Lets Go!
>>
September 16th, 1988
It's the dawn of a new day, and to be frank, you've been feeling a bit uneasy ever since yesterday.

Usually at this point you and the group would have either get attacked by an enemy stand, or move out to wherever Joseph told you to.

Is having a peaceful day in this journey really that alien to you? You're dont know if that's a bad thing or not, but you might as well make the most out of it since you told yourself to rest for today aswell.

The others are most likely up by now, so you still have plenty to do for today?

So, what would it be?

>Hang out inside the inn.

>Go for a walk around the city.

>Actually, maybe training today wouldnt be a bad idea.

>Visit the hospital.

>>
>>2144015

As far as traveling goes, you really havent seen much of the actual cities you've visited so far, huh?

I mean, you have already been in Hong Kong, Singapore and India. What would you say to mom and dad to cover up the real reason you went to Egypt? 'I've gone to these places and ate some more food'? It would be kind of an empty commment...

It's time to finally go on and explore some of the places you're visiting.

You run up to your wardrobe and pick the sari Avdol gifted you and give some thought on how this would go.

>Take a walk by yourself.

>Check on the boys and see if they wanna come with you.
>>
>>2144031

Not wanting to risk your safety for the sake of some casual fun, you go over to your traveling partner's rooms to see if they're available for today.

Joseph is the first one you meet, who was having breakfast an indian delicacy made of coconut and rice, apparently called idli.

"A walk, huh? I cant say i have anything else to do for the day, and i'm also pretty interested in checking India out, so why not?" He says, agreeing to tag along with you.

You quickly meet Kakyoin and Jotaro having a talk a few moments after eating the idli with him?

"--Indian really food is probably the weirdest one out of all the ones i've tasted so far." Jotaro expresses his opinion.

"Really? I thought the idli tasted pretty good... I was worried we would taste nothing other than spicy food on our way to Egypt." Kakyoin says.

"Dont tell me you dont like spicy food, Kakyoin." Jotaro is disappointed to hear his classmate's food preferences.

After they notice you, they both greet you with a short "Good morning." followed by a short yawn of yours.

>Good morning, you two!

>Wanna go out?

>What's wrong with spicy food?

>Did Jotaro tell you on how i kicked his butt yesterday, Kakyoin?

"Good morning, you two!" You greet your two friends. "What's wrong with spicy food, Kakyoin?"

"Oh, so you were listening?" Kakyoin asks. "It's not that i dont like it, but when my parents took a trip to Egypt on their honeymoon, they complained about not having that much to eat on local restaurants."

"Maybe they just chose a bad place to stay." Jotaro argues. "Mother was a pretty good at cooking, so she usually surprised me during the weekends with some dishes from her recipe books: Koftas, shawernas, duqqas, there's a lot more to middle eastern cuisine aside from kebabs."

"I guess..." Kakyoin replies. "Still, even if the food was bad, i dont think it would have been enough to say that India was a bad place to visit or anything."

"It's definetly not a place everyone would like considering how crowded it is, but i can definetly see it's appeal." Jotaro concludes.

It's hard to have a solid opinion about India, given the recent events... But if you had to comment something about India would it be a positive one?

>I cant really be unbiased after what happened...

>It's tough to wear a sari in such a hot place, but aside from that, you can see yourself going back here again.

>Not gonna lie, it's kinda smelly here, it's definetly the most ugly looking place out of the ones you visited so far, too.

>I was planning on taking a walk with Joseph to have a better judgement on India, you guys wanna come along?

"I was actually planning on taking a walk with Joseph to have a better judgement on India, you guys wanna come along?" You offer to both Kaykoin and Jotaro.

They take a quick look at eachother and nod in agreement, showing interest in taking a look around Calcutta.

"That would ceirtanly be nice." Kakyoin smiles.

"I'll grab my coat." Jotaro says, going back to his room to search for his iconic black coat.

...

After everyone is ready to leave, you notice Jotaro catiously approaching you while Joseph is locking the door with Kakyoin.

"Hey Hitomi. I wanted to talk for a bit about what happened yesterday." Jotaro admits.

The word 'Yesterday' rings a bell to Jotaro's apparent bullet-time ability, aside from you catching rocks and talking about jobs, you figure that's what he wants to discuss.

"Alright then." You reply, knowing exactly what he's mentioning. "Did you get any clues on what exactly was that new ability of yours?"

"I haven't really been able to trigger it again, so it's hard to get a clue if i'm not able to repeat it." Jotaro explains. "What i've been thinking about is if we should inform the others on what exactly this is. The Old Man might be able to figure it out, but i dont really want to waste his time if that was just a one time occurance."

>It wouldnt hurt to tell the group about your ability.

>Maybe you should wait until you know how to activate that ability before speaking to Joseph. Dio might be watching, afterall.

While it may sound like a good idea to inform Mr. Joestar, Dio is always able to get a clue on how everyone's doing with his Hermit Purple. It might be smarter to keep it a secret between you and him, at least for now.

"Maybe you should wait until you know how to activate that ability before speaking to Joseph. Dio might be watching, afterall." You remind him.

"Yeah, maybe it's not really worth the risk..." Jotaro considers. "I really wish i was able to do that at will, though. It would be something useful to have. Good grief..."

Your discussion is quickly postponed when you hear the sound of Kakyoin and Joseph's footsteps.

"So, Jotaro. You said you've walked around these parts while looking for J.Geil, right?" Joseph asks.

"Yes. there's a marketplace not too far away from here, and going downhill would just leave us back to the riverside where we disembarked. We could always go to the outskirts of the city but--" Jotaro quickly interrupts himself.

Jotaro's body suddenly goes stiff, his expression going from relaxed to dead serious in the blink of an eye as he quickly summons Star Platinum to scout his current surroundings.

"Hey, Jotaro. What happened?" Joseph asks his grandson, which doesnt pay attention to him until making sure no one other stand user was around.

"N-nothing... False alarm. As i was saying, we could always go to the city's outskirts, but unless we follow the road, there's not much too look at other than a few sandy hills in the distance." He completes the rest of his sentence while trying to calm down.

The others look somewhat worried, wondering what that 'false alarm' was all about, but they ultimately decide to let it go since Jotaro dropped his agressive stance.

Jotaro waits for the others to answer his question in hopes of them ignoring his odd behaviour.

Not having a strong feeling about either place, you say that both the riverside and the marketplace sound good enough.

"I havent really bought anything for mom and dad yet." Kakyoin says. "Maybe the marketplace could have a nice souvenir for them!"

"Market it is then." Jotaro says, cautiously walking uphills while looking both ways.

Jotaro seems weary about something, but you're not really sure what it is...

"What was that all about?" Joseph scratches his beard.

"Whatever it was we better keep an eye out for it." You advise him and Kakyoin, following Jotaro towards the marketplace.

After around 5 minutes, you reach a huge crowd of people. The noise pollution proves to be annoying, since the shop owners seem to be in a shouting competition while the talking crowd never stops talking.

It proves to be a bit bothersome to keep up with your group with so many people bumping into eachother, but after a while you manage to reach the heart of the marketplace. There, you see many colored selling stands, with a variety of food, jewerly, toys alike.

There's also a small crowd cheering to a smaller man singing in the streets, next to a closed off stand with a big sign written 'fortune-telling' in it.

It's weird to find english text in a place like this, but alright...

Now that you're here, what seems to be more interesting for you to check it out?

Curious about what toys they sell on India, you go over to the toys stands to see what they're made of.

To your surprise, they dont really seem any different to the tolls they sell at japan, plushies, dolls, small cars, fake food and cooking sets...

They seem to be really cheaply made, though. They look to be made mostly out of ceramic and hard wood. They would most likely break by the smallest fall.

A small girl seem to be looking down after a shop owner shooed her off her stand. Joseph happily bought her a doll to make the kid feel better but.

"Change! Change! Change!" The nearby beggars start to pester him on giving them money.

"Oh no... Maybe that wasnt the brightest idea." Joseph frowns.

You quickly giggle at the situation while hearing sounds of coins falling on the ground, what could that be.

The small singer you saw before seems to have ended his play, making the crowd throw some money at him for a job well done.

He leaves shortly after grabbing his belongings, leaving a lot more space for the nearby customers to walk around.

The toys stands makes you remember the doll collections you had back home,if you were a few years younger, you would likely say how Charlotte is feeling lonely since she was the only one you've brought to Egypt, so it'd be nice to buy some company to your grandma's old doll...

Huh. Grandma Chiyoko was the one that made that doll for you, wasnt she? It's a silly thought, but you think that maybe it's a means to show how connected you two really are...

You look around the stand and find an adorable small doll wearing a red sari. How convenient! This one looks a lot like you too...

After buying the doll to soothe your inner child's urges, you look over to Kakyoin, who was checking the nearby food stand to drink some chai.

"Any thoughts on this place?" You ask for the Hierophant user's honest opinion, while also wanting to know if he's seen anything suspicious.

"It's pretty crowded, but there's a lot to do here." Kakyoin tells you. "I didnt see any stands so far, so i think we're in the clear for now."

Well, maybe it's just a coincidence afterall, there were plenty of different dolls there too.

Nontheless, the one stnad you've been looking forward to enter is the one about fortune telling, you were never able to tell your fortune with Avdol, so it might be a good learning experience if you try doing with somebody else.

After telling your friends where you would be going, you enter a more secluded stand, with a bearded man sitting in a matress across the floor.

"Money, please." He stretches his hand, waiting for you to pay the telling's price.

The dark cloths around the bearded man along with the enclosed space seems to give you an eerie vibe, but you're not really sure if that's just your intuition or not...

After shuffling a deck with his hands, the bearded man invites you to pick one of them.

Taking the top card, you curiously take a good look at the card.

It seems to be one of those tarot cards Avdol used to figure out Star Platinum's name. The card you picked shows an armoured skeleton riding on a white horse, holding a flag close to a bishop, an unconscious woman and two children.

At the bottom of the card, as small text appears to be written on it.

"XXIII: Death"

"Whoa!" You instinctively shout after picking up the card. Are you jinxed or something? Why did out of twenty-something cards, you just had to pick the one with death written in it?

"Calm down, young one." The bearded fortune teller tells you. Alright, maybe the recent stand encounters left you a bit paranoid about the concept of death... You might as well hear what the man has to say.

As the man explains, it turns out the Death card doesnt specifically symbolize a physical death, but death as an ending. That ending being of usually relationships, life goals or even points of view, therefore implying an increased sense of self-awareness along with the constant changes and transformations to a person's life and own sense of identiy.

That really does makes sense. In a way, you've been dying multiple times ever since you got stabbed by Dio's golden arrow according to the card. You've managed to gain a transforming stand, found a new life goal with the Joestar group and even started some amazing friendships, all of which managed to change your thought process into different perspectives, what with experimenting with different cultures and the like.

But that will soon come to an end when you reach Kairo, a Death, if you will. Will you manage to turn that ending a new beggining as well? It sure seems possible, anything would be better than an actual death...

After exiting out of the tent, you still feel a bit lost in thought after reading your own fortune, but that's soon interrupted by Joseph's energetic voice.

"Hey you're back! How did it go?"

>I'm not sure... I'm still trying to make sense of it.

>I didnt think fortune telling was real, but that conversation is making me think otherwise...

>Bleh, it's some pretentious guy talking and pretending he's deep, it sounds like a scam to me.

"I'm still trying to make sense of it, but it's actually kind of fun! You guys should try it ou too." You say optimistically to your group.

"Fortune telling was one of the first things i tried out with Avdol when we first met, actually. It's the reason i named my stand Hermit Purple." Joseph explains to you. "It's a card that implies guidance and solitude."

"I also got my fortune told by Avdol with Jotaro." Kakyoin informs. "The Hierophant is a card that implies comformity in groups and self realization, but it can also be interpreted as being restricted and challenging the norms."

"My card symbolizes hope and inspiration, but i'm not sure if it's just a coincidence or not..." Jotaro admits.

It seems Avdol really knew what he was doing when he used his fortune telling skills on your friends. The descriptions fit their personality to a T, be it Joseph guiding your path to Dio, Kakyoin breaking his shyness to find new friends in this journey, and Jotaro's Star Platinum being an icon of hope to defeating the vampire.

It's almost as if they were destined to get those cards, similarly to the Joestar family being tied by destiny with Dio.

Come to think of it, all of the stand users you've faced so far were named after tarot cards, werent they? That's pretty interesting, you wonder what their cards meant...

Is there already a stand user who represents the Death tarot card? If so, you'd like to see how he fares against your own fate.

Regardless of their previous fortune telling with Avdol, the group agrees to try it out with the bearded man, only to get the exact same results, cementing your belief that Avdol really was right.

After some more time hanging around the marketplace, your group notices the sun starting to set, which makes you consider what to do next...

>Go home.

You ultimately decide to stay with the group, it's too early to go home, and you're gonna visit Polnareff and Avdol tomorrow anyways, so you might as well stick by with the rest of the group.

This decision proves to be a great one. Since Joseph managed to find a restaurant close by, you were able to have an amazing feast for dinner.

You even managed to eat some of that kofta food Jotaro mentioned earlier, which is a meatloaf made out of chicken meat served with gravy and curry. Pretty good, but you still prefer idli...

After watching some old movie reruns while you ate, you went back to your inn tired and sleepy, but overall satisfied.

You dont know exactly what you've made to recieve friends like these so easily, it almost makes you forget about your stressful situation...

Still, events like these only managed to solidify your friendship and loyalty to the Joestar group, so you hope there's more of these to come.

Before you went to your bed, you hear a quiet knock on your room's door.

Weird, usually you're the last one to go to sleep, who could it be?

took a trip there once and went all over. Food's great, but chances are you'll get food poisoning. There are a whole heap of other issues too, but i won't go into them. and this is from someone that eats that kind of food all the damn time.If you stick around the nicer parts and avoid the rural areas, its alright though.

You open the door to see Jotaro Kujo, standing outside of the door.

"Hey, sorry if im interupting anything." Jotaro is quick to apologize for interrupting your sleep.

"It's ok, i wasnt asleep yet." You admit to him.

"I just wanted to give you an update on my 'ability'" He says, getting straight down to business. "It's been activating pretty randomly throughout the day, but i wasnt able to say anything due to the other being nearby."

Now it makes sense...Jotaro did appear to be pretty jumpy on a few occasions, but after someone pointed out that he was startled, he always tried brushing it off.

"But now that i've experienced it a few times, i'm pretty sure what that ability is. There's no doubt about it, Star Platinum can definetly freeze time."

..Freeze...time?

"How did you figure it out?" You ask the black coated teenager.

"I wasnt sure of what was going on the first fews times... it was somewhat different from when we were sparring. I wasnt able to move, but i saw everything standing still several times, almost as if i was paralyzed." Jotaro explains. "I've managed to move a few inches, but only when the time stop was almost over, it lasted around 3 to 5 seconds, although it's somewhat inconsistent."

"So that's what happened... but are you able to control it now?" you ask again to Jotaro.

"No. Honestly, i dont even know if this timestop is activating randomly or if something specific triggers Star Platinum to do it in self defense, but i'm barely able to do anything before it ends. I'd try to practice it out more, but i dont even get a heads up before it happens." He admits.

It's good to know he figured out what his ability, time stop is a pretty broken ability to have, and you were wondering what was Jotaro's power aside from being a fast, strong and precise punching ghost, but if he cant even use it at will, it's gonna be hard to master the ability, and it doesnt look like something you can help him with...

"I think i can take care of it on my own though. I just thought it'd be nice to inform you." He says, going back to his room before stopping with his back turned to his own room.

"Thanks for today, i've had a lot of fun." He gives you one last look before going to sleep aswell.

Good grief... It's going to be hard to sleep after Jotaro enticed your curiosity like that, how is he going to 'take care' of that ability...?

Well, at least he appears to be growing fond of you. It took some time, but Jotaro's finally opening up more often, even showing some more emotions during your downtime.

You wonder if his tough looking attitude is just a front, or if you're not the only one improving emotionally throughout the journey...

>To be continued...

September 17th, 1988

After waking up and having your breakfast, you and your friends wait for Joseph to check out at the inn so you can head to the hospital.

It's finally time for you to leave Calcutta. Joseph decided to get on a bus to leave this city to go to Varanasi, so the group can move out of the country.

The bus will arive in about an hour and a half, perfect timing for you and the others to help Polnareff out of the hospital while visiting Avdol one last time before departing.

"How long will the bus ride be again?" Kakyoin asks to his black coated classmate.

"12 hours. The SpeedWagon Foundation should already have arrived with Iggy by then." Jotaro fills him in.

"At least it'll be over in a day... That reminds me, we've yet to inform Polnareff about Iggy coming along" Kakyoin points out.

"Judging by what the old man said, i doubt they'll get along." Jotaro sighs.

A few minutes later, Joseph appears out of the house carrying three suitcases. After handing them out to the group, you walk along with them towards the hospital Pol and Avdol were.

...

"Phew, finally. And we still have 1 hour to go, too" Joseph is relieved to say after approaching the hospital.

"Polnareff isnt really the patient type, so let's hope he hasnt caused a scene waiting for us to arrive." Jotaro says, opening the main entrance's door.

>Visit Polnareff.

>Visit Avdol.

>Wait outside for the bus to arrive.

Tagging along with Jotaro, you follow him and the others to the frenchman's room. After Joseph reminding himself of which room Polnareff was by talking to the man over the counter, the group make their way up some stairs walk along the hallways until reaching room 209.

Opening the door, you see Polnareff in his bed, snoring loudly while a nurse takes the bandages off his kneecap.

"For a second there i could swear he'd be complaining about us not arriving sooner..." Joseph admits.

"Hey, Polnareff! We're here." Kakyoin says out loud, trying to wake the sleepyhead up.

"Polnareff?" You say a bit more loudly, trying to help Kakyoin as well.

Growing impatient, Jotaro summons Star Platinum to close his nostrils with it's hands. After a brief period without oxygen, Polnareff wakes up gasping for air.

"Hey! What was that for?" The Chariot users says, standing up from his bed.

"We're moving out of Calcutta, so we had to wake you up." Jotaro says, making his stand disappear behind him.

"Couldnt you be more gentle? What kind of fool do you take me for? They havent either taken my bandages off--" Polnareff says, moving his leg in a weird fashion, only to realize his kneecap was already healed, something which earned a frown from him.

Seeing Polnareff's reaction to his already fixed leg, along with the way Jotaro woke him instinctively make you giggle. What a way to start a morning.

Joseph and Kakyoin are also holding their laughter in, or at least were until you started laughing, which inevitably caused a chuckling chain rection.

"Come on...It wasnt that funny, was it?" Polnareff whines, mildly upset at being on the recieveing end of the joke.

Alright, maybe that wasnt a nice way to greet a friend you havent seen in days, so lets try that again.

You approach Polnareff and give him a warm 'welcome back' hug while trying not to laugh, to which he responds with a short laughter after hugghing you as well.

"Alright, alright. It was KINDA funny... Good to see you too, kid!" Polnareff smiles, tapping you on the shoulder. "So, where are we going to now?"

"Varanasi, we still have some time before the bus arrives, though." Joseph speaks up. "Say, do you have any experience with dogs, Polnareff?"

"Dogs? Not really, i'm more of a cat person. Why?" Polnareff confusely asks, not sure what that has to do with anything.

"Nothing, nothing." Joseph reassures him. "I'll explain to you in a minute."

"Can we go visit Avdol while we're here? I would like to say goodbye to him..." You point out to the rest of the group, which sours some of the mood after remembering how Avdol is.

"...Sure, Avdol's room is downstairs if i'm not mistaken." Polnareff lowers his voice. I've visited him a few times, it sucked wsalking around with those crutches, but the guy deserves some company."

After climbing down the stairs reaching his room, you're greeted by Avdol's uncounscious state. the sight of him asleep in his bed, next to a few machines makes you mildly uncomfortable, but oddly pleased to know that he'll eventually make a full recovery.

Is there anything you would like to say to him.

As reassuring as it is to see he'll be safe here, it still pains you to know he most likely wont be with you for the rest of the journey, and the sight of him getting shot through the heart by Emperor is still very fresh in your mind...

"I'm sorry, Avdol... Dio will pay for doing this, i promise." You lament, approaching the egyptian man.

The remaining crusaders are visibly stricken with grief after seeing their partner in his bed, but after your last statement, a small linger of determination shines trhough their sadness.

"You bet he will..." Polnareff says. "Avdol wouldnt want us to be sad over him, so if Dio thinks that will weaken our motivation, he's in for a big surprise."

"Dio..." Jotaro growls, closing his fists in anger.

You just cant believe how strong their resolve is... Even after all this fighting and almost losing their friends, they only keep getting stronger under the pressure... That's something you wish you could manage, maybe you could speak to them later about that...

"Hitomi's Hamon probably did wonders for him, too. I still think the doctors gave a wrong diagnosis on Avdol since they dont know a lot about Hamon..." Joseph calmly says. "I'd give him one or two weeks before he wakes up. Maybe three at most."

"R-really?" You're surprised to hear that coming from Joseph, did you really make that much of a difference on his condition? Sure, he probably wouldnt even be here if it werent for you, but knowing that he'll make a faster recover than what you expected makes you feel a lot better than what you expected to be after visiting him...

...

Not too long after saying goodbye to your comatosed ally, the board bus to Varanasi comes around, 12 hours sounds like a lot of time to spent just sitting down on a bus, but luckily you decided to have some company by sitting next to.

You sit down next to Polnareff and Jotaro, since it's been a while since you've talked to the former, and the latter has recently grown fond of you.

"Really? The Fool?" Polnareff asks to Jotaro shortly after you sit.

"Yeah, apparently the mutt has a really bad attitude too." Jotaro completes the rest of his story. "I dont have a strong feeling about having him in the group either, but i'll be fine as long as he doesnt annoy me."

"That makes two of us! I dont want to be distracted by an annoying dog, especially on a mission like this." Polnareff agrees.

"Maybe I can befriend Iggy!" You optimistically say to Jotaro and Polnareff "I always liked playing with animals when i was a kid, having a new puppy would be nice."

You remenber all the times you went to your relatives house and mostly played around with their pets, they all took a liking and you never really had a problem with them before, what's one more dog to befriend compared to all the ones that liked you before?

"Well, it wouldnt be the toughest thing you've managed to do in this journey, now that I think about it." Polnareff ponders.

"Just make sure you have a few packs of coffee flavoured gum with you in case things dont turn out that well." Jotaro reminds you. "It's the only way the Speedwagon Foundation members managed to carry him on their truck."

Well, no point in making assumptions here... Guess you'll just have to wait until you arrive in Varanasi to deal with Iggy.

The trip is fairly uneventful, with Jotaro sharing some newspapers to keep you busy through Polnareff's off-key singing. Maybe he should stick to humming instead of singing...

Eventually, you and the group reach Varanasi at around 10 PM. The moment you get out of the bus, Joseph points at a yellow truck with the words "Speedwagon Foundation" written on it.

Getting out of the driver's seat, a relaxed, brown haired man around his late 20's greets Joseph.

"Hey there. Iggy's over there in the cargo, we couldnt keep him in our seats or else he would start a tantrum." He says.

"No problem, be sure to rent a car for us by tomorrow, alright?" Joseph advises.

"Actually, we already had a car ready for when you all arrived. It's out of gas though, you'll have to wait for a while until it comes back."

"Nice!" Joseph smiles. "Well, we might as well take a look at Iggy then."

The man calls over his coworker inside the truck, prompting them to move over towards the back of the truck.

"Woof,Woof!" You hear a low pitched bark come out of the insides of the truck.

>Stay back, he might be angry in there.

>Try to take a good look at Iggy.

>Call out your stand.

You cautiosly decide to stay where you are, judging by the loud barking coming from the truck, he probably isnt to pleased of being locked on that compartment for so long, so you might as well look out.

"What's the hold up for?" Polnareff moves closer, trying to look why it's taking so long for them to open the cargo compartment. "Do you need any help with that?"

"Polnareff, I dont think you should stand so close to--" Kakyoin tries to warn him, but it's too late.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IN9jcy63Tnk

"WOOF! WOOF!" Iggy jumps out of the truck straight toward Polnareff's face.

"Whoa!" Polnareff has little time to react before the angry dog starts barking at his face while chomping away at his hair. "Get him off me! Get him off!"

"Here, Iggy-Iggy!" You whistle to the dog, to see if you can get a reaction out of him.

Moving his head over to you, the dog stops yanking Polnareff's hair and jumps to the ground, moving over to you while audibly growling.

Judging by his size, he appears to be a young Boston Terrier, he cant be older than a year...

"Thank God..." Polnareff says, trying to feel out his hair.

"The dog seems angry, but at least he's willing to listen." Jotaro points out.

"Weird, he usually only hears us when we give him gum." The Speedwagon Foundation worker says.

Judging by his growls and the way he's looking at your hair, it doesnt seem that will last for long...

I kind of want to say hamon... maybe. If we could, would be fun practice. Might just make it melt faster though. Just have to concentrate on keeping energy in a bubble around it and absorb energy from the air and the cube, this thus making the surroundings cooler? I want to say? Like a sink designed to pull in heat.

Maybe karma can hold on to bring ice instead of melting? I don't know...

Seems so. Managed to get through this just barely even without [UNDER PRESSURE] because of that.

Hamon can alter certain physical properties of an object, usually to make it harder or tougher. However, I don't think that there's a lot of information on whether Hamon can alter melting points or elasticity. Might be something worth experimenting with.

At its basis, you're saying to use energy to drain energy in a small area and then firing that energy outward?
So, suppose you concentrated that energy in one direction. Might be the start of something.

"Do you have his chewing gum around?" You stoicly ask, trying not to show fear in front of the angry dog.

"Yeah, right here." He hands you over a small package of coffee flavored gum.

"Woof! Woof!" Iggy keeps jumping up and down, trying to catch it from your hands."

"Alright, alright. Take it!" You throw a few wrapped sticks of gum to the ground, to which he runs over to.

The Boston Terrier impatiently unwraps the gum and happily chews at it similarly to how he was doing with Polnareff's hair.

Phew! For a moment you thought he would ravage your current hairstyle, but it seems he's finally distracted, this might be a good time to interact with him.

"Come here, Iggy." You call for the Boston Terrier while approaching your hand to him, only to feel an awful smell coming from him.

"Good grief..." Jotaro covers his nose after noticing what Iggy did.

"Sorry, I forgot to tell you. He has a tendency to fart after chewing on people's hair, thankfully he didnt do it in anyone's face like he usually likes doing." Joseph uncomfortably scratches the back of his head.

"Man, what a dirty mutt!" Polnareff complains. "He better learn some manners if he's to travel with us."

"At least that should keep him busy for a while, right?" Kakyoin asks the truck driver.

"Yup, keep giving it sparingly and he'll be good. We'll give you some more packages after we come back with the car. I suggest you guys to wait on that small park down the road." The driver points to a populated area a few meters away. "It's better than waiting on an empty bus stop, and the truck doesnt have space for all of you guys, even on the cargo comparment."

"Alright then. It'll probably be good to walk around, i need some stretching after staying in a chair for 12 hours." Polnareff says, stretching his legs.

Shrugging, you decide to follow them along to the park while carrying the gum package so Iggy follows you around.

After arriving there, you notice about a dozen people are still there, some of them are chatting, some of them are walking around, and a young couple are talking while sitting down near a tree.

You keep an eye out for any suspicious activities, hoping you dont find any stand users.

After noticing your group standing there, the young couple slowly approach you.

"I'm sorry, could you please help us out here?" The blonde woman says in perfect english. "My boyfriend and i are trying to take a look at the time on his watch, but we have really bad eyesight, and we left our glasses back at the hotel.

Now that you have a better look at them, you notice that they look too american to be Indians... Are they tourists?

"Ah, good to see some fellow americans here." Joseph greets them, getting closer to the man as he stretches out his wrist, showing his silver colored watch.

You havent seen a glimpse of an enemy stand yet, but the vibe you're getting from these two feels slightly off...

>Let him take a look at the watch.

>Warn him that they might be a stand user.

>Take a look at it yourself, just in case.

Also, I'm amazed we haven't been having our stand pose somewhere when it's made of gold/marble and asking suspicious people what they think of "that statue"

You're not exactly sure if they're stand users or not, but better safe than sorry.

You call out for Kama Chameleon and place her still a few meters behind them, in an attempt to trick them.

"Hold on." You call out for the group, stopping Joseph from looking at the man's watch. "Was that statue always there?"

The couple turns around to check after you point behind them.

"Hitomi, why are you summ--" Polnareff says, only for Jotaro to cover his mouth, knowing very well what you plan on doing.

"Hmm..." The girl squints her eyes. "Now that i think about it, that statue wasnt really there before, was it Billy?"

"I cant quite see it well from here either, but maybe we just havent noticed it before." The man named Billy replies.

"Actually, you two have some pretty good eyes if you can manage to see stands without your glasses." You give them a smug smile.

The young couple stand still, realizing they've been tricked.

"Huh, you got me. I told you that plan wasnt gonna work well, Tempest." Billy says, chuckling.

"Well, we still have plan B if you wanna try it out." The woman shrugs.

"Plan B it is." The young man turns around, summoning a Megaphone in his right hand.

Whatever these two are planning, you wont allow it!

"Jotaro! Kakyoin!" You shout out for your friends to take care of them.

Star Platinum quickly punches the megaphone away from Billy's hand, making him yelp in terror as his stand drops to the ground.

Following after Jotaro's move, Hierophant Green uncoils his body and wraps itself around the couple, restricting them of their movement.

"Really?" Tempest shouts to her boyfriend. "You couldnt do something as simple as yelling in your megaphone?"

"The guy was too fast for me! Dio didnt give us any heads up before sending us out, how could I have known that?" Billy explains himself.

"I'd hate to interrupt the moment, but don't you think you have something else to worry about?" Jotaro says, scaring them by showing Star Platinum's fists.

"H-hey! No need to get violent here..." Billy stutters.

"We were just in it for the money! We dont have nothing personal against you guys, we swear!" Tempest tries to reason with the group. "Cant we just talk this out instead."

After what they did to Avdol? No chance...

"Nice try, but we aint falling for this one a second time. Jotaro, take care of them!" You dismiss the couple by telling Jotaro to knock them out.

"ORA! ORA!" You see Star Platinum swiftly doing a knifehand strike to the side of their heads, making them faint in an instant.

"Well, that was fairly easy compared to what we had to go through before..." Polnareff says.

"Do you think they might have any flesh buds in them?" You ask Jotaro.

"Let me check..." Jotaro moves closer to the couple to check their foreheads. "No. Doesnt look like they have any, these two are probably just some dumb kids who got lured in by Dio's charisma."

"How much money does he even have to keep hiring all these people?" Joseph asks himself.

...

After about half an hour later, the Speedwagon Foundation driver arrives with the car he said he would bring.

"Already? That was fast." Kakyoin comments, noticing the guy coming over.

"Should we leave these two out on the side of the street though?" Joseph asks the group. "Maybe it's just me, but I kinda feel like they might try to get back at us when they wake up."

>I doubt it, let's just leave them there.

>You're right.

>Ask if the Foundation can take care of them.

>Write-in
>>
>>2155552
>You're right.
They're stand users, the foundation doesn't really have any. The foundation would be defenseless against them starting shit.
We have to handle it.

We'll take them aside. Heirophant Green should inhabit one of them to prevent them from doing anything. The other could be bound by Hermit Purple and watched by Jotaro with his stand out.
Then we start more thorough interrogations. Get information on their stands, and anything else they might know that's relevant to dio and his minions. This'll be much safer than the setup we had before.

"Hold on, i'd like to test something on them first." You warn the others before they get inside their car.

You grab Billy's arm with Karma Chameleon's pink jewels and try to push the marble inside his body.

Surely enough, his arm turns completely into marble. You've never really tried to use this ability on a human being before,so you're a bit skeptical if changing their body properties like that will kill them off.

Fortunately, Karma can negate this damage by absorbing the material back to her own body, turning his hand back to normal.

For a moment, you consider the effects of petrifying them. Sure, you can revert the damage, but if they're fully turned into marble, chances are you'll just end up killing them by ceasing all their life signs at once. Additionaly, his arm was transformed for around 3 seconds, you're not sure if doing that for a longer amount of time would do any permanent damage or not.

That's a bit dark... And as far as you've seen it, they havent really done anything to deserve such a horrible death, maybe you should test that on someone who's actively malicious...

>Leave them be.

Call me stupid but this seems so easy that I can't help but imagine that these two stand users are decoys. Either that or they seriously depended on seeing either the time on a clock or a reflective surface in order to get the drop on you and are complete idiots. Wasting time on them may be just what Dio wants us to do, so that we don't notice a tiny third stand getting ready to strike.
>>
>>2155812

Grabbing a hold of the young girl's hands and petrify her limbs. You're going to try to interrogate her.

"Are you sure?" Jotaro raises an eyebrow.

"Sealing her in place should prevent any casualties, right?" You reply to Jotaro. "This girl doesnt seem particualrly tough either, so i think things might go well this time around."

You shake Tempest up with your hands, causing her to slowly but surely open her eyes.

"What?" Tempest takes some moments to look around and realize her condition, either due to confusion or due to her actually having bad eyesight. "Why am i stuck here? Let me go!" She writhes around, trying to break free to no avail.

"Dont struggle. If you shatter your limbs, I wont be able to fix it." You advise to Tempest. "Work with me and you'll both come out fine."

Her eyes go wide open in shock after hearing the first part of the phrase, but after you finish your sentence, she complies and stays still.

"Al-Alright, what do you want to know?" Tempest closes her eyes, afraid of the consequences.

"What did you plan on doing with your stand?" You ask her.

"I have the ability to turn anything that tells the time into a timer. If anyone takes a look at the time when I want them to, I can activate my stand, Final Countdown."

Final Countdown?

"Basically, the timer gives the person 5 minutes left to live, unless I deactivate the timer, Final Countdown will make their brain stop functioning after the counter reaches zero."

Useful, but isnt 5 minutes a bit too long though.

"I thought the same thing. but that's where Billy's stand Rebel Yell comes into play. His megaphone can distort people's senses when he yells in it, giving us enough time for me to escape. We thought that plan would work, but we didnt think you guys would already be this prepared..."

"Are you working with anyone else? Are there more stand users in the area?" Is another question that comes to your mind.

"Right here? No, although Enya said she'd still be hanging around in Pakistan..." Tempest thinks out loud.

>Who's Enya?

"Wait, who's Enya?" You ask Tempest.

"The old hag who gave us our stands." She says with an annoyed tone. "We got robbed when we were visiting Pakistan, so she gave us a ton of money for us to go here and take care of you guys with the stands she gave us. We didnt really want to do it, but she said she'd user he stand on us if we didnt, so we didnt have much of a choice."

"So you two werent born with your stands?"

"No. She scratched us with a weird arrow that made us have these weird abilities. I only know about Dio because she went on a rant about how Dio didnt even want to have any other stand users fighting you guys, and how troublesome it'd be to send the arrow back to him, but she did it anyways." Tempest explains.

This is definetly useful information, maybe this wasnt a such a bad idea afterall.

"Can you let me go now? I promise me and Billy wont try to hurt you anymore. We just want to go back home..." She whines, looking at her petrified limbs.

You look back to your group's approval. Jotaro is currently looking at Joseph's watch to check if what she's saying is true.

"Doesnt seem like she is lying." Jotaro takes one last look at Tempest. "I belive her."

It's a little weird to see Jotaro believe a stranger so easily, but if he says so...

Knock out Rebel Yell's user and ask jotaro to repeat what he said

>I still dont trust you guys.
We need to determine if we've been affected by either stand. One could make us hear and see our friends telling us to let them go. The other could be lying about her ability, and one might also be affected... so many variables. Can we right something in the dirt along the lines of "palm on back for let go, fist on back for not trust" with our stand where they can't possibly see or something?
>>
>>2156573
Or maybe this>>2156568
My approach might be too agressive and worry the group
>>
>>2156573
Billy was already knocked out by Star Plat, though.
The megaphone is still on the ground, so there's no way he's using it either.

I hate to keep changing my mind, but this situation could go so many ways. Maybe this is a good idea mixed with my first idea>>2156573
>>
>>2156573
>>2156582
Knocking them out shouldn't be so bad. Unless he forces us to see one of our friends as him and we're attacking our friends. Trying to get a message to one of them also sounds good.
>>
>>2156593
It could be his stand affecting our perception of things though. He might still be awake and is just making us see him as knocked out
>>
this isn't shadowrun, guys
don't overthink it
billy got wrecked (from high rolls, too) by someone who moves faster than light, and never even remotely got the chance to use his stand
>>
>>2156544

Hitomi is being a little more paranoid than usual. She can at the very least trust her friends.

They could be lying about the stand's form, it could be an FTL punch ghost

I'm not saying don't let them go, I just want to verify for sure we're not seeing and hearing things that aren't there.

Let me reiterate, we got two rolls in the 90s. NINETIES.
They're not doing anything.

I can see the anons are still confused, so let's have a final vote to clean this up.

90 guarantee an upper hand, as far as Im concerned, not 'instant victory'

Still want to try that 'check with our friends in a different way than asking in front of them' strategy, but I'll go with
>Pretend you trust them and let them go to see if they do anything.

>Trust them and let them go.

I trust in Dust and in Hitomi's pals.

We get nowhere by acting overly paranoid; however, if we are wrong, then we gain justification to be overly paranoid from now on. It's a win-win.
>>
>>2156697
>>Trust them and let them go.
Now is not the time to become paranoid, Hitomi!

Maybe you're putting too much thought into this...

Sure, you're justified in being mistrustful given how the last enemy stand user treated you, but maybe you're putting too much thought into this.

All your friends seem convinced that they're already given up, and they don't seem to be putting much of a threat either...

"Alright then. you can go." You try to turn Tempest's limbs back to normal.

Good. No permanent damage, it seems you can manage to petrify them without harming them as long as you dont hit any vital organs.

"Thank you." Tempest sighs and moves over to Billy, shaking him awake.

"Huh? What happened? Werent we supposed to beat them up?" Billy asks in confusion.

"I explained our situation. They're letting us go!" Tempest clears things up.

"Oh? Alright then. Thanks, I guess." The young man says, still confused on how this happened.

"Let's go home already! I'm starting to get a migraine with his blurry vision." The girl complains while holding her boyfriend's hands.

"I told you to wear contact lenses, didnt i?" Billy nags back while placing a hand over her shoulder, moving away from the park.

>Wave goodbye.

>Ask if they want to come along.

>Ask if the Speedwagon Foundation could use a spare stand user.

As you watch them pass by, you poke the Speedwagon Foundation worker.

"Hey, does the Foundation need any spare stand users?"

"We dont really have one, so zero to two would be nice, these two dont seem like bad people either." The driver shrugs.

"Wait." You say to the couple before they drift off into the distance. "Are any of you looking for a job?"

"Well, we already have enough money to go back to America, but a job offer would be nice, especially now that we're planning on living together." Billy responds.

"My parents didnt support ou relationship, so I had to move with him, but I havent had too much like with jobs either." Tempest gives additional information

"I could help you out with that." Joseph says. "The Foundation needs some help in ressearching stand users and alike, do you think you're able to help us out with that?"

"Sure!" Billy smiles back to the old man. "What do I gotta do?"

"You can go on our truck to meet our boss if you want, It's not a really spaceous vehicle, so I hope you two dont mind." The driver says.

"Are you kidding? They'll probably start out with a better salary than ours just due to their stands." His coworker says. "Hop in, the boss would love having you around."

The couple happily moves over to the truck Iggy was previously in, heading towards their destination.

...

"What a bizarre way to end things up, huh?" Polnareff says, closing the driver's seat door.

"I kind of liked that things didnt go violent this time around." Kakyoin admits. "It gets a bit tiring to be fighting to death on every encounter."

"I never knew you could drive, Polnareff." Jotaro says.

"Never had a license, but Sherry never complained! I just need a few minutes to get used to it again, it's just like riding a bycicle" The frenchman starts out the engine.

"Good grief..." Jotaro places covers his eyes with his hat.

"Woof! Woof!" Iggy is startled to hear Polnareff drifting off the car into the distance

>Jotaro
(Does he think he's on a film noir or something? Take of that coat, dumbass! Stop trying to look intimidating when you can't even scare off a dog!)

>Polnareff
(What a dumb looking guy. His hair tasted nice, though, I cant wait to see his reaction when I fart on his stupid face, Hehehe!)

>Hitomi
(Who does she think she is, trying to play nice with me like i'm a cute puppy? I dont want to be your friend, I wanna go home! Bleh. It looks like she'll be the one carrying the gum now on though, so I cant mess around with her as much as wanted to...Guess I'll just play nice with her for now)

How well are Tempest and Billy going to do with the Speedwagon Foundation? Will their employment have long-term consequences?

Pretty good considering they'll finally have stand users in the Foundation. Now they'll be able to research more stand activities with people that can actually defend themselves against stands.
And who knows, maybe they'll encourage the couple into recruiting more stand users if they do well enough.
>>2160194
I'm considering doing one today since i might be a bit busy during the rest of christmas week.
>>
>>2160319
When is the next session? Also, are you going on hiatus during holiday break?

>>2160963
Most likely, although i think we can get at least to Wheel Of Fortune before Christmas, so i'll do another session by tomorrow.
