Time to finally leave India!

It took Polnareff some time to get used to the car, but after a few scares, he managed to keep driving just fine.

With Kakyoin on the front seat, you shared the back seat with Jotaro, Joseph and Iggy, who was comfortably sleeping under your lap.

Strangely enough, you have yet to see Iggy misbehave in front of you.Sure, he might be currently drooling on your clothes, but he's been sleeping ever since Polnareff started driving, it seems your plan of keeping him in place with chewing gum might just work out afterall--

You quickly look around for the coffee flavoured gum packages you received from the Foundation, only to see it empty on the ground.

So he was pretending to sleep while he ate the gum without anyone noticing? Nice going Hitomi... That'll sure make it easier to interact with him...

"*Cough Cough* Stop driving so slow! You're in my way!" Your thoughts are suddenly interrupted by Polnareff's complaints at a red car blocking the road. "You know what? I'm gonna pass the guy!" He says, almost going off road and accelerating past the unknown driver.

"Polnareff, no need to be reckless." Kakyoin says, only to hear a naughty laugh from the frenchman in return.

"You think that might have thrown some pebbles on the poor guy's car?" Joseph asks, looking to the rear window.

"Who knows? It could have." Polnareff shurgs while keeping his eyes on the road.

>The car looks fine to me.

"He's speeding up now." Jotaro points out "Maybe he's in a hurry."

"Let him pass then." Joseph advises.

Polnareff lowers the car glasses and signals for the driver to pass.

As soon as he passes, he slows down, raising dust onto Polnareff's windshield.

"What's the big idea? I let you pass, damn it. Hurry up and go away!" Polnareff tries to drive past him, but is completely blocked by the red car.

"Maybe they got mad at you." Kakyoin scolds Polnareff.

"Did you see his face though?" Jotaro asks.

"No, It's probably because of the dirty windows, but I didnt see anything." Polnareff replies.

"Could it be, then?" Jotaro ponders, unsure if a stand user might be hiding inside the car.

"You better watch out, Polnareff." Joseph mantains his eyes on the road.

Before any of their doubts could be confirmed, the man signals for Polnareff to drive past him similarly to how he previoulsy did the same.

"He's letting me pass now? Maybe he finally realized how slow his car really is. You should have stayed behind me in the first place, idiot." A cocky Polnareff says, following the driver's command.

His smug smile quickly fades away after hearing a nearby truck coming straight towards him at over 40 MPH.

"WHAT? A TRUCK!?" Pol screams after hearing the truck's horn.

"It's no use! We're going to crash!" A scared Kakyoin stares at the oncoming vehicle.

>Brace yourself.

>Grab ahold of Iggy.

>Jump out the window.

>Try to stop the truck with your stand.
>>
>>2162508
jotaro, I could trust to hold back a speeding truck. Our stand....? That's a bit of a toss up... maybe if we had star platinum.
Is our reaction fast enough to copy some metal from the car and have it shield us and whoever is near?
>>

With your survival instincts kicking in, you summon Karma Chameleon to place a hand on the car seats while stretching herself onto the car's back seat, protecting not only you, but both Joseph and Jotaro in the process.

As for Iggy, you grab ahold of the poor dog to protect himself from the upcoming inpact.

You close your eyes and wait for the worst, only to notice the crash isnt happening.

Did it happen so fast that you're already dead?

You slowly open your eyes to see the truck standing still a few metters away from your car, both vehicles being completely intact. Oddly enough, you can also see Star Platinum going back into Jotaro, who looks visibly tired all of a sudden.

Iggyy also wakes up to see himself on your arms. Confused, he loudly barks at you while biting at your hand.

"Ow!" You yelp as you let the dog go. What an ungrateful mutt, he didnt even know what was going on...

"Huh? What happened?" Polnareff is dumbfounded at the sight of both cars being fine.

"Let's just Star Platinum helped us out..." Jotaro takes a breather.

"Well, good job. But where's the other car?" Joseph asks.

"Seems like it took off. Now, do you think that the driver might be a stand user following us? Or maybe it's just some random asshole."

"Of course it's a stand user, we almost died!" Polnareff temporarily puts his confusion on hold to answer Jotaro.

"But we didnt even see a stand trying to attack us." Kakyoin argues.

>It's probably the former.

>It's probably the latter.

>Jotaro. Did you stop time again?
>>
>>2162585

"It's probably the former." You affirm to the group.

"Even so, there's not much we can do other than be careful as we head to the border." Joseph tries to think of what to do. "If someone comes after us again, we'll just have to take them down, stand user or not."

While Mr Joestar is talking, you approach Jotaro and whisper in his ear while everyone's distracted.

"You did it again, didnt you?"

"You bet I did." Is all Jotaro whispers back, before Kakyoin picks up the conversation.

"The truck driver's probably confused, though... What should we do to him?"

"Let's just pretend that never happened. Ignore it." Jotaro says, adjusting his hat.

...

After a few minutes of driving, Polnareff parks the car close to a tree for the group to take a break on the establishment Joseph found while he was driving uphill.

"A roadside tea house..." Joseph checks out the place. "Why not stop for a bit? If we take our time, we may avoid running into that car again."

"Agreed." You say while walking out the door.

Joseph quickly went to the counter to order some drinks with Polnareff and Kakyoin while Iggy took a walk around the place.

Looking out for Jotaro, you see him putting his cigarette pack back into his pocket as he sits down on a nearby table.

Sitting across from him, you decide to ask him about his sudden activation of the time stopping ability while no one else is around yet.

"To be honest. I'm still not sure how i activated it, i must have gotten accostumed to it after being frozen randomly throughout the day, so thinking about stopping time while under pressure seemed to work, i think i've managed it for about two seconds during the car crash. Although it never gets any less tiring."

Good to know he's making progress, but you're not sure if he'll be able to master that ability before meeting Dio...

"Maybe i can help you relax with my Hamon!" You smile to your classmate while suggesting the idea.

Jotaro ponders for a bit about letting you go through with it or not, but he eventually gives you a nod of approval.

Standing up and cracking your joints, you position yourself behind Jotaro and take a deep breath as you prepare to charge him up with Hamon.

After passing your energy onto him, you give Jotaro a slow massage on his shoulders, sjust in case he needs to ease some tension.

Jeez, his shoulders are unmovable! Either he's as buffed as a buffalo, has terrible posture, or the stress from the anticipation of Dio's encounter is taking a bigger toll on him that he's letting on.

"Thanks, i feel a lot better now. You can stop." Jotaro abruptly says, noticing Joseph and the others leaving the counter.

You weren't exactly finished, but it's best to go bck to your seat to prevent any awkward explanations...

"Here it is." Joseph arrives at the table with 6 drinks. By the smell, you can tell that you have 2 cups of oolong tea, a cup of chamomile tea, a cup of coffee, a cup of iced tea and a yellowish cup with a sweet flavour to it, you're not really sure what that is, but it's probably pretty tasty if you were to judge by smelling it alone.

To your left there are a few sugar packets and a few straws to share with your group.

You snatch the coffee cup from the tray as you unpack some of the sugar packets.

"Hey Hitomi, that one's for Mr Joestar--" Kakyoin politely warns you before being interrupted by the man himself.

"It's alright Kakyoin, I can drink the sugarcane juice instead." Joseph laughs it off, not really minding what he would drink.

They all wait for you to give them their sugar packets, only for you to pour all 6 of them into your mug and drink it on a straw.

The group looks pretty shocked as you nonchalantly enjoy your drink with a tender smile on your face.

"Well, I suppose I'm not one to judge with food preferences." Kakyoin clears his throat.

"What?" You speak with the straw still on your mouth.

"Nothing, we're just hoping you dont do this every time you drink coffee." Polnareff raises his non existent eyebrow, waiting for you to decline only to be stared back in silence.

"Oh my god...Maybe I'm just to old to drink stuff like this..." Joseph scratches his head.

As you peacefully enjoy your drinks, the idea of using your Hamon on the coffe comes to your head, it could be a good idea just to check if any stand users are nearby.

And sure enough, the ripples point out to a car parked right behind you, which appears to be the same car that previously set up a car crash.

"Isnt that...?" You call your comrades' attention to the car behind you, which made the group weary of the men around the tea house.

"Alright, where's the driver of that car parked over there?" Joseph speaks up, looking to every possible direction.

"I'm not sure. I didnt even noticed it was parked there..." The barman says in confusion.

"I doubt the driver will come out and announce himself." Kakyoin says to the group.

"This only leaves us with one option, right Jotaro?" Joseph asks his grandson.

"Yeah. It'll envolve some innocent bystanders, but we'll just beat them all down!" Jotaro irrationally says, tackling down a nearby man, with Joseph following soon after.

"H-hey Jotaro, Stop! You too, Mr Joestar?! This is going too far!" Kakyoin protests to no avail.

Taking your coffee mug with you, you approach the car with your stand out, hoping to get a reaction from the driver if you mess up with his car a little.

You get ready to throw a punch, only for a big hand to appear in on the front seat and splash a cup of alcohol straight to your face.

Thankfully, you reacted fast enough to close your eyes before the liquid hit you, but when you open your eyes, the car's already gone.

"Are you alright, Hitomi?" Joseph notices you being temporarily dazed by the alcohol.

"That asshole... Time to get to the bottom of this!" Polnareff says, running up to his car and catching Iggy along the way.

...

After following the car at high speed, Polnareff drove all the way up the cliffside to catch the mysterious driver while you struggled to keep your coffee from spilling on the floor.

"I'm gonna nail that bastard on this curve!" Polnareff speeds up, following the car until he reached a dead end, with an old suspension bridge connecting both countries' boards.

"What? A dead end?" The frenchman hits the brakes as hard as he can, barely avoiding the car from falling several dozends of meters into the ground below.

"But how did he disappear on that curve? I doubt that car would be able to cross this bridge..." Kakyoin thinks out loud.

Before anyone could rationalize a good answer, the car appeared right behind yours, ramming itself against the Joestar mobile, pushing him even closer to the edge.

Despite Polnareff's efforts, it appears this car will shove everyone down the cliff.

"KORE!" You summon Karma Chameleon to punch through the back window, dipping one of her hands into the coffee mug and another one on the red car's hood, you turn your stand into coffee in an attempt to liquify the car.

You sucessfully turn the car's hood into liquid, but as soon as the driver notices what you're doing. You see some liquid flying straight to the hole you've made on Polnareff's car.

Karma Chameleon tries to disperse it from you, but since she's mostly made of coffee, it does nothing to stop the oncoming liquid spurt onto your face.

You're forces to close your eyes and retract your stand as the liquid fired had enough force to damage your face. You close your eyes in instinct, but it does nothing to prevent the awful burning sensation that's coming to your wounds.

"Oh No! It got Hitomi!" Joseph says in shock.

"The car's giving in, i wont be able to hold him off!" Polnareff exclaims.

"Out of the car! Now!" You hear Jotaro shout as you feel yourself being carried to the outside of the car.

Judging by the spiky strings that you held on to, your guess is that the one carrying you was Joseph's Hermit Purple.

You hear a loud crash down below, you're confused of what exactly happening with the sound of a car's engine, multiple footsteps and barking coming from differenct directions, you could just open your eyes to figure out what's happening, but the burning of your facial wounds remind you that this might not be the best idea...

Come to think of it, this liquid has a strong, familiar smell that you're pretty sure you've felt before...

"Let's run between the boulders!" You hear Polnareff's voice shouting not too far away from you, which prompts you to sprint at his direction as fast as you can.

While you are running, you try to remember where else you've felt this smell in your face before... This really reminds you of when mom and dad used to drive you to school when you were young, although dad usually went to the gas station before stopping there...

Wait a minute... Gas station? Could it be...?

"Karma Chameleon!" You summon your stand, which was still in it's liquid form, to give you a coffee wash so you were finally able to see again.

The first image formed by your vision is Jotaro lifting you up and carrying you up the boulders, along with the rest of your group.

"Gas!" You shout to your friends. "He's throwing gasoline at us!"

Everyone but Iggy is shocked to hear you say that.Kakyoin, Jotaro and Polnareff seem to have been hit by the gasoline pellets as well, although Joseph seemed to be just fine. By the relaxed look on the dog's face, it seems more like he's just following you for the fun of it rather than running for his life.

"Climb if you want! But there are no roads left for you!" A voice coming from the vehicle down below shouts. "Not for escape, not for survival, not for Egypt, not even a road towards your shining future! Because Wheel Of Fortune here is going to grind you into pieces after splattering you all over these boulders!"

"The car is climbing up!" Kakyoin looks down the cliff in horror.

"Good grief...Looks like we're going to face him up here." Jotaro scoffs. "Stay back, everyone. Once he climbs up here we'll have a chance to hit him from the underside, that's when we'll find out just how strong he is."

Jotaro is OP now that he figured out timestop early.
With him also having Hitomi on his side it is GG for Dio and the enemy stands.
>>
>>2163554

I dunno, DIO is probably more annoyed/concerned than he was in the series.

Enyaba is actually not acting in concert with DIO's orders and is making new stand users to try and fight off the good guys, which she didn't before in the original series. DIO might actually be actively collecting people to drink instead of just leisurely seducing beautiful women to do so, and may actually be proficient with his vampire abilities by the time we reach Cairo.
>>
>>2163574
Enyaba also created two more enemies because now those cunts are working at the Speedwagon foundation. He must be real pissed at the old hag right now.

Swiftly ordering Karma cChameleon to absorb the boulders on the ground, you approach Jotaro with a stoic look on your face.

"Tell me, Hitomi. Are you a fan of sumo wrestling?" Jotaro crouches down while summoning Star Platinum.

"Not really, but I'm pretty sure it'd be more exciting if it envolved punching ghosts and buffed up cars!" You express your opinion as you repeat Jotaro's actions.

"Hm, I agree." Jotaro humours you over the sound of Wheel of Fortune's engine.

"It's the end for you, Jotaro--"

"ORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORA!" Is what interrupts the enemy stand user, followed by Karma's own cry.

"KORESOREKORESOREKORESORE!" The two stands shout in unison as they slowly but surely crush the tuned up car into pieces.

"Aaah! Im being crushed!" The stand users shouts before finally flying out of the car and disappearing into the sky.

September 18th, 1988

Stand User: ZZ

Stand Name: Wheel Of Fortune

Status:RETIRED

As the car falls down, it starts to shrink down into an ugly 4x4 jeep.

"Oh god!" Joseph says. "To think this was the car that was ganging up on us... It just looks like a sheep that's just been shorn. How pathetic."

"Still, the guy took down our car, so it's only fair we use this one to get to Pakistan." Polnareff points out.

"It's in a pretty bad shape. I wonder if it's actually going to last that long..."Kakyoin states while getting on the car.

"Woof Woof!" Iggy runs to the car as it starts off, likely trying to say 'Hey! Dont forget about me!'

"Why are you complaining now, you stupid mutt? You havent done anything so far!" Polnareff nags as he drives away into the desert.

I kinda enjoyed the bit where Hitomi tricked those two new Stand users with her statue. We barely even got to see their Stand powers, but it felt very Jojo when she used a silly trick like that to get 'em.
That being said, I'm eager to see how DIO deals with these new developments, especially when Jotaro's already able to stop friggin' time.

I'm guessing it's pucci.
Pucci is the only person sees as a friend, so he's a more likely candidate

He's really glad to know a girl who's not constantly kissing his ass and can stand up for herself. Jotaro feels very comfortable to show his true colors around Hitomi since she's not hanging around with him just because he looks cool.

>Joseph
He sees a lot of his younger self in Hitomi, not only in terms of strategy and abilities, but in bravery as well. He'll do his best to always be there for her prodigy.

>Polnareff
Hitomi managed to make him see the error of his ways which directly caused him to turn his life around into the Upside Chariot he was before Sherry died. He personally thinks he owes her a lot.

>Kakyoin
He's admired by Hitomi's neverending resolve and considers her to be the catalyst of his redemption, he thorougly enjoys spending his time with all of his new friends considering how lonely he was before this trip. He looks up to Hitomi like if she was leagues above him despite them being about the same age.

Hitomi absorbs the dice with one of karma chameleon's arms and absorbs potato's time stop with another.
The sudden simultaneous abstentions cause a fusion between the two. Due to the sudden fusion of powers dictating space and time respectively, karma chameleon begins to change form and become an all new stand.
The newly created stand turns toward Hitomi to give a warm smile then turns around and erases the enemy stand from existence

September 19th, 1988

You and the other crusaders have finally arrived in Pakistan. According to Joseph, we still have a long way to go since he's aiming to arrive at the capital of Karachi by the 21st night of September.

"Jeez, i'm starting to get tired of driving this thing." Polnareff speaks.

"I could take the wheel if you want, Polnareff." Joseph offers "We should be getting close to a city by now."

"I'm just tired of driving through this desert, to be honest." Polnareff replies. "A short break would be nice."

"Maybe Joseph should take the wheel if you're feeling tired, Polnareff." You side with Joseph on this one, driving can get pretty monotonous when nothing's really happening, so there's probably nothing wrong with letting him rest.

"Alright then." Polnareff complies, hitting the brakes and letting Joseph take the wheel in his place.

Jotaro seems to be taking a short nap, it's weird to consider sleeping with the desert sun straight at his face, but since his sleeping cycle is just as off as everyone else's, you cant really blame the guy.

Kakyoin seems to be spacing out looking on the sand dunes in the distance, bored out of his mind.

Iggy also seems particularly grumpy today since we've been doing nothing else but drive. Is he missing his gum or that's just his usual mood?

"Iggy!" You call for the small dog inside the jeep. He perks his ears, sniff you up and down looking for his coffee treats, then moves away to the sleeping Jotaro once he notices you dont have anything of interest to him.

It's a bit hard to understand Iggy since he doenst communicate properly, but it's hard to get along with him if he only takes interest in you when you're carrying the gum he likes...

"Having some trouble with Iggy?" Kakyoin asks, noticing you frowning at your own thoughts. "Dont get upset with him, he's just a really proud dog."

"So you tried talking to him too?" You ask the pink haired boy, unsure of what you're doing wrong in your interactions with Iggy.

"Yeah, he summoned The Fool yesterday when Polnareff was almost falling asleep to shove sand in hir ears. Polnareff didnt see it, but I noticed Iggy was grinning like never before. According to Joseph, Iggy's of pure breed, so he most likely got pampered by some rich owner ever since he was a puppy."

You can definetly see him being spoiled by the way he acts, but even so, what gives? None of you are actually hostile towards Iggy and he still treats everyone like trash.

"How much do you know about dogs, Kakyoin?" You ask him.

"Mom has a Chihuahua back home, I was never the most social kid in class, so she was my best friend for the longest time. Mom's always out for work too, so she doesnt have enough time to spend with Miki as much as she wants to, so I take care of her instead."

"Miki? What a cute name..." You compliment the name for Kakyoin's dog.

"I could show her when we get back to Japan if you want me to." He offers.

"That sounds nice! Having previous experiences with dogs must be helpful when trying to read Iggy. Do you have any advice for me?" You ask, looking to the Boston Terrier walking around the jeep's floor.

"Well, on most normal dogs i would reccomend you to not pay attention or scold him when he misbehaves, but Iggy isnt a normal dog, is he?" Kakyoin chuckles to himself. "I think treating him with coffee gum is probably the mistake we're doing, since it subconsciously makes him think being uneducated is something worth being recompensated, when we're just doing this to shut him up for a while."

"So I shouldnt give him gum when we buy more?" You scratch your head in confusion.

"I think it'd be best to only give him gum when he's showing signs of improvement, or when he helps us out. He'll feel weird that he's not being constantly fed what he wants, which will initially make him upset, but after the initial withdrawal, he theoretically be more inclined to understand what he should do to recieve his favourite food."

That makes sense, maybe you should try it out when Joseph buys more gum...

>Keep talking to Kakyoin. (Write-in)

Thanking Kakyoin for the advice, you sit back and summon your stand, thinking about distracting yourself during the ride.

You hold one hand with Karma Chameleon while placing another hand on your seat, you think of trying out new things with her, thinkering around with Karma's abilities while you are at it.

Absorbing the properties of both your skin and the jeep's cushions, you see her changing colors whith both objects being split half and half throughout her body.

You try to strain your body for a bit, hoping you can control what parts of her body are turned into what, only for her sides to switch colors around.

If only you were able to mix those two absorbed surfaces...

Surely it cant be that hard, can it? Karma Chameleon is almost a month old now. A tough girl like her can handle an easy task like that, cant she?

With a bit more straining on your body, you manage to mix the pale light of your skin tone with the dark brown color of your seat throughout Karma Chameleon's body, creating an odd amalgamation between the two.

"Nice." Kakyoin notices what you just did. "Since when were you able to do that?"

"Since a few seconds ago." You respond while considering going even further with your idea.

Alright, you've managed to mix both absorbed surfaces in your stand, so why not try out controlling each matter individually?

Focusing on your stand's upper right hand, you try to concentrate all of your skin into her hand.

And sure enough, the skin part of Karma disperses from her body all the way up to her hand, while the remaining brown color covering the rest of her beautiful figure.

Your fun with your stand comes to an abrupt end however, since you quickly realize that Polnareff stopped the car.

"What happened?" Jotaro yawns, waking up after hearing the engine stopping.

"Nothing, it's just that I saw that oasis there in the distance, so I was considering washing up the car." Polnareff points to the nearby water source.

"That'd be a good idea. This old car is needing a good wash." Joseph agrees with his french comrade.

"Does it have enough water for that?" Kakyoin refers to the amount of water required to wash the jeep.

"We have our girl Hitomi to help us out if it doesnt, right?" Polnareff winks at you, indirectly asking for your help.

Being a hug dispenser she's probably comfy to lie on
>>
>>2165619
would be pretty funny to do in a resturant. no chairs availible? have KaC bend backwards and sit on her stomach, make it look like we're sitting on thin air to the rest of the people there, or doing that one exersise without faltering.
although, given the benefits of hamon, she could probably do that without karma now, couldn't she? indefinitely if she just kept up her breathing.

"You sure do!" you high five Polnareff, agreeing to help him out by washing out the car.

"I knew i could count on ya!" The white haired man answers you with glee. "Let's see if i can drive all the way there."

After going off road, Polnareff parks next to some bushes and turning off the jeep one more time.

"Alright! Who's gonna help us out?" He asks to the rest of the group.

"I think i could help you out." Joseph raises his hand.

"I still a bit sleepy, so i dont wanna screw anything up." Jotaro takes off his hat.

"That's alright, we could watch Iggy while they're taking care of the car." Kakyoin proposes.

"Sure, but you two are tagging in if any of us get tired throughout this, alright?" You smile to the students.

"Ok!" They both answer simoultaneously.

"Let's get this started, then!" You rub your hands together, anxious to wash up the car with Joseph and Polnareff.

Taking a deep breathing to charge your Hamon for a stand radar, you push Karma Chameleon into the oasis while passing your Hamon into her.

You see the water from the oasis shining for a few seconds before your stand jumps out of the water in her liquid state, walking on the water with a flustered face, most likely being upset that you just pushed her into the oasis.

The water is now completely filled with Hamon, and judging by the lack of ripples flowing in the water, there's no sight of any enemy stand users anywhere close to where you're standing.

"Good thinking, Hitomi!" Joseph says, noticing what you were doing. "Good to know you're not slacking off on your Hamon training."

"You're one to talk!" You giggle back to the old man while watching Karma Chameleon.

Brushing her water hair back to her face, your stand begins sliding on the water with one feet, as if she was ice skating, only to jump at the car and rubbing her four hands all over the jeep, working as an infinite water bucket to wash the vehicle.

"We'll take it from here!" Polnareff grabs a few pieces of cloth and a bar of soap to continue the task.

>Watch Joseph and Polnareff.

>>
>>2165811
Our stand is made of water. Stands are connected to the user. Throwing a piece of karma means throwing a piece of our own body
>>
>>2165819
If she were solid, I would agree with you, but she's in a liquid state right now. pretty sure that rule doesn't apply when she's like that. not 100% sure, but pretty sure.
would rather just get ourselves washed than throw parts of our stand at people though
>>
>>2165819
Liquid KC works different than normal. A hole punched in liquid KC wouldn't punch a hole in hitomi, as long as the liquid still exists - evaporating it would presumably hurt her as with n'doul and his water stand.
>>
>>2165827
If that's not how it works then we wouldn't have almost been torn apart the first time karma went liquid. What happens to karma happens to us, even in liquid form
>>
>>2165833
wasn't that just from the strain of holding together a humanish form for karma?
>>
>>2165833
Also, from a previous thread:

>Maybe you wont feel a heavy strain on your body by mantaining your form if it's only half of it...

>Surely enough, you manage to transform the left side of your stand in water while the right one is still in a solid state, while its ceirtainly easier to do it than when you were injured, it's still something you havent quite mastered yet.

>Feeling Karma's liquid half and comparing it to her solid state, you can see that the stand has become completely intangible, not even Star Platinum would be able to harm you since he just cant damage water with his fists.
>>
>>2165784
Now that you've turned Karma into a pocket washing machine, a smart idea pops on your head as you watch Joseph scrub the car with Polnareff.

"Can i tag out? I wanna take a shower." You point to your liquid stand, which is pointing to a nearby boulder that could probably block the crowd from viewing you.

"Sure, just call for Jotaro to help us out when you're done!" Polnareff lets you go.

Going to the rock and taking off your sari, you let Karma Chameleon wash both you and your clothes to clean yourself from yesterday's event.

You dont get to shower everyday in this trip, especially now that you'll have to walk out in the desert, so having Karma Chameleon working as a shower willl do wonders for you.

After you're done, you change back into your school uniform since you didnt get a chance to buy any new ones.

"Ah, much better!" You say to yourself, relieved to wear more lighter clothing under the sun. You're probably not going to wear this when you arrive in the cities, but it's good to let your pores take a breather while your middle eastern attire is drying up.

Obeying Polnareff, you approach Kakyoin and Iggy, who were watching Jotaro doing a trick with his cigarette, to ask for help with cleaning up the jeep.

>Jotaro, they're asking for you to help out with the car.

>Kakyoin, they're asking for you to help out with the car.

"Jotaro, they're asking for you to help out with the car--" You suddenly wince over your words, feeling tired all of a sudden.

"You feeling alright, Hitomi?" Jotaro asks, raising a brow at your suddenly exhausted posture.

Now that the Hamon ran out on Karma, you've felt all of the strain for mantaining her liquid form at once.

Was the Hamon numbing your pain, or did it just help Karma Chameleon mantain her composition?

"Yeah, Im just feeling a bit tired, no biggie!" You choose not to worry Jotaro over your exhaustion, making him shrug and head to the jeep.

"It's been a while since you've wore this uniform." Kakyoin notices your change of clothing. "Have you been working out?"

"You can say Hamon helped me out on that regard. It sucks that i'll still have to stick to the sari, though." You reply to Kakyoin while complaining about your clothes.

"Actually, I think you'll be able to wear your normal clothes without getting any weird looks now that we're out of India, so long as you get to wear a hijab." He tells you.

"What's that?" You ask the pink haired boy.

"Think of it like a hood, it's probably an incovenience for you, but it's still better than a sari, right?" Kakyoin tries to explasin what a hijab is.

"It doesnt sound that bad, actually." You share your opinion wit him, but decide to change the subject after looking at the dog scratching itself next to Kakyoin. "So, any luck with Iggy?"

"Jotaro found a gum packet inside his coat, so we thought we could train Iggy by letting him wait for his treat, but he kept barking at Jotaro while he was doing his cigarette trick."

>Maybe he'll listen to me.

>>
>>2166022
>>2166034
Oh this is perfect, yeah.
>>
>>2166022
>Maybe he'll listen to me.

Also gotta keep in mind that other Stand-using animals have had near-human or humanlike psychology and intelligence. Perhaps we might try treating him more like a human being shaped like a small dog instead of a dog?

Though we the audience know that this is the case, this might not have occurred to Hitomi and/or Kakyoin.

"Can i have the gum? Maybe he'll listen to me." You ask to educate Iggy your way, to which Kakyoin responds with a very worried 'be careful' after handing the packet to you.

Turning Karma Chameleon's lower right hand into coffee flavoured gum and try to disperse it onto the sand, turning a small area around Iggy into gum as well.

"Hey Iggy, check this out!" You say, making him run close to the gum floor, only for you to turn it back into sand when he approaches, making the poor dog bury his nose on the sand.s

"I can give you as much coffee as you want, but you have to be good to everyone--" You try give a calm speech to him, only to get treated by a mouthful of sand in return.

As you cough out the sand, you realize he didnt just threw sand at you.

"This can't be good..." Kakyoin notices that Iggy summoned The Fool one more time, a mechanical quadruped creature that's about 2 feet taller than his stand user.

He's audibly growling at you, but he hasnt really shown signs of wanting to attack you yet.

Taking a good look at his posture, you notice that Iggy isnt angry at you for taking his prize away, it's probably something that has deeper meaning into it.

If he was angry at you, he would already have attacked you, it's more like he's showing The Fool to remind you that he's a stand user just like you.

Maybe he's more upset at the fact that you've been treating him as a dog instead of an avid, stand user like the rest of your group.

"Alright Iggy, I get ya." You give the dog his coffee packet again, while turning some of the area back into coffee gum. "You're a competent fighter not unlike me, it's only fair for me to treat you as such."

The dog gives you a confident wink before chewing the gum on his surroundings, seemingly satisfied with your results. Interesting, it seems he can even understand what you're saying.

"I dont really understand what happened..." Kakyoin scratches his back.

"We're done!" Polnareff shouts after finishing with the jeep.

"I'll tell you on the way to the next city!" You tell your classmate while you approach the vehicle with your new friend.

"Next stop. Karachi: the capital of Pakistan!" Joseph excitedly announces while starting the engine and driving away into the sunset after everyone's tucked into their seats.

>To be continued.

Thanks, for running, dust!
With Karma, hitomi really could make a basically infinite supply of something, couldn't she? For like, mundane things. Out of sugar? Just make more sugar. No chocolate? Just turn a random brick into more and munch on that.

>>
>>2166542
I wonder what fusing two different types of cells would do. You know, like a heart's cells and a brain's cells.
Hell...do you think we could create a cell that can perform the role of ANY cell, without having to differentiate into it like a stem cell? It'd be like the logical step up from a stem cell. Doing it could be as simple as taking the above heart/brain combo, and just keep going from there until you have one of each type of cell merged into the combination.

Admittedly, I think Ultimate Kar's cells already do this. Though his energy requirements are high as fuck.

>>
>>2166647
What do you reckon that someone could do, with that sort of upgrade?
By my guesses, it'd boost their physical and mental capabilities drastically at the very least.
And they might be able to do the pillar man thing where she can just drag something into herself to eat it, since all of her cells could produce digestive enzymes.
Shapeshifting is dubious, though. I personally don't think they'd be capable of it, but I could be wrong.
>>
>>2166876
Shapeshifting is definitely something to look into, since I doubt we could do it even with those modifications. No suddenly turning into hitomi-bird. But! Taking some traits from animals seems like something to try. Take the cells of a falcons eye or snakes eyes and try it for ourselves. Not sure if the brain is wired for colors like that, but itd be fun to imagine.
Hitomi would need to eat a lot to combat the drain of using that sort of shifting function briefly though. Such as turning her internals to brain matter to think better. Or converting to muscle mass to do things beyond normal human strength. Which, funny enough would mean copious amounts of sugar. So much sugar. Just pour it like a shower on top of her.
>>
>>2167237
Who needs a falcon's eyes when you can copy star platinum's eyes

That's a thing for karma. Not sure how it'd work for ourselves. I still want to see if we can copy whatever star platinum is made of and see if we can experience stopped time that way.

I'd like to experiment with turning things into stand-material. You know, to see how that effects them. If you turn a bird into the stuff that makes up heirophant green, for instance, will it be visible to people who don't have stands? Could Kakyoin control it as he could his stand? Would it be able to be transformed in this manner safely, and returned back to normal without harm?

I'd assume since karma is way tougher than us, if we take a blow, it might be reflected to karma. Blows that would normally kill us could be tanked, since karma has a higher damage threshold, in that case. Also, we'd be invisible to everyone except stand users.
But, really, there isn't much point.

>collection of cells which ultimately perform the necessary tasks of a human lung
Thats retarded. Lungs only work because they're connected to your trachea--"lung cells" (which are literally just connective tissue with alveoli) could anywhere you want in your body and they wouldn't let you breathe unless they had access to air to perform gas exchange. And remember, the post I was replying to was talking about making EVERY cell a "lung cell" so no, it wasn't clear he knew at all what he was talking about.

I used the plural 'cells'. Didn't think that it was necessary to be more specific than that and go into a long-winded explanation at all, but apparently you didn't understand what was meant by the simplification.
I mean, I'm not about to go into detail on every single type of cell in the body, or even in just a single organ. That'd be a lot of effort just to talk to a bunch of people in an anime quest on a mongolian deep-sea fishing board.
There's really no need to take any of this so seriously anyways.
