In ages long past, the Lussurian Empire spanned the known world. The empire's supreme magical might secured the nation's prosperity for centuries. The nation's opulence grew over time and its citizens became increasingly decadent. Corruption spread, misuse of magic skyrocketed, and in time; the whole of The Empire collapsed under its own weight. Civilization vanished.

One thousand years hence, several countries have since sprung from the ashes, magic seen as a dangerous but necessary tool. In recent years, there has been a surge of interest in that fallen empire. Scholars believe that the magic of old may yet be used properly, but lore of those times is all but gone. The ruins of that mighty age still stand, and scholastic fervor has summoned a new profession; the Treasure Hunter.

But the magic of the old empire still lingers in the unexplored ruins, and is dangerous to body and mind.

In more ways than one...

You are Alex von Delceia, Spirit Warden and graduate of The Circle of Rocca. You were born a ritual accident fusing two fraternal twins together into a hermaphrodite form. You with your Sorceress friend, Saturia, decided to travel to the Country of Goruda to make your fortune.

You found a great fortune in a shrine of the fallen Empire, However the ordeal has left you both changed. You were force fed ancient food preserves into an overweight form. However, more pressing is the fact that your friend's bust has been experiencing sporadic growth spurts. You've gone to the country of Yulanda, specifically the town of Riga, to track down your employer, Molla Nosa. She was in possession of an artifact that was the most likely cause of Saturia's growth spurts, an Amber and Gold Statue of The Goddess. The Elf Ranger "Joined" your investigation, if only because your employer was a primary suspect in recent kidnappings. However, It seems Molla Rosa has been kidnapped herself.

You've found the tower of Professor Mallory, The place you believe she is being held. And despite a polite invitation into the tower, your suspicions got the better of you and you decided to scope the place out from hiding, looking for a way to sneak inside.

The area around you is devoid of animal life, like they know to stay away. You're standing a decent ways away from what looks like an overgrown greenhouse, And decide to Create some Fetishes and Talismans Before stepping forth.

You decided to craft The Candle Fairy, Chirurgeon Cherub, and The Hateful Swarm

you think you're safe enough to create more, or you could investigate the green house.

Not quite, but i did have to go to the hospital.

I'll have the next update here in about 2 hours. Gonna try to do a thing where i update the quest at the top of every even hour.

Except of course when i'm asleep or at work. Lately i've been relying too much on the Backup QM to do the QMing too much. its been giving him too much of a workload.

But now that my schedule's freed up and i have a clean bill of health i should be able to lead you guys into the future.

You muster up your party and head closer to the tower, specifically toward the overgrown looking green house. You're not a hundred yards away from it when you can tell that the place had been abandoned. The glass was dirty and the random shrubbery around the glass walls was haphazard and blocking the entrance. There was a beaten path that has fallen to disuse, covered with weeds and creeping vines.

Despite the lack of care the green house had been receiving the plants, as much as you can see of them from the murky glass walls, seem to be thriving. A veritable miniature forest was in there, though you can't tell exactly what kinds of plants are growing within without entering.

You head to the door of the green house and try to open the door. It doesnt quite budge right away, its not locked, but jammed. With a heave you rip open the door, tearing open a small wall of creeping vines that were tying the door closed.

A wave of spores and pollen flow out of the door in a great wave, you peer in. You see a great selection of exotic plants, herbs and fungi that are clearly not native to this land. The air is hot and heavy with the various strong and intermingling odors that threaten to overwhelm your senses. You tighten down on your scarf to try to seal your mouth a bit more, but it wasn't designed to block smells at all.

You step inside the green house was clearly designed to cultivate specific species of plants in a controlled environment. However the environment is decidedly not controlled. The narrow paths that would have separated aisles of plant life are bridged by vines, roots, and stalks of fungus.

"Maybe we can find something of use." You say as you walk into the greenhouse. You stride through the overgrown aisles looking at the various herbs and fungi, admitting their colours and trying extraordinarily hard to remember your herbology lessons at the Circle.

"Oh wow, this place is a treasure trove!" you hear the elf exclaim as you prod a ver odd-looking tree/bush hybrid thing.

"This is a Royal Warish Herb! If you grin these into an incense, your natural stamina and energy will be boosted dramatically, practically doubled!" The elf uproots a bouquet of herbs and stuffs it into a sack, "Oh, and these are Owlshrooms! Eat this and your nightvision goes through the roof."

She spots something else and her eyes go wide, she practically pounces on what looks to be a strange oversized bonsai tree with fruit so large and heavy that it seems to be weighing down the branches.

"Oh man I haven't had one of these since I was at Carnaca. It's an Uagji fruit tree! These things are the most delicious fruit out there and you can live solely off the stuff. They're pretty much impossible to find over here though!"

She reaches out and plucks a plump fruit from the branch and bites into it. Juices squirt from it as she bites and she let's out a squeak of surprise followed by a groan of satisfaction. "Oh gosh, these are even juicier than the ones I had in Carnaca~" She devours the rest of it, the hearty fruit disappearing into her mouth without a trace. She snags a couple more from the plant and stuffs them into her pack, the satchel visibly sagging under the weight of the heavy fruit.

"Mmph~ Oh..." She realizes that she covered with juice and quickly wipes her mouth clean, "Uh yeah, most of this other stuff requires a full Alchemy Lab in order to make good use of."

You nod and continue to look around.

>We interrupt this exploration to bring you an important announcement.

Intrigued by Caladiel's fawning and obvious enjoyment of the fruit she ate, you come closer to give them a look yourself. Fruits and vegetables weren't usually your bag. Lately you've developed quite a hankering for sweets and sugars... but you were always told that a great deal of fruits had natural sugars. You reach out to pluck one more fruit off the branch when you notice the swaying plant leaves to your left. Surely the wind blew them... in this enclosed greenhouse... with no windows... and the door is closed...

Your eyes narrow at the moving plants.

You draw your Estoc and with a mighty hack you slash down your thrusting style sword at the moving shrubbery. You hear something akin to screeching wood as the plants become ambulatory and thrash at you violently. Vine wraps around your thighs, hog tying you then hoisting you up into the air. The vines wrap expertly around your legs and your waist, hugging you tightly. The kind of rope ties that you've only seen in a seedy picture book. Before you get the opportunity to enjoy the thought you're turned upside down, and your own increased bust bops you in the chin, crowding your face.

Blood rushes to your head as you see the others in similar predicaments! You have to escape!

>Your choice
>>
>>1907134
Do we still have our Estoc in hand?
If so, slash at the vine binding our legs.
>>
>>1907134
If Saturia is within reach, we should try to free her first. If our larger bust is bothering us, her much larger busy might be threatening to smother her. Plus she's our oldest friend and a powerful magic user that might be able to deal with the situation more quickly.

>>
>>1907347
>estoc

>>
>>1907453
Well just fucking stab the plant repeatedly then, making one hole next to the other horizontally until the tentacle breaks in half.
>>
>>1907526
>stab the plant in the tentacle that's grappling us
>multiple times in a line accurately while being swung around
>with us hanging upside down with our boobs in our face

Let's just use our spare saber to cut the tentacle instead.
>>
>>1907134
While the Estoc's reach and precision makes it an excellent weapon to use in a one on one fight against another person, against a horrible mass of plant monster that has no discernible anatomy, it's next to useless. Thankfully it's not like you just threw away your saber, it's still there hanging from your belt. You struggle for a few moments, doing things while upside down and smothered by your own boobs is harder than people think, before finally getting a grip and drawing the blade.

You consider trying to free Saturia but with the way everything is swinging around you don't trust yourself not to accidentally cut her instead, better to free yourself first. You manage to keep your cool long enough to take a breath and focus before hacking viciously at the vines connecting you to the mass of plant. The vines around you constrict painfully for a moment but then loosen, falling away from your legs and dropping you with a painful but harmless impact.

As you jump to your feet you feel something soft and ephemeral press against you from behind, arms draping across your shoulders as an airy, echoing, distant voice rings through your ear. "You know, if you're going to go to all that effort to call upon me, you should probably make use of my power."

Oh right, the moth spirit that you've had sort of lingering in your body this whole time, you've become so used to her. You do remember that her ability to form things from light isn't actually just limited to the light of the moon, it's just much more powerful there. You make a mental note of that for the future.

With that presence embracing you, you feel a fresh surge of her power flowing through your body... and you think that maybe you can feel her fluffy boobs pressing against your back as well but you try and put that out of your mind and instead concentrate on being a badass, that plant probably has plenty more vines at its disposal!

You hold your estoc out before you, using its solid metal construction as a framework for you to build your blade from, having a focus always makes magic easier and this meant having to form less material as well. Light is drawn into the blade, swirling around it and slowly solidifying into a huge, surprisingly lightweight blade. You give it a tentative swing and then realise you're really going to want to two-hand this in order to keep it under control, pouring a little more mana into it to extend the handle.

>You spend 1 MP to form the Moonlight Greatsword
> 5/12 MP Remaining

You heft the blade and it easily slices through the tendrils suspending your allies, the magical weapon leaving glittering arcs of light behind it. Saturia hits the ground in a graceless heap while Caladiel twists in the air and lands on her feet, quickly drawing a pair of daggers from her belt to fend off any further attackers.

While your teammates recover, you decide that you're going to go all out and start whacking some weeds, sure there's probably rare plants or whatever that you're going to end up ruining but you can't kill a giant horrible vine monsters without breaking a few greenhouses. You look towards what seems to be the greatest mass of animated plant as it sends forth a fresh slew of great writhing vines, these ones wrapped in vicious looking thorns.

You raise your sword and bring it down in a heavy overhead swing, going to chop straight through all these vines before they can reach you, and you are incredibly surprised when an enormous flash of light erupts from the blade. A huge wave of condensed, magically infused light cuts through the air and smashes straight into the plant monster, not only slicing through it but hitting the far wall of the greenhouse and detonating in a shower of glass, stone, and splintered wood.

For a moment you can see the inside of the shattered planter that the monstrous floral guardian was embedded in, and you catch a glimpse of what looks disturbingly like a human skull amongst the soil. Your train of thought is interrupted as the injured, near-bisected plant monster lets out a horrible, high pitched shrieking noise. Its tendrils flail, lashing out in all directions, only Caladiel's quick knife work preventing one from whipping around behind you and tearing into you with its barbed limbs.

The tendrils smash aside plants, shatter windows and in throes of agony they coil themselves around the supports of the structure. You see wooden supports begin to buckle and hear the groaning of the overtaxed greenhouse and you feel absolutely certain that this bastard is going to tear the building apart in its death throes. You take in your surroundings, you're pretty far from the door and there's a lot of stuff in the way, but you think you stand a chance of escape. On the other hand you and Saturia could use your magic to try and create a dome or something, but if it doesn't hold up then you're going to get seriously injured.

Whatever you're going to do, you have to do it fast.

I just remembered we can make armor out of the moth's moonlight. Could we make like video related and make a really big tower shield to physically block the rubble, then use a magic dome to shove it aside?

A shard of thick glass like a great sharp dagger embeds itself in the soil scant inches away from you and you decide that whatever secrets this place might hold or whatever cool plants are around, that shit isn't worth it. You call Saturia and Caladiel to your side who form up next to you as you raise your moonlight sword and begin to channel your magic through it. You've already manifested the necessarily magical light, you just need to reshape it, so with an effort of will you flatten and expand it out until it becomes a great convex shield large enough to cover all of you. A large chunk of wood bounces off it with a reverberating, gong-like noise and you all run for the door.

As you approach, those curling tendrils crush the door and the roof above it, suddenly cutting off your escape altogether with a large pile of stone, timber and glass. You're about to stop and try to find another escape but Saturia calls for you to keep going as she begins to visibly channel her magic, coils of aethetic energy swirling around her arms before she thrusts them forwards. There's a great flash of light before a miniature hurricane blasts through the greenhouse, the vacuum of the air nearly pulling you over the blast of wind magic blasts the pile of rubble out of the way, scattering it across a fifty foot cone.

The force of the blast causes the structural integrity of the building fail even faster, the shield above you continuously reverberating with a continuous resonant sound of falling debris. You all run like you never have before, diving out of the door moments before the entire structure collapses and all the priceless exotic plants are turned into mulch. For a panicked moment you fear that you're going to hit a great big pile of broken glass, but Saturia creates a cushion of air to make sure that you land on your feet.

You lean forwards, hands on your knees as you gasp for breath, Saturia looking pretty out of breath as well. Caladiel of course looks fine, if a little shaken, picking little bits of wood out of her hair.

"Wow Saturia, that was some pretty fast casting there."

"Thanks, good idea with the shield."

"Is everyone all right? Anyone hurt?"

They both shake their heads, seems like you managed to get out unscathed, and you got a whole bunch of rare and useful plants out of it. Before you can figure out what to do next however, the collapsed building suddenly seems to collapse even further. There's a loud roar as a big section of the ground seems to give way beneath the greenhouse. As the dust clears you can see through the rubble what seems to be a large tunnel, it seems there was a secret entrance to the tower under here after all!
