The overall facility and assembly line was done in-house by your engineers giving them critical experience, and leading to a great celebration, as smoke begins to belch from the facility's massive steam engines powering cranes, and a conveyor belt, allowing individual workers to each bolt or screw on specific components on the new automobiles, with the first production run being simple utility trucks, designed to run on the new highway system, carrying light cargo loads or passengers, which you believe will lead to dramatically increased surface trade.....

Demand has already grown, with your plantations and mines requesting the new machines, as well as the interest of hundreds of lords who would like the trucks for their operations and personal use....

Where should we priortitize sending them first?

A. Use them for our own industries, the Lords can wait
B. Sell them to surface based Lords and Merchants first

You decide to focus on equipping your own facilities first, however demand for the new vehicles has vastly outstripped supply, with orders going for the next few years....

A new issue has come up regarding the new vehicles, as coal to power steam equipment, previously mined by small local miners and lords, and bought by our facilities has seen a major increase in demand as well, forcing us to either develop new coal mines, or, as one of your engineers has suggested, building new engines powered by a substance called petroleum, which he assures you is easier to come by and extract than coal, due to its liquid form....

A. Establish new Coal mines(-1 TU)
B. Switch to Petroleum, and set up oil wells(-1 TU)

You have the automobiles changed to using internal combustion engines, which use refined petroleum out of the newly drilled oil wells, increasing their ease of maintenance and their range and engine efficiency

Things seem to be going well on Tarkon, when you are notified that a courier ship has entered the system, bearing Inquisition markings....

Designated for Governors, Admirals and Generals only, you receive a highly redacted Inquistion report, about the Fraal Empire, a race of technologically advanced and cunning Xenos, while they have mostly been encountered in the Segmentum Obscurus, they are believed to be nomadic nature, they have advanced ships and weapons, and are known to sell their small arms, along with some other consumer products on the Imperial Black Market, often trading them for human slaves and information....

Their main warship is the Fraal Battlecruiser, which is considered a good match for an Imperial Battleship, with similar fire power but superior mobility....

A flotilla of 3 Fraal Battlecruisers have been spotted raiding a colony in the northern part of the Segmentum Tempestus, a months warp to the north of us.....

The patrol being badly outgunned, were able to hug the edge of the system and take pictures on their pictgraphs, recording the Fraal using precision orbital bombardments on military strongpoints, before quickly landing several smaller ships, that extracted all acquireable resources and captured much of the human population in a time not even thought possible, with Corean leading a group to reinforce the world, arriving only a few days late, to find the Colony looted and empty....

Your orders are to only engage the Fraal with a numeric advantage, otherwise you are to observe and alert other Imperial forces, until the Officer in command deems we have the numbers to succesfully engage them.....

It is also believed that they may be arming the separatists and heretics alike, having little moral compunction regarding their weapon sales.....

They are an advanced and mysterious race, their existence previously being considered a secret by the Inquisiton, but Inquisitor Lord Corean, has decided to release some limited information to allow local forces to engage the threat, as they have now revealed themselves, much more than in previous decades, likely sensing Imperial weakness....

We should not be surprised if other minor Xeno empires attempt to take advantage of the situation....

In the meantime, given that you are in your late thirties, and that you have several promising matches you are courting, you need to decide to proceed with a more major courting process, and solidify an alliance through marriage

A. Choose Lara Casamuchi, daughter of a powerful planetary governor, with a strong fleet and army, and greater ambitions
B. Choose Linnea Tzavaras, daughter of the rapacious Rogue Trader, a mysterious but powerful man, with a strong fleet, and connections all over Imperial space
C. Choose Inari Vulkund, a daughter of a local lord on Tarkon IV, choosing her would tie you to the planet, and deepen your ties to your people, further increasing their loyalty, and giving you an "ear to the ground" so to speak

You send a message to Lord Casamuchi, requesting to officially court his daughter.....

It will take several days for them to respond at least, so what do you want to do to busy yourself....

You eventually decide to work out, and take Tarquin out for a walk, the massive Tarkonian warhound finally begining to show the signs of age, as time ravages all things, including the beasts.....

You take some time at the shooting range as well, practicing with your bolt pistol, hitting targets out to 25 yards with decent accuracy....

You are happy when the Casamuchis finally respond, officially sanctioning you Courting their daughter....

In 3 months, they plan on having a large ball, and you are expected to come and go on several dates, under watch of course. as you begin to court their daughter....

She has no brothers and is the current heir to her fathers planet, with a marriage with her effectively bringing, its wealth, population and military strength into your realm....

You are unfortunately notifed that a Fra'al battlecruiser has been spotted near the Rorscha system, a few days warp travel away, and has attacked and destroyed a merchant ship, leaving no survivors.....

You decide to deploy a group of warships to hunt down the Fra'al Battlecruiser

Which ships do you want to send?

The Battlecruiser
Wrath of Manachea- Grand Cruiser
Absolution- Light Carrier
2 Cobra Missile boats
Redline- escort

The Defence monitor will remain on station, as it cannot leave the Tarkon system....

You have also been in contact with several people including Corean, and another Planetary Governor, who have sent ships to respond...

Corean has sent back the Edge of Tommorow, assigned to crusade service, alongwith with another cruiser and 2 escorts

The other Governor is providing a cruiser and an escort....

It is unfortnate that these were somewhat uncoordinated and that the reinforcements will come at different times.....

You gather up a flotilla, consisting of the Battlecruiser(needs a name), the Redline and the 2 Cobra Missile boats

You place Commodore Felix in charge of the Flotilla and have them set off for the Rorscha system, where they will await reinforcements from the Crusade fleet and Lord Macharius to the south....

They report an uneventful journey as they arrive in the Rorscha system, and begin patrolling the system itself, keeping a watch for the Fra'al raider....

After 2 days a contact is detected entering the very edge of the system, before quickly jumping out, likely our culprit....

2 days after that, a Lunar Class Cruiser and another Cobra missile boat, arrive from the south, and that very day the mystery contact is detected once again, likely jumping to a nearby system....

average of 47.33 a very mediocre result

The ships move into engagement range and begin trading fire....

The Fra'al ships open fire on the lead Imperial ship, the Edge of Tomorrow, the first salvo from the enemy ships, quickly overloading its shields, with follow on lance fire, tearing into its armor, destroying weapon batteries and doing hull damage.....

The rest of your ships, return fire, against one of the Fra'al ships, but their shields remain operational, their ships also seem to have point defense weapons, shooting down most of the massive missiles fired by our missile boats, and their captains believe it is a waste of ordnance to fire their limited ammunition while the enemy point defense weapons remain online
>>
>>2007302
The Nova cannon begins to power up, but its power circuits quickly overheat, leading a massive plasma discharge in the weapons battery area, incinerating dozens of gun deck slaves, and servitors, along with several of your professional sailors, as the heavy blast doors, separating the weapon station from the rest of the ship are sealed, leaving the interior bathed in hot plasma, it will be 10 minutes, before it will be safe to enter again and prepare for another shot......

average of 69, a fair success

Your ships continue their formation, with the Edge of Tomorrow, falling out of formation and limping to the edge of the system....

Meanwhile as lance, missile and torpedoes are exchanged with the Xeno's forces, with the Fra'al seeming to fail to focus on single target, splitting the shield damage between the Battlecruiser, and the other Lunar Cruiser, which is reporting that its shields are beginning to fail....

However power readings and damage assessments on one of the Fra'al warships shows its shields flagging and it is seeming to be losing power as the battle wears on....
>>
>>2007677
The Nova cannon is prepped to fire, as powers run through the massive circuitry to power the Ryza-pattern massive weapon, which fires massive explosive shells, which carry plasma, macro-bombs, an incredibly destructive plasma explosive.....

The gun fires at one the Fra'al warships. striking the edge of it's hull, but is enough to overwhelm its shields, and do major damage in a single shot.....

It will be 10 minutes before it can fire again.....

average 80.3 a good success

Sensing opportunity, Commodore Felix presses the attack on two badly damaged Fra'al warships, splitting one in half as it break up from a reactor overload, while the other is turned into little more than a slag heap, unfortunately the relatively undamaged 3rd Fra'al focuses its fire on the Redline, doing significant damage and peeling away its shields....
>>
>>2007882
The Nova Cannon is charged up and fires again, this time, striking the final Fra'al ship directly, destroying it in a single shot.....

With the mission a great success, your ships return to Rorscha, where a feast and celebration is held, in the recently rebuilt Governor's villa there....

However the Edge of Tomorrow and Redline will need several months in drydock for repairs, while most of the other ships need minor repairs and to resupply....

To your surprise, you hear from Xeroth shortly afterward, who tells you that his training is going well, and who requests the salvage rights to the Fra'al wreckage....

He explains that he believes in the teachings of Thule, a famous Archmagos, who has expanded the traditional quest for technology and knowledge, into the realm of all pre-imperial human technology, as well as xenotech, and that he follows an archmagos that believes the same....

However you could also give the rights to the wreckage to the Ordos Xenos, who may have an interest in investigating it, or alternatively you could keep it for yourself, scrapping it for material(2 TU) or attempting to recover and reverse engineer technology from it yourself.....

You decide to use your boon on a down payment for an Astartes Strike cruiser, a fast lightly armored cruiser, specialized in rapid deployment of Astartes, along with their vehicles to the surface and supporting orbital assaults.....

Back on Tarkon IV you prepare to attend the ball being held on the homeworld of House Casamuchi, your forces recent victory boosting your renown and reputation as a Governor who gets things done.....

You have the Wrath of Manachea prepped, with fuel and supplies, and a company of your bodyguard assembled and ready to board with you for your journey.....

Horvath IV, their homeworld, was once a primitive world. but over the last few centuries has been morphed into a highly developed civilized world under the stewardship of House Casamuchi, and now boasts a strong, diverse economy and impressive fleet and army, enough to be considered a player in Sector politics....

Your ship enters the system and is escorted into orbit, where you board your shuttle and land on the designated landing pad, near your condimium penthouse that you have given to stay in for the duration of your stay, where your servant staff and bodyguards quickly set up to take care of your every need, and provide for your protection....

You go ahead and order it for 2, along with 2 coffees to balance the sweetness....

You continue talking, and seem to have a good candor going with her, as you give the credit chit to the waiter and pay for the meal. You both leave the restaurant, but not before she rewards you with a deep and sensual kiss...

You have the rest of the afternoon to burn before you have to attend the ball....

You could always see what Johann is doing, who seems to always be getting into something interesting

The Capital City, built mainly during the reign of Lara's grandfather and father, is a modern spectacle and a testament to their strong management and the wealth of their world, attracting nobles from all over the sector to visit to shop and dine here.....

You could also go see Lara's father, and get a better feel for the political situation here, and speak to the man running the place

You quickly contact him over the vox and meet him at a tavern nearby, where it seems may have had a few drinks already, he pats a barstool and beckons you over, sliding some sort of expensive mixed drink over to you

“The tallasian sunrise will get you up and going in a hurry, how have you been?”

You drink the offered beverage and get the next round, getting a classic whiskey cola, an age old classic. After the round, johann wants to do shots and eggs you on as you join him for at least one round of shots....

Alright guys sorry I couldn’t run longer, figured I could get a couple posts in, should be able to run tomorrow

You decide to go shot for shot with him for another few rounds, and find yourself feeling the weight of your decisions, as your vision grows blurry, and you find yourself increasingly relaxed and open to speaking your mind.....

Your talks with Johann turn political, but fortunately a pair of young women across the bar grabs Johanns attention, before anything is said that would be potentially regrettable....

He buys them a drink and motions for them to come over.....

He kisses their hands...

"Hello ladies, my name is Johann, and my serious looking friend here is Maximillian....."

You find yourself with Myra. while you frankly have already forgotten the name of the girl that Johann is with.....

Meanwhile Johann is getting heavy with the girl a few stools down from you, when a group of 3 men enter the bar....

"Jacquelyn?! By the Emperor, what is this? I thought you loved me!"

Unfortunately, Johann has decided to get involved....

"Looks like she changed her mind friend, why don't you and your friends move along, here's some money, why don't you go down to the whorehouse and let off some steam...."

Insulted by the gesture, the man throws the thrones back and menacingly approaches Johann, out of the corner of your eye, you see a few incognito bodyguards shifting out of their seats.....

You formally request an audience with Lord and Governor of this world, Michael Casamuchi, and you are picked up on the street by a non-descript car belonging to the regime's internal security forces, as you are driven to the Capital spire, where the Governor, and his family resides, as well the place where much of the high level governance and politicikcing are done on Yoros II

You are brought through several security checkpoints before being deposited at the entrance to the Governor's palace, which is luxurious and palatial even by your standards, falling only slightly short of your own family's palace back home, which is a long-established hive world, near the center of the Imperium, compared to a fairly newly risen world on the Imperium's frontier....

He has you brought to him, inside his massive throne room, large enough to match the greatest of Lords in the Imperium....

"Maximilian, its good to see you, since the battle with the hiver's on Asteria III, I still want to thank you for your help both to my House and our fellow Imperial citizens"

"I hear you have been busy in the last 3 years, managing multiple campaigns, building up your assets and domain, all very impressive...."

"Look, things in the sector are bad, and the sectors in near the border are even worse, overrun with rebels, heretics and xenos, in dark times like these its important that the great noble houses stand together....."

"I give you the blessing and permission to ask her hand in marriage, and hope you strongly consider the proposal...."

"I would like to make the announcement tomorrow night at the ball, if possible and then we could discuss the terms of my daughter's dowry...."

Now is the time to discuss your dowry....

Lord Casamuchis opening offer is 300,000 thrones, along with a luxury yacht...

A. Up the demand to 500,000 thrones
B. Ask for a warship in addition to the offered dowry
C. Ask for something else(write-in)

You decide to take the offer as first offered, all around a pretty decent deal, compared to what is usual in Imperial society....

You quickly have a car prepped to pick you and take you back into the city, where a few of your staff have found several jeweler's shops offering rings in the proper price range(8-10TU)

At the first store, you find a massive diamond ring, a classic(8 TU)

At the second store, you find a small blue diamond(9 TU), one of the rarest gemstones in the galaxy, found in only a few mines

At the third store, you find a Blackstone ring(10 TU), a small blackstone, an extremely valuable gemstoneof possible xenos origin, said to give off a slight aura of warmth and comfort to all of those around the wearer

What should we get Lara?

You prepare for the ball, eating a snack and having a long bath, before dressing into your finest garments....

Lara contacts you and tells you she already misses you, and is looking forward to seeing you at the ball....

You board the shuttle, with the secondary compartment filled by a group of reporters and pictographers from the Regime-controlled Media networks(we should look into getting a more sophisticated propaganda outlet ourselves) who will stand by until the moment is right at the ball, to video tape and write about the moment in all of its pageantry and glory.....
>>

You enter through several doors, guarded by sharply dressed security guards, who motion the high profile guests through, including many members of the local nobility as well as several prominent governors from the southwestern part of the sector, with Lord Macharius attending, along with Lord Priet Verkun, whose small civilized world, has faced numerous xenos raiders, as well khornate loyal heretics who have seized several worlds from the sector to our south......

In addition a large group seems to be there from the PDF, who are mingling with several Imperial guard and Navy officers...

It seems neither of your Rogue Trader friends have made it to the event....
>>

You spot the closest thing you have to a rival, Marcher Lord Ronson Alpharius, another young Governor, whos territories border yours to the north, and owns several planets as well. He has a larger fleet and a larger army, with a dozen Mechanized/armored regiments along with hundreds of support aircraft and artillery pieces.....

He has pushed in propagranda, to potentially have to seize Imperial territories to "protect" them against the separatists, and so far he has contributed a sizeable squadron to the Corean crusade and has prosecuted the war aggresively against the separatists....

You head over and have a few drinks with the group of officers, including the Admiral of Yoros PDF fleet, Admiral Jenks and several captains, including a few from the Imperial Navy....

You try to build up a relationship and pump them for some information, but come up empty handed, with the exception of devleloping a small rapport with the Admiral, who spoke of our two PDF fleets working together more closely in the future.....

You see Johann across the room and quickly move to meet up with him, the conversation with the Admiral and the Captains begining to grow stale.....

You find him chatting with several local noblewomen, who is charming with the possibility of the interest of a suitor who is the governor of an entire world, a major social jump for these ladies.....

He waves to you as you approach and quickly introduces you, where you promply forget the names of the introduced nobles, as your mind drifts to the thought of marriage, and the commitment it represents....

You are struck by her beauty, when Lara stands with her father, officially greeting the guests and thanking them for attending the ball, explaining that food will be served shortly and that the dancing will begin shortly after dinner, with a live band getting the cue to begin playing.....
>>
>>2024379
You are annoyed when you see your rival, Ronson Alpharius, being one of the first guests to speak to Lord Casamuchi, and entering an extended conversation, its probably nothing, but you can't shake the feeling that he is pushing for an alliance with House Casamuchi himself, and will probably act to ensure that your relationship and betrothal falls apart, so that he deny you such a boon, and perhaps even take your place.....

There's always a chance that our rival is trying to see if he can worm his way in, having our would be in law hesitate, as two rising governers would be cor marrying his daughter. Suppose we can answer:
When I feel shes ready for it.
Or
When I have won her heart.

Making it subjective so we don't have to give a definite time, but make it sound soon.

Have elite team of our body guards shadow us and after the main events at the ball, try and "ditch" and find a more secluded place.

Ask for her help to find a place with a good view, that is secluded somewhat, and is important or holds significance. When she brings us to the place, we ask her about the significance of the location, then take a moment to ask her what she'd think about meeting us here again in one years time, would she like that? If she says yes, propose to her.

When we are finally alone with her, we tell her beforehand its not unusual for bad people to try and sneak up on us when we are isolated like this to do evil on us. if anyone tries to cockblock us, like say a certain rival, we tell her to run and hide from him, make it like sort of a fun game to ditch Ronson Alpharius, and then ask her to take us someplace special.

So we've secured a really good marriage and assured that our territory will eventually expand by quite a lot, glad we didn't wait on that.

Our fleet is pretty strong now, maybe a focus on troop building?

Though I'd like our main focus to be on development of our planets, start pushing more on agriculture and mining to assure no shortages, maybe also start on further developing our primitive people, that would be a good idea.

As for ties, clearly building real connections with the imperial navy and guard is still a bit up in the air but overall looks positive. It'd also be a good idea to further develop relations with Ecclesiarchy, as developing a better repertoire with the local leaders of our sector. From what I remember we've already impressed them somewhat with our honesty.

As for the techpriests, making further business deals with the forgeworld in this sector would be a good idea, as well as helping xeroth form his own group of on planet engineers under his supervision to help him work on more projects.

Finally, focusing on rebuilding rorshca faster would certainly help, since our main source of revenue comes from Tarquin IV and some mining on Tarquin V I think.

Other than that, fully conquering the separatist but that goes without saying
>>
>>2036667
Expanding our ground forces and aircraft would be a solid route I think. Since we have somewhat limited ability for troop buildup and even less ability to form mechanized units easily if we were to go with airborne/drop troopers we would have a fair amount of flexibility in our troop deployments on a planet.

You go on to talk to the Techpriest about other adeptus mechanicus related topics, with you asking some questions about their lifestyles and other attempts at small talk, wihich all fail, as the techpriest, seems to simply repeat to you a set of processes and rituals that are followed virtually every single day of his existence....

Glad, you ordered the ship, find an excuse to extricate yourself from the conversation and make your way over to the local nobles, who are being regaled with a story from Johann about the great times at some of his events he's hosted, extending invitations to all of them, people make way for you as you approach and join the conversation....

A. Johann throws the best parties
B. He does a good job, but mine are better

Friends with the party guy gets us the party cred without the need to actually host them. Works everytime.

You compliment Johanns parties, and spend the next few minutes talking him up when you get the opportunity, with Johann doing the same for you several times....

Already impressed, the local nobles are practically awe-struck when Lara, of House Casamuchi itself, has come to join the group, her taking your hand and giving you a smile as she does so....

A you kiss her hand, and make a moment of it, as the strategically located filmcrew is given the cue to get into position....

The crowd oohs and aahs as you present her with the blue diamond ring, a the massive gemstone drawing the pictgraph lenses as well as most of the crowd, the young women, particularly, who make a sport of getting their husbands to propose with the most expensive rings possible, with particularly gaudy ones being the latest fashion in the Imperium.....

She accepts your proposal and gives you a fullmouthed kiss, directly in front of the pictgraph crew and the fawning onlookers....

It is quickly followed by a grand announcement by Lord Casamuchi about our bethrothal and the ever strengthening ties between House Valoran and House Casamuchi....

You spend the better part of the rest of the night with Lara. speaking to guests and dancing through at least a dozen songs as the news of the Betrothal brought new life and energy to an already lively event.....
>>
>>2043658
Lara insists on staying the night, and you oblige, feeling it impossible to resist her beauty...

The next morning, she quickly leaves, telling you she has important business to attend to, and that you should return home to your own world, as her father apparently, has masterminded a campaign against the Separatists, which he intends to lead, in order to gain political favor, and secure more territory....

He will be expecting a large amount of support from your forces.....
>>
>>2043668
Well I like dad in law. We should throw in 100% any gains he makes is will be ours in the long run.
>>
>>2043668
You return and find that while you were gone, you secret police forces have discovered a sophisticated criminal element operating amongst the black markets on Tarkon IV, a group, with apparent ties to criminals outside of the system, has begun to smuggle frenzine offworld, as well human slaves. They have also started an extremely effective counterfit operation, making their own Imperial thrones, which look almost exactly like the golden throne coins used all over the galaxy, your men only found out about the counterfiting after discovering their other operations due the excellent quality of the fake currency....

A. Stamp down on this operation and wipe it out
B. Allow it to continue in the meantime
C. Same as A, but try to make use of the counterfitting workers and equipment for yourself

We need to inform the Administratum about this.

Crime on planets we own is bad. That's our drugs and our slave labor.

You have a secret police operation wipe out the criminal syndicate...
>>
>>2043770
That's goodish
>>
>>2043786
It's a decent success, I can live with it
>>
>>2043770
The attempt to surround and destroy the criminals is a success, albeit a slightly messy one, with your secret police forces forced to destroy several buildings in the market district closing it down for several weeks, and causing property damage to the street and nearby buildings, owned by the small but growing business class of entrepeneurs, a mix of nobles that have either sold their lands, or never had any to begin with investing their wealth in businesses, they are joined by common peasants and former slaves that have acquired wealth somehow....

A total of 1 TU of damage was done, when a chimera with a massive ram was used to knock down the walls of the main criminal safehouse, allowing the assault team to quickly eliminate the threats....

Your men also take almost a 30 casualties, with a dozen dead, with half of the dead from safehouse that was booby-trapped with several hundred pounds of explosives, destroying the entire 3 story buildings next to it as well....

The rest were killed and wounded by the security for the criminal syndicate that were well armed with Tzavaras rifles, lasguns and even 2 plasma rifles, the weapons a rare and valuable weapon in the imperium....
>>
>>2043803
>>2043547

I also forgot to include the ring in the expenses between that and the damage done in the operation are down to 7.5 TU
>>
>>2043811
So try not to overspend then, got it.
>>
>>2043803
>The rest were killed and wounded by the security for the criminal syndicate that were well armed with Tzavaras rifles, lasguns and even 2 plasma rifles, the weapons a rare and valuable weapon in the imperium....
>Tzavaras
Well, that's an issue
>>
>>2043824
We already knew he probably sold to Heretics and Aliens already, so him selling the criminals isn't that big of a surprise.
>>
>>2043803
While you have some engineers and construction workers dispatched to the market district, you are updated by Zachias that the first official class of scout Astartes trained here have are soon to begin implantations of the geneseed

>>2043803
>>2043833
>>2043824

I also forgot to mention that their security troops were also equipped with carapace armor, of an unknown make, likely from far-away or being made in a secret facility and somehow acquired by the criminals.....
>>
>>2043837
So Tzavaras definitely needs to be killed right? He's really making things hard on the Empire, you know with giving plasma rifles to criminals and heretics.
>>
>>2043837
The genewarrior project is also doing well, with the test volunteers, who have since taken an array of biological and pyschological tests, are beginning their military training, or if they were already in our military forces, are being redeployed, back into their old units, where they will be observed for at least several months, with their performance and behavior after the genetic modifications being assessed the entire time for any signs of taint or corruption....

You are assured that they will be fine long-term by Ishmael and his team, and are going to assume that he is correct that the only loss will be 10% in the initial implanation process...

A. Have the procedures perfomed on 100 subjects(1 TU)
B. Have the procedures performed on 1000 subjects(10 TU, will put us into debt)
C. Pass on the project for now

Tzavaras has sold weapons to many parties, so it would be hard to trace those back to him, as they could have traded others for them, or taken them as spoils of war, at least that is what the Rogue Traders will say.....

This our first try, should keep it small in case of complications. Also, debt...

Super soldiers not too bad I think, getting caught full blown geneseeding space marines is pretty high up there though. Even in our position, getting caught would be very bad.
>>
>>2043873
I still don't know why past anons thought that was a good idea.
>>
>>2043878
I was for it before and I'm still for it, I'm just not retarded enough to not comprehend the full consequences of our actions or the horrible fate we'll have should we be caught. Still though, the potential future of our military might and power should we fully succeed, with space marines and super soldier regiments is just too tantalizing to pass up.

The test subjects are quickly recruited from the pool of volunteers and the modifications have begun...

It will be a few weeks before the side effects and the bodily rejections occur.....

In the meantime, you can attempt reforms and new policies to implement as well as new plans for construction projects and other tasks...
A. Reform the land-ownership laws, effectively forcibly buying out the nobility, seizing their land, allowing us to sell it back to their former owners, as well as other investors, or alternatively using it ourselves to set up more plantations, farms,as as storage and manufacturing facilities(-20 TU)(expansion on Tarkon IV is now 50% off)
B. Launch an anti-corruption and cost cutting campaign in your administration, putting surveillance on a large number of people is an expensive and politically unpopular thing to do, however(-2 TU)(+1 TU/Year)
C. Develop a new manufactory for the construction of Leman Russ tanks, Chimeras and civilian vehicles, such as a home grown utility truck design, based loosely off the greenskin vehicles your men have fought against, able to carry large heavy loads, while remaining rugged, and simple to build and other machines(-6 TU)(allows you to equip your own forces, and export them for sale, once a surplus is made, it will cost money to operate as well, and can be shutdown)
D. Expand the plantations of our main cash crop, Frenzine, buy up the lands from local landholders, along with tractors and equipment, with a core of experienced plantation administrators and work leaders to set up another round of expansions(-4 TU)(+2 TU/Year)
E. Expand our ground forces with another 5 regular infantry regiments, they will be assigned as garrison troops on Tarkon IV, infantry regiments are your basic regiment type, and come equipped with flak armor and lasguns, and lack vehicles and artillery, air units and other support forces.
They also are equipped with the occasional special weapon and a heavy weapons squad assigned to every company....(-2 TU)

We need rolling armor, this would allow us to make a pretty decent army with almost no outside help.
>>

You opt to build new plantations and oversee their establishment on the new lands, it will take several weeks to plant the new crop and the growing season can last months depending on various factors....

You are informed that implantations of the gene seed have begun on the first class of astartes, with 30 young men, already heavily tested for compatibility and trained for over a year with zachias.

Rolled 65 + 10 (1d100 + 10)

That's solidly good
>>

The implantation is decent success with only 4 of the 30 candidates dying from implant rejections....

2 of the 4, were from the world eater geneseed, known to be less stable and with higher fatality rates than the very pure luna wolves and Dark Angel geneseed....

It will be 10 years before they can be harvested, providing us with additional geneseed....

The new aspirants, now that they have become full initiates, that have been issued carapace armor along with regular boltguns, along with special weapons as the mission demands....

Zachias wants the new scouts to be deployed on the upcoming campaign so that they gain valuable experience, which they will need in order to become fully respected battle-brothers.....

You are enjoying a lunch provided by your serving staff when you recieve a notification from the astropathic chamber, it seems your family has heard through the gossip channels about your betrothal to Lady Casamuchi, which you are congratulated on by your Father and older Brother.....

They wish you to delay the wedding until the warp storm lets up so that they may attend....

A. Tell them you will wait
B. Tell them you will see what you can do
C. Tell them that you may still change your mind about this bethrothal
D. Other(Write-in)

Also this is a good opportunity to ask anything from your family

Talk quickly turns to you talking about your personal condition and how you are actually quite safe, despite the rumors swirling about how the entire part of the Imperium is overrun by Separatists and heretics....

Alright I got to hit the sack, but we will pick up sometime this week, so stay tuned, please feel free to discuss future plans and general things about the thread
