Welcome back to ShellStorm mech quest! Last time we picked our new protagonist (a troubled heavy weapons specialist named Piotr Wasjokowski) and immediately launched into battle against the German occupation. Our flawless performance gave us access to the head mechanics brainchild. The KettenBrecher. We immediately put the prototype mech through its paces and found it above and beyond our wildest dreams. Now we find ourselves on a daring mission to destroy a bridge and send hundreds of Germans to a watery grave...

>Piotr's equipment
>LMG (5 bursts per drum, +3 drums total)
>4 frag grenades
>4 anti armor grenades
>1 anti armor rocket launcher (+3 rockets)
>Revolver
>Combat knife
>Heavy armor (increased defense, resistance to small arms and shrapnel, very bulky and reduces mobility)

>White Partisan
>Tri-linked 30mm autocannons
>Anti-Armor heavy rocket (2 turn reload)
>Medium shield with melee medications
>exceptional agility (+5 to dodge. Enemy has -5 to hit while White Partisan is moving)
>Excellent speed- White Partisan is on par with light Shells on speed. Heavy Shells are easily outmaneuvered
>Excellent stability- White Partisan can move easily and remain accurate on uneven or perilous terrain.
>Medium armor- takes -2 damage from light Shell weaponry

well back, and thank you for running cursed. Its been fun and interesting, happy thanksgiving!

You, Jakub and Anatoli crouch in a bombed out building overlooking the bridge out of the city. The bulky packs containing the dynamite charges rest on your backs as you all go over a last minute weapons check. The intrepid resistance driver who had delivered you had sped off when a KriegHund patrol had come around the corner. From the machine gun fire and klaxons spreading along the checkpoints away from you he was leading them on a merry chase around the city.

"Idiots going to get himself killed"
Growls Jakub, slotting a serrated blade into his boot and peering through a gap in the wall towards the bridge

"He is just giving us a distraction. Sascha has that buggy armored too well to worry about their pea shooters"
Remarks Anatoli, peering through his sights at the German patrol on the bridge

Man you don't even remember MC's name
>>
>quietly observe the bridge.

You scoot along the rubble pile that was once some families bedroom, broken glass and shattered, burnt wood crunching under your weight as you peer out of a small crater in the wall.

The bridge stretches nearly 300 yards across the river. Metal and concrete supports jut up from the water at regular intervals, holding them immense weight of the construction up.

A pair of checkpoints sit at each end of the bridge, each guarded by a small squad of German soldiers. You can see eight from where you sit, basic German infantry armed with rifles and Submachine guns with a pair of the long handled German grenades. Each checkpoint has a mounted machine gun nest behind a wall of sandbags and concrete. Those will be tricky to deal with but you have faith in your own abilities.

Jakub checks his watch and gets up from his seat, slapping your armor plated shoulder
"Ok we've got three hours before the convoy moves through. Lets get these charges planted and get back here."

Anatoli speaks up without removing his eye from his scope, the sight hovering on a Germans heart
"Way I see it, you've got 2 ways to go about this..."

>Go in sneaky, plant the charges underneath the bridge and exfiltrate

>Trade your revolver (temporarily) to Anatoli.

You catch Anatoli's attention, extending your revolver to him grip first along the with belt and bullets associated with it. He nods, unbuckling his own pistol and handing over the long barreled semiautomatic over.
"Make sure to aim a bit high"
He says as he buckles the revolver belt on.
"Its got a bit of a drop on it."

You nod, giving a cheeky salute as you amend Jakub duck out of the ruin, Anatoli watching your progress through his scope.

Crawling through the rubble and overgrown brush along the side of the riverbank you stop occasionally as Germans call out to one another, asking about the still spreading alarms and gunfire that spread across the outskirts of the city.

Jakub hisses through his teeth as a flashlight passes across the both if you but the distance is too great and the German is distracted by the klaxons. The beam moves on.

Crawling on your belly you reach a small ladder secured with a padlock where you will be able to climb onto the lower level of the bridge

>Boost Jakub, have him drop the ladder down

You squat down, cupping your hands and looking pointedly at Jakub
"Up you get"

He smirks, bracing his foot in your hands and you stand, boosting him up. He grips the ladder and perches on it like a monkey, fiddling with the lock for a moment before climbing up and undoing a small latch.
"Look out"
He says softly before the well greased ladder slides down rather quickly.

You barely manage to jerk out of the way before it crushes your skull, glaring up at Jakub as you climb. His quiet chuckles echo back to you as you enter the sublevel of the bridge. Dripping, rust laden water drips from above you, below the tiny walkways, the roiling river waiting to swallow anyone at the slightest misstep.

You come to the first support, a mass of metal and concrete emerging like a pillar from the river, bolts the size of your forearm holding the junction together.

You pull the first charge from your pack, wedging it into a gap in the construction. The small radio detonator is inserted as gingerly as possible, a tiny green light showing it is primed and ready.

1 down. 4 to go.

Suddenly Jakub hisses at you to get down as a rhythmic thunk approaches along with a beam of sweeping light.

Jakub gingerly pulls a slim dagger from belt while you draw your pistol, placing a finger to your lips. The first sign of alarm will see you trapped by German soldiers with next to no cover.

>Have Jakub take the soldier

>97. Stealthiest of stealthers

You extend an open palm towards Jakub as you lean into the shadows.
The gesture is simple, stay there, don't move. He crouches down lower, pressing against the rusted wet metal and nearly dissolving into the shadows.

You press backwards, as close to the support as you can as the German soldier walks past obliviously, humming a tune and idly flicking his flashlight from place to place without even really registering what he sees. He reaches a ladder and flicks off his beam, climbing out of your view in moments. You exhale in relief as you both emerge from hiding, Jakub grinning like a wolf as he slides the dagger back into its sheath
"Well done Piotr. I didnt know you could hide that well"

You wave him along as you make your way along to the next support. A second charge is placed with little issue, the green light blinking dimly as it syncs with the detonator.

You and Jakub creep along like shadows in the underbelly of the bridge. The rusted railings threaten to give way at the slightest pressure. The floor is dangerous with jagged spurs of metal that seek to snag a boot and send you plummeting to a watery grave.

But not today. You reach the next support with little trouble, a kicked pebble being the only noise that echoes louder than the drip of water as you stow the next explosive into its final resting place. The detonator slides in smoothly as Jakub watches your back, a blade in glittering in the low light.

"Three down. Two more. Lets move Piotr"

>1. Shits fucked.

All good things must come to an end however as you and Jakub learn as you come around a corner and are Confronted face to face by a German soldier taking a smoke break. Jakub lunges forward, one hand over the Germans mouth as a dagger is rammed between his ribs. The muffled scream of pain and alarm isn't loud enough to carry far. The gunshot from his sidearm however is.

Jakub yelps in pain as a bloody gouge is torn from his side as the dying German manages to draw and fire his pistol. The dagger finds a new home in the Germans eye and his body is kicked backwards over the railing, Jakub unslinging his submachinegun as cries of alarm echo out along the upper level.

"Fuck me. This just got a lot harder Piotr! Give me the charges and cover me while I set the rest!"

Gunshots flick out as Jakub crouches in cover, bullets gouging the metal he hides behind, firing blindly over the top. You grab a grenade from your bandoleer and fling it over his head, a yelp of alarm sounding as Germans scramble away before the small explosive detonates in a cloud of razor sharp shrapnel.

Men howl in pain as their flesh is torn by the shards of metal, one collapses backward clutching his throat as blood pulses heavily from the jagged tear.

Another grenade lands square in the middle of a group of soldiers, Theyre response is a moment too late as it goes off in their midst, spraying shrapnel and a fine pink mist as they are shredded. They collapse either screaming weakly or like marionettes with their strings cut.

"MOVE JAKUB!"
you roar, popping back up with your LMG ready as a German soldier peaks out of cover just in time to take a five round burst to the upper chest. He pitches backward silently and tumbles over the railing like a bloodied ragdoll. You can hear the Germans speaking in alarm and panic, it seems you pulped their officer and Theyre unwilling to push forward again.

>92.

You grip the LMG to your shoulder tightly, sweeping the sights back and forth as Jakub moves for the last support. German soldiers are still coming down the ladders and moving down the metal stairways.

You let them have it.

Your LMG barks again and again, tumbling the Germans to the floor or into the river. Youre untouchable, the immovable object that they cannot pass safely. A bullet ricochets from your armor and you don't even flinch, leading the German and eviscerating him with a three round burst. Another burst sees another soldier flop backwards bonelessly, his helmet dotted by a pair of smoking holes that leak a mixture of blood and Grey matter.

Jakub stows the powerful charge into the support frame and hurriedly dives out of the way as a German rushes him. The unlucky kraut stumbles backward a moment later with his lungs filling with blood, a single hole in his side pumping blood.

Seems Anatoli is still watching you.

Jakub makes his way back to you as you drop the spent drum and slam in a new one
"Lets get out of here Piotr, charges are set and armed!"

>Flare Drop. Sniper Time

You pull the small, red packaged flare from your belt, yanking the cord that ignites the chemical powder within. Immediately it bursts into a green tinged flame, nearly bright enough to blind you as you drop it off the railing.

"Lets move"
You say to Jakub, leading him along at a swift trot as cracks echo out from a certain bombed out ruin. Wet smacking impacts are heard along with heavy thumps as Germans flop to the bridge surface, blood spattering the road from the high power rounds.

You slide down the ladder, your gloves nearly smoking from the friction as Jakub follows, cursing all the while as blood runs down his side.

You crouch into the tall grass as Anatolis barrage continues, cutting the Germans down whenever they peek from cover.
"Good thing we are in a warzone eh? The Germans will just think they got hit by a kill squad during the night and just report it to their superiors as they leave. Idiots."
Smirks Jakub, stuffing a rag under his jacket to stem the flow of blood.

A yelp of pain followed by a splash signals the end of the engagement. If there are any other Germans remaining on that bridge that still breathe, Theyre smart enough to keep their head down.

You crawl into the bombed out building where Anatoli is waiting for you, the detonator in his lap while he watches through his scope. He holds up a finger to stem conversation
"One second"

He takes a snap shot, blowing the top of a Germans head off before he turns toward you
"Knew I forgot one. Good work out there. I kept a close eye on you two"

You and Jakub take a moment to chuckle quietly while you conceal the entrance to the vantage point while the sky lightens toward dawn. The klaxons and alarms are finally dying down.

>THIS IS MY JOB

You reach up and snag the radio detonator from Anatoli, climbing up to a better vantage point as the light of dawn spreads through the sky. The rumble of engines and hundreds of booted feet is slowly approaching and you daydream as you wait, humming to yourself as Jakub bandages the long gouge in his side and Anatoli naps, his wool cap pulled low over his eyes.

Eventually a shout in German reaches your ears as the vanguard of the convoy comes within sight. They rush forward carefully at the sight of the slain German guards, advancing cautiously they check each body, dragging them out of the way as they clear the bridge surface, in too much of a hurry to check the underside.

The convoy lurches into motion, hundreds of soldiers marching alongside truckloads of supplies and weapons, Kreighunds and EisenSoldat marching in steelclad formation while a squad of the hulking Reichswalkers make up the center with Tanks and support vehicles bringing up the rear. You prime the detonator, waiting for the opportune moment

You somehow keep your finger away from the button, watching the front of the convoy leave the bridge. A few hundred infantry were just spared a watery grave. The Shells approach the center of the bridge, Krieghunds walking in packs while EisenSoldat march like clockwork soldiers. The massive Reichswalkers swivel their heavy guns as they follow, machinegunners sit in custom nests on the backs of the massive war machines as they stomp after their smaller brethren.

Jakub hisses up at you
"Blow the charges damnit!"

Anatoli hushes him with a glance
"The heavies are on the bridge now. They are more valuable than all those infantry and light Shells put together. "

You never take your eyes from the vantage point as the heavy shells approach the center of the bridge, the tanks following close behind as the massive war machines plod along. The Reichswalkers stand nearly forty feet high, each arm dedicated to a massive cannon or linked autocannons. Kill tallies are etched in the side of each walkers hull. Some have dozens of tallies marked in their black paint. The tanks and Spiders follow like spawn following their mother, seeking the protection the massive Shells offer

>KABOOM.

You wait until the first heavy Shell has almost reached the edge of the bridge when you hit the detonator. Red and orange flowers bloom along the bottom of the bridge as the powerful explosives rip the supports from their mounts and shred the concrete and steel above. The bridge lurches, shaking crazily as the Shells attempt to regain their balance as several tanks desperately reverse in an attempt to get back to safety as the bridge begins falling apart. Chunks of concrete and steel rip free, followed by thrashing Shells, sinking beneath the surface with massive splashes as the hungry river swallows them whole. With a rumbling crack the first bridge support shatters under the stress, dumping the closer end of the bridge into the river. Tanks spin as they fall, their treads spinning uselessly before they impact the water with impacts similar to bombs.

The rest of the bridge follows soon after, chunks of concrete followed by a thrashing Shell, screaming infantry or a tank still trying to drive on air.

You, Anatoli and Jakub cheer, exchanging high fives and grins before packing your gear and making your way out the back, ducking low and making your way back to the safehouse.

You dash through the streets, making sure the coast is clear before switching to the next piece of cover as you go. The majority of the city is active now with Germans rushing everywhere, attempting to rescue soldiers from the river, searching for those responsible. You hear more than a few gunfights as you go, the Germans cracking down on anyone caught in the streets.

They dont catch your group however. Not even close. With every step you get farther away from the German perimeter, their gunfights facing the other way as the tighten a net with nothing in it.

You make your way back to the safehouse a bit after noon, your legs cramping and sweat pouring down your back as you nearly collapse onto a bench within the warren of tunnels. A medic drags the protesting Jakub away to tend him while Anatoli heads off to get some rest.

As the team leader you need to report success to Tatyana in the coms room and as you enter the cluttered room her face lights up as she approaches you

"We located and infiltrated the bridge area without incident, ma'am. Using the underside of the bridge we managed to set several charges without being discovered. However as our last charge was set we were stumbled upon by a wandering soldier on break who managed to injure Jakub before being killed. We were forced to kill everyone on the bridge where Jakub set the charges while under fire before evacuating successfuly to safe distance thanks to Anatolis sniper support. There we awaited the german forces, they crossed the bridge seemingly in a hurry, almost ignoring the bodies of there comrades. We were able to eliminate a large concentration of heavy tanks and Reichswalkers, including several veteran heavy Shells and Aces. Their support vehicles were also cut off, however a few hundred infantry and light shells were able to pass. They are now trapped on the other side of the river with limited food, ammunition and fuel"
You say proudly, looking her in the eye as you mark on the map where the soldiers managed to cross.

She blinks several time before grinning broadly, smiling up at you with an ecstatic expression as she hurriedly makes several notes on her clipboard
"Tha-that is excellent news Piotr! You have done above and beyond what we hoped! Command will be immensely impressed with this! Now you go and get some rest! I insist, Youre dead on your feet."
She says with a forceful push towards the door. She gives you a brilliant smile as you leave the coms room, headed toward your bunk

You head into the kitchen area where you have a moment to take in the crowd of resistance fighters awaiting you before you are swept up by a cheering group of men and women, hoisting you so high you ram your head into the rocky ceiling. They bounce you on their shoulders in celebration before depositing you on a table where a glass of vodka is pushed into your hand.

Dmitri climbs up next to you, clapping you on the shoulder in pride as he calls out to the room
"Congratulations on a job VERY well done by Piotr here, Jakub and Anatoli! They PERSONALLY sent hundreds of the Kaisers men to the bottom of the river and trapped hundreds more! Truly a great blow against the enemy! TO PIOTR!"
He yells, raising his own glass before downing it

The crowd cheers, many draining their own glasses while you toss back your own, the potent alcohol searing your throat like fire as the crowd cheers again. Dmitri hops down and waves over a cook
"Get that man a big meal, looks like hes about to eat someone if he doesnt get some food soon"
He whispers in his ear while the cook smirks.

Soon a plate of food is brought to you, heaped with fried potatos and pickled vegetables and boiled sausage. You tear into the meal as people crowd around you, clamoring to hear the story from the new hero

You immediately launch into a rousing story about the mission, detailing the fight through the underside of the bridge. Jakubs vicious fight against a dozen German shocktroopers armed only with his knife. The crowd oohs and ahs as you describe standing heroically on a pile of German corpses, firing a captured heavy machine gun under each arm, mowing down entire German assault teams. Your voice drops as you tell them, surrounded by enemy soldiers, the end had been near when Anatoli had delivered death upon them with his eagle eyed accuracy, taking down 4 German soldiers with a single shot. They grow hushed as you tell them how, when the detonator failed you yourself had set off the explosives with a well placed rocket, sending hundreds of the Kaisers finest to the bottom of the river.

They cheer at the conclusion to your completely honest story, clapping you on the back in excitement. Drinks are pushed into your hand and and you notice a certain brown haired comms technician smiling at you from the doorway.

"A dozen shocktroopers? Jakub fared very well for himself then."

You stutter, caught red handed as you attempt damage control
"Well-ah... You see... What happened was.."

She cuts you off without mercy
"And fighting back to back with Jakub, A captured machine gun in each hand? Against how many Germans? 3? Four hundred?"

The heat of your face could melt the armor of a heavy shell as she plows on.
"And that bit about knocking two Germans out with a single blow, sending them to drown in the river below? So heroic I nearly bit my tongue containing my cheers"
She says, eyes twinkling in amusement.
"Here you go 'Big Hero'. A pair of vouchers for one requisition each. Within reason mind you!"
She says sternly, shaking a delicately filed nail in your face as you shamefaced take the vouchers from her

The problem with that is, that as a resistance right now we're hidden in the shadows doing guerilla warfare. The germans don't know where we're based so we can always strike them and make sure we don't get attacked. As soon as we start occupying physical military assets we become a target for an assault. Before taking an airfield or a base or whatever that make us vulnerable we should go retrieve some shells that fell in the river to build up our fire power.

You make your way to the cavernous garage where the Chief mechanic reigns supreme. Dozens of Shells are being pepped for tonights rampage across the city. Ammo feeds are disassembled and calibrated, hydraulics are tested with intense precision, engines are disemboweled and given a final once over. In the center of the maelstrom of activity stands Aleksi, conducting the chaos with a wrench and his booming voice. He notices you and passes the maestros seat to one of his senior assistants.
"Piotr! Piotr my friend! You have returned to us safely! Aha this is good my friend very good! You have come to see your White Partisan yes? Yes! Come my friend come!"
He bellows, grabbing you by the arm and dragging you like a ragdoll as he bulls his way through the chaos.

He sets you back on your feet before the berth of White Partisan, extending his arms in pride at the freshly repairer Shell.
"She had a fault in the timing for the ammo feed it seems. I was ashamed to have missed that the first time. But now Piotr... Now she is perfect. I tested her weapons myself. They are fast, they are accurate and they are DEADLY!!"

Yes, but a majority of their heavy and super heavy Shells are currently in the River. Meaning even two 30mm cannons will be plenty.

It may hurt our sheer shell on shell capacity but it does increase our survival chance from flying death

lets see what he has to offer. I'd also like to see if we can take some ammo that is not standard, but not so rare as to cause us to consume an upgrade.

suggestion:
Incindiary/ Trancers: get some of these thrown into the mix. why? The laser like effect of the tracers serves to draw attention and help make a legend. The Incendiary rounds let us start numerous small fires even if we just spritz an area with some lead. true we loose out on AP value, but considering that the shells we will be fighting are likely not going to be heavies, we are golden at 30mm, also consider that the more chaos we cause the more gas and supplies they burn, soon the enemy sits with a hollow force of shells that cant afford to move.

Equipment request: Remote Demolition Charge. We are fast in the White Partisan, hard to hit. Why not carry a few demolition charges that would allow us to ambush an enemy who is chasing us, or crack the hull of a larger, tougher enemy?

see pic related: now scale it up to be about 400-500lbs of home made, hand packed love.

ill supoort these, smoke dischargers to break line of sight and cover movement. Also creating a mixed shell link allowing one of our three 30mm to fire HEI (high -ex incendiary) rounds. still enough to dent and burn through light armor, but devastating against building, infantry, and stationary emplacements. hei were very common in WW2, fyi.

>Snag some lunch for yourself and Jakub.

You push through the ever crowded kitchen/mess area and snag a pair of small plates and load them down with some freshly cooked (and freshly stolen) German rations. Say what you will about the krauts, they feed their soldiers well.

You raise the plates high to avoid them being bumped as you push through the crowds, headed toward the makeshift hospital built into a sub basement.

The scent of antiseptic and old blood greets you as you enter the hospital, various small cots separated by cloth barriers as wounded resistance fighters are tended by dedicated self trained medics or the rare surviving doctor.

Some men lay on their cots, limbs either wrapped in bandages or ending far too shortly. Some have thick masses of bandages on their chest or bellies, thighs and heads. Stitches and staples dot their flesh, holding terrible wounds shut.

You spot your quarry, leaning up in his cot, glowering at a medic who is attempting to change his bandages

"If you poke me with another Fucking needle im going to gut you"
Growls Jakub, revealing a sharpened spoon from his blankets.

The medic barely reacts, gripping Jakubs arm as he yanks away the mass of cloth, revealing a thick red mass of stitches and angry tissue from the passing bullet.

"Seems to be inflamed but.."
A probing tool and a disgusting sniff later
"Does not seem to be infected. We will provide antibiotics and monitor you for the next few days"
Says the medic, already preparing some new bandages

Jakub groans, falling back as he sees you.
"Piotr you may as well put me out of my misery as I am going to die of boredom here"
He groans piteously, wincing as the bandages are tightened

you extend the plate loaded high with mashed potatoes, canned vegetables and some kind of dried meat boiled to tender. Its a far cry above the typical food given to recovering fighters as you can tell by Jakub snatching it like a starving animal. He uses the sharpened spoon to shovel food down his gullet with an impressive (if disgusting) lack of restraint.

His mouth stuffed full of food and dripping grease you make your move
"Its amazing. Willing to charge headfirst into gunfire, fight Germans with nothing but a knife and carry packs of rather unstable explosives around yet terrified of a little needle. Such a brave hero aha!!"
You laugh, sitting well out of his reach as he makes an irritated swipe with his spoonshank, flicking gravy onto your legs.

"Doanligneedul"
Manages to escape his lips as he struggles to swallow the mass of food.

"And threatening to 'spoon' that poor medic. Im sure he has prettier patients to worry about coming onto him without you here"
You smile at his impotent fury, held back by potent painkillers and a rapidly filling belly

"Gonki'yooisware"
Manages to escape the quagmire of potato in Jakubs maw as another mass of food is deposited. The laughter in his eyes assures you your jugular is safe for now.

That done you stand and salute the Partisan flag before filing out of the staging area and headed towards the garage. You have a choice to make.

You single out the men assigned to team 3, a group of Assault shell pilots, infantry in gun trucks and grenadiers. Men like these need a heavy to rally around and that's the job for you.

They nod in appreciation as you insert yourself into their midst, leading the way to the garages. Cheers of impending victory sound across the safehouse as Shells and vehicles roar to life.

You climb into White Partisans cockpit, noting the paired canister launchers on its sides as you seal yourself into the armored Shell. The engine roars to life, surging with power as you test the hydraulics and ammo feeds, each performing smoothly as you hoped.

With a collective roar of "FURY" you storm from the safehouse garage at the head of nearly a dozen Shells, a pack of gun trucks and several squads of infantry armed with grenade launchers and shotguns.

You march at the head of the attack team, watching the other four assault groups spread out through the city for their own targets.

You approach the Shell garages used by the German "Peacekeeper forces". Most of the ones stored there will be light Shells used for patrols and escorts.

You tilt White Partisan forward at a full run, pounding down the road toward the gates. The gunners in the watchtowers, yelling in fear and alarm open up with their machineguns. Bullets plunk from your armor harmlessly as you impact the gate like a oversized battering ram.

With a resounding crash the gates are torn off their hinges, falling like toling bells. As you enter the Shell garage courtyard you notice a thick red splatter emerging from under the fallen gates. Seems some Germans couldn't get out of the way in time. A heavy caliber bullet skids off of your armor as you turn. A Pair of Eisensoldat are emerging from the garage and opening fire on you.

You launch White Partisan into movement, the engine roaring as the Shell jumps forward, strafing around the German shells as they fire. Their fire goes wide as you circle around, the large bullets gouging and cracking the stone behind you. You turn as you go, firing at the bulky German assault Shell, the burst of large caliber bullets punching through the armor of its side. The lurch it gives and the puff of black smoke and steam from the engine gives away the mortal injury. Its movements slow as the engine begins overheating.

Your troops pour in through the gates, blowing the Watchtowers with a pair of grenade bundles each as they storm the garage, firing at anything that moves.

I agree but my point was that with the smoke, the description says that we can use it twice per encounter. Each major battle would be an encounter I'd imagine so we aren't really at risk of running out. I'm not sure if the same applies to the rockets, probably not but that's up to OP

Ha! German pussies! Totally ineffectual in the face of our overwhelming Polish strength!

You set White Partisan on a wide stance, flicking the button that activates your anti armor rockets. You sight down at the Support EisenSoldat, it and its limping assault Counterpart firing and you now that you are finally still.

You swear in relief as their shots glance harmlessly off your armor, leaving nothing but scratches in the paint as you thumb the trigger, firing the rocket straight into the Supports engine compartment. The explosion sets off the shells fuel and ammunition storage, rending the Shell in half, spewing flaming metal and burning fuel across the German soldiers taking cover around it. The assault Shell lurches, engine chugging as it attempts to close the distance and engage you in a suicidal rush.

The assault shell is the only one left. You gibbed the Support shell with a rocket to the vitals

I don't he could actually stand up

>Knock him down.

You look at the stumbling Assault Shell with pity as it attempts to charge you. A sidestep and the equivalent of a bitchslap later the Assault Shell is facedown, its arms unable to push it back up with its rapidly dying engine losing power. You turn the sights of your autocannons to the infantry that remain.

After a burst from your main gun reduces a particularly foolish rocketeer to chunky mush the rest of them throw down their arms, backing away with arms raised.

Shoot them all, have half the men take the Krieghunds, the others half secure the depot/move the rest of the shells

I mean sure this too if it seems like we have enough men to loot the place but we need to remember this is a side objective, We've got two more places to go and the river has Heavy Shells that are being recovered.
>>
>>1959721
Actually sure let them go but my second point still stands

>Shoot them all, take the krieghunds

If this were not a diversionary strike or the beginning of our assault, then yes, take them prisoner or let them run.

But at this point, we cannot, and I mean cannot, have a mass of German troops running around when we have an important recovery mission to protect and who know our team's composition and heading.

Mercy is nice, but in this instance....it's tactically stupid to let them go.
>>
>>1959707
>let them go, front line infantry aren't monsters. Take everything that isint nailed down. Make sure they have no weapons. our next targets will be facing a more heavily armed group.
>>
>>1959783

Yes, talk about us and give away our heading and group's composition, thereby compromising the mission

>>1959721

And now we have an effective german infantry group rushing to their nearest reinforcements to cause problems for us later on, other groups, or the recovery team.

People, you do NOT take prisoners when you are hitting multiple targets as part of a diversionary force.

And you do NOT let enemy combatants go at the beginning of a mission either!

not when the rest of our team has been put into shells makes it alot easyer
>>
>>1959821

Yes, because those surviving krauts aren't going to realize we took their shells and relay that information...
>>
>>1959828
We can destroy any radio towers etc in the area on our way out. Warn them to take cover and not come out until the fight is done, maybe even trap them in a building as we leave?
>>
>>1959840

Make them cross their hearts and pinky-swear! Then they definitely won't do it!
>>
>>1959848
Hence the trapping them in the building or something. Honestly I don't care much whether we kill them or not, I see the pros and cons for both ideas
>>
>>1959707
>>Let them go, take the Light Shells

>>1959828
we want them to come arfter us and not the teams stealling there haver shells
>>

We can't just leave a bunch of infantry to shoot our guys another day, but killing surrenders doesn't feel right either. How about we get our infantry to shoot each of these guys in the leg?

We take them out of the fight, let the Germans know we're in their backyard taking Shells AND waste a bunch of medical supplies patching up soldiers that we may never even see again.
>>
>>1959707
kill/capture and take all the shells we can.
>>
>>1959851
same, but i'd argue at just stripping the building and trapping them. Leave one or two of our guys behind to contain the prisoners or execute them if they get out of line. With the added mechs we bring significant force multipliers. the stay behinds will be similarly armed.

We are also moving in what is a seemingly random pattern.
>>1959828
see
>>1959863
we are a diversionary force. we want to be seen, to cause havoc, and draw attention. Leaving survivors solves that, but they have no bead on the direction.
>>
>>1959932
probably the best choice. Leaves them in a bad way with a lot of injured troops. Very vietnamish strategy. Though go for the foot, you bleed out slower, and the injury is life long. They wont ever be back to fight.
>>
>>1960042
This might take a bit of time though. Even half a minute is half a minute that let's the enemy reorganize and reduces the chaos
>>
>>1960062
our objective is initially: expanding on the thought if we are in good shape, and to see what others think.

>Chaos team 3- targets- Fuel depot, Shell Garages, Mayors office, German Commandants Estate.

the other two targets, if we can snag them would be the officer housing and airfield hangers. Without an airfield they cant do airlift resupply, and without officers the enlisted are much less organized and or motivated to get told to go die. In effect the remaining things we did not destroy become assets in terms of a drain on enemy resources and moral.
