You are a three eyed kid who joined a pirate crew full of zombies on a haunted pirate ship. You are among the few among the crew who aren't zombies. So far you have visited the first island since you left home. The island is actually an island chains with terrible waters between them and many sheer cliffs with menacing overgrown mountains. It is a refuge of villainy and a largest arms maker in all of North Blue.

Here the crew made land fall purchasing weapons and trying to track down a cursed Gunsmith. In the end you were the one who found the gunsmith and on the way you stumbled upon a devil fruit known as the Wood Wood Devil Fruit. An elemental Logia type of bizarre nature in that it is a living element and ate it once you identified what it was. The power however is a complex one and it didn't take you long to run into problems.

Hence why you tracked down the one known as Doctor Sicko the man with the largest bounty on the entire crew even higher then that of the Captain himself. Despite is intimidating appearance he is actually a pacifist who hates fighting and likes to help to help people. You still haven't figured out how he ended up a member of this ship's crew. He is also the smartest member of the crew. He pointed out some weaknesses of your devil fruit power and stated that if you wanted to master your devil fruit's abilities it would be best if you understood botany.

That was why you ended up hunting for some botany books. Sadly the few books in town very few of them were about botany. Only good news is there was a book about the island's local plant life.

guess this is our life now. Although seeing how we have a good understanding of poisons thanks to the doc and I know a lot of plants in the real world are poisonous and god only knows what kind of fucked up super plants exist in the one piece world... I think we might have a good combo going for us. all we need to do is figure out how to grow thorns on ourselves and make it so that they inject people with poison or find out how to make spore bombs filled with some kind of biohazard plant and we could really ruin someone's day. Also seeing how the doc can make zombies how likely do you think we could make something like the infectious fungus from "the last of us" down the line?

Well looks like you were able to find all the rare plants except for the mythic ones.

Samples were collected. Rare plants. Poisonous plants especially since you knew how to handle poisons. After collecting your samples of leaves, branches, roots, seeds, and even some living specimens you carefully carried them back to the ship.

Truthfully collecting all those plants was quite the time consuming process. Especially trying to find those rare specimens to the longest. Back at the ship you noticed there was...a giant sitting on it. While there was a bunch of zombies who were stuffing themselves full of food and only drinking a little bit. Weapons were being passed around as the Captain began his speech.

"Alright boys we got ourselves a few targets. Some pirate ships have been so kind as to be undermanned this night and we are gonna 'borrow' them for ourselves. Remember we need at least ONE ship. Preferably more. Remember to only attack the ships that have just been loaded full of weaponry and supplies."

"Whatever you do DON'T sink the damned things. We want sea worthy vessels here and if you can by some miracle find a giant sized ship tell me right away. How grab the baby den den mushi's. If your in a bind radio for the first mate whose busy recruiting or Doc. Only call me if its an emergency. I got things to do."

After that the Captain busied himself in a mountain of machinery parts. While the rest of the zombie crew started heading out in loose groups towards their targets.

You depart with the group who apparently are going to attack a smuggler ship. The prospect of it having the best loot was a serous consideration and you almost went for the large pirate ship. Which apparently snake boy chose as he went off with them.

The zombies for their part were tireless and you were already worn out from your earlier activities. You had a tough time keeping up with them as they strode onward. Thus it was of no surprise you ended up falling behind. Far enough back that you heard the fight start without you.

Eventually you caught up and looked. The zombies were fighting the smugglers of whom was more then there were suppose to be. Fortunately the smuggler ship wasn't a large one so there weren't a ton of crew. The zombies were thus able to gain ground and took them out one by one.

The smugglers considered fleeing with their ship when zombies came out from the water and climbed aboard. Making the prospect of escaping them futile. The smugglers were also used to running away over fighting and that wasn't even including the powers of the zombies.

You pull out your pistol and shoot. Not really expecting to hit anyone given the distance. Unexpectedly you noticed your shot hit a smuggler and caused him to fall off with a splash into the sea from the boat. Apparently those lessons really did you good after all. You got to keep up your practice shooting. It will be mighty helpful once you figure out shoot plant bullets from your body.

After that you reloaded and kept on shooting. Only hitting some zombie crewmen twice and missed plenty of times, but some of those times you hit the smugglers. Until finally the only ones who remained were the zombie pirates as the smugglers fled away from their own ship. Resulting in the cheers of the pirates as they start to prepare to set sail while looting the fallen, and packing away the wounded. Even the smuggler wounded weren't left behind if they weren't able to flee with their comrades.

Giving you time to reach the ship before it set off. Heading back to the haunted pirate from the looks of it.

You search the ship besides the main cargo hold being full of guns, cannons, and gunpowder you don't find much. There is an infirmry with medical supplies. Some sea charts and navigator equipment. A clearly false cargo manifest in the Captain's quarters.

Then you remember your dealing with smugglers.

Realizing that you grabbed a crowbar and a stethoscope. That was when you started the long process of knocking on wood planks while listening with a stethoscope. Then using a crowbar to pull out some boards to see what's inside.

Sure enough that is when you found stuff.

Everywhere.

In the cargo hold, in the walls, under the floors, in the ceiling, even the fucking boarding rails weren't spared from the secret compartments. By the end of it you are POSITIVE you still missed stuff but in order to find it would probably require dismantling the entire ship piece by piece.

That was how you discovered the smugglers were moving drugs, illegal books, illegal items, and their 'cash' reserve was kept in the form of untraceable gemstones. Smart bastards. Meaning the pile of cash on deck was nothing but a cover for stupid robbers. What was strange though was the many papers and notebooks stashed in those smuggler holds. All it contained was information.

...valuable information. That was more then likely illegal. Including Marine supply routes. When they were moving prisoners and so on.

Holy shit!

HOLY SHIT!

There were even Marine patrol routes and mission statements declaring what ships were doing what with which people. That was only part of the info that was stashed away in the smuggler ship.

Strangely enough you still haven't found the real cargo manifest.

You take your share of the loot that has since been divy upped among the zombies. Your bag was the smallest one out of everyone...of course that's because they don't know about your devil fruit power. Maybe then you'll get a pay raise.

After that you grabbed a few of the illegal books. Including some stuff about the manufacture of poisons. Something about Poneglyphs among other texts that the WG frowns upon. Including strangely a Technique book referred to as 'Chaos Fist'.

After that you organized all the notebooks and papers you found that contained info. After that you watched the water and island fly past as you approached the haunted ship. Apparently your the first ship to arrive as you dock and the zombies grab prisoners to bring them to land.

The Captain meanwhile was standing with Zane over a long organized rows of strange looking firearms as you approach with the info.

"Think these will work," asks the Captain to Zane. "Keep in mind we are talking zombie strength here."

"If it was an ordinary man shooting them would result in broken and dislocated bones. What even gave you this insane idea anyway?"

"The Giant," simply answers the Captain as he scratches his chin. "But you know they don't look menacing enough to me."

"You fucking kidding me they are giant hand cannons, shotguns, and rifles that look like they need to be attached to something solid before being able to safely fire. How are they NOT menacing enough? After this we can give every zombie this abominations that will make the enemy weep. Only problem is ammo for the rifles. Gonna have to make them special because nobody is gonna be selling lead shots that size."

"Damn shame my pirates are too weak to fire a cannon as a gun," agrees the Captain. "Logistics would be much simpler that way."

"So how's your progress on the scopes?"

"Short scopes are one thing, long scopes are a tricky bitch. I haven't gotten them figured out yet. Goddamn magnifying is a bitch to get just right. Say do you think you can customize their appearance? I need something to fit the motif."

"I'm a gunsmith not a bloody artist," explains Zane.

"Ah your no fun. Where's your sense of artistry?"

"Uh Captain I have something that you are gonna want to see," you interrupt giving in after seeing that they would probably continue on for a good while.

"Eh Three Eyed Brat better be goo-"," the Captain begins before you drop some notebooks before him. "Hm...wait a second these are...where did you get these?" He demands after taking a look.

"Hidden compartments on the smuggling ship. They had quite a bit on Marine activities."

"Is that so? Here I was expecting I would only find the good stuff wont we started dismantling the ship. You did good kid. I'll be taking a look at all of these, you can go now," he says waving you off. "You'll get a bonus once we all get back together."

After that you were let go until one of the Zombies answered a Den Den mushi.

Upon hearing the reply the zombie rounded up everyone who had at returned. Which at the time was the two fastest vessels. After doing so the Captain spoke up giving orders.

Meanwhile at the Marine Ship which they severely underestimated the size of. A certain Captain upon seeing the size of it squeeled like a little girl before screaming "ITS PERFECT". Simply because it could easily fit a giant.

It also explained why the zombies who attacked it were in such deep shit. There was a LOT of marines present moving cargo and guarding their treasures.

It was a rather important ship being charge of collecting the vast quantity of weapon purchases by the Marines for their troops and ships. It was then to transport them back to the shipyards and major Marine bases to arm them. The dumb pirates though it was just a normal marine ship and the Captain due to desperately wanting that Giant decided to attack it anyway, because giants.

The Captain however was not a stupid man. Upon seeing the Marines he soon realized it was going to be a very fierce fight. He gave orders as newly recruited marksman took to the trees and cliffs to fire down upon the marines. While melee zombies strangely enough dived into the ocean while 'reinforcements' dived into the grand melee to help their comrades who were getting swarmed.

Then the Captain himself took action using his power.

Suddenly the ship's main turret cannons started to swivel...and fire upon their own forces. Completely shocking the confused Marines when their own advanced weapons suddenly turned on them for seemingly no reason.

Meanwhile a Captain wearing the Marine Jacket like a cloak finally looked up from his game of Go at the incident of friendly fire and sighed. "Ah Devil Fruit user. Just my luck."

After that he disappeared and reappeared upon the deck as he stared at the cliffs. Trying to spot the Devil user.

The Captain meanwhile then proceeded to jam the Marine guns and cannons. Causing explosive misfires and kept on using their own guns against them. When suddenly a certain Marine Captain leaped and started to run up the cliff straight towards him.

"Oh fuck," says the pirate Captain seeing the Marine Captain charging right at him while rutting up such sheer cliffs. He naturally unleashed his built in guns and fired at him. Sadly the Marine Captain saw it coming and dodged out of the way. Not stopping his charge as he prepared to draw his sword.

"Oh shit he's a melee type," curses the Pirate Captain as he starts lobbing bombs like there is no tomorrow. "BOOM BOOM TIME MOTHERFUCKER," he shouts. As the detonations explode all around the Marine Captain making it impossible to dodge.

The pirates smiled when they saw the Marine Captain consumed by the explosions. This did not however stop the Marine Captain as he charged out of the explosion like it was nothing. Even though he was now clearly wounded resulting in the pirates cursing as they chucked more bombs at him. Sadly they didn't make it in time as the Marine Captain appeared among them and charged at the Captain. Slicing apart zombies on the way.
>>
Rolled 93 (1d100)

>>1957412
The pirate Boss responded by lifting up his built in cannons and out spewed forth scattershot. Shredding everything in front him in a mighty hail of bullets. While also seemingly making it impossible to dodge. The Marine Captain did his best to dodge while using his sword to parry bullets as well.

"Fucking hell you're the real deal now aren't you? Not like the usual damned Captains," speaks the Pirate Boss as he lobs out some more bombs.

"Nope and I am afraid our game must end here," replies the Pirate Captain coldly. As he finds a weakness in the bomb barrage and cuts in half the only bomb that stands in his way.

The Pirate Boss however merely smiled and said "Gotcha."

BOOOOM

This time the explosion was far larger and more potent then ever before. Instantly forming a massive crater while sending zombies and the Pirate Boss himself flying.

Somehow this STILL did not stop the Marine Captain. As he appeared within the crater and just kept on coming.

"FUCK are a bloody zombie goddamn," curses the Pirate Captain as he prepares to release another Bomb++ Barrage. This time however the Marine Captain dodged out of the way and carefully parried the bombs he couldn't dodge out of the way. Sadly this also resulted in a explosive chain reaction that consumed him in yet another great

BOOOM.

Strangely however the bombs that were out of range kept on flying...and then sank down towards the fight going on below.

Yet again however the Marine Captain was still alive. Just more wounded then before.

"Goddamn it your hard to kill ain'tcha? Pity though," sighs the Pirate Captain. "You're men aren't like that...shame about all those bombs you just let fly right passed you. Completely unmolested. Guess you don't care about them much now do yah," taunts the Pirate Boss while the rest of the nearby pirate zombies start to laugh at the 'hilarious' situation.

For the first time the Marine Captain's face went pale, but not due to blood loss.

"Tick Tock Tick Tock. What you will do...Captain? Will you keep fighting me or try to save your men?" Points out the Pirate Boss as he prepares himself either way.

"So long as you are not brought to Justice they will not be the last," decides the Marine Captain ignoring the series of massive detonations and screams of Marines from behind him as he once again comes.

"Damn your even more coldblooded then many pirates I know Mister Marine," taunts the Boss when he drops the next surprise. A series of metal balls rolled on the ground. On instinct the Marine Captain avoided them and jumped along the trees to avoid them. When some of them closest to him suddenly go 'pop'. Releasing metal wire shooting everywhere explosively. Shredding the grounds and tearing even the trees into the tiny pieces. The Marine Captain did his best to dodge but soon realized all the trees that weren't blown up were cut into tiny pieces by them. Instead he swung his sword slicing them apart.

Once again the Pirate smiled and spoke.
>>
>>1957454
Entirely on instinct the Marine Captain suddenly dodged out of the way with everything he had.

The Pirate Captain laughed out "Fooled yah." As he threw a water balloon. that exploded when they hit the wires that were flying everything. Wetting the the Marine Captain's sword and nearby wires. Suddenly the wires weren't just sharp...they became oh so very sticky. As he cut through the wires they started to stick and stick. As they touched the ground they too became sticky.

That was when naturally a water bomb went off. Turning the entire area into a sticky sharp mess. With the Pirate Captain right in the middle of it and the Marine Captain on the outskirts as he panted. Trying to figure out what to do.

"Aww...is Mister Marine stuck? Poor Mister Marine," teases the Pirate Captain. You know you can run right? But the question is will you or will you just keep on fighting this hopeless battle."

"...Justice does not surrender," spits out the Marine Captain as he carefully studies the field.

"You don't get it do you? I have been several steps ahead of you this entire time. You been dancing to my tune this whole time. Now you are caught in my web."

"...Web...no it can't be."

That was when the Pirate Captain smiled one last time.

"Trap Technique Web of Death."

"Spider? IMPOSSIBLE!"

the wires that laid suddenly started to twitch and spark as they suddenly attracted to each other...and completely surrounded the Marine Captain whose only escape was the air. Just as he thought about leaping he saw bombs that were right in the middle of the air.

"Sorry Marine Captain but I ain't the real Boris Klein and since you figured that out I can't let you leave here alive. Nothing personal mind you but take solace in the fact that you were skilled enough to make me bring out a web."

"Heh...Gotcha you son of a bitch," smiles the Marine Captain as the webs descend upon him from all around and the bombs rain down. Hidden in his coat was a Den Den Mushi that was turned on.

Shortly after in a Marine Base a base on a bounty a name was being scratched out and replaced with UNKNOWN.

"Is it a false identity or did he steal one?"

"Those kind of techniques...I never heard of anything like it among pirates and what is this 'Spider'?"

"He is very effective at planning ahead and laying down traps. That was one of the strongest Marine Captains in all of the North Blue. How much should we raise the bounty?"

"He has a real gift for explosives and traps. He is a dangerous pirate all right."

"Keep the name on the bounty. We don't want him to realize we are onto him."

"We are gonna need to call Cipher Pol aren't we?"

Do you think we're going to stick with the crew all the way to the end or do you guys think once we become a powerhouse in our own right we'll find our own ship and crew? You followed the zombies to the large pirate ship. Once you got there you notice the fighting as descended into a large chaotic brawl. With the Pirate Captain and a few other elite pirates causing havoc. They could actually put up a fight against the mighty zombies. The rest of their crew on the other hand...not so much, but they had the advantage of numbers.

Sadly more zombies just arrived and you noticed Doc was already there calmly approach the Captain while attending to the wounded. Seeing that he was no threat and even patched up his own people. The enemy pirates largely ignored Doc. Allowing him to close in.

Until Doc was the only one still standing near the Captain. As his mighty blows sent everyone else flying or crushed them into the ground with his large iron mallet. There was only Doc who was patching up the enemy fallen. Doc then spoke in his strange hazy muffled voice from within the suit.

"Is this fighting really necessary?"

"Hm...which side are you on and of course it is they are trying to steal my ship!"

"Sides...I suppose you could say I am with your enemy, but I am a pacifist."

This caught the enemy pirate captain off guard. "Your the enemy...yet you declare yourself a pacifist while so brazenly walking in the middle of a battlefield attending to the wounded of even your enemy? What the hell is wrong with you!"

"It is not me that is wrong for caring about lives. It is the world which so arbitrarily decides why someone else must die for whatever the reason. It always provides reason to kill. Reason to call suffering. I am a...was a doctor. I refuse to be part of the problem and I refuse to stand by while I still have the strength to help."

"..." The pirate clearly didn't know how to respond to this flagrant declaration of his enemy. "Then...then why the hell did you become a pirate then?" He couldn't resist asking now quite curious.

"Because i refused to let so called Justice stand in the way of providing aid to people in need," simply replies Doctor Sicko.

"...Fuck now I kinda feel bad and you bastards were the ones who started it even. Why the hell do you need my ship so badly then huh?"

"Its simple really more ships mean more people and able to carry more supplies. Why do you need it?"

"To find One Piece of course!"

"Treasure. How typical of a Pirate."

"Hey now your also a bloody pirate. Sorry but as much as I sympathize with you. Your not taking my ship. So now lets fight!"

"I wouldn't do that if I were you," says Doc still at work patching up the fallen. "I don't fight."

"Heh then I'll easily win now wont I?"

"No you wont. You wont even have the chance to because I don't fight."

"Huh what the hell is tha-oh why do I feel so dizzy all of a sudden...and weak. What...what the hell did you fucking poison me you cheating bastard," complains the Pirate Captain unable to hold his weapon as it slips loose from his grasp.

"Not poison," answers the Doctor Sicko. "Your just sick."

"Fuck you," curses the Pirate Captain as sweat starts pouring off him as he struggles to remain standing.

"Don't worry its nothing serious. See just as I said. I don't fight. I'm a pacifist. I don't believe in fighting. It only hurts both sides and I am a doctor. I made an oath even if I may no longer be acknowledged as one. I haven't forgotten that oath."

"So what...you make the enemy too weak to fight you? Fuck you. FUCK YOU GODDAMN ASSHOLE." Shouts the Pirate Captain as he collapses onto the ground.

"Is that really such a bad thing? Your not hurt and fighting proved completely unnecessary."

"Fuck...your a bloody monster. The worst kind of fucking nightmarish monster from the deepest bowels of hell. The kind that you can't even fight. I'll...I'll remember this," utters the pirate Captain before passing out.

"...Everyone calls me a monster. If even I am a monster what does that make all of you?" Asks Doctor Sicko to the world as he works. Having never stopped even once despite risk to his personal health.

Seeing this you can't help but shutter. You have to admit you agree with that Pirate Captain. What a fucking monster. The kind who doesn't fight...simply because there isn't even a need to. A so called 'pacifist'.

You decide to follow the snake who is apparently having a very bad day. The two forces seem evenly matched and the giant snake isn't making a lick of difference. Turns out he ain't used to fighting like a pure snake and then his body shifts. Suddenly arms appear and his upper body distorts. Forming a humanoid appearance with snake like head.

Hybrid form from the looks of it. Now he started to get somewhere but his lack of skill is really hampering him. So he simply settles for tail slaps and shooting with guns in face. An effective strategy even for a Cabin Boy.

You can't help but envy his ability to actually use his devil fruit power worth a damn. As is you struggle to simply not turn green. Whichmb is hard work. Sadly as you closed in to follow him you drew attention. Attention in close quarters. Your weakness.

As you ponder the useful of dropping poisons amidst your own troops. They came at you and when you kicked back at them while you drew your pistol something...happened. Suddenly your leg extended into a meaty tree trunk and WHAM. Sending the pirate flying back feet lifting off the ground as your leg returns back to normal. You couldn't help but stare for a bit and then try it again.

Alas failure.

How did you even do that damn it...when another pirate showed up. As you threw a fist your fist suddenly turned into some clenched fines and whack. A solid hit to the face that sadly didn't send him flying like with that kick. It did however stun him enough for you to shoot him in said face.

This was not going according to plan and your control of your power is nonexistent. You don't even know how you did those two things much to your annoyance.

Sadly the fight still seems to be rather evenly matched. At least until the wounded zombies now patched up by doc and new recruited zombies started to rejoin the melee. At this point the pitch equal battle was finally starting to shift in your side's favor. All thanks to a Doc patching people up so they can go on ahead and fight more.

According to Lore the only theoretical devil fruit with power over other devil fruits besides Blackbeards cheat of a fruit would be a Devil Devil fruit. Which if it even exists would hold some kind of special power over them.

Though I suppose if you consider the existence of SMILE and Vegapunks artifical dragon fruit theoretically something should be possible, but then again that stuff was reliant on SCIENCE! Not another Devil Fruit.

>>1958775
They don't wanna get stranded. Its not like they have another ship.
>>
>>1959017
Not even the fact that being a wood man or plant man, Giving us control over plants, would we have any control or influence on devil FRUITS. I feel like we should be able to do something because of that key connection.
>>
>>1959063
Your a logia whose Element is Wood Wood. Giving you the unique power over a LIVING Element. Which is ultimately what makes you such a bizarre Logia.

Devil fruits are beyond you unless you combine it with SCIENCE!

Or you know by some miracle you find a Hell typed Zoan fruit. Which are all Mythic tier by default. So good luck with that.

Also do anons have any move ideas for your Devil Fruit powers? You gotta come up with some techniques.
>>

NVM, answer already shown. And personally i thought about shooting people with a wood bullet that explodes into a poisonous vines that wrap around the area hit, but given more time i can think of some other stuff
>>
>>1959099
>Also do anons have any move ideas for your Devil Fruit powers? You gotta come up with some techniques.

Bark skin for added defence

thorns for added attack (maybe find a way to launch them for ranged attack)

natural poison because we know alot about poisons

spore bombs by lunching pod seeds full of spores with nasty effects on people

vine whip for range

use our plant powers to grow to the size of a giant (although if we can't shrink back down I'm probably going to be against this)

if there are any bioluminescent plants maybe find a way to make our three eye's glow to try and intimidate people, or to lunch as glowing seeds or spores to help light up an area.

these are just what I came up with on the top of my head
>>
Piercing someones body with a Wood-Sword as an arm and making it explode outward
>>
>>1959100
Nope. Devil Fruits reappear whenever their user dies. They possess a nearby fruit turning it into a Devil Fruit.

Your Captain has actually had a devil fruit for awhile its just nobody has had any point of using it. He won another devil fruit in a bet by using his own devil fruit as collateral.

Devil Fruit Users are rare however outside the Grandline but that doesn't mean they don't exist.

You yourself only ran into the one which you ate.

However you don't know what the zombie pirates intend to do with the two devil fruits they have.

>>1959111
You could probably ensure that any nearby devil fruit users who die. You can ensure the fruits that get converted are your own. Otherwise you'll just be able to create artificial devil fruits with your power.

Things get real freaky however if you consider Hell type Zoans who should have some kind of power relating to other devil fruits, but my default they would all be Mythic tier. Considering how stuff like Buddha and Angelic ones exist its safe to say that Hell type Zoans DO exist.

You would need to ask around about around though and good luck finding much info given how the entire Type would be made up of solely Mythic tier fruits.

Personally I think it would be safe to say that a Devil Devil Fruit would indeed have power over other devil fruits. Like being able to extract devil fruits from someone and detect them.

Which would also mean a Devil Devil Fruit would be Blackbeard's worst nightmare.
>>
>>1959099
oh I also thought of another attack Vine punch/kick

it's like a normal vinewhip but instead of turning our whole arm/leg into a whip we turn our fist/foot into some kind of dense wood and then have our forearm/lower leg turn into a vine to give our punches a little more range

...and yes after typing it out I realize it's basically a plant version of Luffy's gum gum pistol/whip.
>>
>>1959158
I agree with the Devil Devil Fruit and Hell type zoans, and personally believe it should be put in the story, maybe we'll run into the person who has it and fight him? That'd be cool
and its pretty fascinating that theoretically we could create artificial devil fruits naturally but it seems like that would take a lot of research and study.

And guys i thing we should start carrying around strawberries or something, if we run into a devil fruit user and are able to kill him, we could nab us said fruit.
>>1959162
Shhhhh luffy wont be born for like, 2-3 years I think. the world will never know.
>>
>>1959099
We could be one of the few devil fruit users who can go underwater safely.

Shapody's trees release the bubble resin ships use to get to the fishman village.
Since we can copy plant biology we can make our own personal bubble coat for free.
>>
>>1959120
Plants can harden their biology to naturally cut off infected parts. As such we could use that mechanism to just leave a giant plant suit when ever we wished to.
>>
>>1959373
holy hell i forgot about that, well theres one weakness thats slightly less bad now.
>>
>>1959373
Technically correct is the best kind of correct, it might be a while til we get some of those tree's tho. Hopefully we can run into some sooner or later
>>
>>1959406
we'll if we're heading to the grand line as long as we don't get blow out of the water by somebody it's going to be a must for us to stop by the island that makes them since that's the meeting point for everyone who wants to make it pass the red line.
>>
So, we could literally be a plant kraken which slinks along the sea floor walking while bubbled, and just pull ships down to their doom amoung other shenanigins.

Plant dude is a nightmare.
>>
>>1959442
pirate vs pirate fighting on the high seas on the grandline will go very very poorly for any enemy since we can just completely sink their damn ship and drown everyone of value on their ship.
first however we gotta get our shit under control since we seem to currently seriously suck ass at control as of right now.
>>
Also a way around the "your plants are your body" deal is: Seeds.

We can make seeds of the plants which we wish to use and rapid grow them before flinging them out. Basically doing the usop routine.
>>
>>1959442
you know that actually sounds like a decent plan of attack. If we get to the point where we have a huge bounty on our head and we're engaging someone or a group of someones that we can't just blow out of the water we could leave our ship and have our crew engage them while we slip off under the ocean and attack from below. I mean who the hell would expect a DEVIL FRUIT USER to attack from UNDER THE SEA?
>>
>>1959466
Comes with some risks though. If our bubble gets popped we are pretty fucked.
>>
>>1959491
which is probably why we should only use it as a sneak attack, desperation, or to plan just run away if we can carry our crew with us and don't give a damn about our ship.
>>
>>1959501
Frankly we should just grow a ship from the materials we find and coat it. Not have it part of us, but made by us, like a really weird fruit or plant cancer.
>>
>>1959521
well if it's made from us it would probably die once it touches the open sea seeing how it would still be crippled by sea water since it still is us even if a cut of and mutated part of us and even if we do coat the thing in a bubble it could still pop at any point which would leave our ship s.o.l. Especially if we're out in open sea. Now we could still make parts of the ship from us but we'd probably have to cover those parts in metal or something else so it wouldn't touch the sea directly.
>>
also doesn't that bubble crap pop once you leave the island unless you stay under water? I think even if we copy the bubble tree's effects we could only still use it at that island unless we find some science-y way to get around that.
>>
>>1959558
I was under the impression it popped once you surfaced/no longer needed it.
>>
>>1959584
yeah but I remember that luffy wanted to buy that bubble bike thing but the fish guy he was with told him it's useless off the island because the bubbles only can survive on the island. While you can use them to travel under the sea once you surface it will pop unless your near the bubble island meaning we couldn't even coat our boat with the stuff anywhere but on/near the island even if we're the ones making it.
>>
>>1959232
we can grow the fruits with our boddy
>>
>>1959705
Yeah that's what I was thinking, if we grow strawberries or blueberries or something small like that, the fruit should go into them. And if we don't like the abilities they give, we can just sell them to somebody. Or hold on to them for when we get a crew/friends of our own.
>>
>>1959720
>This is not even my final form
>>
>>1959752
oh god that's fantastic, now all we need is learn how to salsa and the image would be complete
>>
>>1959617
If we are making the bubbles ourselves, we should be able to do it in enough density for a one use dive (with enough effort). Seems keeping the bubbles alive for when we are away from shapody when above water will not be possible then.
>>
also thought up another attack (sort of)

rebirth- we plant a seed that we can sprout from in the event that we die. We emerge looking like a child but with our plant powers we can grow rather quickly. Still takes us a few days or weeks to become fully grown though and we're weaken until we're done growing.

You can create plant clones but anons keep forgetting your Living Element means getting hit hurts unlike another other Logia who isn't hit by Haki.

If you lose a clone you'll instantly get crippled from the damage feedback and possibly die with the clone from shock.

Damage feedback is real.

Your plants are alive and they are you.

Losing a plat is like having that much flesh directly cut from your body and vaporized.

Too much of that and you start going to shock and dying. Besides you know oh god the agony.

Losing a plant 'clone' is equal to experiencing death and agony that killed that you. In all likelihood the sheer shock will you kill if the damage feedback doesn't. With them combined...you will most likely die.
>>
>>1960259
>getting hit hurts unlike another other Logia who isn't hit by Haki.
So we're a Special Paramecia.
>>
Rolled 43 (1d100)

>>1960259
Now if you don't care about dying then unleashing a bunch of plant clones is totally doable. Just be aware that once that feedback loop hits you ALL die or you know just crippled from the sheer collective agony of taking all those hits.

Honestly its not even that good a suicide technique.

On the plus side by unleashing clones each clone is another you. So 1 clone equals 200% power but damage taken and pain is shared between them all. This continues on with each additional clone. So 2 clones is 300% power increase. However ALL clones basically share the same Health Pool.

Technically this is EVEN true for your ordinary plants. They ALSO share the same health pool you have.

So while your devil fruit powers have some great abilities the drawbacks are severe.

As in they will kill you level severe and are crippling level weaknesses.

For instance if someone figures out the 'pain' and 'health pool' you share among all your plants is shared imagine if someone starts to torture one of your plants? Or go's out of their way to not directly kill a clone so as to inflict you with as much backlash and drain your health pool away as possible?

Because your 'plants' are you. Your techniques are a living part of you. They take damage and you suffer too.
>>
>>1960259
So for are you saying we control that clone and anything that happens transfers to our body?
please be what I think But I doubt it
So we could say have a miniature version of us Planted some where we think will never be hurt, and keep healing us?
Or say Have one plant keep lifting and getting swole while we read/study under the doc?
>>
>>1960292
Wouldn't we just be able to wither that plant away if we know some one was going to torture us? I guess it would make sense if they put sea stone cuffs on a clone to keep it alive. But short of that, can't we wither a clone on command?
>>
Rolled 2 (1d100)

>>1960285
Haki still hurts you your just hilariously resistant to it for a Logia because its attempt to 'hit' the real you underneath it all...well its all real you, because its all alive hence you. Which means running into a Haki user wont directly result in you getting slaughtered. Rather a very confused Haki user will wonder what the fuck are you even Logia?

You are.

Its just your a Living Element typed Logia. You're not like the vast majority. Simply put this means unlike if you unleashed flames if anything happen to your flame body unless it was Haki infused you wouldn't feel it, because your 'flame' body isn't a living element when its that form. Haki bypasses this and forcefully strikes the hidden living person within it.

It doesn't work that way when the ENTIRE thing is a living element. That attempt to bypass it through haki falls flat on its face because its ALL alive. You can't just magically strike at at the 'living' person beneath it all...when its all alive. When its ALL that person.

>>1960295
complex Memories have problems transmitting over correctly but damage does.

Attempting to create a health pot only speeds up the regeneration of THAT plant. It wont carry over to the other ones unless they are directly connected together so they can share resources.

Dropping pieces of living plants is literally dropping living pieces of yourself in terms of pain and loss should something happen to it. Theoretically you can infest a whole island with your plants.

Only problem is only that island is connected together. So your other body far away wont gain fZILCH from it and besides oh FUCK its on FIRE now. That pain and damage its transmitting back is gonna really fucking hurt.

Think of it as a data transceiver. Its how your able to control the plants and see what they see.

They can only transfer data.

They can't magically transfer over all the items on them including the nutrients they stocked pile which serve as a healing potion.

because fuck that healing potion is way the fuck over there and you don't have any sort of real connection besides data. So how the fuck can it help you exactly?

So go ahead and make all the healing plants you want but unless your on the same island with a direct connection it does ZILCH for you besides reminding you that you have a healing potion over there you can't touch.

So good job with that.

Keep in mind trying to create clones in order to study will overload your data transmitters. They can only endure and comprehend so much data streams at the same time. The whole you only has so much processing power and can only transmit so much data to yourself at the same time.

>>1960309
You can but in doing so you basically sacrifice the nutrients and power you used to create in.

For a mere plant this isn't much.

However if its a plant clone instead...
>>
>>1960356
Power in that case partly includes the 'consciousness' you have attached to the plant. When you 'wither' it you basically sever the connection entirely. Losses be damned.

Meaning unless that plant was connected to the real you. You just lost that direct piece of your transmitting consciousness on it included. If its a little plant it will result in a headache and hurt quite a bit despite being such a small plant. A clone on the other hand...well you don't EVER wanna sever that much consciousness from you at once. There is a very good chance if the backlash doesn't kill you then you'll be rendered into a imbecile instead.

Its like having entire chunks of your brain cut out of your head every time. However unlike the human brain it will regenerate...eventually....very slowly.

All the while until its completely recovered you'll be stuck with a crippled mind until then.

But hey if tits just a couple tiny plants while it will hurt and be irritating. You'll live.

Big problems arise if you lose large chunks of it. Don't forget a bunch of 'little' things can really add up in the end. You loose too many and it will be the same as losing a charge chunk at once.
>>
Well I say we should Plant some plants on our ship. Talk to the captain, With them we can use them to restore our energy while out at sea after training. Helping us grow faster.
As well as Always have plants on the ship to help recover should one of our smaller plants get destroyed brutally.

So as for abilities. I feel like its obvious but
Wood bullets we shoot.
Also look into controlling our day to day power. Like restore energy from the sun. Seeing if we can do that with out turning green. So we can keep it on always while on land but I guess to a lesser degree.
We clearly have to look into reading Chaos fist, and get on to learning that. And seeing if we can combine it with our wood wood powers.
Also that trunk kick where our limbs get huge and a shit ton more mass once they hit. Possibly look into dense plants
>>
With a cloning ability we can become a one-man rifle squad. we just need to be able to handle carrying multiple rifles and ammo. Imagine, instant mass support fire for the frontline zombie fighters.
>>
>>1960961
While I like the idea, we all share one big health pool. So if a couple of them get shot back at and get hit, they all get hit.
>>
>>1960961
Honestly, learning to shoot thorns/spikes/dead sharp branches with a mulitiple plants would work, plus we wouldn't need to make full clones just shoot in waves unless we wanted full clones for that situation. In terms of starting abilities, I think bark skin, thorns, and enhanced tree limbs would be a good start. Vines and pollen(smoke) screens might be doable too but that depends how well MC learn to use these powers so they might be harder.

You decide to keep following snake. Who by now is having a slightly better time but it looks like he is gonna get stuck in the infirmary after this. You never seen any of the zombies in the infirmy. They just get patched up and released. By now snake was slamming pirates around with snake tail and was using weapons in arms. Occasionally biting someone. Snake seems busy.

You meanwhile keep on applying bullets to not zombie pirates. Occassionally hit zombie pirates but you doubt they notice it much. Its not like any of them have yelled at you about it yet. The enemy on the other hand are very vocal in their dislike of getting shot by three kid. Luckily if things get ugly you just hide behind some zombies and take pot shots.

Occasionally you unleash wooden limbs and vine slaps, but its still random.

After awhile though with doc and the new...recruited freshly made zombies that Doc made things are turning ugly for the enemy. Especially once they seen their former friends rising up to attack them. After that they started to panic and run away.

Doc meanwhile kept on being Doc. While the zombies finished off the holdouts before heading to the pirate ship. After grabbing the fallen and loot. Shortly after Doc took use of their infirmary to patch people up. With snake kid now confined to a bed after much grumbling. Doc informed him he needed to learn how to dodge like snake and use thick scale armor.

Just as you were about to leave doc spoke up to you.

"It is best to limit your practice of control of your body to your own body. Imagination and control is the key. Some powers like ours also demands great intelligence too in order to use properly. Other powers like Snake's.

"Hey I have a name!" Interrupts the snake boy.

"Which is Snake," informs Doc before going back to the original topic. "Whose power's use is blunt and limited. It doesn't require much smarts to use properly. Sadly however our powers aren't like that."

"So what should I do then?"

"The feeling you have when your power operates. Familiarize yourself with it and replicate it, then learn to control it. Finally you may then learn to adapt it to change it."

Those were the last words Doc gave you before dismissing you. After that you wandered around the ship a bit. Noticing the zombies moving around the different rooms. Sometimes grabbing stuff sometimes not.

Search the ship it is then. Sadly for you the pirates weren't nearly as sneaky as the smugglers when it came to hiding their goodies. There were plenty of barracks and storage. Probably to hold loot, supplies, and weapons. The ship was very well armed and had vast cargo holding. Beyond that there was a proper navigation room, a canteen, even a bar, and a gym with an arena. There was naturally a treasury which the zombies had long torn the down from and looted. Private bedrooms were around more then what you expected. An extra large and luxurious Captain's quarters.

The zombies were moving throughout grabbing stuff and hauling it up top. Some of the rooms there were zombies standing guard while others the zombies were grabbing stuff from them. For whatever reason you weren't able to figure out. As some of the stuff they grabbed wasn't exactly valuable. After awhile you just gave up and headed up top to see what was going on.

There you noticed the prisoners were chained and watched. Some of them who were guarding them were even former comrades of theirs. Doc would occasionally come up top to grab people and drag them back to the infirmary. Apparently some of them were terrorified that they were about to get 'turned into zombies' and fought back. They got beaten by the nearby guards and dragged back to the infirmary by the far less careful zombies.

After awhile you soon saw the other ships. Including a marine ship that was much larger then the pirate one your follows captured. On land meanwhile stood mountains of loot and many zombies celebrating around a bonfire. There were four ships and clearly not enough zombies. You weren't sure why the Captain insisted on acquiring all these ships.

Soon enough your ship docked and the zombies came pouring off. Throwing the acquired good in their accorded mountains and went off with the other zombies to celebrate. Soon doc came out and the Captain hopped onto the large pirate ship.

"Yo Doc we got people a lot of wounded people. How many have accepted your kind terms of recruitment?"

"They are pirates more then a few, how was the Marine ship?"

"We vastly underestimated how many marines were gonna be there or large a ship it was. Which IS great news!"

"...I do not follow."

"Because now we get to keep the giant! After all we now have room and you said it was a no go unless we had the room right? Well HAH."

"...What is even the point of recruiting a giant."

"Because he's a giant duh. Its like not having a musician or your own gunsmith. How can you be considered a proper crew without one!"

"Many pirates do not have a musician or a gunsmith."

"Well obviously that just means they suck and no wonder their gunners are so lousy. Say Doc do you think you can like...make some of them not a zombie?"

"...Normal then?"

"No something cool and special. I am tired of all the zombies."

"If you want something besides zombies then learn how to make cyborgs," rebuttals Doctor Sicko.

"Oh come on don't be like that Doc...you know how I can't control body related machinery."

"That's because you suck."

"Yeah and from just making people sick you made zombies. There is no way you haven't come up with something else."

"...Fine but I wont make any promises about the results."

"Ooh what are you gonna make next then huh Doc? Better be cool!"

"Regenerating troops."

"No," instantly shoots down the Captain. "They get so consumed by hunger they try to eat people and not even the zombies try to eat people. As i recall you still haven't worked out the kinks."

"You know about that one...abomination I made?"

"OOH fuck that thing was cool but really fucking hard to kill. We had to drown it in the sea."

"Yeah do you want something like that to happen then?"

"...How about a small one? For like pet purposes."

"That will require experimentation...and soon to be very dead island."

"Don't worry doc we'll soon have the time to find a deserted island to kill and guinea pigs."

"You actually found volunteers?"

"Yup new crew who don't know what to expect and evil marines who even the other marines hate."

"Oooh my favorite," agrees Doctor Sicko.

You couldn't help but shudder at what awaits them. You heard among the crew about Doctor Sicko's 'experiments'. Apparently before the Zombies became what they are today, things got real ugly in their development. Back then though Doctor experimented on the dying in the attempt to save their lives. Doc still isn't that great at according to him but its enough that some of them are able to be saved at least. You heard from the crew that Doc's big goals now is the Hydra Virus and something they called the Shredders. Apparently nobody has ever survived the 'Shredding' process in the long term. Unlike the Hydra Virus which just has some serious side effects including turning into a raging cannibal but on the plus side it no longer kills you.

----
You head to the loot power and grab the small bag which you know to be your loot share from previous experience. Smallest one among the entire pile but you feel better noticing there is a second one your size. You are not alone in being stuck with a half share. Probably belonging to Snaky kid.

After looking inside to see the glittering treasures within and cash you nod in satisfaction before heading off to party with the zombies. Food was being roasted like boar,, bear, goat, sea food, and another whale. There were even large pots of a boiling something. Some of which smelled quite sweet. There were even a pile of bread.

Nearby you could see barrels upon barrels of opened booze. Which were being drank from with the whole crew. The giant meanwhile was treating an actual barrel as if it were a cup of booze.

The zombies for their part were celebrating. Drinking, feasting, singing, contesting, dancing and sparring all around. It honestly looks like what would happen if the haunted decide to party like the living who were about to die. Even the ghost ship seemed to swaying with the music and dancing in its own way. Looking like it too for some reason had reason to celebrate.

Unexpectedly near the side of the whole affair you see coffins and what you realize is an ongoing funeral. The Coffins were stacked up on the side and before them stood a bunch of zombies giving speeches, crying, and toasting about the fallen.

You could see the Captain was with Zane and Doc Sick. He was currently manipulating a bunch of oversized riffles and bazookas together while consulting with Zane. The giant was laughing and also celebrating. You could see those strange gunner pair were dancing together and drinking despite their long draping masks. First Mate was with Rotters the Cook as they looked after the food. With first mate chatting with Rotters about something.

You ended up getting yourself caught up in the celebrating with the zombies. Who knew how to party so hard the living couldn't keep up with them. Mostly because partway through you collapsed out of exhaustion sleeping somewhere. When you woke up again you noticed the festivities hadn't ended yet and was still going strong. You noticed the only ones who were absent was the Captain and Doctor Sicko. Everyone else was present even Snake kid who hobbled his way out aftering recovering a bit to join in. Apparently not wanting to be left out for the entire thing.

You found yourself considering whether or not you should keep partying with them or make use of your time to do something else.

You recall what Doctor Sicko told you about 'recalling' those sensations and trying to replicate them. So you head off deep into the woods taking off your shoes and start trying to replicate it.

You successfully changed the color of your skin but its irritating because so long as the sun is up it tries very hard to emerge. The rooting of your feet only thing it took was digging your feet into the ground wasn't hard to do. Not on top of the ground you had difficulty forcing the roots to emerge. Most difficult was making those roots go away. So long as they were in the earth they didn't want to come out again.

The vines and wooden limbs meanwhile you had no luck. As there was so much going on at the time it was very difficult for you to recall that exact sensation and replicate it. You kept on practicing when suddenly a very suspicious man fell from the sky carrying a very large pack over his shoulder and was covered head to toe in a long strips of cloth concealing his identity.

You two stared awkwardly at each other before he turned out around started to creep away. Somehow moving stealthily and silently despite his huge burden.

After that you couldn't help but look up from where he fell down from. Looking up you were shocked to find a very tall sheer cliff face. How he survived the drop you have no idea.

You decide to try to follow the suspicious covered up man carrying a large bag over his shoulder. While at the same time using it an excuse to practice your plant powers! Brilliant.

How could he possibly spot you in this forest full of plants?

...Turns out he didn't have and you really should of been paying more attention to where you were going. After walking right into a snare trap that had you hanging from a tree. After that you got buried in a deep hole that he somehow had time to make and cover up the entrance of. Right when you started to pay extra attention to what lurked underfoot you ate a log attached to some vines came from above that sent you flying.

Honestly at this point the only reason you know your going in the right direction after long losing sight of the asshole is all these fucking booby traps. So clearly your headed in the right direction.

Now at this point the only reason you continued was because you were officially angry. Well that and you discovered that being buried in a whole is excellent inspiration to create a vine that you pulled yourself out of said hole with. The getting tied up hanging off a tree was a good lesson in how break the branch that was holding you with a wooden elongated leg. Sadly the getting hit by a log really fucking hurt. So much in fact you may be suffering from a concussion...then you realize something was very wrong here.

Because that there should be your body...so how did you end up having an out of body experience like this?

Did...did you die?

No that doesn't feel right. Wait a second you can somehow...hear something. Some conversing but you can't make out of it is...but paying attention to where its coming from you notice there is some people coming. Who are following the same trail you were following until they found you. After that when they woke you up and performed some medical services.

BANG

You were right back in your body.

"OOH I am ALIVE...fuck I really started to think that I didn't make it there," looking at your saviors you see some very angry looking gunners who asked you a question.

"Why are you following that thief kid and are you sure your okay?"

"Thief? Yeah I suppose that makes a lot more sense and I was curious. Soon after it became personal once I fell into a couple traps."

"Fair enough its personal for us too," nods some of the people agreeing with you.

"As for being okay...I think my soul slipped out of me there for a second."

"Your soul slipped out of you?"

"I got hit by a log out of nowhere...after that things got REALLY weird. Like I think all the plants started talking level weird and why is my body way over there."

"...Damn the you must have hit your head really hard from when the log hit you after you fell."

"Or maybe the log hit his head," suggests another one of the pursuers.

"You really should go home and get checked out by a proper doctor kiddo. Its not that safe out here currently and frankly you need some proper medical attention," says the medic of the group.

"Nah its not that bad. This is actually great training!"

"Great training?"

"Yeah those traps are great for practice," you claim.

"...Yeah I think it definitely hit him on the head. Knocked the sense right out of him," agrees one of the chasers to the guy who suggested the log hit your head.

"I'm serious though that dick ass thief is good. Guy manages to lay down all these traps while running away to slow down any pursuit. If you want to catch him you gotta have someone to help take down those traps, trust me on this they are damn sneaky. I got hung from a tree and fell into a deep hole that somehow magically appeared there. Then there was the bloody log falling from the sky."

That time was done on purpose as your guy sorta had the sense knocked out of him before his out of body experience. He wasn't thinking clearly at all when that strangeness happened.

>>1968600
>>1968710
You ponder on what happened to you during the traps. The previous stuff gave you a better idea of how the vine and wooden limb change works. The last one though...you have a hard time making sense of that one.

Somehow your body as over there but your sense of 'awareness' wasn't with it...which you can't help but ask yourself. Where was it then?

Looking around a bit you were shocked to find a certain little plant that was nestled among some trees and vines. Which just so happened to be the exact vantage point you saw yourself after getting knocked out by the log. Which really hurts your gonna have one hell of some bruises and some probably cracked bones.

That little creeping vine though...the more you look at it the more you realize that was where your awareness somehow ended up. Which really doesn't many any sense.

What makes even less sense was the strange conversing and the rough picture of 'something' coming. Like they were sharing with each other who it was and where they were...no way.

You started looking around taking a much closer look at the plants around you.

...It...it can't be? You never heard of talking plants.

But...but if animals can communicate with each other why can't plants?

Somehow when you were knocked out you accidentally tapped into the plant communicating. Which while insane the more you think about it the more you realize is the truth. You plants were talking and you heard them while you were out.

Only troublesome matter that remains is how your awareness got knocked into a different plant. Examining the plant you discovered an interesting thing. The plant was one of the vines that was used to tie up the log and another discovery.

Its a parasitic plant.

It roots itself in trees and creeps around with vines. It seemed to have infected the log and maybe when you got knocked out...your conscious accidentally sank into the plant.

You couldn't do anything but somehow you 'communicated' with it. You saw the world in the senses of the plant. Which would explain why everything seemed to strange looking, the plant doesn't have eyes and senses like that, but it does have a different kind of sensory system.

You just couldn't hardly make sense of it.

Somehow...your consciousness when you were knocked out started communicating with one of the plants. After that thanks to that connection you were able to hear in on the plants chatter.

This entire thing is giving you a real headache but you can't say if its due to the weird thinking or getting knocked out by a log.

Only problem is now that your back in your body you don't feel that awareness or able to hear them talking but now you know its out there.
>>
>>1969328
Alright boys we need to extend the range on plant possession as much as possible.
Imagine dropping logs on people while we are safely on the other side of the island.
>>
Rolled 77 (1d100)

>>1969328
Touching a tree you weren't able to sink into it, but you felt there was something there after all. Its just there is some kind of barrier there but something is on the other side.

For the first time you find yourself regretting that your a Logia. A paramecia would have no problem manipulating the environment. Sadly your stuck with your body...your plant body.

You realize you are thinking about this the wrong way.

You too are a plant. A plant who can't just hijack control of others plants...because you are a Logia. Your body is a plant too. Which means you should be able to communicate with them as plants communicate with each other.

Sadly you have zero clue how the hell to talk to plants.

I mean it STILL sounds crazy and your a plant man.

thinking of this you sit down and ponder.

The awareness you felt appears to be the key. Somehow it can do something your body can't. Only trouble is the only time said awareness got disconnected from your body was when you were KO. How the hell were you going to remove your awareness again?

Your a plant...a plant.

Turning green is what plants do to feed off the sun. Sending your roots into the ground is how you acquire nutrients. Chatting with plants by using your awareness...as in your mind. Of course without a mind how could communicate with them?

The wooden limbs. The vines.

How to think of them. When you wanted strong powerful limbs you turned to wood. When you wanted agility fluid movements you turned to vines. When you wanted to enjoy the sun you turned green. When you wanted to taste the earth you became roots.

You.

You.

You.

The reason why your having such a hard time with powers...is because you are not thinking like a plant. You are thinking like a human animal and human animals are not plants. that is why you can't get your powers to listen to you properly.

How could a plant think and act like an animal?

No wonder your devil fruit power control is utter shit and no wonder Doc told you to 'replicate' what you did instinctively.

Doctor Sicko knows the tricks but if he told you to start thinking like a plant, you obviously wouldn't have believed him and would of seriously thought he was insane. So he had to explain in a very roundabout fashion.

But he's right.

In order to control your plant powers you must stop thinking like an animal and start thinking like a plant. Otherwise how could you possibly control them properly?

but how to think like a plant...what a difficult riddle.

Not even Doctor Sicko would know the answer to that one. Your certainly on your own there.

Plant...to think like a plant.

To live like a plant...would you not then understand what its like to think as one if you live as one?

Certainly would be the fastest way to go about it. Forcefully sinking yourself into it with your very life. However if things were to go wrong...it wouldn't be good.

Or you could go about it the safer way as explained by Doctor Sicko, but how long would that take you?
>>
>>1969367
I don't think we can possess plants, but we can use them as a network of sensors. Personally I find the ladder much more useful since we don't have to worry so much about feedback from plant destruction if we are careful since we just need to make sure we aren't extending our senses into plants getting actively destroyed.
>>
Rolled 18 (1d100)

Plants are an extremely complicated subject. Doc had to know a trick though...because wasn't Doctor Sicko's own Devil Fruit power just as complicated but in its own way?

Clearly Doc would have some idea...but isn't Doc also trapped inside that suit of his? Maybe his control over it isn't as good as you may think...or maybe he fears his devil fruit power just that much.

Your power however isn't nearly as horrifying as Doctor Sickos.

Talking to plants...being the plants. The complexity of the Botany field.

Why can't your devil fruit power be simple?

You cannot help but feel deeply jealous of Snake boys Devil fruit power. Being a snake is fucking simple compared to the complex hell that is your devil fruit. Now your really starting to feel the suffering that Doctor Sickos must deal with every day...except yours isn't nearly as terrifying. You still feel for him though.

Your definitely gonna need to bring some soil with you on the ship.

You can't directly control other plants like that due to the limitations of your Logia devil fruit restrictions. That doesn't mean you can communicate with to them however.

Basically you can talk to them. Meaning you can ask them about what they sense. Hence its possible to extend your 'sensory' range beyond your own plants. Doing so would require convincing the plants to help you. So its not like its completely free.

Your attempts to replicate tree limbs and vines ended up failing, but you feel like you are that much closer to success. Afterwards you ended up trying to talk with some plants. After encountering the barrier you pondered that while you can't force yourself past it. Perhaps you can communicate with it?

While its a nice idea there is one big problem. You don't know plant language. Currently you just know it exists but you don't know how your going learn it.

On the plus side your pretty sure you got the green skin and root feet down, but they still like to activate automatically. You haven't figured out how to stop that yet.

Afterwards you headed back to the ship intending to talk to Doctor Sicko about your discovery. After arriving you noticed the Captain was still mysteriously absent. There was a large snoring giant whose snores sounded like thunder. First Mate was talking with the Zane the cursed gunsmith about something about firearms. Doctor Sicko was apparently preparing for some experiments. According to the zombies that is.

You ended up finding him in his lab preparing very suspicious substances into vials and needles which he marked with some kind of code. You noticed several medical texts were opened and notebooks which he would occasionally look at.

You told the Doctor what you discovered and he seemed completely nonplussed about it before speaking.

"Becoming a Plant would be the fastest way to learn but it carries risk. You are a Plant Man. Just as your excessive reliance upon the Man inhibits your powers. Excessive reliance upon the Plant will also cause problems. What kind of problems I cannot say for certain."

"Your power is very reliant upon knowledge and study of a certain subject right? So what means have you developed for practice and mastery," you ask.

"Firstly my power is a Paramecia I have more I can mess with. However you ate the Wood Wood Logia Devil Fruit a living Element. If you create a plant and let it grow...then study it what do you think you can learn from it? Like casting off a branch soaking it in water till it roots and then transplanting it into soil or if possible use a seed instead or root it directly."

"Look at these vials, at these test samples in containers. Festering and growing. Sickness in form. I study them...and as I study them I study myself. I learn more about the potential of my own devil fruit power. A deeper understanding of sickness and germs."

"Powers like ours demand us to be smart and knowledgeable of the subject that our Devil Fruit gives us power over. For me it is illness and for you it is the living element plants. As your knowledge of botany increases so too will your power for you will have more understanding and more things you can replicate on your own."

"What about the Plant language? What do you think about that?"

"Language is ultimately about communication is it not?"

"As far as those plants are considered...your just a human shaped plant who can move on its own. Have you ever thought that they are trying to talk to you but you are not willing to listen? Not able to understand what they are trying to say?"

"Many make the assumption that us being able to communicate means we have a devil fruit power over that. They think we control them directly...but is it truly control if we merely ask?"

"...Wait a second are you saying its possible to make them do more then just talk?"

"You have seen my zombies no? They are infected they still have their own will and they still take action. While I hold power over the germs...how can I hold power over the vessel? Its not a matter of 'making' them do anything. After all...all we can merely do...is ask and if they choose to take action. Why that is on them and not us!"

"So how should I gain mastery over my powers then? I can't even control them properly."

"You wont ever have completely control I am afraid. When under duress you will instinctively call upon powers that you normally are not capable of. When I was first attempting to learn control I was stranded on an island...and by the time i finished. I was the only living thing left on that island. You should however have a much easier time of it then I had."

"Because mine is less lethal?"

"Very. I have eaten the infamous Devil Fruit of Plagues and you have eaten the notorious Wood Wood Logia Fruit. A living typed element Logia. For now i would suggest that you create a leave or branch...then sever it. Let it grow on its own as its own plant and study it alongside more natural born plants that aren't you."

"That...is going to hurt."

"At first yes it will. At least until you reach the point where you no longer need not rely upon such crude methods."

"My devil fruit power is very powerful...yet so very complicated."

"Hmph its complexity is the sole reason why its underestimated. Its very difficult to master...but once you do. You would have mastered a Living Element Logia. One that need not fear Haki as much as other Logia and is considered kindred by all plants."

"Haki?"

"A method to teach the Devil Fruit Wielders that their power is not absolute in the world."

Your really REALLY not looking forward to this. The sad fact is you can't produce any leaves or branches...but you can produce a clump of roots by using your feet. You'll need some dirt first and you really hope it can grow back.

Fortunately there were plenty of now empty booze barrels to use which you filled up after cutting them up into the right size. Filled them up and put them on the boat. After that you planted your collection of plants hoping they would recover. Then you grabbed the biggest zombie you could find with the sharpest blade you could also find. After that you planted your foot and told the zombie to chop.

At first he wasn't going to until he saw your feet sprout into roots. Afterwards he merely shrugged and swung. Shortly followed was an extremely high scream of pure agony.

Down in the bowels of the ship Doctor Sicko was working in his lab when the scream made him jump and nearly drop a vial...causing him to panic and barely catch it in time. In which he gave out a big breath at the close call. Before heading up deck to see what happened with his medical bag.

He found a three eyed kid screaming in agony after losing his foot and a worried zombie holding a blade that was covered in bloody sap. He looked down and saw a foot turned root in a barrel full of soil.

"...Well that is certainly one way to go about it," admits Doctor Sicko.

"AHHH IT HURTS BOTH MY FOOT AND BODY HOW DOES MY FOOT STILL HURT WHEN ITS GONE!"

"...Oh wow yeah that is going to hurt. I can do something about the body but...I uh don't know how to give painkillers to a plant. Your foot er root is on its own."

"AAHHHH-"

"This is why I have knock out drugs," sighs Doctor Sicko has he pulls out a cloth and some potions.

Some time later you woke up loopy and on drugs in the infirmary. Right next to you in a another bed was a snaky kid covered in bandages. You meanwhile were missing a foot.

"Dude that was fucking metal as hell," says Snake Kid with shiny eyes. "Cutting off your own foot for the sake of growing a special plant. Damn man, talk about hardcore."

"If only I knew how to sprout a fucking branch or even a leaf...i wouldn't have needed to lose a foot," you cry out bitterly.

"Still metal as fuck," claims the Snaky Kid.

"You better not get any ideas," says Doctor Sicko walking in. "Unlike him I am pretty sure you can't regenerate missing appendages or well grow a new one anyway. I don't think you can say its an exact copy of the old one. Frigging plants I am no botanist."

Noticing the rocking of the boat you ask about where the ship is headed.

"An abandoned island to hang low for a bit. When everyone was busy celebrating the Captain ran off to piss off the local something fierce. Not safe staying there with the pirates, locals, criminal elements, and marines wanting our heads. After that we intend to make stop by either the Island of Narvos with its large naval shipyards or the Island of Blades."
>>
Rolled 30 (1d100)

>>1972314
"Narvos is a terrible idea. The place has been crawling with Marines ever since they started manufacturing Marine Ships," you say trying to ignoring the two points of throbbing pain. One of which your pretty sure is your missing foot...root.

"Yeah, I tried telling the Captain that but he insists that Narvos is the last place they'll look because of it. What before the Marines took over so many naval yards they are the largest shipbuilders in all of North Blue. Even the Marines use them to build new ships or repair the old ones."

"That's the problem though. There are tons of Marines there not even including the ones actually stationed there. Unless...oh hell it can't be considered docking in the Broken Coves?"

"Apparently that is the plan," admits Doctor Sicko.

Broken Coves...one of the greatest deathtraps in all of North Blue. Said to be a cursed ship graveyard. When Narvos has ships they can't repair back into working order its long been a tradition to repair it just enough for one last sail..into Broken Coves. The Greatest Ship Graveyard in all of North Blue.

Broken Coves is close to Narvos actually made of a couple broken tiny islands right off it, but so much junk as piled over the years they have long since been absorbed into Narvos with a proper bridge of ruined broken ships and trash connecting the two.

Everyone knows that the Evil Eye Lighthouse warns ships away from Broken Coves, but ever since the Marines moved in a lot of criminals have sought refuge elsewhere and new shipyards have been sprouting out. Some part of Narvos proper but a few shipyards around the Evil Eye Lighthouse have been popping up too outside the eyes of the Law and hidden away.

"Hphm don't worry about us docking into Broken Coves of Narvos. If this were an ordinary ship it would certainly be a problem...but this is no ordinary ship."

"Are you saying the cursed ship will protect us?" Asks Snaky.

"It's best not to talk about the curse of this ship, but suffice it to say ship graveyards are home to it."

"A ship that is home in ship graveyards...it really is a cursed ship isn't it?"

"Very. Soon enough you will learn just how haunted this ship is. Anyway I originally came here to drop off some crutches for you until your new foot comes in. It will let you get around once the potency of the painkillers no longer need to be so high."

After that Doctor Sicko left.

"You know I never once been able to get the zombies here to talk about this ship much," says Snaky Kid. "They always just blow me off and say there are far things worse. Then just nightmarish dreams and strange noises to worry about."

Not even you recall much of this ship but the name its called is Elusive. You heard a few scary stories about it. The Elusive was once part of a mighty kingdom's navy when one day the Elusive and other ships set fail to two infamous locations. The First was the frozen waters of the far north. The Elusive was the only ship that returned alive.
>>
Rolled 70 (1d100)

>>1972405
The second story about the Elusive was how a mighty fleet was prepared pierce the Calm Belt. Heading to a little known Island right inside that was the home of a very troublesome bunch of female pirates. The Elusive once more was the only ship to return alive. Having somehow escaped even the Calm Belt.

That was when the Elusive fell into the hands of a great explorer who wanted to explore and map the Grand Line. The Elusive departed with the explorer and was never heard from again...

Yet somehow it came back once more to North Blue and now that you have seen it for yourself. You have 0 doubt about the allegations of it being a haunted ship.

No ordinary ship could survive waters so cold and waters so calm.

No matter how you look at the name Elusive was truly a fitting one.

Fortunately there were plenty of books for you to study. Which is how you passed the time until your pain finally slackened enough and the ship stopped moving enough that you feel you could probably move around safely.

The zombies have a very messed up idea of 'serious' wounds. As far as they are concerned getting shot repeatedly in the chest isn't something that should kill you. Much less getting stabbed and having your guts spilling out. At that point they think some stitches should make you good to go.

The sadder fact is the only 'normal' people on board are a devil fruit users.

The entire crew is made up of monsters and currently the Marines are debating whether or not to give the average crew a bounty due to their freakish capabilities.

>>1972453
You read some books about poison and find yourself wishing you had more books about poison.

>>1972455
The books from the smuggler ship are all things that are illegal or controlled according to the WG. Including strangely enough some martial arts books. Looking at them you soon fight out why.

>Chaos Fist: Channeling chaos into your fists ceasing order and disrupting the readable attack method becoming impossible to decipher. Especially effective against Law style martial arts due to its Chaotic Nature being the perfect counter.

Bingo that would explain why the GW outlawed it. Having something floating around that is the perfect counter to their Marine Martial Arts would explain it alright. Looking in the other books you find some stuff about poisons. Guide on How to get Away with Crimes and a book on How to Escape the Marines Edition 2. Even some new books on poison for you to read and something called 'Potentials of Disease as Weapons how to make them'. Doctor Sicko aught to love that one.

Then your eyes caught upon a certain text.

'Natural Poisons and their means of Harvesting' and-

'Index of Illegal Flora'. Looking inside you found a page on a plant referred to as Invisible Vine. A plant that cloaks itself before finding prey to kill. Another one called Laughing Flowers whose pollen is lethal to human but smells delightful. Called Laughing Flowers due to its peculiar markings and when the poison sinks in. The poisoned start laughing madly. Another is a cane plant which when process produces a highly addictive substance known to increase awareness and strength.

Right when you were about to read more you were interrupted by some zombies who came pouring in. "Time to get up Captain's got a show for us to watch." They grabbed the two of you and pulled you up deck.

There you saw the Captain hammering something into the Marine ship and the smaller pirate ship. Sparing the other two. Once it was hammered in you all were forced to wait until the sun completely set as the Captain returned before speaking with a strange amount of seriousness.

"What you are all about to see is the power of the Curse Conversion. The curse is not to be spoken to outsiders. For the Curse is what keeps our ships from sleeping in Davy Jones's locker. The Curse known as The Haunting."

As the sun dips below the horizon at first there wasn't anything to be wary of. When suddenly as strange ghostly light began to rise.
>>
Rolled 74 (1d100)

>>1972827
The single flickering ghostly light arose from where the Captain had hammered something in. It rose up high in the air till it was above even above the Crow's Nest. Only then it did it pause and start increasing in size when suddenly it exploded. Creating a bunch of unearthly sparks explode outward in a pulse like arch as it slowly sank and encapsulate the two ships.

Afterwards a bunch of ghostly lights began to emerge from the ship you were on and float on over the other two ships. Once they were there they started to dance around them in strange movements.

Slowly the two ships began to sink deeper into the water. The wood began to warp and twist. The sails themselves began to flicker and tear. The ropes started to become darken and move on their own.

Slowly before your very eyes those two normal healthy ships...began to sicken and turn into something else entirely. Became like the haunted ship you were now on. Suddenly one of the ships abruptly sank into the depths of the oceans. Right when it was gone you suddenly saw a geyser of water and out beneath it exploded forth that same ship that had 'sank'.

It was not adjacent to your current ship and you could still see those hallow flickering lights. Dancing through the ship and causing it to warp as they pass by. The ship had water pouring off it and somehow it now seemed...hallow. Like there was something important that it had from before was now gone. Leaving an empty haunted husk behind.

"The Curse of the Devil Fruits isn't the only kind of Curse in the world. Just as the Calm Belt as its own Curse of Calmed Waters and some would argue the Grand Line," continues the still serious Captain to the now completely shocked silent crew. "This ship too has its own curse too. Just as the Ghost Ships are blessed by the dead and accursed by the living. Just as some ships are Haunted by their own curses."

"I am saying this now because I struck a Deal just like the ones struck by Eaters of Devil Fruits. Who become cursed by the Sea for striking a Deal with the Devil. This Deal however is not like that one. As a member of my Crew all are afflicted...however so long as we keep to our side of the Deal we are safe. If we shall break it however...the ships will cease to offer their protection and we will sink into the depths of the seas never to surface again."

"If you leave while the curse is removed from you so too is its protection. This is why I never hide that these ships are Haunted and why I offer you Doctor Sicko's Love. The moment you stepped on board you agreed to the terms of the Crew. The Deal is as such to the Crew as i have struck it.

>All members of the Crew must never abandon the ships. Should they do thus they are removed from the Protection at once.

>All members of the Crew shall not Betray the Ships. To do so will see to it that you are forever Marked by the Accursed Fleets. Ghost Ships will forever haunt you till the day you die.

>All ships that join the Fleet must suffer the Conversion Curse even if said Ship is already Haunted. If this rule is broken the Fleet shall disperse immediately.

"These are the three golden rules. In exchange the ships will offer us their services. They shall not sink as easily as if they were an ordinary ship. They shall not fear the most treacherous of waters. They shall ferry us across even the most awful of seas without hesitation. They shall protect us from the Wrath of the Sea and Storm. No matter their kind nor origin. Shall we die as a member of the Crew they will ferry our souls to the other side if we so wish. If not they will welcome our souls shelter and home to their Ghosts instead. They will thus need not fear to be adrift as homeless ghosts in the world so long as they served the Ships loyally."

"Welcome to the Fleet of the Damned."

"Collect the coffins and transport them to the other ship now. It is now time for them to depart. Do not worry about the lack of crew...on this journey the still living crew are not welcome," the Captain ordered.

The zombie crew thus disappeared below deck and started to carefully carry coffins over to the other ship and place them down with care. Once all the coffins were on board the new haunted ship once more began to sink down beneath the waves, but this time it did not appear before you.

"Now as is custom it is time for the Wake. Do not fear for our departed comrades. The Fleet looks after its own and ensures their safe passage to the Other Side. It is the least those ships can do for someone who willing crews their haunted selves," explains the Captain breaking open a barrel of sake and takes a deep drink.

Not long after the crew get drinks and start eating. Though apparently its gonna take some time for the party to real start after the reality of their situation sinks in...

Come to think of it you agreed to the terms too ever since you boarded that clearly Haunted Ship.

Basically your not allowed to turn traitor. Leaving is allowed just look at the first rule. Its just that the benefits are withdrawn with your departure.

Being a traitor though...well lets just say the only safe place for you from then on is now Land and Land alone. Ghost ships will target you explicitly from then on. So long as you are on water they will find you and they can reach you.

Basically imagine being on the collective shit list of every haunted vessel and ghost ship.

You approach and asked the Captain about the Damned Fleet.

"Damned Fleet...honestly not even I know that much. I just know its a about a far lesser known curse. I only knew about it thanks to there once being a particularly well known pirate who led something people called the Ghost Fleet. He was a very powerful pirate one who was said to strike from anywhere anytime and evaporate as if his entire fleet were ghost ships. Until one day he decided to explore certain forbidden areas. Believing his Fleet and his Devil Fruit power would be able to keep him safe."

"He was wrong and never heard from ever again."

"According to the ghost I talked to he died and his devil fruit power is still lost there. In a forbidden area. This ship was the only one to have escaped. The Fleet of the Damned as i understand it is about peculiar curse."

"The curse you see requires a willing ship and crew to form the forbidden pact and accept a powerful curse upon themselves. It is not like those other Haunted ships and crews. Its due to that pact is why one can leave the crew without suffering...unless that is your a Traitor. The Pact can be broken...the Curse can Die. Its those two reasons why one can safely leave the crew."

"For those who stay however...you must follow the rules. You don't follow the rules then you'll suffer dearly. The Ghost Fleet Admiral that notorious Captain became so powerful because he accepted that deal and combine that with his unique devil fruit powers is why he became so powerful. Back then the Fleet was wrongly called the Ghost Fleet with its Pirate Admiral Ghost."

"The Curse however as it turned out was actually older then Pirate which I got wrong. I thought he used his power to create the Curse and Ghost fleet. This turned out to be not true. His power merely allowed him to greatly benefit from the Curse."

"After that I tried to find out more. Sadly he was the most famous appearance and finding out more was quite difficult. Without him...I am afraid the tales were buried in the stories of Ghost and Haunted ships of the Seas along with their cursed crews. From what I was later able to gather...was when the Damned Fleet was formed. It was formed during a schism between willing and unwilling. The Damned Fleet demanded that the Pact be one that can be broken. The other insisted the Pact could not be broken and all shall serve for eternity. It was believed that certain ghostly curses could never be escaped...after all did they not have undead crews who could not truly die and no matter how much damage you did to the ship it refused to sink?"

"The Schism started because...someone was actually able to escape that inescapable curse. They did the impossible and escaped because they replaced that Curse with Another. After that the one who escaped created an army and fleet to oppose the old. In order to free those who couldn't escape and were forced to serve for eternity. They were called the Fleet of the Damned."

"Thus a great war resulted and was waged. A war that very few knew even existed."

"In the end Damned Fleet was mostly victorious and scattered the former. They became a mere shadow of their themselves. Sadly the Fleet of the Damned was also devastated in process of waging that war and after it succeeded...many departed the Fleet of the Damned. Thus it was never able of truly finishing what it had started."

"The Ship the Elusive meanwhile...it is in truth a very very old ship. Curse for the Elusive had was special. It could never be Caught. Not even by Death itself. Hence why the Elusive was damned to travel the seas without rest for all eternity for not even Death could catch it. Thus the docks to the Other Side it is forever unable to find no matter how hard it might search."

"The one who broke the Inescapable Curse and formed the Fleet of the Damned...they had used the Elusive for their Flagship. Yes, even the great Ghost Pirate Admiral's Flagship that mighty monstrosity was actually a lie. For a very simple reason. The only ship that could guarantee an escape was solely the Elusive."

"The Elusive however...is a very proud ship and the one thing it yearns for more then anything else in this world. Is the one thing it cannot have. The Elusive however believes that should some day it completely hunts down the survivors of the other side of the Schism...maybe just maybe. It can finally escape its own Curse and be allowed to find the Docks to the Other Side for its final long awaited rest."

"Until that day the Elusive is obviously very sensitive about certain matters...and hungers to bring the Damned Fleet back to power. So that way it can finally finish the job."

"So wait...the Elusive as in is THEE Elusive?" You asked in shock. Everyone had heard of stories about that legendary ship that is said to be cursed.

"Yes, the legendary ship that is falsely believed to be able to escape anything. Technically that isn't true as I found out. Otherwise the Elusive would be able to escape from its own curse just as easily. It might not be the strongest or best ship but well it has its own character."

"Is it true that it's the fastest ship in the World?"

"Fastest...difficult to explain. In pure speed no...to get from one side of the world also no, but to escape from something? Absolutely. In terms of actual travel time it is indeed surprisingly fast, because well this ship knows an awful lot of secrets and shortcuts. The kinda stuff that a normal ship can't use but a Haunted could. Problem is there are very few navigators who cannot be driven insane by such a strange ship and fewer still willing to pilot a haunted one."

"Which of the stories are true?"

"You would have to ask it."

"...It can talk?"

"Hah its been around long it has long gained its own soul and thus thoughts. Talking to it is tricky but as the Captain I have the ability."

You go to check on your planted foot. Surprised to find that the crew had in fact been watering it apparently. Your foot had turned into a green carpet of...something and there was a spindly little limb reaching upwards. That you honestly can't tell if its trying to a branch, flower, or fruiting. You really can't tell. From the looks of that green carpet they look like if grass and leaves had a baby.

Most strange of all...you could FEEL it as if you were part of you now. Its a really weird sensation. Even weirder then the plants talking episode, because you couldn't feel what they felt. You could with the foot.

According to your foot you need to use better soil next time and the sun shine is great. Plus it attempts to warn to you that some of your rarer plants aren't doing so well and require special conditions if you wanna keep them alive.

You thus have an even stranger 'conversation' with your other 'self' in your foot er...root. Plant thing.

When you asked if it knows how talk to plants he told you no not really, but he knows what 'water' and 'dirt' roughly means in plant language. Hence why they aren't doing good because they keep saying bad but the 'how' or 'why' plant foot can't understand.

You tell foot to keep on trying and he's doing great, but plant foot then tells asks you what he should grow into since he doesn't know what do. This honestly stumps you as you figured other foot plant you had it figured out.

Doctor Sickos 'Curses' come in the form of tailored germs aka plagues that he has cooked up with his power. The Zombie virus is the most common as its the first one he developed and hence had the most time to perfect. Most choose to stick with the Zombie version for that reason.

They have drawbacks but they can offer boosts. More importantly thanks to having hosts as living shields sea water doesn't stop them from functioning. Its why the Captain loves to have them come from the water flanking.

I'm not going to pretend i know anything about woodworking, cause I don't, but normally weapons are made out of the core of the wood or some shit like that cause its stable and less brittle. I feel like any weapon made out of just bark would not be particularly useful cause it would just break. Might work if it was some magic/fantasy wood, but I still don't think it's a good idea.

Personally I think the whole shave off bark of some particularly magic wood over time is better suited to making armor since you can layer that shit and work other materials into the process. Still I feel like it's real convoluted and it would be better suited to grow a plant that we can harvest something useful like medicine, poison, rare crafting component, food, etc.

The point anon was to make tools from plants we grow.

We'll use Haki irregardless.

guys. if we found a shape shifting plant and figured out how it worked, could we shape shift? that'd be cool as hell

Plants already do that, check out Boquila trifoliolata, it's a type of vine that shape-shifts for camouflage.

You decide to hobble off the boat and explore the island in the dark. Maybe not the best idea you ever had but certainly the most peaceful one so far. The island is largely silent except for the singing of night birds and the odd misinformed cicada. There are plenty of trees and shrubs. Heading further inside you soon hear the burbling of a small spring in the middle of the island. Along with fruits and plants you identify to be edible. You don't see anything particularly special but then again its dark out. After leaving the center of the island you wander the beach. Noticing a couple other abandoned isles that were smaller and far less occupied. Including a nearby cursed marine ship that was waiting nearby.

Which according to the zombie pirates is now holding Doctor's sicko guinea pigs and other supplies. Apparently a break is going to be taken here. Allowing people to heal up and train. Given how your new foot is coming in awhile longer and you should soon be able to walk without support. He kept on walking along the beach until you were back at the ship. Which now had a proper party going on. Doctor Sicko was absent but the Captain was there messing with rifle...bazooka thing with Zane nearby talking with him about something.

The giant after heading deeper into the ocean was coming back carrying some large sea critters which he caught with his bare hands and staked them over the fire to be roasted before the cheering of the crew.\\You enjoyed the peacefulness of the waves hitting the sands and the view of the darkening sea with bright stars over head. After hearing a commotion you looked over and saw a bunch of zombies fighting each other on a deck of the ship.

Nearby you could see a zombie standing on a crate shouting about staking your bets about the fight. Some zombies were nearby watching the show and you suddenly realized after a sharp whistle. Came from First Mate Jenkins who was the referee for the sudden fight. As he grabbed a zombie and threw him off the boat. Much to the jeers of the watching zombies.

What do?
>See what the captain is up to
>Watch the fights
>Stake a bet
>Dance wit the zombies
>Get something to eat
>Head back to the infirmary
>Other?

Grab some food and relax by watching some (near) undead bastards beat the stuffing out of each other. We can hobble back to the infirmary once we finish our meal. I mean as long as we don't get involved in any of the fighting I don't see much difference with us being out here then being in the infirmary.
