The present situation:
After the Serene Celestials of Zhongian called for a ceasefire in hostilities on Setyrias, a diplomatic conference was called for, held in the Dragon monastery of Xidasi. There we learned of the war going on in the western continent, on Ranelirda - where the Felinkot nations have united and invaded the Avorei Empire. Caliph Alzum Zabriz is-Zmeak, the leader of the Rhoznaxi Empire, revealed himself to be the Elemental God Dark incarnate - the last one of the Old Gods still alive and uncorrupted by the Vast. The same Vast Ones who have corrupted the other seven Old Gods are on the move now, their mortal followers having freed a number of them from their prisons - some even obtaining the bodies of titans to act as physical vessels for their power. The aim of the war in the west is for the Felinkot - worshippers of the Vast, who they believe are the true Old Gods - to free Light, whose corrupted soul is imprisoned in the Holy Mountain at the center of the Avorei Empire.

In addition, the Caliph outed our Empress, Wave Petros, as being a servant of the Vast - a claim backed up by a number of Roggarian lords and an elvish Magus claiming to speak for the Pantheonic Gods. The Empress, who was present at the conference, let herself be apprehended so she may be put on trial in the Holy Pantheonic Empire.

On the 26th of Jurias, while ceasefire talks were underway in Xidasi, King Charlion Ezgielan and General Claudius Vance's forces engaged the army of Demonlord Charron.
It began a few days earlier with Claudius suggesting the plan to the King as both were staying in Petrek - to strike while the iron is hot and retake the Red Orc Valley, something that may give Roggar more leverage on the negotiating table - King Charlion decided to lure Charron into being the one to attack - sending a colourfully-worded letter to the demonlord, challenging him to face Charlion east of Miturah with a thousand men on his side on the 26th.
King Charlion did appear at the appointed time, on the appointed location - with a thousand of his own men. Charron did the same with one difference - he brought thirty thousand.
Charlion, having acted fully expecting this, had already positioned armies in Miturah and Jyotsna - retreating towards the ruined fortress, he recieved reinforcements led by General Claudius Vance of the Trusted Councilors. In a series of battles and small engagements that were fought as the Pantheonic army retreated towards Miturah, General Vance was able to hold the enemy off long enough for King Charlion to return with new reinforcements and turn the tide against the demon army.
While the final battle was being fought, General Vance saw Charron on the battlefield and engaged him in a one-on-one fight - with the demonlord crushing the young Roggarian. Vance's younger sister, Valeria, arrived to help him, but even the two together could not finish Charron off as he unleashed a powerful fiery explosion that killed both Vances and dozens of people around them that were still fighting.
Charron survived the explosion he'd caused - while some warriors tried to take him down, with his full power unleashed he was able to repel them and fly away from the battle. His army was gradually beaten back, those who weren't killed or captured retreating to the pass of Aeldabad as their only option - dwarvish forces having entered the red orc valley from the north, by way of Jyotsna, while the battle was taking place.
What the liberators of the valley found were devastated towns and villages, salted fields and tens of thousands of people slaughtered. The Valley of Vance's Folly would once again keep true to the name - the two Vances had perished, with not even their bones remaining - the only thing left from Claudius and Valeria were some bloodsteel shards from the blade of the Vance family's ancestral blade, Thunderclap.

Currently Pantheonic forces - with the Shahdom of Petrekshan among them - have retaken the Valley, though parts of the enemy army that had taken it managed to get away south.

The Paitran King praised Claudius and Valeria Vance for their courage and valour in the face of great danger, saying that without them victory would have been nigh impossible. He has sent the ashes of the two heroes and what could be found from the sword back to their family.

Diplomacy
We struck a truce with Zhongian, agreeing to pull our armies out and end hostilities with them. In Zhongian, the political situation now is focused on General Tso's rebellion and his attempt to put Prince Zheng Kai, a cousin of the current Empress, on the throne.
Empress Wave Petros is being transported to the Imperial Capital at present, her trial will be this month or the next one.
Firstly, we will turn our attention to negotiations with Rhoznax - overall we hold the advantage in the war against them on Setyrias, having taken nearly half the Badlands and almost all of the central mountain range, with Petrekshan declaring itself free of Rhoznax.
On Hajatas, though, our allied Kingdom of Kamborash has lost its central government and most of its territory to the Anavarkists.

Make proposals for a peace arrangement with the Caliphate.

The Holy Pantheonic Empire will agree to a cease in all hostilities with the Caliphate with some simple territorial gains culling their power over central Setyrias.

They will be given gains in Hajatas due to their general defeat of Kamborash but we will not allow the states destruction.

On top of this all prisoners and slaves will be released on both sides on all fronts.

"Woah there! This deal can be a lot bigger! And better! I make the best deals!

No need to take land from the Zhong, they are our friends! I have lots of friends there you know! Great people!
We shall also demand a suitable YUGE amount of gold for the damages inflicted upon us by the Remnant Dawn terrorists. The Caliph think he can let his minions do stuff like that to us, think again folks!
Also, Charron violated the ceasefire, his head must be handed over on a plate for the sake of honor."

In consideration with our proposals, Rhoznax has sent us the following offer:
Petrekshan is released, the Valley of Karhan(as it is locally known) is given to Roggar, The Shields and some land in the Badlands will be given to Lursar; Northern Kamborash(the areas still largely populated by Sauri) will be given to Rhoznax, along with some land on its eastern end.
All slaves and prisoners will be exchanged; Rhoznax will provide the HPE with 700 Million Marks' worth of gold, silver, gems and precious goods, of whom half will go directly to Roggar.

According to the Rhoznaxi, Charron has left their service, his present location being unknown - a bounty of several million Dinars has already been put on his head.

We've reached an agreement with the Rhoznaxi Caliphate.
The next matter of business is the trial of Empress Wave Petros.
On the 28th of Charodis, Wave is brought to the Imperial Capital, where she is put in a prison tower under guard.
The trial will hopefully be able to begin in the following month of Zemis.

Who will you send to this trial?
You may give propositions about how it should go, who should be the judge or judges and so on.
>>
>>1796080
Grandholder Marcus will angrily go alone with his son.

Also there should be more than 1 judge.
>>
>>1796080
The Duke himself shall attend. The Judges should be King Charlion, The High Priest of Juras and the High Priest of Mor.
>>
>>1796085
>go alone with his son

with his son
not alone
>>
>>1796080
Beldrick, Richard and myself will attend the trial.

I say honorable king Charlion, The anglanorse king, The elven king, the halfling king and the dwarven king should judge. Charlion being head judge
>>
>>1796080
Trusted Councilor Drunf, Vice Councilor Pen-ce and Grandmaster Thravan of the Knights of Juras shall all attend.
They will be attended by a suitably huge and flashy entourage of knights, councilors (amogst then Chen Chao), servants and maids.
>>
>>1796080
Cemal of Everpeak will be going to this event, front row seats my dude.

How's about...The High Pontiff, the Pontiff of Dragons Tomb, and the Master of Laws?
>>
>>1796080
Lord Hawthorne shall attend, along with the wife of Jac Dorsi, and all the children in his care. Darren, head of the school, will also be in attendance. A shadowy figure with a cloak that has the letter K emblazoned on it shall also attend, because why not.
>>
>>1796080
Zalian shall attend
>>
>>1796080
Samuel Hyde shall witness the great shame that the Empress has laid upon the nation. He shall also bring Sir Biggaxamann with him.

9th of Zemis - many people have already assembled in the Imperial Capital. Negotiations have started, judges are being considered.
In the evening, the guards of the Empress' prison tower report she is not in her cell.
The city is scoured, but Wave is nowhere to be found. One of the walls of her tower, upon inspection, appears to have been tampered with - one small section being thinner than the rest.
No guards report having seen the Empress escape - all guards across the city are present, no casualties or missing members.
What should be done?
>>
>>1796080
Vraum, the most influential general of the Gunnarson clan, shall attend the trial in all his might and splendour.
>>
>>1796193
An innocent person does not flee! The Empress is should be declared guilty and a heretic!
She should have the Imperial crown taken from her and her name struck from history and uttered only as a curse!

>>
I strongly reccomend that all the disgraced Empress' staff at her former residence are arrested and interrogated for heresy. The Palace and all known places of her residence shall also be immediately searched.
Along with this all her financial assets shall be seized and let it be known to every common man that the former Empress was heretical vast worshiper who's statues shall be defaced.
Are we in agreement my fellow lords?

Riots were about to start when people learned that the Rog'gora would not be held - but the timely switching of a key endorsement meant it would be after all!
The two fighters must present themselves. You will fight with equipment provided to you by the Royal Armor - blunted weapons and armor of your choice, with no magic on any of them and only mundane materials used.
State what your equipment is and what magic you have at your disposal and announce your readiness to fight - the Rog'gora is to be held on the 15th of Zemis.

Another fire bolt hits Calian, who is now writhing in pain on the ground, trying to roll around to extinguish the fire.
The referees are considering calling for the fight to end, but Calian is still resisting. Chaos erupts in an area of the Gladiatorum as people rush to get out of the way of a great beast running through - a lion, one that finds a gate that is (For some unknown reaoson) open - he charges in past Lothran, who throws himself on the ground to get away. The lion pushes the chairs away from Calian and with his paws extinguishes the flames engulfing the man.
For a moment, Calian looks up to see a familiar beast's face. Its jaw. The sharp teeth.

Calian screamed.
Before the guards could rush in, the lion had torn off Calian's face, ending the contender's life. He then ran off, back through the gate he'd come from. All the nature mages around were unable to exert control over the beast. How such a thing was possible, none could tell.

Prepare a meeting amongst all the pantheonic nations to discuss the new emperor and what must be done in Ranelirda

>>
A tragedy took place not long after the 26th of Jurias in the year 814.
Lady Ceria Vance, the beloved and highly pregnant wife of the late Claudius Vance, passed away. According to the family, the source was a broken heart and losing the will to live.
Her body was cremated and her urn was placed alongside the one of her darling husband in the family crypt, sharing a resting place with the other heroes of the Vance family.

With three dead in such a short time, a grand funeral is held for Claudius, Ceria and Valeria at once. In addition, the shards of Thunderclap are at last returned to the resting place of Claudette Vance, after nearly a century of separation.
The aged Count Vance and his young wife Shontae, both deep in mourning, taking care to make sure the funeral is suitably splendid and properly proper, all the noble guests and dignitaries cared for and feted in style.

Roggar will devote the funds it got as reparations to rebuilding Bullcoast, which has been split as follows - Castil to the Divatans, Evocaria to the Students, Charlestead and the region around it and down the coast to Swift-Hands, Lakefound to the Rangers and the rest(central area) to the War Council, with the town of Stahldorf being built over the ruins of Iron Hall. Charlestead's ruins will be cleared to make way for the town of Bryguarda's Rest. Ferbarg is given to the Lord of the Northern Isles.
The Valley of the red orcs has been given to the Trusted Councilors - around a hundred thousand orcs are left to rebuild their homes, with financial backing from the Crown.

Imperial Priests convened in the Capital and determined that the Emperor would be decided by chance - and that chance, blessed be Batahl, picked Maldam Kragnan II, King of Kragnaal - an intelligent, hard-working and well educated man, who worked as Imperial Scribe under the last Empress. However, rumors exist about his night-time activities that have been known to leave women unassociated with the court in poor physical condition.

With the war on Setyrias over for the time being, peace has set in and the spoils of war are being distributed to the victors.
The Kingdom of Paitras contributed plenty, yet has gotten no gains from the war - geographically, it would be difficult for them to gain any from Rhoznax. With Paitras being the furthest away from the colonizable shores, the Kingdom has no viable way of expanding, in contrast to all other members of the Holy Pantheonic Empire it created.
The Duchess of Gregariapol, Helene Chaezzar, is a young, unwed woman - and the last remaining descendant of the line of nobles that Roggar helped overthrow the previous rulers of Gregariapol centuries ago. While Gregariapol has been part of our Kingdom for centuries - and, in total, for longer than it has been part of Paitras - its culture and people are overwhelmingly Paitran, they trade with Paitras and they live like Paitrans. The region has seen almost no attention from the Roggarian Crown.

Citing these factors and the contributions that Paitras gave during the war - such as turning Petrekshan into an allied nation with minimal casualties - King Charlion Ezgielan has formally proposed that Roggar transfer Gregariapol to Paitras, offering to give the reparations that Paitras earned from the war(100 Million Marks) to Roggar along with military technology and expertise and reaffirmation of the continued friendship and cooperation between our nations.

We've agreed to the offer - Charlion has given us twice the amount he promised in gold, has shared schematics for cannons and muskets and has sent military experts to share the newly devised combined-arms tactics that the Paitran Royal Army have been developing. His marriage to Duchess Chaezzar is held after the turn of the year.
After Wave Petros forfeited power with the accusations laying on her, many common people in the Empire felt that this was the work of conspiring nobles hungry for power, but the unrest in those parts of the population has calmed down after Trusted Councilor Drunf's NSA investigations into Wave's charity organisations revealed that they were linked to her personal spies and Shadow Guard, secret trade deals with Aeldabadi merchants and an Empire-wide network of Vast Worshippers loyal to the Empress - the new Emperor is conducting investigations into the entire Imperial Bureaucracy now.

The Present situation on Ranelirda - the Avori armies have suffered a series of defeats during summer and autumn - the Kingdom of Safolok is almost entirely lost and the Felinkot have almost reached the foot of the Holy Mountain itself, which is what the Avori are focusing their foremost on defending.
The Sauri Kingdom of Ortimox also appears to be allied with the Felinkot as it has invaded from the south.

You may give proposals on how to go about this matter.

Forgot picture, here it is.

There's one more thing that concerns everyone:
Mini faction-projects - what your faction did in the years 810-815. Given that it's half the time for usual projects and half of that was during the war, the scope of what you can possibly get done is smaller - so consider using this for a smaller project of yours!
That's all from me for today, hopefully I can host tomorrow as well.

That is, outside a few extraordinary individuals, who people may know of. Speaking of, our plan is to create a small temple to Kovag on Eigersil, to help the dwarves there and act as part 1 of a further expansion to the school - this along with a new wing known as the Persephone wing where students may learn more about the natural sciences key to the island (like geology) along with the history of the isles and their inhabitants. That includes the heretical ones, highlighting their flaws, even Persephone. She would have wanted it that way.

You had...setbacks. Casualties were inevitable in the process, but these were more than expected - and progress hasn't been what you'd hoped for. Some of the Golemancers vanished without a trace one day - and a few months later, in early 815, rumours had started spreading even beyond Greskulm of the Winter Elves experimenting with a new type of golem - according to some, a golem that is powered by sacrificed sentients; according to others, it is a golem with its own mind;

Their conditions for helping us in this war are that we recognize them as rightful owners of all the islands that they currently occupy. The Aurileni Dominion refuses to them so far as they will not recognize a heathen demon as ruler of an elvish Dominion.
The Akeshizu occupied several Roggarian colonies that were ruled by the Whitevaynes during the crackdown on the Duchy of Eternia - they paid us gold and turned over all members of the Whitevayne family as we requested at the time.
If we accept, we will relinquish our claim on those islands and recognize the Akeshizu Empire as rightful ruler of the Maesren. The Kingdom of Selaven still exists as a vassal state of the Empire and Pantheonites within the Empire are free to worship the Gods.

Through storms and monster attacks, our fleet manages to reach the goblin colonies on the 8th of Domnis, 815.
This wave of reinforcements we've sent is currently comprised of:
20 galleons(11 damaged)
6 caravels(1 damaged)
1 superboat(damaged)

30 thousand proffesionals
16 thousand Gobbopolian troops
And several thousand faction troops

During the sea engagement, Ser Marsher Swift-Hands was onboard the superboat when a massive beast attacked it - its great tentacle threatening to cause irreperable damage to the hull. The Goblin Knight hurled himself at the beast, slashing and stabbing, managing to cut off the tentacle and set the ship free, but a second tentacle grabbed the knight - he kept struggling and fighting the beast, buying the Superboat time to distance itself, but Sir Marsher was violently thrown into the water, after which he did not emerge again.

The present state of the colony is dire - only around four thousand defenders were left before the arrival of reinforcements, protecting the fortified towns in its northeastern areas, those closest to the city of Ferhom.

The Anglanorse landed in Buhowlos and the Ondalians - in Dahuntok. Their fleets encountered fewer problems. The Paitran fleets have reached Donnovril now and will head for the Avorei Empire.
The Caliphate has begun its own invasion on Ortimox, securing landing areas and beginning their advance into that Sauri Kingdom.

The Ranelirda campaign has now begun.

Based on the information we've gathered, the northern horde of Tornmok numbers close to seventy thousand armed tribals - in their ranks there are both avori and felinkot mostly, but also smaller numbers from other races. They have ravaged the southern areas of these colonies, taking many captives - which they seem to prefer over simply killing them.
Our equipment is superior to that of the enemy - but compared to what was said of them a few years ago, they have advanced greatly in both inventory and tactics employed compared to the old days of raids.

Our infantry taks stronger, tighter formations - through them we are able to resist the charge of the chaotic felinkot hordes, but those are just a diversion - the enemy's mages cast great spells, primarily of earth, that target our clustered forces - killing a fair amount of their own in the process of opening these earthen chasms, yet still - the enemy's fanatical devotion means they will gladly throw themselves at us.

The battle was a decisive loss for our side - our formations being swarmed as they moved slowly caused many to panic and start running. Many of the casualties we suffered during this battle were while retreating - bringing shame to our Roggarian ancestors, known for being masters of the tactical withdraw.
Eventually the army made its way back to friendly, fortified positions - battererd and bruised.
Of the sixty thousand that marched south, thirty eight thousand made it north - half of them wounded. The enemy took many prisoners - those who could not run away, but did not fight to the death.
Our first battle against the Felinkot has been bad for morale and prestige.
On the other fronts, what we know:
The Tribes have been pushing hard against Buhowlos as well - it is said that the Earth Titan himself led the attack that shattered the owlmen's front and pushed them back.
The Corvonni have been holding their positions in the swamps and forests, keeping the enemy at bay.
The Orlaegi have repelled one major attack on the Holy Mountain.

Currently, we've taken up positions in and around Gobbotopia, the largest colonial city in the area. The Aurileni managed to secure a victory on their front and are sending us another twenty thousand fresh troops - the Paitrans will also be landing their army here.
The Caliphate's advance has been slowed down as their forces have entered the jungles of Ortimox, the locals engaging them in guerilla warfare.

A second wave of reinforcements from Roggar is up to you to decide - as is your strategy.
Elvish reinforcements will arive in a week or so, Paitrans - in two weeks.

Today, Marcus the Vth was found dead, a new Grandholder has been chosen. Long live Grandholder Gabrius!

When Grandholder Marcus the Vth died, he had chosen his son Marcus the Vith to become Grandholder to the general and anticipated discontent of the Archivists who had been ousted of the decision of the grandholder in latter years. Rather than taking a place at his father's seat he instead let his best friend, Georgius. Marcus Latter pledged that he would continue the Marcus line has a champion family of the Archive. Father and son, training endlessly to perfect their role as guard commanders and lords of the land owned by the Archive.

Georgius grew up in Charlestead where he spent most of his life there as a smith's aprentice. There he learned to wield a hammer. His smith's life was interrupted by the siege of Charlestead where he was hurt by a stray firebolt. Even with his injuries he managed to desert the army and flee. He wandered the bullcoast even though he was aware of the lack of the general safety of the area at that time. One day he had stumbled upon a battle of ungodly allures, the battle of the Iron hall. There he was spotted and brought to the Archive by a 17 year old Marcus the VIth. He spent most of his youth there as a student where he learned phylosophy and medecine. He was promoted to combat medic at the last months of the war but never reached the frontline. He was elevated to the level of Grandholder when Marcus the VIth gave the title to him, thus restoring the meritocracy present in the Archive.

Joyous and tragic news from the Duchy of the Trusted.

The noble house of Vance, considered threatened by extinction by the death of both the future heir, his sister and his pregnant wife, is once more safe.
The indomitable virility of the old count and the fertility of youth from the young countess at last resulted in the Pantheon blessing them with a new heir, a healthy baby boy given the name Cailean Vance.
While this was cause for much celebration, tragedy soon enough struck the household once more. Barely a month after the delivery of the child, the aged count was found dead in his bed. The cause found to have been something as mundane as the common cold, the result of a young maidservant forgetting to close the windows one evening.

Countess Shontae Vance, now lord of the household, had the irresponsible maid flogged and exiled, mercifully sparing her life despite her irresponsibility having claimed the life of her husband.
This was followed by an extraordinarily lavish funeral for her beloved husband, the young countess swearing to humbly and dutifully managing the land now belonging to her dear baby boy, ruling in his name until he reaches an age suitable for assuming the responsibilities of rulership himself.

A.A visit to Hajatas - with the wars there having subsided there could be a lot for us to do, see or learn on the southern continent. Word is that the orcs have split into a number of factions vying for control over the remaining territory of Kamborash, while others believe there may be things to learn even beyond;
B.A visit to Akeshizu - it has been long since one has been conducted and the world's youngest Empire may hold things of interest for us to see
C.Zhongian - word from that Empire is that General Tso is marching on the capital, looking ot face the Empress in open battle to put her human relative, Zheng Kai, on the throne. The August Celestials have not openly taken a side as far as we know
D.Journey to the Holy Mountain of Light - the main goal of this phase of the war, the Holy Mountain is where all eyes seem to be pointed, with ever increasing numbers of forces being deployed on both sides - the Felinkot seeking to oust the Avori and release the Vast God of Light

Kamborash it is - the orcs have four major port cities - which should we sail to first?
A.Arboria, on their eastern coast - closest to the capital, Kambor
B.Maktog, on their northwestern coast - near the large river region, further away from the capital
C.Vozgid, on their western coast - in the area between the two rivers and west of the central mountains. Not too far from the capital
D.Uzhnor - the orcs' southwesternmost major harbor, at a river estuary - south of its region is the beginning of the desert

The journey by ship is smooth, facing no trouble under or over water. You travel on three merchant carracks, recently hired for crown service, outfitted with cannons and filled with supplies. On the way south you make a few brief stops to rest and resupply, with no ill befalling anyone other than the occasional minor sickness that is promptly treated.
Elsewhere other things are happening that you won't be aware of - after this sequence is over, we'll get to them.

You arrive in Arboria on the 25th of Ezdarin, 815. It's a rather odd-looking place - there are ships coming in the harbor, plenty of fishing boats around. It is a large city, with the stone walls that protect the inner areas having been repaired - but you can see that the city's outer slums are in poor condition. Small fortifications have been erected near the harbor, with cannons pointed at the sea and there are guards patrolling the stone walls.
You are able to dock, being recognized as guests that come in peace. From the closest figure of authority you learn that the person in charge here is Gatob Kirzar, the heir to the Kambori throne himself, who can be found in a castle in "The former Eternian quarter"

A round of freeroaming for everyone.
The inner city(in good condition, protected by the stone walls) has a market district, a "Former eternian district" and the harbor district.
The outer city(outside the stone walls) has a number of poor housing areas primarily, with a fair amount of ruined building. The major roads that lead into the city are protected at several checkpoints by guards, which allows travellers to enter relatively unmolested, but beyond those guard checkpoints you are told that you're on your own.

Arboria is an interesting place at the moment - its harbor welcomes trading ships from everywhere with minimal docking fees placed. As a result, many merchants are starting to take an interest in the city as a place where they can peddle their wares - you see merchants from one part of the Caliphate trading with colleagues from another at the local market.
You manage to find interested clients who buy some of your wares. The market here is ever changing and it is hard to determine what exactly is being sought out. In the outer slums the people are short on almost everything, but those within the walls are doing surprisingly well for a people whose city was besieged not too long ago.
>>1826914
Marcus buys a gorgeous, well-bred swiftscale, with scales of green and gold, powerful legs and a mild manner - a beast he bought for a decent price, he soon found himself being given offers from other merchants who wish to purchase it, some for over twice the amount he'd spent!

The capital is held by the forces that were loyal to Arthur Whitevayne - with his fleeing the country, one of his lackeys is said to have assumed control.
The various factions that control areas of Kamborash are competing for power - the one who seizes the capital may be able to obtain legitimacy and convince the others to join them, but it will be hard to say.
There is word of numerous goblin revolts across the realm as well, with some of them being successful in securing territory.
>>1826918
The halfling spent all of his money on a pouch of cinnamon - the last that a lizan merchant had to sell. Councilor Zhou spends a pleasant noon in the market, shade provided by canopies. It is a busy place that is well guarded by the orcs, allowing for the merchants and customers to rest assured that their business can be conducted safely. Practically everything can be found for sale here if there's someone who wants to get rid of a posession, there'll be someone who wants to buy it. Zhou has a wide array of foods, drinks, spices, jewelry, slaves, animals, trinkets, arms and armor before his eyes, begging to be bought.

You head to the castle - the guards there already know of you, apparently - you wait for a bit in the atrium, a place decorated in old Paitran fashion with marble statues, gardens and fountains, before you are invited to sit down and eat with the ruler.
Prince Gatob Kirzar is a big fellow, well fed - his belly indicating that he's perhaps too well fed. To describe him as ugly would likely be a compliment were he anyone else - nature didn't gift him with a pretty face and life made sure he wouldn't get one later. You'd think he were a man in his 40s, though he is in fact only thirty years of age. He wears clothes of fine silk and plenty of shiny jewelry.
Extending a meaty, open hand towards your group in general, he speaks:
"Come and sit down, my noble visitors - you've surely been enjoying your time in my city, haven't you?"
Servants - mostly human women as far as you see - are bringing food and drinks, while guards stand around patiently.

>>

"Greetings my lore, we are of the Divatan order, we will likely not stay very long, however I would like to wish you luck in your quest to acquire the Throne and unite Kamborash."
>>
Happy with the pleasantries and compliments, Gatob has even more food and drink brought in, himself partaking merrily.
"You seem like good people, so I will tell you what the situation in Kamborash is now.
Our armies fought hard and well during the war and we resisted the Caliphate at every step when things started turning in their favour - it was largely because of that Dark Titan of theirs. We did our best - we were pushed to defending the capital itself, week after week of assaults being repelled - all was going well before the Eternians turned on us. Some say it was an assassin that killed my father, others say it was the vampire Arthur Whitevayne himself - either way, the result was the same. The enemy broke through the gates, our forces routed and leaderless. I led many survivors out of the city and into safety, continuing the resistance against the invaders for a year until that peace was struck and the lizards withdrew into their new borders - just when I'd retaken Arboria with my men!
They said they'd left, but it was Arthur and his lackeys that still held Kambor even after the Caliphate's forces pulled out. Apparently he fled after the Caliph called for him to be taken as a prisoner - now the one who holds the capital region is an orc by the name of Kardzhad Pryvam, an old, rich landowner from that area who cooperated with the invaders. They say he became a vampire - either way, he has on his side all the filth of this land - sorcerers, eternians and supposed "Rhoznaxi deserters".
Elsewhere goblins have started rising up and local warlords are pretending that they don't owe me their loyalty - me, the oldest living son of Forzand!" the orc thumps his chest audibly
"You see how this city blossoms under my rule - I will be a wise and capable King when I'm rid of these bastards and fools."
Gulping down his remaining wine, Gatob burps.
"Will you aid the future King of Kamborash, Roggarians?"
>>
>>1827164
"let's just say all I came here to do was insert this here hammer in Arthur's skull."
>>
>>1827164
"We will surely support you against the Vampires but I cannot say if we will support you against goblinkind. Your families history of siding with the Whitevaynes supporting their cruel genocide of goblins allowed their vampiric grasp to spread into your land. You are a lord of wisdom and economic might as I can see, so I am sure with the help of Roggarian negotiators we can bring a peace amongst the Pantheonic peoples of Hajatas."

Zhou Ran, having a glorious time learning about this strange and fascinating culture of these uncultured but noble savages, spent the entire day strolling the various markets of the city, engaging in much friendly haggling and conversation with the locals.
Many trinkets were bought, a brooch for his maid, a new cape for his bodyguard, a funny hat for his scribe, and a nice, curved knife for himself.

For the most part, the haggling was friendly and the purchases small and modest. That was until, after a lengthy and confusing conversation with a VERY enthusiastic merchant, he saw his confused scribe dragged away and placed with the rest of the local merchandize. Then he found himself the owner of a herd of camels, a bag of tea leaves, a very loud parrot and followed around by a beautiful Eternian maiden in chains insisting on calling him master for some reason.

>>1827164
"As the appointed Ambassador of the Trusted, I can surely give you promises of peace and more goodwill than you could ever dream of!
Roggar hates the archtraitor Arthur and have nothing but love for your people. You can count on our aid for tracking down and murdering that fiend! And for the other stuff too I'm sure" Zhou exclaims, a servant girl on his lap and a goblet of wine in his hand.

Eternia for hundreds of years supplied you with troops, weapons and food during the famine years. Thousands of Eternians have shed blood in these lands for Kamborash and Charlestead. During your earlier wars with the lizard men they aided you through a magnificent portal of Intricate design and infinite complexity. We built the very kingdom you lay claim to you so cockily.
We united the great orc tribes after dominating and destroying goblins witches and heathens creating your Kamborash. Thats right We made it.

After all this, Eternian Called for aid 3 times. What answer did we receive? We cant stare forces or some other lackluster excuse. We lost Two civil wars and When Charlestead was sacked and thousands of civilians and troops were put to torch where were you? Why do you think that bastard blood drinker killed your father? "Excellent! Girls, bring the desserts!"
As a variety of sweet southern fruit are brought to the table, the orc is quite visibly happy with himself.
"I'll be expecting your aid in restoring order to Kamborash, then. You will be rewarded for your services generously.

You journey westward for days until reaching the destination - a fortified town on a hill, overlooking a lake that is fed by a river - along its valley are rich farmlands. The town is fairly large, with a portion being underground, linked with mines that tap into the riches of the earth. You see thousands of goblins going about their lives, some working, others frolickiing, others preparing for war.
You are led to the castle - a wooden wall on the outside, with a layer of stone walls being constructed around the central keep, a rather tall tower. Meeting you outside the tower, in the courtyard, is a goblin man - taller and stronger, with lighter skin than most of his kind you see here. He looks to be a man in his prime, well defined features, wearing brigandine and plate armor.
"Devma, it is so good to see you! And you've brought new friends! We'll talk alone later." he says to the sorceress with a smile, before turning to the Roggarian party
"Allow me to introduce myself, nobles - I am Girk the Swift Hand. I lead the goblins of these lands in their fight for freedom."
>>
>>1827495
"Girk? I have heard such a name before... Do you know of any other Girks?"
>>
>>1827495
"Greetings Girk the Swift Hand, I am Baron Peeper Sword-Arm sworn vassal of the Swift-Hands of Gobbopolis! It is a great thing to see that the blood of Swift-Hands still flows down here after so many years! Tell us of yourself, your people and your struggle!"
>>
>>1827495
"yeah yeah sure, you know where the guy i'm gonna stuff garlic down his arse is?"
"Arthur if you dont know, that pissflap of a donkey's shitpile"
>>
>>1827495
"Hello, Girk the Swift Hand, I am sarita shakti of the clockwork guild. It is nice to meet you."
>>
>>1827495
"Greetings to you, bearer of the swiftest name I've ever heard.
This humble messenger goes by the name Zhou Ran, on behalf of Roggar I greet you."
>>
>>1827498
"There were many who bore the name Girk before me - including the Great Girk, First of Goblinkind. I fight for all goblins so that the name Girk may continue to live on forever, so we never forget who we were, who we are and who we can be."
>>1827500
"You are from Gobbopolis? I bear the blood of that land in my veins and carry the name with pride!" he shows you the iron gauntlets on his hands "Some of us had forgotten our past and entered a deep slumber under the yoke of the orcs - no more!
I was a worker in the eastern city of Arboria years ago, toiling away to feed others - until from the east, a band of goblin travellers arrived, bearing knowledge and wisdom. They told the tales of our past, of the days of Goblin Kings of Hajatas - and of the present, of the Goblin Kings - and Emperors - in Setyrias.
Our overlords had taught us that we goblins were a race of servants, fit for nothing else than to toil in mines and fields.
The travellers told us that we goblins are a people who can accomplish great things. I was inspired - still a young man who had yet to see the world beyond the city. Together with others like me, we left to roam the lands, visitng remnants of our lost civilizations, meeting more of our kin and discovering who we are. When the war started, we armed ourselves and gathered together - away from the fights of orcs, humans and lizards, we prepared and when the time was ripe we fought, expelling the masters of the plantations, the mine overseers, the warlords in their forts - in places like this. Now we gather more and more strength under our banners here in the north and down in the south - we shall free all goblinkind and forge a new path forward for our people!"
"We have fought battles, bled and faced hardships - what we have now is what we've earned with centuries of toil. Distant cousin - will you and your Kingdom aid us?"
>>
>>1827517
"We shall of course support our goblin brothers! It is true, no one can keep down the might of Goblinkind! You will have my sword and many more like it! For a free land of Goblins in Hajatas you will have the full support of Gobbopolis!"
>>
>>1827517
"The tales of your heroism and ambition inspire us all brave hero!
Indeed, I believe I can make the promise that our kingdom will seek to aid you and your people in your noble struggle."
>>
>>1827517
"Of course I shall look into bringing this matter to the attention of my associates and seeing if we can bring aid."
>>
>>1827517
"Tell me, what do you know of the Great Girk? First of Goblinkind?"
>>
>>1827517
"Though you location here at the centre of Kamborash will make aid hard to come to you, my Lord will surely be able to send you arms, men and supplies to aid you. I also have questions! What can you tell us of ancient goblin kings and the lost remnants of our civilization! Also what of Girk? We have heard little of him in Gobbopolis?"
>>
>>1827517
"May I perhaps enquire, how are your relations with the others that share this continent with you? Any of them friendly to you and your kin?"
>>
>>1827537

Long before the Storm - a thousand years before or more perhaps - the first goblins walked across Hajatas, spreading from east to west and north to south. Some would create their own Kingdoms, others would fall under the rule of lizardmen or giants. In those days to oppose the titans or dragons was to forsake hope. The orcs only came about centuries after the first goblins - as a race of slave-warriors bred by the lizardmen for their conquests.
The Storm meant the collapse of the great Empires - an opportunity for our people to rise up. A united goblin Kingdom - perhaps one that could even be called an Empire - existed in the first two centuries after the Storm, but a great plague wiped out many of our people, after which lizards and giants came in to conquer our lands, driving us into the deserts, mountains and jungles, away from the reach of the slaver kingdoms.
Our ancient civilizations were advanced - comparable to those of lizards and giants! We built great cities, roads, monuments. At the time, we had an ally - a Storm Titan by the name of Malanei. One thing is left that I have yet to find out, though - what caused Malanei to simply dissapear from our lands. No records of a great battle that ended with his death is known to us.
After the fall of the Gobpire, we were spread out in many fledgling kingdoms and tribes - until the rise of the Petrakhi in the late 5th century AS, on these very lands we stand on. The rest is history - our ancestors began forging a Pantheonic Kingdom until the coming of the Eternians and their alliance with the orcs, the Sauri expansion from the north and the orcish hordes from the south putting an end to our young Kingdom.
Never again, I say!"
>>1827544
"We have no allies - we do not fight the Caliphate openly, however, to do so would be madness at this point. The orcish warlords, split up as they are, are a foe we can handle if we are united. They would see us killed or enslaved. Never again! Our first battles against them were hard-fought, but now we have the means to defeat them. With your help, The Petrakhi will be reborn!"
>>
>>1827582
"I see.
Our current monarch is a man of virtue and tolerance, I am sure the noble Duke of Gobbopolis will have few problems convincing him into assisting you."
>>
>>1827582
"Thank you for your time, do you think you could spare us guides to Vozgid? We will travel there then depart. Expect aid from Gobbopolis as swift as we can."
>>
>>1827600
"Certainly, but I warn you - don't trust the orcs and their lies.
I hope to hear from you soon, cousins."

With some time taken to rest up, we are given a guide who can take us to a place of our choice:

Ten days after leaving Girk's fort, we reach orc-held lands - the lands that resisted against the invasion to the last, the western coast is well developed, with many villages and towns dotting the landscape. The lands are orderly and though a few of our expedition members catch illnesses, we are not assailed by any beasts or marauders. Regular army forces can be seen holding garrisons, with patrols on the major roadways. The jungles are largely cleared out or contained to the mountain and hill areas - these are lands that the orcs ruled over even before Kamborash was formed. The climate itself is more bearable here, comparable to some areas in Zhongian.

You approach Vozgid on the 5th of Jurias, 815 - it appears to be at least as big as Arboria and in far better condition. Aqueducts and waterways supply the city with fresh water, two layers of walls protect it, great temples rise up with one large domed complex in the center of the city. Compared to everything else you've seen on Hajatas, the place looks pristine, untouched by war.

The city's outer area has a large harbor district, a merchant's district, a craftsmen's district and residential quarters. The inner walls house several Pantheonic temples, richer neighbourhoods, a park and a keep-like structure, two towers with statues on top of them rising from it - the local palace and administrative center.
Centermost is the Cathedral of Charodei and its Academic Circle, a complex of domed buildings with its own system of fortifications and enough infrastructure for it to be a small city unto itself.
It's a pleasant day, the clouds preventing the sun from burning too harshly, yet keeping the sky light enough for everyone to see, with the sea breeze cooling the temperature down to a very pleasant, homelike feeling.
You all have one round of freeroaming.

Competition was heavy and you didn't catch anything today. You return to the tavern saddened, drowning your failures in booze.

You got lost in the city, slipped on something and fell face-down into a muddy ditch. You got up and sighed - the shield you'd just bought was lost again, having fallen into a sewer entrance.

It seems the Academic Circle does not let random strangers enter its premises.
Lonknife and Sir Bord caught no fish, but they did get a dirty shield out of the water just before they were going to quit fishing.

You bought an odd-looking horselike mount - apparently it's called a "Zorse".

Vozgid is the oldest orcish city in Kamborash - it was in this region that the largest tribe on the western coast, the Vozgorn, made its home. The region's climate, terrain, population and distance from hostile neighbours made it ripe for growth - the last Chieftain of the Vozgorn to rule as such passed away over a hundred years ago, handing power to the Magi of Kamborash that he'd welcomed into the city. Vozgid continued to prosper and attracted talent from beyond Kamborash. It was in every way the natural-born capital of the Kingdom, but the Kings of the Kirzar dynasty wanted their own seat of power, their family having come from the eastern coast - the locals will tell you that Kambor was an artificial city, a bloated center of a fallen line of warchiefs that took from all others to build their own project - one that has now shown to be a failure. The people of Vozgid are proud of their history and identity and believe that Archmagus Zatnelgam, who has ruled the city for twenty three years, can create a new, better orcish nation, with its capital right here.
