Glory to Alainn!

You are Cathal Rathais, one of the chosen elite, the 13th Legion, scouting a world 4231 years after your country won the Grand War and placed itself in cryostasis to allow the planet to recover.

You have assumed the false name "Ace Locke" for your hunter identity. So far, only close friends and allies know your real name.

You are back in California again, on the artificial island of FEATHER.

[Art done by a dear friend]

With the sun overhead, a line of trees and sand on artificial land, your party gets the chance to enjoy themselves in the heat.

they seem to group up on their own. It's actually rather nice. The sand, the sun. Everyone seems to enjoy themselves... with the exception of Clark. He stands in the shade, reading.

"What's the matter?" You ask.

"I don't typically go swimming for fun. Long story." He doesn't seem to want to talk about it, and you have no intention to press onward with that line of questioning.

For a moment, you allow yourself to relax and let your worries go for a day... and what a way to relax. You got to try many things, watermelons... ice cream... The waves in the inner beach were calm and cooling.

In the end, though, night began to fall, and the vacation had to end. You still have things to do, but your party's morale should be high now.

That's pretty sweet OP. Thank you for this.

>Speak with Alleria about the mech army
By the way, I wonder what sort of retirement program we could have for old mechwarriors. Clones or not, they're still people in there.

Also we could have a chat with Almeda about our next steps. After some smalltalk perhaps so it's not just all business with her.

I'm guessing that next order of business will be dealing with the renegade base?
>>
>>1888541
>>1888547
>>1888552
You meet with Almeda first.

"Ah, Cathal, good morning. What a day. Shame such beaches don't exist in Alainn... Still, with the alliances we made, we could see summer days like that in the future."

"How are things? For the agenda, that is?"

"Well, It's up to you. Our mission can go any direction, though I appreciate the time you're spending with me, too. Korlanis is the hub of the Archivum. Information abounds, but the politics there are cutthroat. Jeremy's database said Otharthur is still active, so we'll need to see if they are a threat. Bunker Gemini is full of traitors, we'll need to wipe them out... And my bunker is in the Northern region, where the Iron colossus strides." She shrugs, "The archivum digsite and the dragon rangers could use a look at in the titan's arm too. there's an Ollamic city there, which means another terminal."

"I'll figure out our next course of action soon." you nod.

You head to Administration to find Alleria on her way to your resting place.

"Ah, what luck. I needed to speak with you. Lily and I have obligations with FEATHER. I won't be able to accompany you all the time, so we'll have to part ways a while. You can keep Sam and Vivianne with you, however. I've told the faerie to follow your orders as if they were mine. Both are by the anomaly back."

"Actually, I needed to speak with you about the mech army." You start.

"Oh?"

"I'd like to use them back home, but there's also the matter of the matter of the people inside-"

"They can't leave those mechs."

"What?"

"They have almost no immune resistance. Those pods keep them safe from contagions you and I are immune to. As for using those mechs..." Alleria pauses, "The model you chose is too heavy to have Jeremy transport them. You'll need FEATHER logistics. We can transport them to the depot, but in the other world they need to travel by ground.. You can move them to Otharthur or the mountains from Inis, but that's all we have if you want to move inconspicuously."

"What about retiring the pilots?"

"Ask Jeremy. I'm a scientist, not a miracle worker."
>Alleria and Lily have left the party
At least your army can go to your world... although Titan's Arm or Otharthur Desert are the only options.
What to do?
>Try to convince Alleria to stay with you.

As for Alleria's duties
>I understand. Good luck with your job here, circumstances aside our cooperation is a smooth one I'd say.

>Talk with Jeremy about use of Lethos
What sort of support can he offer with that thing? Although we should inform him in advance before we head into the thick of a combat situation if possible, he's got his own work to do so we can't really ask him to stand on full alert for immediate response.

As for the mechs, I'm now imagining a remote resort where elderly machines of war hang out, watch the tv broadcasts in a kind of drive in theaters...
>>
>>1888556
>>1888558
You nod, "I understand. Best luck with your job here."

Alleria grins, "We'll be fighting beside you again soon, I'd bet."

You leave for the R&D, where Jeremy is. Vee has a massive box of supplies.

"Oh! Hello! How are you today? Lovely weather..."

"We wanted to ask you about using Lethos." You respond.

"Ah, okay." he sighs in relief, "Vee and I were going to explore Kantrel soon, actually. What do you need my flying city for?"

"What kind of support can it provide?"

"Oh, safe haven to rest and heal, artillery platform, transport of light goods, item shop... a whole bunch of things, really, But either Vee or I need to be aboard. If I get more IRU members, though, that can change."
>(optional) Recruit people into the IRU.

"We plan on going into a combat situation if possible, actually..."

"Oh... about that. I can't go. I'm good at science and research, not fighting. If you want, I can send Faye to assist you at times, though." Jeremy gives a reluctant smile, "But if you are exploring ruins or going into a big city, by all means, invite me! I'll be going to Kantrel and securing it."
>Jeremy Trost and Vee have left the party.

At least you have a mobile safe spot you can rest in.

"Oh, certainly. If possible I'd like to copy a scan of their brain before the procedure."

"Very well. We'll notify you of places of interest for you when we are going to delve into them."

Look at the pic he posted. A lot of tumblr artists inexplicably all use that nose for all their art, and its prevalent enough that its used as an indicator that something is from tumblr, as well as a lack of quality.

"I just needed a few supplies for my own lab FEATHER has that I don't that's all." Jeremy smiles.

"So you are stealing them?"

"Borrowing. I am BORROWING them." Jeremy corrects.

"Unless he destroys them." Vee adds.

"...right. Question... Alleria mentioned you could do something about the mech pilots?"

"Oh...The stabilization. Yes, I can free them from their pods, but... they can never pilot that mech again. I have to still test it..."

"We're to scared to kill the sample." Vee explains.

"Yes, my 'sister.' We are still not wanting to try the process out."

The flight to the anomaly point is short. One of the troops stated that they will be moving your mech army to Inis, but it'll take a while to get them all there. You could probably do another task while you wait for your army to complete their transit.

The anomaly itself was under guard. FEATHER had apparently secured the entire region after you'd ripped the forest apart.

Sam and Vivianne stand at attention, although the fae looks REALLY bored.

"Okay, you're here. Can we go? We're going now, right?"

The world shifts as you appear back on Lethos, floating above your mansion.

Jeremy is already there with Vee, somehow reaching there before you.

"Eh?" Sam blinks. Rhea is similarly shocked, "How did you-"

"IRU trade secret. Anyhow, I will be going north to Kantrel, but your airship is parked here. Feel free to decide where you are going next."

You know a few mechs are already through. If you want to use your full force, you'll need to wait, perhaps complete another task?

Suppose we can make an appearance and welcome them on the soil of the world that will host their homeland.

What shall we tackle as next objective though? The digsite?
>>
>>1889860
>>1889888
You reach the forests of inis by air... or rather, you reached a paved field. There are about twelve mechs waiting. You greet them and welcome them to the world.

Bunker Gemini is one of the larger facilities of Otharthur. You aren't sure twelve or even 13 of your mechs could take an unknown force in such an area. A FEATHER soldier gives you some scouting information.

The Otharthur desert seems to have areas of metal scrap, but it also has powerful AA hiding in the sandy dunes. Your patrol tank, of Otharthur make, could probably slip in unnoticed. There are some towns at the desert's edge with people studying the wrecks. People vanish in the sands, and taking your mech army might bring dangerous risks.

The Archivum digsite appears to be in contention with dragons. Right now they are in a stalemate. The Dragon Rangers, operating from an outpost, are probably the cause.

You decide a digsite besieged by dragons is safer than infiltrating Otharthur territory in one of their vehicles.

Your airship whirrs as you careen through the air. The flight is uneventful, and Rhea tries to teach everyone how to play 'poker.' It turns out that Clark is a dirty cheater at poker.

Once the digsite is in range, you notice several details... There are Ollamic auto cannons set around the perimeter, which appear to be hijacked. There is an Archivum airship looming over the camp, at least four time the size of yours. And... more alarming, they seem to be digging up an Ollamic Eradicator Unit.

As you land, you are met with a familiar face, one you would rather not see again.

"Well... if it isn't the Delothian dragonslayers." Cyer grins at the sight of you, "You amassed a large group I see." Behind the man who might be a threat- no he's digging up an eradicator next to an Ollamic city. He IS a threat, anyhow, behind him are a large mass of young Archivum students in grey robes.

"I didn't call in for help, but if you want to help with the dragon problem, then I won't stop you." He smirks. You note one of the dragons getting gunned down as it climbs over a ridge, "So, how can my students and I help you?"

You are pretty sure helping Cyer is a bad idea. a REALLY bad idea.

"Fine. What's the deal with the dragons?"

"They've been attacking sinnce we established the digsite." He shrugs. you hear another gun.

"Won't shooting them aggravate them?"

"It also kills them." Cyer replies, "They are attacking, it's fair."

"What about Dragon Rangers?"

"They have an outpost, but don't come in person... So I'll keep going." Cyer smiles.

"Aren't your guns keeping them from visiting?" Pisteia asks.

Cyer raises an eyebrow, "What's it to you, knight?"

This man is not helpful, and appears to be acting on an agenda.
>ask how you can deal with the dragons
>Ask to enter the underground city.
>leave and check immediate area for Dragon Rangers.
>>

>Ask to enter the underground city
although I don't expect him to consent.
>leave and check immediate area for Dragon Rangers

I wonder what agenda that would be.

What sort of security forces does the digsite have, in case we had to leave on unfriendly terms? I'd rather not alienate archivum, but things can always go wrong...
>>

"May we enter the underground city?" You ask.

"Disturb my digsite? No. Why not kill some dragons for me?" Cyer responds. You look over to the camp. There are a lot of Archivum students present. There are also some mages and what appear to be Hunters. Going in forcibly will probably label you an enemy of most of Esmor, as well as the Archivum. If you want entry, you'll need to find a way to rout the guards indirectly.

You shake your head, "I'll be going."

"Yes, I'm sure you will..." Cyer responds, leaving you to lift off. You circle the digsite. Over the ridge, you can spot a lone tent, but the dragons near it make landing dangerous.

In the distance is a mountaintop keep, with a docked airship.

How far from the campsite is the keep?
And the dragons stay away from the keep?
Does the keep bear markings that would indicate who's in it? Or the docked airship for that matter.
>>
>>1892813
This appears to be a Dragon Ranger keep (According to Uriel.) There are no wild dragons present. The airship is unknown at this distance.

The keep is obscured by mountains from the digsite, but not the tent. It's a good distance.
>>
>>1892813
to continue, I will assume this is a vote for the keep?
>>
>>1892823
Cool, let's dock then.

It appears that we're going to have to get acquainted with higher ups in Archivum to deal with likes of Cyer. In the meantime let's explore other avenues...
>>
>>1892855
>>1892810
You dock. Uriel identifies the airship as a Dragon Slayer of the Deloth Imperial fleet... something VERY out of place.

Someone walks out, flanked by knights in dragon-themed armor... another old face. Lady Davincourt.

"The killers of the Blood Dragon. Come to apologize? Or come to slay dragons?" a figure in thick clothing wearing... whay appears to be a high-tech visor... stares at you behind her, along with an airship captain.

>Why is a dragon slayer ship here?
>Apologize for slaying the blood dragon.
>ask about the visored man.

>>
>>1893055
I like how you're apologizing for everything BUT killing the dragon, the one thing they're actually mad about.
>>
>>1892948
>>1893028
"We did what was necessary to help the locals. For what it's worth, I regret the situation was not resolved to everyone's satisfaction." you state.

"...That's a very roundabout apology..." Kavera responds.

"As for slaying more, not necessarily. We will be glad to discuss this situation in detail and perhaps be of mutual assistance.."

"So you are saying you want to help us now. Would that be due to the ancient war machine they are trying to revive over there? Or perhaps the fact they have set up a large amount of guns that shoot at all dragons regardless of motive?" She stares at your group.

It might be a bit of a surprise they know the purpose of that machine... unless the dragons told them. That might be the case, actually.

"I wouldn't say you are too far in your assumptions."

You introduce your companions. Vivianne gets a few odd looks, but otherwise there seems to be little interest in what she is.

"A strange crew indeed..." Kavera nods.

"What do you know about the war machine?"

"It's called an Eradicator. The dragons tell it as a weapon of genocide. a few of them lie buried in the dirt of this valley." She's actually quite correct. It seems the dragons do remember the Grand War.

Which means they'd remember Alainn too.

"Why is there a dragon slayer ship?"

Kavera teps to one side, indicating the man behind her in aviator attire, "This is Captain Cheshiram of the Delothian Imperial Fleet. We've been working with them to mitigate damages from feral dragons and to capture them."

"And... the other guy?"

"That's Onezer..." Kavera looks back at the visored guy, "He's a dragon ranger of the highest caliber." You also notice this Onzer has a rifle. Not a rifle like yours. It looks almost like FEATHER's or Jeremy's... but lightweight... efficient. A brief flicker of lights on it and you can tell it's beyond anything you know. Onzer doesn't speak. The visor is just opaque black glass you can't see past.
>we want to disrupt Cyer's operations. What assets do you have at your disposal?

[Assessment: We are currently at a Dragon Ranger keep. The anons have expressed desires to mess up Cyer's plans. Dragon Rangers are opposed to Cyer's activities.]
>>
>>1895191
>So, who exactly are you, Kavera?
>What do you seek to accomplish here? We may be able to assist.

If she inquires about our motivations further, might as well admit we want to explore the ruins.

What do we know about the Eradicator? It sounds like something we would want to keep from falling into even potentially hostile hands.

I'm not thrilled about idea of alienating Archivum outright, but we might want to find out more about their motives with this hardware.
>>
>>1895336
>>1895202
"So who are you?"

"...I'm Kavera Davincourt. As I said when we first met. I'm a noblewoman from Korlanis. I run the Dragon Rangers." She frowns, "If you don't know who I am, you must be oblivious about a lot of things... Are you even Delothian?"

"They aren't." Cheshiram shakes his head, "Our dragon slayers are regimented."

"What are you trying to accomplish here, though?" You ask.

"We need to keep that thing out of the Archivum's hands. Eradicators hold no purpose but to destroy." You think a moment. Eradicators are war machines. They do have some mechanical and technological aspects, but nothing out of the ordinary from a regular Ollamic war machine. The plethora of different weapons, though, is something they carry. An eradicator is also capable of gathering resources and forging materials to replicate its weapons.

You aren't sure if it's the archivum's goal or Cyer's... with a proper terminal, he could even control- You realize why he didn't want you in the city: he's taking the terminal.

"I think your situation might be worse than that. He might have a means to control it." You reply.

"Ah?" Kavera looks at you then to Artoria, her eyes widen, "There's a terminal in the city... of course. Onezer, go to the field camp, notify the rangers there!"

"Understood." Onzer's voice has a bit of static to it, like a radio. The dragon ranger rushes off into the keep. You spot a white dragon burst from the caverns below and fly towards the camp.

"The Archivum is not usually this... aggressive. I think it might be Cyer's work." Cheshiram states.

"...Hasn't he caused enough problems?" Kavera sighs.

>What do you know about Cyer?
>What can we do to help?
>May we speak with Cheshiram?
>>
>>1895444
>What do you know about Cyer?
If it's really only one guy in the organization that's an actual problem, then the answer is usually pretty simple.

Also
"While I do like the Archivum's public rhetoric of preserving history, I do not at all want even a half functioning Eradicator in the hands of anyone."

"What do you know of Cyer?" Your question causes Kavera to glare at the digsite.

"The Archivum plays a dangerous game. They revive the past and spread it. This world was destroyed once... many species, sentient and not, were obliterated by countries preoccupied with themselves. Some things should stay buried." She pauses, "Cyer is a famed Archivum member. many look up to him, he's said to be second best, but... It's all a front. He uses a team of mercenaries to steal away things in plain sight, giving the Archivum what he feels he can give up. We've seen him despoil many ruins."

She crosses her arms, "It's worse when he has backing, like Garvelton Industries. The Archivum is full of idealists, and it takes only one to abuse it."

"Is there anything we can do to help?"

"If you could eliminate a few of those guns, we could overrun their defenses, sending them into retreat. The students and teachers will leave, and only Cyer and his mercenaries will remain. The Archivum always abandons sites when in trouble."

You look to your party.
Almeda says what you were thinking, "We could call Jeremy and have him take the guns out at range. That way we can avoid blame."

Sam shrugs, "FEATHER has no ties on this world aside from you. We could order an airstrike on the targets."

"We could also launch our own assault, but we'd lose rapport with Archivum in general." Artoria states, "Launching Faye would shift the blame to the IRU, but I'm not sure Jeremy would enjoy making the Archivum his enemies."

"Or..." Uriel states, "We can travel to Korlanis, tell them what we saw, embellish a bit, and force Cyer to pull out."

You look to Kavera.
>Can we think about it?
>What do you have we can use?
>Call Jeremy for ranged bombardment.
>Call in FEATHER airstrike (FEATHER and Archivum at war)
>Deploy Faye (Archivum and IRU at war)
>Attack the turrets yourself. (wage war on Archivum)
>Go to Korlanis City and force Archivum to retreat.
>>
>>1897516
The political pressure seems to be the best tool here, although convincing the top dogs that their poster boy is up to something sinister won't be easy.

How much time do we have? We might want to have Jeremy fuck the place up as spectre as a last resort.

Let's head to Korlanis, but it would be nice to dig up some dirt on him first... does Kavera have any leads?

"Kavera, any leads I can use on Cyer?"

"I told you all we know, really." she shakes her head.

"Very well, we have a plan to deal with him..."

You decide to head to Korlanis.

Your airship flies far... farther than you've flown before to your knowledge. It takes you a couple days to reach the sunny ocean shores to the south. A great walled city lies on the shores, a sprawl of buildings within. A tier shows fancy structures and a Zerican-influenced campus, overlooking the chaos below, and another tier above that holds a palace with a golden roof!

Your airship lands on walltop docks, next to many other airships. Boats sail in and out of the harbor.

You have reached Korlanis City, Capital of Esmor and heart of the Archivum.

You order the party to split up into groups to scout several areas.
The fae, bard, and survivalist go to the market, the demigod and hazard soldier go to the upper tier.
>Rhea, Vivianne, Uriel, and ????? have left the party
>Clark and Sam have left the party

You, Pisteia, Artoria, and Almeda head to the hunter's guild. The board of tasks is mostly escort missions or guard missions. It's dominated by Archivum requests.

The woman at the reception nods, "It's nearing fall, so the season to do archaeology in the North is rapidly falling."

There are some local odd jobs in the town, but given the timeframe you doubt you want to give parcel courier jobs a try. There are also some jobs by some families... they seem to involve backing the army and preventing some of the Archivum quests from getting completed.

You head to your meeting point. Clark and Sam are already there. Clark speaks first.

"This place is politically charged. The duchies and the Archivum fight politically for control in this city. Right now a majority of noble families counter the Archivum's actions. While we were there, we found the Davincourt estate. They are of the king's faction."

The other group returns. Uriel looks like he was recently slapped in the face. half of it is red. Rhea and Vivianne have returned with fruit.

"It turns out if you look really cute, most shopkeepers will let you have a free one!" Vivianne exclaims, before looking to Rhea, "Or a large chest."

"I regret nothing." Rhea responds, handing over a bag of assorted fruits. You recognize all of these... You're glad they didn't die out.

"What happened to Uriel?"

"Flirting with some girls, I bet." Rhea says, "One probably smacked him."

"That's not totally true." Uriel clarifies, "I WAS flirting, but while they were about collecting fruit, I took a nap. I awoke to someone smacking me across the face, with some voice telling me to not cheat on her..."

You stare at Uriel.

"It doesn't make sense, I'm not in any relationships!"

You turn to the rest, "Any intel? News on FEATHER or possibly Garvelton?"

"Yeah, Garvelton industries is big here. Saw a few airships and carts belonging to them." Rhea nods.

"Indeed, he's financially backing the nobles in Korlanis, as well as some Archivum ventures. I believe he's one of Cyer's backers." Clark explains, "There's also talk of the Delothian-Nelolan conflict, and... a tank ravaging villages in the far west."

You frown. There's a bit to take in, but you might be able to act on it.
>Clark, Vivianne, Sam, Rhea, Uriel and ????? have rejoined the party

You head up to the second tier. The villas of nobility lie behind a great metal gate, allowing you to see them living in luxury. Just opposite, massive domed structures loom. A Zerican skycrystal sways in the air, tethered by a chain to the city. You step past the brown boxlike buildings along the sides. A park with soft grass and a fountain breaks apart what would be cobblestone road. You reach a great door, looming before you... the entrance to the Archivum's Great Library. Vast windows extend towards the dome, glinting in the sunlight of the cloudless sky.

>You will need to stay awake watching Uriel to investigate this.

You enter the great library, and you are greeted with a dragon skeleton. A fossil, for sure, since dragons don't get this big. A desk underneath holds a person with blue robes who watches as you enter. It's an older lady, but she smiles at the sight of your group.

"We are looking for Nissa? We worked with her once?" You asked.

"Oh! Oh my, you are associates of Miss Estalise?" The woman gasps, "I'll send a message immediately!" She writes out a note and sets it on a tray. The tray then floats up into a trapdoor on the high ceiling.

"It'll be but a moment." She smiles.

"Estalise... hrm... I could have sworn I know..." Clark mutters.

"We intruded on their house. They are big supporters of the anti-Archivum faction." Sam states.

"Well, I mean, you actually came! I wasn't expecting you to, nobody else ever has! Does this make us friends now?" Nissa looks at you hopefully, "I don't really have any yet so I'm not sure..."

The silence afterwards is awkward to say the least, "I-I see you got new friends!"

"Ah, well they did help out. Could we perhaps have the tea then?"

"Oh, right, of course! Follow me!" She leads your group to an elevator, somewhat large, certainly magical. It lifts your group up, passing many floors of halls. Sometimes a bank of glass or an opening into a vast room of books and windows. Finally you reach the top. A set of double doors opens to a great domed chamber with a railing overlooking massive bookcases. Tiny trays move about the vast space. Vines tangle down from the railing and creep along the dome.

Nissa leads you to a table... As she does, she passes someone familiar. Garvelton. He smirks at your group, folding a book and leaving.

"Ah, Mr. Garvelton, you have to go?"

"Afraid so, Nissa, dear. Til next time..." he leaves through another doorway and is gone.

"Nissa, that man is trouble." you warn.

"Garvelton? But he's a major benefactor!" She protests, "He's been so nice to the Archivum..."

"It's a trick. He's backing the royal faction in Korlanis too." the demigod explains.

"B-but..."

"Speaking of the royal faction, you seem to share the same name as one... Estalise?" Clark adds.

She stares at him, horrified, "That-that was- that was my family..." She grips a chair and slowly sits down, "wh-why would you bring that up?"

You explain your conflict with Garvelton, what all he did. Uriel and Clark offer their experiences, and they seem to give a compelling case against him.

"T-that sounds unbelieveable... but... he did recently lose his Inis branch... And the archivum branch there WAS destroyed..."

"Do you know anything about him?"

"Uh, he comes in here often, and always reads for a bit. He seems very friendly usually. He owns a chain of factories around the world, and is a big player in the economy. If he is like you say he is... It could be very bad. More so because the Council trusts him."

"No, no active eradicators."

"Oh thank goodness." Nissa sighs in relief. "I've read too many horrific tales after the grand war of fighting them."

"What if the Archivum recovered one?"

"Is the council of the same opinion?" You ask

Hi, just caught up, I have several questions.
How was the 14th supposed to last for 4000 years and what were they actually supposed to do for all that time?
When did we become lovers with Almeda? the festival? or did I miss something?
were the 13th supposed to wake up simultaneously? or over time and make regular reports?
would they have a cycle of waking and sleeping?

- 14th had enough troops to create a large enough genetic pool. The entire force is generational.
- Almeda is the one in love with you. She was in love with you before you were frozen. That's why she asked the Grand General to have the same activation time and locale as you. She is your lover. It is up to the players if they want to be hers.
- 13th do not wake up simultaneously. They do make reports though, although not regularly. They have a cycle of waking and sleeping so that multiple scouts are active.

4000 years of generations waiting for a country to come back from the dead...I'm not surprised they decided it wasn't worth it.
>>

[indeed so. It's perfectly logical for them to reach that conclusion.]

I'll submit that I'm fine with Almeda being Cathal's romantic interest. The two fit well together.

"What is the story of the archivum and Ranger rivalry? You're both in bad terms..." You ask, curious for more information as Nissa leads you down the halls.

"The dragons remember the Grand war. The Rangers work with them. We try to learn from history and improve life with the good things learned in the past. The Rangers think they protect people and the world by hiding away that history and technology." She sighs, "They think because they side with ancient entities that have experienced more, their way is better, but dragons and humans don't share the same values."

"Of course not." You are well aware that dragons never had a need to alter their environment much, nor did they need industry or tools. In fact... Zerican and dragon rivalry over control of he skies is what led to the Grand War. In retrospect, Alainn must have looked as if it sided with the dragons.

"And this council?" You ask as Nissa stops before massive doors, "Who are they?"

"Inside." Nissa waves her hand, runes flash as the doors creak open. A dimly lit hall, the windows tinted enveloping it in dark blue, is revealed. Nissa leads, "The heads of every department. The oldest staff of the Archivum. They control all management. Please, be respectful."

Another door opens with a wave, a dak circular room is before you. Unfiltered sunlight shines in, reflected to make a circle in the center. You see silhouettes of people at each podium.

Nissa walks you to the center.

"Miss Estalise, and... guests. You have a matter of grave importance?"
>Garvelton is dangerous (roll d100 to convince)
>Cyer's expedition must withdraw
>Cyer is digging up an Eradicator.
>Foreign invaders have taken a skyfortress
>People from another world control Inis.
>Thank you for the airship.
>Alainn exists.

>Cyer's expedition must withdraw
Because uhmm... It's causing a huge amount of friction between the Dragon PETA- I mean Rangers and Archivum. Also they seem to have failed to notify Archivum of their findings of very dangerous war machinery

Offer to accompany archivum agent to site, tell them about cyer and eradicator

>>Cyer's expedition must withdraw
>>Cyer is digging up an Eradicator.

We'd need more evidence to finger Garvelton at this point, especially since he's so entrenched right now.

We could however point out that they can once again safely operate in Inis thanks to our GOOD FRIENDS, the FEATHER

By the way OP, I know you've been navigating those waters before, but what do we actually know in character of how the war started, happened and ended?
I understand that various other nations were building up more or less horrifying superweapons but Alainn beat them all to the punch with the orbital weaponry and wiped them all out.

>inb4 we get to terminal in Cyer's excavation and he or she will attack us as enemies because they'll have more up to date intel than Artoria had

I'm ok with this.

"The Titan's arm expedition must withdraw!" You declare. Several of the silhouettes move and murmur.

"Why do you say this?"

"They are engaging with Dragon Rangers in combat, and have set up an excavation." Nissa replies, "Archaeologist Cyer has NOT taken and excavation team, nor has any digsite up there been notified."

"This is true, young Nissa. I'm surprised... Normally you would back your old mentor. Why the change of heart?" The lead councilman asks.

"Cyer is digging up a war machine... An Ollamic Eradicator." She looks down.

"An eradicator?! That is a huge claim, miss Estalise!"

"These people are eyewitnesses. One of them is an Ollam Terminal!" Nissa points to Artoria. The council murmurs among itself.

"We will have a flyby performed by the local branch office. If they are excavating, we'll put out a recall immediately. It's strange, though, he never took any of our excavation tools for this..." Nissa bows at the decision, you are prompted to do likewise Once you do so, you are led out.

"It'll take a bit, and Cyer's gonna be really mad once he's pulled back..." Nhe stares out one of the windows, "S-so you want to look around Korlanis?"

>We need to be getting back to Titan's arm.
>We can look through the city if you want to guide us.
>We were planning on staying just a short while before returning to the mountains.

>We should be heading to Titan's arm to release the terminal there...
>But we'll look through the city if you want to give us a tour.

>Thanks for hearing us out, Nissa.
