We hold Moccha as we move to the side and cry out to our succubus and order them to use their lightning blast against the dragon.

This time, without hitting anyone else.

As we cast a 5th sphere [Heal] spell on Moccha, three arcs of purple lightning fly over our heads and blast the [Dragon] once more.

"Ah, I'm alright now, Master." - says Moccha

Crema moves in to intercept the dragon, but their levels are not the same, so she's having quite a hard time while taking wounds from it. Well, we just needed a few moments, anyway.

Now that Moccha is safe, we charge at the forefront again and take the [Dragon] down.

Hn. It didn't drop a [Dragon Horn] either, but it did drop 3 folds of [Fine][Dragon Leather]

"Aaah..." - Sykia falls down unto her ass and lets out a big sigh

The girl's lightning is normally blue-ish, so why was it purple when forced on command? Yeah yeah obviously its because it was forced, but more than that, why was it dyed in that color?

"Well, what do you think? Can you do it on your own from now on?" - we ask Sykia while healing Crema this time
"I think so. I got a feel for it. I still don't approve of 'magic' though."

After a short while and fice more fights, we finally get to the boss room.

We don't really need to fight it. We came to farm for three [Dragon Horns], so...

After making sure everyone is fully healed, we discuss about the boss fight and make sure they prioritize defense over attack.

We can take the boss down solo, really, so its more about giving them experience with the fight (both in terms of exp points and in fighting experience, really)

Ah, but the boss may spawn helpers, though it sounds unlikely considering its meant to be a dragon boss and thus a good fight on its own...

Well, if it does, the same plan still applies. Keep themselves safe first. Even if they 'die' they only get k'ed for 24 hours anyway, and even that may be a good experience, in a very real sense.

"Alright, let's go!"

The boss room is round and ample, with numerous platforms moving at about a single meter height, passing over each other in a clockwise and counter-clockwise direction. The floor is normal-seeming stone, though, so I don't really get why until a platform approaches and we have to either jump on top of it, or dodge under it until it passes over.

The platforms have sharp edges, so if you don't want to get hurt, you have to climb or dodge. If you climb, you get moved away, thus splitting your party, but if you dodge and wait, you're basically useless until it moves away.

Well, hopefully you would also be out of sight though so I guess its not that bad, It basically removes you from the fight for a while.

The boss is a green crystal dragon, with a nearly transluscent body.

As soon as it sees us, it stands up on its hindlegs and blasts us with a cone of gem shards...

Eh? there's no intro? We went right into the fight!

The dragon is standing on a large platform at the middle, so if you dodge under the platforms, you should be out of its sight, but also unable to target it.

While we were thinking it may be a safe area, a large round blade is suddenly shot out from a wall and after bouncing against the wall on the opposite end of the room, dissapears back into the hole.

Alright, so if you dodge under, there's a chance you'll get sliced at any time...

Of course, this means we're all on top of the platforms, and are being separated, albeit slowly.

Let's charge at the boss to keep it focused on us...

Well, we are about 600 levels over it, so there was never any doubt about who would win.

And that's why, right now we're having a break and a snack right in the middle of the now quiet boss room.

Well, the platforms are still moving, but since the boss won't respawn until we move on, it's a good spot for a break.

Lets pat Moccha and tell her what a good pet she is. Hn, she really likes that, uh? It looks like her horns aren't sensitive the way the succubus are, though.

As for drop items, we got a [Gem Dragon] card, a [Fine][Gem Dragon Shield] and about 12 rolls of [Fine][Dragon Leather]

Well, the shield is obviously not a bad item, but its not better than our stuff, and none of the pets can use it, so let's sell it when we go back up.

The leather is obviously a craft item, but its also under the quality level where it would be useful to us, so that too has to be sold.

Which leaves the [Gem Dragon] card.

[Accessory] or [Weapon] slot card.

If installed in accessories, the wearer gains [Immunity] to earth elemental damage.

If installed in weapons, it converts all damage dealt into [Earth] type elemental damage, which means it targets magic resistance instead of armor or physical damage resistance. In short, it makes your physical attacks and skills count as spells.

Hmm... I guess we'll keep it. I wonder what the effect would be if we added a [Kobold] card to it?

Well, rather than a hug, we have her sit on our lap with her back against us so we can gently hug her from behind.

Uhn... what would happen if she was to evolve even further, then? The succubus matron in New Hope is a Hecate, and according to her, the previous elder was a Lilith, that is meant to be the final evolved form for a succubus.

"I'm hoping the answer will be both." - we say without stopping
"Ah... I don't really mind, but... you know I prefer girls, right?" - indeed, she isn't moving to stop our hands or try to escape, but her body doesn't really shows any arousal, either.

I want to get to know the Succubus Matriarch better.
First, because I’m interested in how she feels changing from a Monster to a Civilized Race, what changes it will make to their abilities and racial specials, and what they want or need to adapt and thrive as citizens of the Northern Coalition.

Going down means we need to go through the floor boss again, but as we know what to expect, and have a simple straightforward fight with it.

We don't get a card this time, though. We do get a [Fine][Green Dragon Spike], which is a monster weapon.

Well, I guess a [Fine] ... four slot weapon is better than none for now, but since these are earth dragons, doing [Earth] damage to them wouldn't be really efficient, right?

Well, let's keep it for some other time.

Once we go down to the 121th level, we have to go through 5 more dragons before getting a [Fine][Dragon Horn]. so this looks pretty promising.

We also get almost a dozen more dragon leather rolls, and another monster weapon, this one with 2 slots only.

I guess you can't expect a normal mob to drop the same quality items as the boss, after all.

And it looks like Sykia has reached level 48, which is a long way from the level 8 she was when we came down here. Perhaps we should consider if we want her to evolve or not once the conditions are met for it.

Same with all our other pets, really.

Either way, we need to go through another 10 dragons before getting the final [Fine][Dragon Horn] we needed, which means that in total we got:

Going back to the adventurer's guild, we take the chance to sell the dragon meat... yeah there's no way we're eating that.

Well, we send most of our pets back to our [Menagerie]. Its rather obvious that having 5 high level monsters walking around inside a building is rather bad manners. We can probably get away with one, since we're technically a hunter, though.

Well, adventurers aren't going to give things for free, so we ask around coin bag in hand, and get some suggestions about collecting [Wind Essence]

Once we reach a large enough open space (thankfully theres a plaza with an empty center stage), we summon Radiant and ride off towards the north...

...that was the idea, but we are quickly followed by fast rockitships from the army.

Well, Eopolis is the largest city in the continent, and its where the shipyards are at and, knowing our uncle, I guess it makes sense that he would sell patrol boats to the army.

Its a good idea, no doubt about it. Flying monsters -are- a threat to any settlement in this world, after all.

yes, the thing is, for some reason thursday is hospital day, as in, all doctors seem to ... you know what, im not gonna sugar coat it.

Over here, doctors have two jobs. They typically have their real job and also do public work at the public hospital, so they can get two salaries. And since all of them do it, it sort of became -normal- and since it would suck to see a patient and try to send him to another doctor that is not there, they sort of agreed on "we work on thursdays" so yeah, thursdays is hospital day.

Had to go in about the oftalmologist, and then about the traumatologist. Im gonna get surgery on the 22nd... which amazingly enough is wednesday.

Anyway yeah, assume thursdays im probably stuck on a huge waiting line
