>>Information

This quest, as the title suggests, takes place in the world of Dragon Ball. You're playing as a thirty (thirty one) year old man named Tofoo, and will adventure through the story of the Dragonball series alongside characters such as Goku, Yamcha, Bulma, Tien, and many others. Through your actions, you can make significant changes to the story, and perhaps even become the strongest fighter on Earth.

>Rules

At the end of each update you'll have ten minutes to vote on options. Write-ins are allowed, but I do reserve the right to veto them.

In the event of a draw, the option to receive the next vote wins

Rolls will be used on certain occasions, such as attempting a technique for the first time or attempting something extremely difficult. You will have three rolls, and if one succeeds, you succeed. There are no crits.

Rolls are made AFTER an option wins, not during the voting process

I hope everyone has fun.

Semi-Perfect Cell

>>
Trunks locks horns with Cell in a fierce exchange a far distance from where you hover. It's hard to tell who will emerge the victor, but it's too close a match for your liking.

Unfortunately, there's little you can do about that in your current situation. Cell's Merry-Go-Round Gun has your arms pretty firmly locked to your sides, making you a far less effective fighter than you would be otherwise.

You struggle to move your hands, attempting to point your fingers up at the gum, and cut through it with your energy, but before you can accomplish this, you find yourself crying out in pain as the skin on your back begins to burn.

Turning around, you find Thirteen holding a hand toward you, grinning wickedly.

"Now now, two on one hardly seems fair, boy," the machine tells you. "Hows about you stay back and let yer kid give it a try? I'm sure you're curious just how strong he is, and Doctor Gero's mighty curious about how strong Cell is right now."

Opening your mouth wide, you let the rage and energy inside your burst forth, firing off a Bear Shout at the smirking blue Android. You've had enough of him getting in your way, and you've certainly heard enough of his stupid voice.

His eyes widen for a fraction of a second, then narrow as he lets out a scowl, holding out his hands to create a barrier in front of his body. It's not enough, as an instant later, your Bear Shout shatters the forcefield and slams into the machine's chest, forcing Thirteen to the ground below, and detonating as both it and your foe strike the ground.

You observe a massive, ground-shaking blast; one which sends flames and scraps of flaming metal to litter the landscape. It's hard to say anything for certain when dealing with a foe whose energy you can't detect, but you don't see him pop back up. For now, you might as well just assume he's either dead or crippled, as searching for him now would really just waste your time.

On to more pressing matters. You turn around just in time to see your son leave a shallow cut on Cell's face with his sword. The monster frowns, and answers with a bone-shattering blow to your son's gut.

You hear a pained cry from your boy as his upper body falls forward. His arms go wide, and the sword slips from his grasp, falling from the sky to stab into the Earth as Trunks is sent soaring away.

Cell's frown is replaced with a confident smile, and he rushes after Trunks, opening his mouth wide and firing a ball of energy from his stomach.

Trunks cringes as he manages to stop himself, face twitching in pain as he opens his eyes. The sight of the incoming attack prompts Trunks to dive out of instinct, letting the blast pass over his head as he charges head-first toward the ground below.

Laughing with delight, Cell extends his left hand, palm facing toward your son. An amused smile appears on his disgusting face as he begins to fire projectiles of energy down toward the fleeing fighter.

Meanwhile, you struggle to free yourself from the damned gum. But, try as you might, struggle as you may, you can't quite seem to free yourself. You can hear an odd sort of creaking as you try to force your body free, but you don't see any cracks form, or any other sign that you're even making progress.

>A. Keep trying! You can do this!

>B. Use the Kaio-Ken on top of the Kuma-Ken, and hope that it doesn't kill you

>C. Try teleporting someplace cold and breaking it once it freezes

Trunks can't keep dodging forever, and you aren't making any progress with this damn gum. You may not be able to use your arms or legs normally, but you're still far from helpless. Cell's going to learn that the hard way.

Taking a deep breath to calm yourself from your worry and frustration, you begin to gather up your energy, channeling it down through your legs and to the soles of your feet, which grow warm with the life-energy being fed into them.

Cell isn't even looking at you, seeming to simply be enjoying himself as he casually sends his blasts down toward your son. Your attack is all-but certain to catch him by surprise if he's as disregarding you as much as he seems to be.

Looking to the spot behind Cell's back, you simply vocalize "Kai-Kai", and find yourself right there. It takes only a moment for you to properly maneuver your body so that your feet are facing Cell's back.

In that moment, Cell quickly spins around, eyes going wide in shock and mouth opening as you fire off the Kamehameha Wave from your feet. Whatever he may have been trying to say is cut off as the attack pushes him through the air, moving him away from you, and giving Trunks a moment to catch his breath.

Trunks comes rocketing up toward you, holding out his right hand and producing a blade of energy, with which he cuts into the substance that keeps your limbs bound.

With a flex of your arms, you find yourself free, the Merry-Go-Round gum falling to pieces and dropping to the ground. You take a moment to stretch a bit, keeping your eyes peeled for Cell.

"He's more powerful than I expected," Trunks tells you, looking into the direction your blast pushed the monster. "I don't think either of us can defeat him alone."

"Then the two of us will take him together," you tell Trunks as you start off in the direction Cell went.

Your son follows along shortly after, right behind you as you look for your foe. You aren't sure why Cell hasn't returned, yet. There's little chance that your attack did all that much damage to someone as powerful as him, so you doubt he's lying on the ground somewhere. But, he's not trying to hide, either. You can sense exactly where he is, and it doesn't feel like he's gathering up a whole lot of energy, so you doubt he's biding time to unleash some massive attack.

Did he just want to change the battlefield, or is something else going on?

You get your answer as you finally spot Cell, standing on top of a large rock and looking up toward you and Trunks as you approach. His hands are down at his sides, but you can still feel some sort of vibration coming from him.

That's when you look behind him and see that his tail has extended, and looks as if it may have gone into the ground behind him. His plan makes sense, now. He's waiting for the two of you to land, or at least get close enough to the ground to hit him. Once you do that, he'll take you by surprise and absorb one of you.

Not going to happen.

You stop where you are, and prepare to attack from the air, but before you can even decide on which attack to use, Cell thrusts his hands up toward you, and what looks like a bolt of lightning zips through the air.

If not for your body reflexively moving when you saw Cell move his arms, the attack would have struck you. As it is, you feel the hairs on your body stand up as the bolt passes you.

Trunks, on the other hand, is not so lucky.

His body jerks, and he lets out an agonized scream as he begins surrounded by a flashing light, within which you can see his body twitch as electricity courses through his body.

Your mind flashes back to the Twenty-First World Martial Arts Tournament, where Jackie Chun used his Lightning Shock Surprise attack against you. Your body aches at the memory, and you recall that you were damaged for days from that attack.

But, this one's different. There's nothing connecting Trunks to Cell. In fact, as you look down, you can see the monster rushing up toward you!

Trunks may be out of the fight for the moment, but you aren't going to let either one of you be easy prey for Cell. Locking your elbows at your sides and letting out a burst of energy, you steel yourself to face Cell alone.

Your monstrous opponent grins at seeing you stand your ground, rushing up to face you in hand-to-hand combat. Unfortunately for him, that's not what you have in mind.

You maintain the charade until he's right on top of you, then once again use the Kai-Kai to move behind him. Before he can fully process what you've done, you reach out and grab hold of his tail, spinning and hurling him down to the ground below. But, not content with letting that be all you do to him, you gather some energy, and, after infusing it with electricity, fire an electric Light Shot down after your enemy.

Cell hits the ground hard, sending chunks of rocks and debris in all directions. And, a mere second later, your blast hits him, and his body jolts as electricity courses through it.

You've bought yourself a few more seconds.

The difference between our power isn't as bad as it was between Krillin and Perfect Cell in canon, so what's the problem?

It's time to put this thing down for good. You raise your right hand above your head, flattening your palm and facing it toward the sky. Focusing your energy, you create a flat disk of light that hovers above your palm. In that moment, you think of Krillin, and as you stare down at the monster that swallowed him up, you feel your rage growing.

"KIENZAN!" you roar, hurling the disk down at the monster.

The spinning, deadly attack moves swiftly, and though Cell sees it coming in the end, he doesn't have the chance to get out of the way. His eyes go wide, his hands grip the ground, and he seems to attempt to scurry back, but it doesn't matter. The Kienzan slices through his midsection, and his arms go limp as his body falls apart.

You aren't satisfied yet, though. Before turning your attention away from your broken foe, you want to give him one last hit for Krillin, and all the other people whose lives he stole. With the mightiest roar you can muster, you fire from your gullet a powerful wave of energy that shatters the earth below as it strikes Cell, swallowing the monster's remains up in its deadly light, as well as the deep, dark pit that the attack creates.

Now, you feel comfortable looking away.

Trunks continues to twitch and cringe within the light. You know he's in pain, though you can't really tell how much. In any case, you should probably try to get him out of there.

Sticking your hand into that light seems unwise. You aren't sure blasting him would be the best approach, either. For now, all you can think of is trying to use a burst of energy to push him out of whatever's holding him.

After taking a deep breath, your thrust your right hand toward Trunks, producing a powerful burst of wind and energy. You see Trunk's body move back, but unfortunately, the light seems to move with him.

This is no good.

It looks like your only option may be to just pull him out of there. You attempt to cover your body in a barrier of your own energy and reach into the light, but something goes wrong. Your entire body jerks as you find yourself surrounded by the light, and Trunks freed from it.

Looking exhausted and bewildered, Trunks seems to struggle to figure out how to free you without getting trapped again. As the seconds pass, however, you realize that he doesn't have much time, as you can sense something moving below.
