General rules:

There is a 10 minute voting period after each post. Non-contradictory votes will be combined as best as possible.

Write-ins for all votes are always welcome and encouraged. They may not all make it into the post or be altered to fit in, but I'll do my best to at least try to address the spirit of the write-in.

Very important or contentious votes may be redone in a stricter voting system as circumstances warrant.

Combat mechanics involve three rolls of 1d100, taking the best, and using the base accuracy and crit ranges of the the PTU system, roughly, but the 'turn order' will be more like the anime, where sometimes you can do a few moves in a row or be hit by a combo of moves yourself, all depending on circumstances. Stronger moves tend to take more time and have more cooldown than weaker moves and also may leave you open to an interrupt, so beware of that timing. Speed is more important for closing ground, intercepting, and other things and doesn't necessarily mean going first.

Pokemon and trainers are unique, and may have certain specializations, skills, or other things that the video-game mechanics might not allow. Some examples: That kung fu Bellsprout in the anime, that crystal Onix, or a Roggenrolla that can fly. Herb's perception skills, pokemon knowledge, context clues in general, and other things will hopefully come into play to avoid completely unfair, unforeseeable bullshit, but expect more bullshit from more advanced trainers.

Call me out on a mistake and receive a suggestive picture, mostly likely a butt.

Pokemon:
Gobble (Munchlax)
Mace (Roggenrola)
Belladonna (Roselia)
Dice (Croconaw)
Sorbet (Vulpix)

Location: Tabo Island, outside a tiny mainlander town.

Recently: You agreed to help Murkrow out with his stash. Gobble jobbed a Snorlax, When finding out Murkrow had a sister with a broken wing, went to go help heal it.

You don’t know what to do. The thought of it makes you want to barf, but the only solution you can see is convincing them to let you break the wing to reset it.

“Hey, Murkrow. I need to do something that’s going to hurt.”

He cocks his head and narrows his eyes.

“I know. But it’s to heal the wing. See, it’s already healed. The only way to set it right is to heal it again. That means...breaking it.”

Murkrow, the skinny one, puffs up. You try not to flinch at the sudden move.

“Can’t we take it to a pokemon center?” Laki asks.

“They’d have to do the same thing.” Hana answers.

“I can promise for a fact that the one it town doesn’t have any painkillers.” Abigail says. “And...don’t tell her I said this, but our nurse can barely handle pressing the button on the machine.” Abigail is still watching you, curious as to how you’re going to heal this. “I’m guessing with your confidence about healing, you can do a better job.”

“I can make some medicine that will numb the pain. Mostly.” Keira volunteers.

Murkrow is looking a bit overwhelmed. He’s stuck on the thought of breaking the wing. The fat one seems apprehensive and unsure as well.

This is going to take some convincing. You’ve got to show them you can heal it. You completely understand why they-

There’s a sharp cracking noise. Everyone turns to see Hana holding her normal pinkie with her robotic hand. She broke it.

“WOAH!” Laki leaps.

“Hana!”

“What are you doing!”

“It’s okay Murkrow. I know what it’s like to have to be hurt to be healed. I’m with you.” Hana, trembling in pain, holds her hand out to you. “Watch closely.”

You have a lot you want to say, but you don’t want her to linger in pain. You reach out, close your eyes, and with everyone watching, focus your healing on her finger.

You just don’t feel on the ball right now. When it’s over, you see Hana giving a brave smile and showing Murkrow. Murkrow seems to be impressed and amazing and coming around, but Hana is having trouble pretending that it’s fully healed.

“So can we go ahead?” Laki pushes Murkrow?

His sister, watching, lifts her weak broken wing, she nods to him. He very slowly nods to you. He’s really suspicious, but doesn’t seem to have any better alternative.

Everyone waits around for a short bit while Keira rushes to come up with something for the pain. You’d volunteer to help, but you just don’t know enough about plants or medicine to be of any use, and the makeshift mortar and pestle is being handled by Laki.

Hana is sitting a little bit away.

You sit down next to Hana. She’s got a smile plastered on her face, but water in her eyes.

“I don’t want to complain, but I don’t think that healed all the way.” She mutters quietly, giving you a look showing she suspects you already know. “Can you manage with the wing?”

“Umm, I think so.” You glance back over to the Murkrows. The one you deal with is watching the painkiller being made, but clearly lost.

“About what you did...”

“I know.” She interrupts. “I pretty much immediately regretted it. But it worked, right?”

“Well, he’s convinced, but I don’t know if you needed to go that far. Are you okay? That had to really hurt.”

Her smile softens. The eyes that she gives you are ones you’ve only seen a few times from her. It makes you feel like a child being looked through by someone five times your age. “It’s nothing I’m not used to.”

“That’s...” you scratch your head, hoping it’ll loosen out the right word, “brave of you. But please don’t do something like that again. I don’t like to see you hurt.”

The look in her eye fades a little. “Sorry. And thanks.” She nudges your shoulder lightly.

You smile, she smiles back. You share a nice little moment.

You close your eyes and try to focus your thoughts. That conversation put you a little more at ease. You’re still worried about her, but you feel like you got to know a part of her you’re still very unfamiliar with. You feel a bit more centered.

“All ready?”

You open your eyes. You don’t know how much time passed, but you can see the larger Murkrow already drank something Keira gave her. Laki is standing over two boards that she set up, with a place to put the wing. You feel a little sick just looking at it.

Hana stands up. “I’ll-”

“Nope. I will.” Laki says. She doesn’t seem like she’s trying to be too bossy, but more that she’s firmly concerned about Hana doing more right now.

You watch carefully. Stoically. Murkrow sees you, and so do the others.

Laki carefully places the larger, scared Murkrow down onto the contraption, whispers something assuring, and stands up straight. “Alright. On three, okay? One. Two. -”

She presses down hard. The sound, both from the snap and the noise Murkrow makes, is almost unbearable. The sight is pure panc

“Hold sti-!” Laki struggles “It’s okay. Hold still.”

Keira moves in to help as well. Abigail watches, trying to keep her lunch down.

Hana urges you forward.

“Uh, right.” you quickly move over and kneel down. Your own pokemon move themselves and each other out of the way, all watching carefully.

You put a hand on the wing that the large Murkrow bravely does it’s best to keep still. Or maybe it’s just loopy from the medicine. You can’t really tell. You focus on the task at hand instead, and let your energy flow into your healing.

It’s become a lot less about forcing the flow, and a lot more about making a simple connection of energy to the right spots and feeling it suck out of you. You work more on controlling how much and how fast it flows and cutting it off at the right time than anything else. When you feel like you have it, you stop and open your eyes.

There’s a silence as everyone watches. The large Murkrow is calm. It gets up. Laki let’s it go carefully.

There’s a test flap, then another. It adjusts the wing back and forth, checking every little bit and re-familiarizing itself with how it’s supposed to rest on it’s body.

Then she takes off. There’s a collective sigh of relief, followed by gasps as it caws in delight. She’s full of energy and life, and despite her large size she really books it around. She tires quickly though, and comes down to a sloppy stop in front of your group again.

You waver in dizziness. It passes quickly.

“Amazing!” Abigail says. “I....how?”

The larger Murkrow flies onto your shoulder and gives you a playful peck on the head. Ow. But you laugh anyway as it flies to do the same to Laki next

The others are more celebratory. Murkrow, the smaller one, approaches with tears in his eyes. He looks up at you, not knowing what to say or do.

You slap his wing with a high five. He jumps, but feels foolish when he sees you were just giving a nice gesture.

To emphasis the point, you kneel down and hug him. But he doesn’t like this at all. He freaks out, clawing at you. You flinch and squish him in forcefully, but not enough to hurt him, as his talon gets stuck on your shirt. There’s a small struggle before you’re able to let go and he can also get free.

“Woah!” You fall back. Mace leaps in front to defend you.

Murkrow quickly gets a hold of himself and backs down. He looks at the ground apologetically, and explains.

“He says that he doesn’t like being hugged.” Keira tells you. “He likes to have his wings free all the time.”

“Ah. Sorry, Murkrow.”

“He says he’s sorry. He hopes your feather-dress is alright.”

“My...” you look at the shoulder of your shirt. Some strings are pulled. You’ll have to see if you can fix that later. “It’s fine.”

He looks like he’s

You get up and stretch, looking around at the others.

“I’d like to speak to whoever is trading you all this food.” Keira says. “I want to have a word with him.”

“Oh good. More Loanah clergy enforcement of what we’re allowed to do.” Abigail says to nobody in particular.

“I just want to talk.” Keira looks wounded, and a little upset.

“And if you don’t like what they have to say?”

Keira has no answer. Murkrow pipes in, though. “He says that their leader will lose his mind if anyone else tries to go over his head and talk to the human that trades them food”

“Hey, Laki!” You quickly try to deflate the situation. “Let’s teach them how to forage!”

“You know how to forage?” Abigail asks, genuinely curious

“I uhh, no. But Laki does.”

Laki gives you a hesitant look. “Kind of. Keira’s probably the best, though.”

“How come nobody asked me?” Hana says.

The three girls all look at each other, then share restrained giggles.

“What?”

“You’re more of a mainlander than Soft Hands.” Laki tells her. “It’s fine. You know about...movies!”

Hana puts her hand in her pocket and flinches. Her pinky must still hurt a lot. “Anyway, Keira, go ahead.”

A few curious Murkrow come gather around as well. They seemed to be drawn in from the screech of the broken wing earlier.

Keira looks at everyone staring at her. She perks up. “Alright! Well, first, you want to keep an eye out for...”

She goes on talking about different edibles you can forage, how to spot ripe fruits and what’s not ripe, easily confused plants, and other things

You slowly back away, giving more room to Gobble and the other pokemon. Gobble seems keenly interested in this talk about where he can find food.

You sit next to Hana and take her hand in yours.

She flinches. “It’s fine. You don’t need to push yourself on my-”

You let more of your energy flow out. You get a little lightheaded.

She loosens up, looking drastically more relaxed. She still winces a little as she moves it around, but she looks like she at least doesn’t have constant pain any more.

“Thanks. I...are you okay? You look paler than u...you look pale.”

“Oh yeah. I’m fine.” You blink it off.

“Okay.” She squeezes your hand. “Thanks. I... I want to make it up to you later.”

“Oh, you don’t have to.”

She smiles. “I want to.”

“But how-”

She pushes some fingers together and mumbles some things you don’t quite hear.

“Make sense?” Keira says loudly to the crowd of Murkrow.

They caw.

“Great! Then everyone try to look for one of the plants I mentioned, and come back here.” They all disperse. “Have a blessed time!”

You slump. Looks like Keira wants to stay around for a bit and make sure they’ll do their exercise alright.

You guess you have a little time, then.

You yawn as you lean your head on Hana’s shoulder. She makes a small, cute little noise before putting her arm around you.

You’re just going to rest your eyes for a bit, then start on some training. Maybe you can study while that’s happening. You let your mind wander a bit instead of thinking up the best plan. You just need a little time.

You slowly wake up, wiping some slobber from your mouth. It’s dark. As your eyes adjust, you see you were sleeping under a blanket on top of Hana.

“Morning wood? I call it breakfast in bed.” Hana mumbles.

You freeze, looking down at Hana. But you see that she’s just mumbling in her sleep.

You get your bearings a little more and find that everyone else is asleep too. Laki is close by, but has the larger Murkrow sleeping on top of her. They didn’t bother setting up a tent, but there is a hastily assembled canopy in case of rain.

You stretch, wondering what you’re going to do in the middle of the night. That’s when you spot Keira. She’s got the Time Flower in her hands, and she’s muttering about trying to solve it.

“Come on.” She mutters. “Why won’t you open up? I’m a priestess!”

“Need any help?”

She glances back. Her facepaint is running slightly from the sweat on her face. It looks like she’s been working hard at this. “Oh. You hand it back to her. She looks at it in her hand.

“I think you can do it.”

“I’ve been trying.” There’s a slight edge of frustration on her voice.

“Well, maybe you just need a different approach.” You start. “Close your eyes.”

She does so, and focuses. You walk her through the feeling you have when you heal. The way your sort of slowly approach another aura and let a connect just happen, keeping the perfect distance. It’s like a magnetic liquid, where you only want to drain some, but not all of it. You don’t know if that’s the best metaphor but it’s the best you can do.

And suddenly, you find yourself surrounded by silent lights. It’s like a holographic movie playing of you and the group earlier in the day. You see Hana slowly bringing you down to a more comfortable position, Laki training with Murkrow, Abigail calling home on her pokedex. It’s amazing.

Keira wavers back and forth in her seated position, in a trance. Sweat pours down her face. But from her expression, you can see she’s thrilled, if strained, to be able to do this.

“Let me help you.” You say, uncertain if she can really hear you right now. You sit next to her and take her hand in yours.

Okay, Herb. Just like before. Pour your aura into her. She opens up and lets you give her everything.

Her eyes glow and she goes into overdrive. The holographic vision goes back farther. Much farther. You see flashes of light as it speeds backwards into the past. What’s more though, you see yours and Keira’s auras glowing bright white. It’s like you both enter into another realm.

Finally, the rushing ends, and you find yourselves floating spectrally above your bodies. She looks to you, trying to see if you see this.

“Y-yeah.”

“What...what do we do?”

Some sort of spectral winds rush around you. You can see the real world, but also another layer on top of it. The sleeping people and pokemon have a faint glow to them.

She, or her aura, rather, look around. With some concentration, she rewinds -for lack of a better term- to see things that happened earlier that day. You watch as Abigail and Laki debate over who caused the great disaster that ade large parts of the interior of Tabo unusable.

Keira concentrates again, harder, and goes back to events that must have happened years ago, judging by the clothes of the Loanan people you see run by.

“We can see things that have happened.” She tells you. “We can...we can see who caused it. The disaster, I mean.”

“Is this safe?”

She shrugs. “I don’t know. But we have a saying. ‘Life is never safe from death.’ It doesn’t translate that well, but it means, well, that you never know what will happen.”

That’s not very encouraging.

“We have a chance to see things, Herb. I don’t know how long we can keep this up.”

“Alright. Let’s do it.”

“You mean, see what happened to cause the disaster?”

“Yeah. It could solve a lot, right?”

She looks down at Abigail and Laki. “I hope so.”

You try to push your aura to fly. To your surprise, it works. It just feels natural. You zoom off towards Tabo’s interior.

Keira laughs and laughs, ecstatic at this new journey. “It’s like a dream vision on Hakululu smokeleaf, but different.”

She reaches out to hold your hand so you don’t get separated. It feels warm. But you can slowly feel your energy draining as well. Whatever you do tonight, you’ll have to ration out your energy.

You keep zooming, going faster and farther. Various random visions of the past play out on the land below you. You only catch small flashes and scenes.

But one jumps out at you. A young trainer with an old Heracross.

“Dad!” You stop in your tracks.

Keira stops with you.

You look down, watching dad play with his Heracross.

“Do you want to stay?” She offers.

You hold her hand again. You can sense the worry in her voice. “No. Let’s keep going.”

She flickers a little, but refocuses. The two of you head to the interior of Tabo, to see what happened, how, and maybe, find the truth. It’s strange. You don’t feel like you have a personal stake in that, and you don’t think Keira really cares either, but the two of you both seem invested anyway. You guess the idea of settling a debate and bringing peace to at least Laki and Abigail is enough. There’s also the curiosity factor.

>>
>>1771592
I'd like to take this opportunity to bring up the time you said that if Kat had over exerted herself while healing Robin, we would have played as Robin for a while.

I love alt-perspective bits, so I would love the opportunity to play as Gobbo or Mace or something, if not Laki/Hana. But if we wait until Herb gets incapacitated to do so, I worry it will never happen. Maybe put Herb on a bus for a bit while he aura trains? I dunno.

I think I posted a list of bin ideas towards the end of the last thread.

I wanna get Mace to tell campfire stories.

Having given it some thought, I hope that either we don't learn how to talk to pokemon, or if we do, it is more of an understanding of intent than a language.

>>1771624
[They're coming around. Well, especially Hana. They're a bit in stasis though, wanting to get more intimate with Herb first. Laki's main reservation is frankly that she finds Hana's unbreakable spirit intimidating. Hana's is her fear of exposing her power level to Herb, let alone Laki. But every day she gets a little bolder. She also is sort of looking to Herb and Laki on what's expected of her and what the rules are.

I'll try to put more in and give Herb some chances to be more involved. I think a date night would do everyone some good.]

I think the important thing is to take that kind of thing slow, done correctly it could be a really interesting method of storytelling that would add variety; incorrectly could be just terrible and destroy the feeling of the whole quest, which if you ask me is your main selling point as a QM.

It's probably not a bad idea to do it for just 1 or 2 threads max at first and judge how if effects the story and the gauge readers opinions on it, if it works out you could later to greater effect.
>>
>>1771638
I feel like Herb would benefit from seeing an example of a healthy harem relationship. Kat planted the idea that it was possible, but he should probably see it in action, get a chance to ask some questions. Are his girlfriends expected to date each other? Does he go on dates with them together or separate? Is it weird to show them off? You've seen people be proud and doting of their singular S.O. before. But you don't want to be an ass.

And also I want to see Herb talk to Kat/Robin/Clair while Hana is there too.

Also, I assume the key to alt-perspectives is to use them sparingly. And if people don't like it, I'd still like to see it as a mainstay of bins.
>>
>>1771638
I like alternative perspectives, I think that say if some character splits off (pokemon or otherwise) and the action of some event is happening around someone other than Herb than we should vote to change perspectives so the players can do what they want. Also when Herb is knocked out of commission due to reasons i think it would be really fun to play another characters perspective.
>>
>>1771638
The issue with different perspective threads is that anons don't act like the character they are: E.G. players might play Hana as a pure waif afraid of sex.

Some might play Laki as an evil vindictive bitch to take her out of the waifu race.

Alternatively they panic and make certain decisions out of fear which are totally out of character or just plain stupid.
>>
>>1771715
I trust gobble to give us choices that are only in character for alt perspectives, I have no fear of meta-gaming or out of character actions happening if we control a non-Herb character because Gobble is that good a GM.
>>
>>1771729
I agree Gobble is an excellent QM but the fact of the matter is they have no experience using alt perspectives and the readership has no experience using them in this quest, it's something that should be approached with caution at the very least.

[Hard to say. I like both major BTFO moments and close calls. I really enjoyed writing Robin vs her mother, even if that's a cheat since that wasn't really a voted on fight. Kat steamrolling with Oberon was fun, too. I liked the Ghost gym fight also, since it was a bit closer and I felt anons were giving it a lot of thought instead of trying to brute force. Anything that involves outsmarting my plans is always great to me.]

[Eh. It's more accepted than you'd think, mostly. The more Herb proves himself, the more he's accepted. So far he's way ahead of any expectations. It's hard to hate such an enthusiastically nice guy. Someone so accomplished in such a short time must have great lineage. Or he's just cheating somehow and making a mockery of things. Either way, a fertility ritual is less about lewdness and jealously than it is about honoring the islands and making them stronger and more virile. He'd be amplifying the virility of the region itself, so any jealousy would (mostly) be evened out with excitement over that. Since fertility rituals are fairly rare, it's not a worry that it'd be abused.]

Those two are really good together. I didn't get rapey vibes from it, Laki is the good, responsible type of dominant, who is trustworthy and keeps up communication.

A few typos, but nothing that inhibited understanding except for "But if it is..." could probably be "But if so..."

I'm eager to see more people (mom, sister, Laki's family, Kat, Polu, Val) learn about our new relationship. Once we leave this island I'll be sure to ask in a post-thread what Abigail's impression of us was.

I agree with Laki. Fuckin' A.

I'm actually intrigued to see where Laki and Val's whole 'things goes and how it gets handled. Does it end? Does Laki let it keep going but feels guilty about It? Does it keep going and she doesn't see it as an issue? How do Herb and Hana feel about it?

There's so much for these characters to talk about in their relationships. I'm really looking forward to it.

I wonder if Laki and Hana will end up going all the way with each other out of desperation before Herb's ready.
>>
>>1780914

Very sexy stuff Gobble, but the real boner was in my heart. I really enjoy learning about Laki's internal struggles and it's cute to see how Herb effects her. I never got any sense that Herb and Val had those sorts of feelings for each other. It'd be interesting if Hana and Laki brought it up though. Herb probably doesn't want to share his girls, but wouldn't have much ground to stand on for the "I'm not sharing" position.

It's not a potential future that I see being likely though.

They're wonderful characters and /I/ hope that the first night of penetrative sex is literally decided by something like a coin toss. Like, Herb's spent all day preparing a room, has the candles lit with the rose petals thrown about the room and Bella VERY SAFELY put away in her ball or the other pokemon are being babysat(Day care center use in a quest? Wooo!). So when those two enter the room they see Herb trying to be gentlemanly as fuck and failing cutely while being unable to decide how to proceed.
Perhaps the two girls exchange looks and do a rock, paper, scizor match to see who goes first or for the sake of /my/ fetish Hana is the "bigger" lady and coaches the two scrubs while getting off super hard because she has a goddamn voyeur fetish as is BLATANTLY obvious.

you, uh, got any more of that face paint girl?
>>

line 37 "you" should be "he"
end of line 40 "he" should be "be"
line 127 "same" should be "say"
line 155 "town" should be "tell"

really cute ending Gobble, looking forward to the next thread

Can someone give me a run down on characters names and basic personality traits? I forget where I left off and I don't have time to restart. I remember a dominant ex Olympic player or something, a native with a face mask, a robot, and a bitchy girl. Also I remember a big Dragon pokemon coming down to eat people.
>>1783145
Glad to hear you're doing fine, you're one of my favorite authors, and seem to be a great person to boot
>>
>>1784461
No, just read the quest man, it really isn't that long. Just search Gobble's trip and you'll read through the quest fast.
>>
>>1784468
I've already read most of it though, just need a refresher. Doesn't matter though, if you don't wanna give it I'll figure it out on my own.
>>
>>1784469
Ex Olympic is Laki, Kiera is the native pristess/face mask, robutt is Hana, and "bitchy" girl is probably Jane. You're missing Valerie who is the blonde daughter of the man who basically created the industry in the islands, she hasn't had much time to shine recently due to a lot of relationship stuff being settled and figured out.

After a rather large shitstorm(If you read it JUST read Gobble's posts, it'll save you brain cells) Laki and Hana are both with Herb in a relationship. Kiera and him are exploring more aura related stuff as they go around the islands.

I WOULD suggest just reading the archives though to get a real refresher because the characters have gone through a lot of exposition since the last time we met Hydregion(Dragon pokemon).
>>
>>1784461
It sounds like you left off on thread #15, or possibly #13.

There's a lot to fill you in on, and I suggest reading the archives. But i understand some people are busy, so here's a shot at summing it up.

We play as Herb. He's not a confident boy, but he's taken the chance at reinventing himself moving provides to be, while still not confident, at least brave. Some mix of good luck and skill have made that bravery make him look super competent, even though Herb himself still has, to put it kindly, humility.

There are six other members of the main cast.

Polu: the other boy. He was heavily influenced by a surfer flick that was filmed on his home island when he was little. He's a competent battler, and easy to get along with. His island's faction of the Loanan faith, the normal temple, was banned a long time ago, and he believes it was due to the scheming ghost temple, and not his people's wrongdoings. Some people used to pretend to be his friend to get him to do stuff. He has a crush on a gym leader's daughter.

Valerie: Priveleged, sheltered, but not spoiled. Her father is the largest mover/shaker in Loanah. Along with Herb, she's the only white kid. She does contests. Gets along well with Herb, and sees us as someone who tells it like it is ever since we gave her a really honest opinion of her a while back. She wanted to take her journey as a chance to exercise some independence, but put that on hold for a while because Hana needed to use her Yacht to charge her limbs. The two grew close during that time.

Jane: her father was a mainlander and her mother Loanan. She grew up on the mainland, but sees Loanah as her home. With colored contact lenses, she can pass as entirely Loanan. She desperately wants to be accepted as Loanan, which probably explains why she wants to collect shards, a sort of sacred recognition of exemplary deeds. She used to worship Laki, but now resents her for giving up (and symbolically pissing on Loanah/Loanans) at the games. She gives Laki a very, very hard time. Jane also has paranoid tendencies, and seems to alternate between recognizing our honesty and thinking we're some Machiavelli, toying with everyone who we meet. She has likely had her heart broken at least once. A fierce battler.
>>
>>1784489
Keira: I'd say she's Herb's closest friend who he isn't dating and isn't a pokemon. She's a priestess of the ghost temple, and has duties pertaining to escorting the dead to the afterlife. She knows an assortment of rituals, and her word carries weight to all in the Loanan faith (which really needs a proper name). She once molested us in our sleep but she apologized for it so it's ok between us. Ghost priestesses don't normally go on journeys, hers is experimental. Personally I don't believe she'll really have journeyed until she visits the mainland but for now Herb/Valerie/Hana/Laki/Polu/Jane all provide a whole lot of insight about the world outside her own experiences. We once did an aura-mixing (mind meld) where she remembered that she has been repressing her sexuality. When she decided that served her no purpose, she broke that mental barrier. Then we masturbated in front of each other naked in he woods, as platonic friends. Recently, we found a powerful artifact with her, called a "time flower." We are currently using it to peer back in time and see who polluted this island.

Hana: Life just keeps fucking shitting in Hana. Orphaned, mutilated, bankrupt, raped, you name it, Hana has experienced that tragedy. Even so, she's a sweetheart and doesn't quit on people. Personally, I think she can be reckless, and I hope that doesn't stem from low self-worth. Once Herb caught her a Chincou to charge her limbs with, she's been able to leave Valerie's yacht and set off on her own. She has an affinity for water types. She's very very very kinky, and is glad Herb hasn't judged her for that so far. She's spent a lot of time on the mainland for medical needs/being an orphan. She confessed her feelings for us and we said yes, and are now dating her.

Laki: she puts up a tough front to compensate for being sensitive. She's also pretty tough still though. She's famous, or perhaps infamous, locally for her performance and failure at the international games. She's strong in her convictions, including island tradition, though her faith has been shaken at least once by her travel abroad. Can't get it through her thick skull how cute she is. Has some self image/confidence/worth issues. Has a hate-on for Jane. Jane isnt willing to be emotionally vulnerable enough to express her feelings of betrayal about Laki as anything other than taunting, so it's understandable Laki doesn't like her. Hours after we started dating Hana, we talked to Laki and realized "fuck I like her too" and had a bit of a breakdown. Lucky Herb, Harems are a thing on Loanah and both Laki and Hana agreed to try out sharing Herb. It's going surprisingly well so far, though it also hasn't been too long either.
>>
>>1784490
Herb has grown in a lot of ways. His patience and empathy have been tested time and time again, and usually he can be really compassionate and solve whatever the problem is. He's made a lot of progress on knowing when to put his foot down too though. After a spirit journey, Herb unlocked the power of his aura and can heal and rejuvinate others on contact. He still hasn't fucking tested to see for certain if it works on himself. He has also learned to unlock the hidden potential of pokemon. Whether or not that works like his healing and can therefore be used on humans is also untested.

Herb is so fucking friendly that even the wildlife seems to make friends with him wherever he goes, including that giant dragon he beat up, the bloodthirsty shark he cuddled, the really smart Tauros he taught Surf to, and the Murkrow he trades shiny things with.

Oh and sometimes Rayquaza (aka Fug) visits us in our dreams to show us visions but not explain anything. We fed him dream-pancakes. I wonder if those visions of catastrophic destruction were important? We haven't followed up on them so probably not.
>>

Zoinks, didn't know Hana got raped. Makes me sad. All the characters come back to me now though, thank you very much.
>>
Incidentally, does anyone know the thread number in which Kiera and Herb slept naked in a cave
>>
>>1784492
Herb's pokemon are a muchlax named Gobble who shows exemplary self-control and is learning to cook from us. He recently punched out a Snorlax and it was the coolest shit.

Bella is the Roselia who evolved from a Budew which hatched from the egg we got from our late grandfather. She hatched when only Herb and Laki were present. She imprinted on them and emulated them both.

Dice is a Crocognaw, though he was a totodile when we caught him. He was released by his previous trainer and has, or at least had, some abandonment issues.

Mace is a Roggenrola who believes evolving would result in his identity death, or something tantamount. And old, old pokemon and a deep thinker. Patient as the mountains, but also excited to see new things. A godamn dynamo.

Sorbet is an Alolan Vulpix, and our newest addition. I haven't found her that interesting, but I do know our munchlax has a crush on her. He barely knows her though, so he probably just thinks she's cute. They're not even in the same egg group. I guess Gobbo gets some kink from robomommy.
>>
You know what I remember why I stopped reading, it's because Laki is a cunt and was going to pressure cute Val into having sexual relations outside of a relationship and it made me sad
>>
>>1784494
IIRC, It was revealed in a lewdbin from Hana's perspective (grinding experience) that her Uncle was her first time, though she doesn't count it. Her much more recent comment about coercion not having to be explicit to be real reminded me of it.

>>1784495

>>1784501
Laki's always been able to take "no" for an answer, which is what's important to me. And she's been made an honest woman now, so you don't need to worry about it any more I guess.

If a sexual predator convinces a 13 year old to strip for him, saying "it's what your body wants, you know it is", is that okay to you? Just because it's not outright rape doesn't mean it's okay. I feel sick.
>she lost her virginity to her uncle
wtf I thought this was comfy pokemon its not fair
>>
>>1784514
I think we have two different ideas about the ages of these characters, especially the age difference between Laki and the rest.

And yeah, Hana's story is jarringly tragic. I didn't even mention how living so much of her life abroad has left her feeling like an outsider to Loanah. Fuck, the morning after her crush accepted her confession he went and confessed to another girl. Even the best guy she knows couldn't stay loyal to her for 24 hours. In her last bin she admitted to herself that part of the reason she agreed to share Herb with Laki was because she would feel guilty not giving Herb a "whole woman."

Everyone in the cast is constantly growing and healing though.

Except maybe Jane. When we last saw her she seemed like she might have been slipping back into paranoid delusions.
>>
>>1784526
Did gobble say this would end in a harem? Or will he have to make a choice between cunty rapist and cute punished robot
>>
>>1784527
It's a quest. Herb, Hana, and Laki are giving a Harem relationship a shot. Nobody, not even Gobble, knows how it will end for certain.

Personally, I'm hoping Hana and Laki grow romantic feelings for each other and the three of them live happily ever after. They can take turns being harem leader or whatever.

And im pretty sure Laki did nothing illegal, though feel free to ask for word of Gobble on that one.

After all, Gobble's threshold for "kinda rapey" is taking a second to realize you need to remind your partner of the safe word.
>>
>>1784537
She should not be trying to pressure Val into have lesbian sex
>>
>>1784539
She didn't, Laki is hilariously aware of boundaries because of her Island's past.

Stop saying rapist, sheesh
>>
>>1784542
" You switch to another knot. “Do...do you like Valerie?”

“Yeah. She’s alright. A bit bubbly, and she doesn’t really know much outside of her rich little bubble, but she’s nice.”

Oh man this is awkward. “No, I mean-”

“I know what you mean, Soft Hands. No, I don’t have a crush on her. But I am going to nail her.”

You freeze. “W-wha-”

“Offer’s already out there. Just a matter of time. She knows I don’t want a relationship. She knows what her body wants. And I want her body.” She turns her head and opens her eyes. “Taking what you want is what my people are all about.”

THIS IS RAPEY! It makes me feel sick. If Val wants to have sex with someone, it's her choice, but to take advantage of a naive girl's independence issues just for non emotional sex is fucked up.
>>
>>1784527
we already did have to make a choice and picked punished robot by one vote, then the cunty rapist supporters starting having a tantrum and intentionally trying to derail the quest so we agreed to poly.

Laki propositioned Valerie.
Valerie decided she wasn't ready to say yes.
Laki is okay waiting for Valerie to make up her mind, and believes she will say yes.

>>
>>1784549
Nigga, please read the quest, he's desperately trying to not spoil anything for you because something did happen.
>>
>>1784549
Okay, sure, what leverage do you believe Laki can/did exert over Valerie?

She's not significantly older, she's not her caretaker, she doesn't have financial pressures to extort with. Valerie isn't so naive she doesn't understand what sex is. I don't see any good indication that Laki coerced Val in any way. Val is, as far as everyone here can tell, able to and responsible for giving or withholding consent, and Laki will respect that decision.

Seriously, Keira deserves this accusation more than Laki and we all put that behind us a long time ago.
>>
>>1784553
Val has independence issues.
>>
>>1784554
What issues do you believe those are?

What makes you believe she has them?

How would they prevent her from being capable of giving consent?

What makes you believe Laki knows about them and is intentionally exploiting them?
>>
>>1784559
She hasn't ever been independent before and that's her whole reason for going on the trip, but she feels like it's been crushed a little since Hana is coming along.

She has said this.

She can give consent I guess, but its still very mean for Laki to take advantage of this. She wants to be independent a bit more, here comes sexual predator Laki in to molest her
>>
>>1784560
Anon, most of what laki says is stuff that makes her feel more incontrol, it's 90% bullshit. It's a security blanket for someone who's life was ruined by her own actions and has suffered for it for a while.

>>
>>1784567
Okay, so:
Molesting: it would be inaccurate to just call it molestation. It is, however, groping. So, fair point on that.

Sexual harassment: it would be if Val asked her to stop but Laki kept doing it. We don't know that.

Conditioning: are you talking about grooming? Because that's not how grooming works.

Overall, it sounds like something laki would do drunk, I can think of another time Laki was drunk and groped. Which reminds me, Laki hasn't been drunk in a long time, come to think of it.

What thread are you on? I'm looking forwards to your reaction to a couple other things.

>>
>>1784591
"A little antsy".

You got "a little antsy" over things that never happened, threw out the context of what did happen, twisted the events to reflect what you wanted them to be, and then had a mini panic attack/rant about it.
>>
>>1784586
Have you been reading the bins?

>>
>>1784594
>You got "a little antsy" over things that never happened, threw out the context of what did happen, twisted the events to reflect what you wanted them to be

to be fair I'm pretty sure most people do that on both sides of virtually every argument that has ever happened in history, they just don't see it when it is their opinion. As for the ranting I like it, it's honest and open at least.
>>
>>1784587

>>
>>1784603
I dunno I guess I just thought you'd get on Keira's case for actually molesting Herb?

And by plantain scene I mean when Jane intentionally grabs Herb's penis and threatens to break it off?

I just thought you'd have a hot take on how those scenes relate to sexual abuse and how that reflects on those characters?

Because at the time, I sure did.
>>
>>1784606
Was that when they were stuck in a closet or something? I won't lie I skimmed that part when it was happening, guess I was busy. I don't think it was meant to be sexual though, by Jane? See the difference is, for Kiera, she is not dominant. She doesn't really know what she's doing. Laki knows her sexuality, and it harassing a girl until she gives up her body to her, and that's much worse then dick grabbing as a threat and all. Also he's a guy, so it just doesn't effect me as much I guess.
>>
>>1784610
>Also he's a guy, so it just doesn't effect me as much I guess.
it is as bad dude, it's something you should work on if you can, though it can be hard to change gut reactions you should know it on an intellectual level at least.

But yeah I agree on your point with Keira.
>>
>>1784612
Obviously I know on an intellectual level that it's bad. Of course, on an intellectual level I shouldn't care at all, since its not real. In incidentally, do you have a thread number for the Jane molestation?
>>
>>1784601
The ranting may have been open, but it was certainly not honest.

>>1784610
If you grab someone's sexual organs, it is, by definition, sexual. Also, you're saying threatening someone with bodily harm isn't as bad as a thing that never happened. You clearly don't know what harassment is. It's not "doing something that may or may not make someone uncomfortable". It IS "doing somethu g to someone repeatedly after you have been told to stop". Valerie has never asked Laki to stop, instead there's every indication that Val welcomes the attention and that it excites her.

Also, this is probably pretty telling.
>But when Herb is molested I don't get a nauseated sick feeling in my soul (probably because he's a guy?).
>>
>>1784617
It's telling of what??
>>
>>1784617
it's honest in the sense it is what they actually believe, which is the only sense of the word that means anything.

>>1784619
it doesn't reflect well on your personality.
>>
>>1784620
It's not like I hate men or think men can't get molested. It just doesn't make me feel as sick. Reading about something like forced Isis wives will make me feel sick the rest of the day and I can't stop thinking about it. If Isis husbands were a thing I'd still care, it just wouldn't consume. I don't think that says anything too horrible. I can just empathize will girls better
>>
>>1784623
I feel you, but it still reflects negatively on you, which was why cunt anon used it as a weapon; which was the question you asked.

same kind of shit he was accusing you of earlier funnily enough, but as I said he's a bit of a cunt.
>>
Hey I shed real tears with Jane dared to said nice things about people, real good stuff
>>
I don't get why yellow anon and new blue anon are being so overly aggressive and the fact that there's still so much passive and not so passive aggression from either of you doesn't fill me with joy.

Laki's fine, she's pervy and puts up a front but she knows when she's going too far.
Kiera's actions were done with naive intentions but were still "worse" than whatever Laki's done. She's also a nice character.
The only one who 'I' believe has any right for being deemed a "cunt" is Jane because even after all this time she is still scheming, thinks Herb has ulterior motives, and won't actually trust anyone. Sure she hasn't pushed anyone into the dirt in a while but she's still the most assholish.

Read the story dude and stop being so overly dramatic.
>>
>>1784704
Even with Jane, i think thats more of a front
>>
>>1784738
Oh undoubtedly. It's still even more abrasive than Laki and frankly after all this time it's at the very least become a very real part of her attitude. On a different topic, what Pokemon would you most want to use as a pillow? I've seen a number of anons say Arcanine and Altaria already. Sorbet and Gobble might work appreciably down the line, too, though the later would be more of a bed.

I'm willing to give Gulpin a shot, but I feel like Blitzle, Girafarig, or Miltank are all promising too. If it's a warm catnap in the sun and you don't need something warm blooded, an Ekans could be nice too.

Do you think any pokemon have vestigial organs? I would be surprised if Swalot could actually do anything with those nubby little fingers that attach directly to its chest.

Those could be semi-adhesive or stretchable. The cartoon might have more insights on that.

Whoooooo

Here we go!
>>
ohboyohboyohboyohboy
>>
You and Keira continue on in your spectral forms. It’s becoming less of an odd sensation, but more of a strain. Still, you’ve got a lot of steam left in your cooker.

Keira grabs a hold of your hand, guiding you through it. You find yourself doing the pushing while she does the steering. Eventually, you somehow make it to your destination.

Tabo’s main industrial center, before the accident. You don’t even know how long ago this was. But you can sense from Keira that it’s the right place.

“Now what?” You ask.

“I’m not sure.”

You float there, watching the astral projection of the inside of an empty factory, with nothing happening.

>Be patient. It’ll come if you wait
>Ask Keira what she’ll do when she finds out who caused the accident
>Try to use your energy to speed up time
>Look around, investigate

You sit, patiently. Keira, not having a better plan, joins you.

“What do you plan to do after?”

“Sleep, probably.” She answers. “please don’t make too much noise if you and Laki or Hana are going to mate.”

“No.” You’re too late to cut her off. You hide your embarrassment. “I meant, when you find out who caused it. What’s the plan for that?”

“Oh.” She ponders. “I don’t know. I hope that finding out the truth will at least settle the issue. I’ll tell everyone, and then maybe things might get worse for awhile, but then after that, it can heal. It's like...snipping off a dying branch of a plant. The plant becomes healthier after, even if it’s weakened for a time.”

You guess that makes sense.

The two of you continue to sit and wait. You’re not finding yourself growing impatient though. It’s a neat experience. And seeing at all this old timey industrial equipment as if it were new is a sight.

Suddenly, spectral figures appear. They start out ghostly, wisply. Like smoke. But they begin to form shapes you recognize, and then even fine details. There are two of them clearly some sort of workers.

“Hey man.” The mainlander high fives his Loanan friend. “Good work today.”

“Should that be my line? I’m your supervisor.”

The mainlander laughs. “Yeah. Congratulations on that by the way. Guess that means drinks are on you.”

They both laugh and joke around some more. They gather up some of their stuff, do a few things with some of the machines that you aren’t sure what the purpose is, and begin to leave.

“Wait up, did you disconnect the main supply?” The Loanan supervisor asks.

“I turned it off.”

“Not what I asked. It’s got to be disconnected, too, remember?”

“Why? What, are they afraid it’ll magically turn on by itself? The switch is under the hatch. Come on. It’s stupid.” The mainlander argues. “Just more stuff management makes up to look like they’re innovating or whatever.”

“Yeah. I guess you’re right. Let’s go.”

The two of them leave out the back door. As they do, you hear the thunk of the last industrial lights shutting off. Keira jumps a bit at that sound. There’s some residual laughter from them as they’ve already forgotten their work day and discuss some sort of sport event.

“So they both neglected it.” Keira says.

“Wait.” You tell her. “I think there’s more.”

And once again. The two of you continue to wait.

You sit, sometimes lost in thought, sometimes just looking around. Once or twice you think you catch something out of the corner of your eye. Like a small blur moving in the distance of the factory, or a figure outside one of the windows. Keira doesn’t seem to have noticed anything. Her aura seems a little weaker, though. It flickers on occasion.

>Just keep watching. This story isn’t done yet.

“What is it?” Keira asks, noticing you notice something.

“I don’t know.” You squint. “I...wait, let me try something.” You close your eyes and concentrate, summoning as much energy as you can. With great effort, you manage to create a stronger glow from your form.

You definitely see a figure move, as if reacting.

“Careful.” Keira tells you. Before you can ask why, another figure, or perhaps the same one, comes around a corner. You pause.

It moves rapidly forward, then stops. It’s small, maybe about the size of a football. As you watch it approach, your lit up aura illuminates it.

A pikachu! Or rather, the projection of a pikachu from a long time ago. It scurries forward again, sniffing around. Finally, it comes to a rest on the machine. You guess it must be warm, because the pokemon settles in looking very comfortable.

It adjusts itself, becoming less comfortable as the machine cools. Getting frustrated with the cold metal, it makes a noise and gives a tiny zap.

And a great and terrible rumbling starts. A gas valve flies off and starts spewing something. The pikachu runs off, scared.

“It was a pokemon!” Kiera says.

“You can’t really blame a pokemon.” You say.

“No, but, well, some people might see that as the islands will acting through the pokemon.”

“What do you believe?” You ask.

“I don’t think the islands would will something so destructive to itself. But...I don’t know.” Her voice is full of doubt. “There’s no satisfying answer here. Everyone will just interpret this to suit whatever they already believe.”

>She’s right. There’s no use it telling people
>Well, the Mainlander worker didn’t do what he was supposed to

Keira looks lost. “I thought we’d find closure. That we had this chance to see the truth for a reason.”

You stand silently for a moment before speaking. “It was just a freak accident with a pokemon. It doesn’t have to have a meaning. Just a series of unfortunate events ending in a big way.”

She doesn’t look comforted. “If there’s no purpose behind it, then what’s the point?”

A moving figure distracts your attention.

“Another pikachu?” You ask.

But Keira pulls you back. The figure comes forward, lashing out at you with a claw. It vanishes into a puff of smoke after it misses.

“What was that!”

“Angry spirit.” She tells you. “We need to find out bodies, or calm it. Or them.” Her eyes dash around, looking for others.

“Can’t we just stop being in spiritual form?”

“Maybe!” Her voice is stressed. “This is new to me too. Try it, and I’ll follow you if it works.”

You understand. She doesn’t want to leave you alone. But at the same time, you worry. What if you ‘pull the plug’ on yourself, for lack of a better term, but she’s unable to?

>No, we’ll stick together and find our bodies

“No, we’l stick together and find out bodies.” you tell her firmly.

She looks at you with frustration. There’s relief, fear, and concern, but frustration is the big one. “Herb. This is my speciality. You could get hurt. Didn’t you learn anything from seeing those two-”

“Look out!” Another spirit rushes forth, anger and confusion in it’s eyes. But instead of dodging or rushing off to find your bodies, you pulse out your aura. Your inner light. Your sense of self, energy, and protection. The spirit and it’s anger recoils off of it.

Keira looks bewildered for a moment. “Wait. Don’t hurt it.”

“I’m not trying to.” You tell her.

You keep the aura up, and it forms a protective bubble around you and Keira. She examines it, watches the spirit circle around without being able to come too close, and seems to approve, or at least accept it.

You’re both completely safe as you calmly go back to your bodies. You thought you’d have a problem finding them, but it’s easy. They seem to have wandered away from the camp, though. Like they were coming towards your spiritual forms. The thought of your body acting on it’s own deeply disturbs you, but you can’t do anything about it right now.

“What do we do?” You ask.

“This. I think.” She says as she floats her spiritual form inside her body.

Keira’s spirit and body seem to become one. Despite feeling like you’re invisible to everything else, she seems to be looking right at you.

“Come on. It’s fine.”

You do as she says and try it yourself. It works without a hitch. You don’t even know exactly when you go from spiritual to material, until you start to feel all the sensations a body feels. Tired, sore feet, a little sweaty, a little thirsty, and a little cold.

“That was, um, an experience.” You say, yawning. That took a lot out of you, whatever you just did.

“Guess you didn’t need that bone clip after all.” She says. “When did you get it?”

She knows about that? Polu asked you to keep it a secret. It made you uncomfortable, but you did it.

>Tell her about when Polu gave it to you

If Herb can bring a guest then Herb body swapping with Laki or Hana would certainly be one way to spice things up/abuse an artifact.

Plus, I'm pretty sure it was the weird aura crystals that caused the body swap episode last quest.

Or Herb could learn how to guide an aura mixing.

Dance lessons could be fun too though.

Are we running at all today/tomorrow?
>>
So, uh, are aura bubbles a new power now, or was that a one-time thing?

This episode has really driven home how far Herb has come in using his aura, but also how far he has to go. I'd like to see Herb experiment with his healing some more. He still needs to find out if his healing works on himself, and he still needs to find out if his potential unlocking works on humans/himself.

I'd like to see Herb try healing in reverse, sucking in someone else's aura in instead of pouring his out. Use it as a touch attack to drain opponents or reinvigorate/heal himself.

Can his sphere do anything other than shield him from spirits?

And how do you guys feel, and by extension how should Herb feel, about the banning of the normal temple?

Not only do I doubt that the normal temple didn't have any important duties to perform, but I also think it's fucked that Polu has to be punished for something his ancestors did. Collective punishment is the worst.

Question for Gobble: how does Herb's "fuel tank" of aura compare to Keira/a normal Lucario/other aura sensitive people?
>>
I don't think herb will be able to drain, it seems more based on characteristics. Herb is nurturing and protects when needing to, hence healing and a protective bubble.
Leeching would imply parasitic on some level.
( or maybe it's not like this and all the abilities are free game with practice )

Anyway, about that possession lewdbin

>>1789290
I'm sure personality has something to do with it, though to what degree I'm uncertain. Though if you wanted to, you could think of it as Herb eating someone's rage/turmoil, then quelling it within himself. I just think it'd be a useful trick if Herb ever needs to do healing that takes more fuel than his normal maximum. Plus I wanna see Herb overclocked, glowing with life energy, doing cool shit with all the energy lent to him spirit-bomb style from his friends.

And thinking about possession/body swapping...

Honestly, it'd be pretty useful in other contexts. Moving the mind of someone who is paralyzed/comatose into the body of someone who is brain dead would be pretty fucking amazing.

Transgender people could partner up.

Spy agencies would go nuts for that kind of thing.

It would have been nice to pull Murkrow out of her body while we were breaking her wing.

But none of those things apply to Herb right now. However...

Hana could get to swim again. Or feel the sand between her toes.

Also, there's the prospect of Laki and Herb (Hana's body) giving Hana (Herb's body) a double blowjob.

Or Herb having his first time with Laki (with Hana in there too) so he can have his first time with both of them.

Since all three of them seem to be switches, it'd be nice to see Herb (Laki's body) dominating Laki (Herb's body.)

This is all assuming that the time flower isn't going to be used up by all of this.

Actually, come to think of it, the time flower is kind of a huge invasion of privacy. Whoever has it can spy on anything anybody did at any time.

Gobble (Munchlax)
Mace (Roggenrola)
Belladonna (Roselia)
Dice (Croconaw)

“Oh. You noticed it, huh?”

She nods. “Yup.”

You feel a deep sense of discomfort. It’s not quite shame, because you were asked to keep a promise and you did, and you didn’t see the harm in keeping it, but at the same time you still felt the weight of keeping it from a close friend like Keira. You don’t quite feel that you did something wrong, just something you didn’t enjoy doing.

“I was asked to keep it a secret.” You begin.

“I figured.” She said. “You’ve been keeping things from me.”

“I...” you look inside yourself. “I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings, but I don’t think I did anything wrong. I don’t really know what this is, exactly but-”

“It’s Polu’s.” She says. “I could see it in his aura.”

You do your best not to show any signs that she’s right. She seems really confident in that assertion, though. “Regardless of who gave it to me,” your voice shakes as you try to find that middle ground between firm and not wanting to sound defensive, “I hope you’ll understand why I kept it a secret.”

Her face, hidden behind the makeup and darkness of the night, is especially difficult to read.

“I’m starting to.” She sounds, her own voice cracking now. “Herb. I’m,” she swallows, “I’m starting to have...”

You move in closer, not sure if you should be ready with a hug or something else.

She struggles against herself. “I’m starting to have doubts. Does my temple really make people feel the need to hide themselves? Why doesn’t all this heresy from your family or Polu seem so bad?” She’s wiping away a growing flood of tears. “Why are we so worried about other belief systems?”

You give her a big hug.

I would call you great, I've seen a great number of professional writers fall into narrative pitfalls and fuckups that you're clever enough to avoid or sidestep.

Also we should probably clarify to Keira at some point soon we never had any intention of ever using the boneclip; it was always my understanding we kept it because it was a gift.

caught up with this thread, their are some weird ass people talking about herb body swapping for sex into a girl's body ( which would kinda negate the purpose of the gender selection at the start of the quest) and other shit and i am just sat here wondering if they'll take their fetishes to some other part of the site
>>
>>1790282
I feel you anon, don't get me wrong I enjoy most of those fetishes quiet a bit but there is a place for them and it is called lewdbins; some talk is required obviously to set them up but anons have been pushing that line way too far in my opinion.
>>
You keep her held tight to your chest. She gets out a good long cry. Every time she sniffles and wipes a tear into your shirt you cringe a little and internally weep for your poor shirt, knowing that won’t get out, but you don’t mind. Serving as a rag for a friend in need makes it look a lot better to you anyway.

“I don’t think there’s anything wrong with people who have different opinions living together.”

“I don’t either, but some said that if that happens, Loanan culture will change. Outsiders will subvert it. I don’t want to make people hide their beliefs or go away, but I don’t want that to happen either. And what about things like the bone clip? Using that would be terrible! How do I tolerate that?”

“If it makes you feel any better, I just kept the bone clip because it was a gift. I never had any intention of using it.”

“I thought so.” She sniffles. “I just...we believe that you can cause serious harm with something like that. The spirits need to be guided to the afterlife as soon as possible, not scattered into a million lost pieces. It could take a spirit years to come back together, all the while confused and unable to form a coherent thought.”

You finger the clip. “Is that what I was doing with my aura?”

“Maybe. I don’t know. It repulsed the spirits before they got too close, but if they did I don’t know what would have happened.”

The two of you walk back towards the camp. Keira seems shell shocked and lost in thought. At least, you think so. You can’t see her face in the darkness.

“Do you want to see it?”

“See what?” You snap out of your own head.

“You know.” She has unusually coy body language now. She points to her face in the darkness. “it.”

well that even if it's a peroanl problem to me, there are people bringing their fetishes into a thread about questing which they know some people won't like, so if they can push for their fetish i can push against it, it would be like if suddenly people started talking about yaoi ,with polu after a gym battle, not everyone likes that fetish so when you starting bringing it up for no relevance it's gonna make some people just a tad uncomfortable.

Anon will turn anything into a sex thing, more at 11. Don't get all up in arms against an idea just because people spun it a certain way. Argue against the spin if you want, but dismissing the whole possibility is throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

it's fine to have even if i hate the fetish, but for the love of god don't start putting that stuff in a quest thread when is wasn't even asked for and you know that a lot of people wouldn't like the fetish, like i said it would be as bad as if someone brought up polu yaoi whilst nothing it had no relevance, these guys know a lot of people aren't into that fetish.

“I would, but another time.”

“Oh.” She looks down. “I didn’t mean to pressure you.”

“It’s not that. It’s just that you’re a little emotional right now.” She gives you that look Laki sometimes gives. “I mean that, uh, you ask when you’re down, not when you’re happy.”

She keeps her eyes glued to the ground. “It’s because you’re always the brightness when I feel sad. Besides, if you can just keep them away, you’re safe to see my face. I think we would have been swamped by spirits from using the time flower, now that we’re done it. But you just did so well that it doesn’t matter.”

You’re not sure how to feel about that. “Well, regardless, I’d like to save it for another time.” You tell her. “It’d be a big honor, and I’d like to do it at a time that’s more deserving.”

She laughs. “I don’t understand that reasoning, but okay. As long as you’re not mad.”

Man. You are toasted. It’ll be morning soon and you feel like you’ve been up running a marathon. Every step is like dragging a shoe made out of cement through a swamp of molasses. And it will be morning soon.

Keira covers her face when you arrive in the clearing with the moonlight. You catch a glimpse of her smeared paint and understand why. There’s not much left. “I think I’ll meditate. I won’t be able to get back to sleep.”

Mace is there too, not quite sleeping, but not quite doing anything. He does run up when you approach, though. You assure him that you’re fine.

“Hey Mace.” You sit on a rock near him. Maybe you’re tired, but you want to make a joke about if you’re sitting on a friend of his. You decide against it in case it’s in bad taste.

Mace nods subtly. But you can read him decently these days.

“Yeah. I’m safe. Sorry buddy. I didn’t mean to vanish like that.” You explain your journey with Keira. He seems oddly accepting of it.

“You’ve seen a lot. Haven’t you?”

He nods again.

“He says yes.” Keira yawns, eyes still close, meditating.

You figured. “So, what’s on your mind?”

He turns his head up to the night sky.

“What are stars like? He’s been around for a long time, and heard about them, but he doesn’t know.”

You guess he can’t see them. That’s touchingly sad.

How do you describe the stars?

“I’d like to hear your answer too.” Keira says. “I’ve heard that long ago, Mainlanders used them to navigate. But you’re not really a sailor.”

What do they mean to you?

You guess this questions goes deeper. It’s about what you see in things in life that hold no practical or material value to you. It’s easy to have an opinion of a food you like or colour you look good wearing. What about something so distant?

You stare up at them for a moment. “Stars are...just balls of burning gas, really far away. Well, maybe not strictly burning since there’s no air. Exploding might be a better word. Anyway. They’re just a bunch of bright stuff in the sky.”

Mace listens closely. So does Keira.

“But they unite everyone. We all live under them. It’s kind of funny, isn’t it?”

They both sit back, reflecting on what you said. You don’t really think you said anything particularly deep, you were just sort of thinking out loud, but they seemed to like it.

“That’s a nice thought.” Keira leans back. “No matter how we’re separated, if we look up, we’ll be looking at the same thing.”

Mace makes some noises.

“He says he likes that thought, even if he can’t see them. He used to think the same thing about the large mountain on his home island, until he left.”

“You mean, with me?”

He responds. Keira translates. “No. He’s found rides between them. He’s seen lots of different things. Pokemon come and go. Streams change slightly. But the more time goes on, the more things stay the same. Except for when he became your pokemon. It’s been a non stop blur of excitement. He can’t process it all, except that he feels unable to keep up sometimes.”

“I’m glad I can show you new things.” You say. “But I don’t think you’re too slow.”

“Maybe. But things seem faster now. It must be age.”

You get up for a moment, looking for your water bottle. After taking a sip and sitting back down, you look back to your old pokemon. “

“Hey, Mace. What do you think of me.”

“You’re a good boy, Herb.” Keira says for him. “But I worry. Idealists become the hardest of all when the world beats them down. They become the most vicious and ruthless. The most jaded.”

“Herb would never be like that.” Keira comes to your defense after translating. It’s a little comical the way she waited to translate for you in one tone before switching to the next.

You decide to change the subject. “Mace. You’ve seen a lot, but you never talk about what you’ve done.” You hope that’s a diplomatic way of broaching the subject. “What are some of the things you’ve done?”

The’s silent for a moment. “He’s done a lot. But when he was younger. He says he’s loved a girl, too, but it didn’t work out. He became less trusting, less wanting to be out there. He’s made friends, lost them, and became bitter about it too. Over time, he’s gotten over it. And he’s repeated it a few times. He learned to stay out of trouble, and out of the way.”

Huh. You aren’t sure how to feel about that either. Mace sounds like he hasn’t had much fun for a long time. You suppose that if he chooses that sort of life, that’s what he wants. You can understand it, too. Before you started your journey, you weren’t the most outgoing.

You yawn.

“I’m glad you chose to come with me.” You tell him. “And who knows, maybe someday you’ll be telling your great grandkids about what I was like.”

He says something to Keira. She giggles.

“What? What is it?”

“He says that the way things are going, you’ll have too many to keep track of.”

You blush and shrink. After they giggle some more, you think about one last question you have. “Is there anything you’d like to see again, or anything we should avoid?”

“Old friends.” Keira says for him. Her voice shifts slightly as she realizes what she’s translating. It takes you another moment to realize that that was his answer to both questions.

“Soft Hands!” Laki gives you a nice, soft hug from behind. You can feel the lack of a bra. “Were you up all night? And you too, Keira?”

“Yes! We had a journey with our bodies!” Keira answers.

Laki’s hug slowly tightens so hard that you can’t breath. “I’m sorry. I don’t think I heard that right.”

Keira explains about the happenings of the last night, just in time for Hana and Abigail to awaken. The pokemon are all getting up now too. The camp has come to life.

Hana fetches a coffee cup for you, and Laki arranges for a Worry Seed with Bella.

You thank them for it and get breakfast started. Woo. That put some pep in your step.

Abigail is still sleeping. You’re not sure how long she plans on staying with you guys. She just sort of came along to see how things end up with the Murkrow.

Speaking of, you see them both hopping up to inspect your sizzling breakfast. You want to treat these two to some, but you worry that would undermine the training with having them gather their own food to be independent.

“Well, I’ll cook up whatever you guys bring me.” You tell them. “Here’s a small treat to keep your energy up.” you give them a tiny taste of what you have. It’s not filling, but you like how enthusiastic they get over it.

They look at each other. Curiosity seems to percolate in their minds before the set off. You have no doubt they won’t take long.

You enjoy breakfast, feeling the new energy from the coffee. It still tastes awful, but it works. You’re zooming through meal prep. Laki and Hana are both eager to get on with the day. Laki though, keeps looking out for the Murkrow.

“What’s the plan for today?” Hana asks.

Keira’s still lost in thought, thinking about the events of last night. You didn’t really mention what you saw. You guess she hasn’t either.

“You guys going to hit up the gym?” Abigail says, helping herself to some of your food without asking. “You don’t look like the battling types.”

“What does that mean?” Laki finally takes her eyes off the skies.

“I’m just saying. There are different types of journeyers. The battlers, the contest people, the explorers, the party kids. That’s not saying you can’t be good battlers. But the battler types get all ramped up for a gym. You guys are too mellow for that.”

“So what are we then?” Laki asks, less offended.

“Unique?” Abigail says. “This has been a fun bunch of stuff to watch.”

“There’s always the temple.” Keira says. She seems to be pretty perky about that. You’re surprised, given what happened last night and what she said, but you remember her fondess for the grass temple in general.

Of course, you could just take the day to have a long-awaited date with one or both of the girls. Some private time.

Laki looks a little perked up too. “I’ll be expected to dress up, huh? I guess I don’t have a choice, then.”

“So, dates with them and then dinner at my place?” Abigail says.

Oh right. You almost forgot. “Umm, yeah.”

“Sounds like a great date night.” Laki says. Except you’re struck by the lack of sarcasm. She seems like she’s really looking forward to it. She grabs your butt to your shock. “I can’t wait to meet your parents.”

Abigail gives Laki the stink eye, until Bella walks up and makes some noise. She looks down at your cute grass type pokemon and softens, then laughs. “Okay. I’ll be nice to you and your trainer.”

“Actually, Herb is her trainer.” Hana corrects.

“Huh.” Abigail says. "Guess that's why she's so cute."

Hana puts a hand on Laki's shoulder to stop her before she even does anything.

Bella turns back towards you. You think she’s going to ask to be first, but instead, she goes and grabs Sorbet, dragging her out in front.

“You want Sorbet to train first?”

Bella nods. She seems to want to see what Sorbet has to offer.

“You know.” Abigail says. “You and this Sorbet here could battle me and Conqueror. After seeing the way you handle wild pokemon, I’m curious to see if you can handle the heat of battle.”

>Sure, if you’re up for it, Sorbet
>You’d love a battle, but with a different pokemon
>Thanks, but no thanks. You need regular training
>Wait, you had a different idea for the date plans
>Something else

>Besides, if you can just keep them away, you’re safe to see my face. I think we would have been swamped by spirits from using the time flower, now that we’re done it. But you just did so well that it doesn’t matter.”

This is old, but 'm having a hard time understanding what Keira said here, I think there's a butt in the second sentence. Is she saying it'd be okay to see her face if we were in our bubble?
>>

>Sure, if you’re up for it, Sorbet
>>
>>1792018
I think she's relieved that even if we see her face, there won't be any evil spirits using us as a channel or something to strike out at her. We have the power to prevent that. Iunno.

>>1792008
Conqueror, huh?
>Sure, if you’re up for it, Sorbet
>>
>>1792008
>>Thanks, but no thanks. You need regular training
Putting Sorbet into a fight before we have given her any training at all seems a little too reckless for Herb.

Thanks for running Gobble, when can we expect next thread?
>>
>>1792008
>Sure, if you’re up for it, Sorbet

Wasn't Laki going to battle us? Remember?
>>
>>1792008
I changed my mind. Turn this >>1792029 into this >>1792026 please.
>>
>>1792008
>Sure, if you’re up for it, Sorbet
>>
>>1792018
[Ah sorry. She's saying that Herb seems capable of keeping himself and others around him safe from spirits. Since a major reason she keeps her face a secret is to avoid spirits shenanigans, it's safer than showing her face to a normal person. She's happy he's safe, but also almost dejected at how trivial it seems for him. The inferiority complex is growing]

>>1792029
[Thanks. I'm hoping to have Laki be even less impressed with Abigail horning in on that.]
>>
>>1792066
Hey Gobble, what is you opinion on freaky-Friday lewdbins?
>>
>>1792066
Gobble I wanna say I love Keria. Kinda hope we can help her through all her issues
>>
>>1792074
[I'm okay with it in principle but don't see a way of it working into the quest]

>>1792078
[I'm glad. She's been on a constant trip of eye opening experiences, and starting to feel like she doesn't really know her islands all that much after all. Or her duties and role.

But she knows Herb and her Pokemon]
>>
>>1792133
I'm going to bed, Gobble. Thanks for running and have a good night!
>>
>>1792133
>don't see a way of it working into the quest

Hana's a clever, kinky girl. That time flower can do a lot. If she ever borrowed Herb's body to go on a swim...

Either way, night Gobble!
>>
> sure if sorbet up for it
If she isn't, battle using bella or gobble and train sorbet afterwards using lessons and examples from the battle

I love your characters, kieras growing on me with more development, we should do stuff to help stop the inferiority complex esrly
>>
>>1792133
>don't see a way of it working into the quest
really? It seems pretty easy to work in to me, Herb has aura powers and has confirmed been able to pull himself out of his body. It was worked into last quest and while aura powers were a thing they had a much more minor role.

But to be clear that kind of thing doesn't interest me that much personally.
>>
I want hana to swim, laki/ hana to experience having a dick.

Also herb being sub in lakis body, naked in an apron cooking

How can we restore kieras self confidence? We should aura mix again abd learn what she thinks of herb after all of this. Whar is Jane planning? Will val ever get development? How big is polus penis Bd does he low key want herbs dick? Will Abigail be a new companion or just part of this island?
>>
>>1792066
I kind of want Keira's inferiority complex to grow until she becomes a rival, as much as I like her.
>>
>>1792245
She's not really a trainer, so rival, not so much.

If Herb keeps on completely invalidating her presence by accident I can see her ending up with a hell of a bitter streak though. What happens when she finds out that a literal god of the islands talked to him?
>>
>>1792274
>Keira slowly becomes bitter and starts acting more distantly
>Herb tries his best to make her happier
>Keira finds out that GOD(™) talked to him very early in the journey
>Snaps at Herb
>Herb breaks down, he knew how Keira was feeling and didn't want to make it worse, but he can't help what has been happening to him, and he doesn't know what else he can do.
>Laki was right.

I do not want this, this is pain.

when you get a good pair of running shoes
>>
>>1792570
Hey, Gobble. If you have an idea for when you can run next please shoot us a line here or post it up on twitter. I don't think you mentioned when you might be able to run next. Anyways, Thanks!
>>
>>1792570
I even asked last night and you didn't answer, saying you don't know when you can run next is a perfectly valid answer Gobble; though maybe not the preferred one.
