Welcome back, everyone, to the ninety-eigth installment of Mecha Space Pirate Quest. I'm Wong, your host, and you are still, for now, Pirate King Roarke Susan Starwind I, Overlord of Phaeton, Protector of the Belt, and Supreme Commander of the Iron Kestrels Space Pirate Fleet.

Previous Threads: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Mecha+Space+Pirate+Quest%2C+Collective+Game%2C+mecha

You might wonder why this thread is here, the game was supposed to be tomorrow. Well, yes, that's correct, but we have a very important vote and this way people can vote early and the game tomorrow will only be delayed a little instead of a lot for voting. The current situation is as follows.

Pale Slayer Meridian, cyborg, renegade, psychopath, and member of the Five Man Band, infiltrated the setting of a summit for the junior partners of the Solar System League, and used his disguise as a low-ranking government clerk to separate Karen from the rest of the Iron Kestrels in a mechbay of the Jovian Academy. There, he slaughtered the other technicians present and kidnapped your wife. She is currently slung over his left shoulder, while in his right hand he holds a mono-knife that he has shown a remarkable capability for cutting people to pieces with. Unfortunately, his getaway hasn't been clean. Although Captain Oda failed in his ambush attack, Meridian is still surrounded on three sides by a mixture of Phaeton and Jovian soldiers with his back to a mech...which is where you come in. He's called you using Karen's PC, and is demanding you call off your troops and allow him to escape, unhindered, with his hostage. Although it's fairly clear from context that he needs her alive, he's threatened to maim her grievously if he isn't indulged. How will you deal with this?

Please note that once you vote you cannot change your vote, so only vote once you are SURE of your vote. There's no shame in asking questions beforehand and arguing it out with other players if necessary. To be valid, all votes MUST respond to this post. If you choose not to cooperate, you will have the chance to come up with an alternate strategy.

God dammit that image destroyed my sides.

>[Do Not Cooperate]

If he hurts her we will show him true hell.
>>
>>1926642
Heya Wong.

Do you think you could help lay out the Pros and Cons of each situation? So far, I've got:

Option 1:Let Him Go
-Pros:
>Karen Survives in one piece

-Cons:
>Handing Karen over to Meridian's mercies
>Playing into the 5MB's plan

Option 2: Refuse
Pros:
>Foils the 5MB's plan
>MIGHT kill Meridian (very unlikely)

Cons:
>MIGHT Kill or Maim Karen (pretty likely)

There's probably more.
>>
>>1926642
Fuckin cooperate. We take hostages all the time. Be cool guy's.
>>
>>1926642
>[Do Not Cooperate]
I just don't trust him.
>>1926708
Roarke isn't known for murderizing everything though
>>
Guy's, we should probably analyze the situation more before making a decision.

Additionally, if you choose not to cooperate, outline an alternative plan.
>>
>>1926729
>outline an alternative plan

We go five man hunting that's the plan.
>>
I never liked hostage situations. Having a hostage doesn't really work, you need them alive to keep you alive if you're surrounded, and Meridian doesn't seem like the type who wants to die so he just straight up can't kill her or he will 100% die here. Same thing with every hostage situation. Harming his only bargaining chip voids his life. I wish he had thought this out better and had a surefire way to escape or at least some other trump card. Most people would say that's railroady but man I hate seeing how acidic some people can be when they argue points.

Meridian is lucky Roarke isn't a sociopath otherwise he'd tell Moe to just take the shot and hope for the best.

Course we can't shoot down Meridian or else he'd kill Karen out of spite, even if we had Moe blow his arm off (the one with the knife, not holding Karen, because for obvious reasons that would kill her) he could just crush her on his shoulder with the arm holding her. Not to mention shooting close enough to blow his arm off but far enough away that any heat bleeding off doesn't just melt Karen would be one crazy fucking shot.

It's just a bad situation because regardless of what we choose the likelihood of a 100% good end is very, very slim. I'm talking XCOM levels of slim.
>>
>>1926704

I honestly don't trust myself to, I came down pretty hard supporting one side last thread and realized that there were good arguments for the other side too and possibly even a few ways out of it.
>>
>>1926736
I mean the plan to get Karen out of Meridian's hands.

We're going hunting regardless.
>>
>>1926755
Guess then retreat with our men and use Sam's cloak to either follow it or snatch a trap once he escapes?
>>
>>1926752
That's fair.

Do you think you could outline all the Significant Characters present at the scene and the number of troops facing Meridian?
>>
>>1926768

That you know of? Mohammed and Oda. Clemmy and Fatima are in their mecha hovering outside the mechbay. As for the number of troops? I don't remember if I named a specific amount, but at least three or four dozen. Enough that it would be difficult for all of them to shoot him at once, but by the same token enough that he...despite making it VERY clear he wanted to fight YOU...wasn't willing to fight you HERE surrounded by soldiers (that might be one of those ways out I mentioned) who would simply shoot him to death if he killed you.
>>
>>1926811
Wait, is the way to give him a one on one duel with no soldiers around?
>>
>>1926642
>[Cooperate]

hope I'm not too late, I thought this was running Tuesday.
>>
>>1926736
A good way to come up with an alternate plan is to list all the possible known strengths and weaknesses of Meridian.

I know very little of them but as far as I can tell:
>STRENGTH?
Mostly cybernetic, most chemical/biological toxins will not work on him.
Tremendous physical power and dexterity
Likely a good pilot and a terror with swords and knives
Armor is probably well protected against gunfire
Some kind of electrical protection?

>WEAKNESS?
(Probably) isn't faster than a bullet
Needs Karen alive
Total psychopath, maybe his neurological issues can be exploited
Wants to stay alive, does not want this to be a suicide misison
We know where he is going and can possibly intercept him in more favorable circumstances (although I doubt him being in a mech with her counts as more favorable.)

If you know anymore, shout them out.
>>
>>1926811
Then tell him we fight in a area with no one else.
>>
>>1926873
Then Void Fist his butt hole so hard, his descendants will feel it. Damn him for scaring Grapple-Chan's mom.
>>
>>1926642
>>[Cooperate]

Thanks for putting this up early wong.
>>
>>1926873
I voted for cooperate but what if we get him transported to a different arena. Directly away from anywhere.

No one there except a single shuttle, which he can put Karen in so that no one can destroy it and let him get away. And then we fight him there.

Of course, it gives samantha time to get into her mech and cloak up, ready to scoop up the shuttle as and when required.
>>
>>1926811
Unrelated question, but how old are Fairchild and Hatshepsut and how much older than Fairchild was Roarke's mom?
>>
>>1926642
>>[Do Not Cooperate]
Just shoot the fucker in the head.
>>
>>1927005

Gonna have to be a bit more specific.
>>
>>1927040
>Take a gun, preferably a high powered rifle
>Aim at his head
>Pull the trigger
Don't even announce that were doing it, just have one of the over 50 odd soldiers surrounding him just pop him right in the fucking eye.

Is that specific enough for you buddy?
>>
>>1927080
Presumably only Oda, Moe and Akai have weapons capable of being a threat to him. Oda because his sword is dope as fuck, Moe because he's got essentially and AT rifle (it's a laser but hey), and Akai because literally a rocket launcher.

The only thing Meridian seemed to really worry about was Moe's gun however. And to counter that he needs to just turn a little bit so Karen obscures his face.
>>
>>1926642
fuck hostage situations, kill him by ripping his damn head off, make a point not to fuck with roarke, this is contrived bullshit and only incentivizes these shitmongers to continue to do this shit, which they will, and you will all stand in the corner like a pack of retards while they get their way blowing the entirety of phaeton to hell.
>>
>>1927080
Elaborate on who will do the shooting, how we get the person into position, and, above all, how we do this before Meridian notices and maims Karen.

Think the entire situation through ya dummy.
>>
>>1926642
>>[Do Not Cooperate]

>>
>>1927093

>>1927199

>>
>>1926642
>[Do Not Cooperate]

> Give our word we'll 1v1 him.

We built our nation on the strength of our fists, but also our honour. That's why we're King. We aren't a politician or a Corp executive. Our Nation is only as solid as our Word.

We have recent proof with our duel with Cabot.

Also we totally think we can take him.
>>
>>1927511
Honestly he would do it for us. I wouldn't even be bothered by it.
>>
>>1927511
A roll of duct tape, a string with a key tied on the end and a couple cases of vodka for our men and that won't be an issue.
>>
>>1927511
Considering the alternatives, i don't think that Roarke would protest.
>>
>>1927511
Honestly I would trust him to make the shot. I may dislike him but he is a good shot.
>>
>>1927511
This is fine.

I do not trust his personal beliefs. I trust is his absolute belief in his shooting skills.
>>
>>1927511
... I am okay with this.
>>
>>1927571
>inb4 Jesus claims Meridian is just a poor helpless junkie who needs professional help and therapy and refuses to shoot him dead
>>
>>1927653
strangely enough, I think this is one of the cases were he wouldn't hesitate, or go full sjw didn du nuffin
>>
>>1927653
nah dude, keith for being a super asshole high on his shit understands you don't go after someones girl. especially since we are technically legitimate now and this jackass is a pirate. since keith is lawful dumbass and this guy is clearly braking the law hes not gonna feel bad about shooting the guy. now it would be a different story if we weren't the head of a nation that was allied with his nation and just a desperado pirate like we were for a fair portion of the quest. its all a matter of legal standing with him.
>>
So, barring any unforeseen snafus, I think I've worked out Fatima's weapons.

The big 18K main gun is getting bumped up to have a Hex-wide radius like Mohammed's beam blunderbusses, meaning it can hit everything along its route and in the hexes on either side of that route. OR I'll give it +3 Accuracy. Comment on this to help me decide.

Meanwhile, the 4K 360-degrees cannon spread just isn't working out, so it, too, is being upgraded. What I have now is a 10K cannon battery that's also an anti-missile system, to stop Pumpkinseed IIs with their heavy missiles from just breaching the defensive screen. If I go with +3 WA on the big cannon instead of +1, I might make the backup cannon 5K and give it a Hex-wide radius instead.

Comment with your thoughts!
>>
>>1927998

For the Mega Particle Accelerator, Fatima's big gun, I could also give it Burst 2 instead of Wide-Angle (Hex). Again, comment with your thoughts.
>>
>>1927998
> One vote for the Thunderbluss
>>
>>1928007
Depends on whether you want it to be more effective against single targets or to hit whole groups. Though I don't think you can pick and choose what targets a Wide-Angle weapon hits, so you can't precisely aim with it. Friendly fire would be a possibility.

In the hangar we also have James(With his battoujutsu katana) and Akai(with a rocket laucher)
And 3 dozens of mooks(UJCIDF, Kestrels and Storm Dragons).

Also... If it isn't a problem, I have a few question I wanted to ask you Wong about micromanaging stuff later, I had too much free time in my hands this weekends and started sorting data about our troops and production powers from what you said in the last threads, I even figured out a minimum of production capacity for Psyche-16 if we're using the mecha production rules of the book(Which you mentioned a few threads ago while I were away).

But if I'm just beging autistic just tell me so.

I also kinda made a Mecha Pool pastebin with the data I gathered from our threads since the Psyche-16 takeover to make things easier for you to account for when making the update Master Pastebin... I'll show you later if you're interested.
>>
>>1927998
I feel the main cannon should be accurate in order to minimize the risk of friendly fire.
>>
>>1927511
Hey Wong, what about that grenades he put on his pockets? What do we know about them? Would they kill everyone in the hangar if hit?

Also... Battoujutsu is a really OP thing as far as I know, how good exactly is James with it? Can he behead someone before they have time to react?

I found a interesting free mech roguelike. It plays and controls like most every other roguelike but you can also pilot and fight other mechs. If you have the right skill you can even customize them with weapons and other parts like sensors or hoverjets.
Protip: pressing lowercase h shows you the controls. Took me forever to figure that out.

https://github.com/jwvhewitt/gearhead-1/releases/tag/v1.302

There's also this second one that the dev's still working on. Haven't played it yet though.

You know, I didn't vote yet, I'm waiting someone from any side make a good plan before giving my vote.
Usually, though, I would cooperate in this sort of situation... But after the circlets and god knows what else people in this universe have in their torture instruments cabinets... It would be metagaming to considerate that a know psychopath with plenty resources isn't lying to you while planning to transform your waifu into part of the sybil system while you're not around... Just look what Galbadie did to those women, and he wasn't even as rich and equiped with Avalonian technology as those guys are!(Assuming that Roarke at least know about their Teslas from Samantha.)
And to be fair, the best plan hatched until now was either challenge him to 1 vs 1 cqc or to headshot him with something that could really kill him.
While the cooperatiom team can just hope for the best.

>>1929772
Stall him. Try to get him into the duel.

>>1929790

The conditions for the duel were that there was no one available to shoot him.

So we can propose the duel in an isolated outpost of this academy, with a single shuttle present and Roarke with the key to its ignition.
>>
>>1929794
>Oh, we'll get our duel, but not in these circumstances, not here where I'll get drowned in bullets by your crewmates the moment I take your head off your shoulders. California Station, Starwind. That's where it began, and that's where it's going to end
He said not where our men would kill us if he won. AKA, not on a station filled with our men like the one we're on now.

>>1929798

>>1929801

The fact that we're agreeing to the duel / appear that we're trying to get him to duel here and now.

It shows that we place Karen's life in great importance and we'd not open fire. Roarkes inner circle is unlikely to kill his widow.

See >>1926811
>he...despite making it VERY clear he wanted to fight YOU...wasn't willing to fight you HERE surrounded by soldiers (that might be one of those ways out I mentioned) who would simply shoot him to death if he killed you.

We need to arrange for an immediate situation where Roarke and Meridian can have their duel without outside interference and to make sure that Karen is left out of it.
>>
>>1929801
Because presumably Karen will be in there with him.
>>
>>1929755
Ehhhh... Probably Thunder isn't the only one getting pissed by it, even Wong must be tired of blogpost shenanigans at this point.
>>
It's a difficult, difficult decision...but you know the odds of getting her back even if you pay a ransom. Not high enough for your liking, certainly. Especially since you doubt this is even about a ransom, there are only two reasons to want Karen. First, for her talent with machines, and secondly to get to you. You're not sure which is worse.

“I'm not sure I should. If you're that sort of person, I have no guarantee of her well-being in your custody. Any threats you make here, you could carry out somewhere my troops can't...how did you say it? Drown you in bullets?” You walk out of the room where the other SSL members are, brushing off Rudolph Merrow's attempt to say something. Normally, you never would have done that, but right now.

“I wish I could, Starwind. Unfortunately, this isn't just about me. My boss wants to meet her. I'm hoping you give me a reason to hurt her, believe me, but if there isn't one...well...I'm less willing to cross him than I am to cross you.” Meridian sounds serious, at least, “There's nothing I value enough to swear by, so I'll just swear. You let me go, with her, and she'll be on California station unharmed. Physically and mentally. After all, if her mind's not intact, she's not good for anything. You've got wives with better everything else, right?” That has to be the least funny joke you've ever heard.

You examine a holomap of the academy, and swear at the realization that you can't just punch your way to him. Your face is red, you can feel it. A vein is throbbing in your temple, and your breath is harsh and raw. For one thing, because you don't believe him. You know Karen, you know she won't cooperate if she thinks it could hurt the crew that has raised her as a family. You know he'll have to hurt her to get what he wants.

Rudolph Merrow is walking alongside you, bringing up a dozen holoscreens on his PC that show security footage of the mechbay, and it confirms your guess. Those bodies, just discarded, scattered along Meridian's path. You wonder if he's even aware of how much blood he has on him.

“...You're not going to do it?” He laughs at you. He just up and laughs at you, “You're not going to do it, are you! You'll give me an excuse to cut her like a stuck pig rather than lower yourself at all! You pretentious, arrogant son of a bitch!” He laughs, loud and wild and mad.

“Don't get this twisted. The only reason I'm hesitating is because she's too precious for me to take chances with. However, rest assured of this, none of my people are going to touch you. Your head is mine.” You state solemnly, “Stay where you are, I'm not doing this over comms.”

“You don't have a choice.” He states plainly.

You laugh at him, as harsh as a saw through dry wood, “Which of us is closer to death, Meridian? You or me? You may have me by the heart but I've got you by the throat.”

“Do you think I'm scared of you, Starwind?” His voice is a dreadful rasp, too, “You're nothing but a human. A weak, fleshy human. You might know a few tricks, but you're made of meat and bone, with a thousand built-in fears and limitations, one of which I'm holding. I know you're coming here, I know you're thinking you'll prove yourself by putting on the same show you've put for every other human you've faced. It's your nature. At heart, we're both thugs out to prove how strong we are.”

“If you tell me we're the same, I'll...well, it doesn't matter, I'm on my way to kill you, anyway.” You inform him as politely as you can. You make a PC-calling gesture at Samantha with your thumb and pinky extended parallel to your jaw, then beckon to her. She hands you her PC, and you thumb open a text program, writing the word SNIPER, followed by a question mark, and showing it to Merrow.

The War Marshall actually looks surprised, which is perversely gratifying to you. He falls back, and begins skimming through what looks like a personnel list.

You spot Ivan Fletcher, the senior Bucephalus representative, hovering nearby, trying not to look interested. You erase the message for Merrow, and write SCHEMATICS. You show him the word.

The senior mechanic shakes his head vigorously with an innocent shrug.

You draw a fist.

He sighs, and brings out his PC, bringing up a clearly encoded file. He opens a text window and types out ARMORED. ALMOST ENTIRELY.

You point at the drawing of the fist.

THE FACE. HE HAS A VACCUUM MASK, APPROPRIATELY ARMORED, BUT HE ISN'T WEARING IT. ON ALL OTHER SIDES, THE SKULL IS LAMINATED WITH PROPRIETARY ALLOYS FOR INHUMAN DURABILITY. YOU HAVE TO HIT HIM FROM STRAIGHT ON. You see Fletcher's face twist with distaste at having to admit it.

“Sure you are. Just remember, one twitch from your men...and I start cutting her.” With that, Meridian hangs up.

Merrow selects a number, and makes a call, “Ensign, I'm glad to see you back. Your country needs you.” He ducks away into another room to make the call.

“Now remember, viewing that file at all is implicit signature of a non-disclosure contract regarding company secrets of Bucepha-” You shut Ivan up by putting a hand over his face and shoving him away. You don't trust him nearly as far as you could throw him.

You make your way to a lift, and hit the button. You have a fight waiting for you.

Yeah but the void fist adds additional kills on top of the damage you would normally do. So Roarke would punch through 25 hits with one luck and then his normal damage would pile in on it so it'd essentially feel to Meridian like he was just a normal fleshbag again when the fist connected.

Unless I misinterpreted the whole thing which is possible and likely.

With our collective 12 Luck and Maneuver, we could spend 2 on Void Fist to be sure to kill him if we hit, and have +10 on the attack. Meridian's dodge roll is +19, does anyone know what Roarke's attack bonus is?

>>

So at worst we can have a +27 against his +19. At best he'd need to use his own luck/maneuver to even be able to dodge. We could even be cheeky and move behind him if you can do that in human scale, I haven't bothered learning it.

Does anyone have a better strategy than just trying for the instagib? I just don't want him to be able to attack more than once. At all, if we win initiative.

Honestly all we need to do is get Karen away from him. Then fuck him. If he agrees to the duel thing then we go in and just throw some grenades at him. We should definitely get some grenades.

Judging who he's based on removing a limb or two won't really stop him from stabbing the shit out of us, so instagibbing really is the safest option.

You walk into the mechbay feeling as though you should be a dozen feet tall and wreathed in thunder. Your fists keep clenching, then relaxing, whether you will them to or not, dragging your callused knuckles over the hem of your surprisingly well-armored jacket's sleeves. You part the crowd more by presence than any physical gesture.

There's silence. A cold, hushed silence, as you lift up your arm, “Everyone else, get out.”

“But sir...” One of the Kestrels protests.

“No. This is how we're doing this. Anyone still standing here ten seconds from now, I'll kill myself.” You crack your knuckles, glancing up at the mech behind Meridian. It resembles the King Swordfish, a bit, with four huge wings or shields. “So, Meridian...”

Does Meridian have a dick still or did he get it lopped off for a shiny codpiece? Disregarding that you don't need a codpiece if you don't have any boys to protect. Hell did his junk ever even get used before he got turned into the sixteen dollar man? He's so angsty it's like a woman repelling force field. With a face like that he could probably pick up a few of the more adventurous men though if he wanted. Wait does he even have a digestive system or does he kind of just swap nutrient fluids in his veins or some shit? His body is so confusing.

>So, how does it feels to have things end like this? Is this what you dreamt you from the begining? From the point you throw away your humanity and the true potential of your humanity for some petty unhuman limited power? Is that how you thought that reigning in hell would end? With both of us alone in an hangar, and you seeing the ghost of the lifepath of ascension you abadoned wrecking you limb from limb like a porcein doll on a pile of garbage that is being flatened by a roadroller? You can ramble as much as you want about your power and superiority, but in the end your very face is facade created by the same things you despise and dismiss as under yourself, born already under the superior and unlimited potentials of the human nature, the only thing true in your name is the pale part, as you pale in comparison to everyone shard of divine that you lack for selling yourself to this path of madness and hate. You are no real slayer, only men can commit real murder against their race and their equals, and to me and to everyone else who can look you in the eyes without fear its absolutely clear that you give up on being one long ago, and only a hurt and mad frenzied beast remains, and I cannot allow it to go a rampage anymore. No need to thank me for having mercy by putting you down, the unmade remains of your body squashed against the ground will make me happy enough.

> You've already fucked up enough to know you're not getting out of here with Karen. You could have made a deal to walk yourself, I care more about her life than your death. But you can't do that, can you. Because if you admit that you aren't the scariest thing out there, that you aren't really some post-human superior existence, then it would mean facing up to the fact that you are an expensive paperweight. Can't live in society. Can't even feed off it like a predator without having your backer protect you. Which he probably won't do much longer since you fucked this up so bad already. Do you think he's the type to let you leave a trail back to him like a piece of goldfish poop?

> So why don't you come down here and face me. Or are you scared to find out that all your attempts to get away from your humanity were doomed to fail because that fatal flaw wasn't your humanity, your flesh or fears, but you yourself. I bet you want so badly to believe that I will "cheat" and that you can then claim you didn't really lose. That it wasn't your fault you weren't man enough for the job, or machine enough.

> You should have been me instead. What do you have? A reputation so weak that you're hiding behind a non-combatant? I have a nation, 5 wives, a kingdom, and a reputation just as solid and much nicer than yours. You can't say I didn't earn it the hard way either.

I've stoped making too much detailed action plans for episodic situations like this exactly due to the fact that they tend to develop in unexpected ways most of the time.

But yeah, Wong ia amazing to the point of making we spent off-time from the quest thinking at leght about this and feels like almost having a heart attack everytime there unusual risks involved.

I still remember Psyche-16 and the multi-layer tension that hit us there everytime something didn't go as planned... What happened again and again and again... And the sense of relief when Roarke and Cesar tore away the problems in their paths to get what they wanted... Just in time to have NOT!KIRITO blitz through everyone and break our heart by taking Naomi away.
>>
While Wong is away: What do you guys expect to face in Dwarkin? They are allied with the Avalonians and have technology from the war... So what should we expect of their machines?

I think that they probably have some kind of upgraded Bluegills as a main force(as Bluegills were the most common mech of the war era) with a new line of some sort of heavy striker being almost as common.

For their weapons I'm expecting some kind of 6K ranged weapon and a 9K~10K melee weapon, probably the usual shields, and acess to Heavy Missile weaponry from both units.
Maybe they have beam weapons, but I don't know if they mass produce it. I also think that we're probably going to be at advantage in terms of speed with our rocs, but who knows if that is going to make much of a diference.
>>
>>1929860
Oh, other than Dio, who is confirmed for the second gen game? I remember that we had a strong candidate for Sam's child, but I don't recall who that was.

Bluegills that combine into bigger mechs.

Bara wolf men packs that are MANLY GAY to deal with being cucked by the Alpha who is also gay because they were all made to be that way hormonally, and living a life in hell being forced to service all the women.

A fully automatic luxury gay space communist factory that cranks out said modular bluegills.

Fricken Space Sharks with Fricken Laser Beams that the Bara Wolf Packs hunt and are hunted by, sailing solar light sails in the shattered belt ring of what was once their main planet before it was shattered in the war by Mars (using a superweapon provided by Earth).

So yeah gay commie muscle werewolves that have wildly disparate technological and production capabilities that are Tsundere for Mars and for once realize that Earth must have been behind the destruction of their planet because Mars wouldn't have the weapon to do that and not spammed it like they were child suicide bombers on a playground.

I'm here.

I wonder if we could offer him one last chance to walk away. We're good for our word, as we've proven many times before. He could just leave Karen and write it off as a failed attempt.

And if his employer is going to kill him if he fails, he could always join us instead. We have a bunch of pirates working under us already, it's not like he can't redeem himself. Dude doesn't have to try so hard to be a monster all the time.

Or we can fix his head problems with our fist.

“And if I die...anyone who kills him after my death shall also be put to death, prior to his leaving here and arriving at California Station. Tell my wives I love them.” You instruct your retreating troops.

“We can't do that, sir.” One of the Jovian sergeants protests, only to have Moe roughly grab one arm and shake his head.

“Do as he says. He's very serious.” The Martian instructs, “I know the signs. Just...go.”

“Leave your sword.” Meridian instructs, and the Sergeant hesitates only a moment before tossing his fine mono-saber to the floor. Meridian smirks.

You watch the soldiers leave in good order, keeping the direction of the mechbay in your head as straight as possible. Somewhere, a sniper is being lowered into position from the rafters, near a heat vent to disguise his thermal signature.

You have to turn Meridian in that direction. Slow exhale, deep inhale, and then you speak. “You won't be able to beat me with one hand.” You look pointedly at Karen.

“You won't be able to run from me carrying her.” He replies, and tosses her to the floor. She makes a muffled groaning noise, “You're not fast enough to run from me at all, with those inefficient legs.” He picks up the mono-saber, tosses the scabbard aside, and throws away the knife, “Now this, this is suitable for dealing with you.”

You shake your head and settle back into a stance, “I thought the Five Man Band consisted of a group of pirate captains, I see I was wrong. You're just a lackey for someone, a dog sent out on another's bidding. Do you realize how ridiculous it is to call yourself my rival?”

“You don't know the greatness of the man I serve. You're just a pilot, a soldier, a conquerer...he has built the foundation for a new galactic order here, in the Belt. Five Man Band is only the beginning.” Meridian hooks the tip of his new blade into his robes, and slices them clean off. Beneath, he seems to be all artificial, apart from his face, like some impressionist's version of a human sculpted from black-tinted alloys and polymers.

“As I said, you're just a servant. You've knelt. Do you think I don't know your type? I've known more of them than I can count. Weaklings who've traded everything for power. The greatest sign of it is how much you exult in it. Why? Because you need to persuade yourself it was worth it. I've got news for you, though, it wasn't enough. Even if your arms aren't as short as they were this morning, they're not long enough to box with me. You're pathetic, Meridian. All of this pride in your artificial body, and yet you can't act openly. You sneak around in the shadows, in disguise, because on some level you know how weak you still are.” You shake your head sorrowfully. “It makes you predictable. Of course you couldn't take a deal to just walk out of here alive...because that would mean admitting what was done to you didn't make you the strongest, scariest thing on two legs, wouldn't it?”

“Aren't you going to put on your gloves?” He asks. “Do it, Starwind, because right now, I don't think I've ever wanted to kill something more than I want to kill you.

“Struck a nerve, didn't I?” You smile grimly, “I'm going to kill you with my bare hands. Haven't you realized that everyone who's made themselves my enemy is dead or ruined? The Green Skulls are dead to the last man, and their children won't honor their memories. Rashad Abujamal is a crater in the Martian desert, and everyone who knew him is disgraced for it. Bethany Cabot, who killed my brother, was ground into slurry, bits of hair, flesh, and bone too tenderized to bury. Hermione Fairchild watched every one of her schemes burn to the ground, lost everything she cared about and wanted, even her looks and the ability to use her hands is gone, her inevitable trial and execution will almost be a mercy and you...you went and tried to kidnap my wife. You stupid son of a bitch.”

“All of your enemies but ONE.” He settles back into a stance, “Enough talking, come at me!”

“I'd say that's a ballsy remark, but I'm not sure you still have those.” You grin at the look of dismay and rage on his face, “You don't, do you? They didn't even let you keep your balls, did they? You're a eunuch, aren't you? A eunuch who can't measure up. Everything you are is a farce, you nutless sack of bolts.” You brace yourself as he does just what you expected at that remark, he charges with a scream of rage.

Which is just what you wanted. Naturally, he draws his arms back to swing at you, but as you do, you've already ducked beneath the angle of his blow. He must have seen the glint of the sniper's scope down the hallway, you could swear it in the brief flash you get of his eyes...but you never planned to rely on the Jovian sniper. He has orders not to fire unless you die, anyway.

Meridian threatened your wife and killed a number of people under your indirect protection. His manner of death was foretold the moment he did that.

You're behind him in an orange streak, your hair whipping in the breeze of your passage as you swing your fist. It's not the most elegant or cinematic punch, but it's a kind you've found a lot of use for over the years, hammering someone's kidneys with your knuckles. Meridian turns, and you can see his shoulder twist at an inhuman, impossible angle as he goes to parry from a spot where that should be impossible...but it's not good enough. You can't call what you did making a vow, it's not that refined, but on a primal level you decided that this was Pale Slayer Meridian's last day.

The blow feels more controlled this time than it ever has before, and still so gentle, almost effortless. Reducing the Five Man Band to Four feels like flicking over a house of cards with your fingertip. You punch him, and he flies apart like shattered glass. Pieces of metal, polymer, and the rare bit of flesh or organ paint the mechbay wall with various interesting shades, flying at dozens of angles...and one, you go to catch out of the air, only to have the spray of fluids from what were Pale Slayer Meridian's limbs make your grip slippery.

You accidentally drop the head and upper vertebrae of Meridian face-down onto what remains of his body. You shrug, not particularly worried about that slip.

You hear a snort of laughter, and look over to see Karen awkwardly sitting up, her hair in her eyes and a dorky smile on her face, “You looked so pleased with yourself, and then when you dropped it your nose just...wrinkled and then you tried really hard to look like you didn't care. You...you goof...” She sways a little, pressing a palm to her forehead with a groan.

You laugh, you laugh like a goddamn maniac for a good, long time.

She just stares at you, unsurprised, then snorts and starts laughing too, covering her face with her hands. Hers isn't the prettiest laugh, it's dorky, a bit nasally, the kind of laugh one would expect from her, but it's sincere and heartfelt and sweet. “I...I never thought I'd need to practice catching cyborg heads.” You splutter at last, taking your shades off to wipe your eyes.

“G-given everything else, I can't deduct points from my rescue for that.” She sniffles, wiping her own eyes and cleaning her glasses on her cheongsam front.

“Don't worry, I'll get at least four more tries at doing this better.” You reply.

“So long as I don't have to go through that again.” She sways a little, trying to crawl over to you, “Not four more times, not one more time.”

“Hold on.” You scoop her up in your arms, one beneath her shoulders and the other beneath her knees in the so-called princess carry. “Rest a bit longer. It's okay, you can go back to sleep. I'm going to find the best doctor here to figure out what you were injected with.”

She shakes her head, “It's weird. I expected to be knocked out.”

You pause, “You mean you weren't?”

She shrugs, “Several minutes of intense euphoria, and I still feel like I'm riding on a cloud instead of walking...”

“Being carried.” You remark.

“Oh, really?” She shrugs, “That's the other effect, then. Moji. I think this was a shot of mild painkillers and moji.”

“Moji?” You frown.

She nods, “Chemically induced optimism and a sense of well-being, moji is a spectrum, not one particular hit of emotion. I was convinced that if I just stayed still and pretended to be out, I'd get the chance to make a run for it or grab one of his weapons or...”

“Karen!” Your voice comes out extremely sharp, “If that's the case, why didn't you do it when he put you down?”

She smiles and opens her hand, revealing two small, blue pellets, “Because I pickpocketed him and got these. I should have been terrified, but with the moji, it seemed like a good idea to make preparations to maybe turn this hostage situation into a standoff. After he dropped me, though, I realized something. If he got you...I couldn't live with myself, and I couldn't let him live. There was no point in running, and it would have distracted you.”

You sigh heavily. You wish she wouldn't think that way, but you're not sure it would be fair for you to criticize her on that particular point. So instead, you just kiss her for a while.

You pass by Ensign Keith Young in the hallway. He's standing there, a huge plasma rifle in the crook of his elbow, with some kind of clamp on it for securing to a surface for sniping. He's removing a detachable harness from over his uniform. You don't have a hand free to shake his, but you comment as you walk by, “Well done. This is twice now I have to thank you, Ensign.” You're honestly impressed he held his fire.

He salutes, “Who would have thought such events would come to pass?” He regards the splattered remains of Meridian with faintly sad eyes, “I'm glad I didn't have to kill anyone today, but...”

“But nothing, it's a reasonable attitude to have.” You admit, “The last war cost us more than half the total population, it's the wrong era to be excited about slaughter. Killing when you have to is one thing, killing indiscriminately is quite something else.”

“Just as Saul had many chances to cease his persecution of David, yet persisted and was undone.” Keith remarks sadly.

“Sure.” You nod, “Just, um, like that.”

“By the way, it's technically Lieutenant, I'm in the pipeline for a promotion, but...I don't know. Nothing is predictable from here.” He sighs, seeming unusually downcast.

“That's how life is. Put a shield or some sort of defensive measures on your mech, that's about all you can do.” You don't really have time for this. “Could you grab Meridian's head for me?”

“What?” He stares at you, flabbergasted.

“His head and the top few vertebrae of his neck, technically. There was a bounty on him, I'm collecting.”

The lift chimes, and a small gaggle of guards, Rudolph Merrow, and Ivan Fletcher come pouring in. Fletcher's eyes light up, and he waddles over to lift the severed head of Meridian, its spine dangling, “Yes! Yesss! At last, I have it, all of that data! That precious, precious combat data!”

“At last, a creator reunited with his creation.” You remark as you pass by Rudolph Merrow.

Just as you predicted, he halts in his tracks, his back ramrod-straight, “He built this...thing?”

You nod solemnly, “That he did, although probably not alone, I suspect he had help from his coworkers. He paid me a very handsome sum to kill Meridian, and an even more handsome amount to deliver the head and top six vertebrae intact.” You remark casually. “He seems much more concerned with that than the lives lost.”

“I'll double his price.” The War Marshall announces loudly.

Ivan Fletcher freezes up, a look of incomprehension and baffled horror on his face.

“You heard me.” Rudolph Merrow adjusts his glasses, “Whatever he's paying you, Starwind, I'll double it. I have more than enough money that I do not do nearly enough with.”

“Double is good. Alright.” You shake his hand, “It's a deal.”

“Wh-wh-wait, no! You can't do this! This is proprietary technology!” Fletcher protests.

“That is illegal human experimentation if I've ever seen it.” Rudolph Merrow pronounces it like a headsman. “We'll need to investigate this, thoroughly.” He nods to his guards, “Take Mister Fletcher into custody.” They advance forward at his sign, each grabbing the researcher by one of his scrawny arms as he protests.

“Look into Fairchild's connections to this incident. A facility supposedly connected to Meridian's creation, or pursuing research in that vein, was destroyed by three of her troops on Qu'lir. Ostensibly while putting down a local insurgency.” You remark, “Oh, and my compliments have already been delivered to Keith Young. I'm sure he has a glorious career ahead of him. At least, I hope so. This is the second time he's done what needed to be done in such a way, I would reward him but I'm sure as his commander you're more equipped to handle that than I am. Also, any information gleaned from what's left of Meridian would be useful to our alliance.”

Merrow nods, “Of course,” then adds, quietly, “My sources tell me Colonel Stern is still on Auditorium. Ostensibly, he's taking some vacation time while SOUL operations are suspended for the investigation into former General Fairchild. In reality, he's hiding so I can't promote him, likely blaming himself for obeying orders as far as he did. It's what I, personally, need more of, high officers who can follow orders rather than the scent of advancement, but...he's a stubborn fool. When you see him, persuade him to come back. Oh, how much did Fletcher owe you?”

You name a sum. It's not the sum he planned to pay you, naturally. You've rounded it up a bit, just to make it, um, easier to remember. Much to your surprise, Rudolph Merrow unhesitatingly nods, “I'll make an immediate transfer.” With that, he helps drag Ivan Fletcher away.

OKAY GUYS.
LETS BEGIN:

First, there is the matter of how many of our ships and how many of our troops we're going to send there, so before doing it we need to know exactly how many mecha we do have.

And how many mecha we PRODUCED:

So, in order of doing this I listed everything I had certain we had PLUS calculated the number of CP Psyche-16 produces, at least a minimum of it based on info Wong gave us and the rules about production in the book.

So, in worst case scenario, we're able of producing at least 100 Dutchman per month: thats 14000CP right there, and the minimum of production lines needed for that are 10.

That means that we produce at least 15.000CP PER MONTH.

So, basing on that I created a plan involving using at least 1000CP to upgrade something, that is as follows:
>>
>>1932801
>>1932758
Distribution Plan:
Use 740 CP to update 20 Pumpkinseeds to Tourney-level mechs.
Use 147 CP to update 6 Pumpkinseeds II to Blue Knight Variants.
123CP Left to spend.

Harmonium(49 Mechs):
Captain Squad:
1 Roc Custom
2 Mustang
1 Master Harpy
1 Officer Mech

18 Rocs (They had them before anyone else)
5 Morgan IIs(For the same motive above)
1 S-Betta

1 Pumpkinseed Jager
1 Huskarl
1 Blitz

10 Harpy Shinobi
4 Bushi
1 Pumpkinseed II Blue Knight(Lance Variant)
45 Harpies

Browning(26 Mechs):
Captain Squad:

4 Bushi

5 Pumpkinseed II Blue Knight
5 Dutchman
5 Pumpkinseed Jager
5 Myrmdon
1 Libra

Heart of Sunshine(42 Mechs):

How are we handling our production capabilities?
Are we using the 15000 per month as deduced by the ducthman thing? do we have even more?
How can we spend the CP? can we use it to upgrade stuff up to the 225CP limit of MP production? Or we can just buy mechs? Can we at least upgrade the mechs up to 140CP?

How much of CP did we produced since re-opening the production lines... When were it? A month ago?

Are we using the Osano-Wo MP as Bushi? Or do we just convert it to toruney mecha instead?

How much Knights of Lori do we even have? Is her crew still piloting her ship? Can we send Lori as captain of her own ship to actually do stuff? Did her crew went back to avalon with the duke? are most of them still here?

A serious qustion:
How many mecha did we get from the Psyche-16 raid? You mentioned something like "hundreds of harpies and a few warmouths and morgans IIs" if I'm not mistaken.(Wich I would prefer keeeping mostly there, but we could at least take a few officer types from here and a few harpies just to fill the ranks of our lesser ships.)

QUESTION TO ALL PLAYERS:
Which waifus are sending to the outer-systems, and where are sending them?

my humble opinion:
Karen should be wherever Roarke is.
Fatima and Red stay at auditorium.
Clemmy and Lori should be put in different places as they are combat specialists and we don't need they concetrated everyplace at once.

Now, if you guys were okay with the "Operation: Captain Magnarus"(Tricking the Avalon allies in Dwarkin by using tabitha's ship with Magnarus as fake captain to lower their guard for the first major strike.) we should have Lori there to help with this daring crusade, and to feed us Avalonian info on the spot.

And if we are keeping Roarke here to deal with the Five Man Band, we should maybe send Clemmy with Sam to help there in Monbash.

Also:

YOU GUYS STILL DIDN'T DECIDED ON IF WE'RE PROMOTING INARI TO FIRST MATE AND IN WHICH SHIP SHE'LL BE.

I vote for promoting her to First mate in the Goshawk with Mohamed and have Shukrya as their Bosun, while Basil becomes First mate in the Rhinehawk.

Meh, forgot to actually distribute them:

>Monbash
Harmonium and a Transport.
You guys insisted on keeping most of our crew here because of 5MB, and cutting edges on the planet that is going to be full of enemies is a BAD idea.

>Dwarve-Fortress with animu.
Yamato, Avalon-2(Tabitha's ship that we didn't name yet, and a transport.
Reason: To have strong and numerous troops as far as we can and to to surprise them by tricking them for a a first strike with full avalonian bateries.
>>
>>1932832
I had bad expectatives of that one... But in the end it wasn't that bad and the mecha designs were fun.
>>
>>1932829
We shouldn't move our head waifu from our head of operations, and while I agree that Fatima could be usefull there and in the sense that I think that a 2 waifu per place could be a good distribution, we can't ifnore the fact that the 5MB is a still a menace and that she is a important piece for our ranks.

And isn't she just as usefull in space?
>>

Some mecha are locked to certain ships, Wong told us before, and I deduced some of them by what happened at the end of the tourney.
Its not up to us, I think, it depends on what exactly is the situation of Victor's employment now that Lori got banned from Avalon.
... But the drama would undoublty be got for the romantic shenanigans!
However, it seems that they are going to be together for this mission, if Lori goes with the Avalon-2 to Dawrkin in order of helping with the facade.

Hey Wong, did you want to hold the vote for the crew changes? I recall you said something about giving the Goshawk to Mohammad and setting up his First Mate and Bosun and replacing the Rhinehawk's First Mate.
>>
Also a note on Caesar. There are four paths for him, romance-wise. All are difficult, all are tragic.

None. This is the "mind of steel, duty above all" ending. Thunder might like this one the best as it presages the worst possible end for Avalon.

Tabitha. Self-explanatory, this is a pretty tragic one because of Naomi but it's easy to slip onto.

Naomi. Self-explanatory, this is a pretty tragic one because of Tabitha. It gets a big boost from the pre-established relationship but is actually harder to pursue from this point on than the Tabitha route.

Both. This is the most difficult route, but it has the best end for Avalon and probably the most loot for Roarke. It also involves Caesar amassing a pretty substantial killcount and possibly fighting his dad's final form mech.

Wong is already doing that, James, Katherine and akai already appeared recently, and everyone had an aparition on the paint war that happened during Roarke's night out with the boys.

If Inari gets promoted to something, and we bring the Avalonian ship to Dawrkin, good chance to have Victor and Magnarus(who also already appeared) to get at least some screentime.

Should also send Garreth to suport Sam, as he is the only one with an stealthy mecha able to give her backup on Moonbash.(Our new Mustangs don't have Stealth and that other modifier that allows mecha to avoid being detected by ASP.)

"Avalon" isn't exactly a unified entity, there is at least clearly two factions, and we seem to be in good word with the Duke and the Monarchists(who may be plotting to screw with the greenlady).
I do not trust the Greenlady either, but that doesn't means that I trust the SSL either, to me they are going the CUSS way sooner or later, and it isn't like we're best buddies now just because we signed an agrement with them for the time being.

also true however i put forth the question of "who are we going to plunder if not those unlucky fucks" SSL is off limits until they do something retarded like break a treaty with us, and i doubt they would approve us raiding planets that they want to return to the fold.
>it isn't like we're best buddies now just because we signed an agreement with them for the time being.
dude... we literally JOINED them as a country thats not an agreement that is a bloody contract. don't need to be friends, the fact of the matter is the SSL is at war with ALL of avalon not just a single faction, and since we joined them that means so are we, for better or worse we are part of the same entity now

>>1934712
>fight Avalon to stop greenmen from controlling us
>we were already under their control
>>
>>1934515
>indeed however does roarke know that in character? Caesar knows, but does roarke?
He does, the Duke left it implied on his letter, Lori talked at lenght about how the Duke and his friends were not blind followers of the Lady and joined mostly because of the tyranny of the elfs, while her mentor and other guys were one step from being cultists.
There is also all that info about SirIdon'trememberhisname refusing to train Ford even if the Lady ordered him to, Belegor being there just because of "MUH GAINZ", Ex-Pally running away because she was just cooperating for the sake of her family and the Gentleman refusing to be a Paladin even if he was also ordered to.
And if I'm not mistaken, ceasar told everything he knew to Roarke before going to Avalon, there is no reason to believe that he just told Roarke about the First Mate and shut his mouth for everything else when he had a direct call to Miles and managed to send tons of info.

>also true however i put forth the question of "who are we going to plunder if not those unlucky fucks" SSL is off limits until they do something retarded like break a treaty with us, and i doubt they would approve us raiding planets that they want to return to the fold.
Nah, we're still stealing from them until the Lady gets killed, it could happen of Duke Kirito betrayed her and trying to ally with us, but I doubt it, it more probable that he gets killed or locked away by trying so.

>dude... we literally JOINED them as a country thats not an agreement that is a bloody contract. don't need to be friends, the fact of the matter is the SSL is at war with ALL of avalon not just a single faction, and since we joined them that means so are we, for better or worse we are part of the same entity now
Yes, we are, for now, we could, and are probably going to betray them in the future after the war.

>>1934528
>>Jove betraying the earthnoids.
I doubt so, Jove isn't directly controlled by Earth in the same sense Venus and Luna are, but their ties are so close that its very possible that Earth as some contigency plan on dealing with that possibility, either by government control, or by zerg rushing Jove before things get out of control.
>>1934531
I kind of expect something like this, but we have no info to have any solid theory about a third party.

>>1934546
>>1934630
Hey, invading the earth was decided on thread 1 and Oda's drem is to retake the holy land of nippon and his rightful throne! What is going to be keeping us from zerg rushing the rest of league after the war? This thing may not keep up, that is also part of the reason Mars and Jove wanted a buffer state between them, the war between them is a real possibility from the moment Hakim dies.

>>1934674

but why tho? i men that literally the most contemptible part of the SSL is the corps and dealing with them is as simple as banning them and any of their subsidiaries from our space. also i just want to point out the fact that since our territory is now defined and that once the war ends the SSL's troops will be unoccupied that betraying them would be be RETARDED in the extreme, they outnumber us in all regards. lets not even try to compare their industrial output to ours.. unless we start seizing the corps assets in the belt i doubt our entire output combined will even be a blip compared to theirs. goddamn man it would take DECADES of industrial development to even begin catching up to them

Everyone is a Greenman. No one is a Greenman. Look into your heart, anon, you know it to be true.

Wasn't it more about mass recruiting people?
Does it really matters? We already get assasination attempts and the like from within the belt, its probably going to continue no matter who we recruit from. The belt is already a melting pot of sorts, there is far more incentive for some Fairchild supporters or the like of them to infiltrate people on us from here than to some Dawrkim rebel to betray us.

I agree that we shouldn't mass recruit everyone from everywhere, but I think that we should treat it more in a case-to-case basis, exceptions could exist.

if we recruit only from the belt and later only from those born in the belt, then we will almost certainly slow if not halt the flow of infiltrators, also the fact that these infiltrators reached the head of state? that itself is one of the greatest problems, should be much easier to stamp that shit out.

Everyone of our infiltrators were from the SS, even the Avalonian Lady was working for someone from around here.
Lets face it, we actually have much more enemies trying to sabotage us here than in any other place, anyone could be a spy here, what isn't the same reality in another places, underground people from the middle of nowhere in Dwarkim that are already full of joy for not having to eat rocks are far less likely to be terrorists from the get go, sure, they could be bought later on, but belt denizens also can.
Background matter more than locality when you're a nation with almost no real sense of indentity.

"Beltians" isn't much of a nationality, we're unifying the belt and making cool speechs in order to stablish a culture... But it doesn't work that way, people see themselfs as "from colony x" or "colony y" or even as Jovian or Martians from coming from their colonies, it will take many years before we get a real sense of nationalism spreading out of the people who aren't already involved with us from a long time.
Also, every evidence we have proves the contrary, all but one(maybe two, where is Pale Slayer from?) of the assasins where from the SSL. People can just be bought doesn't matter where they came from.

>bruh.. the only enemy faction left is avalon.
What is the 5MB then? What about Fairchild's boss that we don't even know who they are? What about the terrans that were involved in manipulating the SSL?

>US
the US have real and well defined nation with a long history and widespread acceptancy of their legacy through a large part of the population.
We're literally an army of pirates, with one colony and a large military base/factory that conquered either by force or by donation of territories more colonies... People aren't going to see themselfs as Phaetonians from the get go, they would probably just loyalty to us little higher than the one you have to your landlord.
>good goy
Nah, I don't think of Roarke as "Good", I actually agree with Thunder that Roarke only cares about the people and things he cares about, he isn't an idealist and isn't exactly a "hero" in the most black and white sense, but he is a really carismatic leader and piracy happens to be very tempting to great number of people.
>when you consider the methods of infiltration that avalon might have available
They doesn't have spores, what other method are you taking about? In this sense people of the SSL actively hate the greenman and are more resistant to conversion, but this would probably the same for Dawrkians and other people who suffered serious loses in the war.
>HERE WE KNOW ALL THE FACTIONS AT PLAY
No, we don't, we just know most of the worth knowing, we have no idea what the terrans are up to, and we still doesn't know who was backing Fairchild in the jovian hierarchy.

>anyone could be a spy anywhere and guess what AN ACTIVE GODDAMN WARZONE will be fucking SWARMING with them.
You have a point there, but it isn't going to be always true, Monbash mostly isn't a warzone for example, and even avalon won't have spies in every desert raiders or undeground group on Dwarkin, and even the ones they have will probably be very spread out.

>"Beltians" isn't much of a nationality,
indeed however it was much faster to type than Phaeton

>it will take many years before we get a real sense of nationalism
on this we are agreed, what i have been trying to sell to you is it is going to be much easier to get the backround information much less the loyalty of someone who has lived in the belt for so many years than someone from somewhere we have no presence the other thing is we need to get started on nationalism quick.

>What is the 5MB then? What about Fairchild's boss that we don't even know who they are? What about the terrans that were involved in manipulating the SSL?
4MB are a minor nuisance at best, fairchild nominally answered to the planetary chairman, but at the same time she "Said" she was acting out of fear of the terrans but for all we know she was just trying to avoid an execution. the Terrans themselves? we have way too little information and limiting recruitment or even conscription should it come to it to the belts younger population should weed out a large margin og potential infiltrators from them

>We're literally an army of pirates, with one colony
actually we now own all of the colonies the martians built and while i agree with you in that i doubt they will truly see themselves as part of the country, as you have said Roarke is very charismatic, and i bet you within a few years we could have our populace Loyal to the state with a fervor exceeding the SS (Nazis not the solar system)

also the smuglord in me feels the need to point out >widespread acceptancy of their legacy through a large part of the population.
liberals disagree with this

i do admit the good goy thing was annoyance seeping through

>what other method are you taking about

the lady has the capability to create immortal genetically perfect warriors as well as correct defects like the lack of functioning legs, i bet she could also do things like change someones face eye-colour skin-colour gender possibly even body silhouette. which is fucking TERRIFYING in terms of espionage potential .

>No, we don't, we just know most of them worth knowing
>most of them worth knowing
is the same as knowing the ones worth knowing and as far as we know the terrans have yet to move
>we still doesn't know who was backing Fairchild in the jovian hierarchy.
We have a single senator so far, and i have to say anyone that would try to continue anything she was involved in? they would have to be suicidal even black projects leave paper trails.

>>
>>1932927

>>

>on this we are agreed, what i have been trying to sell to you is it is going to be much easier to get the backround information much less the loyalty of someone who has lived in the belt for so many years than someone from somewhere we have no presence.
I agree with you in this, but recruiting people in the belt doesn't solve the problem, because when you take nationalism as a factor, two main factors remain: Screening and Loyality.
In the belt we have a better time checking the background of the people around, but it isn't a perfect process and there is only so much we can check, out there things are can be way more difficult, because apart of any pre-existent factions we may have no much resources to check the background of individuals.
Meanwhile, people can always be bribed ou threatened to change sides, which seems more possible of happening with our SS brethren than with outer system opulations that may have not much of a better option to begin with and would be more difficult of risking their positions with us for some risky and unrealiable gains.
To deal with this, I'm not saying that we should set up shop and start checking the backgrounds and giving training to everyone who knocks on the door, but we could take people from already established warrior factions, or of local allied forces, that also makes infiltrating us a unreliable plan, as any spy would have to already be in position, instead of just entering by the front door.

>4MB and Terrans.
4MB are a real threat for now, and we can just assume that there won't be other guys from their kinds stirring things up after they are gone, Fairchild's mentor is still there lurking somewhere and even the Chairman is certain of it, and the Terrans? They now have personal motivation to screw with us, as we have two people under our roof who "Know too much."
Recruiting from the belt isn't so safe and won't be for medium to long term.
>Liberals
Most of them seem to at least care about the fact that they are americans, even if its only to rage about it. Its common tatics from the local druglords here to have their young recruits join the army to get military training and go right back to fighting the police, it is just natural to them, they already recognize the government as something "other" to them, so why care?
Why do you think we have the biggest number of ancaps here? Liberals still want this huge structure to do things for them, ancaps on the other hand mostly see the entire structure as a foreign power ruling by facade of choice and the threat of force.
For all we know, to the more recent colonies under our power we could just be as that to them, a random pirate crew that managed to become Jovians/Mars lapdogs and took over their territory, and while Roarke is a carismatic here and makes speechs about the beltian sense of indentity, we're no saints and they don't really have a choice of not joining us.
>>
>>1935353
>Lady's Powers
If that is true they could get us from anywhere though, she has means to send a transport here full of clones to substitute people and use their backgrounds as an entry point.
But it seems that only Paladins and some nobles are allowed to see her in person, though... Or she would have armies of super soldiers at this point.

>Enemies
I already touched upon that, but the point is that things are not over it, and we got 2 or maybe 3 groups with not very helpful interests on the belt to take in consideration, and while one or two may not want to go full fairchild with us, they may still want to cause us quite the damage in order to get what they want.
And it seems that the senator isn't exactly the one passing orders to her, as things were described she used her own influence to buy that guy, maybe Bahamut corp is the one playing with her? I think they may be a big part of the scheme too, but it seems that there is still one power that we don't know about who is moving things in the shadow.
>>
I know that there is discussion about recruiting and everything going on, but let me focus to a more imediate matter for us while that goes on.

TO ALL KESTRELS:

So... Wong said for us to discuss the matter of the ship distribution, here is some things to consider:

What we know about the worlds we will be sent to:
>Monbash is a gas giant so big that it borders on becoming a star. Its atmospheric gasses have unusual properties and ultra-rare elements that are used in the production of gates, making it a valuable prize for whichever side controls it. Its people live in space colonies interspersed among Monbash's rings, and the combination of wealth and few military threats until recently have made them a rich and decadent culture fond of labyrinthine politics. Although they are ostensibly a democratic society, the assassination of their last Chancellor has led to a civil war between his second-in-command and his chief rival. Our greatest use for you there, Pirate King, would be anti-ship operations, assassinations, and direct confrontation with Avalonian forces.

Dwakim:
>And then, Dwakim. Dwakim is a different animal altogether. During the age of the Confederation of Independent Star Systems, Dwakim was a major trading hub and a jewel amongst the stars. Huge swathes of the planet were nothing but cities, megatropolises that stretched taller than the mountains and deep into the earth, cities that now lie mostly abandoned amidst the deserts that were once verdant grasslands, dense jungles, and pine-scented taiga.Unlike Monbash, the forces of Dwakim are replete with mecha, made in their own factories, preserved from the War, or bought from Avalon. Their Supreme Leader sides with Avalon, but rebels on Dwakim have called out to the SSL for aid, remembering the devastation the Green Men inflicted on their planet and refusing to live under their yoke. The fighting will be fierce there, and I see no way to end it with few casualties, as the major metropoli have powerful anti-starship batteries set up for their defense.

Also, before anything I would like to ask you two questions:

>Are we going to send 2 ships to each place, or are going to send someone alone to one of them in order to keep most of our troops here?

>Are we keeping the Rhinehawk in the belt?

Now:
>Monbash
Before I got here you guys were already pushing for Harmonium, I see why, of our four Medium Weight it is the only gunship(that is, with 200K cannons) and from our captains Becingham is probably the second with most social skills, and even if Rosita's is an star and everything else, she isn't a politician, and Beckingham seems to have had a good amount of experience with backstabing and shadowdealings if I'm getting his backstory right.

If we are discussing sending other people here, the Cleander or the Goshawk could be a good option for support ships for missiles and troops, or an Avalonian to be used as for heavy hitting and taking the enemy.
>>
>>1935555
Sending other ships to Monbash INSTEAD of the Harmonium could have problems(I will skip Yamato as it seems already locked for Dwakim):

The Cleander is our newest crew, and while they are probably efficient as they can be in obeying orders, they weren't a pirate crew to begin with and we know little to nothing about them and their Captain, who seems to be an ace specialized in gunnery. As far as we know he could be just biding his time while waiting for a opening to betray us too, and even if that is not the case we don't know his strenghts or weaknesses. Also, assuming that we're going to distribute our Rocs and new mecha mostly evenly through or ship, but that the more importants captains will keep their most important stuff, they really doesn't have much more in terms of machines than a few Pumpkinseeds, any other officer mechs they have will come from our new numbers, and they also don't have any spare aces beyond their captain... They will probably be the weak-link of our fleet for the time being if we don't give special attention to their mecha crew, what probably isn't going to happen as the other guys need mecha juist as much as them.

>Browning and Captain Flint
If the Stone Soldiers get upgrades to squads of Tourney mechs, they will be the most lethal of our forces, and probably able to solo an entire Avalonian ship contingent if those guys doesn't have a Paladin. As for the rest, though, Flint isn't that usefull out of his mech for the space nobles shenanigans that may unfold(to be fair, we don't have much people with that many experience in politics here) and his ship is one of the Two Pangassius class we have, that means, if they attack an Avaloanian ship they have to take control of it, because chances are that their ship will be just molten metal floating in the space the moment they start to face of the Knights(Their ships can go down in 3 hits from an Avalonian.).

>Heart of Sunshine maybe with Rosita.
Its the other Pangassius class, and it doesn't have anything better than Harpies(Now they will be Rocs and Shinobi Harpies at least) that isn't Katherine or Rosita. It is probably the worst ship to be sent anywhere. Rosita could be usefull, more than Beckingham and almost as Sammy, and that not assuming the possibility of the decadent nobles really liking an pirate idol, but she could probably be of more use for now by being in Auditorium.

>Goshawk And Moemoe-kyun.
Our boy mohamed can kick ass, and his ship can go full Yamato-damashi and missile spam people to EXPLOSION. he will also probably have at least two Tourneygoers as his bosun and First mate, he would be a good option, even if he isn't as well armed in mecha than Beckingham and doesn't really have the experience in politics and intrigue to really help with the mission out of his mech.

>Avalonian
The second most powerfull ships we have after the Rhinehawk, 1400K of structure and beam cannons of 400k.
>>
>>1935555
>>1935575
>Avalonian(cont).
If psyche-16 was any indication, Lori ship should have at least 40 mechs, while Tabitha's ship have 22 update mechs that originally would be Bushi but Wong didn't really confirmed that yet. those could be spread around and I expect the Bushi at least to be, but who else would even make use of the Knights if not the Avalonian crew themselfs?
They could be gamechanger in whatever place they are, but may not have much of a leadership depending on the situation, and while Knights at least aren't worse than other Knights... They aren't much better either until they get updated.

Next post Dwakim.

>Dwakim.

So, here we seem to have a consensus of sending the Yamato, and there was a talk in the last thread of using Magnarus piloting Rin's ship to get their guard down.

From everything else we havem taking in consideration that this is going to be a combat heavy zone, the Red Avalonian is the better thing we could use, with the Harmonium being next, with Goshawk and the Bowning disputing a third place.

There is two main strategies we could pull out with Red's ship that come to my mind right now:
>1
Have Magnarus to play Captain, but just bring everyone form Lori's crew and troops to the ship, with maybe even Lori herself to coach him along the procedures.
>2
Just have a kestrel crew piloting it, with assorted mecha, the Magnarus part works just as above.

We could also just throw away that plan and just bring the Stone Soldiers for here for mecha reinforcements, or even give this as their new ship and just bring Magnarus with them, what could be cool too.
>>
>>1935610
Now for the waifus

>Sam
Probably the only one trained to deal with Monbash.Red, Fatima and even Lori could have some grasp on the situation, but everyone of them will be out of their element there. Is there any reason to not send her to lead the mission?

>Fatima
Someone once told me that he Tarrasque could be more efficiency on the ground... I still didn't get why. It can be OP in space too, and she is our head waifu and probably the best at administrating stuff, bringing her out of the belt when she is the second most informed people about most of or day to day things after Miles seems to be a bad idea.

>Red
Her ship is the most vulnerable and less equiped with mecha, and she is still the governor of her only space colony. We could just have her tag along to someplace and leave Katherine to deal with the colony, though.

>Clemmy
She could be usefull anywhere, ANYWHERE.
Shouldn't send her alone to Dwakim though, she would bully Oda and go full muderboner on the nearest target.

>Lori
Keeping her in the belt would give her time to do her best in governing around in her style, as Wong put it, she is the type of people to know the whole backstory of each of her vassals, and has a greate deal of experience in being a state leader. However, she is still a Paladin and was one of the most difficult fights we ever got into, sending her to Dawkim could give us an edge, but it could also have "CONSEQUENCES" that Wong didn't specified... I think that with that many other aces around she wouldn't hesitate in fight her brethren after the last events, but there may be further repercussion of her actions for when we finnaly get to Avalon or need to make use of her contacts, so keeping her in the belt could be more safe.

>Karen
KK will be lonely without his mommy around, so I doubt that anyone here is going to suggest anything that would keep her away from the Rhinehawk.
>>

Now... Tourney aces...

Akai and James are going to Dwakim due to being locked to the Yamato.

Skunk is going to follow Roarke around.

Victor will... Follow Lori around? I think?

Inari will be in either the Goshawk or the Rhinehark it seems, we should still vote on that.

Alexander Grant and his Libra joined the Stone Soldiers if I'm not mistaken.

Katherine is Red's First mate.

Maxwell, Mako and Wyatt are probably being one happy family in Psyche-16.

That leave us... Gareth, Walter, Bodvar, Mai and Magnarus to order around.
>>
My suggestion:
>Monbash
Harmonium
With: Sam and Gareth(He is the only one able of following her around in the same level of stealth).

>Dwakim
Yamato
One Avalonian
With: Magnarus and Clemmy or Lori(Bring Victor if Lori also comes... or maybe she will be okay with sending him to follow his love... Ah, leave it up with her!)

Bring a transport with every mission fleet.

Assign Bodvar and Mai to Rhinehawk for extra power, have Walter help the Cleander(he may protest it and we may have to re-assign him... but where are we going to send him to? Maybe Monbash?)

I also would try to take some of Siren's best personnel to the Harmonium in order of increasing their crew level to A-Crew at the cost of having the Heart of Sunshine go to C-Crew while they are away, if you guys agree and Wong is cool with it.
>>

In terms of Monbash, I would say either an Avalonian ship or the Goshawk alongside the Harmonium. Moe is one of our more skilled aces, with some good stealth himself. Combine him with Clemmy, Sam, and Beckingham(plus the Aussie and his beau), and we have a pretty good stealth team. Any other stealth or political aces would likely work here, but we do not want to spread them too far in the field.
The Rhinehawk stays home. No questions. It's one of our faster, sturdier ships and will do well putting out fires the 4MB can start.
I stick by Dwarf being Yamato and Avalonian. It's a good mix of power there. We need that.
>>
>>1935722
Could work, I'm interested to see if people will prefer keeping 6 or 5 ships here though.
Also, the Mustang have Stealth systems, Beckingham's Mech is a just a roc custom(but will probably get updated) and Clemmy and Moe doesn't have stealth systems themselfs.

But yeah, they could be a really good combat squad for key assasinations.

I also wanted to make the master harpy we have into an Longshadow variant, so we can have a sniper at hand.
But maybe she could see better use on Dwakim if we are already sending Gareth to Monbash.
>>
>>1935744
It's not just stealth and assassination, it's also information gathering. Monbash's issue in terms of getting loot is that we can only get it from those with Avalonian connections. Sam is our Ace there, and Beckingham seems to have some good social skills. They don't necessarily need to fight, just open up the doors and find the good stuff. Maybe have some stealth units with Pods filled with storage units to quietly steal the loot and run as well.
>>
>>1935773
Well planned anon, that is true indeed.
I wish we could use Marciana here, but I don't know if she joined following Fatima's example.

We could make comando Shinobi Harpies with a Striker Armor Superlight Pod with 2 extra Storage units, depending on how okay wong is with these last minute modifications.

I really liked that idea by the way.
>>
>>1935800
I would honestly say keep the pod 1 category above the torso. The pod doesn't need to be heavily armored since a situation where you are being fired at is already a FUBAR'd mission. Maybe alpha armor to protect it against infantry, but the storage should be biggish so we do not need as many devoted to looting and have more available for fighting/recon.
>>
>>1935832
I'm trying to keep the commando versions under 10CP of difference from the usual units, to not make them much expesive than the other ones, But Shinobi harpies have a 1.6x multiplier...
So we would have only 6CP to actually spend, whic means that the best we could do is a Superlight Armor(1CP), with a Lightweight Pod(4Spaces/2CP) with 3 Torso Storage units within.
>>
>>1935842
Well, a thing to consider is that they don't necessarily NEED extra weapons. Think of it less like commandos and more like stealth transport. Keep something small as a weapon, but it's duty would be taking stuff and running away.
>>
>>1935851
Harpies already aren't much armed to begin with... But we could remove one of their weapon choiced for 3 more SP...

Or we could just throw our common sense out of the way and scalated this harpy to some real officer version, it will just keep getting expensive anyway if we keep adding storage to it, coul at least give it a better chance to protect the loot.
>>
>>1935860
The stealth systems should be the thing protecting the loot alongside other units, not armor. Armor slows down the Harpy and it's far too fragile for thick armor to do it any good.
You are thinking it in a 'what if they get caught' scenario, which at that point is the death of the harpy anyways. They don't need to be combat viable, just sneaking and stealing viable, which requires being able to runaway fast. Wraiths can also work for this.
>>
>>1935877
We could treat it as a new loadout then, instead of a custom harpy just make it the "Loot carrier loadout"

>Lightweight Pod(2CP/4Spaces) with 4 Storage units and Lightweight Armor(8CP and 1tons)
You could bring one or two of them instead of your usual weapon options.
>>
>>1935900
Yup, what I had in mind. Ideally, they come in after the coast is clear and leave just as fast. Could also be used to capture or retrieve people as well.
>>
>>1935440
>If that is true they could get us from anywhere though, she has means to send a transport here full of clones to substitute people and use their backgrounds as an entry point.

Just got back to the thread, the thing is avalon does not have enough presence to fake backrounds here, i doubt they could manufacture a birth certificate as well as all of the ancillary school and medical records for a spy to pass off as a citizen if we start doing backround checks, i am not denying that recruiting from the home pop would be much more effective at halting potential infiltrators from avalon. and i am definitely not saying security will be perfect from the get go just that we HAVE to start somewhere and i have yet to see a vote to start increasing Infrastructure and bureaucracy
>>

Meh, I will concede my point about recruiting people, but I still thing that we could make some execptions to already established bands of combatants who could prove their own backgrounds and know their own members, but I'm talking about exceptions in this case, not of this being a rule.
About the the documents though, they need to, they just need to copy the appearance of someone and go to the nearest administration building and say that they lost their IDs and need a new copy.... If the DNA and everything match, how should the bureaucrats know the difference?

Less risk of SSL or Earth 5th columns, and neither Mars nor the SSL will want to stop us since they're fighting to control it on the dl, and honestly after fucking up Fairchild we're probably a celebrity there given her reputation. Plus we're awesome pirates so the more troublesome elements will be likely to join us.

Also Catgirl maids for Odas cafes.

>>
>>1934931

You know, Brazil, I think you need something to do~

From a previous thread, even!

>EVERYONE WHO HAS MECHA WEAPONS FOR SALE (LIKE MYRM AND LOGGER) PLEASE REPLY THEM AND THEIR MANUFACTORS TO THIS POST AND I WILL CREATE AN "WEAPON STORE" PASTEBIN FOR FUTURE LOADOUTS CONFIGURATIONS FOR OUR MOOKS.

This is a fine way for more "generic" mecha like Pumpkinseeds, Bluegills, and Rocs to be a little better. A Pumpkinseed squad leader, for instance, might have a Lucille pick from Yates & Hillyrd instead of the standard Pumpkinseed sword, or an Iskander rifle.
>>
>>1937373
I'll get on it just after you answer my questions u.u

Serious though, I'm eager to start discussion the mecha distribution for our ships, but there isn't much sense to discuss squad leader loadouts when we don't even know how many mecha we have and if we can directly spend CP from our factories on them :/
>>
>>1937414
He's got a point. Knowing what we have to work with helps us make better choices. Assembly lines aside, customization can likely be done by hand.. though it takes twice as long. It is what we've been doing with the Kaiser and other customs.

>>

Obviously we should ignore all o that and propose only 3000+ CP mecha for grunt troops and 10000+ CP mecha for officers.
>>

The captains get nations, our wives get solar systems and we get the Milky Way.
>>
>>1937373
I imagine Alexander would be willing to sell the CROWE's blueprint.
>>
You know guys considering how small our pop is we should just make our grunt suits worth double the standard value.
>>
>>1938806
Not as easy as it seems Thunderbird. While going double the Bluegill(which would put the CP at 180) would be reasonable and would be akin to better armor or various improvements to the machine, once you hit 226, you are starting to hit skill gaps. The talent required to safely put the machine together would be in the higher bracket. We are talking Karen levels here. Production time would be longer at 5 days a machine, even with assembly lines, and other things on the side. We don't really have a lot of highly skilled engineers compared to the corps to put out those numbers decently. As is, getting our pilots out of bluegills and harpies and into machines that don't explode from a beam shot should be our first priority. Upgrade packs and Dutchmen IIs can happen later.
>>
>>1938904
Point is we need to focus on better machines and crews instead of trying to have a giant army. Getting all of our crews to A rank should be our first priority in our army.
>>
>>1938806
Prohibitly and needlessly expensive. We need the modularity of the Zakus that can change their loadouts to fit the mission. Besides, the mecha pilot is the core of the mech.
>>
>>1938914
I can agree with that. Building the roost and proper training facilities should help. Pirate officer school you could say. Talk shop, learn tricks, spar, ect.
>>
>>1938918
It is but having a strong mech turns that pilot into a killing machine.
>>
>>1938918
I'm going to kick myself for this, but a possible idea for that is those Seed Destiny Wizard Packs the Zakus there use. Get a decent sized pod or two, fill them with gun, missile, or more thruster, and a quick change mount to jetison in case they are used up. Could also use them for stuff like a reactive shield or spare ammo. It would give them additional oomph without having to remake the whole machine, and would be interchangeable. The issue is, the idea came from Seed Destiny and it makes me feel dirty.
>>
>>1938963
The tech was functional and decent.

Its just the story and characters that made it shit.

>mecha distribution for the ships.

You have what you currently have since most of your mech output is going into those 100 Dutchmen and the remainder is making the Yamato a bit more balanced mech-wise. Don't worry about where the aces or waifus are, I'm figuring that out and it's on a ship-based basis. For example, if you send the Yamato to Dwakim, you're guaranteed James (First Mate), Akai (Bosun), and Victor.

There was a pretty big push against opening your borders against the most third-world SSL planet in previous threads. I'm aware, and as exciting as it is...

>AR-15s, AR-15s everywhere

The AR is not a bad gun, but it is a badly overhyped gun and the reasons why it are good are taken wildly out of context. I might buy one eventually just for the heck of it but 5.56 kills my enthusiasm. There are many guns I'd just rather have. 7.62 is better for deer and other large game, so in the American bush I'd find it more reliable, while its inferior arc (versus 5.56) is less of a problem because dense forest cover means engagements at shorter distances. Also because 5.56 supposedly gets deflected by bushes.

>Aces and Ships
You mentioned that we would have a pool of the independent aces to assign to ships, you already told us about the ones locked to certain ships, most of them at least.

What we would like to know about that is about how many of the aces are still around... Did you read my earlier comments? I've compiled what I got from the tourney threads and what you said last thread and made some commentary on that, but you can just ignore it if you want, I'll be happy with whatever is your decision Wong, you already gave us wonder of a legendary game and I can ask you for nothing more.
>Victor
Huh, I wonder why....u.u
Also, quick question here, you mentioned him being from the Duchess bloodline, do they know each other? Is she his Great-Great-Aunt or something?

>>1939797
That is what was talking about, I went back to compile all the info we had about our forces and number it in >>1932804 But the last time it was update was just after Psyche-16 if I'm not mistaken, so there is some holes like:
>How many mecha we got in Psyche-16?Did everything from there(Mostly harpies, hundreds of them) got scraped?
>One of the conditions of the tourney was losing your mech if didn't have how to pay for participating, how many mecha we got from that?
>Auditorium Harpies, yeah, no idea of how many we got.
>Garrons, you mentioned them a looooong time ago(even before the Mars inavsion) but they just... Dissapeared drom the pastebin. Did they get exploded during the Seven Kings arc?

>Psyche-16 output
We could do that just by changing the placement of mecha around, and if we do the thing I mentioned by upgrading the Stone Soldiers mechs we could at least get 5 more 140CP mechs to throw around, they could be all Lightnings and Wraiths for the Yamato if you wish. Alternatively, we could just upgrade all of Lori's Knights to Tourney mecha by spending 420CP on them if I'm not mistaken... But I guess that could be chaotic.
I made a suggestion of what we could be able of doing with 1000CP left from PSyche-16 in >>1932802 but it was more of an example of what distribution and upgrade of lesser machines could do, but actually spending CP to produce more ace level mecha now have two problems, the first is that we won't get many from that and most of our army would still be Rocs, the second one being the fact that you mentioned we having some Dutchman and Jager made, what would narrow even more the choice of mecha we would get from that if they already aren't many.

>>1939788
It seems that we're sending Yamato and Rin's ship to Dawrkim and Harmonium with maybe Goshawk to Monbash from what I read from last thread, but I still wait to see more opinions about it as the whole discussion was mostli eclipsed by Meridian.
>>
>>1939880
The Stone Soldiers upgrade strategy is:
>Upgrade 20 Pumpkinseeds with 740CP.
>Upgrade the 6 Pumpkinseeds II we have with 117CP(5 from Gretchen and One from Flint)
>Give 15 Tourney mech to the Stone soldiers, along with 5 Pumpkinseed II Blue Knight.
>Change the 4 Pumpkinseeds left with Bushi from our Avalonian ship.
>there is 5 Tourney Mech for you to assign anywhere you want.
That way you can have all the Dutchs and Jagers that you mentioned in the last thread when Roarke received that photo, and still get Officer mechs for the Yamato.

There is also the problem you mentioned about the Yamato only having Shinobis, you can change that by spreading Rocs somewhat equally through our main ships, and then trading Shinobi harpies for Rocs.

Also, can we finnaly sacrifice the Tulwar and a Bluegill to make a Master Harpy? We need more snipers.

Also, I vote on assigning the Scimitars to Moe's crew, as they were his first crew in a sense.

I can't recall that at all, but I wish I had seen it. It'd have made me quite happy. Works for me just fine.

I don't really know where he'd work best, but he's a talented swordsman and excels at high speed melee combat with his stupid fast mech. It's got fine armor and a nice shield, and his sword is either an exotic anti-beam/energy weapon or a positively lethal armor piercer depending on the Field generator in it.

He is kind of a mix between the Lightning and the Huskarl but with a little twist with his blade and armor, and that is the thing, we could be usefull anywhere, so it falls more for a character based choice I think, or to just send him to the place with the least number of aces, which would probably be the Cleander or Rin's ship.

Brazil, the problem is that you're peppering me with questions, most of which I have to look up, and then writing really long posts with suggestions I ALSO have to consider and weigh against what other people are saying. Pestering me doesn't help.

Here are facts.

Luca is the only tourney pilot who probably actually went home to Venus, he might have been levied into the war effort. The NPC pilots, besides Mako, all went home too. Most everyone else stuck around.
>>
>>1939889

Can't do that. Pumpkinseeds don't upgrade to Bushi, you can't just "make" Pumpkinseed II Blue Knight Customs because while many tourney pilots let you access their designs (for a fee), Mako isn't one of them, that's a Bahamutcorp special. If you want to upgrade your Pumpkinseeds to IIs, you need to go to Bahamutcorp and buy the upgrade packs. OR go to a private manufacturer like Y&H or Iskander and buy third-party upgrades. Theoretically you CAN make Pumpkinseeds into Jagers, though.
>>
Yamato to Dwakim and Harmonium to Monbash is confirmed, but we have a whole Caesar section coming up to hash out the details.
