"Papa!" You hear Holly shout as she runs up to a man that appeared to be in his late 50's, accompannied by a black man in a white and red robe.

You assume the older man must be the real estate tycoon, Joseph Joestar. But who is the other guy?

You approach the three adults along with Jotaro and Kakyoin, it takes some time to Holly and Joseph to finish their playful conversation, but after that Joseph turns his attention to his grandson.

"Well hello Jotaro. It's been a while, hasnt it?" Joseph smiles as he speaks to his grandson, expecting a warm welcoming not unlike Holly gave him.

Clearly Joseph doesnt know a lot about Jotaro as he is now.

"We have a lot to discuss, old man. I would appreciate if we skipped the pleasantries for something this important."

"Old Man?" Joseph seems to be surprised by his grandson's abrasive introduction. "Is this really the education my daughter Holly's been giving to you?"

Jotaro briefly seems annoyed by the statement, but he lets Joseph finish what he has to say.

"Well, you are right about the first part though, i take you and your friends have a lot of questions for me"

Joseph then looks at both you and Kakyoin and extends his left hand.

"Good morning. My name is Joseph Joestar." he says in a friendly tone to you.

>(Shake his hand)

>Hello, I'm Hitomi Furuya.

>Can you really help us with our stands?

>It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr Joestar.

You're not really used to this sort of greeting, but you still shake his hand, giving him a firm grip.

His hand feels hard and cold, even with his gloves. Weird, but not really worth commenting on.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr Joestar. I'm Hitomi Furuya." You politely greet him while letting go of his hand.

"Thank you for coming, Mr Joestar." Kakyoin shakes Joseph's hand after you, with the elderly man looking pleased by receiving a warmer reception than Jotaro's.

"Do you have more information about Dio and his kind?" You ask him, trying to get down to business with him.

"Ah, of course. Here, i brought a few pictures." Joseph takes out a few polaroid photos from his coat.

The pictures seem to be on a boat, showing an old, damaged coffin with 3 golden letters on the side.

"DIO"

"These photos are from a 100 year old coffin that was recovered on the Atlantic Ocean, close to the African coast, 4 years ago. After obtaining these and doing some ressearched, i discovered that this coffin came from the boat which my Grandfather, Jonathan Joestar died in. The boat was completely empty when found, along with the coffin being unlocked and completely empty. I knew exactly what that meant, so me and my friend Avdol have been trying our best to find him for a while now.

Joseph points to the arabic man at his side, prompting him to finally speak.

"Your friend Kakyoin's encounter with Dio will surely be a great help, now that we know that Dio hasnt left Egypt we should be able to track him down."

>"What did Avdol decide to help you find Dio?"

>"Does that mean you both have stands, too?"

>"What does Dio really want from all of this?"

>"Does that mean you both have stands, too?"

It seems strange that DIO awakened a stand in Hitomi, yet didn't feel the need to implant a flesh bud in her like he did Kakyoin.

Same question rises up, too. In fact, maybe we should have Jotaro or Joseph make sure we don't have one on us. We don't want to end up like pic related.
>>
"Wait.Does that mean you both have stands, too?" You curiously ask Joseph?

"Of course!" Joseph says confidently. "Did you really think we would fight a vampire like Dio unarmed? If you dont mind, i can give you a small demonstration of what i'm capable of."

Avdol promptly hands Joseph a polaroid camera.

"If you wanna know how i figured out about Dio's whereabouts so easily, it's because i've recieved this stand about a year ago, and it's ability is something that turned out to be quite handy."

Joseph holds his camera with one hand as he extends the other one, which appears to have some purple vines extending out of his arm.

"This is my stand ability! Hermit Purple!"

Joseph swiftly chops the polaroid camera, smashing it to pieces while letting out one last photo.

As he grabs the photo and presents it to you and your companions, you see Joseph's stand ability at work.

The picture shows Dio looking straight at the camera with his back turned, showing a weird star mark on the side of his neck.

"Did you all see the purple vines that came from my arm? That was my stand, Hermit Purple. It's ability is to display any information i wish by using different objects or people, just like i did to look for Dio even though i dont know his exact location. Any more questions?"

>"What's that star mark on his neck?"

"What's that star mark on his neck?" You ask Joseph.

"That is the Joestar birthmark, everyone connected by the Joestar bloodline has one of these." He says as he shows the one near his left shoulder.

"This is how i know the reason this bastard is still alive. Dio stole my Grandfather Jonathan's body and stayed hidden in the ocean this entire time! I cant let him get hide and get away with this."

"But what does Dio actually want from this, what are his goals?" You ask, trying to learn about Dio's end goal.

"Im not really sure myself, but i've dealt with a few vampires in my youth, and given how me and Jotaro received stand abilities at the same time period as him, i dont think i want to know what he wants."

Avdol once again speaks up to give out additional information.

"Normally stand users are born with their stands, but it seems that Dio somehow acquired a stand by himself which passed down to the Joestar bloodline, we're not really sure how this happened, though.

They dont seemm to really know about the arrow, do you decide them to tell you about the encounter with Dio and how he used a golden arrow to awaken your stand ability, even though you never had one before.

Avdol and Joseph both seem shocked about this revelation.

"So that's how he did it..." Avdol ponders.

"If he can give powerful stands to anyone he wants, then who knows what he might be able to do? we cant let him have acess to that kind of power!" Joseph exclaims as he squeezes his fist shut. "That's it! Avdol, we have to got to Egypt as soon as posible!"

"You can count on me, Mr Joestar. I wont run away from Dio again." Avdol says with a serious expression on his face.

"I genuinely feel like i have failed Hitomi and Jotaro's family by being a coward and letting Dio manipulate me. I'll do my best to make up to both of you, and if that means stopping Dio, so be it." Kakyoin adds, showing his devotion to Joseph's cause.

"Good grief." Jotaro sighs. "It seems they're all pretty motivated on stopping Dio, so it'd be wrong of me to refuse helping them. Giving how Hitomi has been dragged into this, i dont think she's running away from this either."

>You bet. We cant let Dio ruin people's lives like that.

>I refuse to run away. Dio needs to pay for what he's done to me.

"You bet!" You confidently say back to the group. We cant let Dio ruin people's lives like that, we have to get rid of this threat as soon as possible!"

They all seem pleasantly surprised with your enthusiasm, surely feeling encouraged themselves by your statement.

"It's settled, then." Joseph says, walking away from you all. "I'm off to buy the tickets to Cairo, Thanks for the help, Hitomi!"

As Joseph leaves, Avdol looks up to Jotaro while pulling up a deck of cards.

"Tell me, Jotaro. Have you already found a name for your stand?"

"Not really. I havent thought of a good name for him yet."

"As a fortune teller, i would like to give you a name for it, pick one of these cards from my tarot deck. Any card you pick will be able to define your destiny as a stand user."

Jotaro complies and picks a random card from the deck.

"You picked The Star card! So your stand's name will be Star Platinum." Avdol proudly says, and judging by Jotaro's reaction, he seems to just fine with that name

Now that all's set and done, you patiently wait for Joseph to arrive with your tickets to Egypt.

Is he some kind of foreign businessman dealing in real estate who just does fortune telling as a side project? Doesn't seem like an American real estate tycoon would be likely to meet up with a foreign fortune teller.

After briefly thanking him for the kind words, you tell him that you're curious to know about his stand and how he met up with Joseph

"Well, i've actually had encountered Dio before you and Kakyoin. You see, i've made a living as a fortune teller in Khan el-Khalili,the bazaar district and one of Cairo's main attractions for tourist. For some reason i encountered Dio standing outside the first floor of my office around July of this year. Were it any other circumstance, i would just activate my stand and shoo him off with it's ability, but Dio's presence gave me nothing but a crippling amount of fear , i could feel every inch of my body telling me to run away before he could do something. So i did."

Figures, considering what happened when you and Kakyoin met him, running away was probably the best move.

"By this time, Mr Joestar was already traveling around trying to discover more about Dio's wereabouts and stand users, so the SpeedWagon Foundation quickly came in contact with me to see if i could aid him in his search, We've been traveling together ever since."

"As for my stand... Magician's Red!" Avdol shouts as a red humanoid figure with a bird's head comes out from behind him, judging by the color scheme and the small flames around him, you probably guess his stand has something to do with controlling fire.

"What do you think? I've had Magician's Red since i was born, so i think a bit of experience will give us some advantage when we encounter Dio again."

>Speedwagon Foundation? What is that?

"Speedwagon Foundation?" You say in confusion. "What is that?"

"The Speedwagon Foundation is an organization dedicated to medical research and environmental conservation, but it also researches about supernatural phenomena, including stands and vampires. It was founded by an older friend of Mr Joestar, but ever since the founder passed away, Mr. Joestar has been taking care of the company, which is always ready to help him out."

So Joseph is both a real estate and a supernatural researcher? Just how much money does he has power over companies like those...

Changing the subject, you ask Avdol what his stand's abilities are in hopes he can help you and Jotaro train.

"Magician's Red is capable of generating intense flames and manipulate them at will, since the fire comes from my stand, only stand users can see it, even though non stand users can still feel the heat from it. I'm not sure how i can help you find out your stand's abilities, but if you ever wish to spar, i'll be more than ready to help you practice." He says, making his stand disappear.

You inform him about being able to spar with Avdol if he feels like it during the journey, and also what is his overall opinion on the situation.

"Dio,huh? Never thought i'd travel to another continent to punch a guy i dont even know, but the situation is pretty serious, so its not something worth complaining about. As for Avdol, it'll probably be useful to test my strength before fighting someone that wants to kill me, we dont know if dio plans to attack us during the our travel either."

Speaking about stands, since Jotaro and Joseph got stands due to being of Joestar blood, shouldnt that mean that Holly could develop a stand or be a vulnerable for Dio?

As you mention your worries to Jotaro, he seems to get awfully tense, and after you finish speaking he gives you a firm response.

"That is something i've been worrying about myself. The thing is, when i was practicing with my Star Platinum at home, she said that she could actually see him behind me. I had no choice but to inform her about stands, the reason the old man really came, and Dio. So that's why she didnt get really surprised during our talk."

Joseph already probably has the fundamentals handled, but it's probably been a while since Joseph's seen Holly. If nothing else, it should give peace of mind to Jotaro if he hashes out the details and particulars with Joseph.

Jotaro: "Good grief. For once i can actually talk to a girl that actually listens to me without being annoying. I hope she doesnt let me down."

Joseph: "What a nice kid, she seems really determined about fighting Dio too. But i'm not sure if she's ready for it, is her stand even any good?"

Avdol: "That girl has a lot to learn, but she seems smart enough to not jump in dangerous situations. She'll surely be useful in this journey."

You decide to inform Jotaro about the Speedwagon Foundation and how Joseph could offer some security using them to relieve Jotaro.

"Thanks a lot..." Jotaro says with a warm smile on his face. "I'll talk to the old man about it, i doubt he will refuse."

It's weird to see Jotaro smile at you like that, especially giving his abasive demeanor, but you guess he's warming up to you.

You can spot Joseph coming at the group in the distance with 5 tickets in hand.

"Alright, i got us as plane for 2 hours from now, hopefully we can--" He stops himself and notices the absence of his daughter.

"W-Where did Holly go? I wanted to say goodbye to her."

Jotaro stands up from his bench and walks up to Joseph.

"Old man, i think we should talk about something right now..."

Jotaro walks off with Joseph in the distance, surely 2 hours should be enough time for them to sort things out.

...

After some time, you finally Get on the plane along with your companions. As the plane begins to take off, you feel a bit of fear for what's to come, but that fear is completely overshadowed by your determination, since you know your bizarre adventure is only beggining...

That also occurred under the careful and similarly round-the-clock tutelage of Lisa-Lisa, Logs, and Messina, who were all skilled Hamon masters/instructors in their own right.

Even if Hitomi gets her Hamon awakened and manages to revive a dead tree like Jonathan did, it's not gonna be easy to train on the road while Joseph tries to wrack his brain for stuff he learned over 50 years ago.

Since you've already made a trip to Egypt before, you expect the trip to last around 11 hours, so it's probably going to get a bit boring if you just stay down in your seat doing absolutely nothing for that long.

Luckily, you decided to sit close to two of your traveling buddies to talk to them and pass the time, the two of them being:

You've already spent a good amount of time with Jotaro and Kakyoin to be acquainted with them, so you decide to sit next to Avdol and Joseph to get to know them better.

"I have to say Avdol, i think i'm getting a bit too old to change my sleep schedule like this. "Joseph informs Avdol. " I just hope this trip doesnt take too long. I told Suzi i would just do a quick business trip after going to Japan, so she might not buy it if it gets delayed."

"Dio might have already sent a stand user in our way, so we might have to stay awake to not delay you any further." Avdol insightfully replies.

"Great... At least i still have my walkman here" Joseph whines as he searches his pockets for his walkman.

This is probably the best time to mention this, they havent really told you their plans when they actually have to come to blows with Dio, if they even have any. You quickly point out your worries to them and ask how this is going to work.

"Of course we do." Joseph confidently says. "With Dio being a vampire, we cant just gang up on him and expect to win, I've had my fair share of encounters with vampires but even i wasnt foolish enough to fight Dio by myself."

"All the more reason to train our stands before we start our search" Avdol concludes. "After we learn the basics of eachother's stands, we can work together to improve on eachother's weaknesses to have better results against enemy stand users, no matter how powerful Dio's ability might be, i'm sure we can wear him down if we turn the fight into a war of attrition."

"My Hamon will surely help a lot, too." Joseph adds. "He wont fight us in broad daylight, but if it hit him with a good charge, it'll be like the worst sunburn of his entire life!"

Ask about stand abilities and if they're restricted in any way. So far we've had fire, our power, hierophant green, and jotaro stand, and while it seems the common thread is elements, we can't be sure. And what if dio's is really OP? Like gravity control or something?

Hamon? You dont think you've ever heard that word before. Is it a another ability that Joseph didnt show to you?

"You see Hitomi, while vampires cant walk around during the day, they're free to do whatever they want at night. To them from terrorizing humanity, some people developed an ancient form of martial arts that managed to replicate the Sun's energy through a person's self-controlled respiration. So if any vampire got hit by a Hamon charged attack, they would burn just like they would if they were out in the sun."

As Joseph finishes his statement, you can see him sclosing his eyes and focusing on his breathing, which slowly grows louder and slower.

You can see some sort of yellow colored sparks on his body as he opens his eyes again to give you more information about what he just did.

"It's been a while since i've actually done this, but i've inherited some talent with Hamon from my Grandfather Jonathan. It was how he was able to deal with Dio back then. I had to use it a lot to fight against some vampires and a few tougher creatures than that. My stand might not be the strongest, but if i get one good hit on Dio with my Hamon, he'll be as good as dead."

Hamon does seem to be an extremely useful ability, you ask Joseph if he knows any other hamon users that could help against Dio. If not, he could always teach the technique to you and everyone else.

"I'm afraid there arent any users left." Joseph visibly frowns. "After me and my friends of the threat of vampires and their predecessors: The Pillar Men, the remaining Hamon users that were still alive werent counting on Dio showing back up. So we simply moved on with our lives. The last Hamon master i knew was my mother Elizabeth. She trained me and my friend Caesar back when i was a teenager, but she sadly passed away last year, and she wasnt training anyone by then."

These memories seem to be very painful for Joseph, so you figure he didnt just stayed quiet about this because he didnt feel like teaching anyone about this.

Avdol puts a hand on Joseph shouder, encouraging him to continue the conversation.

"I remember they had one technique to awaken Hamon powers in a normal person, but since i was a big slacker in my younger days i didnt think i would ever need that, so i simply disregarded the information. But if i do remember how it was done, i'll be sure to let you all know about it."

Since you dont really want to hurt Joseph's feelings, you decide to change the subject and ask him about his grandfather Jonathan.

"Alright then, i guess that's story is a lot easier to tell..."

For the next few hours of the trip, Joseph enthusiastically tells you all about his grandfather and Dio's adoptive brother, Jonathan Joestar. While Joseph was never able to meet him personally, his grandmother Erina and his Uncle Speedwagon told him all about his adventures in his younger days.

Ever since Dio was a kid, he was always an opportunist. He picked on Jonathan and tried to be better than him in everyway, even trying going so far as poisoning his own father just to inherit the Joestar fortune, thankfully Jonathan was there to prevent his plan from going through.

However Dio discovered the hidden mechanism of an ancient stone mask that he found in the Joestar Mansion that managed to turn human beings into vampires, so Dio decided to reject his humanity altogether in order to surpass Jonathan.

Jonathan somehow managed to win the fight, but Dio managed to get away. Fortunately a few hamon warriors from his time managed to efficiently teach him all about Hamon so they could fight once more.

After losing to Jonathan and getting his body destroyed, Dio then decided to fake his death and wait for the perfect time to strike back, which was at Jonathan's honeymoon with his wife Erina Pendleton.

Jonathan was caught in a surprised attack and was pierced in his throat, however he managed to save his wife and take Dio with him down the sinking ship they were in, where he remained for about a hundred years before coming back again.

Joseph seemed really passionate about his grandpa, looking up to him with great respect like a kid would look to a comic book superhero.

Before you can even ask more questions about Jonathan's past and learn more about his family, you realized the people around you were slowly going quiet as the lights from the passanger's seat started to turn themselves off.

Joseph looks up to his watch in surprise.

"Oh my god! 8 PM already? I was so caught up in the story i didnt even realize how long we were talking, i guess we'll have to leave the questions for another time, some people are already going to sleep so i dont want to make too much noise."

"Why don't we take turns for this? I dont want people losing sleep over a stand user that might not even show up. I'll take the first watch for you guys." You say to Joseph and Avdol.

At first they dont seem too keen on the idea, but you've probably earned their trust at this point, so one by one they all went to sleep.

Truth to be told, between doing all your exams back in class, preparing yourself for Dio and training your stand all day, you seem to feel really tired yourself, by the time it's 10 PM, your eyelids are barely opening.

As soon as you remind yourself that you promised to stay awake, you lift your head back up on your seat and open your eyes only to be shocked by what you see.

A stag beetle about the size of your hand closes in on you, opening it's mouth and extending a stinger aiming straight to your head.

It's an enemy stand!

"Karma Chamel--" Is all you can manage to say as you summon out your stand and place her 4 hands in front of you before 3 of them get pierced by the stag beetle's stinger at an amazing speed.

You yelp out in pain as you feel both your hands bleeding on the same spot your hands got impaled. Despite Karma's injuries, you know that i'd be a stupid idea to let go of the stinger, so you instinctively tightened your grip, managing to stop the stinger an inch away from your throat.

Your sqeual seemed to awaken Avdol. However you take that using Magician's Red's fire abilities in a closed airplane would likely result in an even faster death for you, which seems to be the case as he moves close to Joseph's side and shakes in order to wake him up.

You seem to be at a stalemale with the beetle, you refuse to let go of his stinger since you know what that means for you, but he's constantly moving his stinger and flying around as fast as he can in order to let go, considering how fast he attacked you, you doubt you'll get another chance to hit him if he manages to slip away.

Using your stand's free hand, you decide to place it on your seat in order to absorb it and pass it onto the beetle's stinger.

While you easily manage to do the first part, you realize that you shot yourself on the foot by making this decision, since Karma stand went from marble to cloth, the grip on his stinger went noticeably softer, making it easier for him to slid it closer to your throat.

You move a bit to the side to dodge his attack, only for the stinger to slash away at your shoulder.

Before he could tear you arm off, Joseph's Hermit Purple's vines entangle the insect from behind, making him fall to the ground.

"Talk about a close call, huh?" Joseph says, while holding the beetle in place "I'll let this one slide since its your first real stand battle, but dont be so carelessy next time, these guys wont hesitate to kill you if you dont plan your attacks carefully."

"Mr Joestar, i think i recognize this stand!" Avdol points out. ''This is no other than Tower of Gray, the stand which represents the Tower card! I heard its stand user Gray Fly was specialized in making his attacks look like accidents, he recently cause an accident in England that resultedin at least 300 casualties."

"What a sick person..." Joseph comments "Well at least he's already stuck like a fly on a web, so crushing this bug wont be much of a hassle."

"Hehehehehe. That won't do you any good... "You hear a voice come out of the beetle. "Even if you kill me now, there's no way for any of you to escape!"

What is he even talking about--

Wait a minute... Is it just you or is the plane... Tilting to the side...?

"I am the Stand that holds The Tower card, which suggest accidents at the end of a journey." The beetle says "While you were all sleeping i decided to pay a little visit to the cockpit and say hello to the pilots before attacking this girl."

No way. He planned to kill everyone on the plane in case he failed? Just how desperate this madman is to get rid of you?

"You will not reach Lord Dio! Even if you survive this crash, you are still 10,000 Kilometers away from Egypt! Those who swore loyalty to Lord Dio will pursue you every hour of the day! There are stands in this world that you can't even imagine, and Lord Dio has the power to reign over all of them. There's no way you can reach him!"

You can hear Tower Of Gray go into a long laughing fit as the panic hits you, Avdol and Joseph in full force.

"He's already killed the pilots!?" Avdol repeats in disbelief.

You can feel the plane slowly start to lose it's altitude. At this point, it wont take more than a few minutes before the plane comes crashing down.

You run up to Kakyoin and Jotaro's seat and shake them up.

Jotaro opens his eyes after a few seconds, with Kakyoin doing the same.

After taking a quick glance at the wounds from your hands and shoulder along with the giant stag beetle on the ground, Jotaro dismissively shakes his head.

"Good grief. Dont tell me you've slept on watch...."

"What happened?" Kakyoin confusedly asks to Joseph, who was still holding Tower Of Gray with Hermit Purple.

"The enemy stand user killed the pilots!" Joseph replies back to Kakyoin. "I've had to fly a plane when i was younger, so maybe i can still save us when we get to the cockpit, but for now we still have to deal with this guy."

"I see. I'm going over to the cockpit and make sure no one sees the bodies and makes a scene. I'll wait for you there once you get rid of this mess."

Jotaro stands up and runs to the cockpit. Kakyoin on the other hand, gently rubs his eyes and walks to where you and the others are.

You ask Kakyoin to hold the beetle in Joseph's place, which he complies.

After summoning Hierophant Green and binding him up, Joseph thanks him and deactivates his stand, rushing up to the cockpit to meet with Jotaro.

"Crush his foot or something Kakyoin." You say to your pink haired classmate. "That way we can find and interrogate the stand user. He might have information about Dio!"

Kakyoin tightens his bind on Tower Of Gray, breaking some of Tower of Gray's legs.

"AAAAAH!" You hear an old man shout from the other side of the plane as he falls down to the floor with his legs twisted.

"That's him!" Avdol points out to Kakyoin as he keeps his eye on the stand.

"So that geezer is the stand user? I guess a repulsive Stand could only have a repulsive user."

Avdol walks up to the user in hopes of interrogating him, only to fall down due to the plane's sudden movements.

You take it Joseph has taken control over the plane.

"Passengers your attention please, due to technical difficulties, we'll be forced to do an emergency landing in the sea. Please remain on your seats an get ready for impact."

Joseph repeats the message over the speakers, making people wake up and quickly strap themselves on their chairs, except for one person.

"Damn it. This cant be!" Gray Fly curses out in anger, he probably wont be able to get back up due to his broken legs, while everyone else will probably be just fine."

You run up to Avdol and help him get to the nearest seat close to him.

"Thank you. I couldnt really risk using Magician's Red to get back up." Avdol gladly thanks you as he straps himself on his seat.

Given how he cant use his stand inside the plane he must be feeling pretty useless, so he probably appreciates the help.

Nontheless, you still have to deal with Gray Fly. You dont want him to pull any weird acts, so it's best to stay close to him and watch out while Kakyoin looks for his stand.

You run to the other side of the plane and strap yourself on a seat near Gray Fly. He's still on the ground and judging by the way his legs are bent, he isnt getting up by himself.

"Help me! Please!" You hear him pathetically plead while on the ground "I beg you, i wont bother any of you ever again! Just lont let me die here!"

You already screwed up big time by sleeping while Gray Fly killed the pilots, so you're not taking any chances with him, even if that means losing information on Dio.

"You just tried to kill me back there. Why should i trust anything you say at this point?" You sternly say it straight to his face.

"No! I'm serious! Please dont let me die here!" Gray Fly keeps pleading for his life while you stay strapped on your chair and cover your ears.

Before the old man could say anything else. The plane makes a rough landing on the ocean, making the old man fly up to the plane's ceiling and hit his head with full force, instantly crushing his skull, by the time he comes down, there's not much of his face left to look at.

His stand fades away, making it possible for Kakyoin to retract his stand and relax. After some time. Joseph and Jotaro come over to where you're seated.

"Well, i guess this could have gone a lot worse." Joseph ponders while looking "We've landed about 30 kilometers off the Hong Kong coast. No need to worry though, i already called for help since he didnt break the radio. Rescue is already on it's way"

...

September 1nd, 1988

After sucessfully getting out of the plane and arriving in Kowloon, Hong Kong, Joseph goes over to a payphone to make a call, leaving you with Avdol, Jotaro and Kakyoin on the other side of the street.

"If Dio's hired all kinds of stand users to hunt us down and stop us from getting to Egypt, he'll probably hear that the plane didn't crash as intended. We should get out of here as quickly as possible, before he sends someone after us."

>>Apologize for falling asleep. This wouldnt have happened if you noticed Gray Fly while staying awake.

I figure we apologize with our actions. Make it clear it'll never happen again.

Hell, DIO probably already has assassins in place just for this very contingency.

You're quick yo apologize to the group. You cant help but feel like you've let them down for falling asleep. Not only that cost the pilots' life, but if it wasnt for Joseph and the others that probably would have costed the life of many innocent bystanders. You know that doesnt mean much now, but you feel like you should at least say that you're sorry.

As soon as you start talking Jotaro gives you a look like he's about to scold you, but after hearing what you had to say, he lets it go and stays quiet.

"Hey, there's no need to feel so guilty about this." Avdol's the first to respond to your apology. "We understand you're not used to these kinds of situations, and Gray Fly was bound to do something there, so you still did the best you could despite your mistakes and inexperience."

"Maybe i should have taken first watch then..." Kakyoin says to himself. "Putting too much pressure on a new stand user probably wont do her any good."

"Fine. Just make sure this doesnt happen again." Jotaro says before noticing Joseph coming over to them.

"Who were you calling, old man?" Jotaro asks his grandfather.

"Oh, i'll explain things after we get to my friend's restaurant." Joseph says back to Jotaro. "We had a pretty rough day, so it's best to have some good food before talking about how things will go from here."

You all follow Joseph for a few minutes until he comes to a big, fancy restaurant for you all to eat. While the waiter hanst come around, Joseph decides to start informing all of you.

"I dont think we can afford to risk people's lives by going on commercial flights like these. Especially since an enemy stand user worse than Gray Fly could come to attack us there.

"If Dio's hired all kinds of stand users to hunt us down and stop us from getting to Egypt, he'll probably hear that the plane didn't crash as intended." You say back to Joseph "We should get out of here as quickly as possible, before he sends someone after us."

"I'm aware of that." Joseph says. "So i think the best way to travel would be by sea. After charting a boat, we'll cross the Malay Penisula and Cross the Indian Ocean. Hopefully we'll avoid any stand users Dio has on it's way."

What's your take on this?

>"Good idea, we dont want to tire ourselves out with enemy stand users before we get to Dio."

>"Are you sure this is the best route to go? It'll probably take a lot longer..."

>"I'm not sure, i havent been to any of these places before..."

Not to mention that an enemy stand user could just disable our boat & communications in the middle of the ocean and possibly delay us for weeks.

>"also, if there's a stand user on the boat, won't we just wind up in a similar situation to the plane? do you have some way to secure it?"

"Are you sure this is the best route to go?" You say in response to Joseph's plan "It'll probably take a lot longer... Also, if there's a stand user on the boat, won't we just wind up in a similar situation to the plane? do you have some way to secure it? "

"The Speedwagon Foundation got us covered on this situation. All the boats are going to be privately funded and all personnel are going to be checked before traveling with us. It's all going to be safe. All we need to worry about is not getting spotted while we land on other countries."

"This does seem like a good idea, as long as we know where we're heading. There's no need to worry about this plan." Avdol says, seamingly pleased with the plan.

"I havent been to any of these places on our new route to Egypt. So i'll just leave it up for you two." Kakyoin says with a skeptic tone.

"Same." Jotaro concludes, agreeing with Kakyoin.

Before Joseph could say any further comments, a tall, white haired man with a weird hairstyle comes over to your table.

"Excuse me, do you have a moment? I'm a tourist from France, and i'm having a hard time reading the Kanji from the menu. Could you please help a guy out here?"

Have we tested out Karma Chameleon on living things yet?
Like, if we transfer marble or whatever to something, does it lose the ability to move? Would turning a living thing into cloth instakill it?
>>

Thanks for running Dust! See you next time!
>>
>>2046419
Yeah, thanks.
>>
>>2046430
The first thing you tested Karma's absorbtion ability on was on your own body, so it's not a stretch that the opposite effect could work on living beings
>>
>>2046430
I'm not sure that it'd kill someone. I reckon it'd be more like suspended animation. A cloth has no biological processes.

If you turn someone to stone, they'd just be a statue until turned back, at which point they should be fine.

At least, this is what i believe.

Would be cool if you were right--we could turn our allies to cloth, sneak someplace, then unfold them. No turtle required, tho of course we'd have to be very very careful.

You know, we ought to see if we can turn only PART of something into a different material. Steel skin, or a steel hand to catch an attack in...
