at least liquid fuel though I don't think the flame thrower would be worth it. It's disgusting I know but with just a quick spray you could probably cover a mech in napalm and light him up with very little he could do. If we're using gas though then it would be powerful but very unlikely to be too useful against a mech with decent armor
>>
>>1756883
Bigger consideration is that modern compositions of napalm can burn 10 minutes, while historic models only get a good 30 seconds or so. While it gets hot as fuck, the real risk is in suffocating the engines or burning any exterior items that are senstive. Metal wouldnt even begin to soften with that level of surface heat. Considering the mech is mostly slab steel, its probably not going anywhere.

Though as consideration the pilot probably wont know whats going on for a bit, and a newer guy would be spooked.

Its hard not to get autistic about it. I worked as military aerospace maintenance and frequently had to help the weapons troops/ crew chiefs trouble shoot their sub systems. My reward was occasionally getting to see camera footage of various weapons, or actually see them assemble some of the equipment prior to launch.

On the flipside, this is also a \qst\ and I dont want to pave reality over the fun of it or fuck with the creators vision.
>>
>>1756813
You know we could just put amour to cover that point so itl be hard to hit

>>1756883
Theres wireing and other things that wont stand up to heat and not to meation the person in side wont be dreassed to combate heat which would happen if you put the mach on fire
Also would mean the person inside will die and most of thr mach would be intact for looting
Just going to have to get very close to it
And at that point might as well just stab the fucker.
Also fire will block his view.
I mean i dont think we will become number one to take down as there are alot other biger and meaner machs around and since the flamethower wont get used very othin as well so as long we not just runing right into thr front line we would be fine
>>
>>1756838
>>1756911
Thanks for the lesson mate, that was really damn cool, I can happily confess to not knowing much about flamethrowers beyond them throwing flames.

>>1756931
You want to put armour plating.
Ostensibly to protect against 'rockets' and other seemingly common anti-mech munitions bound to be flying our way.
On a large, heavy, fuel tank.
That our mech was not designed to carry.

I'm not an engineer, but not one of those things seem particularity feasible.
For start you'd need to switch out the legs to handle the increased weight, the engine to manage the increased weight.

Which probably means a much larger engine that cannot fit into the chassis, so we need a larger chassis for the larger engine so the mech can keep up with the increased weight of an oversized armored fuel tank.
>>
The real question I have here is this: Can we have something to pump out mustard gas?
>>
>>1757172
Mustard gas was often stored as a bill chemical or pellet that would be mixed with another agent. So yes. A toxin sprayer would work on the same principal, with the pressurized liquid mixture turning to gas as it sprays. A flamethrower igniter car driver is similar in terms of uses...so once you pop the fun literally could not stop until the chemical reaction was over. Its actually much more of a hazard than a flamethrower could ever hope to be...hmm. Neat.
>>
>>1755934
>Some members of the infantry regiment that marched out with you.
>>
>>1757172
That and does A/C exist?????
>>
>>1757224
A/C has been used since the 1890s, it was needed for Dreadnought ships.
>>
>>1757244
Awesome, lets install a small unit onto the mech one day. o3o
>>
>>1757256
Though if we start using mustard gas etc, we are going to become the pariah of the front lines. Artillery crews got to be far away when they fired mustard gas, we will be sharing tents with the guys who saw their friends get blinded screaming in that shit.

Im not saying we hit our own guys. But when the infantry see the mech pilot who put Mustard gas, the most hated weapon in the war on his mech.....

Also, their gas masks are shit, they barely keep out the worst of the gas.

>>1757280
hes ALIIIIVE
>>
>>1757272
Unless they have gas masks and no exposed skin. Mustard gas is some scary shit mate, it tends to get stuck in/go through wool/cotton to...
And exposed skin will lead to very unpleasant chemical burns.
>>
>>1757289
Any gass is largey hated
But where would we find enugh or be trusted enguh to use it?
I mean we liked fighting and killing people
But thats differnt to gassing is
The blood god would rather us stab something then that (but it would still be ok)
Most wont live long enugh for the haters to be an issuse and the ones that live would have since enguh shit to be its war carry on
>>
>>1757299
no exposed skin
Would be the bigest issue
As they have masks.

Honestly the flamethower would be safeest to use if you dont want tk hurk our guys not to metion i dont think we are airtight since we had to put a mask on durning the fermans gass attack
>>
>>1757303
I think you missunderstand.

*anyone* who has at any point been exposed to Mustard gas will avoid the guy who voluntarily put that shit in his mech.
And probably a fair percentage of the ones who only heard about it as well.

After all, only an absolute monster would even consider doing that, without even being ordered to.

>Bravo company Infantry.

You approach the group of tired, slightly drunken infantry, the mens uniforms stained with blood and mud. They pass around a canteen, taking heavy swigs and telling stories and jokes that quiet as you approach, the men looking at you apprehensively for a moment.

"Mind if I take a seat with you lads?"
You ask, gesturing towards the empty seats.

They inspect you for a moment before one grins broadly and waves you forward
"Ayyy! Yer that new mech boyo that Westbrook was telling us about! 3 kills, a bleeding load of Jerry foot boys done and a light tank? On his first bloody day! Come! Come! Sit!"

He pushes aside one of the more drunken men, the soldier sagging out of his chair, drooling slightly. You step over the sleeping private and take your seat, the men immediately accepting you into the fold and passing you the canteen of incredibly foul smelling hooch.

No I mean one of the upgrades we bought. Though now that I've re-read it we only got improved sealing and filtration.

Also I just have to point out that the RADIO, One of the most important parts to avoid chaos and confusion especially in a warzone was an optional upgrade. I feel bad for any other recruit not as bad ass as Crowley the Khorne Berzerker
>>
>>1757350
Eh, from what i remember most groups of tanks only had one radio split between all of them. So most had to have a man poking his head out yelling out orders, and trying to hear what their group radioman was yelling and relaying it to the tank crew.
>>
>>1757363
That sounds terrible and incredibly inefficient when the radio vehicle goes down.

Also what's the chance we can get the infantry assault bikes or a half track

[I know assault bikes probably isn't too efficient of a thing especially against mechs but it'd still be cool]

Wouldnt be that hard
Just make them a 2 man one drving the other in a car next to him
Have the driver have a machine gun that hhis able to fire and drive
And the other guys has a luncher with him, would need a carrer and something to help make it stable to shoot
But youl drive then stop and fire then drive off agin.
I mean with how big tragets there firing at dont need to be too close to the mark

"So how were things for you lads on the ground earlier? It looked... Well it looked Fucking awful honestly..."
You ask, watching as the mood around the table grows slightly somber.

"It wasn't as bad as it couldve been lad. The krauts got pushed back with low losses on our end and high losses on their end. Thats the ideal for war these days."
Says one, a mustachioed brit with a large bandage on his bicep.
"Too many young lads dying out there... Its like throwing them into the meat grinder. They just come out as dead, torn meat or as walking corpses.."
He trails off, looking into his tin cup before downing the contents.

Another leans closer, tapping the to emphasize his point
"War has been going on.. What? Seventy? Eighty years? And nothings changed except the gear the new boys bring with them. Hell the front hasn't advanced in nearly ten years in any direction. But here we fight"
He huffs, leaning back on his stool.

A third speaks up, looking across at you
"Its good of you mech pilots to watch out for us. Were not just disposable. Were not tools. We can help you.. If you let us."

>Got minibanned for a while.
>Finish food and get some sleep.

You scrape the last few scraps of congealed meat and potato from your tray and stand, belly stuffed and exhaustion creeping in like a poison.

You shake hands with the men around you, even taking another swig of the godawful hooch they pass around. You make your way blearily through the camp, making your way eventually to your tent where Dawkins sleeps inside, snoring like a ruined engine.

You kick off your boots and unbuckle your pistol belt, collapsing on the bed with a satisfied sigh. Sleep comes nearly immediately.

........

A burning sky, the ground sucking mud, the dead hands of broken men reaching skyward like stunted trees. Twisted, shattered metal adorns the ruined earth, flaming ruin belching black smoke to choke the skies.

Rusted barbed wire curls like decapitated serpents across the bloodsoaked earth, thunder rolls and with it come pounding footsteps, the burning sky itself shaking under the impact.

A broken sword, so tall it dwarfs you is embedded in the earth, carrion birds flying around it like flies. A great hand, wires and pistons stretched from the jagged stump like torn nerves and tendons lays nearby, a mountain to you in height.

Men scream, charging into the teeth of great beasts of iron and brass, flame grouting from their eyes and mouths as they feast upon the soft flesh sent to oppose them.

A winged shadow, the whistling shriek of ten thousand rusted blades. Your eyes are dragged upward as the scorching air is battered down upon you, thick, boiling blood falling like rain as a great Eagle of steel and bronze, blades and guns flaps wings of rusted swords above you. Its hooked, serrated beak opens, flame licking out and searing the blood staining its body. Talons of pitted steel, wrapped in twisting coils of barbed wire descend upon you.

You try to run, your feet seeming to be held in place by the sucking mud. With a grinding shriek the claws close on you....

.........

"Crowley! Wake up! WAKE UP!"
Rough hands shake you before a splash of cold water across your face wakes you. Dawkins broad face looms over you, concern etched on his features as he gives you a experimental shake
"You alroit? You were makin some pretty scary noises there mate."

You sit up, rubbing your temples as you glance at the tent flap, the pale glow letting you know it is just past dawn.

"Yeah... Yeah im alright. Just a nightmare... Just a nightmare..."
You say quietly, attempting to massage away your growing headache. You slept but did you really rest?

Dawkins gives you one last pat on the shoulder before going to get dressed, wanting to get breakfast before the main rush hits.

Mechanically you follow Dawkins to the mess, taking advantage of the clear path his bulk provides. He knows the route by heart, never seeming to look up from the letter in his hands as he situates himself in the blessedly short line.

In no time you are shunted through the mess tent, a plate with a ladle of "eggs" and fried potatoes topped with some unidentifiable meat weighing down your arms as well as a pouch of some fruit juice mixture.

You follow Dawkins, too exhausted to look for a different seat. Plopping yourself down next to your tent mate you dig into your food slowly, chewing without tasting.

Anyone got Cursed's Discord? Might be a good thing to get bookmarked. Considering his whole life events, lost eye, having a life, shit probably got caught up. As painful as it is, I suspect our story is a disposable hobby when it comes to other priorities.

Despite that sentiment from me, its not gonna stop such a golden opportunity for shitposting.

A rare video of Cursed on updating quests and relationship with the anons: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iaysTVcounI

He had to have a surgery for said eye
He'll probably be back in a while

Fuck man, That is rough. Wishin' him well again. I'm tempted to tell a series of side stories that all end in the death of the POV. (tl/dr: they are the German soldiers our erstwhile MC has been skullfucking)

Interlude: Family of Fritz

You serve glorious Germania, and are very proud to say that nearly all male family members are here near the front lines! How proud! Your family comes from a minor, but very old alter Adel.

What is your last name? Ill be checking back in every now and then. Lets all have some fun, and not at all lead into a story that results in crippling PTSD.

Back. a second vote supporting a name overrides a hybrid.

You are Michael "Blitz" Wittman. The nick name is a bit embarrassing, but it stuck with you after you bowled over a junior officer in the company mess hall. It was a forward outpost, and the only thing that saved you from a court martial was the shelling that came a moment later from British forces. Lt Bruno Kreutzberg went from complaining about being covered in ground meat, to being ground meat himself, all in the span of a eyebrow twitch. You gathered the survivors and fell back, enduring a fighting retreat against assault troops to include mechanized infantry. This action and your survival resulted in receiving a minor commendation. The brass cross sits tacked to your belt, out of way, but a bit too sentimental to leave in a box.

You are a father to three sons and four daughters, and indeed you are getting gray in hair, long in tooth, and short in years. Your brother, Till, recently returned to military service in place of his only son. The poor fellow seemed to have seed that favored making girls. You both serve on the gun trucks, leading the younger men, back no longer fit for loading.

To your pride and no small amount of fear, both your oldest and youngest children, August and Willi and have been stationed here at the front lines with you, though you could not be more proud; A specialized Mech team put out to hunt enemy antimechs. They have saved many proud Krieger lives.

Here on the front It has almost been a bit of a family affair, even your cousin serves as an officer in mechanized infantry gas corps.Friedrich; His temper is a bit sullen, but considering his work, It is to be expected.

It is another morning, and now time for you to prepare for rotation into combat duty. Six times you have met thunder and smoke, carnage and death, and six times you have returned. Your sons are fresh to the front. Brother rusty, and Cousin here longer than he cares to say. Still. The British are unskilled, their equipment is entirely a collection of engineering afterthoughts, and their moral is certainly low if the most recent captured load of supplies says anything at all. Salted gelled pork, and chemically stabilized potatoes. Haha, if they had only sent that awful food to the front lines, brave German soldiers would have surrendered and the war would be over already.

You have enough time. What do you want to do?

I guess war prep is locked in. Also, nice touch mentioning the impact of food on morale and the outcome of war. It's thought that the Turnip winter of '16-'17 contributed to Germany's surrender.

Your brother is already there, tightening nuts in accordance with technical data. The Grettle IVVI-"B" trucks are notoriously reliable, but also notoriously unforgiving if regular maintenance is not applied. The engine is simple and rugged, but the inherent imbalance to it generates violent vibration through the entire chassis.

Younger men are loading the ammunition drums and tightening the feed springs. In an act of unexpected mercy, you find a pot of coffee sitting on the exhaust pan of the vehicle. Hot. Though that first sip tells you it was cut with malt and chicory. Palatable after you throw in some canned cream and sugar of unknown providence.

You go hunting today. No more time to dally you fear. Once more death is faced. What will you do to prepare?

>You have a favor to cash in with the mech drivers. Load on one auxiliary turret and gunner, plus high octane fuel. The extra mobility and firepower never hurts, and the clean fuel stops the truck from giving itself away with sooty exhaust.

>The last wave of anti mech infantry were killed in an artillery strike, but their equipment arrived anyway. Load up with panzerfausts for each crewman.

>Attach the pintle hitch and bring the Flammenwerfer wagon. Though not often used, it sits in a corner of the motor pool, immaculately maintained. A self contained apparatus of fuel, fire, and death. You can also load a few extra infantry and supplies on the wagon. Tends to keep the enemy infantry at bay, and in general, running in terror.

>Load up the panzerfausts
British mechs are tough, and there's a decent number of them.

Its a little odd taking a dead man's things, but one could suppose this was more of a clerical error. You and your brother crack open the crates. The top has the eagle burned into it. You run your fingers over it for a bit of luck, an old affect but hard to help. The manual is simple enough and this is a newer design, reusable. Your men hurridly break down the crates, layer the thick beech wood, and secure them around critical parts of the truck. It wont stop a mech, but it tends to protect against infantry and shrapnel a bit better.

Hopping into the driver's seat of the truck, you sound off on the troop radio. Scavenged Like much of your vehicle. Still, very nice. Very clean. "Viel Glück" The engine does not roar, it just grumbles from it's sleep, and the incessant hammering vibrations soon start rocking everything, and everyone. Enough times, and you become used to it, a good massage for a sore back. haha. For the youth though, it is probably hell.

You reach under the display cluster for your little secret. A bar of chocolate. It will be a nice way to ride into battle....if it was there.....You smell it. It must be there! Your hand thumps around, feeling the back of gauges, screws, wires, but the chocolate?! Smack smack. You look over...Till. "TILL!" The entire truck rocks to the side as you go down the road, swerving as you punch him. Today already started out rotten, and now your stomach is grumbling.

Your wife died of cholera two springs ago. Its morning, you wake up like clockwork. Your life has been like clockwork since. The bunk is still dark. Musty, but familiar. The old wool blanket keeps away the early morning chill. Getting up, you get dressed by the meager light shining through the cracks and semi covered windows. As you finish pulling the straps of your boots and blousing your pants, you crack open a locket. Your wife. Maybe today?

Then men view you as something of a local legend, the believe you only come to life at the front. Excited for battle, but dead to the world everywhere else. Its a face you maintain for them. A service you can still give. The truth is you just want to serve as well as you can, taking your own life would be wasteful, better to end it in service. There is a long exhale, its your own. The morning air makes the condensation look like an exhaust leak from a mech. Maybe you are becoming more like a machine every month.

*plink* "Wittman, are you going to stare into nothing all morning? Come! Let us get breakfast before the others! There is glory to be had, but first, we need fuel!" A younger man, new to the front, his happiness borders on the obnoxious, he is also an early riser, so you have become acquainted with him somewhat over the last week since he arrived. "Ja." you reply. "Cheer up my stone-faced friend, soon we will be in battle! Well one of us will be, you Jagers seem content to sit in your tin lunch boxes, don't you? The real men, we are at the front, fighting gods and monsters! Haha!" ...

...Kaiserschmarrn, Hot apples, mixed nuts, and yesterday's tea. "You see Herr Stoneface, though I may be a common infantryman, I eat like a Jager! How? I accompany you. You do not complain, and no one bothers Friedrich Hölle Wittman! In return, you have my wonderful friendship!" He grins with a mouth bursting of pastry. "Come now! Give little brother Fritz a smile." You stare at Fritz like a death's head.

It is time for war. You have enough time to prepare thanks to a short, efficient and early breakfast. Your mechanics are already touching up the environmental seals on your Hunter.

Choice time:
>Take the rangefinder and targeting assembly. It will allow you to much more accurately place the gas strikes, and from afar. It serves no function in close range combat.
>Bring along the smoke generator. Droplets of oil and chlorine are injected directly into your Hunter's exhaust with the pull of a knob. A foul, caustic smoke wreath's your mech, and makes the immediate area a chemical nightmare of running eyes and lungs that come up like fruit compote.
>Bring Frintz and his team as your vanguard. 20 infantry serves as a wide net. They bring light combined arms interspersed with anti mech rifles.

Fritz and his squad are equipped to survive your gentle ministrations of the battlefield. Thicker flack lining for their great coats, and twice tested gas masks. Apparently despite your best preparations, your cousin Michael has already taken a majority of the trucks towards the lines. You are reduced to pulling Fritz and his company in an unpowered truck bed, the cab previously blown apart by a footman. The Infantry of course, delight in this, you of course say nothing. Like a great work horse, you haul then men towards the line, your mech clanking angrily along the way in stark contrast to the merriment behind you. As the thunder and smoke rise in volume, their bravado begins to fade. Already men are dieing on all radio channels, you are a bit late. Unprofessional. hmm.

The calls are coming in for strikes, and the artillery behind the lines are prepared. In the distance clots of dirt explode up, with yellow white clouds of chlorine gas undoubtedly taking lives. Your infantry grow restless.

>Hey guys! CursedQm has returned. Sorry for my long absence. My surgery last Thursday had some pretty major complications. Lots of randomly grown blood vessels in places they shouldn't be decided to bleed down the back of my sinuses and try to drown me in my own blood. Ive been in a drugged up minicoma from them rooting around in my skull trying to keep me from leaking to death. Im glad you guys kept the thread alive. Id have posted or notified you of my condition but until yesterday I was barely coherent enough to talk let alone type. Ill try to crank out some updates today .)

hey Mal, if you are up for running this little side story, or anyone else, It would be cool. I am at a point in life where there is too much going on to do /qst/ and do it right. I go to you because of how well you did in Undead Quest.

Basic format is following the instances of the actual MC's notable kills. the two assault hunters were the brothers. The Lone mech was the cousin. Guntrucks are pretty obvious. Chances to die are for overwhelming skill checks, and saving other troops in the face of death. or the Khornate Footman pilot.

not too familiar with discord. Tried to ping you a couple of ways, it asked for the 4 numbers as well. Ended up finding your name via an archived thread that had a link to slasherquest discord, saw you there. sent you a message and contact request. had to bounce. work to do in real life. Ping me on discord if it works, and if it didnt, let me know.
