You are Prince Ōzo Samadhi of the Isle of Kōzoku. You are the third son of King Tenno Samadhi, younger brother to Prince Oji and Prince Kō, older brother to Princess Kogo. As a gift from your father, you were given a mysterious orange crystal ball, with five red stars on it. You have been trained in martial arts from a young age, and have become quite the skilled martial artist.

It is currently early september, in Age 749. At the age of 16, you have left your island home to travel on the mainland continent alone, seeking to increase your skills and live off the land, making yourself a better man. For the past several months, you have travelled across the continent meeting all sorts of new people, as well as training and learning new techniques and styles.

After setting out on a journey with Son Goku, Bulma, Oolong to find the seven Dragon Balls, you ran into and then joined up with the Desert Bandit Yamcha and his shapeshifter companion Puar. After a long trek through the desert, your adventure lead you to the castle of Emperor Pilaf, where you defeated him and his lackeys to use the Dragon Balls, although Oolong stole your wish from you.

After Son Goku transformed into a monstrous ape, you unleashed a new level of power you’ve never experienced before, destroying Goku’s tail and transforming him back into a boy, before passing out next to him. Upon waking up, you and your friends parted ways, with Yamcha, Oolong and Bulma leaving to Bulma’s city together, Goku leaving to train under Master Roshi, and you taking along Emperor Pilaf and his gang as royal retainers before leaving to track down the mysterious Crane School to train under.

Last time you and your retainers began travelling towards Fortuneteller Baba’s palace in the west, sure that she must know where the Crane School is located. On the way there, you were attacked by the mysterious mercenary Hasky. You managed to defeat and capture her, preparing to interrogate the woman.

You gaze at the woman lying in the backseat, bound and gagged. Although she seems peaceful now, you remember how vicious she seemed not too long ago as she was desperately trying to kill you and your retainers. Suddenly, her eyes snap open, and she attempts to yell angrily at you, it seems she's more than a little furious about her current situation.

"Uh-oh boss, it seems like she's wakin' up!" you hear Shu call to you, and you nod.

Slowly, once it seems the woman has calmed down a bit, you reach forward. "I'm going to ask you some questions, alright?" She glares, but she doesn't yell anymore, which is a good sign, you think. You pull the gag from her mouth and give a large grin. "Now! I am Prince O-"

Before you can finish your introduction, the woman snaps at you. "I know who you are! You already introduced yourself once, and I was hired to kidnap you specifically. How would I not know your name?"

You frown slightly. You don't like when people interrupt your introduction.

What do you want to ask the woman?

"Who hired you?"

She laughs in your face. This woman is very, very frustrating.

"I don't tend to give out information like that, otherwise I don't think many people would hire me. It's not good business practice. You're new to this whole thing, aren't you kid?"

You scowl even more at that. This woman looks like she's barely older than you at all! How dare she treat you this way. Just as you're about to object, Mai turns around from the front seat.

"Don't you dare talk about the Prince like that!"

You'd probably appreciate the gesture a lot more if Mai wasn't the one driving, luckily though, you manage to narrowly avoid crashing, although the woman continues laughing harder. You scowl and turn back towards her.

"In case you haven't noticed, I beat you fair and square! And I have you tied up! You'd better answer my questions, or else!"

Hasky only laughs again, but with a smirk she nods. "Sure kid, whatever. You're cute when you try to act intimidating. I didn't get a name but it was some fancy guy, dressed in royal robes. He had bright red hair, and a big bushy beard. He was sorta distinctive. Now, will you let me go?"

You force yourself to look what you assume is intimidating as you glare at your prisoner. She continues to smirk as she looks at you, infuriating you even more. Still, you don't let it show on your face as you make a broad, sweeping gesture with your arms, (ignoring the fact that you just hit Pilaf in the head,) "Fine! I shall have mercy upon you, so long as you promise not to pursue me any further!"

You expect more of a reaction from her. Perhaps some bowing or breaking into tears? Instead she simply leans forward and kisses your cheek, prompting you to blush heavily. "Fine, kid. Only 'cause you're cute and I'm not even getting paid enough for this job."

You try your best not to let any emotion show on your face as you have your retainers untie and free Hasky. She throws down a capsule, creating a new hoverbike, which she happily boards and starts to drive away from you. Blowing a kiss, she shouts back, "I'll see you again, Prince!" You force yourself not to look at her as she drives away.

As all of you start to travel again, you make good progress. You estimate you'll arrive at Fortuneteller Baba's Palace within a day or two at most. However, the ride gets much more difficult the later it gets, as your retainers constantly complain, all of them seemingly desperately wanting to sleep. Eventually, you cave.

Pulling over, you set up camp, and your retainers quickly stop to relax. You let out a sigh as you look over the campsite.

You frown, your retainers quickly drift off to sleep, but you're too anxious to sleep. Not to mention it's been quite a while since you trained. You wander off, leaving behind the campsite until you arrive at a secluded waterfall. The perfect place to train, at least for now. You spend some time meditating, gathering your ki, but your focus is constantly interrupted as your thoughts constantly go back to your failure to truly utilize the Kamehameha Wave. How was Goku able to learn it so simply while you couldn't?

It's not fair. It's ridiculous! You're a prince! He's just some strange little boy that can turn into a giant ape for some reason. You glare, focusing your eyes on the waterfall in front of you as you begin to gather your ki. Basing off of memory, you follow the motions, gathering ki into your hands and then bringing your hands together, charging a ball of ki in between your hands. Suddenly, you propel it forward. Unlike last time, the ki doesn't fizzle out. You let out a howling cheer as you see the mountain-face and waterfall completely decimated at your hands. You did it! You used the Kamehameha! You even did it pretty well, all things considered.

You spend the rest of the night continuing to practice the technique until you're able to reliably use it and get pretty solid results every time. While it's not always as destructive as your first successful attempt, you've more or less got the technique down.

You don't realize it's daylight until you hear a voice call out to you.

"U-uh, sire?"

You turn to see Mai and Shu standing off to the side, holding Pilaf. For some reason, Mai's face is completely red, although you're not sure why.

"What is it?" You ask, finding the top part of your robe and putting it back on.

Mai seems incapable of speaking properly, so Shu answers for her.

"It's daylight, your majesty. We should get a move on, shouldn't we? We don't want the Emp- I mean Pilaf to be stuck like this, do we?"

You nod, and the three of you return to your car, putting the campsite back into it's capsule and ensuring you have everything.

As you travel, you come to a crossroads, you've never really been out this far west before, which means other than landmarks that are known to pretty much everyone, such as Fortuneteller Baba's palace, you don't really know where you're going. Luckily, Shu speaks up.

"Oh! I know this, Sire. We have two options, really. One is to travel through the desert village. It's a longer path, but safer. The other option is through a valley populated entirely with bandits! Almost no one makes it through alive... Not to seem like a coward your majesty, but I think we should pick the first one."

Mai seems to agree, nodding emphatically, but you shoot the two of them a glare before pondering yourself.

I know it's probably a stupid idea, but as a prince on a journey we're meant to test ourself. Besides, the faster we can save our servant and find the Crane hermit to train with, the better.

You scoff at the cowardice of your retainers. "I am a prince! We need to test ourselves, and besides. The sooner we get all of this with Pilaf solved, the sooner we can find the Crane hermit."

Although Shu looks like he's about to say something, Mai quickly nods, "Of course sir, you're so right, sir!"

You grin as you drive towards the Bandit Valley. What bandits could be any match for you anyways?

After driving for a short period of time, you hear the sounds of a deep voice laughing. Ahead, you see a huge tiger-man, decked out in typical bandit armor. He's holding up a small girl, who is doing her best to struggle against his grasp, but seems too weak to save herself. The tiger is surrounded by a series of other animal-man lackeys, all of whom don't seem particularly reputable.

You quickly pull over, and step out of the car, despite the protestations of Shu and Mai.

"Stop right there!" you shout, drawing the attention of the bandits. The tiger, who was just about to shove the small girl into his mouth stops, glancing at you. "Who are you?" He asks, and you can't help but grin widely.

"I am Prince Ozo Samadhi of the Isle of Kōzoku, third son of King Tenno Samadhi, younger brother to Prince Oji and Prince Kō, and older brother to Princess Kogo. I defeated Yamcha the Desert Bandit in fair combat, I helped fan out the flames of Fire Mountain! I defeated a Great Ape, earned the loyalty of Emperor Pilaf, destroyed the Rabbit Mafia, and bested the great mercenary Hasky in personal combat!"

Your royal introduction is starting to get pretty long, you've noticed, to your pride and to your opponent's chagrin. Finally, after you've finished speaking, the tiger laughs.

"Well, a prince seems like he'd be mighty tasty. You'd best just walk away before I get hungrier."

He sets the girl down, which gives you just the opportunity you needed!

With a furious yell, you charge at the Tiger Thief, charging your fist with ki. The Tiger's eyes go wide as he sees your fist begin to burn with a passionate, raging fire.

"Burning Fist!"

Taking some inspiration from Yamcha, you unleash a series of faints and blows to knock the Tiger off guard, before finally knocking him completely back with a single, extremely powerful blow. The Tiger, is launched backwards, and seems barely aware of his surroundings. Finally, upon realizing he has been bested handily, he quickly recoils and runs away.

You frown. That was too easy. You wanted a tougher fight, but this Tiger was far too weak to pose any real threat. You turn to the small girl, who is simply staring up at you in awe.

"Whoa..." she says. She looks to be a few years younger than you, perhaps Goku's age? And her clothes seem to imply a more humble upbringing. She quickly stands, gathering herself, as you bow and prepare to leave.

"You're so strong! Sir, you must help us! My village is in danger! We're a humble people, but these two monsters have been terrorizing us..." You see her eyes well up with tears, which she forces back, trying to act strong for you. "I beg of you, I'll do whatever you want so long as you help us!"

You ponder. The spell which has Pilaf trapped as a carrot may have a time limit, but you can't just leave this girl and her village to suffer, can you?
