As a result of a humiliating attempt with the System[Quest]_Crash, I have revamped the idea with the quest to give a more comprehensive idea of what you're in for.

It is the 41st Century, space shuttles that can bend the reality of space and time are a possibility.

Daemons are a slave-like army made from a variety of different races captured by an unknown patron of a corporation. Daemons are usually the offspring of Prisoners of War. They're bred from day one to be obedient, loyal, and deadly through the use of a Neuron Chip.

Daemons, when traveling through time and space, are kept in Hydro-Hallucinstasis Pods. It simulates a real, normal life in the twenty-first century.

A system failure has caused the ship to stop mid-space, life support for the entire ship threatens to fail.

The next post of mine will begin the quest.

A system meltdown has occurred on a Daemon ship, resulting in the premature waking of Daemons and their subsequent death via drowning.

Daemon-1995, a female rookie just turning of age, is awoken in her Pod. Her head hurts horribly, her under-armor is only just barely keeping her warm from the frosty chill of the hallucinogenic water inside of her pod.

She is wearing what would allude to a scuba-mask, it's to keep the liquid from touching her eyes and causing permanent eye damage. The steady cold breeze of oxygen is not being flown into the tube; the scent of blood, however, permeates Daemon-1995's nose instead.

Daemon-1995 opens her eyes, she cannot see past the Pod Door but there is blood on the ground in front of her pod. There might be danger if she exits this pod. However, the oxygen flow has nearly ceased. A lever next to her arm is the emergency release, it will free her and save Daemon-1995 from the water but expose her to the risk of an attacker.

Should she pull the lever?

>Pull the lever
Daemon-1995 had no other alternative and reached for the emergency lever and gave it a huge yank upwards. She heard pressure pop in her ears and the loud mechanical screech of various machinery overriding themselves and prying itself open.

Daemon-1995 pulled the scuba-mask off of her face and undid her bindings, which was nothing more than a few leather wraps. They were torn off immediately on the account of her sharp teeth.

Daemon is free.

From the immediate standpoint, Daemon-1995 can't see any threats in her vicinity but she can definitely see two Hydro-Hallucinstasis Pods overflowing with a clumpy mix of bright crimson and dark cardinal blood. Daemon-1995 swore she saw a brain chunk as well.

Daemon-1995 grows wearily nervous about her fellow Daemons, she HAS to free them whether or not they are alive - it's only right that they don't stay in blasted Pod, maybe one of them could still be alive...?

She highly doubt it, but is still hopeful.

but at the same time, she doesn't exactly understand the situation at hand. Hell, she doesn't even know her OWN name! Maybe a quick look at that terminal over there may satisfied a answer or two?

What should she do, look at the terminal or try to free her fallen comrades?

Daemon-1995 is famished but NOT that hungry. The idea that she should straight-up eat blood, that she has no idea where it came from, strikes her as irresponsible and repulsive.

However, on the other hand, Daemon 1995 is tempted and she considers it: how would she be able to keep it down if she throws it back up again?
>>
>>983689
You ruined all or my quotes.

>daemon 1995 realizes that you actually drink blood and it's the brain you eat. Along side the fact that blood born deasease is not spreadable through ingestion but open wound contact thus she should be safe thus is only repulsive and not irresponsible.

Daemon-1995 is conflicted at whether or not she should check the terminal or the pods. There might be someone else trapped in their pod, but the liklyhood of finding someone in their pod unharmed are beginning to become very slim as she begins to ponder about the terminal. Her friends may very well be dead, and that strikes a bit of anxious dread in her heart. While it is a cynically hardline view on her shipmates, it is probably the more realistic choice.
Decisions, Decisions.

Well with that argument, Daemon can't really argue much.
Daemon drank up the iron enriched blood and ate the brain. The brain belonged to a human, but the graymatter belonged to an otter anthropomorphic. Both satisfy your craving as a predator and a blood-drinking monster.

"Because I ran away, got inside an air duct and used an air fan to hurt him. You don't know how to make acid or something like that to hurt the monster, do you? Because even if I find another air duct with an active fan, I don't think that thing will fall for the same trick twice."

No idea, to be honest: everyone else in the room was turned into red paste. Ask him if he knows where we can get an Upgrade Module and some supplies.

"Uh... uh..." The doctor stammered, "I'm only a Medic Daemon, sorry, w-what exactly is your ID? Mine is 1241."

It's best advised that Liv has the doctor to trust her, he could have access into rooms that's impervious to Combat Daemons.

Unless what? Also, ask him if he has a name he wants us to use as '1241' is a bit of a mouthful.

>>986772
"I indeed did..." Bob chews feverishly on the red and blue wires in his hands. "How can I trust that you won't bomb this place and kill us all?"
>>
>>986773

"Or we could go somewhere closer and just mix up cleaning supplies... do you know the codes to quarantine a room? Because right now the only one I remember is how to make lethal gas. Or I guess we could just drop a bottle of pure clorine on the abomination and run. That thing is quite acid while pure. And since this is a med room, there might be a bottle or two hidden somewhere. A lot of
cleaning models hide cleaning supplies in the botton drawers to avoid going to the opposite side of the ship when is a place that's get cleaned regularly."

>Look for a bottle or two of clorine hidden in the sick bay. You know this place gets cleaned everyday and you trust the cleaning models to be lazy asses as usual.
>>

Don't be stupid, what good would that do me?

It looks like the lab is on another deck, so let's head to 3 via 8 and 9 and scrounge what we can on the way.

Liv found a LUNCHBOX, Liv placed her drugs and bandages inside.
>Reconnoiter the information Bob knows
"Well," Bob stops chewing the wire. "The ship just stopped. We're midspace, we should not be stopping. I haven't head word from the Officers or The Admiral. I was taking care of Daemon-1829, he was sick with some sort of virus before the alarms went off. That Abomination you spoke of must have gotten past an airlock, but it was somewhere in upper deck. As soon as it reached our deck, I tried my best to take care of 1829."

Bob grimanced. "He got inside of the Sickbay while I was looking in the closet for a saline packet. I hid inside while that... thing... ate the god damn human like he was paste!"

Bob snorted, "that sounds like the antagonist's backstory of a really shitty science fiction horror novel, it has to be more complex than that," Bob grabbed Liv's face by the cheeks and began to examine her mouth. "The virus started in the mouth, however, it wasn't contagious at the moment. It looked like a regular flu."

Liv feels highly uncomfortable.
>>
>>986812
"Oh and I guess you don't think an alien we have no information about doesn't have viruses and pathogens we might be vulnerable to? How did you pass the medical exam? Did they just cram the information in your head and call it done? Did you even read the obligatory first contact guide, specially the part about how do avoid getting sick? Daemons are made to last but there is a big universe out there. I don't want to kill the thing only to die from a supposed common cold days later."
>>
>>986818

Good point, let's avoid a "War Of The Worlds." situation.

Ammonia in Windex will be what we need to vaporize the bleach into a noxious gas. We will combine them at the ready and seal ourselves in one of the doors until the effects on the monster are clear. >no pic because stylus is dead.

As Liv and Bob exit the Sickbay to the Life Support Module, the creeping threat of dread hung in the air as they could never shake off the feeling they were being hunted. Bob, as he has no prior training, is audibly chewing wires like no tomorrow (because that is a very real possibility. The moons of Auda Maximus, a nearby planet, reflects the sun's rays and illuminates part of the Life Support room. The Life Support room is ungodly freezing, 10 degrees Fahrenheit.

"Then you'd be completely naked," A huge blush reared its ugly head on Bob's face.
>>
Rather freezing cold and naked than bashed to death tentacle fucked and eaten.
>>
>>986961
Is this a plot to have our protagonist naked? I can just draw her naked in a noncanon panel if you're that desperate.

Liv stops talking and ignores her very extreme subconscious to enjoy a very refined banquet of her superior's heads with blood. It may be her last supper, but at least she can eat her masters' faces off.

"There's a janitor's closet in the lower deck, we can reach the elevator quickly. My laboratory is on the upper deck... but that exposes us to the Abomination."

Liv considers her options:
1. Take the route to the LOWER DECK, it will decrease the chances of interaction with THe Abomination, but the likelyhood of catching the virus that's infected 1824 is high.

2. Go to the UPPER DECK, where the likelihood of meeting The Abomination is high but the risk of 1824's disease effecting them is significantly lower.
>>
>>987043

"Let's go to the UPPER DECK, but first let's try to look for anything useful here."

>>987171
Bob is visibly fuming but knows he is powerless to stop the constant undermining of his manhood, given that he is clearly the weaker Daemon and Liv's neuron chip is no longer being monitored for insubordination. Bob stays quiet and takes it like a buck.
>>
>>987178
Let's head to the CAPTAIN'S QUARTERS first to gather any access cards or passwords we might need, along with any logs explaining what the fuck happened.
>>
>>987168

"While the living quarters are close that's the place an abomination would go to make a nest plus we don't have access cards or the codes for that anyway. So anything good close by we can actually access? Because if we just run straight away to the LAB that thing will get us."
>>
>>987184

What? We can actually enter there? Does the ship leaves all doors open during an emergency or what?"

"Haha, guess these guys aren't important enough to munch on?" Bob nervously thought out loud.

The KITCHEN was a lot cleaner than Liv was expecting. She guessed the place would be a complete hog-house given the circumstances. There is a human chef is is impaled by a large kitchen knife, his head is split into two by a butcher knife. The Abomination didn't kill this man, someone else did him in before The Abomination. Tufts of yellow feathers are scattered on the marble ground.

"You know what, I actually knew this guy," Bob grimaced, crestfallen. "He wasn't a Daemon, he volunteered to be head chef. The fool was a klutz, always burning his bloody hand."
>>
>>988305
>Bob get the knife, I will look for cleaning supplies. Oh, also get some food for yourself.

Bob holds his knife close to his chest, visibly shaking. Liv is barely holding on to her faux confidence facade.
"Come out with your hands on your head!" Liv demanded, her authority boosted with the OFFICER'S CAP.
Instead of compliance, THE HUNTER throws a throwing knife at them. Bob is struck in the thigh and he collapses with a cry in pain.
"A true hunter NEVER surrenders to her PREY..." THE HUNTER chirped, her talons scraping the ground in the COMMON AREA.
Liv had no line of sight with THE HUNTER. Aggrieve THE HUNTER?

"fUUUUUUUCK IT HURTS!" Bob complains as he absconds from the room into the kitchen. There's a trail of red blood as he limps away.

THE HUNTER steps into full view, a meat cleaver in her possession. THE HUNTER's eyes are glowing, literally. Smokey trails travel from them, as if they were on fire.
It seems Liv's taunts had no effect on the crippling psychosis THE HUNTER has.
Liv's neuron chip recognizes THE HUNTER, or HUNTRESS as the threat is a female, as Daemon-1824.
"I am not interested IN you," THE HUNTRESS peers over your shoulder. "I WANT THE RABBIT."

Instead of being aggressive, THE HUNTRESS lobbed a throwing knife at Liv's head. Liv caught the knife in her arm and thankfully it doesn't hit a main artery.
(capitalizing every fourth word to indicate sporadic speech pattern)
"Did you forget THAT I'm also a DAEMON?" THE HUNTRESS reminds Liv, who reels in agonizing pain. "I know all of the TRICKS in the motherfucking BOOK and more! Now move before YOU get slaughtered like THE rest of the OFFICERS."

Liv is damaged, -15 HP!

>THE HUNTRESS aimed to main, not to kill. The DAMN BIRD could have killed Bob at any time. Huntress used to care about Bob? Disease makes it rationalise as leaving him for last. Maybe corrupted mating habits? Get her eggs fertilized then kill and eat the rabbit ro satisfy animal instincts?

>Hiss at her, hope that triggers aggression due to instincts. Virus is eating away her mind, a few hours and all rationalisations might be gone?

>Do no eat body, is infected.
>>
>>990026

>Hiss

>Trow GAS DISPENSER near HUNTRESS, pull knife and hit the GAS DISPENSER with it, run the hell away to the KITCHEN.
>>
>>990027
Liv hisses at THE HUNTRESS, THE HUNTRESS squawks primitively back at her. THE HUNTRESS is ENRAGED but does not advance to attack.

Should Liv move in to aggrieve THE HUNTRESS or stand her ground for THE HUNTRESS's move?
>>
>>990050
Pulling the knife out of Liv's arm will subject her to a status of BLDNG (bleeding), are you absolutely sure you wish to pull out the knife?
>>
>>990059

Depends, can we throw the GAS DISPENSER hard enough to break it? And how many knifes does the BIRD have left?
>>
>>990059
>Lick your lips, look at the bird with fake hunger. What the manuals never tell is how much a daemon is influenced by what animal they were made of. Virus encourages aggression, virus encourages use of instints. Subject still has enough of mind left to think.

"Why didn't you eat them? All that meat wasted."
>>
>>990085
I'd be very surprised if a rookie, fresh out of training would be able to pull off a move like that. Even if she does hit it, Liv is untrained with throwing knives so she won't be able to hit it very hard.

With Liv's CAT EYES, she spots that THE HUNTRESS has one more knife to throw. THE HUNTRESS will advance and initiate a close quarters fight with her MEAT CLEAVER.

Either Liv absconds from the altercation or she forces the fight to become close quarters.
>>990103
This successfully tricks THE HUNTRESS into advancing onto Liv, ready to swing her CLEAVER to slice off Liv's head.
>>

SUCCESS! THE MAKESHIFT GAS DISPENSER was cut perfectly and it blinded THE HUNTER with noxious and poisonous gas! Unfortunately, that was perhaps your only weapon against The Abomination.

With the angle of the strike and some pretty harsh luck, the CLEAVER strikes one of Liv's ears and it becomes nicked. -5 Damage! Liv absconds from THE HUNTRESS, whom is now screeching in an enraged trance. It swings its CLEAVER everywhere.

However, it does not seem to be poisoning the BIRD. It only took her sight.

Reaching the KITCHEN, Bob is mending to his wounds carefully before acknowledging Liv. "Crickey, Liv! Your right ear! Did she bite you?!"
>>

>>
>>990176

>>
>>990203
Yes, the virus has mutated THE HUNTRESS to be resistant to chemical damage to her feathers and skin. The only things affected was her eyes, which has completely fried. THE HUNTRESS is blind now.
>>990216
"Sure thing, but that wound is deep. You'll still bleed a lot of blood with the [gauze], is there anything we can use to burn it shut?"
>>

>>
>>990252

Liv pulls out the knife from her arm and lets it drop to the ground with a loud metal 'clink!'. Bob gets the impression that she probably doesn't care.
>>
>>990273
"Water heater then."

> Liv uses water heater to seal the wound, it hurts!
>>
>>990401

Liv is no longer suffering the status of AGONY!

Bob wraps up Liv's arm and then....
>>
THE HUNTRESS screeches again, sending chills down Bob's back. "You didn't kill her?!"
>>
>>990543
she's flailing around with a butcher's knife, I don't have a weapon. I chose the smart option and ran after taking her sight. now unless she has some way to restore her sight she's blind now so we'll have a much easier time running from her... also how did she manage to pull off killing the officers without her chip blowing her head off?

Bob looked as if he stifled a sigh of relief.

"If you're wondering what Daemon she is, she's 1776. 1829's dead, remember? 1776 has suffered from shell shock and thus she gets bouts of crippling psychosis, which makes the chip screwy and faulty," Bob tugs at his padded medical jacket. "As you know, she was to be subjugated to Section 8. I didn't. I... uh... pitied her."
>>
>>991655
Wait, you had a combat daemon with psychosis and a faulty chip and you decided to turn her loose?

Look where that's gotten us - if we get out of this alive, you'll have learned a valuable lesson. Let's go, the sooner we're away from her the better. Head out via the MESS HALL towards the main hallway.

Did you change her chip ID? Could you change ours?
>>
>>991779
>Head out to the main hallway,

The ELEVATOR is to their right and the LIVING QUARTERS are to their left.

"You wouldn't understand anyways," Bob seethed in pain as he limped beside Liv. "No, I didn't change her chip ID. I did something I could be in front of the firing squad for - I tweaked it, which involved open brain surgery." Given that we don't have the luxury of time for me to cut into your brain and vice versa, no. We can't."
>>
>>991840
Well, on the bright side, I don't think you'll have to worry about the firing squad anymore.

"So, who exactly are you?" He asked. "Were you born into the daemon regime or did you volunteer? What exactly did your parents act like?"
>>
>>993022

Lab rat. Born and raised in a damn tube until I got old enough. Parents? That's obsolete. Why would they let us form a family anyway?

Next generation daemon are vat grow, programed and ready for service in just two to three years. Childhood? What's that?

But they still make the same damn mistake, the simulation we live when we are tubed. How can they give us that and don't expect us to want freedom?
>>
>>993319
"Jeez... As a ex-cleaning model and medical model, I never really seen the inside of a simulation. What's it like? I've heard they simulated life in like ancient 21st Century," Bob replies. Bob's bandage seems to be growing more red with every step. Liv could carry him with no movement impairment.
>>
>>993443
Offer to carry the bunlet.
>>
>>993557
Unsurprisingly, the bunlet refuses out of his own pride but caves in after a few more steps. Liv bridal carries Bob.

Bob suffers the status of HUMILIATION, he looks less of a man now.

Liv and Bob makes it pass ADMIDSHIPS and continue heading foreward. Liv and Bob are now by a set of elevators. They seemed to only fit one person at a time. The starboard elevator was out of order. Regardless, niether of them were fixing on using these elevators. There's a door right between them and there's a door on both sides of the elevators. According to the MAP OF THE UPPER DECK, the centerstage door is the quickest route to 2 and then to the LAB.

"...Out...there?" Bob adjusts his glasses. "You wouldn't like it anyways, it's like a war among Corporations and we're the ones being paid by the galactic war economy."
>>994733
Bob no longers suffers from HUMILIATION, now he looks like an injured Medic! How ironic.

The lab's entrance was blocked by a small yellow covered tent. Inside of the tent was a laser grid, neon blue. Bob spoke up before Liv could take alarm to this.

"It's a sterilizer, it kills all pathogens known in the computer system. It's nothing to be alarmed about, just hold still and we'll be fine."

As the laser grid pass through the cat daemon and the bunny medic-daemon, it turns a deep jade as it comes back. Deep hissing noises startled Liv slightly.

The LAB is unremarkable small, the smells of chemicals and various types of blood are prominent enough to make Liv's eyes burn. Bob climbs off of Liv and wobbles to a desk where an item is available.

A PROTOTYPE PLASMA KNIFE.

There is a DNA UNCODER, a highly illegal device on this ship. Use of this machinery is punishable by Firing Squad.

Bob retrieves his hidden UPGRADE MODULE from his Quantum Pocket (i forgot about that when making the list earlier) and he lowered it onto the DNA-UNCODER. The tip of the DNA-UNCODER glows with blue light, strands of Bob's DNA flies through into the air where it subsequently disappears. Bob looks visibly sicker as he does this, but he stands strong.

The UPGRADE MODULE is now uncoded of Bob's DNA!

"Here, you wanted this," Bob slid over the UPGRADE MODULE. "You'd might also fancy this too, it runs on a nuclear battery, and those aren't around too often, use it sparingly." Bob forked over the PROTOTYPE PLASMA KNIFE.

Liv acquired and equiped the PROTOTYPE PLASMA KNIFE, it adds +50 ATK and 20% To BURN and ENEMY. It runs on a NUCLEAR BATTERY, which are probably not a lot to come by.
Liv acquired the UPGRADE MODULE, she broke it in her fist and orange nanomachines flooded her every orivace. Every last one of them.

"Great, now you have the -"

IOTA9000's bootup jingle plays in the air. A cold, fluid-like feeling spreads throughout Bob's and Liv's neuron chip.

"Hello Medical Personal, Daemon-1241. Hello, Daemon-1995. It has seems that there are unknown entities currently on deck. Please confirm their identities or I will be forced to (*KACKLE*) The Alarm System at this point is inoperable. There are intruders on deck, I repeat, intruders on deck."

"We already know about The Abomination, mate," Bob deadpanned.

"Processing Information... Negative, these intruders seem to be armed with Plasma Cutlasses and Plasma Handguns. They do not match the unknown entity. These new hostiles are recognizable. Scanning.... Scanning... They are of a rival Mercenary Company, SolarFlare Corps. Remove hostiles at once."

"Well, where are they?" Bob asks.

"Scanning... Scanning..." IOTA9000 hummed "They are currently on the LOWER DECK, THE MIDDLE DECK, and THE UPPER DECK. They seem to be engaging with multiple unknown entities."

"Entities... could that be those infected with 1829's virus?" Bob thought outloud. "Liv, we ought to see."

"Because today really couldn't get any worse, could it?"

Anything else in the LAB worth noting?
>>
>>994815
There are vials of brains stacked on a shelf port side, and there are charts of every species' anatomy starboard. The desk stands in the center of the LAB and besides the DNA -UNCODER, it's just a mess of crumbled up papers with chemical formulas on it and trashy animie drawings. (hint: the artstlyle makes DeviantArt looks like the fucking renaissance). There is a JOURNAL LOG on the desk beside the DNA-UNCODER that Liv can swipe without Bob's knowledge thanks to her skill in AGILITY. Perhaps there are some things Bob isn't telling Liv? Maybe he writes raunchy fanfictions? Maybe he draws more shitty art in the pages?

On the floor are manga books, chewed up wires, broken DVDs of hent- yeah, nothing worth looking at.

Also on the desk, there is a IHOLO SPACE PRO computer. Of course, there's no power internet running, but the damn fool forgot to close out of his many Jumblr tabs - but more importantly he neglected to close out of his 2Sama /h/ tab.

>>994841
"The only camera feed we have is in the COMMAND CENTER on the highest floor. As you probably guessed, we don't have access to that room without... you know... a mess," Bob replies, scratching the back of his neck. "Unless IOTA9000 can-"

"NEGATIVE. I am not in operable state, my CORE was ripped from the wall in the COMMAND CENTER, I am running off of 1995's, 1421, and 1776's neuron chip combined to stay (*KACKLE*) stabilized," IOTA9000 replied quickly. Medic Log: 4,100,004 Light Years away from home.
I don't believe myself, I can't believe the Officers, god damn them to hell! Out of all of the bloody doctors on this damn ship, why do I get called out to take care of THE MUTANT like it's my job to babysit all of our experiments? Why do these experiments happen anyways?! What are we trying to prove?! That we can fuck with the natural order of biology and create our own fucking cloneable soldier? To create a new species to counteract The PrometheanCorp Mercenaries and to deter any aggression from non-daemon forces?

What are we getting ourselves into, trying to win this arms race with these rival corporations as if it's another goddamn cold war. I am a Doctor, not a scientist looking out for some greedy pig's chess pieces so he can make a quick buck! I am angered and distraught by the fact my job is only being paid by a war economy, forced to cause harm to my fellow daemons and drive them mad and record data nonstop.

Mother, whoever you are, I do not think I have the strength to go on. I haven't slept in a week, I fear I have neglected my stomach, I have substituted my meals with bottles of water to stay alive. These experiments haunts me. I never want to preform one ever again.

Medical Log: I don't know how far from home, if I can even call it home.
My nights are filled with the screams of THE MUTANT, we have voided and redacted THE MUTANT's ID number for it may cause controversy if it every leaked into the news. Our big rich arsehole may lose his seat in the Galactic Senate if word of this ever comes back to bite him in his fat arse.
THE MUTANT has lost all physical bone structure after the [REDACTED] injections, he his glowing a [REDACTED] color. THE MUTANT won't stop screaming, his lungs seem to be empty during the early mornings. THE MUTANT's screams are so tormented, horrible. Even when I am in the SICKBAY, taking care of a female [REDACTED] avian, I can never shake the screams from my mind. I wish not of harm for anyone, dear mother, but I would kill THE MUTANT for the sake of releasing him of pain. The thought of living agony with every fiber of my being hurts my very soul.
Hopefully, I am able to rest tonight. Tomorrow, I will feed myself whatever I can find. I will see if I can ease THE MUTANT's pain with hallucinations.

Medical Journal.
1776 keeps me company in these troubling nights, soothing me to a state of half-sleep with those lullabies of hers. I am certain that she has grown very fond of me and I fear that I share the very same red feeling. I have not done anything indecent with her, not while IOTA9000 has eyes everywhere and risk being Court Martial'd. 1776's lullabies quiet the screams of THE MUTANT in my head, I am not sure why this shellshocked avian is fond of me.

Bob inhaled deeply before exhaling.

"Fine," Bob sighs. "THE MUTANT is a failed experiment to create a weapon to counter the EXOSuits the PrometheanCorps created. An arms race, dare I'd say the fourth cold war."

"THE MUTANT's body structure became weak after a certain injection, all the way until he became naught but a pink goop monster. This goop interfered with basic machinery and can cause static feedback, I fear that THE MUTANT is psychic and that's why 1776's eyes were that color - 1776's eyes are blue, not fuchsia.," Bob continues, "1829, Liv, is not THE MUTANT but is part of THE MUTANT. We... I was forced to feed unfavorable Daemons to THE MUTANT. The MUTANT grows stronger with everything it consumes, it can interfere with electronics, mind control, anything. I created THE MUTANT, and those rich bastards wanted me to fix the mistake - they wouldn't allow me to euthanize him before it was too late because they invested a lot of money in the project."

>>996885

"The mercs will get infected soon or they will defeat the infected and the mutant. In one case we are screwed and in the other we are screwed too. Daemons aren't legally people and while they would normally capture medical personel for interrogation, this time they won't because quarantine rules and to eliminate any complications. Either then wanted the mutant for themselves or they used it as excuse to leak the data and look like the good guys in comparison.

And if we have to deal with infected mercs, well then we are as good as dead.

Oh and I think... we were sold out, too many coincidences. Heck the only reason we are not dead yet is because the mutants and the infected after fighting the mercs. 9000 the situation has got beyond what we can deal with, give us evacuation plans. We will take your core and evacuate in one of the shuttles in the cargo bay, hopefully the shuttle hardware will work better than the chips. That or you space the intruders, but the enemy mercs have their own ship, so even if you found a lophole to do that they would just blow up the ship out of spite."

>We could have dealt with the enemy mercs or the mutant and the infection but we cannot deal with both. The ship AI core must be retrieved to avoid falling in enemy hands. Bob is still valuable for the company, you are vat grown but Bob needs a bodyguard. The company might hunt you two if you survive, don't mention that to 9000. Start over or clean up? Even if they still want Bob alive you are a liability. Just frame it as evacuation and savage. The ship AI will prefer evacuation of the core than being wipped out.

Find a way to null the signal to the chips?
>>

"Here's the problem with that though, we can't physically reach the core because it's located in the COMMAND CENTER and that's ground zero for head explosions. We could wipe the data clean, redact everything in the software & nanoware, but we can't reach the hardware," Bob pointed out, "Second, we can't just take a ship and go - they're locked by DNA we don't have because THE MUTANT ate everybody. We'd have to use a ESCAPE POD, but we would have to restore power to the LOWER DECK and rewrite directions of energy from the fuel tank. Our only chance of leaving alive is to take me into the ENGINEERING ROOM so I can restore power to the ESCAPE PODS, then we take an ESCAPE POD out of here. However, with all of that complications - we're gonna run into a Merc, 1776, or we're gonna run into an infected - or even worse, THE MUTANT, for sure."

We don't really have a choice. How do we get to the ENGINEERING ROOM?

"We take the elevator and we make a beeline towards the ENGINEERING ROOM, hope we don't get stopped. At all," Bob pulled up the map of the LOWER DECK again. "After that, we rush towards the ESCAPE PODS."

Bob looked reluctant. "I want to bring 1776 with me."

*chuckle* looking to gather a harem?
>>
>>997453
You mean the thing that tried to murder us? How do you intend to do that?
>>
>>997465
"Between a blind bird with crippling psychosis who stabbed me and a maniac cat who eats dead people faces?" Bob grunted, "My love life sucks and I visit 2Sama every day.
>>997478
"How do WE intend to do that," Bob retorted. "You need me and I won't do a thing until 1776 is secure with us."
>>
>>997531
I just think you have a thing for broken people. Alright let's rescue her any idea how to free her from the abominations control. Or shall we just tie her to a chair and drag her onto the escape pod.
>>
>>997548
"The thing I don't understand is why would The Abomination focus on possessing 1776, rather than flat out killing her? Does it seem itself as a god or something...?" Bob strokes his chin. "We could always knock her out and tie her up, maybe proximity could affect how The Abomination's powers work."
>>
>>997561
Probably just wants somthing to defile. Who knows. *looks for blunt object* so you distract 1776 and i thwap her on the back of the head?
>>
>>997565
"She's a trained motherfucking daemon, how the hell do you expect that to work?" Bob deadpanned.
